 "A pure white beginning."
Pallet Town is located in western Kanto and serves as the hometown of Professor Oak's Laboratory, where the famous Pokémon Prof. conducts his research. The small town is accessible in two ways: from the north via Route 1 that leads directly to Viridian City, and from the south via Route 21, a water route, that leads to Cinnabar Island. It is spacious in Pallet Town with most houses separated by fields and dirt roadways, or hills that come from the landscape of Mt. Moon to the north. Trees and shrubbery are sparse here, but that doesn't mean that there aren't an abundant amount of Pokemon that roam around the area, as well as an abundant amount of new and old trainers alike that are coming through the train station that resides at the south west end of the town.

Rakutsu stopped walking in front of Route 1 as he exited the famous Pallet town with a pokeball in his hand. This was the most exciting moment in his life to date! Well...it's a close second to his grandpa's ranch, but still. It was a dream of children to be able to met their first pokemon when starting a journey and that day is today.
"Come on out!" Rakutsu cheered releasing his new partner in a red flash. The Charmander was shown to be very energetic and jumped right into his arms. The two walked down the dirt path and were both filled with confident as to what the future would throw at them.

Kira excitedly took the Pokeball containing Charmander from the Pokemon Professor. She politely thanked him and lead Riolu back outside and into the morning sun. "Come on, Riolu!"She called out happily, taking off at a run towards the unknown, the wilds of Kanto and Rt. 01. Exploring the route, she wanted to make sure not to miss anything important. Perhaps there were rare items, or Pokemon she wouldn't expect here. Once she was a good distance from Pallet Town, she pulled the small red-and-white orb from her bag. Pressing the center button, it expanded to it's full size and she called Charmander out of the Pokeball. "Come on out!" The Pokemon materialized from a stream of red energy. "Hello, I'm Kira. I'm your Trainer now." Her voice held happiness and excitement, and she couldn't wait to become friends with her Pokemon. "Riolu, come meet Charmander." The two Pokemon stood face to face, Riolu smiled and waved.
Charmander glanced at Kira, before returning the smile. "Char!" It called out happily. -Backpack-

There were sparse trees lining the path between Pallet Town and Viridian City, sunlight filtered through the branches casting beams of random light to the grassy ground under-foot. A small patch of shadow drifted across the ground, like a lost balloon crossing the sun's path. Kira didn't notice the shadow at first, but Riolu was very observant. She pulled lightly at her Trainer's dress. "Look, up there." Riolu pointed skyward. Kira's gaze followed where her Pokemon was pointing, noticing the strange object drifting lower and lower towards the ground.
"What is that, I wonder?" She muttered out loud to herself. Could it have been a balloon? A Pokemon? She chased after it, it still wasn't low enough where she had been sitting with her two Pokemon. She had neared Viridian by the time it was her height, still drifting along slowly, as if it had nowhere important to be. Pulling out her Pokedex, she continued to follow the Pokemon along. "So it's a Drifloon, huh?" Again she was talking to herself. "This one looks different, it must be a shiny!" She had never seen a shiny Pokemon before, and she wasn't going to let this opportunity pass her by.
Glancing down to her two Pokemon, she grinned. She threw an empty Pokeball, pulling the wild Pokemon inside. It shook once, twice, thrice, and the center flashed as the Pokeball sealed the Driftloon inside. "Yes!" She exclaimed in excitement, hugging her Riolu. She collected all her Pokeballs, and continued exploring.

Nothing too exciting was happening. She had seen other trainers passing by catch the occasional Ratatta, but she wasn't very interested in that Pokemon. Sitting down on a patch of grass, she dug around in her bag until she found a small container of food her Mother had packed for her dinner.
She split the meal in half with Riolu, who ate happily beside her. "What do you think so far, we got a Charmander and caught a Shiny Drifloon." Riolu smiled up at Kira, popping the rest of the food into her mouth.
"I think we're well on our way." Both friends were excited to get to the next town and face the Gym Leader, but a passing Trainer had told them that the Leader was strong. She had a feeling she should train some more before trying her luck.
"We can try the Gym Leader tomorrow." She noted the sun beginning to set in the distance. Light clouds had begun to roll in as well. An hour later the moon would be high up in the sky, and the stars would twinkle down at her. Trainer and Pokemon shared a sleeping bag, and stared up at the stars, hoping it wouldn't rain as they didn't have a tent.

Apollo began out of the lab and out into the small town again. The blast of cool air was refreshing for Apollo in his current state of jet lag. Apollo began down the street towards Viridian, The City of Kanto. Apollo could pretty much already see the sky scrs on the horizon, and he couldn't wait. He had been to Viridian before, just for two days for his touring, but he made sure to hit all the clubs that night with some of his friends. Namingly Victoria, Jinx and Vamira. The brunet continued to walk down the street, looking upwards at the clouds, day dreaming as he walked. He stared at all the shapes they created as he went, not really paying attention as he walked. A smile began to creep across his face, as he lightly tossed his head back, bumping it into Teddy's large fluffy head. Teddy let out a grunt as he rubbed his head. He looked to Apollo and hit him back in the head, but it really wasn't that strong of a hit, even though it was intended to be. " Hey! I'm just getting your attention!" he said with a laugh, and reached back and plucked him out of the pack, and held him in his arms. One arm resting under the bears legs, and the other across his torso. " I think you'll like it in Viridian. It's almost like back home in Unova, but just a bit smaller." Apollo told him, looking down at the little bear, while Teddy looked up at him with his wide eyes. " Ursa" he responded in his little voice, probably meaning something along the lines of ' I hope so. At some I had a warm bed...' which would be a little grumpy contrary to his light tone. Teddy was as much of a morning person as Apollo was, though the young man had to deal with it when working for the News Station. Back in the band, all of their shows were during the night, which enabled him to sleep through the day, but now he had a job to do, he had to suck it up. Apollo had been walking for quite some time, and his attention span was already going haywire. Apollo wasn't really use to being alone, and while he was with Teddy, their conversations seemed to be very one sided. Apollo was use to being surrounded by friends, and even at PNN he was surrounded by people he liked to bother. He was ready to be in the city, and see people, rather then the rolling pastures. It was starting to drive him insane. He began to consider thinking about calling Vamira or Iradessa, some of his best friends in the band, but he didn't want to bother them too early in his journey. and He'd want to show off as he went, so he wanted to get somewhere where he could.
Teddy tapped Apollo's chest, capturing his attention. Apollo looked down at him with a puzzled look. Teddy gave a generic "Te!" and swung one of his feet down to tap the Pokeball in Apollo's pocket. "Oh! You're right Teddy! I never let my Squirtle out!" He said, reaching down and pulled the Pokeball out, to release the little turtle. The Pokemon looked up at him and ed his head to the side. "Hi little guy. I'm going to be training you." He told him, leaning down and patting his head. The Squirtle ed his head the other way making Apollo's face scrunch up with excitement. "Oh my Arceus. You are just too cute!" Apollo said shaking one of his hands, being unable to contain his excitement. The little squirtle looked to the bear in his arms. "Is he always that weird..?" The started asked, but all Teddy could do was nod, closing his eyes at knowing how true that question was. Violetta rushes out of the lab and right into the tall grass and field outside of town that lead to Viridian City. As soon as Pallet town was out of sight, Vi reaches into her pocket and pulls out the two pokeballs still containing pokemon and tossing them into the air. "Come on out guys!"
Seconds later, two pokemon burst out of the pokeballs and land on the ground in front of her, well, her new Charmander does. Her shiny Drifloon Diana circles around her head and trills in happiness. Violet, Rune, and Diana had been together for a very long time now, seven years with Rune and almost four with Diana. Rune jumps off Violet's shoulder, having a verbal conversation with Diana as Violetta crouches down to talk to her new friend. "Hi. I'm Violet. This is Rune and Diana."
She extends her hand to the Charmander whom, after a moment, reaches out and puts his hand in hers. "Char!" He grins up at her before trotting into her arms so she can hug him. He grins up at her and Violet sits in the grass. "You're a real charmer aren't you? That's it, from now on I'll call you Charmy. Do you like that?"
"Char!!" Charmy grins and nuzzles into her. Rune and Diana come over, Rune extending his hand towards the new friend. Charmy leaves Violet's arms with little encouragement and starts socializing with the other two easily. Violetta smiles and watches, excited about her future.

A few hours later, after the foursome had been walking and playing, Violet drops onto her rear under a particularly shady tree, stretching her arms above her head. Charmy, Rune, and Diana seem to be getting along just fine - they'd been playing together nonstop for the last few hours - and were rightly tired. It's such a nice day, and they're only going to rest for a little while before continuing on, so Violetta decides to keep them out of their pokeballs.
The redhead pulls a book out of her backpack as the three pokemon settle down around her. Charmy curls up next to her, head resting on Vi's thigh as his eyes drift close, Diana had flown high up into the tree, but upon seeing Charmy curl up for a nap she floats down until landing on Violet's head, little eyes closing as her arms hang on either side of Violet's ears, almost like a crown. Rune of course takes up his space in Violet's lap, tilting his head back to look at his partner before speaking. Vi? Would you read to me?
"Of course." Violet rubs her Riolu's head before opening the book and beginning the chapter aloud. Ten minutes into reading, Violet glances down to see Rune and Charmy sound asleep, and the light, rhythmic bobbing on the top of her head tells her Diana's also sleeping just as soundly. Violetta smiles and pulls her Riolu closer, resting her chin on his head and allowing her eyes to close for just a moment.

When Violet opens her eyes, the sun is quickly setting and the air is starting to get chilly. The teenage sits up quite suddenly and rubs her eyes, she doesn't remember falling asleep but it seems nothing has disturbed her and her team while she's been snoozing. Somehow in her sleep, Violetta had fallen onto her side on the grass, Rune curled up next to her and Diana resting comfortably on top of Charmy's back. Her pokemon are all still asleep, so Violet reaches into her hip pack for her new pokedex and opens it up. It's pretty high tech, and full of pertinent information including what wild pokemon she can find on this route. Unfortunately, the only ones she can get from here are Pidgey and Rattata, and she's not interested in either of them. She closes her dex and puts it back in her hip pack, replacing the compact computer with her pokeballs.
She's gotta make it into Viridian city tonight, that way she can crash in a real bed in the Pokemon Center before heading the rest of the way to Pewter City. There is a gym in Viridian, however Violet's done her research on the area and there's no way she's ready to face that level of competition yet. Blue Oak is famous in more than just this region for his battle prowess, and Violet's just getting started. Maybe one day when her pokemon are stronger she'll come back and face him. Until then, she's headed to Pewter City to face the gym leader there.
Violet puts her pokemon back into their pokeballs once by one, then double-clicks the center button of the red and white orb to shrink it into it's standby size - about the size of a golf ball - before putting them into her hip pack and standing up. She swings her backpack onto her shoulders and takes off at a brisk job down the rest of the path. It's getting late and Violetta is not too keen on being ambushed by wild pokemon in the middle of the night.

Kane walked down the road leaving Pallet Town, holding Bulbasaur in their arms and enjoying the fresh air. "So Bulbasaur," they said with a mischievous grin, "How do you feel about ghosts?""Bulba?" The small Pokemon twisted around in Kane's arms to look up at them in confusion. "Saur? Bul, bulba?""Yeah, ghosts! I study them, see. I'm interested in -- hold on, who's that up ahead?"Kane slowed down as they approached another person walking along the path. It looked to be a boy a few years younger than Kane, and he was also holding a Pokemon in his arms - a Charmander, to be precise. Kane smiled, and jogged the last few steps to catch up with the young teen. Ordinarily, they might be a bit more shy and opposed to talking to a perfect stranger, but the excitement of the day was making Kane feel peculiarly extroverted. "Hullo!" they greeted. "Did you just get your starter Pokemon too?"

Rakutsu picked up the pace with his walking a while back, but started to slow down after a few good minutes. It was already starting to get late and he wasn't near his place! Hopefully at this rate he can get to his place in Viridian by night fall. Stopping in his tracks he would hear a feminine voice coming from behind him and turned to see who it belonged too. He saw what he though was a girl in punk style clothing holding a Bulbasaur in her hands. The opposite of his Charmander. "Hey what's up? I did. You?"

"Yup!" Kane replied, grinning wide. "My name's Kane; pleased to meet you!" They shifted their Bulbasaur to be held in one arm (the tiny dinosaur grumbled quietly at being jostled), and moved to extend a hand. However, they noticed that the younger teen was eyeing them a tiny bit longer than may have been customary, no doubt taking in their androgynous appearance with a bit of confusion. "Oh, uh, right," they stammered, suddenly more self-conscious. "I'm agender, which is a gender identity that means that I don't identify as either male or female. I use they-them pronouns, because they're gender-neutral, and prefer to dress androgynously. Does that, uh, hopefully clarify things?" Kane gave a smile that was slightly forced, but only because this was a stage of introductions that they were never able to get used to. It can be scary to explain these things to new people, without knowing how they're going to react, after all. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Rakutsu shook her hand back and stopped after she begun to give her explanation of her gender. He gave a confused look to her for most of it, but nodded after she was done explaining.
"Right. Your gonna have to forgive me then. I never really learned about any of that growing up. I alwayed assumed people were one or the other."

Kane smiled at Rakutsu, and shrugged. "Yeah, most people aren't aware of alternate gender identities unless it directly affects them. Don't worry about it. It's not a huge deal or anything; I just told you because you looked confused." They chuckled, and bent down to set Bulbasaur on the ground. "If you ever have any questions about it though, I'd be happy to answer them. But anyway, shall we get going? It's gonna get dark before too long."They started walking, hands shoved in the pockets of their jacket, with Bulbasaur waddling alongside them. The sun was starting to slowly set, lengthening the shadows of the trees that lined the path. ~ After a little while of walking and making idle conversation with Rakutsu, Kane stopped dead in their tracks and pressed a hand to their temple, wincing slightly. Then, a wicked grin slowly spread across their face, and they turned to the younger teen and asked rapidly, "Tell me, how do you feel about ghosts, spirits, poltergeists, and other paranormal entities? Do you like them? Are you scared of them? Are you dubious as to their existence?" Kane was practically bouncing out of their skin with uncontrollable excitement, a sparkle in their eyes that almost made them look a bit crazed.

Kane waited exactly half a second for Rakutsu to reply to their fanatic question before tearing off excitedly into the bushes along the side of the dirt road, Bulbasaur running clumsily behind. They had felt a sensation that they usually only encountered in the Soul House back in Lavender Town -- that of a spirit's presence in the mortal plane. They were beyond thrilled to feel it again here, just outside pallet Town, and so soon after starting their journey. After jogging among the trees and underbrush for a couple of short minutes, however, the sensation faded, leaving Kane blind as to the location of the spirit. Kane heaved a frustrated sigh, cursing the unreliability of their unusual skill. "Saur?" Kane felt a tiny paw prod their ankle, and looked down to see Bulbasaur staring up at them in confusion and mild concern. Kane's face cracked into a smile, and they bent down to scoop up the small dinosaur. "Sorry Bulbasaur, that was probably a bit alarming when I took off like that, huh? I wasn't kidding when I said I'm interested in ghosts!" Kane chuckled, and patted Bulbasaur's head. "I promise I won't ever leave you behind though.""Bul, bulba!" The Pokemon replied happily curling a vine around Kane's wrist affectionately. Just then, something rustled in the bushes behind them. Startled, Kane turned swiftly around, and their eyes widened excitedly as they saw a Pokemon they had never personally encountered before. It looked a lot like the Drifloon they had read about in their personal studies of ghost-types, but its coloring was unusual, and Kane blinked in confusion. Then, something clicked into place in their mind, and it took all of their willpower not to scream with excitement. "It's shiny! Hot dang, Bulbasaur, a shiny Drifloon! This must be what I was sensing a moment ago. We have to catch it!"Upon hearing Kane's voice, the Drifloon turned to face the, its balloon-like tendrils waving gently as it moved. "...Loon?" It said, sounding more curious about Kane than cautious. "Hello there!" Kane said to it quietly. "My name's Kane. I' a Pokemon trainer and paranormal researcher, and I wanna specialize in ghost-type Pokemon!" They grinned as they noticed the Drifloon seemingly perk up in interest, and it floated slightly closer. "So what do you say - would you like to come with me, and be my first ghost Pokemon?""Loon! Drifloon!" The ghost trilled in reply, bobbing in the air and smiling. "Dude, sweet!" Kane's grin widened, and they fished an empty pokeball out of their bag. They held it out to the Drifloon, and the ghost bopped the button with its head. In a flash of red light, it disappeared inside the pokeball, which shook gently in Kane's hand until a tiny click sounded. "Hell yeah! Oh my god, this is so cool, isn't it Bulbasaur?" Kane looked down at the Pokemon in their arms and nodded, and Bulbasaur nodded enthusiastically in reply.
"Alright, well, we've got a lot of training to do now! Let's be on our way." And with that, Kane turned and headed back to the road, continuing on to Viridian City. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Clementine steps out of Professor Oak's laboratory with her brand new charmander. "Charmander, please come out of your pokeball. I wish to meet you." Clementine asked of the charmander. Charmander flew out in a blinding red light. They both stared at each other for a few seconds. They then proceeded to grasp each other in a tight hug. "I wish to become best friends with you." Exclaimed Clem. "Char" charmander blurted, "char."
Charmander and Clementine sit on the beach in Pallet Town. Clementine is petting the Charmander and feeding it. Charmander gets nervous at something out in the ocean. Clem turns to see what it is and she sees a shiny dratini flick its tail out of the water. She exclaims, "I'll catch you one day."

Unfortunately though, that left Vitus in a weakened state, his life force drained and stolen from him, leaving him in the shell of a small Squirtle. When the shadows had pulled away the first time and the Mismagius fled with the energy stolen from his partner, Finn could hardly believe that he was looking at the same young Squirtle whom he had known as a child. It was such a long time, tweleve or so years ago, that he had received and befriended Vitus as a Squirtle, only really now remembering as far back as he could to Vitus being a Wartortle at least. Looking down upon him then made Finn feel like a child again, but it was far from a gleeful or heartwarming feeling. His life had been drained, but he was still himself in his concsiousness and otherwise. He was angry and wanted nothing more than to see the witch burn, but despite his tenacity, he was weak and they needed time. The witch was strong to begin with, and with a whole life force, and who knew what else now, stored away in her ghastly being, there was no telling how much stronger the witch had become. One thing was for certain though, they weren't going to idly sit by and wait for her to return, they wanted to find her first if they could.
With Bade's power and being tied to other planes of existence and dimensions beyond mortal thought, she was able to hone in on the Mismagius' dark energies, but only for so long. On Scarux's back and Bade flying ahead, they flew for well over a day to follow the ghost, finding themselves far to the east and above the coast of the southern Kanto Region before they lost the path they were following. Bade lofted in the air on her wings high above in the clouds, seething and cursing herself for not being able to find the witch.
"Aye, we lost the witch, didn't we," Finn breathed, sitting atop Scarux as the two of them looked at the wyvern in the air, and Bade growled at the mere notion, despite the lack of hostility or degration Finn held in his voice.
"She can't disappear for long, not being the parasite that she is," Bade hissed, glancing around with her sharp blue eyes.
"She thrives off of the life forces of other beings, she'll show up somewhere soon for her next target," Bade continued.
"It might be a while? I'm sure Vitus makes one hell of a meal," Scarux commented, earning a pointed glare from both Finn and Bade around him.
"Got it... Too soon," the dragon growled, turning from Bade's harsh stare.
"What do you want to do Phineas," Bade questioned, looking to her human then, just as one would their captain, wondering how he wanted to go about this witch hunt. He knew that he was tired from the trip all the way across the world, and their teammates needed a bit of rest too. The witch was strong, and was only growing stronger, so they needed to be ready, that was one thing for certain.
"We need to gather our wits, we need time to prepare," Finn spoke after a moment, having to fight against his most base, reckless instincts in wanting to go into this head first. He knew now that the witch was only more powerful after gaining Vitus' energy, and he didn't want to risk any damage done after having struggled to best her the first time.
"That witch is strong, which means we need to be stronger. Bade, find her. We'll make land here and make sure we're ready for when that witch bears her energy," he finished, knowing there was land beneath them that they could bide their time upon.
"She can't have gone far. That spirit will pay for her actions against the living," Bade assured, looking to Finn with her vibrant blue eyes before she turned in the air, wanting to make headway in her search for the Mismagius.
"Where to captain," Scarux spoke after watching the wyvern disappear into the clouds, and Finn looked down with his sharp green eyes, finding a spot of land in the moving clouds beneath them.
"By my mark, we should be just above the Kanto region and their southern ocean. There's a small port town at the south, quiet and discreet, we should be fine there to make land and find our heading," Finn returned, holding the dragon's neck then as he turned in the air, heading down towards the ground beneath them.
Landing on the ground on the outskirts of the small town now, Finn had taken care in releasing Archimedes and Pintel from their Pokeballs, perhaps in an attempt to see if they could make any advances on the witch and her energies. Pintel might not be so inclined or so capable even, but he like Archimedes were both part of the supernatural in the things they were capable of. The Greninja stood beside Finn, Pintel the Murkrow perched on the frog's shoulder, looking around the new area that they had found themselves in. Finn could understand his uncertainty, he himself wasn't sure exactly how to go about finding the witch or undoing what she had done to Vitus, but he hated that it seemed to be more of a waiting game. He had every faith in Bade of course, he knew the wyvern to be very capable of anything it was she needed to do, but he felt as though he should be doing more somehow for his long time partner, he just wasn't sure what that would be. He couldn't help but think back to those shadows consuming the Blastoise, how he had felt his body grow cold in that moment and he had almost entirely left the physical plane. He was making contact with those shadows, the dark forces the Mismagius was using to enact her powers, he had felt them with his own two hands then, or for the most part. Finn couldn't help but wonder if that made him just as much a part of that surreal plane of existence, the kind that Bade existed in, or where most ghost type Pokemon found solace, that maybe he should be able to be more intune with that part of the world because of what he was. He couldn't have been certain though, it could have very well been a one time experience given the circumstances and the rash action he had chosen, but it was still a thought he would have to stow away for now.
"So what are we doing here," Pintel muttered, glancing around with his red eyes and a less than amused expression, hardly able to say that this desolate spot of land was anything special.
"We're on a witch hunt. Bade made everyone aware," Scarux growled just a bit, never fond of the lack of care the crow took in keeping tabs on things and happenstances that took place.
"Yes, it's awful what's happened to our leader Vitus," Archimedes spoke then, having known the turtle for quite some time now and having been looking to him as a sort of commanding leader among their crew beside Finn and Bade.
"Is no one else going to take a shot at him while we can? Come on, that shell for brains is always shooting off his cannons, we could finally get him for something," Pintel urged, ever the instigator and hardly one to show any kind of remorse for things that were happening around them, at least not out right. He did feel bad for what happened to the Blastoise, he'd known him for even longer as a Wartortle all those years ago, but if there was one thing he knew, they wouldn't have to worry much about him. The turtle was tenacious and could make it out of the hardest, cruellest spots, and when Finn got involved, the two of them together were unstoppable.
"Don't you think that's in poor taste Pintel," Archimedes chided, knowing the bird to be less than heartfelt, but he could at least show some respect.
In his thoughts and wonderings, hoping to hear word from Bade on anything she might have been able to find, Finn had wandered a bit from his Pokemon, heading along a dirt path that would eventually lead to the southern coastline of the region. He was homed by the familiar sound of the ocean waves in the distance, the smell of the salt water wafting over the air, ever drawn to the sea and how familiar it was to him. OOC:Azzazell and his friends stretch as they get off the train and Nireta says with a happy little dance. "We're here we're finally here i cant wait to meet new friends." As she jumps up high and gives a high five to Azzazell. Azzazell smiles at her and says. "Yes we are and we're gonna meet lots of friends Nireta and we're gonna have lots of adventures." As he looks down at star and moon. They both smile and Star happily says. "Im really excited to maybe we can go off to celadon and saffron and go shopping?" As she nuzzles azzazells hand. Moon laughs softly. "Of course sis always wanting to go shopping such a girl." As he bonks her on the nose and he runs away from her. She glares playfully at him and says. "You jerk moon get back here like you want to do anything better?" As she chases her brother and Azzazell scoops up Nerita . Moon calls out to her. "Hahaha not really anything pressing sis i just want to have fun with you Azzazell and Nireta." As he stops to let star tackle him and Nireta jumps onto both of them and they all start laughing. Azzazell smiles at all of his pokemon and says. "You guys we just got here and already you guys are having so much fun I'm glad that so far everything is good." As he scratches all of his pokemon on their favorite spots. They all get up and shake themselves off and Star says. "We always have fun when we're all together, now where are we headed from here Azzazell?" As she looks up at him. He smiles and responds. "Well viridian city then viridian forest is next to actually get us to pewter but as for getting there i dunno ive never been here in kanto before so lets go for a walk we're bound to run into someone who knows where they're going." As he lets them start walking and he follows close to them. They walk for a little bit until someone just walking and he's wearing pirate fashion which to him looks really cool. Azzazell doesnt want to bug him cause he looks to be deep in thought but he thinks to himself maybe he needs someone to talk to, So he walks over to over to him andd says. "Um hi you look to be deep in thought and i'm sorry to bug you but do you happen to know the way out of this city, i um really like your clothes by the way they kinda remind me of a pirate." He felt as though he should be doing more in that moment, not just waiting for the witch to appear only for the possibility of another of his Pokemon being attacked to hang over his head, though what more he could be doing, he wasn't sure in the slightest. He was only now starting to understand and come to realize that there are things about himself, about his state of being, that are otherwise difficult to explain, but could be proven useful if he could just figure out how to handle himself. He remembered in Wattson's gym, how he was able to move through the netted traps that had tried to ensnare him, or how he was able to loft just over the ground over the pits that were there. He could phase through a strike that might be coming towards him, or even make contact with things that weren't on the physical plane, but it all seemed to be so unattainable, it only happened when he was least expecting it and least in control of his surroundings. If he could somehow come to control that part of himself, or really the lack thereof, would he be able to better fend against a threat like this witch? Sure, with a cutlass in each hand and a decade of his life dedicated to keeping his life he was a threat to be reckonned with, but when the fight became something like this, something much less physical, where could he stand?
He knew Bade was going to do what she could, the wyvern taking charge in the hunt for that witch, but he couldn't truly say that he was willing to just sit by and let her do all of the work. He could never expect such a thing from her to begin with, would never demand her aid or command her to do something. They were bonded for life and well into the next of course because of what she did for him, but that made her no less of a free spirit. If one day she chose to leave him and return to her life as the roaming reaper that she is, he would let her, he could ask nothing of her to stay or make any remark of her decision. On another note of it all though, she shouldn't have to take charge in any of this, for this was his crew and this happened under his watch. He should be responsible for what happened and doing what he could to remedy it, and couldn't ask anyone else to take responsibility. If he couldn't take care of his own crew and was expected to wait by while those whom follow him suffer, then he was no captain and could hardly consider himself as such.
There was a lot the pirate was having to consider in all of this, and even when his more fiery and reckless personality was telling him he should go charging into a fight, the more brooding and loathsome side reminded that there was no fight to be had if he didn't know where to find it. His mind racing in circles, he had hardly paid any attention to how far he had wandered from his own Pokemon, only listening really to the sound of the ocean in the very near distance as a sort of solace, but he also hadn't really seen the movement coming towards him or heard the sounds of Pokemon and conversation. The tall brunet was only going to keep moving, with little mind to do much else, but he was stopped as he heard only a few footsteps more before a voice came, and he realized he was being spoken to. His green eyes came up from his hard gaze, and he found himself looking at a younger male with dark hair and pale skin, and a small group of small Pokemon that gathered at his feet.
First came an apology of some kind that Finn had nearly missed with his lack of attention, and frankly he had half a mind to turn and walk away and leave this lad to his own devices, but then came a question of which way it was they needed to go. He wasn't heartless, as much as he might believe himself to be with his lack of physicality and the fractal scar that came over his heart that had stopped beating those months ago, but a simple question could bode for a simple answer, despite the scowl he tried to hide at the remark that came of him 'looking' like a pirate.
"Aye, not so savvy on your land legs are you lad," Finn breathed, his voice laiden with the anguish that consumed him then, but ever smooth and filled with the worldly accent he had attained through his travels.
"I'll save you the trouble of divulging in the fact that I am a pirate and send you on your way, eh? This is the south ocean, there beyond a set of islands, but I'd be damned if you're going out that way with a young lot like that," Finn spoke then, knowing that from the southern Kanto ocean it lead towards Cinnibar Island and the Seafoam islands, a set of ports he had visited in his travels, but at a glance down again to the male's Pokemon that he had with him, Finn thought he would be hard pressed to be heading that way. That small croc that he had looked to be just hatched, fresh blue scales without so much as a knick on them, not akin to someone like Vitus whom had traveled the world and then some with him. The two canine Pokemon too, the Umbreon and Espeon looked young and spritely, Finn had to gather that they were new to this traveling venture of theirs.
"You'll want to go north then, savvy? Through this town lies a city and the land routes that will take you beyond," Finn continued, turning from facing the ocean just down the ways to pointing exactly north, up a route that he knew would go through the small Pallet Town and well towards Viridian City. Finn knew this from the very first maps he had studied of the Kanto Region, having had every intention back then, over a decade ago, of traveling the region with Vitus before he had been snatched up by his captain. It seemed like so long ago that he had had such a different plan in life, but he still remembered the region well enough and each point to follow because of how intent he had been on his journey.
Off to the side, having since been left by their captain, Archimedes, Pintel, and Scarux had grown tired of standing idly by discussing the fate of their leader Vitus and Pintel's sheer lack of regard for the situation, and had since begun to move after Finn. Without any haste really, they didn't move quickly, but as Finn had now stopped in what was to be a short conversation, the few Pokemon had moved past a set of trees and found their captain faced with a young male of a human. Pintel remained on Archimedes' shoulder as the Greninja moved forward, glancing at the small group that had come to face Finn, but Pintel was amused with the small gaggle of young looking individuals, leering at them as Archimedes moved closer still.
"What do you want," the Murkrow squawked, his red eyes fixed on the male then as Archimedes only shook his head at the bird's incessant behavior. Scarux was the last to move forward from the trees, though paid no mind in any goings ons as he stayed off to the side once more, standing a head above Finn as he only looked at Archimedes.
"Just let him go, we know he's all talk. I bet that little water type could take him," the Salamence huffed, hardly ever able to really put up with Pintel's antics. The dragon lifted from the ground and within moments he was rising and the land of Pallet Town was disappearing, and they found Bade in the air, ready to move on to where she was tracking the ghost.
