 "A vibrant town that has grown up around an ancient mural tucked away in the mountains."
Far to the west, tucked up into the mountains, canyons and cliffs that make up what would have been a desolate part of the Galar region, civilization has thrived in the desert landscape. There aren't any sky scrs or luxury shopping stores in Stow-On-Side, but that doesn't make the town any less of a destination location in the Galar Region. It is known as an artful place, many travelers come to this part of the region, merchants and artists, inspired by the beautiful mountain landscape and the ancient art murals that can be found on the mountain faces. Many foreign goods, and art pieces are traded and made here, pieces from other regions or from lands far beyond the reaches of established civilzation. Other points of interest that put Stow-On-Side on the map are the stadium that sanctions one of the region's league challenges, and a scientist trying to make a name for themselves with a small commercial trailer tucked somewhere on a canyon top.
{ Stow-on-Side Stadium (Click)}Allister is the official Gym Leader of the Stow-on-Side Stadium. He specializes in ghost type Pokemon and gives out the Ghost Badge to those who defeat him. Not much is really known of the young boy. He took over the Stadium after Bea was promoted to the Elite 4. He is one of the youngest gym leaders in the world, however he doesn't let this hold him back. He is always seen wearing his mask, some believe this is due to his insecurities in his young age and fears. He has hundreds of masks of the same design and keeps spares around him just in case. There is a single picture circulating of him in his dressing room without his mask on revealing his face, despite him claiming to be alone. Most believe this was supernatural causes. Though he is a friendly and normal boy, he clams to have the ability to see Ghosts and sprites, not just Ghost Types due to an accident. Allister's Stadium sits in the back of Stow-on-Side's village, at the edge of a small lake. His Gym matched the design of Milo's and Nessa's with it's round shape and purple exterior. However it is accented with a deeper purple color. Inside his lobby matches the previous gyms, where you can even buy his mask in the gift shop. Though most believe ghosts follow the wearer of each mask. Once lead to the changing room it is requested and encouraged to wear the given uniform at the start of the league. Once ready they will be lead to a separate room where the Gym Challenge is made mandatory. The trainer must sit in a large circular bumper car and ride down a large inclined maze. They must spin the bumper car to turn it down paths, if stuck down a wrong path the bumper car will be reversed back up the track where they must start completely over. The steering can be tiring and it is encouraged to use your Pokemon team to assist if they can fit in the car. Once they make it to the bottom, they will be given time to get over their dizziness where they will be lead into the stadium. After all- Good items come to those who attempt to search. She started searching around the Statue of the two galarian king and the two dogs, and worked from there. Florina continued to help search, but their huger to the best of them. She wet to the market and bought a few food items, and gave her Ponyta an ice cream while he enjoyed one as well. They then went back to searching for artifacts. Deciding she could piece together what happened from there, he began to search through his bag to make sure nothing was missing. Finding everything in it's place, he checked his Pokeballs. "Alright you lot, come on out." One by one, his Pokemon made their appearance in similar beams of glowing red energy. Despite not knowing the Galar Region even existed, Thomas had a Yamper, a Snom, and a very under-sized Sizzzlipede. However, not native to Galar, he also had a Butterfree and Vivillon. If he had any others, they would remain a mystery for the moment.

Even moving west now to continue her journey through the region, flying from Hammerlocke and flying over arid canyons and dried dirt paths, the next small town that was on her map to visit was cultivated in the hills and dunes that were naturally there in this western portion of the region.
The town of Stow-On-Side was truly the strangest name she had seen yet, but Emiri was delighted at the simplicity of the town, almost as if it were more a settlement still than anything. No large buildings, no busy walkways, it was all very natural and local, and that suited her just fine. Emiri landed with her Pokemon and made her way towards the Pokemon Center, again recognizing though one of those large stadiums out in the distance atop a hill. She came into the Pokemon Center and greeted Nurse Joy, claiming her next stamp for the Galar Region to keep on her way. Elfana Aroway Stow-On-Side was about what she expected. Dirt, a couple of market stalls, more dirt, zero color divergence between the buildings and the environment, and, of course, more dirt. How anyone could willingly live there was beyond her. The most visually appealing thing in the town were the fruits in the stalls. Even those looked like that had the life sucked out of them by the exposure to the bright sun overhead. She had seen more cheerful looking graveyards. Elfana was glad she only had to pass through Stow-On-Side one more time on the way back from Ballonlea. Even that felt like too much. She, of course, rushed through to the Pokemon Center. There was no reason for her to linger in a desert when she could be exploring Glimwood Tangle instead. Kiro was sent in to collect the stamp this time as she really didn't feel like dealing with the nurse. She was busy checking through her things to make sure they had enough to camp out in the forest. As soon as the Croagunk returned with the stamp, Elfana and her Pokemon left Stow-On-Side.Galar

Elfana Aroway If Haruka's paws weren't so aggressively orange, she would have concluded that orange was a terrible color. Stow-On-Side's appearance wasn't any better the second time through. If anything it was worse. Fortunately the town was mercifully small. She would be able to get through it in no time at all and return to Hammerlocke. They only had three towns left in Galar before they returned home. Elfana had decided that Unova would be the next region they tackled. It was going to take the longest and she didn't like the idea of shipping her samples back to her lab. She would make sure they got there safely. Elise could handle the rest. Visiting home would also give her a chance to check up on her Steelix. She trusted Elise to take care of him but checking up on him herself would be good for him. Elise frightened him sometimes with how excitable she could be and it would be good for him to see one of the few creatures he trusted fully. After Unova she would head to Hoenn and then circle back to Sinnoh. It seemed like a solid enough plan. Once they were back in Sinnoh she could meet up with Saiphe and apologize for vanishing like she had. The whole thing had been more than a bit petty on her part. She wasn't looking forward to that particular encounter.Galar

However, it turned out to be a lovely place. They landed in a sort of open market selling anything Kira could imagine. She went looking, even ended up buying some fresh fruit for them all to enjoy. They spent about an hour just walking around and examining the wares on display, but Kira really didn't need any of the items. What she did need was a stamp from the Pokemon Center. As soon as they were done looking, that's exactly where Kira went. The Nurse stamped her book, she pocketed it, and they were off yet again.
Kira was wholly intending to visit at least three or four more places today. It was early enough that it shouldn't be hard. She just had to hope nothing came up to distract them. Here, however, Christina decided that they had to part ways. Kira was on a mission, and on a time limit. Christina had to stay and compete for the rest of Galar's Gym Badges. It was hard, and sad, but they had to go on with their own individual paths. They hugged, shed some tearful goodbyes, exchanged numbers as well as promises to meet up again, and that was that.
Kira flew off. She glanced back and saw her best friend waving at her from the ground before disappearing from sight.
