 In one of the northern parts of Akala Island, the Lush Jungle is another unique and beautiful environment that can only be found in the Alola Region. Carefully settled on the western side of the Wela Volcano park, and located close enough to the northern coast of Akala island, these two areas have mixed to create a sustained ecosystem within the island. The fertile soil and warm climate from the Wela Volcano park, mixed with the misty sea air from the ocean, these factors created a fertile and well irrogated land of thick dense trees and grass for a tropical rain forest. The canopy has grown so thick over the years that almost no light gets in through the leaves, but still there is enough water in the air and enough warmth from the volcanoes that the jungle now sustains itself. Not only is the nature of this environment unique all its own with its winding paths, lucious foliage and flowers, but it also does house such a unique environment that this is the only place that some flowers and fruits will grow in the entire region.  {Lush Jungle Gym (Click)}Mallow is the Trial Captain of Akala Island's Lush Jungle. She specializes in Grass-type Pokémon. Mallow is an energetic girl who loves cooking, but her sense of taste can be peculiar. But this has worked in her favor, while her tastes are a little strange, There is no other food made like hers. This lead to her Restaurant's success. While it is a family business owned by her parents, and her older brother even works there, Mallow has taken over a lot of the business and menu selections, and soon she plans to take over the restaurant entirely and take it off her parent's hands.. It's actually in Konikoni Island rather then near the Lush Jungle. Though she isn't always there to cook, she has her family and a trusted staff that was hand selected and trained. Even still, she's been known to cook on the go within the actual Lush Jungle to feed the Pokemon that live there, and traveling trainers. She's been known to offer to cook for her challengers, win or loss. When she's not cooking, she can often be found hanging out with Lana and Kiawe. She also can be found in the Lush Jungle relaxing with the Pokemon that fill the jungle with their aromatherapy, to which she's been trying to convince Kiawe and Lana to try, which neither have. The gym sits in the back of the Lush Jungle, closer towards the volcano side. This forces the trainers to venture through the entirety of the jungle to find the actual battle field. Most enjoy their hike through the plant life, finding the sights and Pokemon here beautiful. Along the way, the challenger will face the totem Pokemon about the plant life. After battling the Pokemon and making their way through the jungle, they will find Mallow's battle field. The trees and foliage opens up into a clearing coated in thick grass and flowers. The field is all natural and Mallow refuses to allow anything done to the clearing, forcing the trainers and Pokemon to battle in the grass. This makes the field fairly versatile and beautiful to battle on. gravity_resistant White Prince Of WonderlandIt was early afternoon now and the sun was high over the Alola Region, but within the jungles found on Akala island, it looked as though it were growing on late evening with the dense canopy of tall trees that covered the area. The canopy was thick enough to hardly let in any sunlight from above without a bout of wind that might shake the leaves at the tops of the trees, otherwise it was dim and dark on the jungle floor. The air was warm because of the natural tropical climate of the island, but not stifling, though the air was thick and heavy with all of the contained moisture that sustained the jungle. Despite the darkness of the jungle floor, there were vibrant colors at every turn, on every tree and every bush from all of the flowers and bushels of fruit that grew in abundance in this environment. There were flowers as small as a coin or as big as a human head, all different colors and all thriving in this kind of environment. The jungle was beautiful and serene, but the only thing that seemed a bit out of place was how quiet the surrounding area was. The jungle was home to dozens of different species and thousands of occupants, but there wasn’t a monkey’s cry or a bug’s buzz or the fluttering of bird wings anywhere in the surrounding area, it was just quiet. The only other thing that seemed out of place was in the near distance, a thick stream of sunlight was coming down from the canopy above, out of place and clearly from some disturbance in the leaves above. At the base of the stream of sunlight was what looked like the remnants of one of the trees in the area where some of the trunks were thicker around than an elevator shaft was wide, but a string of bark no thicker than an average human’s arm laid shriveled up on the ground, a gaping hole in the dirt on the ground where the roots and base of the trunk had once rested. There was another hole of sunshine coming through not too far off, though instead of a shriveled up tree being taken from its place, there were large splinters and shards of wood that littered the area, and a giant tree fallen as though it had been knocked over, though it’s roots were still intact in the ground. Instead the base of the trunk had splintered and broke as it had fallen over, though the cause was still unclear as to what was causing the disruption in the environment. Through the thick trees and the dense foilage, the sound of distress came with screeches of birds and angry buzzing from bugs in the distance, and there was a splintering crack that rang through the jungle floor, then the cracking and breaking of branches as a tree fell with a thundering crash to the ground. There was quiet then, the trees settling after being disturbed for what could be the first time in decades, but there was a deep buzzing sound that raced through the trees, coming towards the gathered trainers. On both sides of the path that was set through the jungle, wood began to shower into splinters and spray out in shards as the trees began to buckle and fall in on their own weight. The sound was defeaning at each break, and soon there was a mass of trees caving in on the path that was set in the jungle, bringing the branches of other trees, vines and masses of leaves, surely capable of crushing anything that lay in the way of the great trunks. - Please state which Pokemon your character will be releasing onto the field for this next portion of the event - The next update of the event will be posted four days from now - You are welcome to post as many times as you would like between now and then to interact with and react to the environment

OOC:With her vacation effectively ruined for lack of a better term, having Calcifer stick around in Hau'Oli city for just a moment to call off her yacht and its crew to tell them to take it back to the docks for a job well done, and at least grabbing her a pair of shorts since she wasn't dressed for going out on a jungle safari, Demeter appeared with Minthos and Thomas beside her in the dense jungles of Akala Island. Calcifer appeared just moments after, handing her the garment that he had actually been so kind to retrieve for her, and she took only a second to put them on over her swimsuit beneath the black cover she was wearing. It only took her a moment more to realize how glad she was that she was actually still wearing a swimsuit as she stood there amongst the lush foliage, the moisture in the air was stifling, and she could already feel it on her skin from being there no more than a minute.
"Oh man, you guys will never know how great it is to be dead and not have to feel menial things like sweat,"/b] Calcifer snickered as Demeter quickly put up her hair in a high ponytail to keep it out of her face and off of her body, but Loki stood there in abject disdain as he was feeling the affects of the moisture in the air with his long fur. He knew in a matter of minutes he was going to be just as miserable as he had been within that first challenge Darkrai had trapped them in.
"You can't possibly expect me to stay out here," Loki hissed lowly as he eyed the other trainers around them, and Alec wasn't too far off from where they had appeared with Minthos.
"Thomas can't just disappear, not when you've already been seen, that raises too many questions," Demeter returned, part in trying to maintain the ruse they've already built for themselves now, and mostly because if she was going to suffer, Loki was going to be right there with her. Minthos retreated to his Pokeball at Demeter's word, and she moved forward with Thomas and Calcifer towards Alec whom had appeared just the same from Hau'Oli city with his group of Pokemon.
"Next time, I'll pick where we're going," Demeter spoke, her tone was light, but she was just ever so slightly disgruntled at how miserable things were going to be in this jungle because of the dense trees and thick vines and no wind or anything that was going to take the moisture away. She hadn't been to any of the rural parts of Akala Island, having really only visited HeaHea City for it's beautiful resort hotels, so she couldn't have known that this area was going to be so insufferable, but now she was regretting it.
"Yes please, we might as well be doing back strokes through the air," Loki seethed, his tone much less light than Demeter's as he was fuming in his heavy fur and thick mane. Demeter rolled her eyes and left Loki to stew in his own self loathing as she moved forward with Alec, starting to look through the surrounding area.
"So, those scientists didn't tell us what Ultra Beasts we're looking for? Should we be looking for those Nihilego," she asked aloud then, having noticed that the professor only provided them with very little information on what it was they would actually be doing here, what they could be expecting, and how to best prepare. She was going to try and use her tactical training to the best of her ability though as she did begin to survey the area.
"How wild of an idea is it that those Ultra freaks might already be here," Calcifer queried after a moment, earning a glance from Demeter and Loki.
"That professor said they were expecting the wormholes to open, not that they already have. That's what we should be looking for, an entry point," Loki corrected, sometimes unable to really comprehend Calcifer's insolence, but the ghost paid little mind to the dark type's words as he looked ahead of them on the path.
"Well, science isn't always right, cause I'd like to see science explain that," the ghost mentioned, pointing ahead of them on the path at a rather thick stream of sunlight that disturbed the otherwise dark and dim atmosphered of the jungle and its canopy. What was all the more surprising though was the tree that was fallen, knocked completely over, though its roots were still intact on the ground. Demeter walked closer to the tree, she knew enough of the history of the jungle at least to know that it was pretty much undisturbed since it was a protected place in the region, and it was a self sustaining ecosystem that didn't have any deteriorating qualities, not like this. She looked around though at the plants that were shrouded in the sunlight now, and they hadn't started to brown or anything of the like, so the disturbance was still pretty fresh. The oddest thing was the tree itself though, splintered and cracked and completely knocked over, like something just rammed into it and went all the way through.
"Well, this wasn't natural, whatever we're looking for has to be really big to take down a tree like this," Demeter commented, though it seemed Alec had found something else down the way with his Pokemon.
"Or something incredibly strong," Loki continued, trying to discern what it was they might be up against. Suddenly in the distance there was another echoing crack, and the sounds of a tree falling through the branches of the other trees around it could be heard as birds fluttered and bugs scattered, telling them that whatever they were about to face was getting closer.
"Be on your guard," Demeter spoke lowly for Calcifer and Loki, her tactical mind coming about, but there was a sudden rush by them, a fierce and low buzzing sound that sounded something like an angry Scizor, and infinitely more agressive. All the way down the path where the other trainers had gathered, there was another splintering crack and a spray of wood that shot out in shards as one of the trees began to fall, and then another and another before there was a dominoe effect of trees falling and catching branches and vines on the way down with their mighty weight, heading straight for Demeter and Alec and any of the other trainers that had started up that way.
"Science is wrong, they're already here," Calcifer shouted over the cracking trees as Demeter and Loki had the good sense to start running, knowing that the desctruction path was going to be far more devastating with how the trees were all connected with each other because of the thick canopy. There were vines and branches falling even ahead of them now at being disturbed with the falling trunks catching up behind them, and it was now getting more difficult to dodge the sprays of wood and splinters that were showering the path through the jungle. They were quick to scurry off, which was rather odd as more and more trainers began to show up in the area, all ready to help the cause they had been called for. Wattson held the strange Pokeball in his paws, considering the power it had and how much time it must have taken to develop something like this, but he couldn't help but find the comparison rather daunting to a situation they had helped a few years ago.
"I wonder if they had help from Bill developing a Pokeball that recongnizes only a unique individual," Wattson spoke then, unable to shake the foreboding feeling of all of this, remembering what had happened the last time they were called to help in a cause they knew so little about. Rhienne felt her blood run cold then, remembering the glitches, those Pokeballs that Bill designed to help them the best that he could... When Mika caught the one that was terrorizing the Goldenrod shopping center... She didn't want to think that this would be so devasating, this had nothing to do with evil organizations, glitches capable of destabelizing reality as they knew it, this wasn't going to put her in the hospital or put Mika in a coma all over again...
"Don't do that now Wattson," Rhienne hushed, still trying to gain her strength back as she sat upon Nara's form, she didn't need any worry or concern like that to wash over her completely and render her incapable of handling this situation. The Lucario digressed, letting down his paws as he still held the ball, knowing that he couldn't let his own feelings get in the way of the bigger picture. If Rhienne was willing and had confidence in them for trying to help the state of the world as they knew it, then he should at least try to put on a good face. Nara however, having not been a part of the first troubles that Rhienne and Mika had faced, unsure of what the Pokeball had to do with anything, she glanced at Wattson before slowly starting to move forward on the path they'd found themselves on.
"I don't like this any more than you do, but you can't say you'd have a clear conscious if you left here knowing you could help," the tiger sighed, trying to at least get Wattson to understand that she wasn't trying to force this situation upon them, but in her place in the world she had a duty to do what she could when she could, and she knew Wattson had a good heart to understand that. The steel type looked to her, and while his eyes were solemn and he heaved a sigh, he knew that she was right, he couldn't just sit by and do nothing, it would kill him to know he could have done something and avidly chose to let others suffer.
"I think the humidity here is going to hurt anyone before any of these inter dimensional beings do," he said after a moment, trying to lighten the tone if only a little as he raised one arm, finding his fur starting to dampen at the moisture content in the air. Rhienne hadn't exactly noticed it before she let out a breath at trying to gain her full consciousness back, and the heat from her breath and the moisture in the air immediately caused her glasses to fog up.
"Oh this is going to be fun," Rhienne mused, taking off her glasses and trying to clean them off, and then working on trying to tie her hair back in any way shape or form that would keep it off of the back of her neck and away from her back. She and her two Pokemon moved forward slowly, unsure of what they were looking for or expecting, but some of the trainers ahead of them that had gotten to the jungle too were starting to converge around some spots of sunlight that came through the thick canopies above them, and they seemed concerned.
"What do you think is going on," Rhienne questioned, just before there was a loud crack that echoed through the jungle floor, gaining all of the attention from everyone there.
"Nothing good," Wattson spoke then, the fur on his arms standing straight up as he could feel an unwelcomed presence among them, but it was impossible to pinpoint. There was the sound of something rushing and buzzing through the trees around them, and Nara was quick to turn with her red eyes, ready for what may come, wanting to avenge herself against the ultra beast that had attacked her before, but there was another splintering crack and a spray of wood and shards that came from the path behind them, and one by one the trees began to fall leading up to right where they were standing.
"Move," Wattson urged as he struck a stray branch that had fallen above them, knocking it out of the way, but it seemed like the entire jungle was coming down around them as he and Nara rushed forward to try and escape the onslaught of falling trees. Alec couldn't help but smirk as the male had a clear disdain for the heat and humidity, saying they could swim through it. Of course, Alec agreed, but he wouldn't give him that. Alec looked him over, wearing his weird pants, and shirt, of course he'd be hot. Alec couldn't resist. " If it's too much for you, I'm sure you could wait back on the yacht while the adults took care of the problem." Alec told him, he kept his tone like it was before. Charming, with his charming grin, but the usual glint in his eye was there. Of course, his tone was smooth and calm, but his words were anything but, and it wasn't hard to see. He merely attempted to keep Vanessa's light tone. She began to speak about the Ultra Beasts, wondering if it'll be the jellyfish. " Maybe. But if they end up here by accident, and there's suppose to be plenty of them, our odds are no." Alec spoke, assuming it'll be different. Burnet spoke about Ulra Beasts being a species, and if they just happen to fall through an ultra worm hole, who's to say another one wont. Their group began to move as they looked around, but things still seemed to be calm, and quiet. Alec listened as Thomas and the Mega Gengar argued on the possibility of the Ultra Beast already being in the Jungle. " He might not be wrong, she said they predicted where it'll happen, not when. They could have been dropped here any time after they found the anomaly"The Weezing purposed, agreeing with the Mega Gengar that the beast could already be there. Spade looked to the poison type, and then back to Thomas. " Come on, you're suppose to be the fellow smart one. He's right, she literally said the ultra worm holes will be opening. Not opened." Spade chimed in, crossing his arms as they walked. Spade agreed with, what he thought was the human. " The science confuses me. But this place gives me the feelings of heebie jeebies" Piotr commented, looking around as his pair of arms were folded over his chest. Each rubbing his forearms uncomfortably despite the heat. Spade was on board with Thomas, at least until the Mega Gengar explained why he thought that. Looking ahead where the Ghost pointed was a stream of light, as if something fell through the forest's canopy. They began into the area, looking around. He saw both Spade and Piotr looking very uncomfortable. He couldn't tell if Spade was nervous that a tree was ripped in half, a fellow plant, or nervous about what did it. He glanced to see that Tamora had sauntered over and sat down on the tree laying on the ground comfortably, only for her head to snap to the side as she stood up and walked somewhere. He ignored her and stood up and walked over to Vanessa as her and Thomas spoke about what it could be. "It could be big, but I think it has to be something strong. I've seen my machamp break a tree in half, and it splintered like this." Alec spoke, unfortunately agreeing with Thomas. Back in the Eterna Forest, while practicing and working out, Piotr had broken a tree like that. It wasn't exactly like it, but it was enough to remind him. Before he could add anything, he felt a tap on his shoulder. He turned to look at Tamora, who looked sly but it seemed different. She didn't look normal, maybe it was the lack of grin. Either way, she pointed off to the side and pulled him bu the wrist. It only took him a few steps before he saw what she found. gravity_resistant White Prince Of WonderlandThe jungle was in complete dissaray, once peaceful and undisturbed now riddled with destruction and chaos. Decades and possibly even centuries old trees broken and wasted along the path now lay in splintered shards on the ground, opening the canopy above and letting in the harsh sunlight that would soon begin to kill the plants below that it touched. The environment had never seen such destruction, it would take decades more for the ecosystem to heal from such waste, but the creatures that were the cause of all of this were sure to cause even more damage if they were not stopped soon. The trainers that managed to get away from the path of falling trees were now the target of a brutish creature that stood tall atop the trunks and branches that riddled the ground, nothing like the first Ultra Beasts they had faced on Melemele Island. It was tall, incredibly tall compared to an average human and stood on four thick legs with no feet or claws, and was a vibrant red color that stuck out among the dull colors of the trunks of the trees. It's whole body seemed to pulse and undulate, and at a closer look it appeared that most of the red color was a transluscent liquid that coursed through its body, it's body was filled and swollen with this liquid. It had no face and no eyes, but a devestatingly long and sharp proboscis, and two giant, bulging arms that came from its shoulders and a set of orange wings on its back. It buzzed in a deep, angered tone, and it was clear that this creature was the source of all the destruction, and on the other side of the group of trainers, a buzzing sound in reply came as two trees were pushed apart and knocked towards the ground as a second of the strange creature moved forward, just as big and just as intimidating. The first Buzzwole came down with a hefty thud on the ground, flexing its wings and flexing its arms as the liquid in its body moved and jostled with it, but it grew angry and distressed again as it threw up its great arms. In a rage, the second creature rushed forward through the humans and Pokemon with an outstretched and electricity coated fist, and the first thing it made contact with was a red figure that it plowed right through. In the mean time, the first one turned and picked up a tree trunk that was as thick around as a car and as long as a Gyarados and began to swing it over the area and over the trainers and Pokemon that stood before it. It stomped its legs as rocks began to rise from the ground, and it seemed in some form of communication or understanding with each other, it moved the rocks and struck the same peculiar target that the other had punched among them. It was relentless in swinging the tree trunk though, laying waste to any other surrounding trees and plants, wanting to do as much damage as it could with the intruders that had happened upon them. Guidelines: - Each character can only attack one Buzzwole at a time per turn - Between turns you are still welcome to post as much as you'd like, but you can only get in one attack per character - Buzzwole's targets will be randomly selected, attacks will be chosen - Please specify in your post which Buzzwole you are attacking and which attack and Pokemon you are attacking with - The battle will move forward every four days, regardless of all participants having posted or not - If a Pokemon gets knocked out in battle, it will either require a revive item or a Pokemon center to continue - The Buzzwole are incapable of being frozen, confused, or put to sleep, and will not flinch - Speed is not applicable to the battle, and the turn order will not be the same each round - Just as speed cannot be lowered, Accuracy cannot be lowed for the Ultra Beasts. Jasper was quite disoriented from the teleportation. It was not something one could get used to immediately, and he felt... off. Like half of himself had been left behind in that burning festival. "Go figure the place goes up in flames and we actually weren't behind it." The leader said with a chuckle. They were already walking away from the girl who had brought them here, but had gotten less than fifty feet away when Jasper froze. At first, he couldn't figure out what was bothering him, but he came to realize that there was now a shaft of sunlight shining brightly through the trees ahead of them. It was as if Arceus himself were trying to show them something important, but it filled him with dread and he had no idea why.
"They said there would be Ultra Beasts in this forest... well I think they're already here." Lucky said from just behind Jasper. As if in response, a tree twenty feet to their right exploded from the base and came toppling towards them. The three males came running back to where they had first appeared in this forest, to be nearly hit with a wildly-swinging tree. not limb, full-sized tree that some weird creature had picked up and was now brandishing like a club. All three of them hit the ground and avoided the collision but of them only Jasper responded by sending out a Pokemon. It was one of his new Pokemon - one that he had recently stolen from an unsuspecting Trainer. The pink hound stood on all fours and lowered it's front half slightly to the ground before growling in a threatening manner at the towering monster, hackles raised and fangs bared. Wearing - Default outfit.

OOC: In walking along the jungle floor, following along together before splitting, Calcifer and Loki were getting two different opinions on the likes of Alec and his Pokemon and how they felt about having them around. Loki was seething and fuming at how arrogant and off putting the human male was, always having to have the last word or the last comment on anything that was going on. He was snarky and down right rude, and he couldn't fathom that Demeter would want to stick around for much longer around him. If it weren't for her threat of the pistol that she had hidden in the cover she was wearing, he would have lunged from his illusion and had his way with Alec. He knew of course now they were in too deep, Thomas couldn't disappear or leave, not until they were back in some form of civilization at the very least, and he knew he couldn't compromise their position. Calcifer however, ignorning the human entirely, was rather liking the group of Pokemon that came with him. The ugly harlot with Chattot infused DNA was absolutely more than he could stand, and he wasn't too keen on the twinkle toes of a fighting type they had, but the others were manageable, and he might even consider likeable. The Roserade seemed to listen pretty well, and anyone that agreed with him was alright in his book, and of course Calcifer was always there for anyone that rubbed Loki the wrong way. Demeter wasn't going to do anything about it either much to his delight, in fact she loved it just as much when someone could really rustle Loki's fur. No one messed with him in Cipher, because everyone was either afraid of him or afraid of her, and since you never found one without the other, it was pretty sparse that Loki got what was coming to him.
Things progressed quickly as soon as Demeter had found the fallen tree and Alec had moved on towards a different path with his few Pokemon, though she couldn't quite see what he had come across. There was another stream of light coming through the canopy, and she had made to move towards him in order to start piecing things together, but as soon as the jungle trees started caving in on themselves and threatening to crush anything they landed on, Demeter made haste along with the rest of the trainers whom were caught in the path. There were splinters and shards flying in every which direction, and she knew that she was going to have to take some time to make sure she got all of them off of her or out of her skin and hair, she could feel little pricks on her skin, and maybe even a scratch or two as the vines continued to bring down tree after tree and branch after branch. There was dust and debris every where, and Demeter coughed trying to find some way to orient herself, and as the dust settled she found herself and the group of trainers staring at what was surely the anomaly within the jungle, a very tall, very big and very strong looking creature that was making its presence known. It gave an angered sound, and then there were two of them, and the trainers were covered both in front and behind.
"Calcifer, get out there," Demeter commanded, already beginning to infer that they had to be some kind of fighting species, in which Calcifer's lack of physical being might work in their favor.
"Oh sure, use the dead one for all your diversion needs," Calcifer groaned, though no sooner had he actually made any motion, the second creature from behind rushed forward through the trainers and made immediate contact with Calcifer, striking him with a bout of electricity that crackled over the dust and grass.
"Damnit," the ghost cursed, turning to take his aim and give off an attack of his own, but he watched at the fore front of all of this as the first creature had leaned down and picked up one of the longest, thickest tree banches it could, and just started swinging.
"Get down," Loki shouted, watching the tree swing through the air with no amount of hesitation or waning strength, and he and Demeter got down as fast as they could, trying to dodge the force of the swing that would have surely killed them if it made contact. Calcifer stood though, unaffected as the tree went right through him, but the stones that jetted from the ground were another story, as though the two creatures were communicating on attacking the same target.
"What the hell?! That's it," the ghost shouted, bringing up his two arms as he charged a shadow ball in his energy, and he opened fire at the brutish figure that was brandishing the tree branch like a human child with a stick, trying to at least get rid of the obstruction that was causing even more havoc around them. Alec ordered to the Machamp. Piotr wasn't happy about the turn of events, but he could clearly see the strength and the danger of these beasts, so he nodded and marched forward onto the field. Ignoring the fact he was battling with a ghost. Soon other trainers arrived, a group of three guys, and another girl who's dark clothes and hair stood out from the bright jungle surrounding her. But what stood out even more, was the golden Raikou she was riding on. This really caught his attention as his head snapped in her direction. He knew her. It was Rhienne. " Rhienne, is that you?" Alec spoke out, not really even certain it would catch her attention. But before he could really get a response, he heard the posh accent call out. Alec quickly jerked to look forward, hearing the urgency in the male's voice. He looked to see the beast having a massive tree in his arms. An entire tree. He was swinging it like a bat, trying to clean sweep the entire field. Alec grunted as he threw himself backwards. He folded at the knees, allowing him to drop flat on his back without knocking the air out of himself. Spade dove forwards, holding his head with his flowered hands. As Weezing let out a cry as he lifted into the air, while Harley began to scream, as she dropped straight down into the splits and folded forward to dodge the tree. This is where the team's luck ran out. Tamora knew she couldn't run or drop fast enough, knowing she'd get struck in the side, or hit her head if she tried either. So she tried to form a barrier around herself to keep herself safe and maybe stop the attack. However Piotr had plenty of time to dug, but decided to try and show these beasts they weren't the only muscles on the field. He turned his body, holding out his four arms. He was going to try and catch and stop the tree so it didn't injure anyone else. However, these beasts were much stronger then the Machamp. His arms did grab onto the tree trunk, but it didn't stop it. The trunk slammed into Piotr with a loud thump, and pulled him with it. Soon after, it almost immediately shattered the Gardevoir's barrier on impact, sweeping her away easily as well. The attack hit them hard, and sent both Machamp and Gardevoir soaring into the air, and over the tree lines. Alec was watching to make sure the other didn't try to attack the same way, and watched as Piotr and Tamora were knocked into the sky. They were sent far out of view as he quickly stood up, still covered in splintered wood, watching wide eyed at the place where his Pokemon were just grand slammed. " Holy shit" Alec called out. "That is not good" Alec finished quickly turning back to the beasts. "That can't be good.." Weezing spoke floating backwards. Soon after the beasts began to focus in on Vanessa's Gengar, sending the earth upwards, at him, and electrocuting him. " Strength won't win us anything, clearly, Weezing get out there and try and poison it." Alec called out. Weezing gave a skeptical look, but Alec glared at him, pointing him in the direction of the beast. Weezing turned, moving forward, and began to weeze, sending out a volley of sludge at the Buzzwole. Rhienne knew Nara had incredible, unmatchable speed, and surely could have had them on the next island in a matter of moments if she wanted to, but with Wattson just behind them, knocking away branches and other larger obstructions, the small trio came out relatively unscathed as the sound of splintering wood came to a calm. There were left over sounds of branches giving way to being disturbed, vines snapping when the weight became too much, and the ocassional left over thud of a branch hitting the ground, but other than that there was nothing left but dust that wafted through the air, causing Rhienne to cough. She was still weak in her exertion of energy, but gaining her strength back every moment she rested on Nara's back, but that didn't make her any less a part of what was happening in the cause she had come to help.
"Wattson are you alright," Nara growled, standing firm on her four broad legs as she looked to the steel type whom was brushing dirt and dust from his blue fur.
"It's a little too early to be asking that, don't you think," the Lucario returned, though no sooner had he uttered those words than did he feel that presence again, his fur standing up on end as an eerie hush fell over the group of trainers that they had gathered with. They were all turned and staring in one direction, up towards the pile of tree trunks that laid waste to the jungle, for standing on top of it was clearly what was meant to be their opposition here in this place. It was a menacing creature, it almost made Rhienne think of a Pinsir, just something entirely too aggressive and capable of causing a lot of harm through physical violence, and she wasn't far off with how strong it looked to be. It was hulking really, standing taller than any species of fighting type she had seen, and being from another dimension entirely, it could be just as strong, or even stronger.
"It would have been nice to know that we weren't going to be fighting the same species as before," Rhienne murmmered atop Nara's back, looking on through her glasses. The beast buzzed in a low thundering tone, flexing the orange wings on its back, and through the trees that still remained standing behind them, there was another of the same creature that stepped forward, and they were pretty much surrounded now.
"They move fast, and they're incredibly strong.... That's all we know so far," Nara hissed at watching the other emerge from the trees, trying to get as much of a grasp on what it was they were capable of, and she was right as the one from the trees rushed across the ground, and she did well to move out of the way as fast as she could as the beast struck a red Gengar in the middle of the group. It came to meet its counter part in front of the pile of trees, but they couldn't have fathomed what action they would take next as they watched the first turn and grab a hefty and long tree trunk from the pile it made.
"Oh no," Wattson glowered, but something else caught Rhienne's attention in that moment, the sound of her name? She didn't know anyone out here, she hadn't seen anyone she recognized, and it certainly wasn't from Skylar, Absolem would have told her he'd tried to come along. She looked around through her glasses, then caught the sight of a figure she then did find familiar, standing next to a Machamp and an oddly colored Roserade. It was Alec, the guy she'd met in Johto a while back, and had gone to that fair with. She had just about forgotten about him, hadn't really had any reason to go looking for him since they'd met, but she couldn't say that it wasn't some kind of comforting to see a familiar face. She didn't have time to react though, she felt Nara tense beneath her and then there was wide spread panic as the creature had begun to swing the tree trunk as though it were a hockey stick. It started on the other side of the group and went fast, plowing through and over anything that stood in its way, and Rhienne and Wattson both watched as Alec's Machamp tried to stop the trunk in its tracks, but ended up vaulted throug the air along with some strange looking Pokemon, and well over the tree line.
"Keep your distance," Nara growled then, knowing Wattson might have tried something similar then, and the Lucario ducked under the trunk as Nara lofted into the air on her powerful legs, dodging and jumping over the dense tree trunk. The destruction path was vast with how long the trunk was, it was too dangerous to try and run from in knowing it would come back around, and sure enough Nara had to jump again to avoid getting hit, narrowly missing the trunk with her back paws.
"This has to stop," Wattson growled between his fangs, standing then as soon as he had a clear chance and held a pulsing energy in his paws before firing at the creature that was paving the clearing even wider within the jungle, trying to get it to cease its assault on them all. gravity_resistant White Prince Of WonderlandIn the middle of the jungle, there was a sizeable clearing now with the destruction that the two creatures were causing, trees knocked over and plants effectively crushed. The large arthropods stood together at the head of the destruction, and despite the attacks that came their way, they still stood strong, just as one could expect from their appearance. The one brandishing the tree trunk had not wavered in its assault once, never having to stop and put down the tree trunk or pause to take a rest. Its pace was relentless and merciless as it swung and tried to take down anything that was going to come its way, withstanding the attacks that had been thrown at it. Its feet remained steadfast in the earth, not moving even an inch at each volley that tried to knock it down, clearly showing that these creatures were not easily trifled with, and would take enormous effort to belay. There was a strange looking floating orb that had come out onto the battle field amongst the other peculiar shapes and beings, and it struck the second creature with a mass of black gunk that covered its chest. Almost aghast at this, the floating orb became the next target it wanted to ensue its anguish and power upon as it rushed forward with a deep aggressive buzz. It thrust itself upward only enough to come well above the floating being and came down hard with a fist in an attempt to knock it into the ground, and that was followed by the tossing aside of the tree trunk as the other creature shook the very ground beneath its feet to attack the same target with an onslaught of jetting rocks. The second creature that had rushed forward first seemed to still be entirely upset at what had happened and the attack that it had received as it turned back on its four legs and lunged at a tree trunk of its choice, picking it up with little effort and holding it straight up into the air. Following suit with its own kind, the other creature too picked up another tree trunk just as easily as it had the last, holding it straight up into the air as well, and then in unison they both brought their tree trunks down upon the earth with a great thud that shook the ground, capable of crushing anything that might have been underneath. If they couldn't knock away the threats that had come to them, then they were going to crush them as the tree trunks rose from the ground and up into the air again, coming back down with another mighty thud, and this continued now in their new assault trying to rid themselves of the attackers that had come upon them. "Pink?" Was the first word that came out of his mouth. He did not recognize the Pokemon, but he was going to give it the chance to hit these things where it hurt. He couldn't tell if it was for respect for him, or their fear of the situation, or both, but Rex and Lucky did not make fun of his new Pokemon. For the moment, neither of the Ultra Beasts were focused on him or his Pokemon. They were too busy trying to beat back the other Pokemon who were bothering them. Whatever their motivation was, they weren't here to make friends. "Mess that thing up!" He demanded. The mutt dug it's rear paws into the ground as it pushed off, running first up the stack of trees and then jumping straight into the air. It's teeth clamped down on one muscular forearm. Little did he know that Bulldog-breeds were well known for not letting go once they had a grip. On top of that, flame erupted around it's teeth. It was as if the dog had breathed a jet of fire point-blank against the localized bit of flesh in Granbull's mouth. TL;DR Granbull used Fire Fang (-110 on Buzzwhole 2) Wearing - Default outfit.

OOC: Narrowly missing the first swing of the tree trunk that the creature was starting to level the jungle with, Demeter and Loki had thrusted themselves towards the ground in order to avoid taking such a devastating blow. The trunk rushed over them, blowing wind through Demeter's hair and Loki's fur as she watched it move over them, and just to the side she caught sight of Alec following suit, trying to avoid getting struck too. His Pokemon made the same effort, all except for that strange looking one and the Machamp that stood its ground and held out all four arms. That was a good idea, something to stop the attack from doing too much more damage, but Demeter and Loki both watched in what was probably shock with a bit of distraught thrown in for good measure as the trunk didn't even stop for a moment before taking the Machamp with it and the weird looking Pokemon, knocking them into the air and well over the tree line.
"Now that's an interesting development," Loki breathed, understanding then that the fight did just get a lot more interesting in knowing how strong these things actually were.
"You're telling me? These things aren't even flinching," Calcifer grimmaced as he had made his strike, and plenty of other Pokemon followed suit, and the trunk swinging over them didn't falter in the least as the trainers and Pokemon continued to have to watch out for it. They couldn't move or get up to fight back without getting struck and knocked away just like Alec's Machamp, that would be a devastating blow to anything else that wasn't as strong as the fighting type was.
"Calcifer! You're the only one who can do anything right now, get in there," Demeter called, bracing herself as the trunk swung over them again in hopes that it wouldn't go any lower, she wouldn't be able to go anywhere to avoid getting struck.
"What do you want me to do? I hit it and nothing happened," the ghost demanded, wanting to know what Demeter was trying to get at as the trunk went through him again, and he was getting rather tired of the object phasing through him.
"Distract it then, draw its attention, anything," Loki hissed, hardly able to comprehend Calcifer's incompetence at times, especially when it was rather dire. Demeter and Loki could only sit there and yell at him, but with one last pass of the trunk over their heads, there was a clamoring thud as the creature tossed the tree trunk to the side, ending its assault on them finally. It seemed though that it only took a break in its assault to lay waste to another target of its choosing, the Weezing that Alec had out that tried to douse the creatures in the poison it produced. Demeter and Loki too what opportunity they could and quickly got up from the ground in order to avoid and backlash, and one of the creatures rushed forward towards Weezing with an extended fist and a brutal punch. Then the same attack of jetting and jagged rocks followed, the same that attacked Calcifer, and then they began to converge again. Quickly one of them grabbed for another tree trunk, and Demeter and Loki readied themselves to get on the ground again, but it lifted the entire girth of the trunk straight up into the air, towering over all of them. Another tree trunk followed, held by the second creature, and they looked up with distress and concern.
"Did you have this in mind when you so avidly volunteered us for this effort," Loki scowled just as the two trunks started to come down upon them all, and Demeter and Loki rushed to get out of the way, only to trip and fall to the ground as the trunks struck the earth and shook the very ground beneath their feet, only rising back up into the air.
"Man, you guys just can't catch a break," Calcifer almost snickered, knowing that Demeter and Loki were going to have to play whack a mole now essentially to avoid getting crushed as he turned back his attention towards the two creatures.
"Guess I'll have to do all the hard work here," the ghost went on, taking up another shadow ball in his hands to strike as the trunks came down upon the ground again. Calcifer | Lv. 70 | HP 580 | Ability: Shadow Tag | Holding: Gengarite

The Pokemon and trainers they had traveled here with struck the creatures and did everything they could without being struck down like Alec's Machamp, but it didn't seem to phase them at all as the trunk still swung over them in their assault. Nara was trying to keep pace with jumping over the trunk as it swung back and forth, knowing she could not get low enough to the ground to avoid being struck by it should she try to avoid it another way, but as it passed by once more, her back foot didn't quite make it. The bark of the trunk struck her back leg as it swept under her, and that threw both her and Rhienne to the ground with a heavy thud as the tiger landed on her side. Nara grunted at hitting the ground with her shoulder and side, but Rhienne shouted in pain as Nara's weight landed on her leg that had been dd over her side. She waited though, knowing she couldn't bid the tiger up from the ground unless she wanted to see her struck like Alec's valiant fighting type, but to both of their relief the trunk was tossed to the side, giving them a moment of reprieve.
"Rhienne, are you alright," came Wattson's voice first, and Nara moved as swiftly as she could from the ground to remove herself from Rhienne's leg. Rhienne grit her teethe together as the pressure was removed from her leg, and she found her shoulder and side throbbing at hitting the ground like she had, but otherwise she was unharmed to say the least.
"Can you move, I didn't mean for this to happen," Nara breathed then, leaning down and sniffing at Rhienne, having not had the chance or the opening to manuever herself away from Rhienne in that moment as they fell towards the ground, and she cursed herself for knowing that she was going to land with her weight on her trainer somehow. Rhienne breathed heavily there on the ground, but she looked up to her two Pokemon through her glasses. She made sure that her arm was alright for landing on it the way that she did, but she hesitated when she thought of her leg that lay outstretched on the ground. She tried to move it, wiggle her toes first within her shoes at the very least, and didn't find any disconnect there. The battle waged on around them though, the two creatures were targeting a Weezing that was out on the field with them just like they had that Gengar before, and it was a brutal and relentless attack. Rhienne was trying to gauge if her leg was broken, or was just going to be severely bruised and sore, but the fight was shifting again as the two creatures picked up a trunk each now and held them up in the air.
"We have to move now," Wattson urged, moving forward and picking Rhienne off the ground, and she huffed and held in a sort of shout at the sudden motion of her leg as she grit her teeth together, but she moved herself into Wattson's arms quickly as the two tree trunks came down upon the ground. Nara and Wattson moved swiftly, missing the trunks that came down on the ground with a heavy, ground shaking thud each, and moving off to the side. It seemed though that they were going to be just as relentless as before as the trunks were lifted into the air again, threatening to come back down, and Wattson knew that they had to stop this in any way that they could.
"Take her," Wattson told Nara, and the tiger leaned down for Wattson to put Rhienne on her back, moving forward then with a pulsing energy held between his paws to attack, having watched the effort strike in vain before, but nothing was impervious or invincible or even immortal, these things had to start wearing down at some point, and he was going to see to it that they did as he struck with his power. Alec turned his attention once again back to the beasts, just in time for them to begin their assault, just like they had Vanessa's Gengar. Double teaming him. One beast slammed it's muscular fist into the Weezing, sending him slamming him into the ground with a large puff of smoke. Only for the other to grab the ground and literally split it with it's strength and send Weezing into the air. Alec watched, gritting his teeth, as Weezing was flung into the air, and fell back to the ground. The ball of poison seemed to have a dent in one of his heads as he slowly popped it back out refilling with gas. He lifted into the air slowly letting out groans as he did. He seemed to waver in the air, but he was still conscious. " Okay, Weezing, Lets go for more of a direct attack. Coat them both in Poisonous Gas." Alec called out. Weezing slowly but surely moved forward and began to emit a grayish green gas, almost like a smoke machine, and filled the area around the beasts. However, it would seem that the Beasts weren't finished with them yet. Both muscular beasts lifted more trees and began to slam them back down on the ground, aiming for them. They were no longer sweeping across the field, they were directly aiming for them. Alec stood ready, watching for the beasts to target him or his Pokemon. He was sure Spade was nimble enough to dodge, but Weezing was a worry for him. The poison type bobbed and weaved the best he could. Mean while Spade was diving left and right, trying to avoid the tree. Now wishing he had fled with Harley. Mostly having to tuck and roll with each dodge. While Alec was doing better, watching the muscles of the beasts to determine where they were going to slam the tree down next. watching them flex one side before the other to see where it would go. He watched as one of the beasts were going to shift towards Vanessa. Alec glanced, as she clearly wasn't looking now that Thomas and her were getting back to their feet. Now, had this been anyone else at the festival, Rhienne aside... Alec would have almost enjoyed watching them get smashed flat. But Vanessa was nice to look at, and he still intended on getting to know her and steal from her. He couldn't have her go and die yet. " Move!" gravity_resistant White Prince Of WonderlandThe assault was relentless, the two creatures were wanting to rid themselves of the intruders that had happened upon them in the jungle, and they were going to take care of it by any means necessary. They continued to raise the trunks into the air and come down upon the ground, striking anything that they could catch in their path, and still their strength went unmatched in every action that they took. The trees that they brandished would sooner break than they would relent or tire from their actions, and even the attacks that they took did not stop them in their destruction. They kept the trunks steady in their arms with each strike upon the ground, following the scrambling figures that tried to dodge each blow, and it seemed that they only began to get more frustrated at each missed attempt in ridding themselves of the intrusive anomalies that had found them. There were only a few more strikes before they tossed the trunks aside, deciding to go for an even more offensive, and personal attack against those who were trying to hurt them, one of them having to fling a strange growling form that had clung on to its arm. The trunks landed with a heavy thud against the ground, taking more trees with them, and the wings on the arthropods lifted and began to buzz as the looked forward towards the bunch of trainers and Pokemon. The decided to split their efforts, trying to do more damage this time around as they rushed over the ground towards their chosen targets. They each held an extended fist each, already a staple of their chosen brutality, and split through the group to strike at an incredible speed and force. One struck the strange floating orb that had attacked them before with an icy energy that coated it in frost, and the other brutaly struck a bipedal figure with fur and a tail towards the ground to keep it out of the way. They came back together, and the two creatures didn't seem satisfied with the number of adversaries that still stood before them. They buzzed with their wings and lunged into the air, and came down hard upon the ground with an extended fist each. They struck the ground hard beneath them and the very earth beneath them cracked and shook with a rumble that moved through the jungle floor. It was unsettling, and there was uncertainty on what it was they had set out to do, until one by one thick, jagged rocks began to jet up from the ground and strike each and every target they caught sight of. Nothing was safe, anything that stood on the ground was a target of their assault, wanting to send anything they struck flying into the air to disorient and strike them down to end the fight. UNTIL THE DAY I DIE Granbull thought it had a good grip on that thing's arm but boy were they strong. It simply flung him off - right into the branches of a tree! He was holding onto a large branch with his front paws, scramblling with his back paws to get onto it. When he finally managed it he had to stop for a breather - that had been a close call and he nearly had a bad fall. As the hound struggled to regain his senses, he was well hidden enough to avoid the next wave of attacks from those monsters. Jasper was looking up at it, trying to decide whether he was still fit for battle or not. Granbull readied himself and then jumped out of the tree, right onto the beast. This time, he bit down on the shoulder close to the beast's neck and used the same fire-attack right to it's body. TL;DR Granbull used Fire Fang (-110 on Buzzwhole 1) Wearing - Default outfit.

Through her scuffed and scratched glasses she glanced down at her leg, and while Nara’s weight in that moment had cause her leg to go numb it seemed with the lack of blood flow that could get to the limb, she was rather thankful for that for the moment. A series of long scs and deep scratches shown on her pale skin, and it was no question as to why with how debris riddled the ground was with the destruction the two creatures were causing. She was covered in wood splinters and mud and dirt, and still sweating with the moisture that the air carried despite the enormous tear the two beasts had made in the jungle’s canopy, and over all she almost cursed herself for putting her and her Pokemon in a situation like this again. Venturing into the unknown was always dangerous, and to willingly do it, like she had willingly gone after those glitches both times Bill called for aide, she felt rather foolish for it now.
Beneath her, Nara hissed and roared at the attack of the tree trunks as they came slamming down to the ground over and over again, and it seemed they were following targets, trying to catch anything that they could in their path to crush them as Nara had to lunge out of the way of one of the trunks coming down from the air. Still it didn’t seem like they were weakening, they didn’t waver in their assault and certainly didn’t seem to have any intention of putting the tree trunks down and ending the violence.
”What are we supposed to do? We can’t get close enough to them to do anything,” Rhienne called out to her two Pokemon, really unsure of what it was they were expected to do. If holding a tree trunk and swinging it was enough to knock a Machamp well over the tree line, and further still since the fighting type still hadn’t lumbered back into the battle, Rhienne didn’t want to know what an up close and personal strike would be like, it would probably be devastating. Just then though, after one final strike each from the tree trunks, they too were tossed aside, but it didn’t seem to be for anything good. The two beasts buzzed aggressively, and Rhienne could assume it was either out of anger or frustration, probably both, but they still didn’t show any signs of weakening in order for them to put a stop to this struggle. Wattson however moved swiftly to Rhienne’s side as Nara stood strong and tall on the ruined jungle floor, and he seemed to think a bit differently in regards to the beast’s actions. Just then though, the two beasts rushed forward and came in for a physical assault, and they were just as quick as they were tenacious. Nara barely had a moment to spare as she caught motion with her sharp red eyes, and she snarled as one of the beasts came towards them. Wattson rushed though to take on any blow it might inflict, and he did take a devastating blow to his chest that he just couldn’t block despite holding up his steel clad paws. The strike was enough to send him flying past Rhienne and Nara and into a still standing tree, and the trunk cracked and trembled at the force of the impact, and some of the roots came up from the ground. Wattson’s figure slumped against the rough bark of the tree trunk then, leaving Rhienne and Nara exposed to the beasts that threatened them all, and it seemed that the threat was really very real as the two creatures lunged into the air on buzzing wings and came down towards the ground. They each struck the ground with a heavy fist, and the blow was certainly powerful as the very ground beneath their feet began to rumble and shake as sharp jagged rocks began to protrude from the ground, striking down anything that stand in their path. It was chaotic, and there was no telling where the next strike was going to be as they rushed through the ground like a wave, and Nara roared at the ground beginning to crumble beneath her paws, but just as a large protruding rock jetted up from the ground that certainly would have thrust right into Nara’s figure, it burst into rubble and dust as Wattson took the blow, striking it with his paws. He heaved a breath, taking a knee for only a moment before he looked up to Nara and Rhienne, having had to think quickly in that moment that he had been thrust into the tree.
”Everything handles weakness differently, I don’t think this is invincibility, but desperation. They’re getting more aggressive with their attacks, they must be waning,” Wattson coughed, holding his chest for a moment as he tried to breathe still through the heavy blow he had taken from the beast that struck him.
”So what do we do with that,” Nara growled then, watching the rocks take over the jungle floor around them as the two beasts stood before them now.
”I’m going to strike, this is my chance to get in close. If you see an opening, use that device the professor issued us,” Wattson huffed, though he didn’t give anything a second thought as he did in fact see his opening, and he rushed forward towards one of the beasts and turned swiftly, striking with an iron clad tail. The beast buckled at the force of the blow and came down towards the ground, and Rhienne did see her opportunity, just like when they were all trying to capture the Missingno that had threatened them. With every bit of force that she had, despite the throbbing of her muscles, Rhienne threw the device that the Professor Burnet had given them towards the creature that Wattson struck, hoping to seize even just one of these beasts to quell the fighting, and to all of their shock, it was actually forced into the device. OOC: Tripping over the force of impact from the trunks hitting the ground, Loki and Demeter both fell into the dirt and debris that covered the ground as they grunted at hitting the ground, laying there for only a moment before attempting to get up. Loki grit his fangs together through the illusion he held, getting rather tired of the situation as a whole, he had not considered that an intel and containment mission would have ended up like this, though he supposed that had a lot to do with the ‘comrades’ they were stuck with. Typically on any one mission, he and Demeter were in charge and were able to call the shots, and they had their team of operatives that were trained to handle difficult situations like this, they at least knew what kind of hand they were going to have going into any given scenario, but now they were all wild cards.
”This is madness, no one knows how to function here,” Loki seethed, looking up and watching the others who either stood idly and did nothing, or were too frantic to keep their actions straight. Demeter had a few choice words on whom her compatriots were in such dire circumstances as well, but as she stood with Loki beside her to make sure they could keep their footing in the battle, she only heard a shout around her before she had the wind knocked out of her at something rushing into her and knocking her off to the side. Loki’s fur bristled and he snarled at the sudden movement of Demeter being taken away from him, but he heard the creaking sound of wood coming through the air, and his senses filled with imminent danger as he lunged out of the way in time for the trunk of the tree to come bearing down upon the ground. Off to the side, Demeter grunted and gritted her teeth together at hitting the ground and rolling, and having some foreign weight on top of her in those moments that was really quite heavy, though she eventually came to a stop. She coughed in that moment, having felt her breath leave her at being forced in another direction, but as the trunk of the tree lifted from the ground, right in the exact spot she had been standing, she realized that could have very well been her. Calcifer wasn’t paying attention, and Loki was nowhere to be seen and wouldn’t have had the reaction time to get her out of there it seemed, and she cursed them and herself for the trivial position she had ended up in. That left one matter still unattended to in her swirling thoughts and she coughed again at the feeling of something moving beneath her, she was on top of and had landed on something that wasn’t the ground. She looked down, finding the whole happenstance confusing since it had happened in a matter of seconds, but Alec was beneath her, the one who had knocked her out of the way. In that stunned moment, Loki knew the brutes weren’t as stupid as they were strong, and were bound to target Demeter and the human male again as vulnerable targets on the ground, so despite his better interest against the male whom he couldn’t accept saving Demeter so valiantly souly for the good of a spared life, he still shrouded them in illusion to allow Demeter a moment to gain her bearings. That done, the tree trunks continued to come down on the ground with the others who were still trying to attack, but Demeter knew she was guarded as she looked down to Alec.
”I didn’t peg you for the hero type,” she coughed again, starting to move from being sprawled out on top of his chest, though she winced only a little at the pain she felt in her shoulders upon making impact with the ground in his tackle and bracing her body against it. There was little that Demeter knew about Alec still, having only just met him, but already she had noticed that he had a rather ‘every man for himself’ mindset, particularly when it came to his Pokemon that he had with him. That didn’t take away from his action though in more or less saving her life, and she did have to give credit where credit was due.
”Looks like those muscles of yours look as good as they are functional. Thanks for the save,” she offered, patting him on the chest with a soft open hand as she stood up, offering a hand to help him up. She wasn’t a damsel, and it wasn’t as though she felt her heart flutter at the notion that prince charming was there to save the day, but she was genuine enough to give thanks, which was plenty more than she could offer either Loki or Calcifer at the moment.
”Right, if we’re done fawning over your handsome prince Vanessa, we have a fight to get back to,” Loki sneered in a stab at Demeter as he came up towards them still in Thomas’ guise, letting go of his shrouded illusion so as not to draw any suspicion. They were open and exposed again, but it seemed the tree trunk assault was over as they were tossed to the side, and the creatures rushed forward to attack directly within their forces, targeting Alec’s Weezing in the mix. Loki prepared himself, and Calcifer appeared beside them, looking up to Demeter pointedly.
”So if you’re done, what the hell are we supposed to do with these things? Nothing is working,” the ghost chided, annoyed at Demeter’s human female antics, he never understood the dynamics between male and female humans. Coming back to the main focus, Demeter looked towards the two creatures that had come back together at the head of their destructive path they’d made through the jungle.
”They have to be weakening, they can’t be invincible,” Demeter stated, trying to think of the best course of action, but it seemed they still weren’t out of the fight yet as the two beasts jumped into the air and came down upon the ground with extended fists, and the ground immediately rumbled and began to quake at the force of the impact.
”Man, you guys are just SOL with all of this, huh,” Calcifer groaned as rocks began to jet up from the ground, protruding and threatening to skewer anything that they came into contact with.
”So do something about it you nit,” Loki cursed, turning with Demeter then to try and figure out how to get out of the mine field that the beasts had turned the jungle floor into. The rocks were coming fast, they were unpredictable and sporadic, but no less dangerous as Demeter began to run from the quaking ground beneath her feet, and Calcifer groaned at the helplessness that came with being among the living as he disappeared from where he stood. Demeter and Loki were engulfed in shadow for only a moment as a series of jagged rocks shot up from the ground where they’d stood. The wave moved past them and from those shadows Calcifer relinquished Demeter and Loki back into the physical plane.
”Arceus, you are helpless,” Calcifer chided as they turned back to face the battle and the creatures that opposed them. There was no telling what they planned to do next in trying to cause as much destruction as they could, but Demeter was surprised to see a Mega Lucario rushing out towards them, and it struck a heavy blow, but what was even more surprising was the beast’s reaction. There was no retaliation, and no aggression, instead it buckled and fell under the force of the attack, and then one of those devices flew through the air towards the fallen creature, and when it made contact, it actually drew the beast in.
”They can be weakened, the professor actually holds some credibility to her words,” Loki breathed then, finally seeing an end to the fight.
”Calcifer,” Demeter commanded, though she could barely get in just his name before the ghost turned back to her.
”I know! I know,” he leered, turning his attention back towards the remaining beast, and utilizing his psychic abilities he raised his arms and pushed a thick, heavy wave of energy at the beast, trying to knock it down in the same manner. Can't let that go to waste." He added. But before their conversation could continue any further, Thomas butted in ruining the mood and conversation. Alec's eyes flicked to the posh male, his charming smile fading then shifting to a grin after he called him 'handsome.' " I'm flattered you think I'm handsome, but I don't swing that way." Alec joked, starting to get annoyed with the posh male. " However, We have a fight to get back into. You can got back to sitting on the sidelines." Alec commented as he turned back towards the battle at hand, luckily for them, the tree trunk assault was at it's end. Alec still had no idea Thomas was an illusioned Zoroark, nor did his Pokemon. Granted Hunting could see through it, but he didn't care in the slightest. Alec just assumed he was a posh little Brit that was rich from family money. He made his way back over to Spade, who was visually less then pleased at his decision. Spade's life would be so much more calm without Alec in his life, but the fact that he risked his life for a pretty girl was stupid. The flower glared at him, jabbing him with a poisonous barb. Naturally this did nothing to him, but the stab still caused him to wince in pain. " Stop that." Alec demanded as they both turned to face the Beasts. They had been communicating, to which Alec couldn't understand so he wasn't that worried, but these Pokemon sprung to life and began to attack. The Ultra Beast flew forward and with one swift punch it punched Weezing and sent him barreling backwards, leaving a trail of smoke as he rocketed backwards. The flying Weezing was knocked back so quick, Alec couldn't react in time, as the poison type slammed square into his chest. This caused him to get knocked off his feet and land flat on his back with a loud grunt. Alec let out a groan as he pushed the poisonous ball off of him, and rolled over trying to take a deep breath. Weezing did have almost a rubbery texture, and wasn't hard, but at the speed it hit him, it knocked the breath out of him and his sharp landing only made it worse. The landing with Vanessa was nothing compared to this. He remained on his hands and knees for a moment as he was trying to get his breathing back into order. He began to get up, just in time for Spade to start to grab at him but it was too late. He looked back to the Beast as their punches hit the ground and sent out the attack. The ground began to jet out in all directions. Alec had no time to react, and even if we did, there wasn't much he could do. The earth beneath him shifted as the ground jetted out under his feet, forcing him forward. Alec flipped in the air, and quickly used his long legs to try and orient himself like he would have in the circus. Alec managed to get one foot on the ground, but he continued forward and landed on his stomach. Spade moved, trying to dodge the attacks, but wasn't quick enough and was launched across the area, over Alec and into a near by tree. Alec let out a huff of anger as he pushed himself onto his feet, and looked around. He was making sure he didn't need to dodge any more attacks. He had seen Vanessa's ball of shadows, which he only wish Hellsing had helped with. Rhienne appeared to be fine a top of her Raikou, and her Pokemon seemed to adjust fine. As the three guys with the granbull seemed to have gotten out unscathed. All three... That annoyed Alec, He was the only one that had been hurt. He returned Weezing, and moved forward to let out another Pokemon. But Rhienne seemed to act quick, striking one of the Beasts and then used the weird Pokeball that the professor gave them. Alec had forgotten he had it. As one disappeared, Alec was sure it was time. He knew Spade would attack it to distract it, but Vanessa's Gengar was already on it. Alec reached into his pack, and pulled out the device. He stepped forward again, eyeing the distance, and hurled the ball as hard as he could. As a knife thrower he was confident that he would hit his mark. He did, the muscle beast was hit square between it's long pointed nose and it's antenna, and in a flash of light it was captured. The ball fell on the ground, and stayed there. " Spade, grab it." Alec told him, and with a vine, Spade picked up the ball and swiftly pushed it into Alec's hands, not wanting to hold the ball for long, just in case it punched it's way out. Alec kept a tight grip on it, but looked it over cautiously. gravity_resistant White Prince Of WonderlandLooking at the expansive jungle that Alola was known for above, it would almost appear as though a giant tear was made in the fabric that was the thick canopy of trees, the destruction caused by the Ultra Beasts that had emerged. Hundreds of square feet of splintered trees, trampled and crushed bushes and flowers, and sunlight marred the once peaceful landscape that had taken decades to grow, and it would take decades longer for this wound to heal. The environment would never be the same from the disruption caused, the sunlight would start to kill the remaining flowers and bushes that came into contact with it, and the moisture that the canopy of trees held in to sustain its own ecosystem would no longer keep this part of the jungle alive, but this all would be only a portion of the price to pay should the Ultra Beasts have made an even bigger pathway in their destruction.Trainers who defeated the Buzzwole have received:

Due to the devices developed by the Dimensional Research Laboratory for the Alola Region, the two Ultra Beasts were contained and the destruction ceased, and quiet returned to the deep jungle, but that was soon lost on rushing footsteps and the sound of voices that were heading directly towards the center of the destruction. A small group of individuals came through the remaining trees then, technology and scanners in hand just as the Dimensional Reasearch technicians, but they did not wear the same uniforms or brandish the same technologies, but were very intent on what had happened all the same. They were dressed in all white with accents of gold on their uniforms, and were much more conservative than the active wear the technicians in Hau'Oli City had been wearing, and over all they seemed to be just a bit more organized as they started to scan the scene that the Ultra Beasts had made. They were careful in climbing over tree trunks and detailing the splintered breaks on the trees that were knocked over, and one of them moved forward to meet the group that had so valiantly contained the Ultra Beasts.
"You must be the trainers and volunteers who got caught up in the attack on Hau'Oli City," he began, a tall, young looking man with brown hair that came out from under a hat he was wearing, and he had that same darkened skin that most local Alolans did from growing up on the islands. His tone was kind and appreciative, but he was nothing short of professional as he stood straight before them in his regard.
"My name is Mason, and on behalf of the Dimensional Research Laboratory and the Aether Foundation, we appreciate your assistance with what has taken place here," he greeted, though the name of the other organization that he listed was not quite familiar.
"Because of the size and potential threat of the anomalies that are taking place all over the region, the Dimensional Research Laboratory has contacted us for our assistance in trying to maintain the delicate environment of the Alola Region. I am a lead for the Aether Foundation, a conservation and preservation organization located here within the region," he explained, knowing that there were bound to be questions and he felt best to answer them now as his technicians continued to survey and scan the area, taking down any piece of data or otherwise that they could obtain.
"Alola is such a unique and intricate region with all of its splendor that we pride ourselves in doing everything that we can to maintain the delicate balance of the ecosystems here. You all have done great work in helping us with that effort, and we can't thank you enough," he continued, though took a moment to take down some notations on an electronic pad that he had in front of him.
"What you encountered here in the jungle were a species of Ultra Beast referred to as Buzzwole. As you can tell it is a brutish species capable of incredible and unimaginable feats of strength and durability, but like all living things, even it has its limits," he informed, handing off a smaller piece of technology to a female tech who came by him, and he took another note down on his tablet before looking back to the group of gathered trainers and their Pokemon.
"I see that the Beast Balls developed by the Dimensional Research Lab had done well in containing the two anomalies, and that is certainly a piece of good news for our combined efforts. We thank you again for your involvement, and as Professor Burnet stated, we will be taking the Ultra Beasts now as we calculate when another Dimensional Rift might open so that we can return these beings to their proper environments," Mason thanked, and two lab techs moved forward towards the two trainers whom held the active Beast Balls.
"Sir, we're getting more elaborate readings from Poni Island, we don't have much more time before the next rift appears. We're expecting the anomaly to occur on the southeastern side of the island," a lab tech spoke in a bit of haste as they moved up towards Mason whom was still regarding the trainers before him, but it seemed that his time was going to be cut short a bit.
"Yes, thank you, we'll make our way there," he spoke for the lab tech before turning his full attention back to the group of trainers, offering a smile.
"Thank you again for your efforts here, but I must be off now with my division. Please, if you'd like, my remaining team here would be so greatful for some help gathering data and samples from the jungle here if you'd like to assist. I'm sure Professor Burnet would appreciate the help just as much, any amount of information that we can get about these anomalies is invaluable," Mason thanked once more before starting to leave with most of the technicians that he had arrived with, leaving the group of trainers in the middle of the fallen jungle.- The next point in the event is in the Poni Plains on Poni Island - For sake of traveling during the event, and only for the event, we are allowing all open forms of travel without an HM being necessary i.e; Teleportation, Pokemon on the flying list, partnering with another character, ect. - Please let us know in the "Alola Hidden Legends! Jasper, Rex, and Lucky gathered themselves among the fallen trees that sat like the setup to some Titan's bonfire and gathered their whits about them. Granbull seemed to be alright all things considered, so Jasper returned the pink mutt without so much as a 'thanks'. Honestly the fact that it had avoided a scolding was the closest thing to a compliment Jasper was liable to give out. His attention was diverted when a crowd of nerds swarmed the area doing their nerd-shit and talking their nerd-lingo.
"You 'appreciate our assistance'." He mocked in a falsely high imitation of the guy named Mason. He glared at the Research-Dude, having to use all of his self restraint not to stride over and knock that stupid smug expression off of the guy's face. "We just did your damn job for you, and you 'appreciate our assistance' and want us to help get you your stupid readings?!. Well fuck us, right! You could at least let us keep the fuckin' Pokemon we caught." He snapped, carefully glossing over the fact that he hadn't actually caught one of the beasts himself in an attempt to make himself seem more important than he was. By the time he said all this, the nerds who were leaving were already walking off the way they had come through the forest and were pretending not to hear him.
He glanced at Rhienne, who had helped him get here in the first place. In an attempt to play nice, he sighed and said; "Unbelievable, am I right?!" Hopefully she wouldn't judge him too harshly on his outburst, as it had appeared like he was sticking up for the others in the forest who had fought those things with him. Despite the entire outburst being an act he had an ulterior motive in being such a swell stand-up guy. "Will you help us get to the Poni Plains?" Obviously whoever was in charge knew something was about to go down there. He wanted to get there, but mostly so he could bring up his grievances against whoever was in charge of this freakin' circus and knock their head off for using him. Nobody used him, he was the one who used others and it infuriated him. Wearing - Default outfit.

There was only one beast left among them, and Demeter had every intention to see the end of this fight despite what the creatures had done and the war they waged on them and the jungle around them. At this point, she was mostly participating as avidly as she was to gain intel and knowledge on the events that were occurring now over the region of Alola, it was unprecedented and she was confident to say that she was the only one in her organization that now knew of the existence of these interdimensional beings. However, there was a smaller part that held a personal vendetta against the Ultra Beasts that were emerging, which also drove her into the willingness she had to go on with the fight despite what was happening. She had been enjoying her vacation, however short lived it was in Hau’Oli City, and these beasts were the cause of her no longer being on her yacht and rather enjoying Alec’s company.
After having saved her life and knocking them both to the ground, the whole hero act seemed a bit out of place as Alec laughed at the mere mention, standing at Demeter’s help up from the ground. She just couldn’t quite pin point where he was at with certain things, he wasn’t the hero type, yet he risked his life to save hers, he was vain at his return comment from her compliment on his physique, but was humble enough to sacrifice it all to keep her out of harm’s way. He was genuine in the things that he was doing, his actions were very precise and held no question, but his words seemed to show now that he only saw her as a pretty face when he called her a ‘triple threat’, which appeared to be the only reason he had done what he did since he didn’t want her to go to waste. Now of course she couldn’t say that she was looking at him because she liked the shirt he had on, he was very attractive and good eye candy, and it had been awhile since she had taken the time to get with someone. However, she wasn’t going to deny that at the very first chance she got, whether it be from news about the beast Lugia, or something regarding her place in the organization, she would drop him without a second thought and very likely never see him again. No guy, no matter how attractive or enticing was worth compromising her work and her position, so it was fair to say that she really couldn’t pass any judgement since she was as two faced as they come, just like the playing cards that she had to thank for her rise to riches.
On the other hand, Demeter’s counterpart was seething at Alec’s actions at having tackled Demeter out of the way of the tree trunk that was bearing down on them. It was neither here nor there that Loki shouldn’t have to be at her charge every minute of every day to make sure that she doesn’t get herself killed or that Demeter should be taking greater care in not getting herself killed, that was an ongoing conflict for years prior and the dark type knew that better than anyone. Sometimes he really did feel like he was babysitting her as a human more than he was acting as her lead command for their missions, and he was hard pressed to say that in their spiteful relationship with each other that he cared very deeply for her, especially for a human, it just wasn’t something they discussed directly. He couldn’t determine what it was exactly that was making his fur bristle and his jowls twitch in every action that Alec took to get closer to Demeter, he wouldn’t dare say it was jealousy that someone was taking her attention away from him, and he couldn’t possibly believe that it was of some inferiority that he felt for his lack of humanity, neither of those were possibilities. There was just something about him, how haughty he was, how circumstance just seemed to favor him and how confident he was with what should be no ground to stand on. He had a comment on everything and just had to have the last laugh, which made Loki’s eyes narrow at the question of his own orientation because of a snide remark he was making to Demeter. It was infuriating having to sit back and watch as a bystander, he shouldn’t have kept his human appearance for so long on the yacht when the nuisance had made his entrance. He could lunge out of his illusion right now and claw that smug grin off of his face for good, but not without putting Demeter in a compromising position that would put too many questions on her because ‘Thomas’ is just a guise. Thomas would have to leave or disappear first before Loki could make himself known, but in the midst of all of this chaos, it didn’t seem like he would have his opportunity soon.
The beasts attacked, Alec was knocked back by his own Weezing rather forcefully, and the ground broke out beneath them, and that all lead up to Calcifer attacking the remaining creature to try and subdue it long enough for capture. Demeter did hold her device that she had been issued by the technicians in Hau’Oli City, ready and waiting for any opening or opportunity that might allow her to capture the Ultra Beast, and as Calcifer used his prowess in the supernatural to attack the very physical and very brutish beast, it didn’t seem it was waning any in order for her to strike. She didn’t want to risk the device not working, they only had so many among them there would be no room for trial and error, but before she could make any final decision, she watched one of the balls sail through the air, hitting the beast square in what should have been its face. She glanced and found Alec with an extended arm, knowing then that he had been the one to make the attempt no one else had yet. She watched carefully as the ball did in fact hit, and then it drew the creature inside, and there was a pause to see if the device would actually hold. So far the girl who sat atop a uniquely colored Raikou that was soon going to become a target to Demeter if she kept traveling around with them hadn’t had any trouble with the device that she had thrown, and so it seemed that the laboratory that issued them might have actually accomplished something in detaining an interdimensional being. The jungle was quiet, and everything was settled now, and it seemed like it was safe to say that the battle for their lives was over, at least possibly for now.
”We’re 0 for 2 now. If you’re so avidly following all of this to gain something, why aren’t we trying to catch these things,” Calcifer asked quietly beside Demeter, though his tone was much more condescending and derivative as he glared up at her. It was true, the only reason she was so intent on this effort was because she wanted to get as much information and understanding of these creatures and these events as she could. However, that intent, should she have captured the Ultra Beast, would have blown her entire cover if she had made any attempt at keeping it.
”Shut up. We’re not trying to out ourselves. You don’t think that research lab has these balls on some kind of tracking signal, or would know that an active one went missing? We were made aware that they can’t be captured by any other means than these, so that puts us in a lacking position,” Demeter shushed, and Loki came closer too at their conversation, having already understood Demeter’s stance on things.
”Minthos has already taken the specifications for the device. Should these kinds of events occur again, it’s possible we might be able to fashion one for ourselves that doesn’t belong to a region sanctioned organization,” Loki added, though movement caught his eye as a vine reached out over the jagged ground and wrapped around the device, pulling it back towards Alec and the Roserade that stood beside him. Demeter stood up straighter, beginning to dust herself off, though she winced at the splinters of wood she found along her skin as she rubbed over them. That was definitely going to take time to remedy, but for now despite the scs and cuts and bruises that she endured from falling to the ground and being tackled, she was relatively alright after the whole episode.
”Sure you aren’t the hero type? You just saved the rest of us from getting vaulted over the tree line,” she spoke then as she moved towards Alec, though that did beg the question of what actually had happened to his Machamp that had taken an air born trip, and still hadn’t returned as of yet. Demeter felt Loki shift beside her though, and Calcifer too turned at the feeling of something changing in the area around them, and it wasn’t moments after that a group of people came through the remaining trees that stood around them, all dressed in white and gold uniforms with technology just dripping off of them. Demeter recognized the insignias emblazoned on their shirts and sleeves, they belonged to the Aether Foundation, another organization that existed on the Alola Islands. They of course were nothing akin to Team Skull or anything of the like, in fact they were just a bunch of tree huggers that were probably here to scorn them for not saving a flower that got crushed when the jungle started to cave in on itself. An introduction was issued, and the guy explained what the Aether Foundation was and what they were doing there, and she honestly half expected him to go into the history of the Alolan Jungle and the hundreds of different species of leaf they tried to preserve with their conservation efforts. What was actually useful information though was the ‘species’ name for the Ultra Beast they had encountered when he referred to them as Buzzwole, that was good knowledge to bookmark and store away. They collected the active balls that contained the Ultra Beasts that had been captured there in the jungle, but then made mention of them staying and helping some of the scientists gather data? Before any objection could be made, most of the Aether Foundation had left the scene, and Demeter almost couldn’t believe what Mason suggested of them.
”He’s kidding right? He’s not serious about us just staying here and ignoring the rest of this,” Calcifer scoffed as the white uniforms disappeared back into the trees, and he glanced up to Demeter who was thinking to herself now.
”There’s no real way for us to get back in contact with the Professor Burnet to know if this is actually what she wants of our containment efforts,” Loki spoke to Calcifer on the ground beside him, there really was no telling what they were actually supposed to do since Professor Burnet had only made mention of Akala or Ula’Ula Island. However, the Aether Foundation was working with the Dimensional Research lab, so they would know of the next anomalies or events to take place, and if it were to take place on Poni Island, why would they not request their aid?
”I don’t buy it, I’m not staying here, not to become a lab assistant, and especially not to keep drowning in this humidity,” Demeter mentioned aloud then, her skin was slick with moisture and sweat from the exertion of the battle, and she was still so glad that she was both wearing a swimsuit and had hair ties to put her hair up in a bun before, though it was now rather messy and falling out in most places.
”You’re going to Poni Island now, right? We could take another Ultra Beast if everyone else cops out. What do you think,” Demeter looked to Alec then, having a feeling that he certainly wouldn’t take being demoted to a lab assistant sitting down, and before on Hau’Oli City he had become a great advocate of going along with the containment effort.
