The Archduchess was silently listening as Demetri and the group around him spoke. She only recognized one of the three in the group which she found interesting, but more so they were looking at the pictures. She turned her full attention to the group, She obviously couldn't see the pictures but if they were able to see who the killer was she definitely wanted to hear about it. She didn't pay any mind to the puppy who was sniffing over the clues, or the quiet teenager. Both of which were proving to be helpful. Granted she wasn't aware of the psychic conversation between himself and her grandson. But if he was inspecting the clues, she would be thankful for all the help they could get. She kept a hand on her Snubbull, to keep her calm. But her eyes bore into the puppy and fossil watching them very closely. She closed her eyes in silent anger as they found that they hadn't captured the criminal. She was ready for all of this to be over. The Guard to her left caught her attention as she flinched again. "You need to be easy if you're going to shove information in my head, okay?" He commented to the Abra, Adelaide looked to the male. "I hope you have good news to deliver." She questioned expectantly, as though she wasn't going to accept anything less. The Guard looked at her as if she was dangerous. "Uh, well, the Rockruff got scents from all the new clues, and stated the hair didn't belong to her. As well as the Scale was likely from that noivern. He apparently thinks it doesn't mean anything." The guard explained still rubbing his head to sooth the returning headache from the abra quickly and forcibly giving the guard information. The Archduchess thought for a moment, looking to the short haired blonde, and then to the dragon. "The hair is obvious, it's much longer then that woman's. But we don't know that. The scale was found next to the stage, so it will remain a clue until we confirm the Pokémon's innocence." She explained. The scale was found right next to the stage, so the dragon could have easily aided in the crime. She eyed over the dragon, and then the short haired blonde before her. The older woman couldn't help but spy on the red head causing a commotion with yet another Pokémon. Her lips grew tight on her face, and she was ready to stand and discipline the two young inappropriately dressed woman, and their Pokémon when Her attention again was draw towards another male, one she definitely didn't recognize. As he approached she couldn't help but eye over the male's flashy outfit in judgement. She definitely didn't like or understand this sparkly light blue outfit, but then again she could say that about most modern fashions. However he did bow and address her appropriately. If it weren't for his bizarre outfit she would have been impressed. He commented on finding an out of place feather and suspicious behavior. The guard moved forward and collected the feather from the male and let the Archduchess look at it before setting it on the table. "It does seem out of place here too, but My grandson might want to look at it. He's in an interrogation right now, you can speak with me, and I can pass on the suspicious behavior. " She told him, she wasn't sure how the pink feather would match especially out of the room, but she was ready to hear the behavior he witnessed. "Who do you believe is suspicious and what have they done?" she asked him sounding more of a commanding tone in her stern voice rather then a question.

Demetri Nathaniel Albert

Demetri studied the pictures, seemingly the red tint caught the trainer's attention as well. He looked to Cyren as he spoke, questioning if he had any ideas. He was about to respond when he heard the grumbling sound. This caught him by surprise, having not seen the tall male retrieve the fossil before. Normal circumstances he would have commented on how cool it was, and try to pet or touch the shiny Kabuto but luckily for him other things had his attention. Cyren commented on the idea of something passing in front of the camera, while Katie took a moment to look around. As she canned the room, at first nothing red would really catch her eye except maybe Marco's red flower on his white suit. Nothing until she turned her rightfully judgmental gaze on the commotion that Demetri had been trying to ignore, but found it hard to do so. Katie would find Liz's bright long red hair, as well as a Jynx with copper hair and a bright red dress. Demetri wasn't wanting to disturb Katie's attention, but was still speaking loud enough for her to hear. "I suppose, but they would block out the camera if someone was running past wouldn't it?" Demetri asked both Cyren, but turned his eyes to the reporter. "Is there a red flash or a red filter on your camera?" He posed the question turning back to the photo to look at. So far it was the best evidence they had.

Elizabeth Plum

The cutiefly could see the energy in the Absol shift. She was beginning to believe that the disaster sensing Pokémon didn't believe her. That made the little fairy type flutter nervously, not only that but she didn't seem to heed her comment on possibly reading other party goers while together. With their abilities together they might have been able to rightfully peg someone suspicious, and investigate it together. But the Absol seemed to thank her and make her way back to her trainer. The fairy had anticipated to speak a little bit longer, but speaking her thoughts and opinions seemed to end the conversation. The Pokémon was still nice, much nicer then the fruit queen, so she nodded and hummed a kind goodbye before fluttering after her trainer to join in on the investigation once more. What the little fairy didn't see was Leah's attempt to read Marco. Leah would see the male in question lounging back in his chair. His attention was on the pokemon at his table so it seemed. He showed clear fondness for his own ghost Pokémon, not watching him as closely as he did the Machop or Noivern. This could mean he knew and trusted the ghost, or he didn't care what the little ghost did. But she would also notice the fondness he had more towards Noivern then he did Machop, seeming that he was more comfortable around her type of Pokémon, or maybe it could mean he wanted to have a Noivern of his own. One last thing she might notice is the fact that he was holding his leather bag very closely to himself, though the rest of his posture is relaxed, as well as his eyes seemed to always be moving, shifting, and watching the environment around him.
Elizabeth was looking at the pictures, with a very thoughtful look on her face as she tried to think closely to what might have happened. The calm tall male questioned if something could move in front of the camera to make it reddish, but the Baron questioned if that just wouldn't block out the picture. "Not always, if what ever it was moved fast enough the motion blur could cause it to make that tent." She told them. It could really go either way, she wasn't sure one way or another. "It would make sense if it was a sheer dress, but I don't remember any red dresses, and I don't think it was a see through Pokémon, because what ever it was hit me pretty hard." She explained, as she rubbed the back of her neck. Demetri then asked if she had a red filter or light on the camera. It was a fair question, seeing that she might have hit a button in the dark. "No, I wouldn't really have a need for a red filter on my camera. There are those you can clip on a camera, but those are used for more artistic photography." She explained to them with a nod. She did more in the moment photos for reporting, rather then artistic type of photoshoots. She wanted to capture a person in the moment, not a image or post of someone.

Saybleye sat at his spot on the table with his legs crossed as he munched on the small Geode his human gave him. In retrospect the little ghost was having a good night. He had made two bird friends, he got a gift orange he'll keep forever, and got to see, at least for a brief time, a rare delicacy. The little ghost was swaying back and forth as he crunched. He looked up from his snack, with small rocks and dust on his face at the sound of flapping wings. Sableye watched his new friend fly away, he reached out his hand and seemed to grab at the air, but this was his way of waving bye. "Bye bird friend" He spoke as if the noctowl was still at the table. He looked back to his snack, or whats left of it and finished the last bite with a nice crunch. Marco reached forward and with his thumb wiped the rock dust from his face. Marco was glad the Noivern had curled up and gone to sleep. keeping track of the Dragon and keeping her calm while inside was a worry he didn't want to worry about. Despite finding her enjoyable and fascinating. Marco propped his legs up on one of the near by chair. It seemed that most of the party goers were avoiding him, Cyren aside, so he didn't think he would be needing so many chairs. The night had devolved from an elegant party to a literal crime scene so he might as well be comfortable. He looked to Venus as he heard her voice. He obviously couldn't understand her, but she had been looking at Cyren so he could only put two and two together. "I'm sure Cyren will be fine. " Marco tried to reassure. "He's invested, and no one seems to have a reason to look at him for anything." Marco explained. From what he could see the fingers were all being pointed at him and the short haired blonde. He still found this interesting that the group were focusing on those two, but not questioning anyone else. Yet at least. Aside form the woman that pointed her finger at him, he would have been questioning others. Sableye looked to Venus. "I think not much longer." He told her with a toothy grin, wanting to give her good news. However his attention seemed to be captured by someone else. His head turned as he began to stare at the Absol that was analyzing Marco. The ghost didn't have any negative expression, but he merely stared at her much like he did at the lurking Aipom before.

Ridley couldn't keep herself from laughing. The sight was just too funny for the blonde. Amma was one of the more serious Pokemon on her team, and Ridley never dared get physical with the ghost. The Mismagius was forced upon Ridley by her grandmother for protection. The old ghost had proven very helpful in keeping Ridley and her Pokemon out of harm's way. Because of this, Ridley had a love hate relationship with the ghost. The blonde love taking digs at the ghost, despite knowing the ghost was there for her safety, while Amma had love for Ridley, she wasn't against beating the girl with a wooden spoon to teach her a lesson. Ridley had a hand on Delphine's shoulder for stability while the Fox looked on with fear clear in her eyes, and mouth agape. The blonde was clearly struggling to catch her breath as she stood up right, and began to dab at her eye make up with one of her fingers. "Oh that was great. I don't want to mess up my mascara" Ridley commented as she looked up, trying to make sure any tears from her laughing fit didn't run down her 'perfectly done' make up. Ridley walked forward, so that she could help up Liz, but the rolled back onto her heels before she could. She barked back at Amma about hurting her friends. "It's no harm no foul. But Amma doesn't hurt us, all but our eyes from looking at her." Ridley commented, to which the Ghost gave Ridley a look that was almost hard to look it. Amma had a way of making expressions that weren't exactly threatening, but they make you feel like a child being scolded. This was a look she gave when she really was not in the mood. Jessica slipped between the Ghost and the redhead. The Jynx knew that Amma would never hurt an undeserving human, but she didn't know if Liz would start swinging again because Amma started speaking at her like she was a child. Which to Amma's old age, most everyone was a child by comparison. "It's okay, I'm sure Amma understands it was a misunderstanding." Jessica tried to smooth over, also shooting Ridley a dirty look, but it didn't have near as an effect on Ridley as Amma's did. As the redhead began to explain her reasoning, Ridley's wide grin began to fade away. She shifted her weight uncomfortably, being sentimental and understanding wasn't exactly her strong suit. "That... really does suck" Ridley commented, doing her best to be understanding. She didn't understand why that was exactly effecting her and attracting the ghosts. But she understood that she didn't know who died, or if the death was fairly tragic. Jessica took the helm from Ridley, putting an arm around Liz for comfort. "I'm sorry that happened to you, I know it must have been hard." She began in her smooth and usually seductive voice. "One thing different from those ghosts, is that Amma is a protector. She uses her abilities and magic to keep us safe." Jessica tried to explain to change her view on the ghost. By now, Amma's expression had softened from when she was seemingly scolding Liz. She drifted down lower in the air to speak face to face, but still an arms length away from the group. "I know the poltergeist and bottom feeding type of ghosts you speak of." She told her in a much calmer voice then before, but her accent was just as strong as before, and the strength behind her voice was still there. "Growing up around those spirits I can understand the animosity. I hope you can find it in your heart to forgive those ghost that do good.[/b]" Amma spoke, being her age, she had battled and dealt with spirits she was talking about. Those that flock to misery and trauma. The wise spirit could understand her fear and wanting to protect someone she liked, despite the less then smart plan of doing so. With that the ghost seemed to disappear from view. Taking herself away from the situation so that she wouldn't raise the tension any further. Ridley moved into Liz's view placing her hand on her hip. "You know, she'll get over it." She tried to make it better.

The more Mars watched Ridley and Liz, the less he wanted to do with them. They looked like a whole mess of "no" and he would probably be better off going to warn Venus that they might be bothering Eve soon. He looked up at Lucille with total indifference as she tried to shoo him. The other blonde had been tolerated long enough for him to allow her to briefly pet him. This one, fortunately, did not require the same treatment. Her perfume was a bit over the top for his liking and he didn't want to get any of that scent on his fur. He made his way over to Venus and the still napping Noivern.

Venus wanted to believe both Marco and the Sableye. Her trainer had been behaving himself. So long as he continued to do so he would be perfectly fine. Still, Venus couldn't help but worry. Mars's demeanor had put her on edge. The arrogant puppy was not the type to be easily disturbed. Her concern was validated when the Rockruff finally approached the table. "Oi. We might have a problem." The Rockruff hopped up into Venus's chair, sitting down next to her and eying the sleeping Noivern. "Seems the winged idiot has attracted some unwanted attention. There was a Noivern scale by the stage." That was rather alarming. The Machop was sure that Eve hadn't done anything wrong but she was still a highly excitable Dragon. Questioning the Noivern could prove her innocence but it was just as likely- if not more so- that she would get herself into further trouble. She looked to Marco, gesturing towards the stage before pointing to Eve. "They might try to question her." Trying to properly communicate what was going on was difficult. She hoped her tone and gestures alone would be enough to inform him of their current problem. "Should we wake her up?" Mars was staring down at the Noivern. Venus sighed and looked to Eve as well. "Probably." As much as she would have liked to let her stay asleep, it was probably best she be awake and...somewhat alert. She had no idea how long it would take for the Noivern to fully wake back up. "Eve? Eve! Wake up! One of your scales was found by the stage. They might ask you about it." The Noivern whined at her, trying to hide her face with her wings. If she couldn't see them then they couldn't see her!

"Come on, Eve. Get up. You can go back to sleep after-" The Rockruff leaped from the chair on to the Noivern's back. "Wake your scaly ass up!" He barked, preparing to start pawing at her before he was knocked to the floor when the Dragon finally sat up. Her plan to hide herself had been foiled. "Questions?" She yawned, still half-asleep. At least she was upright. "Yes. Questions. Just wait for them to come over and- get back here!" The Dragon was already on her way to the stage. She had to answer whatever they wanted her to so she could get back to sleep. Getting it over with sounded good. She didn't notice the Rockruff now attached to her tail, stubbornly trying to pull her back to the table. Mars was dragged up and on to the stage with her. Venus looked to Marco helplessly and shrugged. Maybe she would be okay...? Probably not. "I should go get that." Venus followed after Eve and Mars, hoping she could drag the Noivern back before she caused too much trouble. Eve rubbed at her eyes with one of her wings before yawning. She had been enjoying her nap. "Oh...there's a line. That's okay. I can wait." She muttered between tired grumbles. Eve stood behind Marcellus, patiently waiting her turn to talk to the Archduchess while Mars continued to try to pull her back to the table. "No! Bad lizard! Off of the stage! This isn't helping!" Mars growled and whined until Venus pried him off of Eve's tail. "Neither is making a scene. Shut up and behave." Venus dropped the puppy next to herself and stood with her arms crossed. "Let's get her through this then get her off of the stage."

"Does it have to be red specifically? Would a color like pink cause a similar tint?" Cyren wanted to confirm that red was the color they were actually looking for. Ruling other things out would make figuring out what had been caught in the picture a lot easier for them. He wanted to try to help more but his attention was pulled away from the picture when he noticed his Noivern was on the stage. Had his Machop not been with her, he probably would have been significantly more worried than he was. Venus would keep her from doing anything too silly. He decided to leave her be for the time being, though he would keep an eye on her. If it looked like things were about to take a turn for the worst, he would join his Pokemon. He would focus his attention on the current problem for the time being. "Is there anything else that could cause a tint like that?" He had no idea what it could be if not a filter or something moving in front of the camera. Cyren hoped that someone else might be able to come up with something. He was currently at a loss.

Demetri seemed to be just as puzzled as Cyren was it seemed. While he looked around the room too for anything red, the Jynx's dress, and Liz's hair was indeed the right color of bright red however there was not evidence yet pointing to the Pokémon or redhead. Aside from Liz's very strange behavior. He scratched his chin in thought with his free hand and looked to Cyren as he made a suggestion that maybe it was another color that was effected by the flash. "Hmmm, I don't think so, it is a very distinct red color. Unless Elizabeth has any idea if it might be another color?" He asked her directly, looking to her. However his eyes went back to the photo. He took a deep breath as he focused, trying to catch any detail of the photo he could that may be a clue. While, he did know all of the laws, and studied criminal investigation, he wasn't exactly an investigator so he was still needing aid in what things might be. Luckily for him, he had two perfect examples of people that could have a different outlook then him. Trainers and Rangers. "I'm having a hard time imagining what might cause the tint. Do either of you think something with training or Pokémon might cause this? A specific Pokémon, or something that might cause a red flash?" He asked Cyren and Katie, since Elizabeth wasn't a trainer or ranger it obvious wasn't a question for her. He was hoping that they might know or think of something he couldn't that could produce a red color, or a red flash to effect the photo. Maybe an attack, or item that caused a red beam or flashing color.

Elizabeth Plum

Elizabeth appeared to be just as confused as the group was. Her Cutiefly returned to her side and fluttered to next to her and landed on her shoulder, nuzzling her cheek as she did. The Baron looked directly towards her and asked if Cyren might be right about the colors maybe being effected by the flash. She made an unsure expression as she began to explain. "Not pink since my flash is white, it would have to be a really dark red if something passed in front of the camera to change it to that red color." She explained her best. She knew how tints worked but not so much when they weren't actually made to tint a camera. She opened her mouth to try and answer the Baron's next question but stopped as she realized it was directed to Cyren and Katie. She looked over towards them to listen rather then interrupt.

(Sorry I'm late! I've been having a hard time since I'm moving and having to balance that with a very erratic work schedule is difficult. I'll try and have a post for Marco and The Achduchess tomorrow. Sorry it's such a short response! )
(The next post for Demetri/Elizabeth/Adelaide will be posted May 21st, unless everyone has responded before hand to which I'll post sooner.)

XXXXXMarcellus listened to the Archduchess as she stated that the feather might have been out of place, but it was out of place among the other items on the table of clues. He glanced at the table and was only able to see the larger clues, not including the blonde hair or the scale. She wasn't wrong, the pink feather was a little out of place, however he didn't like that his serves to the investigation were basically rendered unhelpful. Despite already being unhappy with the situation, his calm demeanor remained. Marcellus smiled and gave her a nod that the Baron might want to look into it. However his smile faltered once she stated he must explain to her rather then the Baron. The white haired trainer wanted to speak with the Baron directly. He seemed much more personable, mean while the Archduchess seemed to be much more... Irate and less likely to get his point across to her. Just from what he witnessed already she seemed fairly stubborn and set in her ways, so he knew he'd need to word his statement very carefully to persuade her that what he said was actually important. She did seem interested in what he had to say about someone suspicious but he had to make sure he held her attention. "Well, the young woman in the black dress, and wearing Espeon ears. " He nodded his head back towards Rhienne. "I was speaking with another guest and stated I believe she had moved when the lights were off, and her Mega Lucario came into the conversation and was immediately defensive. I left with the Pokemon into the Foyer to search for a cause of the power outage, where I found that feather. He deflected any attempt to get any information on him or his trainer. I asked him to use his abilities that Lucario's possess to see any auras coming through the Foyer two or three times, but refused to acknowledge and ignored me." He began to explain his long winded explanation. He made sure to keep his town level but serious so she would know he was being serious. "Now I understand that's not solid proof, but if a Pokemon has an ability such as this, it would be important to use it. However, I believe it's also suspicious that he blatantly ignored the suggestion three times, unless he had something to hide. Don't you agree?" He explained, leading into asking if she agreed with that statement. He wanted to lead the conversation so that she would understand that this was serious in his eyes at least. The white haired trainer truly believed Rhienne had something to do with the crime. He could just tell. Josette and Novu stayed quiet on the ground, listening. Josette nodding her head in agreement, however she wasn't exactly paying attention. Meanwhile Novu looked about the room. Cronus who was still out and in the ballroom had taken a seat near the stage, he had put his head in his balled hands as he listened to Marcellus. He had already spoken with the girl's Alakazam. The Mewtwo clearly believed Rhienne was innocent however he knew there was no changing Marcellus's mind once he's passed judgement on someone.

XXXXXMeanwhile Marcellus hadn't noticed the approaching Noivern, nor Josette, however Novu watched her walk up. He looked up at the much taller Pokemon with wide eyes and mouth hanging open. He wasn't fear, he was just processing. He had only met one Noivern, the one Marcellus was forced to capture. Also the one he was afraid to go near at his house. However this one was different colored and smaller. He just stared at her as she waited her turn. After his statement He couldn't help but notice the puppy and Machop approaching. He looked back and saw the dragon. Marcellus had always been deathly afraid of dragon types. A dragon had not only killed his father, leading to his strong prejudice towards the type. But he had also been attacked and carried away by a feral Heidregon in Darkrai's tower. He barely was able to be civil to his best friend's charizard who had saved his life multiple times. So the sight of the small dragon caused him to visibly flinch away from her and draw in a sharp gasp. He brought his hand to his chest stepping away and almost stepping on his cloak again. He opened his mouth to either cry for help, or berate the creature, he wasn't sure which would come out first. But his mouth quickly shut as he remembered where he was. He straightened up, trying to regain his composure but he was clearly shaken as he took a wide step away from the dragon but stayed near by to hear what the Archduchess had to say. He angled himself so he could keep the dragon in his sight while looking to the older woman.

The Archduchess listened to the... interestingly dressed male. Granted interesting is not the word she would use to describe him. He seemed to be polite and know the correct terms and bowed at proper times, however if he was as knowledgeable as he seemed he wouldn't have worn such a tacky and flashy outfit. She had assumed it was a flamboyant display of wealth, however he was acting proper. It was puzzling to her, but not enough to hold her attention. The male explained that the young woman's Pokemon had been defensive and dodging questions as well as refusal to use it's ability. He propositioned her for her opinions on the matter. She took a breath and eyed the male over showingly, purposefully letting him know she were eyeing him over. Her eyes flicked to the approaching Pokemon and she slowly blinked her eyes as she realized there would have to be another moment of translation. But once she opened her eyes the male seemed quite frightened by the Pokemon. Despite having two small Pokemon with him, with the display he was giving her, she assumed he wasn't a trainer. She cleared her throat to get his attention again. "There are few things I agree with here tonight." She stated plainly. She look a quick look to her grandson before responding. "I don't know what to think, no one does it seems. So I doesn't see a reason to agree or disagree." She told the male, she wasn't going to agree it was suspicious because she didn't know the young woman, or her Pokemon. She seemed to have been one of the few behaving herself, however so was he. She couldn't deny that ability would have been helpful. "I'll inform my grandson. If he needs any further questions, he will surely be able to find you." She told him with a nod, and dismissed the male. She then turned her gaze towards the Pokemon that had approached, raising an eyebrow. "Yes?" She asked, she still had her stern and unwavering demeanor, but she didn't seem to know what to say to the Pokemon. The Archduchess Adelaide was a strong willed woman, and wasn't one to be intimidated. However this was a night with more Pokemon interaction then she was ready for. People she could handle, Pokemon she wasn't as knowledgeable about.

Marco was sitting pretty off on his own. While everyone else were playing detective, he was more then happy to stay out of it and play Pokemon-baby sitter. Eve and Venus were much better company then the Royals or the 'elite' anyways. However he had popped a strawberry in his mouth just in time for the Rockruff to arrive. He took a bite and spit out the butt of the Strawberry with the leaves making sure to get it on the table and not his white suit, and listened to the puppy's communication. Of course all he heard was a series of barks and noises, but what ever he was saying was resonating with Venus. The Machop pointed to the stage then Eve. He followed her gestures, but didn't appear to be alarmed or worried. "Well that's not good." He stated calmly as he was finishing up his mouth of strawberry. The two then began to move over and started to wake up Eve it seemed. She resisted at first, but soon woke. "I don't think that's a good idea, we should probably leave her asleep." He commented, thought he made no motion to stop them. They began to move speak to her and she just up and made her way to the stage. He let out a disappointed sigh. He had worked hard to get her to sleep and happy, so all they had to do was sit and enjoy the fruit. He looked to Sableye who still was staring unwavering at the Absol. "Looks like we don't get to stay out of it." He told Sableye as he stood and leisurely stretched before securing his leather bag to his side. He looked at Cyren from a far, as though he were debating if he could let them handle it on their own, but decided he needed to stick around them. Venus seemed like she was mature and knew enough not to cause trouble, but Eve wasn't another story, He began to walk after them. Sableye continued to stare at Leah, as long as it took until she looked away or until Marco left, not doing anything but stare. But once Marco began to move towards the stage, the ghost scuttled after him. arrived after Marcellus had his moment of fright. Marco gave him a funny look, but looked to the Archduchess as she asked 'yes' and he leaned around Eve and stepped forward. "I think they have something to say, or you wanted them?" Marco spoke unsure of what convinced Venus and Eve to make their way to the stage.

That was one idea ruled out. Despite it being confirmed that the thing could only be red, Cyren was still at a loss. He had no idea what could possibly have caused the tint. He was staring down at his Kabuto while he tried to come up with anything that might be helpful and would have entirely missed the Baron's question had Yami not nipped at him to get his attention. The tall male jumped a bit then patted the Kabuto's shell. Yami hadn't been trying to hurt him. He had been helping. "There are Pokemon that can cause effects like the red tint. Different moves could produce a similar color or it could be a natural ability of a Pokemon." It could also be part of a Pokemon. "Someone here could have a red Pokemon that isn't out currently. I have a Ledyba with me but she wasn't out at the time." Volunteering that bit of information now felt like a good idea. He didn't want to be accused of hiding his Ledyba if they started searching for additional red things. "It could have been a move. Or maybe a Pokemon was returned to its Pokeball." A Pokemon being returned would produce a red light but he isn't sure if it would cause the tint.

While both Venus and Mars had noticed Marcellus's reaction to Eve, the Noivern in question was totally oblivious. She yawned lazily and was considering laying back down until it was her turn before her noticed Novu. She tilted her head, staring right back at him for several seconds until she processed that she was looking at another Pokemon. "You are very tiny but very cute." She commented sleepily before smiling. Carrying around a little plant all the time must be tiring. That bulb looked almost as big as he was. Grass types were strange. She blinked when she heard Marco speak. Right! She was here to talk about things!...What was she asking about? She looked down at Venus and whined. The Machop sighed and stepped in front of the confused Dragon. "One of her scales was found by the stage. If she explains why it was there can it be dismissed as a clue?" The Noivern hadn't done anything wrong but the humans didn't know that. "She's a growing Noivern. She's going to lose scales sometimes." Venus shrugged then frowned. "And...you can't understand a word I'm saying." Venus crossed her arms and looked up at Eve, who was trying to shake off some of her tiredness. "Scale...? Oh! Scale. Why is a scale bad? Am I in trouble?" She had lots of scales. Losing one was no surprise to her. It was bound to happen. "I was a good Dragon. I sat and listened by the stage but I didn-" The Noivern paused her explanation. She had just remembered something very important. She had heard a lot of things near the stage! The excited Dragon let out a small cry and began rambling off everything she could remember. Mars felt sorry for the Abra and guard that had to try to translate for her. "I was by the stage because I wanted to see if any more fun stuff happened then the lights went out! That was not fun!" She still refused to admit to being scared. "I didn't see anything but I heard lots and lots! There was shuffling...on the stage. Four people moving around. Metal whistling. That was a weird sound. Someone fell by me then...something scattered. Then there was a clanging noise! That was metal too. A fifth person was running. Something was struggling then the hurt person screamed. One of the people ran away in the same direction they came from. Two people fell over and...then a pin? There was another thud and more clattering noises. Stuff was on fire after that and the big Pokemon made it bright again." When she finished her explanation she sat back and flapped her wings. "Oh! I know! I know! I can show someone where the people were moving around at maybe! My ears are really good. I can figure out the rough locations! Would that help?"

XXXXX Marcellus listened to the Archduchess. This wasn't getting him anywhere he wanted to be. He had been quite courteous, and followed all of the respectful rules in courtship. However it didn't seem to get him anywhere with her. Marcellus wanted to speak directly to the Baron, He seemed to have been the more friendly and understanding of the royals. He didn't need to interact with them to understand that after their behavior. Marcellus wanted to press this issue. While Marcellus wasn't sure if Rhienne was the one who plunged the knife in her chest, he was confident she had something to do with it. However the Archduchess wasn't having any of it. She continued on to state that she didn't agree nor disagree with what he had said. It was plain and simple to him. Marcellus wanted to retort at her, make a statement that it was plain to see to anyone with eyes. But He knew this would have been very bad on his part. He merely forced his calm expression, giving her a bow before moving to walk away. He hesitated to give a cold leer at the Noivern, and eye over the shady looking male with it. Why would someone let out a beast like that in doors, especially in such a formal setting. He couldn't resist a subtle shake of his head as he made his way towards one of the tables. The table that Cronus was already sitting at calmly. This was one of the first times in a long time that when Marcellus was in trouble and he wasn't needed to clean up the mess. While the incredibly high IQ Pokemon could have solved the issue relatively easily, he was taking this as the vacation he was promised. This was a human matter so he was going to let them solve it. Meanwhile, Novu met the stare of the Noivern with his mouth hanging open, looking straight up. While she was small for a Noivern, to Novu she was pretty big. "You're very big." He replied still sitting and looking straight up. "But you're smaller and nicer then other noiverns" he replied referencing the only other Noivern he had met, which was the one Marcellus was forced to catch in the Cerulean Cave for their safety. She was full sized and while Marcellus would call her feral, however she was actually more of a free spirit. However Shortly after their interaction, Josette, the white princess Smoochum, pulled the bulb away and they made their way towards Marcellus.

XXXXX Marcellus had fixed his embroidered train as he sat down next to Cronus. "Well that didn't exactly go according to plan." Marcellus sighed in a low voice. He liked controlling the way things went, and being liked while he did it, however the Archduchess didn't seem to be friendly with anyone. Cronus leisurely looked towards the white haired male. "Why did you need a plan at all?" The psychic questioned. Marcellus shot Cronus a Glare before looking back to the stage, ignoring the question. "I wonder how Julian is baring." He questioned seeing the teenager on the stage. He then looked back to Liz who was talking with some poorly clad floozy. This made him raise an eyebrow at her but he turned his attention back to Julian up on the stage.

Demetri looked up to Cyren quickly as he jumped. The sudden movement catching his attention. While the Baron didn't understand or put two and two together about the Kabuto being the cause of the startle, he listened the Cyren as he offered the help. Demetri was listening closely, this was insight on knowledge he didn't have and he wanted to make sure he was listening. "What kind of attacks or abilities would cause a red tint like that without notifying us to who and what it was?" Demetri asked. Cyren had another good point and idea. Other Pokemon could have been used that aren't currently out. "That is a very good point." Demetri responded looking around the ballroom with his eyes. There could be a number of Pokemon in Pokeballs that he didn't even know about. There was already two legendaries that he knew about, and a few other Pokemon he didn't. Who knew what else could be in the Ballroom. "I don't believe a solid Pokemon could cause this tint to the photo since it doesn't look like a blur. But I suppose we could have everyone go outside to the Garden and let out all their Pokemon." He purposed turning to look towards the Garden and scratched his chin with his free hand. Cyren had yet another idea that caught his attention, which made him straighten out and knit his eyebrows in thought. He looked at Cyren with the same thoughtful expression. He commented that it could have been a Pokemon being moved or returned. He pulled out a Pokeball, and let out his Roserade, and in a flash, the red beam as the Pokemon released matched the tint in the photo. The roserade bowed towards the Baron and his company, However the Baron was too focused to return the greeting. "Well look at that, the color was pretty much the same as the tint. Do you think it could have been that flash, or a Pokemon's move or it's ability?" Demetri asked the group around him, Cyren, Katie, and Elizabeth.

Elizabeth wasn't really sure what she could contribute to this conversation. She wasn't a trainer, and the only Pokemon knowledge she had came casually, or from a reporter's stand point. So she remained silent while Cyren and the Baron went back and forth with ideas. She listened and looked from male to male as they gave ideas on Pokemon. The conversation seemed to be picking up and going in a certain direction, leading towards Pokemon and their moves or abilities. The Baron even releasing his Roserade in demonstration for the color of the red beam. It was in fact the same color. The Baron asked if they believed it might be the release of a Pokeball or a Pokemon's move or ability. "I don't have much knowledge on moves or abilities, but I didn't know we could capture the red beam on camera like that. It looks like it, but do you two know of any moves that would look like that?" She asked. They had their answer on the color of the Pokemon release, but they didn't have the answer on maybe a Pokemon move or ability.

The male seemed to react very drastically towards the approaching Noivern, however the Archduchess didn't flinch. The Male bowed and made his exit. The Archduchess nodded at his exit and turned her attention top the Pokemon, and the male following them. Her stern gaze may have been unwavering but she was clearly at a lose for words on what she was suppose to do with a Noivern, Machop, and Rockruff. The male with the scared face chimed in stating that they had something to say. " Oh interesting. We're getting more help from the Pokemon then the guests." She commented as if she found it amusing, though her expression never changed. "At least someone's helping." She stated as the Noivern and Machop began to rattle off. The Archduchess listened to the Pokemon speak, and looking at them as they did so. However once they were finished their their seemingly long story, the Archduchess looked to the guard next to her. The guard braced himself for the incoming psychic attack of information from the Abra, however he slowly stood back up looking to the sleeping abra, and he had just a twinge in his eye, then softened. "Thank you for being more gentle." He replied to the Abra before turning to the Archduchess and male who wouldn't have understood. "The Machop explained that they think this purple scale belongs to their teammate Noivern and would like to attest her innocence." He began to explain the information he was given. It wasn't a psychic relay like some Pokemon are capable, it was more like a dump of information forced into his head all at once as soon as the moment was over. "The Noivern was explaining where she was and what she heard happen while the lights were out." He prefaced. The Guard began to explain word for word what the Noivern had explained, which all lined up for the most part of what they both remembered, however they both were a bit distracted. "That sounded about right... The first whistling would have been the needle from the spider. I believe, that problem solved..." She thought out loud. The guard looked to the Pokemon and back to the Archduchess. "The Noivern thinks she has good enough hearing to guess where everyone was on the stage during the power outage." He explained, which caught the stern woman's attention. "If you can do that, it would be important to know. I cannot take the scale off of the clue table, but being connected to you and your assistance is a good step." She explained to the dragon in a serious tone. She gave authority to her grandson and he was getting more information then she was so it was up to him to remove it if he believed it wasn't necessary. "Please tell us or demonstrate what you heard. "

Julian wasn't the only member of the guest list at a loss to what was happening around them. It had been such a good night, and exactly what he needed to disract himself from thoughts of... he touched the ankh around his throat and shook his head clear of encroaching memories. those could be recalled and dealt with at a later time and place - if ever. Had he known that Marcellus was considering his thoughts on the matter, he would likely have gone over and opened that can of worms.

Marcellus at least was a known quantity. They may have been cool toward each other at the beginning but he hoped that was changing. He hoped that everything would improve for the better soon, because if not... well, he didn't know how much longer he could deal with being the bad guy at every single turn. He followed along with the head of this investigation and his little carnival crew, but he didn't really have anything to contribute right off the bat. He would settle with waiting and watching. Especially since he was struggling to keep up with all current information as is.

Jessica reinforced again that Amma was not the enemy and Ridley...still wasn't really helping. A spirit of protection was information Liz definitely could live with. She believed in those kinds of things. She just hadn't accepted they existed as Pokemon. She struggled with the thoughts that Amma was fine given how frightening the Mismagius' appearance was. The sudden empathy from both Jessica and Amma made Liz hesitate. It wasn't Amma's fault her father died. She didn't kill him. She wasn't one of the creatures that had tried to trick her into the forest nearby. You don't deserve this. She thought to herself, raising her eyes to meet the Mismagius finally. "I'm sorry. I...you're right. I should be better." She said with a slow nod. By the time she brought her gaze back up the spirit had faded away. That...felt bad. Amma should not have been forced to leave but the redhead couldn't help but be relieved that she had gone away for now. Baby steps. Jessica and Ridley were still there. Ridley was trying to empathize. For once Liz got to feel what Julian and Marcellus did when she was the one being dense. Though awkward, Liz gave a light laugh at the remark and waved it off. "Y-yeah. She'll be fine." She echoed uneasily. Ridley was trying, and Liz could appreciate that much at least. She also leaned over Jessica, giving the Jynx a pat on the shoulder like she was just another girl at the party. "Thanks." She added to the Jynx with a friendly smile.

After some thought and collecting herself, Liz scanned their surroundings slowly. Leah had not noticed Sableye staring at first until a foreboding chill alerted her. She made eye contact with the Ghost Type and stared, then quickly looked away. Sableye might not understand why the Absol was staring at his human but she gave the impression that it was something he should take issue with. Shame meant it was not OK to do. Marco had presented nothing new that was worth being caught either, leaving Leah embarrassed as much as ashamed that she'd been noticed. "Hey. Weren't we gonna go knock out the wack job that tried to hurt the duchess?" She announced, her gaze floating across the many faces in the area. "I should probably wait to punch people..." She really wanted to just start punching people until they found evidence of the stabbing. Punching things made the bad feelings go away. "Leah? What's up?" She asked curiously as the Absol stood suddenly and padded away from her trainer. Liz glanced from her Absol to the blonde with her and shrugged. "I think she's mad at me. I was kind of a bitch just then." Liz remarked absently. It was certainly a reasonable conclusion to draw. Leah could have lots of reasons to be upset with her trainer. She was fine letting Liz believe she was in trouble.

Leah walked over, sniffing around the floor occasionally in hopes of picking up scents that would intrigue her. She was hoping for a clue to appear as she made her way toward Natasha without being obvious about it. Pretending to have caught a scent if one did not appear to her. Her nose stopped short of touching the young woman's shoes and she raised her head to the owner of those shoes. This was what she really wanted. As long as the young noble didn't chase her off, Leah fully intended to stare at her, reading her, until she either shooed the Shiny red Absol away or gave Leah reason enough to move along. The Absol did her best to look disarming, her horned head ed slightly to the side like she'd seen canine Pokemon do. Humans loved that.

and I don't know if it's her or the rum. ♪

Rowlet perched on top of the rafters staring down at the crowd with undivided attention, a very determined look on his face. He scanned the crowd for something specific, though not even he knew what it was. He just knew that he'd know it when he saw it. Most of the people were clearly busy with their own conversations and - there! The owl spotted something that glimmered in the light. It was the Pokeball, sticking out of someone's pocket! He took flight and swooped into a dive.

The masked villain wasn't to be gotten over on so easily, however. They sent out a Pokemon, a Rowlet just like himself, only larger than average. It fluffed up it's feathers, hooted warningly, and took flight. The two owls flashed past one another, using their speed to inflict extra damage with their flashing talons. The two put on a ferocious battle, sending guests scurrying for safety. Rowlet could hear his Trainer calling warnings below, advising him to be cautious in case the larger opponent overpowered him.

He set his gaze and went in for another flyby clawing but the other Rowlet seemed to have disappeared. Shock crossed Rowlet's face as he started looking around wildly. It was too late, the enemy Rowlet had gone up and hidden among the rafters. Now it dived for a surprise attack that caught Katie's owl off guard. The enemy Rowlet collided so hard that they were both sent crashing to the hard floor. Evil!Rowlet had a taloned foot digging into Rowlet's throat. It looked like the end for our young hero!

Then the oddest thing happened. Rowlet began to glow! It evolved on the spot, forcing Evil!Rowlet off and then quickly pinning it to the spot with a feathered arrow. Evil!Rowlet struggled but could not move at all. Then turning, Decidueye spotted the masked villain and took aim with another arrow. He shot the hand currently holding the diamond encrusted Pokeball and the orb flew high into the air. Using his enhanced speed, Decidueye shot through the air much like a living arrow himself and caughht it out of the air!

The battle was over, the day was saved! Decidueye landed, handing the Pokeball over to a weeping and very grateful Demetri, who was announcing to the hall that today would hereby be known as Decidueye Day! He was being showered in praise and gold when he suddenly and abruptly woke up. He looked around in confusion, realizing he was still in the rafters. Only one thing seemed to have changed. Looking down at his body in surprise, he realized that he had in fact evolved into a Decidueye!

Of all the places that they could have found themselves for a nice quiet getaway, how the hell had they managed to find themselves smack dab in the middle of a murder investigation. Leave it to Katie to get them stuck in such a stupid situation. Scout sighed and tried to let it go. He wondered what it would have been like to find himself the starter of a Trainer who *wasn't* cursed with such terrible luck and lack of decision making skills. Just going through the League, battling the Gym Leaders, no worry whether or not they'd get arrested and ever see sunlight again.

He was bothered by the situation, quite true, but some hidden part of him secretly enjoyed it. 'You may enjoy quiet and peace for a little bit', he thought, 'but how boring would that get after a while?' That was perfectly true. Scout didn't care for the quiet life. He was a Pokemon of action, and the more trouble he could get into the better. He liked having stories to tell, liked - in essence - the ability to prematurely turn Katie's hair gray with stress and worry.

Glancing up at the sudden glow from the ceiling, he spotted a snoozing Rowlet beginning to evolve. Only it didn't evolve to a second stage. Oh no, he seemed to skip that step and go straight to his final form. That was odd, he hadn't even been battling or gaining experience. Little did he know that Rowlet's dream battle had seemed so real to the dumb bird that it had sparked that change needed to under go such a fantastic and unusual metamorphosis.

Hoopa was blissfully unaware of anything taking place in the Orient Hotel's Ballroom. He'd also forgotten all about the mission at hand, or what he was doing here. His entire focus was now on finding the source of that spectral whispering. Hearing such a disembodied voice was enough to convince anyone to run in the opposite direction, but it acted as a magnet in the case of poor Hoopa who was even now hovering towards his own unmaking.

If he'd only known what lay in store at the other end of the summons, would he have heeded the call at all? The answer was yes, because his own actions were now entirely out of his control. Anyone looking at him might well have believed the Legendary Pokemon had been hypnotized! To him, he was acting entirely normally. However to an outside eye his movements were sluggish and confused, his eyes were nearly closed and lacking it's usual spark.

"Hoooooopaaaaaa. Hooooooooopaaaaaaaa. Cooooome tooo meeeeeee. Reeeeleeeease meeeeee." The whisper commanded. Katie had no means to save her Pokemon from it's destiny. Hoopa would be responsible for snapping out of his own confusion. If he couldn't, then the Orient Hotel would face more than one dark, terrible event this day.

Buizel was having a great time! Everything from below her armpits, where Katie's arms were folded around, sort of dangled unsupported. She didn't mind, she was being held and didn't have a care in the world! There was nobody to battle, and no wild Pokemon around, so she was taking it as an opportunity to relax. She had no confusions, she would be expected to battle soon enough, but for now things were quiet. The Humans were busy talking about clues to something, but she couldn't be bothered to pay enough attention even to know what was going on.

Katie, on the other hand, was unpleasantly busied. In fact, she had somehow taken a part right in the heart of the investigation. Sure she'd volunteered to help, but she hadn't really expected to be dragged in this deep. Her motives had mostly been to get Elizabeth off the hook for a crime she knew she hadn't committed. This was beyond her, however. She was no police officer, or Investigator/Detective. She was a Ranger. Her job was to aide Nature and Pokemon worldwide and protect them from harm.

Still, she could at least view this as experience. The more experience one had in the world, the more qualified they were to improve their standing within their own existence. She may well have only been a Rookie now, but she was hoping to one day advance to the more prestigious ranks of the organization. Those were the sort of Heroes written about in stories and who had movies based off of their lives. She wasn't exactly looking for a movie made about her but she couldn't pretend like the honor and fame wasn't appealing in itself.

Katie never could have predicted that her Rowlet would choose this moment to evolve. If someone had told her that the Pokemon would skip an evolutionary step and transform directly into a Decidueye, she'd have called them crazy and recommended a nice refreshing stay in an asylum. Such things just didn't happen as far as her knowledge went. However, that's exactly what happened. Even looking up at the bright light fading to reveal the facts, she couldn't believe her own eyes. "What the...." She muttered, having completely lost track of the conversation involving the murder investigation. "R-rowlet? You're a Decidueye now. How in the..." She trailed off, trying to process it.

On the other side of the room, Munchlax's stomach rumbled audibly. He held his belly and a pained expression crossed his face, but after a moment it passed. As though immediately forgetting about it, he went right back to stuffing his face from the catering table. Apparently nobody bothered to remove the food from his reach because he was able to continue with his gluttonous rampage. It must have been because the staff knew that the food that had been made would need to be eaten one way or another, and many of the guests just weren't in the mood to eat after such a horrific experience.

Ridley felt awkward in the current situation, which was not normal for her. Normally she broke the tension with an insensitive joke, one that usually was at the expense of the other person. Like her many blind jokes she used on her friend Copper. However, what kind of joke was she going to make about a dead parent or ghosts using the depression it caused to feed? Anything she could come u with would make things much worse or even more awkward. Ridley had enjoyed seeing Liz tackling the old ghost. She found it pretty amusing and clearly funny. But now she opted to keep her pretty mouth shut. Liz gave a poor attempt at a laugh as she agreed that Amma would probably get over it, and then pat Jessica on the shoulder and thanked her. "You're welcome" She replied with her naturally sultry voice as she ran her purple fingers through her hair, fixing her waves. Mean while Delphine stepped forward, her paws still clasped on the sides of her face in shock. "Dude, I can't believe you tackled a ghost and Amma of all ghosts." She began to comment, bringing back a different sensitive topic, however instead of shaming her, the Delphox's voice was full of surprise and amazement. "Man you're brave" She replied as she let go of her face and put one of her paws behind her and her staff lifted off of the ground and back into her hand. Liz seemed to change the conversation which Ridley was more then happy to do, Making people feel better was not one of Ridley's specialties. The Redhead commented on punching who ever wanted to hurt the Duchess, but then maybe they'll have to wait for a some conformation. "Yeah, Maybe so. But still, there's a few heads here I'd bash if I could get away with it." She replied taking a moment to gaze out at the other guests in the Ballroom. Aside from someone ruining their night, she also clearly didn't get along with the other blonde with the light pink dress. Ridley couldn't help but roll her eyes again at the sight of the blonde bimbo she ran into when she arrived. By the time she turned her attention back to Liz, her Absol had already been on her way off, to which the redhead commented on her being mad at her for being a bitch. "Nah, that wasn't bitchy, aggressive, but not bitchy." Ridley commented with a shrug with one of her bare shoulders. "Besides, you have a right to be bitchy when ever you want. It makes things fun." Her added with a wide mischievous smile. Ridley knew she fell into the 'bitch' category, and she completely embraced it. She would agree she was a sexy bitch, badass bitch, and straight up bitch. But no one was allowed to call her one. However, Jessica was clearly not as impressed with Ridley's comment, however she elected to stay quiet rather then comment against it and have the blonde use that said 'right' to be bitchy on her.

Cyren Braithwaite

Cyren was struggling to come up with a not Fire Type move that could cause a red flash. Something had set part of the stage on fire but he did not think that was what the camera had caught. At any rate it wouldn't be the same sort of red. The entire situation was starting to feel overwhelming. He wanted to help but the only other idea he had now felt...unlikely at best. "I don't think it would have been a Pokemon being sent out. If they had grabbed the Pokeball maybe they could have been returned with it? But I have no idea if a Pokemon could be returned while holding an occupied Pokeball." He shrugged and frowned. "Having a Pokemon hide the Pokeball with it would be a great way to avoid getting caught if it could work." It was also the explanation that felt the most unrealistic. Then again- he never thought he would find himself living a mystery novel. "It feels more likely that a Pokemon was trying to buy time for its trainer in some way but I can't narrow down a specific move it could have used." Cyren felt terrible for it. He was doing his best to help but he felt like he was totally useless. "I'm sorry I am not more helpful." He was hardly the most intelligent Braithwaite.

Eve wanted to comment that she wasn't small but the little Bulb left before she could. She still puffed up happily and purred. Small but nice. She could take that. The Dragon had little time to enjoy what she had decided was a compliment before she was told to demonstrate what she had heard. That was easy enough! She would need a bit of help but she was sure she could show them where everything had been. "Stand over there." She pushed the Machop in the direction she had heard someone get on the stage. "The thing that came and left was from this way." She positioned the Machop about where she thought the person had got on to the stage from. "Stay." The Noivern began walking towards the Archduchess, pausing occasionally to tap her wings and tail against the stage. She listened closely to the sound it made each time before continuing on. "They would have gone all the way to here." The Noivern's wings were tapped against the stage near the Archduchess before she turned and began walking back towards the Machop. "Then they came back here." She stayed on the corner of the stage for a moment before hopping down. "Jump!" Eve plopped down on the ground then sat up, waving her wings excitedly. "They went this way!"

Demetri listened to Cyren as it seemed he began to think out ""loud. The Baron did find it helpful, his insight was important to the Baron turned detective because it was something he wasn't so clear on. "Hmm, you don't think so?" The baron asked, Cyren didn't think it would be the red flash from the Pokeball. He thought it might have been a good match. He looked to Katie who seemed to have gotten preoccupied with her Pokémon, a larger owl he didn't think she had with her earlier... Then to Elizabeth who gave him an unsure look and a shrug. He thought about what Cyren continued on to, maybe having a Pokémon take the diamond ball into the pokeball with them. He had to take a moment to think if that was actually possible. "Can you do that?" He hesitated. He pulled out a Pokeball and handed it to his Roserade, and then returned his flower. The red beam encased the Pokémon, and returned him, leaving the Pokeball to fall to the ground. The Baron leaned down and picked up his other Pokeball. Turns out you are unable to return a Pokeball. "Well it was a good idea in theory." He expressed as Cyren continued on to purpose the Pokémon was supposedly giving the criminal time. The Baron looked back to the stage where everything would have happened. "You're being very helpful actually, Cyren. You two Katie. I think we're getting onto something here." He told them. "If we're still under the possibility that there was another Pokémon, do you think a Pokémon could have committed one while the person committed the other?" He purposed. He scratched his chin as he thought, he eyed over both Cyren and Katie. Analyzing them as if he could read the answers off of them while he processed the idea. "While we think about that, lets go look at the clues together, all four of us, and see if there's something we can piece together." He told them as he began to move onto the stage. However as he did, Eve had just started her demonstration of what she heard. Demetri hadn't understood what exactly was happening, just that a Machop was being ushered on the stage. However the Archduchess looked at Demetri, Elizabeth, as well as Cyren and Katie if they choice to join, and held up her hand with a stern look. Making it clear that she wanted them to stop, and Demetri knew and stopped dead in his tracks. He gave the guard a puzzled look. "The noivern is showing us what she heard and saw through echo location." He informed the group. Demetri remained quiet but his eyes got wide. While Elizabeth ran her fingers through her hair, holding her short hair back as she leaned around the Baron to watch. The two royals remained silent as Eve began tapping the floor, only the Snubull in Adelaide's lap made a noise, to which the Archduchess places a finger over the muzzle of the canine, silencing her as well. It was pretty self explanatory what Eve was doing, and as she jumped from the stage it was clear that was the exit spot. "That connects back to Elizabeth's story it seems. Wasn't that where you were standing?" He asked her Stepping forward to look back at her. She straightened back up as she looked back to him. "Yes, That's where I was before and after the lights went out." She clarified, emphasizing 'before and after' as she spoke. "That's where I was knocked over." She reminded looking only to the Baron, while the Archduchess eyed her over as if she were an insect. "I was just commenting that both stories match up." Demetri nodded, as he moved forward towards the clues. "That would give the Noivern an alibi. Her scale was found on the other side of the stage." The Archduchess spoke looking to the Baron. He nodded to her as he got to the table. "That is true, if she was on the wrong side of the stage before and after the lights going off, with proof, that would be her alibi, and we could remove her scale from evidence." The Baron confirmed to Eve, plucking her scale off of the table. Finding it easily recognizable. "So, what we have left on the table is the knife of course, with no apparent scent or finger prints. Black Threads from the knife, and Elizabeth's clasp from her bag found there." He pointed to the stage edge where it had been found. He began then looked to the other clues that have accumulated, that he had yet to hear about. "A spinarak confessed for shooting the poisoned needle, and has been dealt with. A long blonde hair was found near the scale, however we have yet to hear back who it belonged too. As well as those light blue beads in the web, those too were found on that side of the stage. Lastly there was a pink feather found out in the foyer." She explained to not only the Baron but anyone near enough and willing to listen. The feather reminded the old woman of the male who turned it in as well as what he finished with before leaving. "The gentleman in the blue turned in the feather and stated another guest," She nodded to Rhienne in the black dress, "And her Pokémon were behaving suspiciously but he didn't supply any proof of this." She Added. She may not have heard anything about the two yet from the Baron, but just in case there had been something come up, she wanted to make sure it was known. "There hasn't been any clues against either of those guests that we know of yet, and there's bound to be finger pointing. Maybe we will follow that lead if we can't find anything." The Baron commented. He could see that Marco had also joined them up towards the stage, however he remained silent, and out of the way with his Sableye on his shoulder. Demetri turned back to Cyren and Katie had they followed along, as well as including the young male, Julian, by the clues table. "Has anything stuck out to any of you?" He asked them as he turned back to look over the clues.

Lucille Natasha Pevensey

The blonde heiress had been minding her own business. She had yet to really find anyone suitable to start a conversation yet, and she was not about to dive into the investigation and possibly draw attention to herself. She remained standing on what would have been the dancefloor, as she fanned herself with her pink feathered fan. Anyone standing close enough, or smelling her, would get wafts of her perfume, which would be sweet, floral and fruity. Definitely top shelf. She had been keeping to herself, at least until she felt her skirts move. She had been wearing a rather sizeable dress, she had to wear the biggest and the best dress. So when she looked down she spotted the red canine having stopped just short of her shoes, which would be under her skirts. She reacted naturally, sucking air in a surprised gasp, and yanking her skirts away, in clear displeasure like she gave the Rockruff. She clearly was looking down upon the Pokémon, however her expression changed. Her eyes searched over the Absol, analyzing the Pokémon very quickly. Her expression shifted to one that was almost friendly. Almost. The opposite of what the Rockruff received. "Well aren't you a beauty? And Shiny no less." She spoke leaning forward to get closer to the Canine. Upon further analysis, it might be seen that her expression was very forced, and her reluctance to reach out and pet the canine like most would be very telling on her opinions on the Pokémon. However, she was no longer looking down at the Absol, there was interest in her eyes, and acknowledgement. Her eyes showed that she knew about Absols despite their rarity, Her shift in expression and body language would show that she was much more intelligent then she let on.

The Baron might have thought he was being helpful but Cyren certainly didn't feel like he was. Puzzles weren't his thing. This was one giant puzzle and he was struggling to piece it together. He couldn't even help figure out potential moves or Pokemon that caused the red flash. "It's possible. A Pokemon that's loyal to its trainer would be willing to help with just about anything I think." Which could be a terrible thing if the Pokemon's trainer was a bad person. When the Baron moved so did Cyren, though he was more or less on autopilot. He was too busy trying to make sense of things. He almost entirely missed what was going on with Eve until they were told that she was trying to show them what she had heard on the stage. Cyren went still, watching his Noivern closely until she hopped off of the stage. They had a direction now. "Mars?" He called his Rockruff over to him, kneeling down so he could pat the pup's head before gesturing to the spot where Eve was now climbing back on to the stage. "Can you tell who else was over there?" Any scents the puppy could have picked up were likely muddled but it was worth a shot. The Rockruff barked before hopping off the stage near Eve, sniffing at the floor around there in the hope that he might pick up something other than the smell of Noivern. Eve didn't seem to notice Mars. She was still too busy trying to walk them through what she had heard. She made her way over to where she heard something fall off the stage next, dragging Venus along with her so she could position her as needed. Having her scale removed from the table was nice but she still had a job to do. She wanted to help! Cyren listened to the two royals go over the clues and frowned. "Between the long blonde hair and the pink feather it feels like whoever we're looking for is female. Assuming the feather and blonde hair belong to the same person that is."

Demetri let everyone take in the information about all of the clues and the current narrative they had to go off of. They were indeed gaining traction, it's just they didn't have a definitive direction to go in. The only ones they could proof didn't commit the crime as Rhya herself, The Archduchess, and a Noivern. Of course, everyone is innocent until proven guilty but they haven't been able to prove anyone's actual innocence aside from Eve. The young Baron found this a bit frustrating. They had the direction and the action that happened, however they haven't been given an actual direction to go in. A decision needed to be made to go in a specific direction and find out what really happened. Cyren had agreed with him in the sense that a Pokémon could have assisted in the crime. The two royals watched the dragon move to the other side of the stage and continued to reenact the events. This aided in his trust for how correct the Noivern was, seeing how that was here he and the guard struggled and fell off the stage. "That is where I was knocked from the stage and landed." Demetri confirmed with a nod to the young Noivern. He looked back to Cyren, who seemed to be the most outspoken about assisting now. Cyren stated that the suspect most likely would be female from the hair and feather. He stopped to look over the table and paused in thought. "I think you're right. So far all of the clues seem to have a more feminine quality. The hair, the feather, the beads..." He spoke, turning back to Cyren, thinking about it. His brows frowned for a moment as he looked to the Archduchess. "Where were the Hair and Feather found?" Demetri asked The older woman. She looked to Demetri and pointed to the floor just on the other side of the stage. "The Blonde hair was picked up there. The Feather apparently was found out in the foyer." The Archduchess clarified simply. The Baron turned back to Cyren still with his thoughtful expression. "You may be on to something here, But I don't think the Hair and the Feather could belong to the same person unless the feather was out there from before the crime." Demetri replied. He didn't think the two could really correlate with each other and the crime. He looked to both Elizabeth, and Marco both who have gone fairly silent. Elizabeth looking uneasy, and seemingly purposefully trying to avoid looking at Marco. The male however seemed to be unconcerned as he watched the investigation unfold. The male clearly didn't want to interject or add anything to the investigation. However, his Pokémon sitting job was over and yet he still remained standing near the stage. Meanwhile Sableye took turns staring at other guests over the male's shoulder.

Mars as he moved over to get the scent of who might have moved through the stage area and land on the spot Noivern had demonstrated. As he would start sniffing he would get quite the array of scents of those that had been in that general area since so much time had passed. He would get scents from; Eve, Julian and his Pokémon, Marcellus and his Pokémon, Liz and her Pokémon, Natasha, Demetri and the Snubbulls, Rhya and her Audino, and Elizabeth and her Cutiefly, and Sableye. As well as a single scent Mars might be familiar with but wouldn't recognize, but it would be easy to tell the scent would come from a Pokémon.

(Sorry to skip you guys, but it's been longer then 2 weeks, and I really am trying to get this solved and released everyone back out. My next post will be on 7/14th unless everyone posts before then.)

For all the discomfort in the room right now, Liz didn't pay much attention to Ridley's. The blonde was far too flamboyant to really be uncomfortable about anything. She sincerely believed this. Delphine's awe didn't help anything. "Ahaha. Me? Naw. I just...you know...I thought she was a bad guy!" Somehow that made everything less cool. In Liz's mind it did. Not that she couldn't appreciate a good hero, the redhead simply believed it was her duty to move against something she thought was evil. Just like it was her responsibility to own it when she had mistaken that particular identity. An aspect she was still working on. At least Amma had been accommodating, that definitely helped her. The old ghost was scary but not bad...that felt weird to admit out loud. Liz looked around as if just realizing the predicament they were in. She looked to the group on the stage and opened her mouth when she saw Leah invading a young woman's personal space. The intensely staring Absol made the redhead think better of interrupting her. That was the look of someone trying to work something out. Best to let the Shiny disaster detector. Belle had gone off into the Foyer and not come back yet. She should check on her Tsareena sooner rather than later. "Hey. Did any of you see where Belle went?" She asked no one in particular. Spike hunkered down as if he had somehow done something wrong, shaking his big spiked head quickly. She looked to Delphine and Jessica with a bit of hope. Just because she had seen Belle heading that way did not mean the Tsareena had actually gone that way. She had clearly exited the room and now Liz was realizing that she didn't know where. Spike straightened up while Princess scampered over to the Ariados so she could help him look. The little Salandit jumped onto Spike's back and perched on her hind legs scanning the room...which might have been helpful had she not been so small!

Leah admittedly did not like the initial response of Miss Pevensey. She didn't flinch when the woman recoiled at first, but she did jerk back when Natasha reached out to her. Even if she didn't intend to touch the Absol had learned to distrust first contact. Some humans liked to act friendly until you were close enough to hit. She gave the woman a cautious sniff, committing to the part of a distrustful little beast who seemed more like a lost pup than the pensive investigator she had become tonight. Neither touched the other and Leah caught that glint of intellect. Another red flag for the Absol. Instincts were screaming to get back to Liz--maybe into her ball if she could--before this human did something she would have to fight. Liz cared, for all the things she would tend to say about Dark Types. Leah knew Liz would fight for her. That was enough to know. She struggled with basic fear enough to keep Natasha's gaze. This woman was far too smart to be playing the part of a damsel. Yet here she was, behaving as though she had literally anything better to do with her night. If only Leah had some of the other information the rest of the investigation team had. She could see the fan clearly enough but knew nothing of the feather with the others. Leah scooted back to provide Natasha with more space and continued to keep her attention on the woman. This was of interest to the Absol, she didn't want to lose the suspicious creature without learning more! Hesitantly, Leah bowed her head, offering her furred crown for a pat if Natasha was so inclined. She couldn't watch Natasha anymore, so she tried to listen to her words. She inhaled the scent. There was hope yet to figure out what she was behaving so strangely for!

Ridley remained quiet on the situation, sensitive subjects were not her forte. She let Delphine take the focus off of the topic at hand, and remained out of focus for the moment. She took the moment to check her nails while Delphine spoke. "I can't wait to see that again on a real bad guy! Or like... someone that's not already a ghost..." Delphine added with a grin, not effected by her 'less cool' comment. Delphine was one of Ridley's more... excitable Pokemon. She was much more fun loving then the rest of Ridley's beauty Pokemon. Even from a Fenniken she was easy to rally into shenanigans or get worked up. This annoyed Ridley, but it also was endearing to her. Seeing how much excitement and joy she could get out of little or stupid things. It was childlike which reminded her of her little sister. Probably the only kid she liked. Ridley looked to where her Absol had ran off to, because Liz was being a 'Bitch' which Ridley found she was a bit too tame. She saw the Canine sniffing at the blonde bimbo that she ran into when she arrived. She was hoping Leah would take a chunk out of her gaudy dress. But turned back to Liz asking which way her Tsarenna had gone. Ridley couldn't help but shrug her shoulders. She hadn't really been paying attention to her own Pokemon, much less Liz's. She was thankful she had only let out the three she had, she knew she wouldn't care to keep track of them. However Delphine hummed a response meaning 'I dunno' She had been too enthralled with the idea of someone tackling Amma without getting in trouble or grounded. Jessica was more observant then the other two present, Ridley could be observant if she cared more. The Jynx turned around thinking for a moment before looking back to Liz. "I saw her walk towards the doors." Jessica replied calmly, gesturing towards the doors that lead to the foyer.

Natasha held her pleasant smile at the Absol. She did at least until she recoiled, causing the blonde to also recoil her gloved hand away from the Pokemon just as quickly. Almost as if she had worried the canine would bite. Her face showed concern for a moment, but it wouldn't be hard to understand that her concern wasn't for the Absol, or not completely at least. Her expression quickly softened once again as the Absol stepped back and away from her and her skirts. The canine, at least she believed they were canine, gave her a look of unease but then bowed her head. Natasha didn't understand why the Pokemon would come to her if she was clearly uneasy. Natasha could only chalk it up to the Pokemon's nature. She knelt down, by bending her knees and leaning forward so only her sparkly high heels were still the only thing touching the ground. She didn't reach out again, but looked at the Pokemon now at her level. "I've never seen an Absol in person. Especially not a shiny." She reiterated from before. The blonde took that moment to take advantage of the bowed head as acceptance. She reached back out and gently, and almost awkwardly pet her horn. Unsure of if that was where she was suppose to pet. She gave her a few gentle, but quick, pets on her horn before pulling her free hand back. This would give the shiny Pokemon enough time to get a good whiff of her. She would have a clean scent about her, but it would be very clear to her that she were wearing perfume, like the Rockruff learned. It might be to a Canine, but normally to a person her perfume wouldn't be over bearing. It would be full of sweet floral scents, clearly a wealthy and luxury perfume. The blonde looked around herself, as if expecting a trainer to be near by. While she was able to see her trainer, she wasn't any where closer then anyone else. She looked back to the Absol, looking her over again as if she were analyzing her. It was clear she knew the rarity of her. "If only you predicted what a mess the night would be." She commented with a feminine sigh. She tilted her head a bit in thought. Making it clear she at least knew about the Absol species. She wasn't afraid of the Absol, at least not afraid their legends. It made it clear that she knew they could sense danger. "Maybe you did." She added raising her eyebrows, however her smile stayed friendly. She was reading the Pokemon's unease a possibly knowing the crime would happen. "Oh well, doesn't matter now." She suddenly shrugged off as if what ever she was thinking didn't matter.
