 The entire central part of Poni island is known as Vast Poni Canyon. The rock formations here are unlike anything in the world with the way the arches and caverns have formed over the generations. No one has ever been quite certain if the canyon is entirely natural, or if it was formed by the Pokemon that live here, but another striking feature of this place aside from its sheer size and complexity is the amazing colors that make up the rock formations. So many different kinds of sediment can be found here that many different browns and beige can be found in the rocks, some yellows and oranges, there's even points where swirls and lines of pink can be found within the walls, which truly makes for an entirely unique environment all its own. Despite its beauty, many will caution travelers and trainers against visiting the canyon because of how treacherous the landscape is. The archways used as bridges are entirely unstable and could collapse at any moment, the caverns are liable to shift and drop boulders at just the smallest intrusion, and the Pokemon here are among the fiercest and strongest that has been noted in the region. Only the strongest trainers could survive in such a trivial environment, only if they don't get lost in the enormous expanse of the canyon itself.  {Vast Poni Canyon Gym (Click)}Hapu is the official Gym Leader of the Vast Poni Canyon, and the Island Kahuna of Poni Island. Hapu specializes in ground type Pokemon. She has one of the few humans alive to communicate with the illusive Tapu Fini, and was been selected by the guardian deity to be the Kahuna of Poni Island. Which the Kahuna position had been vacant for a few years after the previous Kahuna, Hapu's Grandfather, passed away. Tapu Fini took years of watching and studying before she selected Hapu. Tapu Fini was very picky and selective about who she choose, apparently even sought the opinions of the other three Island Kahunas before selecting Hapu. Some on Poni Island believed that the Kahuna might have been Mina, despite her opening admitting to her not wanting it. However, it would seem it was no contest. Hapu spends most of her time caring for her Grandparents farm, both of which who have passed, and she does so happily. She has been seen taking breaks in Exeggutor Island for breaks and some times short vacations. Finding it relaxing to take a break from everything. She's even been seen painting with Mina, and taking her riding on Mudsales. Hapu's gym sits in the Vast Poni Canyon, that sits behind the Ancient Poni Path where she lives in the ranch. The actual directions to her Gym is very vague, most just saying it's just inside the Canyons. Some trainers struggle with actually finding her gym, which leads them to believe that finding it is her trial. Some believing it to be hidden deep within the Canyons, leaving some lost for hours. However, those who follow the path past the canyon's cave entrance, the wide crevasse will lead down a long path down to a rather large opening and clearing within the Canyon. It seems to be a dead end, but that's exactly where a challenger would need to be. The open area is completely surrounded by the tall walls of the canyon, often leaving the area in the shade. Hapu, like most of the other Trial Captains turned Gym Leaders, she didn't want anything to be built or changed in the land. Leaving it an open area. We are in danger surely!" The Lopunny panicked, holding both her ears in her arms as a safety blanket, as her ribbons and bows fluttered all around her. "You heard Finn before we left. He's coming too, and I'm sure plenty others will be coming too." Jessica spoke, being the voice of reason, or at least trying, her wavy crimson hair blowing wildly behind her. " We've been fine this whole time. Worse case scenario Amma warps us out if it's too much." Themyscira commented. After hearing this, Ridley did ease up a bit, but she was clearly angry with them still. " Don' worry yourself, your comin' apart at da seems. She's right, I won' let anyone get hurt. I only have so many tokens, so lets 'ope not." Amma spoke, trying to easy Ridley even more. Amma was clearly unhappy with their situation, the old ragged fabric around her wiped violently in the wind, rather then bellowing like Ridley's dress. Amma would have wanted to have stayed out of the way and stayed on the beach and helped clean up. Stay safe, but now they were here, she was going to help pitch in. " Fine. But no more teleporting without our say. Who even are you?" Ridley questioned. It had been a good one, she hadn't gotten to meet the Gothitelle, or Lopunny. " I'm not even going to ask. Let just hope everyone shows up before this 'monster' does." She commented as she turned around to look to see where anyone else was going to arrive. Nara's electricity went unmatched, it was a nasty thing to get struck by if you were caught in the line of fire. The only thing that made matters worse for the bats was the combination of her electricity and Wattson's speed as the Lucario moved in and out of each lightning strike to hit the bats hard and fast. The poison types dispersed, leaving Rhienne and her Pokemon be, and that left her with Skylar too whom had managed against the Pinsir that had cornered him and his Pokemon. Rhienne felt like this was all beginning to become a bit much for her, she was worrying for Skylar and bringing him here, she felt like she should have left him in Hau'Oli City. He was safer there, he just wasn't ready to face things like this, and after her apology to him she actually did consider just sending him back to Johto where they'd met so he wouldn't have to be put in harms way through this any more, but before she could say much on the matter, the Aether Foundation agents that they had come across were now beginning to speak now that the threat of the swarms of Pokemon had dispelled. It was easy for them to catch the attention of every trainer that was there with the way they spoke about some monster that they had encountered, the devastating power that it had, and that they should consider turning back while they still had the chance to make that decision. There were murmurs among the trainers as they had been given their warning, and Rhienne was starting to consider turning back now that she had the opportunity as well, but Skylar came up beside her after making sure he was alright from the Pinsir attack, and had taken her words to heart. He was willing to put himself in the line of fire, he didn't want to run away any more or hide from what was happening, and he didn't want her to get hurt from not being there to help...
"I never wanted to force you into something like this, but that does mean a lot to me, thank you...," Rhienne said after a moment, touched really that Skylar took her and her well being into that much consideration, and she felt a bit more confident about what it was they were setting out to do.
"It looks like some of the trainers are already moving into the canyons, do we follow," Wattson inquired as he stood up straighter beside Rhienne.
"I think so. Skylar and I are both willing, so we're going to go do what we can," Rhienne returned, and with that Absolem took care in moving both her and Skylar and their Pokemon to the canyons, where there was a sudden drastic shift in the environment. It was quiet, and the landscape was flat and spanned for miles... And even through her scuffed and scratched glasses, there was nothing that she could see right off the bat.
"Skylar, just... If it gets to be too much, you take your Pokemon and you go, okay? I don't want you to get hurt because I brought you here, you need to take care of your Pokemon and yourself too," Rhienne spoke then as they stood atop the canyon ridge where other trainers were beginning to gather from the plains they had been in before.
"We don't know what's out here, so just be careful, and be cautious and alert... Those Aether Foundation agents weren't prepared, so we have to try to be as vigilant as we can," she commented, not wanting to end up like the Aether Foundation in the slightest, especially since she was already struggling. |

OOC:With Calcifer's help as Demeter had turned to move from the plains and into the canyon grounds in the north, the ghost moved them in his shadows to expedite the process as Demeter left the fields and fallen trees behind. Alec had already left from the plains to move on as well to contribute, and Demeter was thankful there would be strength in numbers as it seemed that they were not the only trainers that made the 'courageous' decision to move forward. She wasn't phased in the slightest by the Aether Foundations warnings, their caution and heed to what they had faced. It could be that she was running off of adrenaline, or that she was growing impatient at how much time this all was taking in order to situate, but she was ready to get it all done and over with. She probably felt this way because their incompetence with the whole situation, the Diimensional Research lab included, reminded her of her own fumbling organization and the ruin that they had brought upon themselves in recent times. She didn't handle incompetence, insolence, and lack of accountability well, and this whole situation had been a complete mess from square one. The only good thing that she could credit either the Aether Foundation or the Dimensional Research lab with was that the containment Pokeballs that they had designed actually worked to the point that they were able to keep themselves from getting killed. Other than that, they were just as ill prepared and unorganized as her own organization that had let the beast Lugia escape after their greatest triumph. It made her angry and frustrated to say the least, and she felt like she had to pick up the pieces in order to push forward, and that was exactly what she felt like here in this inter dimensional crisis. If no one else was going to be able to do it right, she had to step up to the plate, but she would also be lying if she said she wasn't going to look out for some kind of reward for saving the entire Alola Region, or the state of the world as they knew it either.
Within moments, grass no longer crunched beneath Demeter's feet and tree leaves didn't rustle in the wind, instead she had to squint her eyes just a little bit under the sunglasses that she wore at the drastic change in landscape. The sun was bright, and with the drastic color change that the bright reds and browns of the canyon walls gave in contrast to the plains, she did have to take a moment to adjust. It was quiet, and the wind picked up a little bit at the openness of it all as Demeter looked to find Alec not too far off having made it to the canyons all the same.
"So now what? Are we just supposed to wait here," Calcifer spoke outloud, looking around at the flat expanse of the canyon top they stood on, not seeing anything in the slightest.
"What do you think? Should we go looking, or wait it out up here? We have a pretty good view it looks like, I don't think anything could get the drop on us out here," Demeter asked as she moved closer towards Alec, not looking to converse with the other trainers just yet, but she wanted to know at least his opinion on the matter and how they might proceed to finding the 'monster' that was supposed to be out there. He wasn't going to leave Ridley out there alone to fend for herself, any one of them could make a difference in the midst of a battle, and he wanted to make sure that all of them had all the help that they could get. The dragon made easy work of moving through the air, he didn't need to gain a whole lot of altitude to cover the ground that he needed to, and within a few moments the pirate came up on the orange and mahogany colored expanse of rock that spanned out around the rest of Poni Island. In his travels, Finn had been to many places and seen many things, but he had never traveled very far inland to any one place he had been to. He had seen some of the most spectacular port cities in the world, trade routes and exotic islands, but it was all as far as his crew and captain would go before they had to set off again. Flying over head, and seeing such a marvel for the first time such as the canyons that took over the landscape, Finn actually did stop for a moment to really admire the work of nature that he was getting a chance to see. It really was quite beautiful, and he felt that it was a shame that he was there under such dire circumstances without much time to take it all in, but he couldn't waste much more time knowing that anything could happen at any moment.
It was easy to spot anything out of place on such a flat landscape, and while a handful of trainers began to show up on the rocky scape, Finn found Ridley from the air and motioned Scarux towards the ground. The green dragon angled his wings and came in for his descent, landing on the ground just off to the side from Ridley and her large group of Pokemon. It seemed that the Gothitelle had been the ring leader of Ridley's movement from the plains, the loud boisterous psychic going on still about one thing or another, but Finn stopped all together as he caught sight of something among Ridley's Pokemon, and he meant that entirely, that it was some thing.
"Ridley, Ridley come away from there," Finn glowered, his eyes growing sharp as he moved towards her with intent, and already in one hand he held a cutlass at the ready as his blood ran cold at the sight of a Sirene standing just beside her among her Pokemon. He wasn't sure what it was doing here in this place, far from the sea to the south, but it wasn't going to need to concern itself with the idea much longer as he moved forward.
"Step away from that vile creature. I'm not sure what it's doing here, but I can assure you that it won't be a concern much longer," he threatened, trying to move closer to her to get her out of the way of the creature that stood before them as he regarded it, wanting her and her Pokemon out of the way before it had any chance to mame or attack. He didn't want any harm to come to Ridley or her Pokemon, not by an Ultra Beast, and certainly not by something as wretched as the lowly creature that stood there on the canyon surface. gravity_resistant White Prince Of Wonderland Skylar SorenThe path was made clear as the trainers had moved forward and come to the edge where the once lush plains met the canyons that sprawled out through the entire center and northern part of the island. The Aether Foundation agents who had been so brutally attacked had given their warnings, but the would be victims didn’t make much more effort in trying to spare any more lives to the fate that had befallen them. Instead they tried to gather what strength and wits they could among each other in order to make it off of Poni Island, whether it be by some last ditch effort, or one of them had actually managed to get in contact with an outside source, but there was no telling if the enraged and vengeful Pokemon would grant them safe passage through the plains in order to get to any destination. One thing was for certain however, they were not going to test their mettle against the monster they had encountered, it was clear that quite a few of them were frightened, tormented even, which set the tone for the potential catastrophic power this threat had. Over the threshold where green grass turned into dusty rock, and trees and shrubbery were replaced with boulders and archways that only the most pure forces of nature could have made, the Poni Canyon range spread for miles and miles, without end at the horizon. Even the air already began to change from the salty sprays of sea air to a more arid and cool breeze, leaving little room for vegetation to grow among the tall spires and gaping threads of rocky walls that moved through the landscape. Now the surface was made up of thick clay and brilliant shades of brown, orange and red sediment that mixed and cascaded over each crevice, and it was surely a beautiful and peaceful place to be, were it not for the disturbance that fell over this protected place. Despite the caves that channeled through the canyon, the sounds that carry through the crevices and deep trenches, it was oddly quiet at the top of the canyons. The wind that blew over the flat surface of the top carried no sound, no wild cries of Pokemon in the area, instead it was silent, save for the trainers that had gathered at the southern edge of the canyon grounds. Over all, it seemed as though the landscape hadn't been disturbed at all, it was rocky and had all the unique shapes and structures that nature intended, but they were not alone after all. It was faint at first, and could be easily dismissed or looked over as just a distant noise, but a low rumble started to fill the air with the only noise that seemed to carry above the wind that blew over the canyons. The top of the canyons were almost completely flat until there was a drop off into the trenches below, one could see for miles and there didn't seem to be anything around, but the rumble continued to grow until it did in fact become a very audible sound. Within seconds it grew louder, and louder, beginning to shake the very rocks that laid on the ground, and it was beginning to feel like it was coming from the ground itself, that was until a giant plume of smoke came up from one of the trenches in the distance, followed by a booming shutter. The smoke plumed and filled the air immediately in giant clouds that came up from the distance, and from it came a very large figure that rose slowly from the ground. The heat from the smoke and fire that could be seen radiated from the very far distance between the anomaly and the trainers, telling just how much power and force this thing really had. It was an enormous figure that rose through the air, two steady streams of smoke emitting fire from what could only be described as rocket boosters on either side. It was green in color, with a very large body shape and two detached arms, all of which came to a very sharp point at the tip that was moving further into the air. Were it not for the lack of metallic gleam or the over all strange shape, the figure could have been construed as a rocket, that would be until it emitted a terrible resonating screech that rang through the air, much like two metal beams being struck with each other and scratching along a metal surface. It was a creature, it was alive, and it saw the anomalies that appeared on the canyon top as the figure began to move in the air, almost as though it were going to start heading straight for them. The ground had never stopped rumbling, the sheer force of the rocket thrusts that it took to propel the figure into the air were devastatingly powerful, but the shaking ground only seemed to get more and more prominent, more and more violent. There was a final crack in the earth in the distance on the other side from the tower of smoke, a shower of dust and rubble that flew through the air, and an entire boulder that had once been standing in the distance was consumed as a distorted, monstrous bellow rang through the air. The dust cleared, and from it emerged an enormous black figure, two long protruding sets of snapping pincers, and another guttural roar that carried over the canyons. It was a monstrous creature, covered in spikes and claws and deadly fangs, but what was the most menacing about this entirely foreboding creature was the giant gaping maw that made up its entire torso. It was seething and fuming, even from the far distance it was easy to tell that the creature was enraged and feral, and it bellowed again as an entire rock pillar beside it was snapped in half by the pincers on either side of its body and consumed entirely, leaving not a single trace that the formation had even been there at all.

gravity_resistant Elemental Paradisity Skylar Soren Leader MinaAs the towering Ultra Beast rocketed higher and higher, slowly climbing over the trainers as the loud booming blast off still filled the air. It would seem that nothing they could do to stop this massive beasts. Even if attacks flew, the Beast was far to high or too strong. It almost seemed hopeless, as this Beast might have a plan to even bomb the trainers but it would appear to be unstoppable. Unless... There was a small glint in the skies. In the distance there was a small white dot racing across the sky. As it got closer and closer, flying at an alarming speed. Once it got close, it was clear that it was a Togekiss, with a blonde woman riding it. The Togekiss was rushing the massive beast, and made no clear appearance to stop any time. The Beast didn't see it coming. With a flash of light, followed by a loud explosion sound. The Togekiss and woman had rammed the Beast, and Hard. The Rocket like Ultra Beast began to spiral size was as it could not hold it's coarse any longer and began to rocket sideways, doing flips as it whirled the wrong direction in a large cloud of smoke. The Togekiss continued to soar in it's same direction, and began to make a large curve and made way downwards and towards the trainers. The Togekiss swooped down, right in front of the groups of trainers as the blonde woman jumped from the flying Pokemon, as it got near the ground, and she landed on a bent knee, clearly a Super Hero landing. She stood back up, having missed everything that had happened with the other Ultra Beast, and gave them a calm smile. "Hey, What's up everyone?" She asked calmly, as if she didn't just punch an Ultra beast in the face. Her Togekiss landed behind her and gave them a cheerful smile and greeting.Leader HapuWhile the Beast was flying in over head, and the other coming from under ground. It would seem that the trainers might have been cornered. The massive Hungry Ultra Beast came from the ground. It might eat anything they threw at the beast, being the bottomless pit that it was. But soon the ground began to shutter, causing the area all the trainers and Pokemon were standing on to shift and quake. One might think it would be another monsterous beast coming from the ground. The earth beneath their feet began to shift suddenly in one direction, lurching forward as rocks began to jet out from the ground towards the black beast, getting larger and stronger as it traveled at the Beast. A short girl with long black pigtails emerged from the ground, as it opened up for her and her Hippowdon, who was focused on the traveling earth. The ground circled the Beast, as rocks jetted out from the ground, pinning the Ultra Beast in place. The earth then opened up and swallowed the massive Beast, as the jetting rocks forced it downwards into the ground. Forcibly holding it there. Hapu let out a sigh of relief as she and her hippo turned to the trainers. "Wow. That was somethin'" She exclaimed moving towards the trainers, as Mina did as well. "I hope everyone is alright. No one got hurt?" Hapu asked looking around at the trainers and Pokemon, inspecting them all with her eyes to make sure they were okay before she continued. "I'm Hapu, the Island Kahuna of Poni Island. She's Mina, the Trail Caption on our Island." She explained with a friendly tone. "And now Gym Leaders. Starting today actually..." Mina added, trailing off as she spoke, looking around at the Canyon. "Or was a Gym Leader... Those Beasts destroyed my Gym just as the Aether Foundation got here to evacuate us. At least the Seafolk Village set to sea safely before we got blasted..." Mina said ruefully, with a grimace. She looked to Hapu, then back to all the trainers, as the Kahuna stepped in before the fellow leader could speak poorly of the Foundation. "They did everything they could. They were ill-informed, and these beasts hit everyone hard. We were following the large beast under ground until we surfaced here." Hapu spoke, trying to speak kindly about the Foundation that notified her own family as well as the Seafolk Village, giving them time enough to get out unharmed. At this, the dirty blonde's expression softened. No one had been killed, or seriously injured, while Aether took the beating. Mina couldn't deny the respect they deserved there. "I'm just happy they were neutralized, and no one else had to fight them." Hapu commented with a thankful tone to her voice. "Yeah... Like Aether told me what you guys have been doing and accomplishing for everyone without being asked. I can honestly say that we, and all of Alola are so thankful for everything you've done." Mina commented her calm and friendly voice having returned. "If you want, you guys can head back to where the Seafolk Village is, the Pokecenter is still there. You all can wait there, while Aether comes to pick up their wounded and capture these Beasts. We don't want you to have to do any more work then you already have. You've all done so much." Hapu thanked them all. It was right, the trainers had kept Alola safe from these beasts, and neither Leader wanted them to have to do anything more then they already did.

She was unhappy with her surroundings, and she was more then happy to let everyone know. Soon the others began to arrive, The girl that was launched in Malie, and then Vanessa. After Finn flew in, she couldn't help put notice a few missing faces. Which she was regretful. She wanted to be one of them. Finn landed near by, as things still seemed to be relatively quiet. No signs of the beast. Ridley watched as the Pirate moved towards her and Thomas, and his expression was different. He was moving with a purpose with his sword out. He was looking past her, Delphine, Amma, and Esme. Both Ridley and Delphine swiftly whirled around to see what it was. Both fearing some kind of beast behind them. Jessica and Themyscira turned around as well, only to see the empty canyon behind them. He told her to come towards him. There was a silence among her Pokemon as she looked from Pokemon to Pokemon, none of which seemed to know what he was talking about. " What are you...?" She began to ask, but then he began about a vile creature, and that he would take care of it. Ridley glanced to Thomas for a moment. It wasn't like Finn to act like this, and she was confused. " He's talkin' about her." Amma clarified, and waved her arm towards Themyscira. The Sirene, looked to the ghost, and then back to Finn her deep blue eyes now wide as she took a step back. Never had she actually thought he was a real pirate... Amma had never liked or trusted the Sirene, began to levitate sideways. However, Ridley and Delphine both stepped in front of Finn. " What are you talking about? You're not taking care of anything." Ridley defended, looking at him angrily, eyeing over his demeanor and sword. " Yeah! and she's not vile." Delphine chimed in, though sounding more nervous then defensive like Ridley. " What's gotten in to you?" She asked him, having never really seen him act like this, not sense the Ball. "Delphine's right. She's helped us numerous of times. In Darkrai's Realm, and in a few other dangerous situations." Jessica spoke from behind Ridley and Delphine. Jessica wasn't standing between Finn and the Sirene, and she didn't exactly like being impersonated earlier, but she wasn't going to let any of her fellow Pokemon harmed. Meanwhile... As Ridley and the other Pokemon spoke, and defensed her, Themyscira knew she needed an out. She couldn't get herself close enough to Ridley to return herself without getting within reach of the Pirate. She wasn't going to be able to run, so she decided to take the appearance of someone who Ridley returned just before the teleportation. Themyscira began to slink off, and make it seem like she began to flee, but once she slipped behind someone, she took on the appearance of Morticia. She began to gracefully slip back into view. Which upon first glance, Ridley knew exactly who she was. As they spoke, and tensions rising, Ridley hadn't been paying attention to the slow rumbling she heard in the distance. " I don't know what you're planning to do with that, but you're not going to-" Ridley began, setting the record straight, but she stopped herself as the sound of rumbling grew loud enough to catch her attention. It took her a second to realize where it was coming from, but soon after it blasted louder as the ground began to rumble. She looked back to Finn and Thomas wide eyed, but then turned toward the distance, as her Pokemon turned as well. Suddenly a ball of smoke erupted from the earth as the grounds began to shutter. If she didn't know any better it would have seemed like it was a rocket taking off. She was right, it seemed. A green thing began to blast into the air, powered by two boosters, but it wasn't a rocket... It looked to alien. It let out a massive screech which the sound of metal almost made her ears hurt. This was the Ultra Beast. Once the though struck her, she sucked her breath in as she stepped away from the beast as it flew high above them, but towards them. Ridley assumed the shaking ground was because of the clear monster above them, but once there was a definite crack, Ridley flinched, as she turned to face the source of the crack. A boulder began to shutter and disappear all together as a large black thing came into view. It let out roars and it destroyed another rock formation. Now, Ridley was scared. They both were massive, more so then the large 'assembly' and now they had to battle these things. This was exactly why she didn't want to be here. They were about to get bombed by this rocket, and the remains eaten by this big mouthed thing. She looked straight to Amma, who both made eye contact. Amma knew what it meant. Ridley wanted out. Before she moved, Delphine spoke. " Whats what?" She called out, pointing to the white dot headed to the green rocket. The white dot formed a Togekiss as it side swiped the beast sending it spiraling in another direction, while the earth opened up, and consumed the beast. The girl landed rather dramatically, issuing a very casual greeting, while another short one appeared. Everything happened to fast, Ridley didn't know what to think. She was getting ready to battle for her life, and now she doesn't have to. She was able to recognize who they were. They were in the alolan pamphlet they were given on the plan. They were gym leaders. They explained everything that happened. the island had been destroyed and they were giving their thanks. The short squaty one told them to wait at the pokecenter for them to do the work. " Well look at that. We're off the hook." Ridley spoke happily. " They'll do the work for us. He didn't draw a blade for nothing, he always had a purpose or a reason for taking such action, but as soon as Finn spoke about a vile creature, he knew exactly what was the matter. The pirate only saved such slanders for a specific threat, one they had come across more than a handful of times out on the open ocean, and the dragon was just as shocked and surprised to see the figure of a Sirene standing among them on the canyon top. Finn was closing in on Ridley's group of Pokemon, and his green eyes were sharp as he kept a steady and stern glare on the despicable thing that stood there with them. Ridley didn't seem to know what he was talking about, which was fair to say since the lowly species were only found in the deepest darkest depths of the ocean, but the ghost Amma knew exactly what it was that he had his sights on.
"Aye, but there's no formality for a foul thing such as that," Finn sneered in agreement with Amma, and he would have thanked the ghost for stepping aside to let him at the Sirene were it not for both Ridley and Delphine that instead moved in his way, and what's more, they moved to defend the creature. Finn still clutched his cutlass in hand as Scarux came to the side of his captain, and he too bore his fangs in his raised jowls as he found the Sirene among them, knowing just what the thing was capable of just the same as Finn did.
"Don't be fooled. That is a deplorable, wicked and debased creature that has not a single shred of morale or selflessness. It will do whatever it feels necessary to subdue its victims, it will only be a matter of time before it makes its strike," Finn spat in an explanation, hardly able to accept any of Ridley's defenses. For all he knew, the creature had made some ploy or ruse to make Ridley let her guard down, infiltrating until it could get close enough to strike, and he was not about to let that go unforgiven and unpunished. Ridley made another attempt at fending him off for whatever convoluted reason that he was sure was the work of the Sirene taking a hold of her, and just as the creature made its move to take on another appearance, something that Finn hadn't quite yet seen, it was then that the threat of the Sirene didn't seem to matter much as the lot of them all stopped at the rumbling in the ground. Scarux snuffed as the ground beneath his claws began to shift, rocks were starting to slowly slide along the brown surface of the canyon top, and Finn looked with Thomas and Ridley as to what could be the cause of such a disturbance. He made no motion to relinquish his cutlass, but the rumbling only got louder, the quaking more violent, and in the distance there was almost an erruption of sorts as a giant plume of smoke rose into the air, already a few stories high within just a few seconds. There was a blast of energy, and there was a palpable heat that rushed over the surrounding area as something began to rise into the air, and through the smoke a very clear shape and figure could be seen. It was unlike anything Finn had ever seen before, the distance in which they stood was foreboding enough since the figure was already so big, and despite the green and light colors that he could make out from it, the earsplitting metallic screech that it gave out depleated any hope of being able to discern exactly what kind of threat they were facing. It was as though it were both machine and living, and it was starting to come straight for them in the air. The ground continued to shake beneath their feet, no doubt from the on coming threat of the thrusters that charged at them, and when Finn had had half a mind to grab Ridley and hope they could get out fast enough on Scarux before impact, there was a thundering crack in the very earth in the distance on the other side as a spray of dirt and dust came up in a cloud just like the smoke, and from it emerged something what could very well be described as a monster as an entire boulder disappeared in its wake.
"As I am a soul, I have never seen anything like this," Finn breathed then, thinking this to be the end all be all for their lives in this fight against the interdimensional threats. Both creatures were enormous, and were so entirely out of their element it seemed that they were angry and feral at any little thing, there was no telling if they would make it out of this with their lives.
"Phineas, you need to get out of there! I'm coming to get you," came Bade's voice, and at the feeling of the wyvern there with him, Finn was comforted and felt as though they might at least stand a chance of escape. Just as she was getting ready to move from the air and the cloud cover she had been following, revealing herself entirely, there was a rush of something through the air that even caught her attention, and Scarux and Finn both watched as something rushed at the jet propelled creature in the air. A powerful blow befell the beast as it was knocked through the air, and there was a spectactular crash and a shower of dirt and rubble at it making impact with the ground. On the other side, where the monster had started to make its way over the top of the canyon, there was another earth shattering crack that rang through the air, and the monster fell with an enraged roar into the depths, but was silenced when the very earth moved to cover it up entirely. They were saved, and at the hands of two young women that had come to find them, one landing on the ground in a very proficient fashion with her Togekiss, and the other moving towards them with a Hippowdown. Finn did recognize the two of them, and was actually quite pleased to find himself in company with them, they were some of the hight ranked Alolan Trial captains that the islands had ever known. He listened intently, and found that the island had been under seige well before they had arrived after Malie city, but it wasn't until Mina had made mention of the Seafolk Village that Finn hadn't realized just how devastating the attack could have been. He knew many of the sea faring residents of the Seafolk Village, and was glad to know that they were alright and had set to the sea before anything tragic could have happened, it seemed that the Aether Foundation had at least been able to save collateral damage in the wake of this threat.
"It is an honor to meet the both of you first hand, thank you for saving our lives," Finn spoke then, after they had given their thanks for what it was the group of trainers had set out to do for the Alola Region. Ridley was ready to leave and make haste towards the Pokemon Center, and he could understand that, but he wasn't ready to leave just yet.
"Ridley, we do owe them thanks, don't be so eager to leave them alone. We've all been happy to help, really. The devastation that could have been caused would have been a terrible fate for the islands here, but we're greatful for what you've done all the same," he continued, trying to get Ridley to at least show a little decorum in the fact that someone else had done the saving instead of them having to fight their way tooth and nail out of the canyons.
"You made mention of the village, everyone did make it away from the island alright? What direction did they start in when they left," Finn asked then after a moment, only wanting to know that everyone was in fact safe, and so he could go make a visit when he did leave the island. It would seem everyone broke off into their own familiar groups, which was fine by Alec. Like Vanessa, and Thomas, He didn't feel like mingling just yet. Maybe if they had to wait much longer, he would venture over and engage Rhienne. Maybe introduce Vanessa. He knew introducing girls was a huge no no, when trying to impress one. He still had a plan to steal from Vanessa, but maybe now use her connections. But Rhienne... She wasn't going to be competition. She wasn't really his type, she was too young for him. Instead he saw her as a friend, like he did Jinx. She wasn't someone he'd actively pursue to date or what have you. Alec's style of dating at least. However, they didn't have to wait long. A deep rumbling could be heard. It didn't really concern him until it began to grow louder and louder. He frowned his brows as he looked around to his Pokemon, then to Vanessa to see if they were hearing it too. " I don't know what that is, but I can honestly say yous guys, that that is not me." Alec and his Pokemon quickly turned towards that direction and spotted the smoke. What emerged was nothing short of frightening. Even for Alec. It was a massive rocket like thing that rose into the air, and let out a metallic like screech. His expression dropped from his y one to one that was anything but. The ground continued to rumble as it suddenly shifted. Another one erupted from the ground, devouring the rock formations. " Oh shit!" Alec exclaimed, as the two massive beasts began to enclose around them. His eyes flashed from beast to beast, and for the first time he agreed with the Aether. These were monsters. Spade began tugging on his arm, signalling his readiness to leave. But Alec stayed. Hunting wasn't warping them out, and they couldn't out run these beasts. One was a rocket for Arceus' sake. His heart pounded as he watched one climb higher above, and towards them, while the other charged forward. His Pokemon readied in front of him, defensively, but Alec held Spade next to him. However... movement caught his eye. He looked upward just in time to see the rocket get knocked out of the sky and land in a rocky heap in the distance. While the black thing was swallowed by the earth it emerged from. A blonde girl in white and pink landed dramatically near by, while another short one emerged from the ground. They moved closer as they spoke, with a glance he looked to Vanessa as he moved towards them to listen. He had no idea who they were, but they singlehandedly took the beasts out... That was definitely worthy of his attention. They explained who they were, Gym Leaders. That's the only title he knew or cared about. It was good to have someone officiated on their side. Finally. They told their stories, and then thanked them for their hard work. " You put on a good show. But I think I want to stay. I'm not going to miss out on the excitement." Alec spoke to both woman before him. They had beckoned them all to go to the village and wait. But if these two were going to take them on and capture them, Alec wanted to see it. " What do you think, Vanessa?" Alec asked, turning to her. However, his Pokemon beside him all looked apprehensive about staying. Well above the grounds, and in the clouds. Red eyes were watching It was very interesting to Hunting to say the least. These beasts were foreign to even himself. He was very interested to watch this show. Elemental Paradisity Leader MinaMina was letting everyone process what had just happened. It was a very frightening encounter, even if she had intervened with Hapu before they got in on the danger. She could easily see they were in the midst of quite a few people with very different opinions. She could see everyone had taken a beating from the previous beasts, and that upset her to see, so she did want these trainers and visitors to head to the Pokecenter to get healed up. She might not be the most enthusiastic about her position as Trial Captain, or even Gym Leader. But she hated that this was some of their first experience in Alola. With the festival ruined, but Skull as well as the Beast, their opening of the League had not gone well at all. One of the young woman with blonde hair quickly agreed to leave. After everything they did, Mina was happy she had the option to leave and get the medical attention she deserved. However the Pirate dressed trainer seem to scold her, as well as thank them. "It's no prob really, that's what we're here to do. I'm sure the other Kahunas just were in the wrong places at the wrong times" she added. "But seriously, like if you wanted to go, there's no shame in that. You have taken like so many blows already, all of you. It's understandable." Mina explained to both male and female. She didn't want the young woman to be pressured to stay. Another young man near by exclaimed that he wanted to stay for the show. She gave him a awkward smile and a shrug. "I guess you can stay if you want. But I can't say it'll be safe when we try and capture them." She warned him. It was all natural for people wanting to stay or go. She was willing to speak and answer any question any of them have, or even just meet them. Hapu included. She just wanted them all safe. Soon the Pirate spoke up, asking about the Village. She had to think for a moment, trying to remember where everyone had fled to. "Honestly, I dunno man." she told him with a sad smile. "It all happened so fast. We were all talking on the docks, and the Ultra Worm Hole opened, and one blasted out, and the other fell out. Before we knew it, everything was on fire, and getting eaten. It was a mad house. Everyone scattered into the boats and ships. I don't think everyone had a set location, they just tried to get away." She explained to him honestly. "It all happened so fast, I was too busy trying to get all of the Pokemon, and Aether Foundation Employees that couldn't battle out, while some put out fires. Those things steam rolled us, man." She said shaking her head, then looking to her Togekiss, and patting her on the wing. "I lost a lot of paintings, but at least no one was seriously harmed. That's all that matters." but truly two." Thomas could tell that Ridley did not want to be here. Everything about her stance and expression told him that much, but he couldn't understand why. I mean, they had beaten a number of Ultra Beasts already, right? Then Finn arrived not long after, dismounting his dragon and drawing a legit sword. "What the.." He gasped, staring the pirate down but staying put. He didn't like the looks of that blade, and he knew it was real even without laying a finger on it. If Finn really tried to attack them, he knew Lady would stop him. The dragon wasn't such a huge challenge with his own Fairy-Type Pokemon so powerful after her mega evolution. Fortunately the situation was diverted by the appearance of two creatures Thomas had never seen before. He knew at once these were the Ultra Beasts they were after.
The first of the giant creatures shot into the sky, like a literal living rocket, while the other beast emerged from the ground like the living dead. Thomas reacted quickly, having expected a battle. A Pokeball was in hand and he was about to throw it out when someone spoke near him. It was a Pokemon, so he didn't really understand what she was saying, but he looked around at the fox and where her line of sight was aimed. He followed it, and sure enough there was a small white dot shooting right at that rocket-like monster. They collided, and Thomas was dumbfounded to see that the smaller Pokemon actually knocked the larger Ultra Beast off it's course. Not only that, but the movement of the ground beneath his feet caused him to turn around just in time to see the other monster sucked into the ground.
For the most part, Ridley and Finn had the whole conversation thing under control. He was keen to let them deal with the newly appointed Gym Leaders, but he knew he wasn't going anywhere. This was no longer about a pretty girl whose number he wanted. This was his chance to shine. It was his opportunity to be a real hero and do something worthwhile. He was going to stay and fight until this whole ordeal was over. He wasn't afraid of Ultra Beasts, but he was worried about his Pokemon and/or friends getting hurt. "Don't be so hard on her, Finn. If she wants to go, she can. Nobody should have to deal with these things by force." It was her right to leave, or to stay, but to do one or the other of her own free will. -BACKPACK-

Jasper and company made it to the crest of the canyon just as the giant rocket of a Pokemon was taking off into the sky. He followed it for a moment, then looked down into the canyon to spot the giant black hole. "Boys, I think our luck is finally changing." They were all grinning at one another now. Just one of these Pokemon would be worth a fortune, it was true, but either one could very easily be used to bully and get what he wanted out of others. "We're gonna wait for them stupid Trainers down there to beat those things, and then sneak up on them." But he'd barely finished speaking when both Pokemon were dealt with in the blink of an eye. "Boss, you might want to take a look." So Jasper did. He stared into the sky, to see the Pokemon falling to earth and then down into the canyon without seeing any trace of the giant black ultra beast. What the hell just happened?! "Quick, move, get in there!" If they were going to capture one of these Pokemon, they had to do so fast. First, however, they had to find where the Pokemon had gone! "Do you see them?" He asked, but both goons shook their heads in unison. Useless, they were both just absolutely useless sometimes. He snarled and slid down the canyon wall. Right into the danger zone. Obviously those stupid Trainers were busy talking to people he had seen, but couldn't put a name to. So they had time to do what they were here to do before being discovered. OOC: Standing there on the canyon top with her two Pokemon and 'Thomas', Demeter looked around through her sunglasses at the otherwise empty and devoid landscape. If it weren't for the constant breeze and cool winds from the ocean and being on an island, she could only imagine how scorching and miserable it would actually be out there with not even a twig for shade. The other trainers had since shown up, and she was surpried that more than a few of them had actually made a point to come to stand against a 'monster', it didn't seem that the Aether Foundation meant this for the faint of heart. She stood with Alec, beginning to ponder what it was that they should be doing in this desolate scape, trying to figure the best course of action to take. They could stay up there in the open, there were a good amount of them and their Pokemon, it would be difficult for anything to catch them by surprise, but this whole canyon was supposed to be a labyrinthine of drop offs, trenches, and cave systems that made up the entire ecosystem. That Ultra Beast could be anywhere. It could be right beneath their feet and they wouldn't know it since the cave systems were so intricate, there was really no telling what could happen. Alec however, at Calcifer's mention and her question, seemed to think that waiting there at the top of the canyon was thier best option. It made sense, it could really go either was as to what they needed to do.
"Alright, we'll wait it out. We can only hope this beast is out in the open and not a cave dweller. We'd never find it if it ends up in the caves here," Demeter agreed.
"You know, I don't think we have a whole lot of waiting to do," Calcifer commented, and while typically his tone regarding chaos and mayhem was intrigued and a bit cynical with delight, this time there was actually caution in his voice as he looked up to Demeter. He glanced to Loki shrouded in illusion, and the Zoroark stiffened as his fur began to bristle and stand on end. Demeter was going to question, she could just feel Loki beside her and that never meant anything good was about to happen, but before any mention could be made, there was a deep rumble that emanated from the ground beneath their feet and it only continued to grow. It grew louder and more prominent with each passing second until it was accompanied by a shuttering boom of some kind, like an explosion almost that errupted in a giant cloud of smoke in the distance. Embers could be seen shrouding the area as something rose into the air, propelled by the very smoke and thrust that was something out of pure science like a rocket. It sounded like one too, the deep rumble that shook the ground around them, but there was no metallic gleam, no wings or other mechanics, and certainly no air and space bases that she knew about on this island. There was no question that this thing shouldn't be on the island, should be among them at all, and that was made clear with the shrill metallic screech that it gave out, something akin to metal scraping metal that made Demeter's hair stand on her arms. This had to be the Ultra Beast in question, it was enormous already from the distance that they were standing, but just as the creature started to head towards them in the air, Demeter realized that the ground had never actually stopped shaking. In fact, it was getting worse as she could feel it shaking and almost moving beneath her feet, and there was a giant crack that shuttered through the ground of the canyon top where a plume of dust and dirt showered over the horizon. What could only be described as a distorted roar, something guttural and primal, echoed over the trenches where a giant black figure emerged from the dust and dirt. It was towering and menacing with pincers that protruded from a giant gaping all consuming mouth, and Demeter wondered then if this might all have been a bigger bite than she could chew. They were surrounded, there were two Ultra Beasts when it had been thought to be only one, and they were nothing like the other two species that they had faced before. It was no wonder the Aether Foundation had been so beaten and battered as they were trying to go up against even one of these with their incompetency, it was a wonder that as many of them had escaped with their lives as they had come across. It was no use trying to run, and Demeter would be damned if she was going to bow out of this like a coward, so she and her Pokemon did the only thing they could and stood their ground as the beasts closed in. She was glancing from the beast in the air to the gaping black one when there was a screech from the air and the sound of a collision with the ground, and Demeter had only just barely saw the trail of smoke billowing through the air and plummeting to the ground. There was another devastating crack that shook the canyon, but instead the black beast bellowed as it fell within the depths and was consumed entirely, and it seemed that on both fronts they were saved by two figures that came closer towards the group of trainers. Only because she had visited the region more than once did she recognize the two figures, some of the trial leaders that the Alola region was famous for in their tradition, and they had saved their lives it turned out from the beasts that had appeared on the island. Before long, they were being offered safe passage to the Pokemon Center in the village on the western side of the island, and it almost seemed that all of their troubles were over.
"I'm not so sure the Aether Foundation is who to call for extraction," Demeter spoke aloud, but it seemed that Alec had other plans entirely for their presence there in the canyons. He wanted to stay and watch some spectacle unfold with the beasts still present on the island.
"Can we not and say we did? I'm not the only one who's fed up with all of this, right," Lucero leered as he looked up to the human with a glare, but he glanced to the male's Pokemon and found that he didn't seem to be the only one with a similar opinion.
"Yeah, this was fun and all, you know just standing here throwing attacks since logs and rocks don't really do it for me, but I'm kind of over it too," Calcifer sighed with a groan almost, getting tired of pulling weight and doing all the work it seemed since Loki decided he was going to sit all of this out.
"What's a little bit longer? I'm with Alec, let's see what happens when the Aether Foundation gets here, or what's left of it," Demeter remarked, earning a groan and a growl from her two Pokemon, and a leer from Thomas who too was not so pleased at their final verdict. She didn't want to be here when they went to capture the subdued Pokemon. This was another reason why the Blonde wasn't happy she found out him and Thomas knew each other. He knew about Mina, and was already siding with the Leader. Ridley wanted it to always be her way, any other way was wrong to her. Ridley listened to Mina's story after Finn asked. It sounded they experienced the same thing her group did on Hauoil city. Basically a surprise attack. They were lucky with their timing of this all, or maybe Alola would have been blown off the map as everyone not been there for the festival. She tried not to think about what would have happened. Ridley turned to look at Thomas, as he stuck up for her, she thought. His voice and expression read nothing but kindness, and the usual friendliness. But she took it again as being third wheel-ed. "You know, I agree with that. Just try not to sound so happy when you say it." Ridley told him. She couldn't exactly fault him for defending her, and he was right. She wanted the right to leave, and be safe. But she also wanted Thomas to want her to stay, and beckon her to stick around. After a pause, she let out a annoyed sigh. "Anyways, it doesn't matter. I'm sure the old hag, and goodie-no-shoes over here wouldn't let us leave until everyone was okay here." Ridley commented, gesturing to Amma calling her a Hag, and then to Jessica. gravity_resistant White Prince Of Wonderland Skylar SorenIt was quiet again in the canyons, the wind moving over the plateaus and picking up the sea breezes in the far distance was almost peaceful again despite what had happened. The natural wind in the area was beginning to clear away the trail of rocket smoke left by the Ultra Beast that had risen into the air, while the dust clouds from the other monstrous creature had began to disperse as well. The attacks on either beast were powerful and surely devastating in the way that the Ultra Beasts had succumb to the damage taken. The first that was rising from the ground had made a rather spectacular crash in the distance with a plume of smoke and dust that had clouded the sky from the impact it made, and the other had been consumed by the ground with screeches and roars bellowing from its gaping mouth. With the creatures subdued for now, the two gym leaders were right in needing to await for either the Aether Foundation or the Dimensional Research Laboratory to come and detain the creatures so no more harm came to either them or the island they had appeared on, but it might seem that the group of trainers and leaders that were gathered on the canyon top might be a bit occupied in the time it would take for them to await the arrival of appropriate forces.
Just as before, that deep rumble began in the very earth of the canyon, this time it was clearly more powerful and prominent and was building up much quicker than before. There was that same ear splitting metallic screech that echoed through the air before smoke billowed up into the air with a spray of embers and power. The beast's two arm like appendages rose into the air high above its head, and even in the distance that it had fallen from the sky, it was clear to see because of the sheer size of the beast. The wide ends of its arms sprayed furious pillars of smoke and embers that shrouded the sky, and they came down fast before the beasts top could be seen, and it was again rising into the air with a shrill shriek that carried over and through the canyons.
On the other side, where the clouds of dust and dirt had only just started to settle, there was a deep, powerful shutter that rushed through the canyon rock, and what sounded almost like a muffled roar that shook the very ground. There was a thunderous crack that split the ground in the distance clean in two, and a flurry of rocks were tossed into the air as one of the giant black pincers from the monster thrusted out of the earth. There was another bellow, a distorted, guteral roar before the other pincer broke out of the confines, and within seconds there was a giant gaping hole in the canyon top where the rock and sediment had entirely vanished at being consumed, the very walls that had surrounded the beast. It was free now, and with its powerful legs, snapping pincers, and a fury and rage that was fuling its very drive, it clamored out of the hole it was in with another deep roar as it stood now on the canyon top. Its legs stomped furiously on the ground with a power and force that was making the earth crumble beneath its weight, and it began to charge over the orange canyon top at a speed it seemed impossible for a creature of its size to be able to achieve. Its gaping torso remained open, and empty gnawing abyss that threatened to consume anything that came too close, and as the beast neared a drop off in the distance, it didn't hesitate as it thrusted itself into the air on its powerful legs, clearing the trench beneath it easily as it landed and continued to charge. It had its assailants in sight, and was coming for vengeance and possibly even blood while the other beast was now charging the group from the air. A pillar of smoke rushed behind it as it propelled itself forward, and now the group was being targeted by the very creatures that threatened the entirety of Poni Island.Guidelines: - Each character can only attack one Ultra Beast at a time per turn - Between turns you are still welcome to post as much as you'd like, but you can only get in one attack per character - The targets will be randomly selected, attacks will be chosen - Please specify in your post which beast you are attacking and which attack and Pokemon you are attacking with - The battle will move forward every four days, regardless of all participants having posted or not - If a Pokemon gets knocked out in battle, it will either require a revive item or a Pokemon center to continue - The beasts are immune to all status ailments and will not flinch or become confused - Speed is not applicable to the battle, and the turn order will not be the same each round - Just as speed cannot be lowered, Accuracy cannot be lowed for the Ultra Beasts. But she didn't want any of them to worry any more then they already had been. She had expected the group of trainers to be half way to the Pokemon Center by now. However, more seemed to have arrived to listen. The blonde trainer with a bad attitude seemed to have a quick snippy response. She said she was glad no one died, and what not. But her tone said other wise. It rubbed the Trial Captain the wrong way, but she kept her mouth shut. Mina was going to continue on about the Village, maybe let him know the usual safe points, places they would go in dangerous weather, but she didn't get the chance to. Behind her there was the rumbling as before, only it was quickly replaced but screeching as the large rocket beast took towards the sky, and directly for the group. Mina focused on the beast she attacked before, as she gasped. "Everyone! Look out!" She shouted, getting back and ready to battle. It was a very frightening scene, the rocket blasting towards them, and the other barreling in their direction. "Get ready everyone! Togekiss use Aura Sphere on the rocket! Stay close but lets keep it at bay!" Mina called out to her Pokemon. She wasn't going to hesitate. This beast would take them all out if she gave it the chance. Her Togekiss agreed and lifted into the air. It began to form a ball of bright pink energy, and then sent it soaring at the Beast. Jasper Cole was not here to help anyone else; that just wasn't in his nature. He had come down into the canyon in an attempt to steal and capture those rare and incredibly powerful Pokemon that other Trainers had seemingly beaten. It was supposed to be an easy grab, but apparently they hadn't finished the job. While the trio were looking around for signs of the Pokemon, one of them emerged from the ground - sending giant stones flying towards them.
Fortunately, Sandygast was already out. The Pokemon sent a series of stone pillars erupting from the ground to form a protective wall between it's Trainer and the attack from the wild Pokemon. From there, a line of jagged rocks shot from the ground towards the Guzzlord, eventually hitting it with the Stone Edge attack that had served as both barrier and offense. "That's what I'm talking about!" He shouted, grinning. "F**k that thing up!"TL;DR

Just as Thomas was about to respond about how he didn't want her to leave - but that it was her choice, the area exploded into a flurry of action. The two Pokemon they had all watched being put down with enough force to keep them down were back. Apparently it hadn't been enough, despite the power they had been hit with. Their conversation would have to wait until later, it was obvious that their choice had just been made for them. Thomas looked to Lady, but realized that he would need her later as a last resort. So instead he sent out Lapras. His Pokemon showed no fear as it faced off against the living missile. In fact, the Thunder attack that came crashing down on it was sent with more confidence than anything else. They knew they could take this thing down, just like they'd done with every other threat they had faced before this. Darkrai fell, his beastly creation fell, and what were these ultra beasts in the face of a literal hellscape? TL;DR

She was ready to go and take Finn away and do what she could against the creatures that had descended upon their plane of existence, but just as she might have thought that one of them was actually making its way up into the air far enough that she would be spotted and forced to intervene, it was knocked out of the sky and thrust into the ground below, just as the other large black creature had been subdued by the very earth it consumed. Her blue eyes were sharp, she knew that these things were very unpredictable in everything that they were capable of, but she felt Finn calm in the forethought of her mind, and she grew less tense. That was very short lived however as she felt something in the air around her, a very prominent power that was much like her own and something that she was very familiar with, but not at all comfortable with. His sinister voice moved through the air like a fog that threatened to shroud even the brightest light, and her talons flexed at the notion that he was there with her above the island. He never came out of his realm for anything good, he always had some vendetta or personal agenda to attend to, and she honestly wondered if there was something that she didn't know about the fate of the humans on the island beneath them, and just the very idea of it made her blood boil.
"Friend is a strong word to use Hunting," Bade spoke back, hardly able to look him in the eye as he came towards her only slightly in the air where she lofted on her wings, having never known kindness or sincerity from such a wicked spirit. He made an inquiry though, and the more and more Bade had to hear his voice, the more it was making her seethe on the inside, she wanted to know why he was there and what he wanted just so he would leave this place, and leave the vacinity of her human.
"They are not of this plane or any plane that interacts directly with this world. They would perish, just like any natural creature, but their souls and what lay beyond is far from what either of us can fathom," the wyvern answered, knowing enough of the spirit to venture he would have already taken care of the creatures if he saw fit, but there could be repercussions far beyond anything they could imagine for handling these beasts themselves.
"The humans speak of these creatures as inter dimensional travelers, if we intervened as beings of power in this 'dimension', there is no telling if there are beings of power in their dimension that would see an upset in our interference. That is not a balance we should interfere with," Bade explained, hoping that the Giratina would not get any ideas of causing an inter dimensional war between powers, Arceus surely would see to it that they all be punished for causing such an upset in the natural balance.
It was a welcome relief to know that the residents of the floating village had made it away from the island in time after it had been taken over by the Ultra Beasts. He was friends with most of them and very familiar with the rest since he and his crew did spend a good amount of time around the islands of Alola. It was a rich trading culture and there was always something that they could use in their voyage, and Finn found what he could consider a third family among those who lofted through the open seas with their homes. It was almost a smaller version of Alto Mare, a city floating on waves, and it always homed him to be among the docks and lapping waves. When they did make their way from the island, Finn had every intent to head out into the open water to find maybe just a few of the boats. They deserved to know that thier home was safe and that they could return when they saw fit, the uncertainty of it all could cause them to not come back at all if they weren't notified. He couldn't thank Mina enough for being so gracious in her aide to the residents there, helping them on their boats and taking care of the land that was just west of them from the canyons, even despite Ridley's haste in wanting to leave. He understood her rush, but she was still being just a bit rude to the only help they had received this entire episode through the Alola region thus far, the least they could do is offer genuine thanks to Mina and Hapu. He did want to make sure that things were going to be handled and taken care of, despite not knowing how long it might be before the Aether Foundation or Dimensional Research lab techs might take to get to their location, but he felt Bade at the forethought of his mind then, and her presence didn't exactly feel comforting. Before he could question what was wrong, or before she could make any mention of the foreboding feeling she was getting, the ground beneath him began to shake again, and he feared the worst.
All at once both of the wretched creatures were recovering from the attacks they had been subject to at Mina and Hapu, the first propelling itself through the air with a screech and the other charging at them and thrusting itself over trenches in the canyon tops to get to the trainers that it could see.
"Finn, you can't fight these creatures," Bade demanded then, and he knew that at any single word the wyvern would be down from the air above and take him away from this place, but he looked out with his sharp green eyes at Ridley and Thomas, and the other trainers who were so valiantly willing to aid in this fight, and he gripped a cutlass in hand with a grunt in his throat.
"Absolutely not. We do not sacrifice the many for the few. I cannot in good consciousness let those who have fought beside me keep on while I run," Finn argued back.
"Captain, what's your word," Scarux asked then, standing tall on the canyon top as the dragon caught his attention, and Finn looked on as the beasts charged them, surely enraged and blood thirsty at being attacked as they had been, but despite it all there was no room for leaving the fight.
"Yellow was never a pirate's color," Finn spoke as he looked to Ridly then, finding that Thomas had already made headway in the battle as the trainers and Mina and Hapu tried to attack and get in what they could while the beasts were still at a distance.
"On my word Ridley, we will make it out of this with our lives, but we must make our stand here," Finn tried to urge, and at his word Scarux gave a roar as the dragon rose into the air, starting to take aim at the charging black beast that leaped over another canyon break, and he attacked with every ounce of will and tenacity that he knew his captain to have. OOC: Things were quiet enough on the canyon top as a few of the trainers took to conversing with the leaders that had come in to interfere with the Ultra Beasts, and while Demeter had to say she wasn't ever exactly one to be upstaged, she could say that she was at least thankful for not having to expend too much more effort for a cause that she had very little intention to keep up with. She was only going to stick around for the sake of watching the Aether Foundation or the Research Lab techs fail and get mauled by these creatures since they seemed so competent, and really to see to it that they were going to do their jobs after slacking this whole time. Otherwise, her interest in all of this was waning, she was getting all the information she needed in order to make sure she had the leg up on all of these new developments. She knew she wasn't going to be able to subdue and capture one of these creatures, she could accept that, but she was tired and sore and worn down from having thought that she was going to take a nice vacation just earlier that day. It would be a welcome relief to know that this was going to be over, and she could go with Alec to the Hano Grande Resort and demand the vacation that she deserved after having hers ruined, but it didn't seem like she was going to get that luxury.
"Please tell me that's just some stupid mud head of a Pokemon digging a tunnel," Lucero groaned as the ground began to shake and rumble beneath his paws, his head hanging in defeat at the very thought that this might not be all over and they should have left when they were given a chance.
"Perhaps we should have taken the opportunity to leave when we had it. It seems to be too late now," Loki scowled at Demeter beside him as the canyon errupted into chaos again, and there was another pillar of smoke rising into the air and another horrendous crack that shuttered through the earth as both Ultra Beasts were very much alive and well. They were both charging for the group of trainers, and whether it be because they could recognize their original assailants or because they were just the first targets they had set their sights on, it didn't matter since they were clearly enraged and entirely incomprehensibly infuriated.
"So we're just going to leave and let Aether take care of these things that they couldn't before? I don't know about you, but I don't want that thing making its way to Johto," Demeter chided, pointing to the airborn creature that was coming straight for them through the sky. She was hardly a saint by any means in wanting to stand up for what's good and save the Alola Region, but she needed the peace of mind and security to know that these things weren't going to be making their way to other parts of the world. Orre was not that far from Alola, she needed to make sure that her family was going to stay safe despite this, and she wasn't going to trust Aether or the research lab to do that for her. The only way to get something done and done right was to do it herself.
"We're on the defensive. They did in fact end up finding the Ultra Beast in question, surely the one that must have roughed up the Aether Foundation agents from the plains, but there were actually two very large, very powerful, and very intimidating Ultra Beasts that were in the canyons with them. They were not of the same species, not like in the jungles or in Hau'Oli City, they were very different from each other but just as much a threat as the other one was. Rhienne wasn't sure how they were supposed to face off against these things that they knew so little about, but then again... She'd done that more than she would like to admit in her life already. Wattson and Nara were on the offensive, and with both beasts charging at them it seemed that they might be at the cusp of a very heated and difficult battle, but both creatures were subdued by an incredibly powerful attack each that struck them down before they got too much further. It turned out to be two of the region's gym leaders that had come to their aid, both of them were already on the island when the beasts had appeared from the wormholes that opened up, and they had stepped in to make sure that no one else got hurt. Rhienne was thankful for their help, she wasn't sure if they had it in them to take on the two massive creatures that threatened the island, but as they had stopped to converse, and would be waiting for one of the organizations to come and detain the creatures so they could no longer cause any harm to themselves or their surroundings, it didn't seem like things were over. Both beasts errupted in rage in fury as they came up from the attacks that struck them and were now charging for the two leaders and the group of trainers that stood there on the canyon top. There wasn't much choice now, they could try to run but especially the one from the sky, it didn't feel like they could get very far before they were caught up in any attack or otherwise that it was capable of. Around her other trainers and the gym leaders had started to fire their attacks in an attempt to keep the beasts at a distance, and do what damage they could in an attempt to subdue them, and she knew that it was the only chance they had in any way to survive this. Rhienne kept Wattson close, but Nara roared as she stepped forward to take her strike, and she aimed for the beast in the air with a powerful aura that she held in her maw, firing it off into the air to strike at the airborn rocket.
