Apollo road on the bus with his Pokemon. He was more than happy to leave Viridian behind him and head to Pewter. He didn't want to think about Anthony or where he might be. However, Pewter was another city that was a bit sour in his mouth. It was the city he had met Kira in. He also had no idea where she was and it bother him. He used to be so popular and surrounded by friends. He was that way in High School, and College, and even with the Band. He got along with almost everyone, but now he was losing his friends left and right and it hurt him to think about. So, all he could do is press on and act like nothing ever happened. As long as he didn't really mention it in front of his Pokemon he was sure they wouldn't notice like they didn't in Viridian. Once the Bus stopped, he hopped off and sprinted into the Pokecenter. Once he collected his stamp, he ran back out to the bus.
He stopped at the door way, double checking his Pokedex to see his next stop. It was Rota not Cerulean City... Apollo had never been to the Kingdom of Rota... He looked to the bus driver. "I don't suppose that you go to Rota?"Apollo questioned with a hopeful grin, but the Bus driver just looked at him and reopened the door for him. Apollo let out a sigh and went to go gather his Pokemon and made his way off the bus, and began to jog towards the old fashioned kingdom.

Apollo made the trek back to Pewter City. Again, having to slow his path from Kanto because some bus driver didn't want to make a new little quick stop. He thought it was a little dramatic for them to refuse him to drive him a little bit up the mountain range. He was lucky it was a nice day at least, and the walk back was going to be downhill. They made their way back into the city as Teddy marched up towards Apollo. "How come where's back to this place? Have we been walking in circles all day long?" Teddy questioned annoyed at the idea that they haven't actually been going anywhere. Teddy didn't exactly know the difference of the cities unless he paid attention or was told, neither of which happened. "I know buddy, it's exciting to be in a race around the world." Apollo told him with a smile. He clearly didn't know what the little cub said but just responded anyways. "No it's not we're walking arrround in circles not around the world!" He cried angrily as he stomped a little paw on the sidewalk. Clearly not having it with walking today. The Chansey stepped in as caretaker and scooped him up. "Of course we aren't walking in circles, Apollo wouldn't make you walk around in circles, would he?" The Chansey asked calmly. Teddy looked at her seriously."Yes."He told her confidently. Her calm smile never left her face but she paused for a moment to think. "Well, I wouldn't let you walk around in circles. We just have to walk back to the bus."Chansey explained softly as they arrived at the bus stop just in time and climbed on. Elfana Aroway Any thoughts of rushing to the Pokemon Center died when Elfana learned there was a museum in Pewter City. The Museum became her first stop. Most of her team was released inside the museum. She trusted the majority of them to behave themselves. Cranberry was carried. Her arms were going to hate her later but she wasn't about to pay for whatever he decided to headbutt. Being a little sore from carrying around 70 lbs of adorable idiot was worth it if it meant they could avoid damaging anything. They managed to get through the museum without ruining anything. The group stopped in the Pokemon Center next. Elfana collected her stamp and let the nurse check on the Pokemon that were with her purely to shut her up. Her hatred of the nurses remained consistent throughout the regions. Walter Teleported out before he could be examined. She returned all but Kayuki, Walter, and the Rotom living in her phone afterwards. Since Walter was so determined to avoid the Pokemon Center, Elfana decided to search for a hotel to stay in for the night. The hotel was probably more comfortable than the Pokemon Center anyway. They stayed in Pewter City overnight and just long enough to stop for breakfast early in the morning. Had Walter not insisted she probably would have forgotten. OOC:Moving north to Pewter City now, Demeter was leaving Calcifer in charge of getting the strange Ultra Beast in shape and getting to understand it’s battling capabilities. While she would have much rathered Loki be in charge of something so poignant she had to make due with what she had at the moment in having to leave the dark type in the Johto region for now. Calcifer wasn’t hopeless when it came to being left in charge of things, but she had her doubts about things getting done the way she wanted them to. While she moved into the city to visit and play nice for her next stamp, Calcifer remained in the outskirts traveling through shadows with the Xurkitree. The strange bundle of wires found itself in a battle against a spearow and a Nidoran, and while the Spearow went down easy, the Nidoran took a few hits. Calcifer wondered if this thing was going to end up being as strong as they might need it to be, but he didn’t want to say anything on the matter right now. The Haunter took her booklet for her and was able to descend into the city to find the Pokemon Center, and despite the surprise of a Haunter appearing holding one of the racing stamp booklets, the Nurse Joy there was kind of provided Zaron with the stamp all the same to get their credit for Pewter City. A huge group of people were waiting for her just behind the Nurse. They cheered the moment they saw her. She was overcome with emotion as the Nurse smiled warmly, approaching her and stamping her book which made it official. She had finally done it. She didn't know how to take it now, to be honest. She nearly broke down when she saw her parents in the crowd, waving and cheering louder than anyone else. When they met eyes, her parents rushed forward to hug her. Her Mother was in tears, telling her how proud she was.
She hadn't wanted to let Kira go out and battle Pokemon at all, and now here she was among the elite. Only when Kira broke apart from them did it really dawn on her entirely. She was done. She did not have to rush anywhere for a long time now.

First thing's first, Finch headed to the Pokemon Center. He had forgotten that particular stop while back home in Viridian, and he knew all of his Pokemon were a bit tired yet, so getting them back in top shape was a must. With everyone back in good condition, Finch took Radiance out to check out the sights in Pewter City. He'd not forgotten his intention to take her training with Fritter, but he had decided that they would have to at least check the museum's hours before they left again; it was a place he'd only been a few times as a little kid and he remembered it quite fondly. The museum had already closed for the evening, naturally, but the hours on the front doors claimed they would re-open at 9am the following day, and close again at 6pm. With that sorted out, noted mentally, and filed away for later, Finch led Radiance back down to Route 2. This time, he had the forethought to bring out Fritter before encountering any Pokemon, so he'd not have to rush to get him into a fight before someone got hit. On this side of Viridian Forest, Route 2's Pokemon were a bit different. Even as a kid, Finch hadn't gone all the way through from Viridian Forest to the other half of Route 2; that was quite far, even for a kid with seemingly limitless energy, and he'd be in big trouble if he got home too late too. The laziness was the culprit for never doing so as a teen or young adult, but he still knew the way from the field trips he'd taken in school to the Pewter Museum. Either way, it had never been a place he had time for sightseeing in, and he had to check his Pokedex to see what kind of stuff they might see around here. Oh. This was where Jigglypuff lived. Finch loved that little puffball Pokemon, it was so round, soft looking, and pink. It wasn't his favorite ever or anything, but the opportunity to catch one was pretty exciting either way. To his shock and awe, the first Pokemon that showed up and didn't rush away on some wild Pokemon business was the pink blob itself. "Miss Puff, a pleasure to meet you, I'm a huge fan.." mumbled Finch to himself as a joke. Training be damned, he wanted to catch that thing for his team. Finally, things were going Finch's way the way he wanted them to! He grinned as he pocketed Jigglypuff's ball and headed back into Pewter with Radiance right behind him. He healed up everyone there, including his newest team member, who he decided to name Debbie. She was fluffy and pink and curly and the name seemed to suit. It was getting quite late, as it had taken some time for Debbie to appear in the first place, and so the party just stayed at the Pokemon Center for the night, grabbing a tiny, sparse room with really just a dresser, lamp, bed, and a little square rug. Radiance and Jiji slept at the foot of the bed that Finch took up about half of. He wondered if the Centers would ever upgrade from Full size beds to, perhaps, Queen or King size. He'd happily pay for such a luxury while on the road, but then again, you can't complain much about free trainer lodging. {Post Info}

Around 11am, Finch groggily got out of bed, hunger overriding his desire to sleep through the entire day. He took Radiance out to wander around in search of breakfast; even if he'd wanted the free Pokemon Center breakfast, which he was a bit too snobbish to want, it ended at about 9am and he wouldn't ever get up in time for that. He found that if he sniffed the air, he could smell some food frying in the eastern side of town, and he and Radiance followed their noses to a little hole in the wall diner. In Finch's experience, this sort of place was always the best. It was one of those seat yourself places, and Finch chose a booth near a side wall with a window view, and Radiance sat next to him. He chose a breakfast sandwich on a bagel and for Radiance, he ordered a stack of pancakes, eggs over easy, and a side of sausage patties. She did seem to have quite the sweet tooth, so he knew she'd enjoy the pancakes, but he wanted to make sure Radiance was getting her protein as well. His other Pokemon would eat later, once he was more with it than now. Sipping at his breakfast black tea, he chatted a bit with Radiance, who was happy to be paid attention to. Once Finch had eaten and been slightly caffeinated, he left his payment and a decent tip on the diner table and headed out with Radiance trailing after. She had, indeed, enjoyed her breakfast. It seemed like she'd appreciated the eggs more than the sausage, but she definitely liked that too, and the pancakes, to no surprise, were a big hit. Finch had had to stop her from drinking the syrup once, but once she knew she wasn't supposed to do that she was fine again. Back out in the town, Finch figured they should go hit the museum before getting going on training and losing track of time, as he was wont to do. It was around noon, and the museum wasn't all that crowded, but there were a few single people and a small group or two checking out the exhibits when Finch walked in to buy tickets for himself and his Pokemon. To his delight, Pokemon and kids under 10 got in free, so he decided to let everyone go check it out. Four Pokemon was a pretty manageable number, and if he remembered correctly, all of the things in this museum were encased safely in glass. Finch was fine with his Pokemon all wandering off to do their own thing if they wanted, but it seemed like they wanted to stick by him, which was equally fine. Even Jiji, as independent as he usually could be, was sticking to Finch like glue in the unfamiliar place. As he visited each exhibit, reading the plaques and avoiding getting in the way of other patrons, Finch's team trailed behind him. Radiance, too small to see the descriptions of each thing, tugged on Finch's sock or sneaker if she wanted to get a good look at something up high, to which he'd lift her up by the underarms to look. Jiji curled around his shoulders and watched from up there, keeping a wary eye on any strangers that came too close. Fritter, who really should be more nervous being the weakest member of the team and being so small, bravely forged ahead when he could, though he wasn't very fast.
Finch kept an eye on all of them, but Debbie most of all, since he didn't know her at all yet and couldn't predict her behavior. She used her ability to inflate her body to float up and check on things she couldn't see from the floor, and she seemed to be quite well-behaved and mostly quiet. She was most interested in the skeletal remains on the second floor of the museum, the ancient bones capturing her attention so that Finch nearly had to grab her to get her to move on with everyone else.
Finally, they'd seen all there was to see, and Finch and company headed back out of the museum by the front door, with the front desk man chiming that he'd "See you again soon!" as they passed him.

Back to training, Finch took his team over to Route 3. Luckily, there wasn't many other trainers there at this point in the day, so Finch's team had a patch of grass all to themselves. He'd returned everyone but Radiance and Fritter to their Poke Balls, and to his surprise Fritter had gotten up on Radiance's head and was helping her scout out wild Pokemon. This would work quite well once something wanted to battle, as Fritter could just hop down and be in the battle before Radiance stepped in to finish off the foe. A few Pokemon showed up and quickly retreated, but finally a Jigglypuff stuck around long enough to battle with the Weedle and Charmander. Two fairies in one day, how lucky!

Quite a bit of bad luck sent Finch back to the Pewter City Pokemon Center again right after the Jigglypuff battle; it had knocked out half of his party, Radiance with Confusion and Fritter with a single blow. He'd had to send Debbie into battle for the first time just to keep from getting attacked himself, but she'd quickly taken care of it. She was floating up and down nearby now that they were back out in the field, keeping an eye on what she probably thought was an incompetent trainer so he didn't let his Pokemon get knocked out again. But, Finch supposed, this was just a part of being a trainer. Sometimes you would lose battles. He was just lucky he caught this.. freakishly strong Jigglypuff. He was sure Jiji would have been alright too, but he was still glad for Debbie.
He had briefly considered, while the battle was going south on him, just catching the second Jigglypuff to keep the battle from going too south, but it seemed a waste to catch another one when the one on his team was already good. Maybe seeing two fairies in one day was actually bad luck after all. Who can say?

After a while of unsuccessfully finding more wild Pokemon to fight, Finch was getting impatient and a little cranky and figured he might be getting hungry again. The team headed back into Pewter to grab a meal, and while in town Finch stopped by a supply shop, grabbing some Wise Glasses for Radiance to raise the power of her Special moves. He knew she only had the one Special attack right now, but the boost might just make the difference for the next fight, who knows? He couldn't afford items for the entire party, but Radiance was grateful enough to make Finch smile. They eventually headed back out, all full of soup and ready to keep training. More training commenced, with Radiance, Jiji, and Fritter getting into battle after battle and Debbie supervising nearby, interfering when someone needed help. Of course, Finch was there too, but what was he supposed to do, run in and sock a Pokemon in the face? That's just not how this worked. A wild Rattata attacked, and Finch kept up on that switch training with Fritter, keeping him from getting knocked out to the best of his ability. Wild Rattata level 9 appeared!

The following day, after stretching and wiggling out all the sleeping in a tiny bed all night woes, Finch decided it was time for another short break from training. And by that, he meant spending almost the entire day doing literally anything else but the tedious running through grass and waiting. Out in town, Finch was admiring the front window of a little boutique, eyeing some of the dresses for sale and wondering if he might be able to afford it if he scrimped on his own meals for a week or so, when the shop door opened and a man stepped outside. "Er.. Hi, are you a trainer?" the man asked, then saw that Finch was accompanied by a Charmander and immediately regretted asking. Finch nodded, giving him a smile. "Why, yes, I am~ Did you need something?" "Well, y'see... I'm the tailor here, and the fabric I was usin' isn't workin' out for this particular piece. If you could bring me any Bug-type Pokemon, I'd gladly pay good money fer the use of 'em for a day or so.." Finch's eyes lit up. "As a matter of fact..." Radiance was returned to her Poke Ball just in case as they entered the shop, just to keep from any accidental fire incidents with the racks of clothes. Each piece seemed to be unique and gorgeous, even the things Finch wouldn't wear himself, and he kept finding himself stopping to admire this or that dress, top, or jacket. The stitching was absolutely flawless and the fabric and color choices were amazing. Finch said as much, making the tailor blush. "Er.. What's your name? I'm John and I'm real glad t' meet you." "Finch. Charmed~ These pieces... They're beautiful. How long have you been sewing?" John flushed, smiling shyly. The expression was funny on such a big dude. "Most of m'life. They reached the back of the shop and John led the way behind the counter, closing the little half-door behind them. Finch approached the sewing machine and let Fritter crawl down his arm to the counter to wait for further instruction.
"I know you just need Fritter here, but may I stay and help too? I don't have much experience sewing, but I do know my fashion." He gave a slight twirl as he said so, to demonstrate. John laughed and agreed.
"So little.. Fritter, was it? I just need you to use your silk to make a particular pattern." Fritter tilted his tiny head, and John showed him a quick sketch on paper of what he meant to create. It was a lattice-like pattern with flowers placed evenly throughout, and it looked quite complex, making Fritter look a bit nervous. "Don't worry, we'll practice together," said Finch.

Hours later, with plenty of silk scraps scattered about, Fritter finally had the pattern right. It took quite a lot of effort to get there, but his rendition was even better than John could have hoped, and he said as much out loud, causing Fritter's little mustard colored face to flush pink. "Weedle wee.." he said bashfully, not making eye contact.
While Fritter had been working with John on a design in silk, Finch had been sitting at the sewing machine, trying to get the hang of stitching in a straight line on scrap fabrics. He could almost do a perfect circle, but it was hard to enclose it without making it look wonky and double up. Good thing he wasn't going to be doing any quilting, he thought as he stared at the imperfectly stitched shape. He'd ask John for help, but he knew that's not what they were here for today, and resolved to come back another day to ask for help learning more about sewing.

Once the silky fabric was complete, John got to work on it, dipping it artfully in dyes and making it into a gorgeous blue gradient, then politely booted Finch out of his sewing machine seat and got to work stitching it into the piece he was finishing. It was a dress, all deep blues and beautiful tiers and all fluffed out with a petticoat beneath; once he was all done, John propped the dress up on a mannequin and made his way to the window to put it on display, removing the previous mannequin and heading back to where Finch and Fritter waited. Finch couldn't hold out any longer; "Wait," he said as John passed by him with the dress from the window. John paused to listen. "So.. I definitely don't have enough money to cover that dress there, but I could-" Before Finch could finish the thought, John was wrapping the window dress up in a fancy boutique box and handing it over to Finch with a pleased grin. Finch blinked away his confusion and replaced it with a grateful expression. "Oh gosh, are you sure? I'm not one to refuse a gift, of course, but-" "Listen; you really helped me out of a tight spot. That new window display dress was just not gonna work with what I had, and Fritter there did an amazing job with patterning his silk. The moment Finch stepped out of the shop and back into the street, waving his goodbyes to John the tailor, Fritter began to glow white. Finch had never seen this in person, but realized that his Weedle must be evolving. Once the glow cleared up, a Kakuna stood on the ground before Finch, earning a huge smile. "You did it, Fritter! You're a Kakuna!" Fritter seemed more sedentary this way, it was likely harder to move when you were a chrysalis, but he still seemed happy, Finch thought. And it seemed like he owed Professor Oak a visit too. Tomorrow, he'd go do that, submit his report, and keep going about how he was doing. Fritter evolved into a Kakuna!

Finally back in Pewter City after taking a quick trip all the way back to Pallet to drop off his report, which he found out he could have emailed while he was there to his dismay, Finch collapsed into his tiny Pokemon Center bed and let out a long, low, "uuuuuuuughhhhhhhhhhh." He wasn't going to get back up for at least two days, except to order food, he thought. True to form, Finch emerged from the Pokemon Center in Pewter about a day and a half later, finally rested up again from his long walk to and from Pallet Town. He wanted to meet his new party member, a Fuecoco he'd gotten from Professor Oak and decided to name Salsa. He took both Salsa and Radiance to a diner to eat some early dinner and to get to know Salsa and her tastes; he quite liked the fiery crocodile Pokemon. It was nice to get another Fire-type for his team too, but he realized that he may need to work on his team a bit more when he checked for his next task for Professor Oak. He would need to get a gym badge, and it was likely going to be quite difficult to get Pewter's badge with his current team, especially considering he would have to use a wild-caught Pokemon like Fritter or Debbie to help him win it for it to count. He thought his team might need a bit more training anyway, and so he went back to bed after dinner to think about it more. {Post Info}7/5 Wild Pokemon

It was time to get back to training, Finch decided as he got up from bed. He finally felt better after his quick run all the way down to Pallet and back to see the Professor and was raring to keep working on his research journey. Next was getting a Gym badge while utilizing a wild-caught Pokemon. After a small amount of research, until he'd grown frustrated with the archaic Pokedex's slow responses and annoying menu navigation and given up, he found out that Pewter's Gym was run by a man named Brock who trained Rock-type Pokemon. Rock moves would be strong against Radiance, but he also found out she knew a move called Metal Claw that was Steel-type and might be effective in the Gym challenge. Alongside Radiance, he thought that Debbie might have a good shot at sticking out a fight with Rock Pokemon; she wouldn't be super strong against them, but they wouldn't be super strong against her either. Radiance was fast, too, so might be able to get in a few blows before going down, if that's how it would be. At any rate, Finch, Radiance and Debbie went to Route 3 to take a look around for wild Pokemon to train against and quickly found an Ekans, who hissed menacingly at Radiance. She growled back and launched into battle. Wild Ekans level 12 appeared!

A quick run back to town got Radiance back in tip top shape after getting bit up by the wild Ekans, and soon she was ready to go back out there. An older woman waved Finch over as he headed back to Route 3, so he paused to go see what she wanted. She was watering some flowers in a box outside of what was presumably her home by the edge of the city with a can shaped like a Poliwag. "Hello young lady! I wanted to ask you for a favor!" Not wanting to have to explain to an old lady that he was, in fact, a very pretty boy, Finch put on his best femme voice and asked her what she needed. It turned out that the woman wanted to give flowers to her nephew across town, but she was having trouble with her knees today and couldn't quite make it. She wondered if Finch could go in her stead? Finch happily agreed, and Radiance was returned to prevent accidentally charring the flowers. He figured Debbie would be good company for this one and brought her out instead, and the pink puff grabbed the bouquet with a happy, "Puff!" On a whim, Finch let Fritter out too, thinking the bug might be good ground support for Debbie if she dropped the flowers. At least he could help pick them up. Poke Job Tier 2, Flower Delivery
