Aside from the Galar League Season and the incredible phenomena known as Dynamax that is specific to the region, Galar is famous for its vast expanses of natural landscapes in between its major routes and cities. Each of these mapped areas span for miles and miles in each direction, providing a unique environment to the Pokemon that call this giant expanse home. Ranging from giant forests to sprawling fields of grass, to lakes and small islands or enormous cliff faces and dusty rocks, there are so many different kinds of environments and so many different kinds of Pokemon that can be found in the Galar Region, that it has become a true marvel.

Church flew down the lane trying to make up for lost time, swerving here and there around large boulders as he entered a rocker terrain. From here he could just make out The lake of rage, calm despite it's name. He wondered what kinds of pokemon made the place their home, hopefully some strong pokemon. He had heard around town that it was the best place to look in the area. Which hopefully meant it was worth the effort of getting there. At least it had better, after the incident with the Roserade he was rather in a bad mood. As he pulled up on the shore he put his bike away where he could retrieve it later and set up camp. By the look of the sky he had made it here faster than he had planned, and so he decided to quickly set up camp and have some lunch.

Church released his pokemon and served each of them a plate of curry before sitting down and eating himself. He waited for them to all finish before heading over to his Helioptile and Inkay, watching them for a few moments before finally giving them names to make things easier. He didn't care what they thought of their new names and returned them to their pokeballs without a word immediately after, returning the rest of his pokemon as well to their pokeballs besides Maw. Once he was finished he packed up camp and changed into a pair of swim trunks before stashing his things with his bike. With everything hidden safely away Church headed down to the lake with Maw and wadded into the cool waters. He let the water wash away the gravel imbedded in his knees for a moment and enjoyed the feeling as the pain was swept away. Maw soon joined him and the two struck out for the opposite shore, Maw keeping an eye out for wild pokemon as his trainer swam ahead with strong strokes.

As Church reached Giant's Cap his luck took another turn for the worst. He was forced to stop as a blizzard roared in and changed into his dry clothes as fast as he could. By the time he got back onto his bike his teeth were chattering from the cold but he forced himself to stop shivering. Soon he would reach Hammerlocke and buy the hottest food he could in the warmest restaurant he could find. It wasn't much further. He chanted this as he rode headlong into the driving snow, only just able to make out the path in front of him as he headed for Hammerlocke hills.

Church sailed down the path leading through the rocky Giant's cap, forcing his mind to remain in the present in an attempt to fix his bad mood. As he rode he tried to list off steel or poison types he had seen in the wild area so far. Corviknight, Pawniard, Klank... he would kill for a good Nidoking right now. His last nidoking he had procured from a man that came over from the sinnoh region, and a part of him knew going to another region to train would be a good idea. However a part of him really hated the idea of leaving Galar. It felt too much like running away. He sighed and stashed his bike before wadding into the water, too distracted this time to worry about being attacked by wild pokemon as he struck out for the land across the waters.

Church wadded out of the water and onto the shore, shaking the water droplets from his snowy hair before moving to the bush where he had stashed his things. He pulled on a dry pair of clothing and tossed his backpack on before heading off. The sun was high above, masked by a layer of clouds that turned the land dark. It was the kind of overcast weather Church tended to like, not too bright like most good days. It reminded him of a weird mix of night and day, and the shadows put him at ease. With a smile he headed off to the stony wilderness.

As Church retraced his way back through the wildzone the air crackled with electricity. He was sopping wet by the time he reached Giant's cap and continued on stubbornly through the rocky trails. At least by now the rain had let up a little, although the thunder boomed loudly and lightning split the sky every few minutes or so. Determined, he continued onward to Hammerlocke hills.
