 "The Fast Growing Town!"
Far more inland on the south eastern stretch of Unova surrounded by abundant trees, but not lacking in that fresh and crisp sea breeze from the oceans, Accumula town can be found as one of the larger towns in Unova. Not quite a city since it has only so much of a populace, Accumula Town makes up for that in it's fast growth. Because of it's rather ideal location just inland from beaches and ocean, and the landscape here is full of hills and so much potential, Accumula Town is one of the fastest growing communities in Unova. People will come here to get away from it all having lived in central Unova, and no one can say no to the spacious and beautiful views from the hill sides that make up the most of this landscape.

Dowsing Rod (1/7)Having taken the time to make sure that her Pokemon were rested and tended to at the Pokemon Center in Malie City, Emiri returned most of her Pokemon to their Pokeballs at that point knowing that it was going to be a long flight north up to Unova. Her Pokemon were familiar with interregional travel and what the long distances could entail, so they were familiar with the idea of traveling and flying in shifts so as not to tire themselves out and strain themselves on the long flight. Starting with Azuran, Emiri mounted the fossil with the baby in her lap, knowing that his incredible wingspan was definitely suited for long term travel. He was able to travel incredible distances in just one strong push of his wings and glide on the air currents that flowed through the air. Emiri was content in the long flight, having always enjoyed the peace and tranquility of being up in the air. She played with the baby while he was awake and conversed with Azuran along the way, the fossil recounting some of the challenges they had faced while they were stuck in the canyons just days ago and Emiri beginning to reminisce about some of the things they had done in the Unova Region. Next was Lynno and Salamence when Azuran began to tire, letting the two out of their Pokeballs. Emiri was fascinated with Salamence’s new form, he had undergone the same process that Lynno had that was referred to as Mega Evolution, it had been completed unprecedented. His entire body structure changed, his wings were bigger, tougher, stronger, and his body became more streamlined but even sturdier at the same time. His flight capabilities were vastly different now in this new form, and Emiri spent this length of their long flight learning more about his new form, knowing that he would need a new saddle now, as his old one didn’t fit any more. Getting into late afternoon, the last shift of flight was Charizard after she had taken some time to rest in her Pokeball for the better part of the day, and it was now that Emiri sat down and had a map laid out in front of her on Charizard’s back, beginning to map out their route to hit each Pokemon Center in the Unova Region. Unova was by far the biggest and most populated region in the world, and had the most Pokemon Centers listed out of any other region as well. It was definitely going to take some time to get to each and every one of them, but Emiri was ready for the challenge, as she had been those years ago.
It was late into the night when Emiri and Charizard had made it to Accumula Town, a small yet fruitful town in the southern portion of the Unova Region, and gathering her stamp in making it to the Pokemon Center, they were done for the night. Emiri and her Pokemon found a space out in the outskirts of town to set up camp for the night, and took a well deserved rest in order to get ready for traveling the biggest region in the world. Grae and their Pokemon followed one of the roads out of Nuvema Town and Accumula Town. The route was rather beautiful, with many trees and a nice sea breeze the entire way. At one point, the road neared the ocean. Grae had stopped suddenly to enjoy the view of it again. They took note of the subtly different scent of this air than that of Nuvema Town. It was slightly fresher and had a crisp smell. Grae suspected it was due to being farther away from restaurants and other buildings. Shortly after this brief stop, the group arrived at Accumula Town. “Watson, would you mind navigating us to the Pokemon Center of this town so we can collect the digital stamp for the race?” Grae requested of the Pokemon who, at this time, was inside the X-transceiver. “Why of course! According to the map of the region, specifically this town, the Pokemon Center should be just a little bit ahead, about 150 yards from the edge of the town. If we continue to follow this path, we will eventually reach the Pokemon Center which will be to our right,” Watts responded. “Thank you, Watts.” Crème and Fumitaka were Grae’s only Pokemon in their Pokeballs. Cei and Kazuno walked near them. Grae patted the egg incubator on their back gently and smiled towards it. Cei noticed something in the distance and began to speak, “Hey, Grae, there are people up ahead that appear to be handing out flyers. Do you know what they are for?” “I don’t know, but maybe they are welcoming people into the town for the race. We should try to grab one when we get closer.” Cei was about to run forward a bit to get a better look but Kazuno stepped in and put her arm in the way of the Zorua. She then pointed at the two people handing out flyers again. Cei and Grae stopped and took a closer look at the people. When the two people turned around to try and get passersby to take flyers, Grae’s face lost its color. On the backs of the people’s shirts were Team Plasma emblems. Cei immediately hid behind Grae and changed his appearance to that of a young boy. “Maybe we should find a different way around?” Cei suggested timidly from behind Grae. Grae was unable to respond. Watson was confused by the situation, but decided to suggest an alternate route, “If we go back approximately 175 yards, there is a fork in the path. We could go down the other way we haven’t gone and that will lead us to another entrance of the town. Is something wrong, Grae? Do you know those people?” “No, that won’t work, Cei… They’ll probably be at all the entrances… I wish I didn’t know those people, Watts… Let’s just, keep going and try not to attract attention. I don’t think my clothes will tell them who I am, but, Cei, could you stay close to me and disguise them too to look more normal?” Grae was finally able to respond and was trying their best to remain calm. This would be the first time they would knowingly meet Team Plasma supporters since losing their parents. Grae thought it would be easier with all the time that has passed, but was disappointed in themself to find that was not the case. It was almost like a choking feeling they hadn’t felt in a long time. Sensing Grae’s panic, Kazuno gently tugged at their leg and made a hand movement used when centering oneself to try to calm them down. “Thanks, Kazuno…” Grae responded with a forced smile, but was genuinely appreciative of the gesture. Cei held closely to Grae and disguised their clothes as requested along with his own appearance. Grae put away the X-transceiver and whispered to Watson to remain quiet until they reached the Pokemon Center. Grae, Cei, and Kazuno then continued towards their inevitable encounter with these Team Plasma supporters.

As the group walked closer to the leafleters and the start of Accumula Town, Grae’s anxiety increased. They tried to calm down, but the possibilities as to what would happen during this exchange made their mind race. They wondered if they would be recognized or if they can keep their emotions in check during the conversation that the leafleters will force on them. They were also worried about Cei since, if his true identity would be discovered by them, they may try to take him away, which Grae would certainly not want to happen. By the time Grae snapped out of it and was out of their own head, they and their Pokemon were near the two strangers who were now walking towards them. Grae took a deep breath in to try again to calm themself. “Greetings, young trainer! Would you care to join our rally in a couple of days here in Accumula Town to hear about the atrocities trainers like yourself are doing to their Pokemon by enslaving them for battle?” One of the strangers, a modestly dressed man, said to Grae as he handed them a flyer. “Uh, no thanks. I am just traveling through this town on my way to a farther destination with my younger brother… We, er, have no interest in staying in this town for too long…” Grae managed to respond back, avoiding eye contact with the man. “Come on, you should at least try to hear how wicked people really are. We are just trying to save Pokemon from the human scum of this earth!” The other stranger, a sharply dressed woman with a fiery attitude, stepped in to try to convince Grae to join the rally. “Eh, I’d rather not. As I said, we are simply traveling through and don’t mean to stay long.” “But come one, you have-” The woman began to say. “That is enough, Imelda. Clearly, this one wishes to continue to live in ignorance of the suffering she imparts on her Pokemon. She is a lost cause. If we push more, the city won’t let us hand out flyers anymore.” The man interrupted Imelda. “Fine! Can’t say I didn’t try though, Hank…” The two leafleters stepped aside and Grae walked briskly past them, trying their hardest to hold back tears. Cei found it a bit difficult to keep up the pace while still holding on tightly to Grae, but managed. Grae did not let up the pace until they had reached and walked into the Pokemon Center.

Upon getting inside, Grae fell to their knees and started panting as if out of breath. Cei was unable to keep the illusion on Grae and, seeing Grae in this state, also broke his own ilusion. He moved to comfort Grae and asked if they were alright. Kazuno also moved to console Grae as neither she nor Cei had ever seen Grae in this state. It was much unlike the calm, collected demeanor of their friend. Watson also left the X-transceiver to show his support. The three Pokemon looked at Grae with both concern and confusion. A few of the people were now looking over at Grae with confusion. One of the people had called Nurse Joy over to come help the young trainer who quickly came to assist. “Um, are you okay? This is a Pokemon Center and it is safe here. I am Nurse Joy. Who might you be?” Grae was unable to respond at first. After a couple of moments, they managed to calm their breathing enough to mutter out, “Grae. My name is Grae Taiji…” “That is good to know. Thank you. Well, Grae, whatever or whoever is bothering you cannot hurt you here. Are you or your Pokemon hurt?” Grae couldn’t manage to say a word this time, but was able to shake their head no. “Is there something I could do to help?” Grae stayed silent, but this time, Cei timidly responded to Nurse Joy’s question. “If you don’t mind, I think some water might help.” “Yes, I’ll get some water. I’ll be right back, okay, Grae?” Grae stayed where they were and stared with wide eyes at the floor. Nurse Joy stepped away for a moment to grab a cup with water, but was visibly concerned at the state of the trainer, even if they were just a stranger. When she returned, Nurse Joy attempted to offer the water to Grae, “Here is some water if you would like it.” To the surprise and relief of Grae’s Pokemon and Nurse Joy, as well as a couple of onlookers, Grae moved up and knelt on their knees, proceeding to grab and drink the water Nurse Joy offered. The look on Grae’s face was one of exhaustion, but it was noticeably less tense than it had been since encountering the Team Plasma supporters. After taking a big gulp, Grae finally said more words. “Thank you, Nurse Joy. This really helped. I am sorry that I worried all of you,” Grae said as they looked around at their Pokemon as well as the people of the room. “If you don’t mind me asking, what happened, Grae?” Nurse Joy questioned. “We encountered the Team Plasma supporters at the entrance of the town. They didn’t do anything bad, but, seeing and talking to them made me so nervous and afraid. I haven’t felt like that in a long time…” “You must not like what Team Plasma has to say about people and Pokemon. Don’t worry about them, they just like to spout their own ideals at everyone. The leafleters are a bit forceful sometimes when trying to get people to listen to them, but they never hurt people or else the mayor would never let them do what they do again. They also aren’t allowed to hand out their flyers here or antagonize the guests of the Pokemon Center, so you don’t have to worry about that either. If you’d like, I can get a room booked for you and your Pokemon for the night so that you all can rest.” “Yes, that would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.” Grae replied as they got up and followed Nurse Joy to the reception desk. When they got to the desk, Grae waited in front of it as Nurse Joy went around behind it to access her computer. “Now, I simply need your trainer ID from your device and a title for you for our system. Is that a Ms. Grae Taiji?” Grae giggled softly for a moment, which reaffirmed to their Pokemon companions that they were now doing much better. “Actually, it isn’t Miss nor Mister. I prefer Mx, but if your system doesn’t allow for that input, Ms is acceptable.”

Grae awoke to the light of dawn beginning to shine through the window of their room in the Pokemon Center. They were slightly disappointed in themself, as they were used to waking up just before dawn, but, considering the events of the previous day, Grae forgave themself for sleeping in a little later than usual. Kazuno was already awake and was meditating in front of the window. Cei was snuggled next to Grae and awoke upon feeling them move to wake. Watts was still asleep in the X-transceiver. Grae looked around the room after getting up from the bed and stretched a bit. Cei, still a little sleepy, asked Grae, “Are you feeling better today?” “Yes, I am feeling much better today. I don’t think the Team Plasma supporters will bother me as much the next time we see them, but, I think we should handle our business in this town and leave before that rally they mentioned.” Grae began to collect their belongings. They decided to leave the X-transceiver off so Watts could rest a bit more before putting it into their pocket. Once ready, they called out to Kazuno, who was still meditating, for all of them to leave. Kazuno’s ear twitched at the sound of Grae’s voice. She then got up from where she was sitting and followed Grae and Cei out of the room. The group went down the hall to the main room of the Pokemon Center. Although Nurse Joy was not at the front, considering how early it was, another employee of the Center was who said good morning to them as they appeared. “Good morning,” Grae responded before continuing, “I know it is early, but do you think you could give us a digital stamp on our Pokedex for the GTS race? Would you also be able to check us out of our room? We are planning to leave today to the next town for another stamp.” “Ah, yes! I can certainly help you with that! I just need your trainer ID and Pokedex and I can give that stamp to you!” The receptionist replied, who was in an oddly bright and bubbly mood given the time. Grae handed her the requested items and waited patiently for them to be returned. “Okay! Your stamp is now on your Pokedex. Congratulations on obtaining your first one of the race! Now, I’ll just-”

Suddenly, a set of doors on the far side of the Pokemon Center opened wide. Nurse Joy, still in her pajamas, and one of her assistants rushed in pushing a medical bed with them. A look of worry was on both of their faces that soon spread to the faces of Grae and the receptionist. The receptionist called out to Nurse Joy, “Need me to prepare anything for you all?” “No, thank you! We should be able to handle this one ourselves.” Nurse Joy called back as she continued to rush through the main lobby of the Pokemon Center and to the back. “Well, they should be able to handle this. Nurse Joy always can. As I was saying, here is your Pokedex and trainer ID back. Did you want me to check the health of your Pokemon?” “No, I believe we are all healthy. We were planning on eating breakfast then perhaps heading to the next town, although, I am worried for the health of the Pokemon Nurse Joy just brought in… It looked rather small and young.” “She should be able to handle the situation. If you want though, you are free to eat and wait here until she is done tending to it. You can then ask her about the Pokemon.” “I believe I shall do that. The cafeteria is in the other room, correct?” “Yes! Of course, they do serve 24 hours. Please enjoy the food!”

Grae, Cei, and Kazuno walked to the cafeteria of the Pokemon Center. It was smaller than the main lobby, but still quite spacious. Before they went up to grab some food, Grae decided it was time to wake up Watson so that he could enjoy the food too. They pulled out their X-transceiver and turned on the screen to see the sleeping face of Watts. Grae let out a small laugh and then began to whisper Watts in the device, “Watts, good morning! It is time to wake up now. Hope you slept well.” Watson slowly woke up, noting how early it was. “Yes, Cei, Kazuno, and I are used to waking up rather early. In fact, this is a bit late for us to wake up. We usually wake up a bit before sunrise. I must have been tired from yesterday and overslept…” Watts jumped out of the phone and buzzed around Grae for a moment to stretch before stopping in front of them and smiling. Watts was certainly awake now and seemed to be eager to eat. Grae purchased food for all of their Pokemon and themself before finding a table for them to sit at. They then released Crème and Fumitaka from their Pokeballs and invited everyone to eat. As they were all eating, Kazuno had noticed that Grae was eating slower than usual and seemed to have something on their mind. She went up to Grae and got their attention before gesturing towards their plate. “So you noticed. That isn’t surprising. The food is good, but I am worried about that Pokemon, especially considering that there didn’t seem to be a trainer also following Nurse Joy. I know worrying isn’t going to help. Perhaps I just need to distract myself from it.” Kazuno shook her head before pointing towards the exit of the cafeteria. Grae realized what Kazuno was trying to say despite the two not being able to speak to each other. Grae could tell that Kazuno always appreciated this about their relationship, even though Cei could technically come to translate for the two of them. “Ah, yes, I should go check on the Pokemon once we are done eating. Thank you, Kazuno. You always have sound advice to give. I’ll finish eating and then we can go do that.” Kazuno smiled before bowing to Grae and leaving to finish her food. Grae went back to eating and was feeling noticeably better about the situation. They ate all of their food and when the others were done too, they all headed back to the main lobby of the Pokemon Center.

Dana Griswold The trip to Accumula Town was more work than she had appreciated. Dana had made the trip all the way from Floccesy Town, sure, but it had been a longer day than she was willing to admit. She had rested in Nuvema before visiting the Professor. She was huffing and puffing by the time they reached Accumula Town's center. She nearly fell into the bench and Tonya squealed out in a panic when that happened. Dana smiled weakly as she settled in, rubbing her thighs first while she tried to cool off and recover some of that energy. She poured water onto her face, opening her mouth when she wanted to drink some of it. Much better with water. She should catch a Water Type Pokemon...She wanted things to garden with anyway. The woman took deep, slow breaths and weakly slapped the bench. Tonya took the signal and leaped up to her trainer, nudging her hand nervously. "It's...Okay. Just...tired...!" She insisted, panting a little before taking another deep breath. Calm down. Deep breaths. She thought she had done better on the way here, but she had also been able to take a boat. And mom was able to take her to Virbank. Someone to talk to apparently made any walk a million times better! Dana just smiled, shutting her eyes and imagining the boat ride, and saying goodbye to her mother. That had been more emotional than she anticipated. She had started to think her mom didn't care anymore. Slow, deep breath. Dana had been held and kissed and even got some tears. She smiled to herself and was able to rest her hand on Tonya's head. Dana Griswold It was dark out when Dana came around, jolting awake with a sharp gasp. Where was the light? She looked up. Oh, it was just after sunset. She looked down to Tonya who had jumped at the sound of her trainer waking. She had dozed off with her body heating up against Dana's hand in some small hope of keeping her warm and comfortable while she recovered. "I should have had more to eat before I got off the boat." Dana admitted with a small frown. Losing some weight to get fit was one thing, but neglecting to eat in hopes of being "lighter" for the sake of travel had proven to be exactly as stupid as her mother had suggested it would be. At least she managed to get someplace safe before the consequences of her decision struck her. Tonya snuffled at an envelope she had laid on top of while waiting. A strange man had stopped by to check on Dana while she was asleep. Tonya had been prepared to defend her trainer but the man had watched her sleep, slipped the letter underneath her thigh, then left without anything more than a glance at the Tepig. Tonya pulled it out from under Dana's leg and protected it under her own body...just in case. Now she was nudging it to her trainer with her nose. "Hmm? What's this? Did you bring me some mail?" That didn't make any sense even to her sleepy brain...still rather that than whatever it might really be. The message was simple and included a folded note that glowed when Tonya moved over to inspect it with a sniff. More accurately, the letters on the page were glowing? What even was this? She mumbled the message to herself several times--cordial greeting, light introduction with no actual introductions, well wishes...there it was. "'I trust this gift will serve you and your new Pokemon well. It should give you an edge in your first endeavor.'..." Dana paused in reading, flipping the page over, then back, then looking at the signature. "It's signed 'Ben E. Dicot.' I don't even know a Ben." She frowned and looked to Tonya, who stared back with some confusion. "I guess we could at least use the gift." She sighed as she looked up at the night sky, then back down to the road ahead. "...We should get going first. Who knows what we'll find along the way!"
It was time to move on. Once Tonya and Dana were in Striaton City she would take a break and they could get rest and eat plenty. For now Dana picked some berries and a nutrition bar out of her bag, giving most of the berries to Tonya while biting into the bar herself before popping a berry into her mouth. Even a little squirt of flavor was better than these things on their own. But they were supposed to help keep her nourished and that's what mattered right now. Grae and their Pokemon went straight to the front desk upon leaving the cafeteria. “Excuse me, I was wondering if you’d be able to tell me how the Pokemon Nurse Joy rushed in earlier was doing? I was a bit worried about it,” Grae said to the helper at the desk. “Ah, yes, the Togepi from earlier! Nurse Joy is just about done healing it. Its injuries weren’t severe, but she wanted to make sure it was okay since baby Pokemon can be affected by even minor injuries worse than older Pokemon. She did mention there was something peculiar about this Togepi, however. Besides that, it was generally healthy! If you want, I can lead you to go see it. Though, you will have to return all of your Pokemon except for one of your choice before going to the back,” The receptionist responded with a kind smile. “Yes, that would be greatly appreciated,” Grae said thankfully before returning everyone except for Kazuno. “Alright, just follow me!” The helper said as she got up and began to lead Grae and Kazuno to the back area of the Pokemon Center. The three of them walked past several rooms for patients before the helper stopped in front of one of them and knocked. She then opened the door and walked in, signaling for Grae and Kazuno to follow. “Nurse Joy? It is just me and a concerned trainer. We are here to check in on the Togepi you brought in earlier.” “Ah, yes,” Nurse Joy said looking up from the tablet in her hand that she was using to write notes on. “The Togepi is doing well now! She is in great health and only had some minor injuries earlier. Although, I noticed it has an interesting appearance, hence why I rushed it in here. As you can see, her shell is iridescent and her skin sparkles like a diamond. I have never seen a Togepi like this before. It didn’t seem to have a trainer when I found her but was being attacked by a shiny Murkrow which I had to scare away. I was worried about what would happen to it if the wrong people found it…” Grae and Kazuno were in awe at the beauty of the small Pokemon. They, too, had never seen a Pokemon quite like it. The Togepi noticed them looking at her and waved happily towards them before hopping off the bed and hugging Grae’s leg. “I see the little gal likes you, Grae! You must have good energy in you as Togepi gravitate towards people of positivity,” The assistant commented. Grae smiled before kneeling down and picking up the Togepi to hug it. Seeing the baby Pokemon filled Grae with an odd sort of happiness they couldn’t explain. The Togepi let out a sound of satisfaction. “I see the Togepi has taken quite the liking to you, Grae! As my assistant said, you must have positive energy that the baby Pokemon finds pleasant. As I said earlier, I don’t think it has a trainer, or perhaps even parents for that matter. Seeing as you are caring for an egg too, you must have a gentle touch that I think would be good with raising the Togepi. Would you like to take her along with you?” Nurse Joy asked, seeming quite pleased at the outcome of this visit. Grae was a bit shocked to be asked this question at first, but already knew the answer to it. They looked up from the baby Pokemon in their arms and at Nurse Joy and responded, “Yes, I will gladly take this Pokemon into my care. Your trust in me is appreciated and I will raise the Togepi well!” Grae then looked back down at the Togepi and waggled their finger in front of it to play with for a moment, “Would you like to travel with us, Togepi?” The baby was distracted by the finger for a moment before the question registered in her head. She raised her arms and let out a chirp of joy, showing Grae that she wanted to go with them. “Alright, I guess that is settled! The Togepi shall travel with you, Grae. Now, I had tried doing some research on the peculiar nature of the Togepi’s appearance while Nurse Joy was tending to it. However, I couldn’t find any information on it besides that Pokemon with abnormal appearances that stray from shiny and regional variant appearances are exceptionally rare. As such, there may be people that’ll try to steal her away from you. So, be warned. You seem to have a strong team with you though, so I don’t think you will have to worry. Nurse Joy and I have to attend to other matters in the Pokemon Center. I can lead you back to the front. You are free to leave the Center whenever you wish after that,” Nurse Joy’s assistant added in. Grae nodded before beginning to turn and follow the assistant when Nurse Joy tapped their shoulder. “Since you are taking the Togepi, I want to give you one of these also,” Nurse Joy began as she pulled out a green Pokeball from a drawer nearby, “It is a Friend Ball. If you use it as the Togepi’s ball, it’ll be especially comfortable when inside and traveling with you, becoming friendlier towards you faster, although I don’t think you will have to worry about her not warming up to you quickly.” Grae took the Friend Ball out of Nurse Joy’s hand. They then held it in front of Togepi, who tapped the button on it playfully, causing her to enter the ball. It shook for a moment before stopping, showing not only that the Togepi did, in fact, not have a trainer already, but also that it chose to join Grae’s team. They immediately released the Pokemon back into their arms and thanked Nurse Joy for the gift. Grae, with Togepi in their arms, the assistant, and Kazuno then walked out of the room and to the front of the Pokemon Center once more.

Kazuno, Grae, and the Togepi walked out of the Pokemon Center. “Alright, so, we need to decide on a name for you, small one. Considering you shine and shimmer, I feel like Lumi, short for Luminous, would be a good name for you!” Grae began, seemingly unaware of the slowing passage of time with each step they took, "It matches your bright appearance and personality, I feel." It wasn’t until Kazuno tugged at Grae’s pant leg, that they realized everything around them had gone still and the only sound was that of a distant jet that quickly grew louder. Grae and Kazuno looked around before realizing the source of the noise was a white spot in the sky moving towards them. They all weren’t sure what it was at first, but it was quickly getting larger and coming clearer into view. It wasn’t until shortly before it arrived in front of the small group that Grae realized the shape was undoubtedly Reshiram herself. Why such a magnificent legendary Pokemon was appearing before Grae, they did not know, but would soon find out as it quickly arrived at their location. Reshiram’s focus was on the trainer as she seemed to hesitate, looking over Grae’s overall appearance. "Hello, young trainer," She spoke in a very strong, and confident voice. She moved closer to the trainer before continuing, "I've been watching you, Grae Taiji, and you've caught my attention," She stated as if it were a great honor to catch her attention. "You have a very unique mind and way of going about life. I respect that," She complimented, trying to explain the reasoning they had the honor of catching her attention. She looked over the trainer before her once more, as if she was seeing through the near monochromatic appearance. "You value all life, and have a large heart, however, you don't let it overpower the mind. That isn't easy for such a young person as yourself," She added, complimenting their integrity she's learned about them. "I want to give you my blessing, but I need you to further prove you are worthy of wielding it," She spoke moving even closer to the gray person before her. She leaned down to look at the small Pokemon with the trainer. So far, her expression was serious and stoic, but once she was looking at the peculiar Togepi with them, her expression faltered only a bit as a small smile appeared. She then stood back upright, her stoic expression returning. "To receive my blessing I need you to answer 3 questions, display me with a Pokemon within my specifications, and battle one of my champions," She explained, "Do you accept my mark?" She asked the young trainer with an expecting look. She waited for a response. Grae wanted to ask more questions of the legendary Pokemon but was slightly nervous regarding the lack of time to ask questions despite being in what appeared to be a state of no-time. As such, Grae simply nodded, seeing that would be the quickest way to give an appropriate response. Once Grae nodded, Reshiram continued, "I need you to answer: Does any Pokemon gain the Bug typing upon evolution?" She asked her first question before pausing briefly. "Who is the oldest known Pokemon?" She asked her second, followed by another brief pause. "What Pokemon shares its human-given category classification with Torterra?" She asked them, making sure to speak very clearly. "Once those are answered. I need you to show me a Pokemon that is immune to at least one status ailment, and tell me why that is." She explained and once she finished her words, she would wave her winged arm, and a Pokemon would appear. A Granbull appeared by the Reshiram, although it seemed neither angry nor aggressive, but proud to be there. "Do not fear battling my Champion, he is honored to battle you, as you should be." She stated, not wanting the kind-hearted to worry about harming the Granbull. "I'll be watching, take your time getting your answers, and battle my champion when you're ready. Call my name once you have your answers." She told the trainer, and once she was done the legendary disappeared just as quickly as she had appeared and time returned back to normal.

Grae and Kazuno were certainly caught off guard by the appearance of Reshiram. They may not have believed it had actually happened if the legendary Pokemon’s champion, Granbull, were not still standing in front of them. “Well, I suppose that wasn’t just a weird hallucination. Thinking about the request Reshiram made, I think I already have the answers to her questions, plus, there is Watson, who is immune to paralysis. All we have to do is defeat this Granbull and I suppose say the answers aloud before calling Reshiram’s name? Alright, Kazuno, ready your-” As Grae was turning to address Kazuno, they say something out of the corner of their eye flying fast towards them. They hunkered to cover Lumi with their body. Kazuno, with her quick reaction time, blocked the oncoming object before it could hit Grae, stopping it in its track. The flying object turned out to be a Murkrow with a pinkish-purple coloring to it, a sign of it being shiny. Once Grae stopped covering Lumi, she immediately jumped out of their arms. To Grae’s and Kazuno’s surprise, Lumi appeared to be trying to negotiate with the opposing Murkrow and did not show any malice towards the bird. The Murkrow seemed to agree to be reasoned with at first and landed next to Lumi. The two had what looked like a very enthralling conversation. Suddenly, though, things seemed to turn south very quickly and the Murkrow prepared an attack. Kazuno was about to step in to ward off the attack, but Grae suddenly threw a Pokeball at the Murkrow, hoping this would somehow quell the heated debate. To everyone’s surprise, the ball successfully captured the Murkrow. Grae did not dare to let it out immediately, saying to the ball once they picked it up, “I’ll leave you in there to cool down a bit.” Grae walked over and picked up Lumi before turning back to the Granbull. “Alright, Granbull, we are ready to fight!”

Granbull readied itself for the battle. “Alright, Kazuno, I’ll need your help! Start us off with a Fake Out attack!” Grae said aloud to Kazuno. Kazuno performed the attack, catching the Granbull off guard by how fast she was. Flinching from the first attack, Grae thought it would be a good idea to follow up with another. “Alright, now, use Fury Swipes!” Kazuno unleashed a fury of scratches on the Granbull, overwhelming it momentarily. It then regained its footing and unleashed a powerful Roar, sending Kazuno backward towards Grae. Although Kazuno would have been fit to battle still, Watts was scared out of Grae’s X-transceiver and onto the battlefield. This would have been fine if Watson was a bit stronger, but Grae decided it best to return Watson immediately and send out Cei instead. In hindsight, though, this wasn’t the best idea as Cei did not know what the situation was and was immediately greeted with a bite attack from the Granbull which left him immobile momentarily. “Cei, sorry, but we have to defeat this Granbull! I can explain more later!” Grae called out to him. The Granbull bit down harder licked Cei. Despite this, Cei managed to reply, “Got it! What do you want me to do?” “Use Fury Swipes to get yourself free!” Cei did as commanded and freed himself, but another bite attack left him immobile again. Once he wiggled himself out enough to do so, he used Fury Swipes again, knocking out the Granbull. “Great work, Cei. While waiting, she looked over all of her Pokemon. There was no doubt that they were all strong, and in great condition, but they looked a bit worn out. She couldn't blame them. They'd been flying so much lately, even over the open ocean and that was no easy feat to battle those winds. Once they had all 114 stamps, Kira was going to treat all of them to a nice, relaxing vacation for a whole week. They deserved it after all the hard work they'd put in recently. Eventually the line moved and Kira was able to get in for her stamp, and off they went again.

Time stopped around Grae and their team, leaving only them and the Granbull unaffected by the pause in time. Reshiram simply appeared in plain sight this time, unlike the first time, next to the Granbull, whom it chided for a moment. Grae’s Pokemon were in shock, except for Lumi and Kazuno, who had seen the legendary already. Cei appeared more in awe than anything and was about to speak until Reshiram began talking. He knew interrupting such a powerful Pokemon would be rude, so he stayed quiet. Reshiram began by complimenting Grae on their battle skills before moving immediately to comment on how fast they were able to come up with the answers. Grae paused for a moment, realizing it might have been considered a bit rude at how fast they knew the answers, but regained confidence in their knowledge. “I apologize if my haste to answer your questions came off as rude or arrogant. I was lucky enough to be able to have much time to study Pokemon at the monastery I spent my time at the past several years. My time there gave me focus and purpose in my life quest. I digress, however. To answer your questions, I find it interesting how you left the most seemingly simple for last. The first question, regarding if any Pokemon gains the bug-type upon evolving, is a bit complicated, as is the second question regarding the oldest Pokemon. The short answer to your question is that no currently discovered Pokemon gains the bug type upon evolving. One artificial Pokemon, Type:Null, gains the ability to become a bug type upon evolving to Sivally, however it requires an item to do so. There is also some evidence suggesting a reclassification of Flygon and Vibrava to bug types, meaning Trapinch would gain that type upon evolving. That was something I heard about before my time at the monastery when I was in a much more… scientific setting…” “To answer your second question, if you asked a spiritually-inclined person like myself, we would say Arceus is the oldest Pokemon, being the first Pokemon, who then created all others. However, at least on our planet, many scientists believe that Mew is the ancestor to all Pokemon, making it the oldest. My answer is Arceus, but my teachings cause me to acknowledge other truths besides my own…” At this response, Grae was a bit nervous knowing that Reshiram was a Pokemon of truth, and was unsure if acknowledging more than one truth would be an insult to the legendary before them. Still, Grae continued with the third answer as Reshiram stood gazing down at them. “As for the third question, we humans give the same classification to Torterra and the legendary Pokemon Groudon. Torterra is a symbol of longevity and wisdom at the monastery I mentioned previously. While Groudon isn’t often talked about at that monastery, we have spoken about it before for its duality and contrast to Kyogre. I hope these answers satisfy you and show you the truth within my heart,” Grae bowed their head much as they would to an elder of the monastery to show their respects to the Pokemon and awaited a response in the silence of this no-time zone.

buggygardener Reshiram Αθήνα Reshiram listened to the young person she had chosen for her mark. She listened to the apology for their haste, this caused her stern expression to break ever so slightly as what could be a small smile grew. They explained that they hard learned quiet a bit of knowledge at the monastery they studied at. She had chosen an interesting one for her mark. "Never apologize for your intelligence. Knowledge is power. Be proud of it. " She advised. Despite her previous thoughts that this person was a bit y was clearly false, seeing that they were well read and articulate at their knowledge. This was what she had wanted to see. She raised a single eyebrow as the trainer in gray assessed her tasks and questions, stating she had saved the easiest for last. This intrigued the legendary, as she moved forward and lowered herself to get at least closer to their height. They explained her first question, stating that there was in fact no Pokemon that evolved and gained the bug type, however they continued to comment on the man made Pokemon, that she was all to familiar. "You are correct. There are no Pokemon that gain bug type upon evolution. That... Creature you speak of gains the typing through items, therefore does not count." She replied, nodding at the fact that the first question was indeed correct. Though she didn't seem exactly happy to be speaking about Type: Null and it's evolution. She listened closely as Grae continued to explain who had come first. Explaining spiritually Arceus had come first, but scientifically Mew had. But their selected answer was Arceus. Reshiram thought for a moment, on how to respond. "This was a tough question to answer, and it is not my place to explain why it it correct. Science is fact, where as spiritually is more faith based." She explained, pausing once more to choose her words very carefully. Even she was not willing to anger Arceus. "But, I will say, your chosen answer is correct." She replied not only was she not wanting to anger Arceus himself, but also she didn't have the time to go into the depth of essentially what came first, the torchic or the egg. They continued to explain that they knew the answer was Groudon, and Torterra despite their vast differences held the same classification. She then nodded to the young trainer. "I almost satisfied with the truth. What you've said thus far is correct, and you have a very interesting mind, and heart. However You have not answered my final question. You have yet to bring forth a Pokemon that is immune to a status aliment, and explain to me why." She explained, she had given them a compliment, but hadn't fully accepted them as right for her mark.

Reshiram seemed quite satisfied with Grae’s answers and had, in fact, complimented them for their knowledge, telling them to not apologize for it. However, she was not fully satisfied as it seemed Grae did not fulfill the last request by Reshiram, which was to show her a Pokemon immune to a status ailment. At the mention of this last request, Grae realized that they had indeed forgotten about that request. “Ah, I apologize, Reshiram. I believe my nerves must have made me forget about your last request. However, I was and still am ready to fulfill this request,” Grae replied, gesturing to Watson, who was out of their X-transceiver, “My companion Watson the Rotom is immune to paralysis due to being an electric type. I believe his appearance should suffice for your last request. I would also like to thank you for your kindness and compliment from earlier.” Upon finishing, Grae bowed their head again at the legendary Pokemon.

She stated, eyeing over the Rotom then back to the trainer. "Once again, proving what an interesting mind you have." She stated looking at Grae as if she were studying them. "That was not the answer I had, yet it is a correct one." She stated with a hint of a smile. "The original answer was that your companion, young Watson, could not be infatuated, due to being genderless." She stated, curious to see how the young human would react. However they did, she stepped back, back into her stoic and proud stance as she looked down to the chosen trainer, and their Pokemon. "However, you have proven worthy of my mark. You've proven your Pokemon's strength, as well as your leadership and intelligence." She complimented, she waved a winged arm as a Pokemon began to appear before her. "You may have one of my very own to stay with you on your journey to aid you further in your studies but also aid in your strategic battling practices." She offered Grae to take the Pokemon before her. Grae has received: +20 exp split amongst Grae's active party as you choose. Elfana Aroway Elfana wished she was able to stop in Accumula Town. Many years had passed since she had last visited and she would have loved a chance to see how much the town had grown. Instead it was another trip straight to the Pokemon Center for her and her team. There was one more town and a boat ride standing between her and her office and she didn't want to dawdle. After they had left the last Pokemon Center, Walter had Teleported with Pantalaimon, Kayuki, and Haruka to Nuvema Town. She would meet up with them after she was done in Accumula Town. Kiro kept a few paces ahead of her, just in case another one of the thieves appeared. Elfana still felt that it was unlikely that they would encounter one of them somewhere so busy but Kiro wasn't taking any chances. He even stayed right by her side in the Pokemon Center. The Toxicroak had about as much faith in the nurses as Elfana did. She refused to comment on her Pokemon's odd behavior while she waited for the nurse to stamp her booklet. She wasn't exactly in the mood for conversation to begin with. The pair left as soon as Elfana's booklet was back in her bag.Unova

Reshiram seemed surprised by Grae’s response, commenting how she had assumed the answer would be that Watson could not be infatuated due to being genderless. Grae blushed slightly for a moment coming to the realization that the genderless description was something the two shared in common. Reshiram quickly returned to her stoic expression and presented a Pokemon to Grae as a gift, praising them for their intelligence and leadership. Under Reshiram’s wing appeared a Rookidee. It looked much like a normal Rookidee save for the regal, yet oddly shaped crown it wore on its head. Besides the appearance of the crown, it seemed to somehow not be able to fall off the Rookidee’s head, as when it tilted its head in curiosity at the young Grae, the crown seemed to not care for the laws of gravity. Reshiram explained how this Rookidee was special and had her blessing, granting it a boost to its steel-type attacks. “Thank you very much, Reshiram. I am eternally grateful not only for this gift but also for gracing us with your presence,” Grae said as they bowed to the legendary Pokemon once more. After bowing, Grae looked at the Rookidee and pulled out a Pokeball, “I believe we shall call you Gallant, after your knightly heritage as a Rookidee and your regal status with your crown. Do you find it fitting?” The Rookidee stood straight up before bowing to Grae before tapping the Pokeball and joining their team. Grae watched the Pokeball shake for a moment. As Grae watched the ball, Reshiram smiled at the sight she beheld before disappearing without a trace. Time around Grae and their Pokemon slowly began to resume. When Grae looked up, she no longer saw the legendary Pokemon but still silently thanked her.

“Well, now that we completed Reshiram’s task, we should get back to that race!” Their Pokemon let out noises of agreement. However, just as Grae finished this, their X-transceiver began to buzz and they pulled it out. “Hello, trainers! We wanted to announce to you the winners of the Around the World Race Event! Thank you to everyone who joined and we wish you all luck in future events!” Upon hearing this, Grae and their Pokemon were disappointed. Grae looked at the time and date on the device and saw that it had been about a week since they had first begun to work on Reshiram’s task. They thought that perhaps time control wasn’t Reshiram’s strong suit, but it to Grae and their Pokemon, only minutes had passed. “That is okay if we didn’t get to participate in the race, now we can just focus on really enjoying and taking in the sights of the places we visit! Plus, we now have a new friend, which is always good. Perhaps we should get going to the next town, though. I have heard that it has a gym. Perhaps we should challenge it,” Grae said with a gentle smile, looking at the bright side of their situation. “That sounds like a great idea, Grae! That should be lots of fun!” Cei said as he seamlessly hopped in the air and transformed back into his human disguise. Grae returned their other Pokemon except for Cei and Kazuno before the three set out down the path towards the next city.

By the time they entered next town, it was getting pretty late and dark. But thankfully, Pokemon Center was right near the entrance, so at least that was easy to find and access. He immediately booked a room, even if this nurse seemed irritated with everything and didn't want to deal with any more visitors. He wasn't going to sleep on streets or search for a coach at stranger's house, no way. Valentine understood her tiredness, but damn. Fabian still hadn't replied, but he assumed that there was a lot of work, and it wasn't anything new in shops.
After getting to his room and leaving most of his stuff, he took his Pokemons down to the dining area for something to eat before sleep. They were probably both hungry and tired from the travel from one town to another, so he wanted to take care of this first. They were left in specified Pokemon-only area, where they could interact with other creatures, although Ophelia stayed by Caspian's side most of the time. Oshawott was minding his own business and ate, while also keeping an eye on his shy teammate.
In the meantime, Valentine was getting his food and drink, and searched his surroundings for a table to sit by. He found one free, near some old man reading a newspaper. He shrugged and sat down to eat, and checked his phone as message came.
"2 in 1 day huh. it looks a bit funny, but shame about the other trainer :| hope you get his ass" he chuckled slightly, seeing his brother's "encouragement".
"yeah i know. he apparently moved to other region tho. im now in next town btw" there was a slight pause, during which Vale took a bite of his sandwich and he heard a man nearby shuffle his magazine.
"idk much about unova, but does this one have a gym yet? would you fight??" Vale was thinking about taking the 'gym challenge' but with only two, relatively weak Pokemons, that might not work out too well. "unsure yet. caspian and ophelia aren't trained too well yet, anyways"
Vale finished his food and went to get his Pokemons, who also seemed to had finished and attempted on socializing with other Pokemons. There was one Patrat, but this one was quite docile and didn't look so malicious. What a difference 'captured' and 'wild' does. Only then he noticed that the man with a newspaper was looking at him, but then turned his gaze away swiftly. Valentine raised his brow, but decided to ignore it - he was probably a new sight there, and he did had a confusing look from stranger standpoint. As long they weren't making awful comments in his direction, he didn't care.
After that, he went back to his room, and after taking a shower and tucking his Pokemons to sleep, he took a moment to read another message. "you named them too?? aww : )"
Rolling his eyes, Vale quickly crafted a reply. "shut upp, i think it fits them. anyways, its late. gnight"
He had hoped Fabian won't take this as dismissive or too passive-aggressive, even if he knew that his twin was great at reading his tone, even through messages. So when another message came, he reached to read it.
"you do you, i like it dw. have a good sleep, call dads tomorrow, k?" and with this knowledge, Vale put the phone down and tried to fall asleep."Poor George, you can kill him, but you’ll never kill his pride"

The moment he woke up, Valentine knew something wasn't right. And because he took his contacts out for the night, his vision was uncomfortably blurry and couldn't really tell.. what exactly was wrong. He groaned, got on his bare feet, and rummaged in his bag to find the glasses case. Then he got his hair out of the way to put them on his nose properly and started looking around the room. As his eyes adjusted to the better vision and dim light, he did spotted something different in the room and at first he thought he was actually still dreaming.
The room had actually two beds, and on the other one his Pokemons slept. And it wasn't odd or wrong. The thing that bugged him out was the fact there were two more Pokemons sleeping, on the very edge of the bed, forming a circle. They were both blue, except one had like a ball attached to it and the other had big orange cheeks. Valentine then noticed the opened window, and he remembered that he left it open - it was getting too hot for his tastes, so.. he opened it for fresh air.
Fresh air but not wild Pokemons. As quietly as possible, he got his PokeDex and scanned them while he had a chance. The blue one with a ball-tail was a Marill, and the other one was a Mudkip. One was native to Johto, and the another to Hoenn. What were they doing in Unova of all places, and in his room, was beyond his imagination. For a moment he thought about getting PokeBalls and catching the pair, but then Marill's ear twitched and it opened its eyes.
Mouse noticed him being well and awake and holding a PokeDex, and nudged really hard its 'sleeping partner'. Mudkip flicked its head-fin in annoyance, but also opened eyes and noticed him, tensing. Marill made a sudden, sharp noise and forced its friends towards the window. Before Valentine could get to close it, they both jumped through and began running over roof of nearby garage, before jumping off it too and disappearing behind the next building.
What the hell was that about?
He had no time to think about it, because his own Pokemons woke up from the screech and commotion. Caspian rubbed his eyes sleepily, while Ophelia yawned and began grooming her fur with her wings. Strangely, they didn't seem as bothered by it, and he really wondered how did the Pokemons even get there unnoticed by them. But he didn't care as much, actually - since all his belongings were in place and nothing seemed destroyed, he had no reason to be.. upset. Maybe they just wanted a place to stay and the city wasn't as good for them? He didn't know. For now he had to go down and get breakfast."Poor George, you can kill him, but you’ll never kill his pride"
