Elfy gravity_resistant  Marco DirkMarco was satisfied with how his experience had turned out given the current situation. The focus wasn't on him, his Sableye seemed to have made two interesting friends, as well as he got to lay back all the while. He left his little ghost companion to his own devices, so long as the Sableye stayed on the table with Noctowl. He had his attention on the Machop and Noivern. The more reserved Pokémon responded, followed with a nod agreeing she liked sweets. Eve however was a bit more enthusiastic, reacting excitedly. Marco chucked, reaching up to stroke her head to hopefully ease her excitement. "Alright, heard you loud and clear." He spoke, standing up and making his way over towards the food table. He walked over to the desert table, plucking a small chocolate off of the tray, tossing it in the air and catching it in his mouth. He half considered grabbing the tray of chocolates for the Pokémon. He hadn't been around a Machop before, but they were humanoid he was sure it would be fine. But Noivern… That was two problems. One he was sure it wouldn't be good for her, and two, a hyped up Noivern inside would be a very bad idea. He took a glance back at the two, before walking further down the long table of food to the salads and grabbed the whole bowl of fruits for the fruit salad and carried it back over and sat it on the table within reach of both Venus and Eve. He didn't really care if anyone else wanted it. It didn't seem like anyone else was eating anyways. "Might not be candy, but I bet these are sweet enough." He commented as he sat back He picked out a g and allowed them to get what they wanted. He knew Venus had fingers able to make her own plate if she wanted or to just grab them out of the tray. He was ready to stop Eve from diving face first into the tray, but he was watching to be ready to help her pick out fruits if she needed it.
Meanwhile Sableye was still on the table near the perched Noctowl. He was smiling again, he was enjoying the questions game. He got to think about the shiny Pokeball again. The game continued as Noctowl continued to ask that he did see someone and if he could recognize them. The ghost stood there for a moment silent as he thought. His smile disappeared again, knowing the answer wasn't the good answer. He didn't want to lose the game. He shook his head no. "Only looking at shiny ball." He said with his clawed hands on his stomach, still hungry for it. He kept his eyes on the Noctowl and moved his hand past his face quickly, meaning he didn't look at the person who crossed his path. At least that's what it meant to him. But the ghost seemed to frown and looked at the table, almost frustrated for a moment. He couldn't the his words out correctly, it was clear he had only begun speaking in the sense of other Pokémon once Marco caught him. "No, I don't know" He began in his hissing voice before looking back to the Noctowl. "Person did not take it. It was there. then it was not there." He tried to explain it to the bird. Having a hard time trying to communicate what he had seen to the bird. (I'm under the assumption that Aipom was already gone. I'm gonna start posting as the NPCs more frequently, even if it's out of turn, just to try and get the event through.)

The moment Marco got up and walked away, Aipom quickly looked to Sableye to note he was completely occupied with the Noctowl. Satisfied, he began digging in deeper for the shiny items at the bottom. Aipom had gotten a good look at the shiny gem-infused Pokeball before it was taken, so being quiet and moving as little as possible he searched for the shape and color of the stolen gift. He'd keep looking up for Marco, and when he was returning Aipom would retreat either with the Pokeball in hand or empty handed. Backpack

gravity_resistant Elfy rooker  Demetri Nathaniel Albert Demetri listened closely to Elizabeth and was watching her reactions to his questions. If her Cutiefly could see auras then that was something they needed to know immediately. But it would seem it was more of a sense then it was a sight. That did make sense to him. He didn't really know much about the fairy Pokemon, so he had to take her word for it. Cyren then asked the Pokemon if she did sense anything at the very least, and the Pokemon answered, however there was no discerning the soft buzzes as words. He glanced to Elizabeth who was still holding the small Pokemon, but Cyren seemed to question what he already had in mind, a translator. The Baron looked around for a second. "Where is that Noctowl," He thought out loud quietly, still thinking it was the owl that translated before. He was almost disappointing, not only would it have been cool to have the psychic experience again, but now they won't get to find out exactly what the little fly said exactly. Demetri opened his mouth to ask a further question, but Katie chimed in. He stopped and let her speak, and he was impressed with the way she was direct with her question even though they were on friendly terms. She asked about if her camera had made the flash, and if she thought they might have captured the culprit. Demetri looked back to the Reporter was curious about her answer. After hearing her explanation of if she caught it and if it would be on the camera, Demetri nodded with a thoughtful expression, and then held his hand out to her. "Can I have it, please? If it has the culprit on it, it would be evidence." He explained firmly, holding his hand out until he would receive the bag, or camera. However before he could get anything, a Pokemon stomped past him and began aggressively speaking to Elizabeth's Cutiefly. The baron's expression went from calm to confused as he looked around behind him, trying to figure out who this Pokemon belonged too. He had seen them before, he knew they were luxury Pokemon so they were common with the groups he's usually around. He spotted three woman in the general direction she came from, A blonde and Elizabeth who were chatting, and another Blonde towards the middle of the room.All three woman looked like they had the potential to own a Tsarenna but he knew Elizabeth had one. He couldn't tell exactly tell if it was the sane one how ever. "Excuse me, Are you here with Elizabeth, Uhhh the other Elizabeth. He questioned the Pokemon. She had interrupted the interrogation, at a crucial moment.Elizabeth Plum Elizabeth stood idle as she let her Cutiefly speak. She wasn't sure why they were asking her Pokemon questions when she couldn't exactly respond, but she didn't want to interrupt. It went about as she expected seeing that they couldn't understand her. Cyren mentioned they might need a translator, and The Baron commented about a Noctowl. She had no knowledge of this so she gave them an awkward smile and gave a small shrug. She followed it by stroking the small head of Cutiefly with her index finger of her free hand for thanks for trying. Cyren asked if the Cutiefly could point out a person if she recognized someone's energy. She look a moment, and looked around with her little eyes, and then nodded in agreement. Katie spoke up next commented that she had a question. The short haired blonde looked to Kathrine and listened. Tucking her short hair behind her ear again. She asked if her camera might have caught the person. "Yes, those were my camera flashes. That was my intent, take a picture of who ever it was, but I think they figured that out and knocked me down on their way off the stage." She theorized, it might have been on accident when who ever it was ran into her and knocked her down, but it could have also been on purpose to steal or break her camera. Demetri then firmly asked to have her camera, She was almost surprised by the direct seizure of her property but knew she couldn't argue since she didn't think it was a question. "Of course, but it's in pieces so I don't think you could do much with it." She stated sliding the back off of her shoulder only to have a Tsarenna march up and start pointing at herself as she spoke at her Pokemon. Elizabeth didn't know what she was saying, but she pulled her outstretched hand that her Cutiefly was on. The little fly looked at her puzzled. "Wh-what? No, it's not yours. " She refused fluttering up and out of the Reporter's hand hovering just above where she was so she didn't have to be held any further. She knew it was going to the Baron, but they didn't know who this Pokemon was or what the plan was to 'fix this mess.' [Katie discovered the Flashes were in fact from the camera]

Elizabeth Morgan Things were going pretty well all considered. New friend, a distraction from what was going on, her Pokemon were keeping their cool too! She hadn't noticed Belle walk off yet or that Spike had slipped away from her. She couldn't avoid smiling at the mention of not caring what was going on with her badge collection. "It's only cheating if someone catches you, I guess." She remarked thoughtfully, nodding slowly as she considered this to be the case. Neither woman knew, clearly, that there were no laws about collecting Badges in other regions. It didn't increase your standing other than bragging rights about your progress in different parts of the world. Liz couldn't hide the wistful look in her eyes as Ridley went on to describe her adventures and how she came to each region--boredom, mostly, as Liz came to understand it--she still smiled and took in the explanations and remarks. Nimbasa and New Tork and maybe Undella. A vacation island sounded wonderful. "Ha. Maybe you could take me there sometime." She suggested idly, liking the idea of going on an adventure with this new acquaintance. It would be an experience for sure it sounded like!
Questioning about the markets outside of Goldenrod's shopping center got Liz into something of a geek mode. She gushed about quaint little market stalls and modest stores that even natives to Goldenrod City didn't seem to know existed. All kinds of places to visit and ways to get virtually anything one could hope for. Her gushing led mostly to practical places like pharmacies and feed shops, but she threw out the occasional clothing store and accessory shops as well. She smiled brightly, showing off the glove on her arm in spite of its existence hiding a very real cause for concern. "My girlfriend made these for me! Probably the best seamstress in all of Johto!" Liz declared enthusiastically. She was going to show off her dress, but that enthusiasm died right before she tried to twirl. "Oh...right...I bought this in another city. The Duchess' invitation was kind of a surprise." Liz felt down almost immediately. This wasn't one of Hitori's dresses. "But...Hitori is still really great! You should definitely try and look her up next time you go to Goldenrod City!" It was clear the redhead was trying to encourage business for her friend but that didn't make her declaration of this mystery woman's skill any less authentic.
Spike let out a frightened noise and recoiled immediately from the Kabuto. "No! Get away!" He squeaked, darting back under the table he had just come out from. He was expecting to get assaulted again just when he had finally committed to confessing his crime. Yami's advice was not easily accepted, but a call for help seemed to change Spike over that much faster. Guide? He could guide. "You're...kinda heavy..." Remarked the spider, slowly stepping out from beneath the table cloth. "But...but I have to go. My trainer will get in trouble if I don't tell them what really happened!" Spike declared, followed quickly by a short "sorry!" before Yami found his shell spattered with a line of webbing. Spike did not run, but he was moving faster than Yami was going on his own. If the Kabuto didn't try to keep up, he would find himself jerked forward every few steps until they reached the stage. Spike almost missed the glistening objects. He paused and stared in wonder. He was going to walk away when he decided it was better to have something to give the humans. He didn't even think this was a clue, he just wanted to make sure it wasn't. "Hold on. I found something." Good eyes were doing something magical for the little Spinarak. He had something to work with. Maybe just somebody's present to give back, though. The beads looked nice, he hoped their owner wasn't sad that they were gone. His voice had an edge of hopeful glee as he strung up the beads in a mess of webbing before coming back to Yami. "Err...sorry." He added, realizing there were marks on the floor indicating he had not gone slow at all. The Spinarak found his way up the side of the stage and put the beads aside, then peered over the edge of the stage. "Are you coming too? I can bring you up!" He called out to Yami. It wasn't a long climb up the leftmost corner of the stage (on Duchess Adelaide's right side) but Spike assumed that a slow Kabuto was also a Kabuto that could not climb. He wanted to help the helpful stranger! Once Yami was either helped up onto the stage with him, or declined to go, Spike hurried off, sliding in front of Adelaide's seat.
"Tell your human I h-h-h-have to talk to her! It's really import-t-t-tant!" He was standing, alone, in front of two Snubbulls and a leader of this region. He had been prepared for this moment, but remembering what his tiny brain had talked him into doing had the poor Spinarak stammering his demand to Adelaide's two Pokemon. Spike dumped the webbed beads in front of him, flattening his body against the ground in a crude mime of kneeling. The Spinarak trembled in place. He didn't want to confess, but he was afraid Liz would get arrested if he didn't. "I-i-i-it was me! I s-shot the Stinger! I thought I could hit the bad guy and I missed and it's all my fault! Please don't be mad at her! She's just trying to help fix my screw up!" He cried out, blaming himself that the killer had escaped just because he had not taken a second to aim his shot. One moment longer could have saved everyone all this trouble. "It's my fault he got away! I'm sorry! I'm really, really sorry!" Without somebody to interpret for him, there was a lot of distressed Spinarak yelling at the Archduchess, but he couldn't let his nerves delay him any longer. Spike was trying to throw himself under the proverbial bus to protect Liz from the Archduchess treating her like a suspect any further. She was just an idiot, not a criminal.
Belle grit her teeth and clenched tiny fists when she was denied her demand. "You do not want any of this right now, Cutiefly, Let me take care of--!" She stomped angrily when Demetri addressed her and fixed him with a scowl. "USELESS HUMANS!" She shouted, turning on her heel as Elizabeth handed Demetri--the correct person--her camera bag. Another glare, but she nodded once all the same, then stormed off to try and find another way to feel useful. He asked her like she was another person, that made the Tsareena feel weirdly obligated to respond at least. Even if he had pissed her off by getting in her way. Humans were painfully stupid.
Leah excused herself from Jessica and padded over to Elizabeth's interview calmly. She made a point to sit on Elizabeth's side in case Demetri thought she was trying to make up with him. He was not a bad person--yet--but he still made her anxious. At this point she was more convinced he would be some kind of lynch pin for all of this to end with. That did not make him feel safer to approach, right or wrong. She wanted to explore her own hypothesis. "Excuse me. I apologize for my teammate. I was wondering if you could tell me something about your human?" Leah called out to Cutiefly, hoping her sour experience with Belle hadn't turned her off to talking with new Pokemon. "Do you recognize this man? How do you know him?" It was not a good start to questioning. Demetri was a local royal and Elizabeth was a journalist in the area. How, indeed, could they possibly know such a hot topic character? "I'm...curious. He has been making me uneasy since I arrived. I'm afraid for my trainer, I would like to know if I am being unreasonable." She was trying to be careful, but she let out what she was trying to do anyway. The Absol couldn't think of a better excuse to interrogate Cutiefly about Demetri. if she pretends that she's scared of him, maybe Cutiefly will be more willing to share what she knows. Fear seemed to make others more willing to overshare. If only to assure someone there was nothing to fear.
Liz started when Julian walked right up to them...and spoke to the stranger first. He was trying to get some space for them and normally she would understand that. Not this time. "No. You're fine, Ridley. You can stay right here." She responded as soon as she caught where this was going. She didn't want to make this easy to do. More than that she refused to let him decide for her that she was ready to even hear an apology. The redhead decided that letting him speak at all was the gift he got for coming over. Her eyes were narrowed and she gave a curt nod to the younger male. "What d'ye need?" An upset Liz still leaked that Irish accent and the redness forming in her cheeks indicated she was embarrassed that it was coming out. She hadn't realized before that she wasn't speaking normally anymore. Instead of correcting herself, she acted as though her speech was completely normal and if nobody called it out she didn't have to address it while mentally going over the way to enunciate her speech again. Eve bounced in placed when Marco left to retrieve food for them. Sweets would be a perfect distraction for the Noivern. If she was busy eating then she couldn't get into trouble. She began circling the table in her excitement, glancing up at it occasionally to check to see if food had suddenly materialized on it. Venus didn't bother to stop her. She was hoping that her circling would burn off any extra energy the Noivern had. With any luck she would lay down and relax after she ate. When Marco returned with the fruit, Eve let out a loud cry and looked ready to try shoving her face in the bowl. Venus grabbed her tail and pulled her back. "Down." She kept her hold on the Noivern's tail until she settled down. Venus climbed on to the table, nodding her thanks to Marco before picking out a couple of orange slices for Eve. She offered them to her one at a time, making the Dragon take her time. There was no rush to eat through the entire bowl. She would eat after Eve was full. The Dragon was disappointed that she hadn't been able to dive into the bowl but didn't dwell on it long. She had fruit to munch on. She made a few small noises at Marco between orange slices, doing her best to thank him even though he couldn't understand her.
Cyren was quiet while Katie asked about the camera. He assumed the camera would be handed over to the Baron soon so he was mostly there to listen now. He really wished he could understand the Cutiefly and Tsareena. For a moment he was sure the Tsareena was going to try to pick a fight with the Cutiefly. When she left he was relieved. Fights breaking out amongst the Pokemon would only make the situation worse. From the sound of it there was definitely a chance that she managed to get a picture of whoever was on the stage...but also a good chance they might not get to see it because the camera was damaged. "Are the images saved to a card or something similar? Anything we can transfer to a different device to see them." rooker Elfy  Archduchess Adelaide Beatrice Albert The Archduchess sat on her birthday throne, and as time passed she continued to steam in anger. Had all of this not taken place she would have already excused herself and retired in her usual suite in the hotel and she could really enjoy her time for her birthday relaxing in quite and completely alone except maybe family. But now, Her beloved Rhya was injured and in the hospital, and she was stuck here to watch the investigation commence. She had every faith in Demetri to solve it, but the slow progress was agonizing for her. She had quite a bit of patience but burned though it was the young woman she watched grow up get injured. She remained silent as she continued to stroke the more nervous Snubull. The Pink Snubull, Princess, however was sitting at the old woman's skirts. The spectacle of the Spinarak dragging the Kabuto onto the stage caught the attention of the Archduchess, and guards as they watched the two slowly make their way towards them. Archduchess Adelaide's upset expression slowly fell blank as she looked down to the spider. She recognized the strange looking brown Pokemon from before, however this one, she hadn't seen yet. The black fossil had already helped before so she wasn't recoiling from the bug. Meanwhile the Snubbull was first to react to the Bug. The Shiny Snubbull remained in it's owner's arm for safety, but Princess was standing her ground with her chest popped up to the bug. "I don't have to do anything you say." She growled angrily at the bug, and approaching fossil. Adelaide knew her dog well, so she scooped up Princess and sat her safely on her lap before she could go after the bug. She pat her on the head to make her settle down. After she removed the protective pup, she turned her attention back to the two small Pokemon. The spider dropped a web pouch of beads and began to speak quite a bit, while the Kabuto chimed in every so often. The Archduchess kept her focus on the two, however her eyes slowly drifted over to the Guard standing near her. They met eyes expression a bit of confusion, but both then looked back to the Pokemon. The Kabuto leaned over revealing some other items. She believed she had the idea. "Oh, you two believe you found these and they might be clues?" She questioned waving an arm at one of the guards with gloves. The guard knelt down and slowly and carefully untangled the blonde hair and scale, clearly nervous to be touching the fossil. He also lifted the web of beads to the Archduchess to show her, and let her examine the three items. "Hmm, Blonde hair, or could it be fur?" She questioned looking out at the Pokemon and blondes in the room. The next was a scale and the webbed objects looked like blue beads. "I'll have to tell my Grandson, do you have any idea what these are?" She asked to the two Pokemon. She didn't have enough knowledge on Pokemon to tell if it could be just hair or fur, same for the scale.
Archduchess Adelaide thought what they had said was figured out, as one of the guards moved to put the items on the table with other clues. However the Abra floating above the table turned towards the guard still by Adelaide, and reached it's long finger out to tap the guard's head lightly. As it did the Guard flinched and grabbed his head with a groan. "Geez, try to be more gentle next time" he commented though his teeth. The Archduchess looked over in confusion. "Our Abra guard translated what they said, just all at once. I need a second to process it and let this headache fade." He commented as he winced and let his eye shut. The Abra however turned back and returned to it's floating nap like appearance. The Guard looked up to the wall where the stinger still sat. "The Spinarak is confessing it had shot the poison stinger. He was wanting to sting the attacker." He commented, still rubbing his head. She looked to the Spinarak with a look of disbelief. "By taking a literal shot in the dark?" She questioned with a raise of her eyebrow. She wasn't impressed by his efforts one bit. She placed a hand over her chin as she thought. Maybe Thinking of a possible punishment, the Bug did shoot in the direction of two royals, but in an effort to help. But she was going to punish the attacker, and their aids so it would only be fair. She also warned trainers and Pokemon alike to handle themselves or they would be punished. However that did take place before hand. "Alright. I suppose a fair punishment would be no deserts for you or your trainer for the rest of the investigations." She stated. The Guards looked at the Archduchess with matching confusion. She saw this, though they would never dare out right question her. "I cannot in good conscious punish this... Pokemon for a near accident. However we can now honestly say All attackers have been punished according to their crimes." She stated sitting back in her chair calmly as if it was normal. She figured it was at least something to say, she was always brutally honest. She would have stated they didn't punish for the needle. However the culprit came forward and she believed the bug so she didn't think there was any real harm. "Okay... And the Kabuto said it found the hair and scale between the fo-Kitchen and the stage." The Guard explained to the Archduchess. She looked over to the space. "That maybe how who ever got on the stage or off... If we believe its important, it could direct us at someone or a Pokemon. " She stated confidently which she found uplifting. The only problem is she didn't know enough about Pokemon to identify the purpleish scale, or if the long blonde hair was a human 's or Pokemon. However she could see that the beads might have been beading from a dress.

Their conversation moved on to her home town, which Ridley could tell she had Liz's up most attention. Ridley kind of enjoyed the attention. It was like having a little sister look up to her. It reminded her of her youngest sibling Rachel. She did love her little sister, even if it seems like she's going to turn out like her goodie goodie older sister. She had been around her Jynx, and Mismagius long enough to know what a Psychic communication sounded like, she just didn't know where it was coming from. Her sly expression shifted to one that was confused as both her and Jessica looked around for the source. She spotted a teenager with an Espeon, Umbreon and Typhlosion. He was polite in asking her if she could speak with her. Her expression smoothed back out to one that was charming, at least her eyes. Her mouth held a mischievous smirk. He had asked to speak with her and she found it almost to humorous not to comment on. " I mean, Can you? Actually speak to her?" Ridley asked him with a raise of her eyebrow. Liz in turn commented on her staying where she was. Now this was going to go one of two ways that she thought of. She could clearly see that they knew each other. Liz was either trying to be friendly, or he was in trouble. Either way she was here first so she didn't plan on moving. '' He didn't ask to speak with you alone." The blonde shrugged, reaching into her purse and pulled out a sucker, unwrapping it in one tug and popped it into her mouth. " Go ahead, pretend I'm not here." She commented to him with a wave of her hand. " Though I won't make it easy." She added with a toothy smile. She left it unclear if this meant because of her looks, or because she was planning on interjecting. Meanwhile, Jessica was giving her disapproving looks that she was ignoring. The copper haired Jynx shifted her position over towards the other side of Ridley, opposite of the male, since she had lost her conversation buddy. But where she lost one, she gaining another. Amma had seen the growing group Ridley had gotten into, and the old ghost didn't trust the blonde to not get herself into a fight. So she began to float her way across the ground. Ridley was her first and foremost priority. Not baby sitting. Delphine watched the ghost with wide eyes. " I'm sorry I have to stick with her," She exclaimed and jumped up to follow Amma. They made their way back to their trainer, the old ghost floating behind Ridley, while the Delphox moved next to Jessica. " What did I miss?" She whispered to her friend but the copper Jynx hushed her so they didn't gossip in front of everyone while they were right there. That would be fairly rude. "I came over here to apologize for upsetting you." He told Liz, cutting Ridley out of the psychic connection altogether. She might not have willingly left him alone to make this any easier, but two could play this game. He wasn't going to make her creeper vibe any easier either. "If now isn't a good time for this, I could give you some space and we can talk later?" He offered, feeling incredibly uncomfortable. He wasn't one who was used to interacting with other people. He never had real friends, so the idea that he'd have to know exactly what to say to make things right with Liz was a daunting prospect.
Noctowl was no further along in his investigation than he was ten minutes ago. He ed his head to the side while letting the information process. "I see. So then you have no ideas who might have tried to hurt that lady?" His eyes roamed over to the Archduchess. "If you find anything important to the investigation, let me know. I can help you communicate with the Humans."

Elizabeth admitted that the camera flashes were her trying to capture the criminal allegedly. That was one puzzle piece figured out and confirmed. But not one of the important puzzle pieces. He had almost gotten the camera from her when the Tsarenna interrupted and the female in questioned recoiled it back. The Baron didn't find the suspicious, it was a fair reaction to what appeared to be an aggressive Pokémon. He couldn't understand the conversation between the small Pokémon and the larger fruit Pokémon, but it did seem to be rather heated on both sides. The fruit admitted to belonging to the red headed trainer before stomping off. "That was...Something." He commented with an uneasy expression, scratching his temple under his nicely sculpted hair. An Absol soon replaced the fruit, but wasn't near as aggressive. He was worried he would have to break up a battle. With that out of the way, he turned his attention back to the interview at hand. Demetri held out his hand again to Elizabeth. "I appreciate that you'll helping out with the investigation." He told her with a nod, and lifted the bag out of her hand and began to look in at all of the pieces of the Camera that were smashed. He reached in and began moving the pieces around, and found that the camera was indeed broken. That was unfortunate. He didn't have much to question her on, especially with Cyren's question, he didn't want to draw away from what kind of camera this was. He closed the top of the bag, but kept it in his possession. He wasn't going to let this possible clue go. He was paying attention to Cyren and Elizabeth, but he took a moment to look around. He wanted to try and make this more officiant. As he did he did notice that there were more items being put on the clues table. He needed to know what those were. He turned back to Elizabeth for the answer, but he believed he had an idea he needed to put into effect.Elizabeth PlumThe Cutiefly never backed down from the Fruit Pokémon threatening her. She was in fact nervous, because she wasn't exactly a Pokémon trained in battle, but she wasn't going to get bullied into going against her trainer's better interest. She buzzed in refusal to the Pokémon's threat. But before it could escalade into something, the Pokémon stomped away. The blonde watched anxiously at the aggressive Pokémon, but let out a sigh of relief as she left. She appreciated that the Pokémon was seemingly trying to help, from what she could guess, but she really was afraid it would lead to a battle, which she really didn't want to happen for both Pokémon's safety. She was shaken form her worries as Demetri spoke to her about her camera again. "Oh, of course, Sorry." She replied sounding a bit frazzled. Brushing her short hair behind her ear and held out her bag again. He plucked the strap out of her hands rather quickly which caught her off guard, but she relinquished it none the less. The male Cyren questioned if it was a digital camera with a memory card. She nodded with a sad smile. "Yes, It's digital. I wanted to bring my expensive camera to take the best photos for this." She told him. She looked to the bag in Demetri's hands then back to Cyren. "It does have a memory card, but I don't know what we could put it in to look at the pictures since my camera is broken..." She explained to him. She was good with cameras, but coming to the fact that it needed to be repaired or they needed to look at the pictures on the card, she had no idea how that could be. "If someone else had a camera, I would want to take a look at those pictures myself." She offered with a nod.
Meanwhile, Cutiefly was still fluttering in the same place, calming down from the previous aggressive conversation. When she heard the next voice, she looked down quickly from being startled. Her little yellow body puffed at the greeting. However, her hair slowly lowered back to place as she let out a sigh of relief after seeing her calm aura that matched her friendly and cautious tone in her apology. "Um, sure I can. What do you want to know about her?" She asked her in her small voice, lowering in the air to speak face to face with the canine Pokémon to make it easier on both of them. Despite wanting to know about her human, she then asked about the male. She looked from Demetri then back to the Absol. "The Baron? That's how we know him... He's part of the royal family." The Cutiefly answered a little confused at the question. She then continued on that he had been making her uneasy the entire night. That Cutiefly could understand, not so much as to the reason of the uneasiness, but it made sense for the question now. The fairy knew the legends of Absol and their nature. She of course haven't met one, but most knew that Absol predicted events or caused them. The fairy could tell from her aura that this Absol wasn't causing any disasters. Or it wasn't in her nature at least. With this the fairy continued to expand on her answer. "Well, He did invite us to work this event. Elizabeth has interviewed some the royal family and contributed to reports. But I think that's all." She told the Absol. They did receive an invitation from the Baron himself, as did some of the elite guests. Knowing the Absol's ability, the fairy decided to look into it as well sense her own abilities worked differently. She stared at the Baron for a moment before turning back to the Absol. "I can't sense what your sensing... But his emotions and energies are heightened. But so are a few other people and Pokémon here I've noticed." She told her. It might not have been what she wanted to hear but that just was what Cutiefly was getting.(The next post for Demetri/Elizabeth will be posted April 9th, unless everyone has responded before hand to which I'll post sooner.)

Elfy gravity_resistant Marco DirkMarco watched as his temporary companion Pokémon were reacting to the food. Eva looked like she was about to pounce on the food before Venus stopped her. The exotic man couldn't help but laugh at the excitement of the Pokémon. Marco wouldn't have minded at all if she dove onto the table to eat. That would have been pretty funny. Though it might bring quite a bit of unnecessary attention. The tan male slid an empty plate over to Sableye so he wouldn't feel left out. The ghost looked over to Marco then around to Eva and then back to Noctowl. However he sat down on the table next to the plate and began to pretend to eat like Marco and Eva were, despite there being nothing on the plate. Marco ate a few more gs before reaching over and scratching Eva on the head as she made her noises between bites. He would withdraw his hand as food was offered to her though. Seeming to know not to get between a larger Pokémon and it's food. "I hope you enjoy it. You deserve it more then some of this lot." He told them with a grin as he got one of the orange slices.
Meanwhile, with Sableye still sitting on the table, giving all of his attention to the new bird friend he had. He didn't know much about the new language Marco had taught him upon catching him, or social ques so he could only assume that the bird knew what he meant about the Pokeball being there then wasn't. The Bird said "I see" so the ghost only knew that it must have seen too. But he then moved on to questioning who might have wanted to hurt the Archduchess. The ghost stared at the bird blankly for a long second before looking to the lady on the chair for another long second. The ghost looked back to the bird. "I not know old lady" He shook his head. He shrugged like Marco did previously and pointed back to the tan man. "He knows lady?" He added. It was worded as a statement however with the hiss of a voice it sounded more like a question. The bird then commented about communicating to the humans. The ghost's eyes sparkled again as he looked to Marco then to the bird again. "Com-cate the shiny ball?" He tried to say, about communicating what he said about the Diamond ball. His eyes gleamed again as his smile returned, seemingly happy he had this thought. "Com-cate to him I want food to." He requested of the Bird and pointed to Marco again. The Sableye wasn't able to speak to Humans like some could, so all Marco could understand was a series of noises and hisses. But he was use to it after traveling all this way.

Coconut replaces the smell of the bar, and I don't know if it's her or the rum. ♪ Katie, who was becoming a less bashful Trainer by the day, listened to the conversation pan out. The flashes had in fact come from Elizabeth's camera. She handed over the camera willingly enough, which made Katie suspect she had nothing to hide. However, she still had no proof Demetri was innocent in this. She didn't want him to take off with the camera if he was involved, they might lose that evidence forever. The only thing was, how to keep the camera in sight without arousing suspicion from Demetri. She smiled, got to her feet, and cleared her throat.
"Excuse me!" She shouted, trying to get everyone to settle down enough for everyone to hear her. "We have reason to believe the culprit was caught on camera! The camera was damaged, but the pictures are saved on it's memory card. Does anyone have a camera we can borrow, so that we might all be cleared and the rightful person will be arrested?" There, now if anyone looked scared or Demetri tried to quiet her, they'd be cast under suspicion by the guards and guests alike. Backpack

Cyren Braithwaite 
Cyren tried to recall if he had anything with him that they could possibly put the memory card in...then felt dumb for not realizing sooner that he was making it more complicated than it needed to be. He took out his phone, checking it over to see if there was a spot where a card could be inserted. Up until then he hadn't had a reason to check if his phone had a spot for SD cards. When he found what he was looking for he went to work removing the locks on his phone so his presence wouldn't be required to unlock it. He had to go find Yami. Or that was the plan until the Ballroom suddenly got a whole lot noisier between Katie shouting and Yami hissing on the stage. At least he knew where his Kabuto was now. He glanced over towards the hissing fossil to confirm he was okay before offering Demetri his phone. "The memory card might work with my phone. It's already unlocked if you would like to try it. Couldn't hurt." Cyren would offer to try it himself but he felt that might look suspicious. Having Demetri test it himself was probably the safer route.
The Noivern was content to keep on munching on every last bit of fruit she was offered until her head was scratched. She managed to lick Marco's hand before Venus offered her another piece of fruit. Despite everything going on in the Ballroom, Eve was in an amazing mood. Good food and good company were excellent distractions for a young Noivern. She grabbed an orange out of the bowl, placing it on Sableye's plate. She thought it strange that he was pretending to eat instead of actually eating some fruit. Now he had a tasty treat to munch on too! When she had finally eaten her fill, she cooed happily and curled up on the floor near the table. Napping with a full belly was always nice. Since the Noivern was resting, Venus finally took a g for herself. She nibbled on it as she scanned the room, observing the locations of each of Cyren's Pokemon. Making sure they stayed out of trouble was her job. She winced when she noticed the Rockruff and Kabuto on the stage, then sighed. "Of course they are." She muttered. They were in the perfect spot to get themselves into trouble. She watched them carefully, preparing herself to go retrieve them the moment it looked like they were doing something they shouldn't be. She did not want her trainer getting into trouble because of a irritable fossil and a much too full of himself puppy.Partners: White Prince Of Wonderland rooker

Elizabeth Morgan Liz wasn't sure how to take what she was given. He had been straightforward with his intention and even offered her an out. She was so surprised she recoiled as if offended by the statement. The young woman takes a moment to process her thoughts, lowering her gaze and letting her bangs partially shield her expression. It felt like a way to self-isolate sometimes. It let her feel in control when she thought she was losing it. A slow, deep breath and she raised her head so that Julian could see her mouth. "I don't think we should talk about it. Not yet." She answered finally. The words might have been cruel had she not been smiling at him. She opted to use the link he made to answer him properly. "I really appreciate this. More than you could know. Right now we should focus on straightening out this jerk, whoever he is. After that, I wanna talk." She paused at this, a palpable hesitation in her body language. "Just you and me." Maybe that phrasing promised more to the young male than she meant it to but she was willing to give him a private audience after putting pride aside for her. They'd had a misunderstanding before and her feelings were still raw, too much chance for him to be misunderstood and cause another incident. Maybe she would catch the criminals involved tonight and get to beat up on one of them. After that Liz would definitely be easier to talk to! Beating the snot out of someone always made her less combative in other ways. "Maybe later?" She said out loud. There was a good chance Ridley already knew she'd been excluded from a private conversation given the way Liz physically responded to a speech no one else had heard. Still, Liz felt it necessary to vocalize that she was finished. Ridley also seemed like she was interested in the result. Maybe acting like she was dismissing him would entertain the blonde? Liz had no idea.
Leah's response was perturbed. She didn't like what she was told at all. Cutiefly had been completely honest as far as she could tell but none of it helped her feelings. Her aura reflected this lack of resolution even as the Absol bowed her head to the Cutiefly. "I see. Thank you. That was helpful. I feel more at ease." She didn't feel better at all. She had been certain Elizabeth's Pokemon would have some insight to provide the Calamity Pokemon but all it did was make her wonder what else was going on here. She gave the Baron one last look, then gave a slow nod of her head to him. Unless some serious shifts occurred soon, her feelings only involved him. He was not going to be the cause of what she was dreading. That didn't fill her with confidence, unfortunately. She looked over to Elizabeth and slowly nodded as if deciding on something. "What about your human? What does she think of this situation?" It felt like a stupid question but even if nothing new came to light, Leah at least owed Cutiefly a question about the human she had initially approached. "What about you? Are you doing alright?" She was floundering. Leah had hoped some helpful piece of information would've come out of her questions but Cutiefly was showing to be smarter than that if anything was going on. She didn't expect to gain anything now. Asking how they felt just seemed like the polite thing to do. They were being cooperative and helpful after all. Even if Elizabeth didn't get to know what the soft growls of the Absol meant, Leah was trying to make the woman and her Pokemon feel a little more at ease.
If Spike had been able to push himself any further into the floor he'd have squashed himself. Adelaide sounded fully prepared to lay down the law on the miserable little Spinarak. He turned his head away at the mention of a proper punishment and braced for the worst. The Snubbulls were going to eat him! An Abra was going to blow him away! Something terrible would happen at any moment! He almost didn't hear the elderly lady. "No...desserts?" When Spike.exe resumed function and processed her declaration, he couldn't help looking straight up into the woman's eyes. "Really?" He was incredulous. The Archduchess had just been informed that this idiot Spinarak had tried to shoot someone and nearly hit her and all he got was banned from the dessert table. A moment of consideration and his expression fell. No, wait, that was exactly the right punishment. Liz was going to kill him for getting her banned from the dessert table! The Spinarak stared, then slowly bowed his head. "I won't fail my trainer again. We will protect you, ma'am!" When he wasn't being a panicky little freak, Spike was a good shot. He wouldn't let panic stop him from proving that next time. Deciding it was time to go find his human again, Spike lowered his head again to the Archduchess and turned away to hop off the stage. As he jumped down, the Spinarak flickered and shone with the light of Evolution. Suddenly, the tiny spider wasn't so tiny anymore! He looked around with his sharpened gaze. He blinked once, then again. He was taller now. And he felt it was much easier to move around. Unless there were groups. He didn't like to walk through groups of people. He turned back to Yami and braced his foremost legs against the stage as he was now big enough to simply reach over the top. "Thank you for your help. If you need help, call for me. I won't let anything escape!" He called out to the fossil Pokemon. Once he had declared his willingness to help Yami in the future, Spike turned away from the stage to return to his trainer's side as originally announced.
Liz looked back to Ridley once things with Julian had resolved, offering the blonde an apologetic smile. "I--err--sorry. We're traveling together. His Arcanine scared my Spinarak earlier and I'm still kind of sore about it." She explained, though it was somewhat silly to explain herself. Everyone saw and heard her tantrum earlier. One would have to be deaf and blind to not know that part. She yelped when Spike scuttled up to the group again. The new Ariados dipped his head down to the group politely and Liz very nearly kicked him upside his head! "AHH--SPIKE!? Spike, what did you do!" The scream died as soon as her spider cowered at her shock. No other arachnid was that much of a wuss. She had no idea how to respond to her evolved spider so she yelled. Then she knelt down to place her hand gingerly on his head. Spike definitely appreciated this. A slow breath later and Liz smiled. "That's really great, Spike. Maybe tell me next time before you evolve!" That would not be an issue and it was hard to tell if she was serious or not. Anyone wanting to read her mind would be able to find she knew Spinarak evolved to Ariados and simply was not sure if Ariados evolved or not. There were loads of things she didn't know about Pokemon. It was reasonable to assume she might have just never heard about Ariados evolving before. Spike reacted to Amarie first with a clearly uneasy expression. Oh no. Tonight got worse. He was no fan of ghosts himself but fear of the Mismagius was not what had him anxious. Liz looked up to see the Ghost and her face went white. She stammered as the witch-like Pokemon hovered behind her new friend. The redhead moved slowly at first, careful. She didn't want to alert the ghost that she was able to see it. Considering Amarie was in no way trying to sneak or hide herself she had no reason to wonder about the flickering glances she was given. Except for the fact that Liz looked not only terrified but growing increasingly angry. This little girl had no love for Ghost Pokemon even though she now owned some. It was a shame, really, Delphine was so pretty and needed her chin scratched. But no. Liz had to "save" her new friend from...her own Pokemon. If Ridley or her Pokemon didn't catch on that the redheaded woman was about to do something stupid it would be a short wait to see what she was doing. A quick lunge at Ridley to shove her aside at Jessica and Delphine before jumping at Amarie. "Watch out!" At what point it made sense to assume a Mismagius was not owned by somebody was beyond reason. But there it was. Liz was trying to wrestle Ridley's Mismagius just for showing up to the party. He glanced around the crowd hoping to spot Marcellus. Though he didn't know where the other male was, he wasn't worried. Marcellus was a smart guy, and he had a strong team. Cronus and the others wouldn't let him get into any real trouble. He wouldn't bother the guy telepathically, he might be busy doing something important. Or using the restroom - which would fosho be awkward. Julian was about to sit back down in his eat, but looking over his Pokemon he realized that he was tired of sitting around.
So the motley assortment remained where they were, taking it easy. Julian lead Umbreon, Espeon, and Typhlosion over to the table of clues so he could look over what was there. The clues were odd to say the least. Julian hadn't spend any time interacting with other guests besides that plump woman who was rather rude, so he couldn't exactly pinpoint what belonged to her or not. He'd think back to try remembering what her pearls looked like and whether or not the strand on the table looked like hers or not (Prince, this would require a bit of info).
That's when he realized he wasn't alone. The host of this evening, the man who'd put all this together, was also looking them over as well. "Hello." Julian thought telepathically, unaware that Katie was about to make a scene and distract the crowd. "My name is Julian I don't know what good I am outside of battling, but if I can help... well, I will." He eyed the man, wondering if this guy had any ideas who the culprit might be. "I know a lot of us just want to go home."
Meanwhile, of the Pokemon not currently grouped up around Julian's now-vacant table, Noctowl was the only one off by himself doing his own thing. The ghost seemed to be understanding what he was saying, but he couldn't be sure. "Oh... sure, hang on." He hadn't expected that request. Turning his head without turning his body at all, he stared at Marco's head. "Sorry to interrupt -" He began, trying to get the guy's attention. "-it's just that your ghost says he's hungry, and wants food as well." BACKPACK

gravity_resistant Elfy rooker Elemental ParadisityArchduchess Adelaide Beatrice AlbertAdelaide had dealt what she thought was a fair punishment for the bug. It did fire a dangerous needle at her and her grandson, however she did believe this bug that was practically shivering as it sat there wasn't the culprit. How would a measly little spider steal a priceless Pokémon, stab someone, an shoot a needle? The idea alone was ridiculous to her. He did need to be punished, but she thought he was innocent enough. Had it been a human, or what she would believe to be a more intelligent, or cognizant, Pokémon things might have been different story. While the angry little Fossil seems to be the most helpful here, having turned it what seemed to be three clues total. The Guard recoiled quickly once it had the clues away from the Fossil in fear. "I appreciate that you both brought these items to us, they do appear like they were out of place." She thanked Yami and Spike. Both Pokémon seemed to be communicating to each other, none of which the Abra felt the need to send to the guard who was still nursing his headache. "And you," she began looking directly at the spider. "Don't fire attacks blindly. It should have been two tragedies instead of one." She scolded, but the bug soon jumped off the stage only to emerge as a fully evolved Ariados. That caused the Archduchess to lean back in her chair in surprise. Not fear, but surprise. However Princess began barking and snarling at the new enemy she was ready to eat, but the Archduchess hushed her and brought her to her lips and gave her a peck on the head to calm her down. The snubbull remained leering at the larger bug, while Killer was trying to make himself as small as he could to go unnoticed. The Rockruff soon after hopped up and began to smell the items, while another young male and three Pokémon, made their way to look at the Clues. Adelaide didn't attempt to distract him. She let both him and the canine look them over, knowing the Abra would protect against any wrong doings to the clues. As the small Canine began to smell over the new clues on the stage. The purple scale, the blue beads, and the blonde hair. The blonde hair would have two scents on it, one he would obviously recognize as Yami from it's trip to the stage. However the strong sent, of who the hair belonged too was unfamiliar. It was clearly a human's hair, rather then a Pokémon. It would a strong sweet scent to the hair. While the small group of light blue and white beads were loose, they were still being held together by the webbing used to carry It up onto the stage. The melted beads wouldn't have any scent left on them, having been burned away on the miniature fire that was started to light the room. However the intact assortment would have a scent on them, however this is unfamiliar to the canine too. Meanwhile, the final clue for him to smell would have the smell of Yami as well. However, the dominating scent was familiar. Very familiar. It would almost look familiar too. It seemed to hold the sent of his very own teammate, Noivern. While the canine was using it's sense of smell, Julian was using his sight. With his interaction in mind, and looking over one of the clues, the assortment of light blue, white, and clear beads. As he would think back to their interaction, or really what any pearls would look like. The teenager would find that these assortment of light blue and white beads weren't pearls at all. They were in fact beads. rather small Light blue, white, and clear beads. Stella was in fact wearing Pearls much larger then these smaller beads. However they still may seem a bit familiar to Julian. Mars caught a scent on all three clues! 2 unfamiliar and 1 seemingly familiar.Julian found that the light blue and white beads were in fact beads and not pearls!Demetri Nathaniel AlbertDemetri had been mulling over the idea of doing things a little differently. He needed a better and quicker way to get through the case. It appeared his Grandmother was getting involved and helping, seeing that she was interacting with Pokémon on the stage, which greatly surprised him. She was keeping her temper tame, but he didn't know how much longer this would last before she started locking up everyone here that wasn't family. Maybe still family. He figured an easier way to get through this, and was ready to explain it to the group when the well behaved blonde shouted out. She actually accomplished what he was planning to do, announcing the problem and asking for a solution from the party goers. The Baron remained quiet as Kathrine spoke, and looked around the room to see if there would be any takers. He didn't suspect the usual 'elite' that usually attended Balls would have anything of the like, but trainers seemed to be more prepared to be handy. Seeing as they usually were on their own on their travels. Before anyone else could react, and it seemed everyone in the room ignored Katie which bothered the Baron a bit. Cyren chimed in, in which he might be able to assist. He unlocked his Phone, and offered it to him. The Baron accepted the phone, and looked it over. He looked to Elizabeth to see her reaction but she appeared to be just as curious if it would work as he was. "Alright then, lets try it." He commented slinging the camera bag over his shoulder and began to look on the busted camera for where the memory card was. He picked the latch open, only to have it pop off the camera entirely. He gave an awkward look to the reporter, having caused even more damager to her camera, but slide the memory card out. It was still in one piece, and no scratches on it. He slid it into the opening of Cyren's phone as a "Downloading" screen popped up. "Perfect" He exclaimed with a grin. He looked back to the group, as the loading bar began to slowly move. "While this downloads, I would need you Cyren to follow me, since this is your phone, and Elizabeth I would need you as well." He stated as he turned towards the stage. "You're more then welcome to follow too Katie, you've been quite a bit of help so far." He offered to her. He lead the group back to the stage. and stood up on it, opposite side of the stage as the clues. He gestured Elizabeth to follow him, as well as Cyren if he wanted to, and Katie if she followed. "We're going to start conducting the interrogations up on here. So everyone can see and ask questions, as well as we can be here to see any clues." He explained, projecting his voice to anyone who might be listening in the room. However another Voice rang out in his head. The male stated that his name was Julian, and he was willing to help. Demetri didn't recognize the name as anyone he personally invited, so he began to scan the unfamiliar faces until he found the young male on the other side of the stage. "Man, I've gotta learn how to do that." He commented under his breath, before giving him a nod. "I will appreciate any help that I can get. I want to get everyone home safe too." He responded out loud, unsure of how to respond back telepathically. However that did give him time to look over the clues, the hair, beads, and scale, which made him hum as he thought. He didn't have long to think as the phone buzzed in his hand, notifying that the download was complete. "Alright, lets take a look at these photos." He spoke, holding the phone up so any of those on the stage could look along with him. Demetri was swiping fairly quickly, seeing that they started from the beginning from the party. Though it showed that Elizabeth had gotten multiple pictures from everyone attending, most of which were flattering photos for each of them, though there was the occasional bad photo. The Baron didn't slow until after the gifts were open and the photos neared the time of the crime. The photos before it revealed that Elizabeth was near the stage, obviously due to taking the picture. However, captured on the camera, Everyone in the room were focused on the gift giving, all facing the stage, but the two young woman in black, Ridley and Rhienne, who were in captured in conversation, and Andy who was seemingly focused on the food table. While Lucielle and Stella weren't in the photos leading up to the crime. That being said, everyone was in range to get to the stage and back in their allotted time. He swiped to the next photo, revealing the first picture with flash in the dark. The exposure was clearly off, as she took a photo and it was slightly out of focus but not blurry. It showed the start of the fight between the guard and Demetri, Rhya already tending to Adelaide with her back turned to the camera, while the Audino's arms were out as he blindly tried to find his way to Rhya's side. The next photo was much more out of focus but still clear enough. Demetri and the Baron had already fallen off the stage, The Audino was knocked face down onto the ground, and Rhya had already been sitting in the Duchess's lap with the knife in her shoulder. It would seem that Elizabeth had missed the attacker. However... The last photo appeared to have a bright reddish tent to it. Despite the flash having clearly gone off. Demetri's jaw flexed as he clearly was unhappy with the cameras results. "The person isn't on camera." He stated in a clearly unhappy tone, not angry, maybe more disappointed. As he stated this, he couldn't notice another commotion involving the red head on the other side of the room. This further made him feel uncomfortable with trusting the short female. Katie and Cyren managed to get the photo's off of the camera! However it seemed the criminals wasn't caught on camera. Though there may be something peculiar with the final photo.Elizabeth PlumElizabeth didn't have much to respond to, Kathrine took the lead and called out if anyone had a camera to use. She couldn't imagine so, but Cyren had the resolution all along with his phone. He offered his phone to the Baron, as he looked at her for answers. The short blonde haired female gave a subtle shrug. "It might work?" She gave with an unsure tone to her voice. She couldn't help the sigh that escaped her mouth as the Baron broke off another piece of the camera. It was just saddening to her at this point. "But I don't know if it'll-" She began to chime, but The Baron seemed to have started the download. Her unsure reaction faded as she looked more curious as she stepped closer to see the screen. However The Baron stated he needed her and Cyren to follow, and Katie could accompany them as well. She looked unsure again, but gave a small smile to Katie, hopping to have a friend with her as they moved to the stage. Demetri announced they would be having the interrogations in front of everyone rather in private conversations. She would have more then agreed if she wasn't the first to be questioned in front of everyone. They began to flip through the photos, only to reveal the criminal wasn't on the camera. "What?" she questioned with her browns frowned a bit. "I thought they would have been caught on camera..." She stated upset she wasn't able to confirm anyone as the culprit allowing everyone to go home.
The Cutiefly couldn't help but notice this didn't put the Absol at ease, despite her words. It was her ability after all. The Absol questioned her about her own human, and what she thought. The fairy looked to Elizabeth and took a moment. "It is upsetting for her, we both don't like violence." The fairy commented in her tiny voice. "I think she feels bad, but she knows that one guy over there from reports. I agree that he could be behind it still." She told Leah, trying to subtly gesture to Marco. The Baron might have switched his focus but the Fairy had agreed with her trainer. Leah then asked how she was doing, which made her take another breath. "I'm alright. I was just hopping tonight was going to go okay. The She might be able to rebuild back into where she wanted to be." Cutiefly explained. She turned and watched her human start to make her way towards the stage with the other humans. However she stayed near Leah. "I've learned to trust my instincts and abilities. Maybe you should too, and you can sense something I can't." She added, still sensing that she wasn't at ease yet. "There are a few heightened auras and emotions, maybe there's someone else we haven't noticed yet. " Cutiefly added with what could be a shrug, maybe just an idea. She obviously didn't want people looking at her human, and agreed that Marco might be guilty. But maybe there was more too it?(The next post for Demetri/Elizabeth/Adelaide will be posted April 18th, unless everyone has responded before hand to which I'll post sooner.)

Elfy gravity_resistant Marco DirkSableye continued to reach over to his empty plate and pretend to eat fruit alongside his large friend Eva. He wanted to join her in eating so he continued to munch on nothing while staring seemingly blankly at the Owl. However he hesitated once his hand landed on the Orange his friend gifted him. He sat there sit, seemingly processing that his hand actually found something on his plate rather then air, having not seen the Noivern make the delivery. He looked over at his hand resting on the orange, then looked up to Noivern then back to the orange. He slowly lifted the Orange off of the plate and stared at it for a few seconds as if he were thinking about what to do with it. This caught Marco's attention, as he watched his Pokémon, curious to see what he was going to do with an orange. He had seen the Noivern eat it, so that's why she gave it for him, he should eat it too. He slowly opened his mouth and slid the fruit into it, and slowly bit down on it. Clearly unsure with his current situation. He remained there frozen as his teeth remained sunken into the juicy fruit. His gem eyes gleaned for a second and seemed to very quickly what looked like dim. He slowly leaned over the plate and opened his mouth, letting the Orange fall out of his mouth. His smile was gone as he opened and closed his mouth trying to get the foreign taste out. He looked up to the Noivern who was his friend. "Thank you. I will keep gift, but not eat." He told her in his hissing voice as he picked up the orange again and the orange sank into the shadows of his hand. He then gave her his usual wide toothy grin. However he turned his attention back to the Owl who agreed to pass on the information he gave him. His head tilted as the owl only translated that he wanted food. This made the ghost think what they talked about wasn't important. He then hobbled around to look at Marco.
Marco couldn't help but snicker at his little ghoul as he tried his first orange. He knew that Sableye usually ate minerals from caves so he found the reaction funny. He turned his attention back to the Noivern who decided she was full and began to lay down. He used his already freshly licked and sticky hand and lightly pat on her head as she nestled into a nap. The lick seemingly didn't bother him, and he used the same hand just in case she offered him another lick that was sticky from the orange juices. After sitting back up he just carelessly whipped his hand on the table cloth. He looked to the Noctowl as his head spun around to face him, Marco couldn't help but be amused by the bird's spinning head. He commented on His ghost being hungry. "Yeah, I don't think that orange did much for him." Marco joked, reaching into his leather bag, seemingly finding it unlatched. His amused expression dropped as he quickly moved the bag into his lap and began searching in his bag only to relax when everything was still in it. He reached in an pulled out a Geode. "I know it's not you're favorite, but it'll hold you over." Marco commented, holding the decent sized Geode out in his hand. She only stopped to give Delphine a smile of recognition as she arrived, only to return her focus back to the two. She didn't pay any mind to Amma, considering the ghost was behind her, but also she didn't exactly care for the ghost anyways. She clearly respected the ghost, she had saved Ridley many times. Teleporting her out of danger, spotting danger, and even lifting her to safety away from those things at the Ball, as well as keeping a boulder from crushing her and Copper. Ridley couldn't deny her respect for the powerful ghost, but they both got on each other's nerves. The teenager admitted that he actually couldn't speak for himself which made Ridley raise her nicely shaped eyebrows, and grew another sly grin on her face. " That sure is unfortunate." She retorted, clearly not upset or embarrassed by commenting on his inability to speak for himself. Just like she had no problem with Poking fun at Copper. He wasn't tragic, or handicapped in her book. He was doing just find, he had a pretty friend, possibly, and a Typhlosion and two evolved eevees. He even had a Pokémon to help communicate for him. It was all fair game on poking fun at him like she would anyone else. " I'm meeting all kinds of trainers recently. First a blind guy that can see, and now a mute that can talk. What a great world we live in." She commented to Delphine. Delphine usually was someone she could freely talk to, however this comment confused the fox, and made her look at teenager with a confused expression. Neither of which Jessica or Amma appreciated the comment. However, Ridley was unaware of the conversation going on that she was cut out of, as was Delphine. Jynx and Amma however were in-tuned with their abilities. enough to hear the conversation going back and forth, neither of which believed it was any business of theirs to let Ridley in on. " I'm confused." She commented blinking, but Jessica put her hand on Delphine's shoulder and mouthed that she would fill her in later. Ridley shifted her weight as her amused expression faded. She wasn't stupid, she slowly was catching on that she was excluded from some conversation. But right as her suspicions grew, Liz commented "maybe later" and he began to leave. He gave her a dirty look, which the blonde returned with a y grin, and waved at him with her fingers. " Cya, Was nice talking with you!" She called after him with a clearly sarcastically sweet tone and a wink. She turned back to Liz as she began to explain why there had been tension. " Is that what happened earlier?" She questioned, having heard the outburst between the two but didn't know the situation. So they had been friends, at least, if they were traveling. Ridley had been picking up social ques from Liz that she was unhappy, and was ready to jump into the girl code. Julian was clearly too young for Ridley's tastes so there was no want or need for flirting with him, so her natural response was defensive. " He didn't seem like much company." She commented, curious to see if her new redheaded friend was going to defend him or explain what his deal was. " If you're still upset for his Pokémon attacking yours, you shouldn't let him off the hook so easy. He should be trying harder." Ridley commented. She wasn't exactly a forgiving girl when she felt wronged. His large fire dog attacked a bug, that would piss her off. She didn't hear their conversation so she didn't hear any apologies. All she could go off was his expression that went from smiling that immediately changed to blank, then silence. So what ever he wanted to do she felt was insincere. If he was at fault for her outburst earlier, he should be groveling on his knees to get her back, in her opinion. It shouldn't matter if she had a friend around. Ridley was ready to comment on how she let him off of what ever hook he was on too easy, but they were distracted by the large spider that arrived. She might not like bugs exactly, but she wasn't scared of spiders, so she just eyed over the Ariados and continued to suck on her sucker. She watched Liz's freak out as she raised an eyebrow, this clearly was her spinarak who had evolved. Delphine however, couldn't help but gasp at the large spider, clasping her free paw on her cheek in surprise, as the fire on her staff suddenly grew. Ridley wasn't afraid of spiders, but Del had never seen an ariados in person, and found him creepy. Ridley looked at the red head as she stood back up. " Congrats on the Ariados." Ridley congratulated. It was always something to be proud of when a Pokémon evolved, she learned that when her Pokémon had evolved. It was exciting when Delphine evolved each time. She remembered when the she was a Fennekin and could curl up in her lap, and now she was about the same height as her. Liz's expression changed as she slowly moved closer to Ridley. " What?" Ridley asked her, finding her slow advance to be weird. However, she wasn't expecting the shove. Ridley was very talented in heels, she normally could even run at full speed in them. But with her slinky dress, and the train, she stumbled as she was pushed into her Jynx and Delphox. Ridley's sucker fell out of her mouth, while her two Pokémon were forced to catch their trainer so she didn't fall over, Delphine having to drop her staff. Ridley stood back up, pulling the top of her dress back up as she did a hair toss to get it out of her face. " What's your problem?" She spat and saw what it was for. Amma, had been keeping her eye on the surroundings. She didn't get any negative feelings from Liz, or even the teenager. Both seemed to be normal and inherently good, unlike the male Ridley met in the tower, or Phineas the pirate. Both of them felt wrong to the ghost, but these two seemed fine. Her stern expression was unmoving as her many trinkets she had tied to her rustled. All tokens she used for one thing or another. She was in fact a Mismagius, and held magic abilities rather then the usual Pokémon's powers. Her specially was in fact voodoo. She hadn't expected the young red head to attack, so she didn't see it coming. She swiftly looked to the young girl as Ridley was shoved, but couldn't move in time. Liz effectively tackled the ghost, her wispy body being made of a form of fabric that would feel like a sturdy material but old. Very old. The ghost had been taken to the ground, as her stern look flared with anger. " Have ya lost your mind child?" The ghost scolded in her heavy New Orleans accent. Her old face leering up at the young woman with a fierce expression, her old eyes looking deep into the red head's. It would feel that Liz was holding down just cloth, of course there were items and token hidden away in Amma's body. However she didn't fight back, appearing to be limp fabric but her hat and face. She couldn't bring herself to harm any human that didn't deserve it, and despite her offense, this wasn't cause to harm the young girl. Behind them Ridley looked stunned at Liz. Her eyes wide, and her mouth slightly agape, Jessica matching her expression. Delphine's mouth had fallen completely open as she looked on in almost fear. Though, it didn't last long for Ridley, her shock expression cracked as she let out a laugh. Her laugh continued as she clasped her hand over her mouth but she couldn't stifle it. Someone had tackled a ghost, and not just any ghost, but Amma. The blonde found this hysterical. However the two feminine Pokémon next to her were horrified. The copper haired Jynx rushed forward. " Don't!" She moved forward quickly, resting her purple gloved hands on her shoulders, trying to pull her back but not with too much force. " Stop, She's with us, Amma is with us!" She tried to inform, her usual sultry voice pull of urgency. The Ghost didn't wait for Jessica to pull the human off of her. The fabric beneath Liz began to shift and pull from Liz's grasp and out form under her. It coiled as it seemed to wrap into almost nothing with a sudden ripping sound. The Ghost was gone. There was another rip sound above them, as the old ghost's voice continued. " Haven' ya learned to never offend da spirits? The spirits in da beyond would have a riot with ya." Eve seemed to purr, nuzzling her head against her wings as she snoozed on the floor. A full Noivern was a happy Noivern. She couldn't be bothered with the drama in the Ballroom any longer. She had friends with her and a comfortable place to nap. That was good enough for her. Venus remained focused on the stage, only briefly glancing back towards the others at her table. The little Ghost didn't seem thrilled with the orange but that didn't surprise her any. Sableye didn't look like Pokemon that would prefer fruit. "Do you think we will get to leave soon?" She asked Marco, despite knowing her couldn't understand her. The Machop was hopeful. Maybe they had discovered something helpful while questioning the reporter. That hopeful feeling died down when she looked back at Mars. Something was bothering the Rockruff- which was worrying in itself. Mars typically didn't care about anything unless it effected him in some way. "I wonder what's bugging him."
Cyren winced when the camera was damaged further. The camera appeared to be on its last leg and he was concerned that further damage might harm the memory card too. He was relieved to see that it was in one piece and- more importantly- that it was cooperating with them. When the Baron decided to move to the stage, he followed. Beyond seeing what they could find on the pictures he didn't particularly care what happened to his phone. Joining the Baron on the stage presented him with the perfect opportunity to retrieve Yami. As soon as Cyren had climbed onto the stage, he went over and picked up his Kabuto. The fossil protested until he realized Cyren was not one of the Guards. His trainer was still nibbled on for startling him but he wasn't actually trying to hurt him. He rejoined the others with the fossil attached to his arm. He assumed most of the people present knew better than to put their hands within biting distance so he didn't bother to warn anyone. Demetri was already swiping through the pictures when he returned. It didn't appear as though they were having any luck yet...or at all really. The attacker had not been caught on the camera. He was a bit disappointed as well. Getting a picture of whoever had done it seemed like their best bet for getting out of there sooner rather than later. The strange reddish tint caught his attention though. He shifted his Kabuto out of biting range so he could look at the picture without having to worry about Yami trying to nip at someone. "I'm assuming you don't have any ideas." He glanced down at his Kabuto, who grumbled in response. He couldn't see enough of the phone to even begin to know what Cyren was talking about. "Just checking." He rubbed the fossil's shell until he relaxed again. "If I had to guess...something got close to the camera?" So they were looking for something reddish? Maybe a Pokemon? Or something wearing red? Cyren was just throwing ideas out there at this point.
When the others began to crowd the stage, Mars decided to move. He needed to figure out what the blonde hair belonged to before Eve got in trouble for something he knows she didn't do. If Katie joined them on stage, he would move to sniff her first, not bothering at all to acknowledge his trainer or anyone else on the stage. He would move on immediately if he could rule her out. He would move on to Lucille next. That obnoxious looking tent of a dress would make getting a scent off of her easy enough. If her scent didn't match he would...sit back and watch the show instead of moving on to Ridley. He was supposed to check each of the blondes but it could probably wait until whatever that chaos the redhead was causing was ended.Partners: White Prince Of Wonderland rooker

ElfyThe Rockruff was right in ruling Elizabeth out, considering that he had already picked up her scent. But that aside, the blonde hair was much too long to belong to the reporter. As he went on his way, quickly smelling at Katie on his way past the stage. It would be fairly faint because of the motion, The puppy would get light scents of soap, and gentle perfume. It would be subtle but it was enough to rule the ranger out. As the Rockruff moved on to Lucille, he was right again, getting a very distinct scent. It was clear to the canine that she was wearing perfume. It was clearly sweet, but a different sweet. It would be very floral. She would smell of Jasmine, Vanilla, and quite a few other floral scents that he might not be able to place. It would be a very bold perfume, but lucky for the canine's nose, she didn't put too much on to be over powering. Just enough to leave a lingering scent behind. That being said, her scent didn't match the blonde hair either. Mars confirmed the Blonde hair didn't belong to Elizabeth, Katie, or Lucille.

Elfy Lucille Natasha PevenseyNatasha had already made her way into the middle of the room, and began to eye the surrounding guests. She fanned herself as she casually glanced around. She wasn't sure who exactly looked shifty to her, but she did see some familiar faces. While at the ball, she had only mingled with two people. The little floozy blonde she met, and the young male who was fairly nice. Everyone she either felt like would be no help, or she didn't know. She resulted to people watching, She was usually good a reading people, so she might be able to see who she could get some information about the apparently murder of the Archduchess' handler, which is what she was told. Time passed as the Baron seemed to be making progress. He seemed to have been questioned a seedy looking guy and then another meek looking one. Very... interesting choices to look at first. Though she believed they might be a better choice to start with then the elite guests. The Baron soon moved onto the stage with a group, as a commotion broke out between a red head and the floozy. Typical. She couldn't help but let out a sigh as it seemed that there was no progress being made. Not really. Though, she couldn't help but notice the Rockruff that came up to her. She looked down to the Pokémon, and stepped away from it. She didn't know who the dog belonged too, so she didn't know if it was worth cuddling up to the canine so she didn't. "Go on. Run along." She spoke, waving her fan at the puppy, trying to as politely as she felt necessary to shoo the dog away.

He had a pleasant expression as he glanced around the room. He was in a good mood now, he believed he had everything he needed to believe that Rhienne had something to do with the crime. Her Pokémon, the Mega Lucario, had been acting very suspicious in the white haired male's eyes. He was avoiding and ignoring important questions, deflecting and distracting the entire time they were together. He couldn't even use his abilities to see auras, being a Mega evolved Lucario... Marcellus figured he should be able to easily see the auras. Marcellus believed he was just covering with the way he was deflecting everything he tried to say. Wattson even ignored every attempt Josette tried to start a conversation. Granted she did only greet him, but she did multiple times and he didn't even seem to notice or care. He didn't know what Novu had been talking about, but Marcellus could only assume that Wattson was ignoring him too. That wasn't behavior of an innocent individual. The Male was sure he knew what happened, or at least this was the narrative he was going with. He figured she had a Ghost type or Psychic type, based off of the Pokémon he could see, and had it shut the lights off while she committed the theft and attack. It was fairly simple to him. Marcellus looked about the room, and spotted Cronus, who had been keeping to himself, and enjoying the alone time on the far side of the room near the Garden doors. The room had shifted a bit I his absence, but he was able to find every quickly. It seemed the guilty teen, according to Marcellus, hadn't moved, while the Baron was now on the stage with a few others. Marcellus adjusted his train like cloak so it would drag behind him nicely, as he made his way through the ballroom. He spotted Julian on the stage as well, which surprised Marcellus, but he was glad he was helping. But it took him a while to find Liz. She was with a scantly clad woman, who was laughing, while Liz was on the ground, angry while a Mismagius seemed to be angrily barking at her. Marcellus's eyes widened. What was she doing? Not only with the current situation, but in a short dress... Marcellus was shocked at this behavior, but he was about to approach the Baron, so he couldn't be associated with her like this. He turned quickly and moved toward the stage. XXXXXNovu and Josette followed Marcellus to the stage, both on either side of his embordered train. Josette on his right, and Novu on his left. He see a Blonde in a fairly interesting and intricate dress. As well as a rather tall male, and a short haired blonde in a simple black dress. They were surrounding the Baron, so Marcellus walked up to him and gave him a bow before moving over to the Archduchess, and bowing for her as well. "Hello, your Royal Highness." He greeted in his smooth calm voice. He stood back up to look at the older woman, Josette curtseying the best she could. "I'm Marcellus Patrillo, and I hope I'm not disturbing you. However, I found something interesting out in the Foyer that seemed out of place." He told her, holding out the pink feather for the Royal. "I'm unsure if it's an actual clue, but it's proof someone was outside the ballroom, so maybe it proves their innocence." He explained to her his thoughts. He didn't know If he would need to explain this to the Baron again, or if she would be all he needed to. "I also would like to report some suspicious behavior of a trainer and Pokémon, when ever the Baron is free." He explained, loud enough for the Baron and surrounding persons to hear as well. Katie Du'Mont♪ My Bartender she's from the islands, her body's been kissed by the sun. Coconut replaces the smell of the bar, and I don't know if it's her or the rum. ♪ Katie looked at the resulting pictures and realized that none of them definitively proved anyone's guilt. However, there was one final picture that might have held a clue. Something red had apparently rushed past the camera at the last moment. She looked from the picture to the crowd, scanning for anything that might have been the same shade in color. Of anything, Liz stood out to her. Perhaps that was only because she was once again making a scene. Though she didn't know the girl, she couldn't help judging her a bit harshly considering this was the very last place you'd want to go around drawing attention to yourself. She was freaking out every time they looked away from her and as far as Katie was concerned, she was acting like a guilty person. Having given Hoopa enough time to calm down in his Pokeball, the blonde decided that he could be let out again. While she was at it, she also let out some others from her party. Rowlet flew right up to the rafters and found a quiet place to nap - he was always doing that at bad times. What she'd meant was for him to keep an eye out from above, but he tended to do his own thing on his own time. Buizel was happy just to be in Katie's arms, and she carried the lovable otter to the stage with her where she passed a number of people watching the procession with unmasked curiosity. Granted Katie wasn't anything special, but she was glad that Demetri was treating her with the respect deserving of a Ranger. Not to mention, her presence might have been a big part of the reason they weren't court marshaling Elizabeth right off the bat.
Obviously Aipom had already been out and about, looking for clues and keeping a sharp eye on the person he deemed responsible for this mess. Marco might not have had the Pokeball in his bag, but there was always the possibility that he was keeping it on his person. Aipom had already proven that keeping such sensitive evidence in his bag would have been risky by snooping through it. Meanwhile, Scout was following Katie up to the stage. He may have been a bit of an asshole, but he had a good heart and wasn't about to leave Katie unprotected in case there was another attack. Whoever had done this was still here, make no mistake, and cornered animals were very likely to lash out and bite anyone that came near them. He wasn't going to trust anyone until this case was solved.
It was easy to guess what Munchlax was going to do the moment he tasted the tiniest bit of freedom. He walked away from the group and immediately followed the smell of food leading him over to the catering. The food on one of the tables didn't last long under his hungry influence, and they would be forced to shoo him away or move the food if they wanted any of it to survive. If not, he would eat his way through the next table as well. Munchlax was eating far more than usual, only it wasn't entirely clear why.
Up on stage, Katie felt air brushing against the back of her leg and glanced back to find a familiar sight. a Rockruff was there sniffing her. It made her a little homesick to see the pooch native to her home land. "Hey there." She said, knowing the others would be alright without her undivided attention for long enough to pet a puppy. She crouched down and offered her hand for the Rockruff to smell (and get her scent) as was proper etiquette for dealing with dogs you did not personally know. "You're a cutie, aren't you?" She said with a bright and warm smile. If allowed, she would occupy herself by petting the puppy as long as he would tolerate it.
Hoopa was pleased to be back out among the party-goers, even if they weren't doing much partying right this moment. He was a Pokemon that just loved to be in the middle of whatever was going on. He was just about to enthusiastically exclaim that he was back on the case when he heard something... strange. It was an odd whispering sound, not unlike what one might hear in a scary movie when a spirit tries to lure a single member of the party away from the others. And just like that foolish first victim, Hoopa obeyed the summons and went to investigate. This would end up taking him out of the Ballroom and outside into the gardens. The whispering grew a little louder and more clear, but what it was saying... Hoopa couldn't tell exactly what it wanted.

Elizabeth Morgan There were a lot of things wrong with Liz's decision to just attack Amma. Least of which was the actual decision to blitz a ghost! "Gotcha!" Holy shit that actually worked. She couldn't help but think about how weird it was that she had hit a Mismagius. She had no idea where to even go from here. Ridley was laughing, spiraling her ability to reason out what was going on anymore. The rag-like body of Amma made her realize she was touching a Ghost! The redhead stumbled back onto her heels, nearly falling into Ridley and Jessica in the process. She wasn't bad? Well that just didn't compute. The only Ghost she had met that wasn't bad was the Dratini she met in Ecruteak City. The conflicting thoughts were not hidden in any way. Any Psychic curious what the red-haired woman's problem was could glean her opinion of Ghost types as easily as if she had broadcast the thought. She still hadn't grasped that Honedge was a Ghost as well, and her living sword was just fine with that. She scowled defiantly at Amma all the same. "No Ghost is gonna hurt my friends." She snapped as if her answer should have been obvious to anyone with sense. Her feelings were in turmoil again as quickly as Julian had managed to reduce some of that stress. This was Ridley's Ghost...but it was still a Ghost! She certainly didn't speak like someone with good intentions in Liz's opinion. Amma hadn't even done anything to deserve this except be a Ghost Pokemon. Her thoughts were in turmoil again. Arcanine just did this to Spike and she ripped Julian open for it. This apparently had been so absurd to Ridley that she hadn't taken the time to be upset about what just happened. She wanted to fight again, but run at the same time. She frowned to herself as she reflected on this moment. As suddenly as she had tackled the Mismagius, she ducked her head like a spurned child.
"I'm sorry. I didn't know...I panicked." She said aloud, heat flaring in her cheeks as she admitted her fault finally. Jessica had informed Liz that she was attacking a friend and that couldn't mesh with her internal narrative that Amma had to be some kind of evil. "I..." The redhead hesitated. "I saw someone die. A long time ago. And it really fucked me up. My mom still has Ghosts hanging around because of me." She explained finally, shaking her head.
