Standing there still, keeping her body calm and her over all demeanor steady and even, Emiri looked back to the creature that stood before her, having never once seen anything like it in her life. She could say that she had seen and experienced a lot in her time as she had been traveling, and she had if she really thought about it, but she knew that in this ever growing world, there were things that she didn't know about and would probably never see in her life. It was humbling to her, to know that as much as she had seen that there was still so much that she could experience, but this, encountering this creature and standing there in front of it, she couldn't have fathomed anything like this. She had had strong feelings about things in the past, she knew that there were certain forces in the universe that acted upon the things that happened in the world, and whether it was some form of Dialga's power, or something she couldn't imagine, she felt compelled and felt it necessary to make sure this creature felt safe. It felt as though she was supposed to meet it, like their paths were supposed to cross though she couldn't explain why or how. She felt like that with all of her Pokemon, all of the companions and family members that she had met over the years, and it didn't seem that this creature was any different.
"I'm not going to hurt you, we're all here to help," Emiri iterated again as she turned her attention back to the creature, and she had noticed then that it had never moved or taken its eyes off of her. She breathed slowly and kept herself calm as she didn't move her hands from its neck or mask, trying to keep it calm as well since it seemed so easy to divert its attention, or even aggravate it.
"Can you talk," Emiri asked after a moment, wondering if the creature was capable of communication at all, so she could maybe find out what had happened to it. The creature blinked though at the sound of her voice, and Emiri could tell that it understood her, but its eyes looked down, almost focusing on the mask that covered its face, and gave a shallow shake of its head.
"Are you hurt," she asked after, knowing that if it at least understood her, it could answer simple questions, despite the mask inhibiting its ability to speak. The creature glanced over to Flareon quickly with its sharp gray eyes, and the dog froze with his ears flat against his head, his fur bristling at the notion. He moved to say something, ever the talkative one that he was, but Charizard stopped him with a sweep of her wing, trying not to insight any aggressive behavior.
"I'm sorry he attacked you. I promise that it was only defense, he was startled. He didn't mean anything by it" Emiri apologized for Flareon, gaining its attention again, but despite what Flareon might have done, she wanted to know if it was hurt because of the mask that was on its head.
"What about this? Did someone hurt you," Emiri asked, looking to her hand that rested on the cold metal of the mask, and the creature followed her gaze slowly before giving a small, almost unnoticeable nod. Emiri felt her heart skip, and she felt a bit sick in her stomach, knowing now that someone had done this to this creature, that someone had put it through some kind of pain.
"Are they here, the person that hurt you," she tried to ask carefully, not wanting to trigger anything with it, in case it was running or trying to hide from whoever had done this to it, but it shook its head, and Emiri knew then that she wanted nothing more than to find who might have done this, and then where this creature might have come from.
"Does it hurt you, having this on," she questioned, wondering how it had even survived for as long as it had. Could it breathe with the mask on, or even eat or drink? The creature shook its head though, and Emiri was almost amazed, at that point thinking the creature to be some kind of steel type since it doesn't apparently seemed harmed from being unable to eat or breathe. Emiri moved her other hand slowly from its neck, and she felt the creature flinch again at her movement, but she kept eye contact with it, and still moved slowly and evenly as she brought her other hand up to the metal of the mask in front of her.
"Does it come off," she asked, but at that point Emiri watched its eyes grow sharp and almost feral again as it backed away with her with a growl and its head shaking erratically, earning a swift defensive movement from her Pokemon as they readied to attack. Emiri stopped them though as she looked at each of them with steady eyes, but put her attention back on the creature. There was something about the mask that triggered it, but Emiri couldn't have imagined that it would react so negatively to the mention of having the mask taken off, or if it even could be taken off at all.
"No, no I'm sorry, you don't need to be afraid," Emiri spoke then, trying to gain its attention back, trying to calm it down after losing its focus so easily. Its behavior was very erratic, very easy to distract and aggravate it seemed, but Emiri could tell that when it did have something to focus on, when it was able to hone in on something, it was very attentive and very understanding. Through Emiri's calm voice its growls and huffs slowed and quieted, and its claws stopped scratching into the ground as it steadied its movements, and she eventually caught its gray eyes again as she held its eye contact, managing to ease it into a sort of calm again. She moved slowly and carefully towards it again, raising her hands to touch the metal of its mask, and while it flinched away from her still, she was able to keep herself calm and steady as she moved towards it again, easing her hands onto the mask to bring its full attention back on her. She didn't know where this creature came from, what it was or what had happened to it, but she felt like she was supposed to cross paths with it and felt like she was supposed to help it. It needed help, someone had hurt it, and it was afraid and flinched at every little thing that she did, or every motion that her Pokemon made, it was broken and couldn't trust anything in this world, and Emiri didn't feel like she could let that go. She couldn't imagine leaving this creature here, without so much as a friend in the world when it seemed like it needed so much help, and while she worried for Nimbus, and Cerian now whom she had found in this place and what the future might hold for them coming with her, Emiri knew that this creature needed help, and she was going to be the one to help it.
"Will you let me help you," Emiri asked softly after a moment, making sure that she still had its attention and focus as she kept her hands steady on the metal of the mask. She could tell that it heard her words, its eyes were calculating as they bore into her, but it hadn't given an answer as it stood there in front of her.
"I don't want to leave you here. I want to help you, and give you a better chance, if you'll let me," Emiri spoke then, and she could tell that she was earning glares and small growls from her Pokemon since they were clearly unsure of what this creature was capable of still, but she couldn't just leave it here, not when it was in need of so much help.
"I promise, I won't ever hurt you, I just want to help you," Emiri tried to explain, unsure if the creature could understand everything that she was trying to say, but she looked into its gray eyes as it slowly nodded, understanding that this human meant her word and did want to help, and that was more than any human had showed.

Knowing that it would take a lot of talking out with her Pokemon, knowing that Charizard was still even wanting to discuss the addition of Nimbus and Cerian to their team and traveling, Emiri was willing to take it all on to help the creature that she had found. She felt so compelled to help it that she just couldn't let it go, and now held the creature carefully in a Pokeball that she had used to bring it with her now. She wasn't sure how she needed to help it or what she could do, but the first step was getting to know it and understand it, and make sure that it wasn't hurt at all with the state of its being. There was a lot she had to think about now, with Nimbus and Cerian, and the mother of the egg they were still looking for that rested gently on Nimbus' tail and she knew that it would all take time to understand, but Emiri felt better still now than she had in a long time through everything that had happened, and she was happy to be out in the fields of the reserve with her Pokemon then. The odd creature she had found was inside a Pokeball now, but Charizard and Azuran stayed close with Emiri now as they had come back towards a tree that stood in the middle of a space of field, where her Pokemon had moved from that morning. Flix decided to stay close though with Flareon too whom decided to stay around with Emiri, but Lynno, Kovu, and Venusaur were still out in the fields, working on their training, or looking for the mother of the egg.
Charizard and Azuran were off to the side, resting on the ground together as Flix was flitting around the area and talking with Nimbus who walked along the ground with his tail floating in the air with the egg safely atop it. Flareon though was resting, laying on the ground beside the tree they had selected for the day as Emiri stood with Cerian, trying to assess where he was with his development with his wings to start figuring out the best way to teach him how to fly.

In the early afternoon out in the fields of the reserve, Emiri remained with her Pokemon that had decided to stick around knowing that a few of her Pokemon were still out and about in the grasses, but she didn't worry about them too much since she trusted them and knew they could work out most any situation. She now spent her time then with the young Replisol that she had met a few days ago, still getting to know him and learn more about his culture and where he had come from, but really just trying to build that trust and connection with him so that they could work more effectively together. Emiri was standing with him on the ground as she had him standing on his four legs with his wings spread and his tail extended, and she was really just assessing his body shape to see how similar he might be to Kovu, and to see if she could train him the same way. From what Emiri remembered about Kovu when he was a Replisol, it seemed Cerian's wings weren't quite as wide as Kovu's were, and his tail was just a bit shorter, but that didn't mean that he was going to be any less of a magnificent flier. If his wings didn't grow out any perhaps by the time that he chose to evolve, it might just take a little bit more effort for him to sustain flight, but she didn't think that would be much of a problem for him. He was ambitious and had big dreams despite not really knowing how to get there, and she had a feeling that his tenacity would only grow with the older he got.
"Okay Cerian, you can let your wings down now," Emiri spoke, watching the deep blue in Cerian's scales shimmer as he moved, folding his wings at his sides as he moved to sit on the ground.
"I don't think you're quite full grown yet for a Replisol, your wings still have a little bit of developing to do, but so far I think that with your build you're going to make a really good flier," Emiri continued with a smile, and Cerian looked up to her with his silver eyes.
"You really do know a lot about flying and stuff, don't you," he returned, having seen so many flying Pokemon that said they traveled with this girl, and they all seemed to be very strong fliers with strong wings and good control, he just didn't get it.
"I guess you can say that. I've always liked flying Pokemon, ever since I was little, and I work with my own flying Pokemon as much as I can to practice and get better," Emiri answered, hoping that Cerian could learn to trust that she was only going to try to help him and that she was knowledgeable about what it took to train something to fly.

Off to the side, Charizard and Azuran were resting on the ground together, the Aerodactyl remaining diligent and caring over Charizard's recovery in her time of sickness. The dragon was getting better, he could tell since she was getting more color back in her scales and her tail had stopped switching elements so often, but whatever she needed he was there to help her through this. They were laying on the ground and were watching Emiri and the young Replisol in the distance, and while Charizard worried for the young dark type and what it could mean to bring him with them, she knew that this was important to Emiri because it would be important to Kovu, and she couldn't help but smile every time that Emiri made a new observation and she got to see her brown eyes light up. It was good to see Emiri getting back to her old roots, before that horrible night they had spent on that island, she just only hoped that it could stay like this now forever, and they didn't have to worry about anything else. Azuran was looking out into the distance, in really no particular direction as he thought to himself, but the sound of wing beats caught his attention, and a scent that almost matched his own, and before he could really take the time to react, there was a roar as another Aerodactyl landed on the ground in front of him, screeching and snarling at him. Despite the clear size difference between the two of them, Azuran wasn't going to let anything pose even a potential threat to Charizard as the rock type stood quickly on the ground, standing on the shoulders of his wings and towering over the smaller fossil as he roared and asserted himself, ready to take the challenge that the fossil thought it was issuing. Azuran wasn't going to stand for it, but was surprised when a dark colored Charizard landed between the two fossils, only earning Charizard's attention now as she too stood on her two legs and flared her wings, roaring and standing together with Azuran to fend off the two Pokemon that had come from no where.
It had only taken the first set of roars to earn Emiri's attention, she turned with a gasp at Azuran's roars to find another Aerodactyl and a Charizard facing off with her own Pokemon, and she almost ignored the Charizard entirely as she thought back to the story that Kovu had told her, that an Aerodactyl was what had attacked him so viciously to try and take the egg that he was trying to protect.
"Nimbus, keep the egg safe," Emiri shouted over the roaring, knowing the Raichu to be close, and the electric type looked on with wide eyes and a scared expression as he moved to step onto his tail, keeping the egg safe as Emiri rushed forward. Cerian, while he tended to want to see the excitement of things, got rather intimidated by the group of larger aggressive Pokemon and remained frozen where he stood, and Flix too made no motion to move forward. Flareon however was awake and alert as soon as he heard the roars, and only barely caught a glimpse of Emiri who was turning to run right into the middle of it all.
"No, wait Emiri," he barked, trying to stop her as he rushed forward after her on his paws.
"Hey, stop, what are you doing," Emiri shouted, coming to the side of the whole confrontation as her two Pokemon roared and bared their fangs to fend off the potential threats that approached them.
"Emiri, stay back," Azuran hissed as he snarled again at the smaller Aerodactyl, but it seemed now that the fossil had turned most of its attention and aggression towards the other Charizard that had appeared, but that didn't mean that Azuran and Charizard were going to let down their guard at all.
"What do you want with us," Charizard snarled with sharp blue eyes, and Emiri only feared the answer as she couldn't help but think back to Kovu's story and how there might still be the Aerodactyl out there searching for the egg that it had tried to get from him, but she couldn't figure out what this other Charizard was doing there, it seemed to have gotten in between Azuran and the other Aerodactyl.

In what seemed to be only a matter of seconds, a huge confrontation had come of the Aerodactyl approaching Azuran with the intensity and aggression that it had, and Emiri's two Pokemon weren't going to have it. They both leered and snarled at the two Pokemon as the other Aerodactyl screeched on about a battle and wanting to assert what strength it thought it had, and Azuran was almost entirely willing to take on the fossil just to put it in its place. He knew his species to be known for their aggression and impulsive behaviors, though it had been such a long time, a life time it seemed really, since he had seen another of his kind. He had been reckless and aggressive in his past life though he didn't recall, but being brought into this new world, he grew into fear and oppression until he had met Emiri that showed him the only compassion he had ever known. Now he was rather docile, and had a very clear understanding of when asserting himself was necessary thanks to Emiri and his fellow teammates, but this fossil showed no signs of contemplation as it was entirely ready to lunge head first into a battle Azuran was sure it wouldn't win. Azuran and Charizard roared back, and Emiri was ready to step into the middle of the entire confrontation if only for the sake of her own Pokemon, to try and calm the other Aerodactyl down since she heard its proclamation of battle, but Flareon stopped her from moving forward any closer to avoid her getting hurt. This other fossil seemed reckless and like it would attack the next thing that moved, but the dark Charizard roared in retaliation at the Aerodactyl, threatening to take it in its own challenge, and Emiri understood then that the two Pokemon knew each other. She was still confused about the entire situation, where the two came from and what they were doing together if they knew each other, but before a confrontation came between the other Pokemon, there was a flash of a pokeball and the Aerodactyl was gone, leaving them in relative silence through the huffing and hissing that came from Emiri's own Pokemon.
Emiri turned quickly to follow the return of the Pokeball, her own demeanor was worked up and she was a little on edge through what could have been a potential threat, especially since she was still so concerned that that Aerodactyl that attacked Kovu could still be out there, but she was met with the sight of a red headed girl moving towards them. Emiri looked at her, noting her height and her young face, and she wondered if she was the same age or maybe even younger than her, but really it didn't much matter to her since the Aerodactyl had almost attacked her own Pokemon. The girl gave a shallow apology though, but was quickly distracted by Azuran whom still stood tall and ready with the other Charizard that still stood in front of him. Azuran looked though, barely moving his eyes from the other fire type as the girl rushed to approach him as she came closer to look at him. Azuran was clearly taken aback by the entirety of the situation, and Emiri hardly had time to say anything to stop the girl as Azuran hissed and bared his fangs at being approached, beyond displeased with even the presence of the other assumed to be trainer. Emiri still couldn't get a word in as the girl looked and caught sight of Charizard standing beside Azuran, glaring down at the girl with her sharp blue eyes as she gave a growl at her words, but it seemed to dawn on the girl finally that approaching the two Pokemon might not have been the best idea as she backed away with hesitation, apologizing again for her erratic behavior. Emiri wasn't sure then which she was more disgruntled by, the Aerodactyl that had almost attacked or the girl who just didn't seem to stop as she could only watch her with wide brown eyes. It wasn't until she backed away with an apology, and Emiri could see a small purple Noibat and a Lucario following close behind that hadn't stopped their trainer at all either that Emiri felt like she could finally say a word, though she wasn't sure at all what she wanted to say to begin with.
"I uh...," Emiri stammered, unsure of how to handle the situation at all as she looked at the red headed girl, and Flareon standing beside her looked up to his trainer, clearly just as unamused with the situation as they all were.
"Just say the word, I'll chase them off," he offered, glaring back at the girl and her few Pokemon, but Emiri looked down and shook her head to Flareon as she tried to think of anything to say.
"What are you doing? Was that your Aerodactyl? It almost attacked my Pokemon" Emiri spoke up finally after a moment, clearly shaken by the whole situation, but now it wasn't so much the Aerodactyl at all, but the fact that she was faced with this girl that came out of no where, and was now having to try and talk through everything that had happened in just a few short moments.

There was so much that Emiri didn't know about the situation that had just taken place as she stood there disgruntled and bewildered, and clearly unable to form any words really to express what she thought about what had happened. The trainer had since returned the Aerodactyl, but was still too close for the taste of Azuran and Charizard, and even too close for Emiri's taste to her own Pokemon as she looked on with wide brown eyes, awaiting some kind of answer, and it came in the form another small explanation, and what seemed to be a very real lack of regard for what the Aerodactyl could have done. While Emiri might not have to worry about her own Pokemon since she knew they could at least handle themselves, or another one of her Pokemon or two would step into a battle if it was getting too out of hand, it could have been any trainer and their Pokemon that the Aerodactyl had happened upon, some that might not be as capable or well matched against the fossil. She looked incredulously though at the girl as she made mention that she didn't think her Aerodactyl meant any harm, and Charizard and Azuran looked to each other with a very real lack of belief in the girl's words. They had heard the fossil's words just as clear as Emiri did, that it wanted a battle and it wanted to beat whatever stood in its path, and that showed real aggression and lack of control for the fossil, Emiri could hardly say that it didn't have any bad intentions.
"That's dangerous though. He might not have hurt my Pokemon now, but he was really aggressive, I could tell with his body language," Emiri replied with concern, more so for the lack of regard that the trainer seemed to show for her inability to control the fossil. Even with the darker Charizard that followed and came after it, there was still a potential threat, and that was something that she needed to be concerned with. She went on though to look at Azuran, and somehow Azuran's behavior was relevant to the lack of good behavior that hers showed, but Azuran was taken aback by the comment and growled again at being paid any attention by the red headed girl.
"I'd be embarrassed if I was flying around like that," Azuran growled, still glaring with sharp eyes at both the red headed girl and the Charizard that appeared to be with her.
"I.. But...," Emiri tried to say, unsure of how to take the girl's comment on Azuran's behavior. It was simple, she had been with Azuran for years, she worked with him and trained him and got to know him, and he had grown stronger and wiser and knew how to conduct himself around others, misbehavior like that was something that Emiri hadn't known for such a long time since she had been traveling with the same Pokemon for so long.
"I know my Aerodactyl, have you tried to learn about yours," Emiri stammered finally, unsure of what else to say to the comment, hardly able to comprehend this social situation that she was in, but she was being honest about what the girl seemed to feel about the Aerodactyl she had. If she hadn't tried to work with it at all, didn't try to get to know it and understand how it functioned, then she wasn't going be able to train it very effectively.
Within moments though, despite what she was certain the girl could tell about Emiri's own standoffish demeanor and that of her Pokemon, the girl sat down to make herself comfortable on the grass as she let out a few smaller Pokemon, to add to the Charizard, Noibat, and Lucario that were standing around, and while Emiri wasn't a mean person by any means really, she just wasn't sure how she ever felt about any one social interaction that she found herself in.
"Emiri, is it safe," came Nimbus' quiet voice aloud as he hovered closer towards Emiri on his tail, having been keeping the egg safe like Emiri had asked him to since the Aerodactyl had come around.
"I think so Nimbus, it's okay. Thank you for keeping the egg safe," Emiri replied softly as Flix and Cerian came closer towards the hub of interaction. Flix was hesitant after having watched Azuran and Charizard stand up to the other two Pokemon that had come around, moving forward with his wings tucked behind him and his head low, but Cerian padded forward on his four legs as he looked up to Emiri and then to the red headed human across the way.
"Who is that? Another human trainer," the Replisol asked with a raised eyebrow, wondering if Emiri knew the human and how it was already so easy to tell the difference between this human and Emiri, wondering if she was a trainer at all in fact.
"I don't know...," Emiri answered, looking from Cerian to the red headed girl then as she realized that through all of this, she didn't even know who this girl was or what she was doing out here.
"Who are you," Emiri asked then, trying to make just a little bit more sense of things as she watched the smaller Pokemon meander about the area.
Off on the side, the red headed girl's Bagon had wandered into a battle with a grass type Pokemon, and Flareon was the first to catch the scent of fire as he looked to see the small dragon struggling with a bit of fire that was starting to spread over the grass.
"Hey," Flareon barked, padding over towards the small flames as he used his paws and fur to stamp out the fire, looking down to the small Pokemon.
"Watch it kid, that's a good way to make a real mess," Flareon huffed as he managed to stomp out the rest of the flames, leaving black singed grass beneath him as the fire type looked down to the blue dragon.

Standing there with her few Pokemon, Emiri was uneasy about the whole social situation that had now been thrust upon her as she tried to make sense of everything that had happened, though she always took comfort in knowing that her Pokemon were there with her. Azuran had since put himself in between Charizard and the darker fire type that had come with the Aerodactyl and was moving them slowly away from the other fire type, if only to come closer to Emiri. They couldn't know what any of this meant, if this human had one aggressive Pokemon she could have another dangerous one, so they wanted to be prepared.
"I guess we should be glad you're not as impulsive as that, huh," Charizard commented with a sneer as she moved with Azuran, though she kept a close eye on the other younger Charizard.
"Only when one of us is threatened like that. I wouldn't have hesitated if it decided to throw an attack," Azuran growled, glaring again at the other human trainer as she had now chosen to sit on the ground around them, despite what could be said about their insistence otherwise.
Having given her thoughts on the situation, more so than Emiri thought she would give to defend her own Pokemon, she was met with a rather out of place explanation and some information that she certainly hadn't asked for as the other trainer started to explain more about the Aerodactyl, how she had gotten it, and the troubles and woes that came with training something like that in comparison to her other Pokemon. It wasn't as though all Pokemon were the same and would act the same around a human trainer? And certainly not even two Pokemon of the same species would act alike, and Emiri knew this very clearly with even Cerian and Kovu and how different they were. She wondered what kind of expectations this trainer had for her Pokemon, if she expected compliance and satisfaction from every Pokemon no matter the circumstances? Emiri knew that not a single one of her Pokemon would treat her and care for her the way that they did if she hadn't shown each of them the compassion and respect that they deserved, and they wouldn't risk their lives for her either if she hadn't done exactly the same. At one of the red head's comments though, Emiri had to stop and look around at her own Pokemon and wonder where she could have gotten a thought that size had anything to do with training and beginning to form a bond with one's Pokemon. Emiri could fathom that they might be the same height looking at the girl before when she had been standing, and most all of Emiri's Pokemon save for Nimbus, Flareon, Zaron, and Cerian were much much much bigger than she was by comparison and she had no trouble working with her Pokemon in order to effectively earn their trust and respect in return.
"I don't understand what size has to really do with anything... It all matters on how you treat your Aerodactyl and how you handle the things that it does," Emiri tried to say despite her confusion on the matter of why this girl thought her Pokemon wasn't listening to her. There could be a number of things that she would never know if she didn't try to figure them out, the Lucario that she had could help she assumed if it was capable of communication like Macon was with Marcellus.
"I don't get it? Your teammates are bigger than hers, but you're the same size, what is she talking about," Cerian asked in the middle of the rather awkward conversation that Emiri was having, clearly confused about what now seemed to be certain specifications on how one was capable or not to make another Pokemon listen to you and pay attention to you like Emiri and the other Pokemon.
"Just because it's big doesn't mean that you can treat it differently from your other Pokemon," Emiri tried to answer for both Cerian and the girl as she spoke, but then the girl went on with a brief introduction in giving her name, and the region that she was from. Emiri paused then, just a little flustered that the conversation was switching again, unable to come up with a much better response.
"Uh... I'm Emiri, I'm from Kanto too," she replied after a moment, but as Nimbus floated there on his tail coming closer to the conversation, he stopped and looked at the red headed girl with wide eyes as he had been mentioned then, keeping the egg behind him to keep it safe like he had been told to do.
"I get that a lot..." he spoke quietly, not liking the tension and the uneasy demeanor that Emiri was giving off in being faced with this human Kira.
Standing off to the side with the young fire starter that had just about made way for destruction, Flareon looked down to the Bagon with a raised eyebrow as it went on about how strong he must have been to take care of the flames like he had. He kind of had to stop for a moment and ponder if it was really worth the expended effort to explain that he himself was a fire type and was therefore capable of handling the element, but he decided against it as he only stood there in front of the dragon.
"How about you just don't start any more fires, how about that? Then you won't have to worry about it," Flareon returned in a much failed attempt, despite his real lack in effort, to talk to the younger Pokemon, and certainly not taking any interest in teaching it how to stomp out a few embers in the grass.
