From the ocean and into a tributary and a fair ways into the central main land, a large body of water made it's way into central Hoenn south of Fortree City and west of Lilycove City, but it's what's in the center of this body of water that makes it as important as it is, for situated on a plot of land, an island of sorts, is Mt. Pyre. For all in Hoenn, Mt. Pyre is a sacred place, a place where people from all over the region and all over the world come and pay their respects to the souls of the buried Pokemon that remain there. The entirety of the mountain has since been hallowed out of the years and used as a final resting place for the Pokemon that are buried there, where even on the outside of the mountain and the summit there are some mausoleums and larger graves that hold their place. It is a deeply respected area and heavily protected by the people of Hoenn, and many come out of respect to take care of the graves and markers that others have left.
