Usually Hunting only really spoke if he wanted, or if Alec asked or spoke first. Not only did Alec find that interesting, but if satan didn't know what these were... then what kind of beings could they be? Maybe if he could get close enough to catch one, he could keep it. Maybe Hunting could figure out what it wants or what it even is. " We might be able to finish them off." Alec told the Brunette. It was good odds if all of the trainers were facing off with them cornered. Alec began for the festival. Piotr looked stunned, and didn't move. Spade let out a big huff and began after Alec along with Weezing. Harley let out an excited laugh as she cartwheeled and flipped after him, and Tamora slinked after them. All of which were careful to avoid the sludge still on the beach. Piotr looked to the brunette with a look of disbelief running one of his hands across his face as he went after them. Alec made it to the clearing just as the blinding flashing light appeared over head. Alec once again shielded his eyes as the loud booming explosion sounded over head. He looked up just in time to see the three beast shriek and flee up into the portals. " Cowards!" Harley shouted up into the air, although they were already gone. Vanessa was close behind him, and he turned to her. " That was quick." He muttered, but soon after a woman with white hair showed up with a team. She began to study the area and began talking about what happened and explaining everything. Alec soon turned back towards Piotr as she surveyed the area, and pulled out a Pokeball. " Take Foongus to the Pokecenter, and get him healed. Make sure the poison wasn't dangerous." He instructed, knowing the goodie goodie would run right over and get him healed. He was right. As she began to explain herself as the Professor, what Ultra Beasts were, and everything. He could feel Hunting in his mind, and almost his presence with him, listening and gaining every thing he could about these beasts. They were interdimensional which was not what he was expecting. Some where called the ultra space, and traveled through the worm hole? It was bizarre even for Alec. It all made sense though, why Hunting didn't know what it was, why they were attacking and destroying everything. Nothing was familiar to them, they literally couldn't tell a booth from a Pokemon form a Human. Alec's attention was actually captured by the woman as he listened. Usually during a lecture or speech he'd tune it out and ask for the clip notes after. But this, he was interested. The idea seemed to make Spade uneasy, but Harley was in the background tossing a hacky sack into a half destroyed board. She continued to speak about how she needed their help to catch the beasts, and offered them a Pokeball. He looked to Vanessa. " This definitely wasn't the vacation I intended, but things did just get a bit more interesting. I think I might want to help out." He said with a grin. Spade looked up to him, clearly not pleased with the answer, walking up and punched him in the hip with a budded-fist. Alec looked down. " What? This apparently was first contact. Don't you want to be a part of that?" Alec spoke with a grin, but Spade crossed his arms looking skeptical . " Besides, even with Foongus knocking out. We're more then well equipt to go Hunting for these Ultra beasts." Alec told Spade. Spade realized what he meant soon, either that they were safe with Hunting around, or he wanted them to follow. Either way Spade wasn't happy. They could stay here safe and sound on the beach, but nope. They have to fight more ultra beasts or what ever. Spade rolled his eyes and waved a flower at him. Alec walked over and plucked a Beast Ball out and moved back to Vanessa. He thought of which place to go. He didn't know Alola's geography well, and assumed Malie City was a city. With debris. Maybe this Jungle would be the better bet. This whole region was a vacation spot so he assumed it was more lush then jungle. " I'm thinking we're going to head towards the Lush Jungle. With how well we did on the Beach, I was hoping you would too." Alec spoke, tucking away the Beast Ball. Piotr arrived back with Foogus just in time, as Alec plucked that back and tucked it away too. " I'll be taking my Haunter there, so I hope to meet you there." Alec commented. He knew Hunting would transport them there, but he wasn't going to out right admit Giratina was teleporting them there. Shortly there after, shadows around Alec and his Pokemon warped and consumed them. Their figures soon shrank away as they were teleported away. Ridley wasn't a nice person, and it wasn't exactly for him, regardless of what she thought. She wanted to know if he was okay, and if he was he would show up, and if not, she could think he just didn't want to continue. The blonde moved back toward Finn and where her Pokemon were. Now was the method of travel. Ridley glanced to the red Salamance, assuming that Finn was going to fly there. Ridley was not about flying. She didn't like relinquishing her own control and fate to something else. It scared her. She looked to Amma, her elderly ghost. " Amma, do you think you can teleport us?" Ridley asked her, wondering if she were strong enough to teleport the group. The ghost leered at Ridley for a moment, as if she were annoyed and surprised that the would ask, but Ridley didn't blink. " Ye' I bet I can get us there in a snap." Amma told her, as her clothed arm reached into one of her old bags. She pulled out a few silver talismans. She counted out six. One for herself, Ridley, Jessica, Eris, Themyscira, and Delphine. She held them up to her mouth and began to whisper, and then blew on them. She handed them out, as purple steam began to radiate off of the old coin. Ridley took her coin, inspecting it unsurely before turning to Finn. " Amma is going to Teleport us to the City. We we'll see you there?" Ridley asked him with a grin. But soon turned back as her Pokemon grouped together. All but Eris who was still stuck standing near a pole that one of her Jaws was gnawing on. Once everyone agreed that they were ready, Amma took a breath and began to speak. " Ianuae Magicae nobis Malie City" She spoke in a commanding voice. As she spoke, her cloth body began to ripple around her. The purple steam coming off of the coins flared up, and with a sudden pop, and a burst of air, Ridley and her Pokemon were gone. She hated to do that to Thomas, but he needed to know that his efforts would have been wasted if he pursued her. "The local Professor told us about those creatures - apparently they are from another universe. More portals are about to open all across the Region. They asked for all the help we could get, but it's going to get bad." Oh. That didn't sound good by any sense of the word. Part of him wanted to get right the heck out of Alola as quickly as possible. The planes must surely be standing by to take people back after all of this had happened. He knew he couldn't do it though. He wouldn't have been able to live with himself if he didn't at least try to help these people. They couldn't escape like he could. They didn't have anywhere to go if more of those things attacked.
He steeled himself and looked at Lady. "Take us to the City." The elegant Gardevoir nodded and started to focus. Her eyes closed and Thomas started to feel rather strange - light. He closed his eyes as a wave of nausea passed over him. It was like on a roller coaster or elevator when your stomach dropped, and when he opened his eyes he was standing in front of a Pokemon Center. He looked around and realized what must have happened. He expected her to levitate them, but they had actually teleported! The destruction around them had been replaced with an eerie calm and quiet.

He glanced at the Trainers, and then focused on them. He struggled to focus on their faces as he walked over to them. "Are those things gone?" He asked, then tripped over his own feet and crashed into one of them, bringing the Trainer to the ground with him. "Sorry, sorry!" He apologized profusely, helping the guy collect the items that had been strewn across the ground. He handed (most of) the stuff over and got back up. "I have to find my friends." Looking for Rex and Lucky, he finally spotted them coming from the direction he knew the Pokemon Center to be.
They met back up outside of the festival. "Where the f**k were you?!" He hissed, glancing over his shoulder to make sure they hadn't been followed. Then he turned his furious gaze on the two guys in front of him.
They had the good grace to look sheepish, but Lucky answered for them. "Boss, look." He held out his hand, showing off two Pokeballs. He jammed his elbow into Rex's arm, and Rex too revealed two Pokemon that they hadn't had before. "With all that goin' on, we knew they wouldn't notice us sneak behind the counter and grab these. We almost got caught, and had to go out a window to get away."
"Well I'll be damned. I didn't think you boys had it in you. I'm actually proud of you." Jasper said. "Guess great minds think alike." He showed two new Pokeballs of his own, as well as a TM and an unusual Pokeball he had kept from the guy he knocked into. They had a good laugh about that. Between them, they now had a total of six new Pokemon for their use.
There was still the issue of getting out of sight and staying that way. Jasper got a sudden idea and could have kissed himself for his brilliance. "Stay close, and stay quiet." He ordered. He lead them over to a girl (Rhienne) and approached her. "Excuse me?" He said, trying to get her attention. "None of us asked for this..." He gestured around the ruined festival. "...but if these creatures aren't stopped, then who knows how much worse it could get. We would like to help - but we aren't sure how to get there. We just wondered how you were planning on getting there, and if we could maybe tag along?" He sounded completely genuine, and so convincing, that the confused looks on the faces of Rex and Lucky could be mistaken for the determination of simple minds to stop those things. "Are we sure this is actually something we want to do," Scarux grimmaced in a growl, hardly able to believe that they were still hopping around from one mess to another. It seemed that's all they got to do lately, there was no time for reprieve, and frankly he was rather over it all.
"We're not going on with this just because the doxie is going too," Vitus glowered, glancing down to Finn and knowing he fancied the human female for one reason or another, but Finn turned and gave him a steady glare at his words.
"Aye lads, the very state of the world as we know it could shift at such an unprecedented event, and I've no better reason to consider lending aid," Finn sneered, hardly able to believe that his crew thought so little of him.
"Phineas is right, it could be dangerous, but this could all change the fate of the world in an indescribably degree. I don't condone putting yourselves in the direct path of danger, but if Phineas is willing, then I am as well," came Bade's voice amongst them, and that shut up Scarux and Vitus real quick at the notion that the great spirit they had with them was actually on board with Finn's crazy fantasia of going along with this fight. Ridley was ready to go, and was requesting assistance from the ghost Amma to get her and her Pokemon there, and he watched as many other trainers began to teleport or fly off on their own Pokemon. He considered mounting Scarux then, knowing the dragon could have them there with no trouble, but he wanted to be efficient, and make sure that he wasn't going to miss any of the situation that could be occuring in Malie City.
"The city it is, we'll be along as well," Finn agreed, watching as Ridley's ghost handed off a series of charmed items and they began to take their leave with some magic Amma had it seemed.
"Bade, would you be so kind as to take us to the city," Finn requested, knowing that her power was capable of travel on levels he would never be able to understand, but she obliged as Finn, Scarux, Archimedes, and Vitus were whisked away in a dark energy and moved through the temporal plane towards Malie City. Her vision was a bit blurry behind her glasses, and she felt every muscle in her body was terribly exhausted, but the more she took a moment to breathe and gain her wits about her, she was starting to feel a little bit better. She was trying to focus on what was going on around her, and she found the three creatures that had come down upon the city shrieking and lashing out at anything that came too close to them. They were huddled together it looked like, almost as though they were watching out for each other, communicating almost, but it only took a moment for everything to change when that same strange energy shifted over the city, and they were gone within another one of those holes that disrupted the space of the sky above the city.
"Are they gone," Wattson questioned aloud, his eyes sharp as he looked at the sky above them, just waiting for another tentacle to lash out at them or something of the like.
"For now it seems, but I believe our trouble has only just begun," the Alakazam replied, glancing then in the direction of footsteps that was coming towards all of them in the streets, a white haired woman approaching them through a swarm of laboratory technicians it looked like. She began by introducing herself, but not before gaining everyone's attention in saying that this whole ordeal didn't turn out as bad as it could have been, which begged the question of what kind of havoc was she expecting, and why did she have experience with this? Rhienne had little else to do or the mind for anything else aside from listening to the woman though, and it turned out that she was exactly the informant that they needed in order to understand what it was that they had just encountered. Actual inter dimensional beings, that weren't in any way from the planet earth, it was actually a bit daunting to think about. The concept of other dimensions, other types of worlds out there that didn't just include the space and planets that some of the more obscure Pokemon were known to be from like Lunatone or Solrock was a bit much to take in all at once, but that wasn't quite the end of it.
"So, we have to go fight aliens? That's what she's asking us to do right," Aviabra asked, hardly having understood anything that the professor had to say, only in the simplest terms that they were monsters from a different planet, and they were expected to come to earth at any moment.
"Of course not. We don't have to go anywhere, this has all become far too hazardous," Wattson huffed, crossing his paws over his chest in a rather adamant notion that they were not going to fight off some inter dimensional, not sure how powerful they are, beings that could do more harm than had already been done. Nara though looked to Wattson as he stood there among there small group, and it seemed that she didn't share in his sentiment of wanting to stay out of the line of fire.
"We're supposed to sit idly by and hope for the best that this problem doesn't get worse? What if this event takes hold of other parts of the world, these creatures could show up in Johto for all we know. Or we could be prepared, learn what we can about these things and the threat they hold, and make sure that these humans have a grasp on this situation," the tiger spoke, hardly able to accept anything more than getting involved. She wasn't about to let these beasts create such chaos and uncertainty in her world that she was a known guardian for, she couldn't sit by and do nothing, hoping for the best, and not doing anything to help the cause. It just wasn't in her nature to sit things out, especially important things such as this.
"I think Nara is right... This could change things if it gets worse, and we wouldn't be any more safe in any other part of the world as we would be now...," Rhienne mentioned. It took a bit more deliberation, but a consensus had been made that they would make their way towards one of the mentioned places of the professor as Wattson held one of the peculiar pokeballs that they had been presented. Rhienne was having Absolem keep an eye out for Skylar, at least right now she felt like he might be safer to stay here in the city than go on towards the fight, though Absolem would make mention of him wanting to move anywhere if he said anything, but Rhienne was still approached as she sat upon Nara, looking down to a group of three guys moving towards her. Absolem and Wattson were immediate in their negativity towards the lead male that had started talking, and Rhienne could feel Wattson's disdain and distaste, but he got that way around just about anyone who had so much as jay walked across a street.
"I guess those scientists didn't really plan this out too well. If people want to help but can't get there, then that isn't going to do much good," Rhienne mentioned, her voice still a bit weak as she looked down behind her glasses. He was genuine, and made a simple request, wanting to go on to where the professor woman had specified in order to help out the cause she called for.
"My Alakazam was going to teleport us there. It's not for everyone if you've never teleported before, but if you are really wanting to come help, then yeah, you can come with us," Rhienne agreed, seeing no harm in bringing along someone else, or rather three more people who wanted to come and aid, and if there was one thing that she knew, there were power in numbers.
"If you're okay with the teleporting idea, then stay close and try not to think too hard? We're going to leave right now," she tried to prepare the best that she could in a bit of a hastened, and weakened state, and in that moment Rhienne and the small group disappeared from the streets of Hau'oli city. |

OOC:Things progressed pretty quickly as the creatures continued to swarm the city and attack anything and everything they came into contact with. They lofted through the air and struck anything that moved it seemed, or things like trees or a building didn't have to move at all really, and another one of them had come over towards her corner of the beach again to attack Lucero whom had shot his fire at it. The Quilava was livid at this point, the entire afternoon had been nothing but one thing after another, and it all seemed to be targeting him for some reason, but no sooner had the fire type geared up another attack, ready to really burn these things to death, the one that was lofting above the beach began to move back towards the city as there were a series of shrill cries that filled the air. Demeter watched all three of them begin to move towards a particular spot within the city streets. She might have considered things done then, she would return her few Pokemon and call it quits, get on her yacht and finish getting the tan that she wanted, but she was rather surprised to see Alec so forward in running off towards the main of the battle. Demeter couldn't deny that this was a good opportunity, field work she could consider it, after having spent her most recent ventures as an admin for the organization doing mostly development on the shadow program after they had captured that Lugia. Demeter took a moment to return Lucero who was ready to blow a gasket, and she returned Kyre too in not knowing if the Nidoking would be able to keep up, but Thomas remained by her side and Calcifer began to move forward with her to follow. She kept Minthos out for record sake, despite him being shaken up over everything that was happening, she needed to be able to keep track of everything that she was witnessing and everything that was occurring in regards to these creatures.
Moving up to the main of the city where the things had made their final stand, but before they could make any real effort in bringing them down, there was another shift in the space around them, and one of those gaping holes opened up within the sky. The creatures shrieked before moving as fast as they could, being engulfed by the strange essence of whatever the displacement was, and there was a pulse before the hole was gone, and they were gone as well. It all seemed rather anti-climactic, after all of the destruction and grief they caused, and now all of the trainers and others whom had gathered for the fight were left standing in the midst of the destroyed city. Within moments though, they weren't left there standing for nothing as a group of scientist looking individuals began to converge in the area, with scanners and other pieces of technology that they were all glued to. One woman though stood out above the others, and Demeter could honestly say that in all her research and organization intel, she didn’t recognize the woman. They didn’t seem to be any trouble though, no one made any motion to fight them off, and she even apologized for getting held up by Team Skull which meant that they weren’t associated. She introduced herself as Professor Burnet soon after, head of the Dimensional Research Lab, and spun a harrowing tale about what it was that they had just encountered there within Hau’Oli City. She had Minthos keep tabs on everything the professor spoke about, all in regards to these Ultra Beasts and the fact that they had just become witness to inter dimensional beings that were actually not from their plane of existence.
”She actually expects us to believe that this is all some cosmic anomaly from space or something,” Calcifer scoffed, hardly understanding why Demeter and Loki both were actually standing there and listening to what the claimed professor was talking about.
”Minthos, Cipher operative scan,” Loki requested of the psychic beside them, ignoring Calcifer entirely as he looked to the Hypno. His focus changed only briefly as his eyes shifted through the area, searching to find any other Cipher operatives in the area bearing witness to what was happening.
”Negative, no other registered Cipher operatives active in this area,” Minthos returned, turning back to continue listening to the professor. Demeter looked to Loki though knowing that he had to be on the same track that she was in asking Minthos to watch for others of their organization.
”This is the first event of its kind. We could be the first in our organization, the first in any organization to get a grasp on this undocumented territory. The intel would be invaluable, and if we managed to detain one of these creatures,” Demeter spoke then in a hushed tone among Loki and Calcifer, almost solidifying the notion without any other forethought that they were going along with the help that the professor was requesting of them.
”Intel gathering in the form of a harmless call to aid. It’s almost too easy,” Loki confirmed then, and while Thomas only smiled, she knew Loki’s fangs were bared in a smile on his muzzle at knowing what this could mean for them in the long run. So this wasn’t the mission they were running currently in trying to infiltrate the Johto League, but this had pretty much been handed to them on a silver platter. Just moments after though, Alec came up on the main of the group after she had followed him to the edge where the assumed Nihilego had disappeared, and she had to admit to, this wasn’t exactly what she had in mind when she boarded that plane in Olivine.
”No, this wasn’t what I had in mind either when I decided to take some time off, but this has piqued my interest just a little bit,” Demeter returned, but Alec seemed to be a bit more excited than she was, going on about being a part of the first contact with these creatures from another dimension, and hunting for these Ultra Beasts in the different parts of Alola. She wouldn’t have pinned him for being so enthusiastic, but he was rearing to go much more than his own Pokemon were.
”I think I’m in too. But the invitation was a nice touch,” Demeter mused as she watched shadows come from the ground around his few Pokemon to take them there via his Haunter like he’d mentioned.
”Thomas, go grab one of those Pokeballs,” Demeter commented, wanting to get it to Minthos to start studying the specs of the device that this laboratory had fashioned. By that time, Alec had disappeared as Loki came back with retrieved capsule, and she looked to Minthos in that moment.
”Minthos, subject location North North West Akala Island,” she commanded, knowing the psychic was capable of teleportation as a form of travel, and within moments they were gone from the streets of Hau’Oli City. Meanwhile, as all this took place. Skylar was in a battle with a rather energetic Buneary who was looking for a fight. Skylar's Bayleef stepped up looking rather excited. Skylar nodded in return. "Ok Bayleef I'm counting on you!" He exclaimed as the Bayleef started off with a tackle attack sending the Buneary back. The Buneary came back quickly using its quick attack. Even from one tackle the Buneary looked rather tired. Skylar stepped up tossing a Luxury Ball at the Buneary. He ball opened up as a red light enveloped the Buneary bringing it inside as the ball wriggled it was soon caught. Skylar ran up picking the ball up with a smile. He was about to call for Rhienne when he heard an explosion and seeing the place was under attack he ran with his Bayleef to hide for cover.
Skylar saw some goons with headgear that looked like skulls. "Wait th- that's... they steal people's pokemon..." he said shivering and held his Bayleef rather close trying to stay hidden, afterwards trying to come out he saw some ultra wormholes open up as a strange pokemon came put. Seeing as this wasn't going well he stayed hidden hoping it would all end.
Once he felt it was over and safe he walked out with Bayleef. "This place is a disaster... hmm where's Rhienne? Rhienne? Absolem?" He would call out hoping to get a response as Skylar and Bayleef walk around what was left

Llorona Braithwaite Walking in silence suited Llonora surprisingly well given the current situation. Mostly she kept her eyes on the ground but while they walked the woman occasionally took a moment to gather her surroundings. She knew they were getting close to the town by the smell of salt in the air - that and the slow recession of nature that began to unfold before them. Llonora's Rowlet seemed talkative at first in vast contrast to his trainer, but at some point even the Owl seemed to pick up on the general reluctance of both humans to speak and sought to mimic it, talking trash to Rhea and Venus was fun but at some point, it had to stop. As such the tiny owl was nearly asleep on her shoulder when Cyren broke the long silence, shaking his feathers out while his trainer stopped where she was and raised an eyebrow. "Do I have a choice?" The word choice may have seemed a bit harsh but her tone was completely devoid of any malice, or at least Llonora thought so. He did not need to suck up to her in any way, it wouldn't have worked regardless of what he did. "Do you really even want to go shopping? Didn't you bring everything you need for here?" She asked skeptically, attempting to correct the severity of her earlier word choice and shrugging. If he really wanted to go shopping she was not going to say no. This place actually looked modern enough to have some potentially good wares and she would need a new outfit for traveling since she had completely lost her luggage on the flight over. While making a mental list of things she might need should they actually spend some time out - Llonora tried not to react when he mentioned a beach, though a bit of positivity showed through no matter how hard she tried. The one thing she had looked for in nature when choosing where she would be shipped off to was whether or not they had some surf... And this place, for all of it's flaws so far definitely had that. Forcing a sigh, she shrugged, noting a billboard in the distance for a hotel and pointing it out immediately. Llorona Braithwaite"Oh brother." She retorted quickly. Llonora wanted to say a lot more about how she could function the way she was, or about how she didn't need an escort for the sake of shopping. There were still plenty of things she couldn't do on her own, but shopping was not one of them. On the other end of that spectrum, the woman wasn't exactly used to carrying her own goods around while shopping either. Eying him up and down in an almost sarcastic manner, Llonora didn't bother to reply to his next statement. If he wanted to follow her around for a change then fine - but there was a good chance he would be complaining about it soon enough. "We will go to the hotel. As doubtful as it is that they can get a packed venue here I still want to make sure we can get something a little more comfortable. I don't like sleeping on the first floor." Something her father had always insisted upon, no matter how frightfully tall the building might have been - was that they be on top. Eventually, Llonora came to understand it for the egotistical power trip that it was, but that did not make it any less appealing to her even with her mild fear of heights. While they walked down what she was happy to find was a normal, concrete sidewalk, the female had to physically bite her own tongue when she recalled something else from their childhood. As positive as the memory would have been she really didn't want anything to do with personal conversation right now. 'That didn't make it any less fun.' She thought to herself, nearly tipping over when she realized a moment too late they were passing their first intended destination. "Eh. Looked better on the billboard." The hotel itself was fine on the outside, and the emerald-eyed female knew that - but nothing would compare to the intricate beauty of the massive hotels back home and she felt she needed to complain about it. Deadeye was standing rigidly on Llonora's shoulder, attempting to remain still and proper both to avoid scaring her and because he felt it was what she was looking for in a pokemon. She had valued Pebble's performance earlier despite the rock type not making it look nearly as easy as the Rowlet had. As far as he knew it was simply presentation. "Maybe. They said something about a beach! That means lots of sun!" Sounding excited but keeping his voice down was difficult but the grass type pokemon managed, shaking his tiny tail feathers a bit when they entered the hotel. The humans seemed to prefer to sleep indoors as opposed to on tree branches. He mused it was probably because of how heavy and clumsy they were. When the feline questioned his ability to swim, Deadeye's head swiveled around backward with the egg still stuck in his beak, chittering a bit sarcastically and bobbing up and down a few times. Llorona BraithwaiteDeadeye considered leaving Llonora's shoulder just so he could demonstrate his version of swimming to the Litten. Thankfully he did not make the same mistake as last time, choosing inside to tilt his head from side to side cheerfully. "I believe in you, but don't get sucked up by the water types! Cats don't float well as we do!" He mocked while still carrying his egg. Truth be told, as safe as the egg felt stuck in his beak, it was beginning to make his 'jaw' sore. This would require correction sooner or later but for now with Venus helping the litten Deadeye felt it more necessary than ever to show no signs of weakness! When Rhea mentioned sitting in the soft sand by the water, the owl felt himself blush just a bit. It was a pretty image in his mind that he just couldn't shake. "You are a good friend Rhea." He tweeted in a sing-song voice while his trainer proceeded to waltz them right back outside. This was okay, he preferred being in the sun anyway. Llonora tapped her sandals against the cool slabs of the floor beneath her feet while Cyren dealt with the hotel clerk. This day was wearing her out mentally. First, she had awoken to find her father's Pokeball was not a terrible nightmare, Then they had been attacked and won their first trainer battles! This, in turn, was ruined by Cyren's general honesty with her regarding his presence in Alola at all - but to top it all off now she was about to go shopping, surfing, and sleep in a warm bed. "So much up and down... What a ride." When Cyren returned, Llonora quickly snatched the key from him and let it dangle from her fingertip, storing it away safely against her chest. Sure it was a bit unladylike, but if given the chance she was absolutely certain her bag would devour it like it seemed to do everything else... Then they wouldn't have the key. "I don't need to see the room, it's got a shower right?" She shrugged absently, strolling back out through the automated double doors and stretching herself out a bit. They still had a considerable amount of walking to do if they were to go to the plaza and see the beach before dark, especially given the woman's tendency to overindulge in shopping. So she wasted no time setting off down the sidewalk once more. "At least this place is civilized enough to have street signs." She called back to Cy before breaking out into a light jog even with the shopping district being more than a bit out of reach for a bursting run. If they were going to sleep easy tonight she saw no reason not to get in a bit of exercise beforehand. Besides, a little extra cardio before one hit the waves was always a good idea if you wanted to avoid a cramp. "Keep up or I'm leaving you behind! Llorona BraithwaiteIt had been a quite some time since Llonora had actually jogged outdoors. She kept up her physical appearance by working out several times a week but if the woman was being honest with herself, everything she did was done indoors to avoid contact with people she didn't want to see... So everyone. With this in mind, she couldn't help but adopt a bit of a cheesy grin while she continued along the city. She probably looked stupid running in a dress but it wasn't like she actually had an outfit for this type of thing. "Oh, definitely need to add some yoga clothes or sweatpants to the list." She managed between nice, even breaths. The wind felt good in her hair and on her skin, better than she really wanted to admit anyway. Once the shops came into sight her legs began to slow themselves down to a brisk walk, though she did not bother to stop herself outside any particular store they happened past. No, she already knew which place to start, rounding the corner into view of the massive shopping complex and providing a toothy grin for her own amusement. "This is it!. A department store. Guaranteed to have everything I need and a bunch of stuff I don't." Taking only a moment to peek back around the corner and ensure the others weren't far behind, Llonora headed up the steps to the main entrance and let herself inside, pulling at the fabric of her dress and wincing. She had begun to sweat a bit more than she would have liked for something so formal. "Let's see... They have clothes on the first floor!" Any common sense she had regarding the others following her was completely lost the moment she saw a pretty sundress hanging off a dummy. It would look many times better on her even if it wasn't necessarily her color. The Rowlet had to hold on tight the entire way to the department store, his tiny body bouncing around awkwardly while his human trainer continued on excitedly towards... shopping? Whatever it was Llonora was attempting to do - the woman was obviously excited about it so he saw no reason to hinder her progress. By the time they actually reached the large-scale building, however, Deadeye was more confused than ever! He understood the need of humans to wear clothing - they did not have feathers or fur, or anything to protect themselves from the elements, not to mention he had seen the professor without clothes once! Humans were awkwardly shaped. But Llonora was already wearing clothes so why come here to get more? "Humans are strange. Oh! Oh! Look over there they have hats!" If there was one thing about human clothes that the Rowlet DID appreciate - it was hats. Many trainers that had come in the past had worn different styles of hats and Deadeye had always been fascinated by them. Not only were they very fun to look at, but at his size, he had always anticipated he could settle himself into an upturned hat and make it into a nice nest for napping! Unfortunately, Llonora seemed to have her own ideas - the owl forcing himself to flutter up off of her shoulders when the woman began to dig through mounds of clothing like an angry Meowth using fury swipes. He doubted he would ever understand the female but Deadeye didn't need to in order to appreciate her excitement. When Cyren finally tracked down Llorona, Rhea was walking along beside him with a new big, pink bow tied around her neck. The Litten laid down, setting the egg on top of her paws before calling up to Deadeye. "Deadeye, look! Isn't it cute?" She picked the egg up with her mouth before walking in a little circle so her Rowlet friend could get a better look at the bow. While Rhea was busy showing off her new bow, Cyren was looking at some of the clothing Llorona was busy picking her way through. "Find anything you like?" He expected her to have a pile of clothes by now- something he was no doubt going to be expected to carry through the store for her...and to the hotel...and through the rest of the region. Llorona BraithwaiteUnlike the Litten, Deadeye didn't exactly have a sensitive or perceptive trainer. If he waited for Llonora to see he wanted something the poor owl would probably have starved to death before she noticed. The benefit of being a flying type, however, was that he did not exactly need help reaching high up places. "I like..." Jumping up and down in place excitedly while attempting to choose between the multitude of hat options - the Rowlet cooed softly at one particular section of hats, hopping over to them and attempting to quite literally jump up into one. Where he had wings, the poor creature lacked hands to adjust anything he tried on so the result was a very cute winter beanie with puffballs dangling from both sides... One of which was hanging in front of his face since he couldn't exactly turn it himself. "What? Is what cu-" squawking wildly in approval while Rhea began to 'strut her stuff', Deadeye hardly noticed when the egg unwedged itself! In a panic he managed to catch it with one foot before it toppled onto the floor but that had been way too close! "Rhea you are so pretty now! Erm, you were pretty before but even prettier now!" He finished in excitement, shaking his head back and forth a few times wildly in vain to try and adjust the headpiece. "Mine is broken!"Tearing through rows of clothing, Llonora found the quality of most clothing here to be a hell of a lot better than she originally imagined, her hands moving skillfully along the racks of shirts and pants while she tried to discern what it was that she really wanted. "No...No....No...C'mon, who would wear this?" She scoffed, tossing a much too skimpy outfit - probably one build for cosplay, into a bin behind her with other junk she had deemed unworthy of hanging up on any department store shelf. When Cyren's voice popped up behind her the woman jumped a bit, turning to face him and shrugging. She knew what he was expecting and honestly, her time here had yielded a Ludacris amount of wonderful garments... "That is the stuff I like over there." She pointed at a mound of different items ranging from fashionable belts to more heels. There were easily fourteen or more sets of clothes in total! With a sigh, however, she tore her green eyes away from him a moment and scooped up a much, much smaller stack consisting of three outfits, a new belt, and a pair of sneakers - all of which she held out for him to take. "This is the stuff I am buying." Her time here HAD yielded a Ludacris amount of wonderful garments but she was quickly accepting the fact that regrettably, fashion was not going to be her friend. Amongst the pile she began to eyeball a pair of slightly oversized pants with pockets along the side where she could store anything she actually needed to reach quickly, two tank tops, a pair of borderline skimpy shorts for the region and all of its natural heat, and a simple set of matching leggings and a sports top. All of that plus a belt with a few side pockets and extra room for her Pokeballs meant she wouldn't need to worry about being comfortable for a while. common, sure, but comfortable. "I've already got a swimsuit so we can go after I find a backpack. But I'm pretty sure that is going to be upstairs next to adventure gear and Pokemon tool stuff." Glancing at the Rowlet and Litten on full display of their own chosen attire, Llonora tossed the clothes to Cyren absently and walked over to her Rowlet. With an almost obscene amount of calm the woman then knelt quickly and adjusted his hat, giving him a single pat before standing so that she could attempt to spot the stairs or an elevator. "You really think so?!" Blushing, Deadeye turned his head on backward so that the Litten couldn't see just how embarrassed her simple compliment had made him. This blush seemed to quadruple when Llonora knelt down and corrected his hat. She hadn't cringed, or groaned, or complained or anything! By the time he turned to face Rhea again, he had the most cheerful expression, shaking his head back and forth in such a way that caused the little puff balls on his hat to bounce around in a goofy manner. "Where are you going?!" He called when the litten took off on them, taking a long look at his trainer and chirping to acknowledge her help before he took off in an attempt to catch the quickly moving kitty. "Wait for me!!"Once she had taken care of her Pokemon, Llonora plucked a bit more at her dress absently. If she was being completely honest with herself the woman was actually in a rush to get out of shopping for once. Not because she felt bad for Cyren carrying her things, and not even because she knew that most of the items purchased would probably go to waste or be sent home. Her primary reasoning lay in the fact that she still had two more things ahead of her today - things she valued more than a few extra clothes. 'I'm gonna need a board..' She thought, blinking a few times to find that the others had seemingly vanished. "I really need to pay more attention." Locating the others didn't exactly take long - Cyren was never hard to spot at his size, but she still took her time getting to the stairs. Once it was verified he wasn't intending on putting any of the things she had selected back onto a shelf the moment Llonora turned her head, she forced a smirk and stood on her tip-toes, giving his head a pet and proceeding ahead. The sooner they found what she needed, the sooner she could hit the surf and take a shower. "Oh man I am going to live in that shower..." She said aloud though to no one in particular before adding more specifically - "C'mon slow poke, you are dragging your feet. The second floor had a lot less of the things Llonora liked, but a whole lot more of the things she needed. If there was any chance she was going to survive the Alola region, equipment was going to be a must. "Cyren, I don't know if you need anything but this is your lucky day - I am buying." Knowing the details of Cyren's disappearance was fairly irrelevant as far as Llonora was concerned - the male was allergic to money so it seemed to be a fair bet that he wasn't exactly rolling in spare cash. With this in mind she began plucking a few backpacks off of the shelf, the woman scolded herself silently each and every time she tried one on and turned her eyes to the nearby mirror. Something functional was going to be required, fashion was secondary. While she continued to toy with several different units, a strange thought occurred to her that Llonora didn't exactly seem thrilled about. His explanation for leaving had upset her quite a bit - but the more she thought about it, the more she realized she was attempting to prove something even without realizing it until just now. If the reason Cyren had abandoned her was that he couldn't stand their lifestyle then perhaps a lifestyle change might be something capable of impressing him. "I don't need to impress anyone. Stupid brain." She muttered to herself as she tossed yet another backpack haphazardly aside much to the distaste of one of the employees. In her own region, shopkeeps didn't like Llonora or any of her 'friends' - but they kept their mouths shut when money entered the building, forcing their fake smiles for as long as it took for her to spend some cash. This place was much less aware of who she was. Wriggling her nose, the woman waved to the employee who seemed to duck behind a shelf once he knew she had seemed him. "I don't need to impress anybody. I'm here for me...Right? Eh - Cyren, c'mere really quick." Repeating the statement didn't do much for her mood - after all, who was she trying to convince? Sometimes being too aware of things was an issue for the youngest Braithwaite. "Screw it. Sir? Yes - you behind the duffle bags pretending not to be a stalker, you want to help point me in the direction of a surfboard? Unless you want your manager to know that you are making women uncomfortable in the store?" Almost instantly the employee appeared before her, wearing an almost sickeningly nervous smile whilst ushering Llonora Towards the outdoor section. It would essentially be the equivalent of burying a lie at this point, sure, but perhaps it wasn't too late to make Cyren carry something heavy for her. He was the one who had messed up the otherwise decent day - not her! Unlike the others, the Rowlet was content with shopping - he had a hat! So he spent his time floating around near the ceiling, trying not to aggravate the other patrons while spying on the group he was with. Everyone seemed busy with one thing or another, even though Cyren looked almost distracted. The poor human had to deal with his trainer more than any of them so Deadeye imagined he had a whole lot to think about. When he spotted Venus and Rhea near their trainer he fluttered down, coming to a 'flap-tastic' hover before the fighting type and showing off his egg. Neither party had won yet but he felt the need to remind them that he was still in it to win it! "You should get a hat!" He offered, trying to picture the machop in any type of headwear... Which caused a bit of jealousy when he began to eye Venus's hands. He could actually try things on in the store by himself and yet he hadn't touched a thing! After casting a glance to Rhea he fluttered around the machop a few times and added in a cheerful manner. "Or a ribbon! Ribbons made Rhea so cute, they might help you too?" If he noticed that his last comment had possibly come off as more than a bit rude, Deadeye didn't show it. He was only trying to include the machop in their game of dress up. "I don't need a hat or a ribbon." Things like that would just get in the way whenever she tried to exercise. She hoped the discussion would end with her dismissal and they would be able to focus on something like the egg game instead. Unfortunately for her, things didn't go as she had planned. She soon found herself being pushed towards one of the displays by the Litten, who had pressed her head against the Machop's back and was trying to shove her forward. Venus sighed, turning to steady Rhea so she wouldn't fall before stepping away from her and walking to the display on her own. The Litten sat down with the egg on her paws, meowing up at the display. "There's gotta be something here that'll work for you!" Apparently she wasn't going to be allowed to not play with them. This was her punishment for agreeing to be part of the egg game. She looked over the display, noting it appeared to be full of different things she had seen humans wearing sometimes when they worked out. She grabbed one of the bands that looked as it it would fit around a human wrist, turning it over in her hand a few times before slipping it on to her wrist. The fabric was much more comfortable than she had been expecting and it fit her just fine. While the tag attached to it felt as if it would start to get annoying real fast, she made no move to remove it. It could be dealt with after they had left the store. She held up her arm so the other two could see her wrist before shrugging. "This good enough?" She asked, unsure as to whether or not she now qualified as "cute" due to the silly little accessory she wore. "That board looks about as fun to ride as a rampaging Tyrantrum! seriously you don't have anything better?!" The poor customer service representative who had been unfortunate enough to cross path's with Llonora was scampering around like a rat caught in a trap. Each and every unit he tried to show the woman produced varying results ranging from minor annoyance to full-blown hatred. Truth be told, most of the boards weren't actually all that bad... But one of her famous moods had struck the woman and so suddenly it was the employee's fault. "C'mon, this entire region is nothing but sand and islands! Give me something I can actually ride on without bringing shame to my entire family." While she stood, arms crossed and foot tapping away impatiently, Llonora's eyes wandered over to where Cyren was standing. He was hardly paying attention to her - or anything aside from his devices for that matter. He had barely said a word to her since they'd gotten there, not that he was much of a talker, to begin with. But that didn't mean she wasn't worried regardless. Llonora turned her head upward in thought, staring at the ceiling while she tried in vain to recall any part of the day that gave him a right to be upset, assuming he even WAS upset. Cyren didn't LOOK upset. "Ugh... What a pain in my a-" The representative, now looking completely exhausted, had returned with a large board in hand. The male practically cowered behind it while he waited to be assaulted again. Taking a few steps towards it, she slowly raised her index finger and began to draw small lines on its surface, tracing the outline of what appeared to be several flowers etched into the entire length of the board. It was too pretty for her to insult even if the girl had wanted to. "Huh. Well, I guess it's about time. Where can I check out?" Much to the relief of the worker who immediately carried the surfboard over to the register - she was finished shopping. The board was going to be much too heavy to carry around for any length of time but... Then again she had Cyren and hopefully an item transfer system for that. "Hey big guy, you want to walk those muscles over here and help me out for a second? And bring the Pokemon too! that ribbon is too cute not to buy." Waving Cyren over once they had reached the counter, Llonora dug into her soon to be disposed of bag for the cards she had brought with her. As far as she was concerned it could have been much worse! She could have bought a huge tent for him to carry. "But they would look good on you! You are a human-oo. Hoo-man-oid? Humanoid Pokemon! I heard the professor say it once and I think it means you are people shaped! That means you could wear anything!" Despite the near jealousy with which he was speaking - Deadeye was almost content to let the subject dropped. Venus really seemed so indifferent about wearing anything that it was probably a waste of time. Then again, he underestimated the charm Rhea possessed! Marching over behind them while his feet clicked against the floor, the Rowlet turned his head from side to side while waiting for Venus to try something on! They had all sorts of neat things like tank tops, shorts, headwear... And apparently a fuzzy looking bracelet? "Eh." The male pokemon offered at first, though more because he was genuinely confused by what exactly it was. When Venus seemed to be seeking their input, albeit, in a most unenthusiastic manner, the Rowlet looked over at Rhea first, then back to Venus before attempting to shrug as best he could. "I dunno what it is but if you like it, I like it!" He chirped, turning his attention to Llonora who was being much too loud. Apparently, it was about time to go.
