Camphrier was quiet, peaceful, the open air and morning sky was so calming and relaxing, she was just happy to be out and about for the day and it showed in the soft smile that played on her features. Moving towards the main path that would lead her towards the Pokemon Center, there was a little bit of foot traffic that was moving through the small town much like Emiri could have expected, after all despite the race event that was going on, there were still people that lived in these areas like normal and were just traveling to travel.
”It doesn't feel like it was that long ago that we had been around here the first time for the race,” Salamence mentioned aloud as he looked around the area, remembering their first venture for this race around the world and coming through the Kalos Region.
”That was like three years ago, what are you going on about,” Lynno scoffed as he looked down from the branch he’d perched on.
”How are you liking seeing the world, Burst,” Nimbus asked, lofting around on his tail as he looked up to the strange creature that they had found themselves in company with. The colorful being certainly seemed to be at ease and was becoming involved with the things they were doing together as he flounced around lightly on his long legs. His focus seemed to be on one of the tall iron fire light lanterns that lined a small walkway they were beside, and his head tilted as he reached out a thin hand, and within a moment, much to his delight, a colorful flame sparked to life within the ornate glass of the lantern. The colors on his head changed and flashed vividly in enjoyment, as though he had just made some fantastic discovery, learning more about this strange world that he had found himself in.
Now just a bit of a ways away from her Pokemon, Emiri was coming up on the main path that would lead her to the Pokemon Center, and she was looking down thumbing through the pages of her booklet briefly to make sure that she had everything in order. She wasn’t privy to the strange sideways glances that a couple of the people and Pokemon walking by were giving her Pokemon, looking over her unassuming self all together. However, as she did near a small group of a man and a younger girl with bright blue hair, Emiri only looked up at the sound of hissing and a short snort of a roar that caught her attention. She stopped short of barely tripping over Cerian who had now rushed to be in front of her, the smaller black dragon putting her in between himself and Kovu who rushed up to catch him and caught Emiri’s hair and clothes in an updraft from his sudden movement. Kovu was distressed, but only just as Emiri oriented herself, making sure that everything was alright.
”I wanted to go too, I changed my mind,” Cerian commented as he looked up to Kovu from the other side of Emiri. Kovu hadn’t been prepared for the small dragon to just run off like that, and in his current protective state, he felt necessary to keep an eye on the young Replisol. It was hard enough for him to let Emiri and the baby out of sight, but the suddenness of Cerian’s rushing off caught him off guard.
”Kovu, it’s alright, it’s safe here. I don’t think anything is going to happen, you don’t have to worry so much,” Emiri tried to reason as she turned to face the black dragon towering over her with sharp eyes, and with their focus on Cerian now whom was trying his best to keep himself out of trouble now, they hadn’t noticed the baby had padded off just a little bit further away from them, sniffing lightly at the lumbering footsteps of a larger brown furred and armored Pokemon that was just in front of him on the pathway. Kintaro Satoshi Kintaro was not thrilled to see Emiri and some of her Pokemon approaching him. More so when he realized the cute, unassuming child was being accompanied by some of those monsters. Kovu, Cerian, and the little baby Chifaera all triggered memories in Kintaro, but he couldn't rightly place them all. Cerian's bell rang first. His eyes narrowed as he gazed at the Replisol. He had never been fully convinced of the existence of Replisol, but he had accepted some information as plausible. What was a girl like this doing with such a creature? He should have been more concerned with Kovu, who was acting aggressively, but it seemed as though the dragon were expressing concern over actively trying to engage with Kintaro and his company.
That all changed, almost immediately, when Emiri's little Chifaera approached and sniffed at Odyss. The big Chesnaught had stopped to observe. He was the biggest and the strongest so if anybody was going to start a fight, he would have to finish it. He didn't like his odds overall but when did his opinion on a situation ever matter? Odyss had hunkered down to greet the baby Pokemon with hopes of defusing the tension before it could bubble up. Attica ruined that quickly. Without a thought to who she was trying to protect, the Pawniard lunged in between Chifaera and Chesnaught. "Hey! That's close enough!" She snapped at the baby, prompting an angry growl from Odyss. She did not need to act like this EVERY SINGLE TIME there were females around the Boss! "No way! Ya gotta get closer!" Marshall chimed in, hustling over to the growing threat of Attica wanting to attack this little Chifaera for belonging to some random girl on the street. Now Marshall was trying to start a fight with it because...Odyss didn't wait to find out. "NOPE!" The Chesnaught bellowed, startling Kintaro from watching Emiri's Replisol to acknowledge the curious Chifaera. By the time the trainer had come to investigate, Attica was screeching death threats and jabbing Odyss' huge hands while he held her above his head. Marshall was likewise shouting in protest from under an equally large foot pinning him to the ground! "...Get Miss Lucali inside." Kintaro turned to Hanako and Ember just long enough to make sure the Gardevoir could at least read his lips if it was impossible to hear his voice carry across all the shouting. He stood patiently as if waiting for a lull in the chaos his Pokemon were creating among themselves before speaking. With Attica trying to hurt Odyss so she could do the same to Emiri and her Chifaera, Marshall also trying to hurt Odyss so he could get himself hurt by the first thing to come to Chifaera's defense, and Odyss trying not to hurt anybody even as he was getting jabbed repeated and bitten!
"What are you doing?" The aggressive shrieking of Attica came to an abrupt halt, as did Odyss struggling and shouting. Marshall tried to struggle a moment longer until he realized Kintaro was staring them down. Kintaro glanced at the baby Chifaera. "Return to your trainer. You." He paused, looking Odyss up and down who suddenly seemed very small for being the largest one in his group. "Put Attica down and get off of Marshall." Attica wanted to relish Odyss being told off but she knew better. Everyone was in trouble. Odyss was jsut the most immediate trouble to deal with. The male slowly turned toward Emiri with a carefully blank expression, though the flattened features of his face made him look more menacing than he normally intended. He didn't speak, waiting to find out what kind of trainer he was dealing with before offering any sort of apology...or some sort of threat. It really depended on Emiri and her Pokemon. Attica had brushed herself off after Odyss, in his panic to comply, dropped her on the ground. This did not seem to irk the Pawniard like one might expect. They made things more difficult for their Boss and they knew it. Odyss only hoped Kintaro could salvage this moment and not have it end in a battle. "You appear to have caught me at a disadvantage." He announced out loud, conceding that he didn't recognize some of the things Emiri had in her team. "Your Pokemon are...unusual. What are they?" Kintaro asked finally, remaining vague as he observed Emiri with a touch of curiosity. Replisol he was beginning to assure himself was one of them. Nightrial still escaped his thoughts--having dismissed their stories as myth--and Chifaera was just abnormal to him. The baby's kind was not unheard of, but Kintaro had struggled to accept their existence as well. Cyren Braithwaite 
Rhea ran on ahead of Cyren, pausing occasionally to meow back at him. She knew exactly where the Pokemon Center was! The Litten was going to be a good kitty and show him the way! Cyren was more than willing to pretend he couldn't see the roof of the Pokemon Center from where they had been. Rhea looked like she was having fun. Since they were going to a place where they were bound to run into a couple of trainers, Cyren decided to let the second Wimpod walk with them. If he was lucky somebody would take an interest in the Pokemon and it would be saved from Eve. In the couple of seconds it took him to let the second Wimpod out, Rhea had taken off. The kitty had spotted something that she recognized and she wanted to go say hi! "Cy~! Lookie~!" Rhea ran right up to Hanako and placed a paw against her leg. She meowed loudly and purred. "I know this person! It's the little tree! Isn't she cute?" Dead-eye had called her a tree but she didn't see it. Trees were tall like the guy with the flower. She let the girl pet her and rubbed her face against her hand in return. She didn't care what Llorona said. This girl was sweet. The Litten pouted when the tiny tree decided to stand and acknowledge her trainer. That was fair, she supposed. Cyren needed to be greeted too- falling tree! Not good! The kitten mewled loudly when the girl appeared to pass out as soon as she was on her feet. Was that normal? Were humans supposed to do that?
Cyren wasn't sure what he was expecting when he followed Rhea over to her new friend, but her passing out so suddenly was not it. He managed to grab the girl before she could hit the ground. He considered that to be a small win. The fact that Yami hadn't shredded his hoodie earlier became a second small will when he realized just how cold the poor girl was. He bundled her up as best he could before picking her up and offering her companion a helpless shrug. "I'm going to assume you have no issue with me taking her to- Is her name Hanako?" Rhea knew the flower and she matched the vague description he had gotten from Llorona. The clothing style looked about right anyway. Cyren glanced at his Litten for confirmation but she was too busy cuddling the egg to notice. Eggs needed to be kept warm so she was going to take care of it until its mommy picked it up! Cyren decided to leave it alone for now and took the girl into the Pokemon Center with him. Rhea and the Wimpod remained near the egg. If he was correct then he would need to thank Hanako and her "boy toy" for putting up with his younger sister.Partners: SorukaNyoki Elemental Paradisity rooker

Still yet Emiri hadn’t paid much mind to anyone that was on the path just ahead of her, she wasn’t much of a people person or even a people watcher, she very much chose to ignore most others around her in favor of keeping to herself. In her mind’s eye she was merely going to head to the Pokemon Center, get in and meet Nurse Joy for her stamp, and quietly head back out to meet her Pokemon to move back into the air. However, it seemed that was not going to be the case in the slightest as Emiri had only just managed to gain Kovu’s attention when all of a sudden Emiri heard the voice of a Pokemon that was within fairly close proximity, aggressive and quick tempered it sounded too. Emiri turned, panicked at the sudden onslaught of incredibly potent auras that started to radiate from the immediate area, only just being able to find the baby Chifaera chuffing with folded ears, wide eyes, curled tail and flattened wings at suddenly being threatened by a couple of Pokemon that were on the path. Her blood ran cold, she couldn’t even really define that the incredibly large lumbering figure was trying to stave off the very real threats to the baby, but behind her Kovu screeched, the ferocity of it rushing through Emiri’s hair. She didn’t want to fight anything off if they didn’t have to, there shouldn’t be any reason to insight battling and she really really didn’t want to cause any conflict…
At Kovu’s fierce screech that clearly meant he was out for blood, Emiri’s group of Pokemon off in the near distance was at immediate alert, knowing that while Kovu was a bit touchy in recent times, he didn’t call out like that for nothing. Charizard’s head shot up immediately, her tail flaring at just the mere notion that Emiri was in any kind of threat, looking out towards the path where she had headed off with the baby. She could see Emiri now only barely being able to keep Kovu from burning the vast area around them to a plasma laden crisp, putting herself between the dragon and the others that were on the path as he thrashed his tail and wings, but while trying to get Kovu to calm down only meant that the baby was being threatened by a small group of writhing, screaming and clearly aggressive Pokemon.
”What’s going on,” Salamence snarled, his fangs peeking beneath his twitching jowls.
”I hear a fight coming on,” Hantu snuffed, flexing his claws as he eyed the potential threats down the way.
”Stay here,” Charizard snapped, bidding Azuran to keep everyone in check as she rushed over, but not before Burst was at full alert and had already rushed off towards where the baby was being threatened. The colorful creature was just as endearing towards the baby as the rest of them and was hardly aware of Charizard’s authority at this point in time. While the dragon stood and rushed towards the growing commotion, she sneered at Burst rushing off towards the baby, but her focus was on Emiri and Kovu as she lunged forward and put herself in front of Kovu, flaring her wings and standing at her full height, her many scars and markings along her scales prominent in the bright mid morning sun.
Within just a couple of quick seconds though, at the sound of a stern, monotone voice, the screaming behind her had stopped and Emiri turned to find a girl with blue turquoise hair leaning down towards the baby Chifaera. Emiri had barely heard any of the other exclamations made, not about the girl recognizing that the baby was a Chifaera, not the man bidding someone to take someone inside, there were too many voices around her as she could hear her Pokemon in the distance too and the huffing and puffing from the group of aggressively quick to react Pokemon. It was almost dizzying, Emiri was overwhelmed in just about every facet, her breathing was quick and her eyes were wide. Kovu was still screeching, and Charizard was barely able to keep him at bay, the girl was trying to talk to the baby who was terrified at the sudden onslaught of potent emotions. Burst scooped up the baby though in his long, limber arms, she didn’t even know where Cerian was right then, a black cat had just come into the mix, and now the incredibly stern and actually menacing figure of the man that had spoken just briefly was looming over her, questioning her about her Pokemon.
At this point Emiri hadn’t even seen the other male figure approach them, or the turquoise haired girl faint for one reason or another, instead she was frozen in standing in front of the man who looked down at her with little expression to show. Burst moved to bring the baby to Kovu, knowing that that would at least help to calm the black dragon down, already showing an intuition for the Pokemon that he was now surrounded by. Kovu snuffed with sharp fangs, smoke streaming from his jowls as he eyed and glared at the Pokemon that had threatened the baby as Burst placed the Chifaera on his back. This gave Charizard the freedom and opportunity to turn and find Emiri intimidated by the human male that was now standing before them.
”Uh…. Uhm, I… Nightrial, Chifaera,” Emiri only barely managed to stammer out, entirely and completely overwhelmed by what had just happened, and now confused and thwarted by her social ineptitude. What else was she supposed to say? She couldn’t think of anything to say, she had only just barely heard the man’s question let alone knew how to react in this incredibly sudden and dizzying experience with everything that had happened in what felt like just a few seconds.
”What in Arceus’ name is wrong with you? It’s a baby, you could have killed him,” Charizard snarled with bared fangs as she eyed the three Pokemon that were just behind the man that stood in front of them, as she herself loomed behind Emiri’s small figure. Charizard wasn’t really having it though, she was ready to just leave this insane group behind and be on their way, they were clearly unstable and could snap again at any moment. Kovu was fuming, his eyes were sharp and his ears were flat against his head as he stalked and huffed with hunched shoulders and whipping tail, but he realized that he couldn’t see Cerian anywhere, the Replisol had likely run off in not wanting to get trampled or attacked. Kovu called out, beginning to sniff at the ground to catch his scent, needing to find the Replisol immediately.
Meanwhile, through all of this, Burst being left to his own, peculiar and strange, devices noticed the egg that had been left on the ground. His inherent behavior and understandings lead him to believe that it was something fragile, like the baby Chifaera, and it shouldn’t be left on the ground? His long, tall, and limber figure leaned down and gently scooped up the egg into his hands, cradling it in his long arms now as he tried to determine what he was supposed to do with the fragile object now. Llorona Braithwaite  If Atlas hadn't known any better, he'd swear that the blind Kabuto had actually given some pretty solid wisdom to the children. His word choices were a bit slow but the spirit was there- plus it disproved the feral theory he'd held just moments before. As a fully evolved Pokemon - Atlas could attest to just how much influence hard work really had on one's ability to overcome obstacles. Certainly, he had gotten much more powerful when he had evolved, but the fact of the matter remained that his entire foundation of martial arts, good tactics, and mindset to fight things that were almost always more frightening than himself had been developed when he was still just a Tyrogue. "Well stated." He offered very simply. The Hitmonchan would have probably clapped but always found the action to both look and sound silly when one wore boxing gloves literally all the time. His eyes shifted to the target Yami blasted with a frozen wave and he couldn't help but raise an eyebrow. One did not need to have any kind of vision to hit a wide sweeping attack like that. That was intelligence if nothing else. Atlas made a mental note to keep a close eye on the Kabuto from now on. He was smarter than Cyren made him sound when first warning the Hitmonchan - even if the Kabuto did clearly just hiss at him. Atlas didn't mind that. He'd once been blindfolded by his previous human mentor for an extended period to learn to fight using his other senses and truth be told, he'd been terrible at simply getting around without his eyes. Trying to imagine not being able to see all of the time would probably be more than a little unsettling. Llorona scratched her head a bit then let her eyes dart around awkwardly as if she wanted to say something... Which she did. She'd once seen a Charizard swim on television so she knew it could be done. Buuuut on the other hand she knew the point he was trying to make and bringing up the one-time event seemed like the type of thing a child would do just to be petty. Llorona was petty but didn't like the childish part so she bit her tongue instead. At the mention of trying to pick up the obviously savage Pokemon, she frowned - quickly pointing out a shop in the direction of the Pokemon center that sold, among other things, children's toys. If he was looking to transport the Kabuto without touching it, a red wagon parents used to cart their lazy children around on Halloween seemed like the perfect tool to do so. The woman watched Cyren carefully begin the process of scooping up Yami whilst holding her breath. Had there been someone else around to gamble with, she would have bet her last chunk of change that Yami was going to bite Cyren again. Thankfully she had been wrong - which shocked her even if it did cause the younger sibling to sigh in relief. "Have you ever considered like... I dunno, maybe getting his eyes checked?" She asked suddenly, the owl on her shoulder watching a bug flit around overhead in an almost comical manner. He had judged Rhea for chasing the lights but here he was about to try and take a swipe at some poor, unsuspecting fly. "I'm just saying, I feel like maybe if he could see the people and things around him he might be a little less...uh, the way he is now." It wasn't her usual level of forethought or zeal but Llorona liked to think she'd gotten the point across. There had to be Pokemon LASIK surgery right? Or perhaps some contact lenses? She pulled her phone out of her pocket to see if perhaps there was something back the way they'd come that might help the Kabuto NOT try to kill anyone who got close when Cyren brought up the suggested name for the wimpod. Slowly, she put her phone away and raised an eyebrow at her bigger brother before snorting. "Really? That name is a little dumb, don't you think?" It was at that exact moment that she felt both Atlas and Deadeye bore holes into her head, both Pokemon staring at her with what could only be described as 'really...?' written all over their faces. The woman pretended not to notice but flushed a bit all the same, knowing what Cyren had meant before he had even suggested 'earning' anything. She was simply shocked her brother knew the strategy she used to name her Pokemon. Maybe he had paid some attention to the stuff dad had always said back in his day after all. "Mister Wiggles it is." She mumbled, falling into step more than a few paces behind her big brother along with Atlas and the wimpod who, despite having calmed down some - was still clearly, and nervously watching the sky whilst skittering after her - as if expecting Arceus himself to descend and devour the poor creature at any moment. In the true spirit of anything related to this journey thus far - murphy's law kicked in in record time! Llorona immediately praised herself for putting the gap between herself and her brother when the Kabuto evolved into something she WANTED to say was the coolest thing she'd ever seen, but couldn't because it was apparently trying to take her brother's head off along with everything else in its immediate vicinity. "Uh - Congratulations!?" She shouted with her hands cupped together only after the kabutops rooted itself into the ground and became still without killing Cyren. A little sarcasm after a crisis averted seemed fair to her, but not being invited to follow along behind him was not. "H-hey! Don't leave me here again, I don't wanna be held responsible for that thing." Careful to give the rooted Yami a very wide berth, Llorona nodded at Atlas who stopped following and crossed his gloved arms. Who knew how strong a Kabutops could be, better to leave two bouncers at the door to make sure no one got beheaded for trying to examine a relic. After sparing a glance back to make sure her Hitmonchan was heeding the last bit of advice given to them all, Llorona jogged along in her strange garments to try and catch up with her brother. "I didn't think I'd see her again so soon~!" The cheerful chirps on her shoulder gave Llorona pause as she drew to a quick stop several long paces away from the Pokemon center. That chirp had been reserved for one person up until now and, after squinting - she saw Hanako being Hanako right outside the doors, boyfriend in tow. While the girl had been sweet to her and Llorona had begrudgingly accepted the fact that she didn't really hate the shorter woman, she was still in no rush to speak with her again so soon. It'd be weird. So she stood where she was, mimicking her Hitmonchan and crossing her arms even as Deadeye excitedly bobbed his head at the sight of his favorite not-trainer. When the not-trainer fell over in a classic 'i'm a frail girl, please send help' move straight out of an ancient movie, Llorona wanted to roll her eyes. Except she didn't. Because it didn't look like a stunt for the sake of getting attention. "Go say hi." The woman grumbled, her pride not allowing her to go see for herself. Deadeye would be a more welcome sight for Hanako if she was hurt anyway. The Rowlet wasted exactly one-second processing the instructions given to it before leaping from Llorona's shoulder and fluttering over to flap just above Cyren so that he could get a good look at the tree girl. Was she hurt? Why had she fallen? No one hit her right!? He chittered in a worried tone for several seconds before trying to get Cyren's attention for permission to land on him so that he could inspect his friend a little closer. Kintaro Satoshi Today was proving to be the opposite of a good day. Kintaro had even caught himself a Nincada with the vain prayer that this might be a sign of things going well for a change. He stared at his Pokemon who were all withering under his disapproving scowl. Marshall still wanted to take a swing at the Chifaera but he was under no delusions that he'd get away with it. Plus, he was only now realizing, fighting the Chifaera wouldn't be any fun. He had thought he was challenging a tiny Pokemon, not a baby. He couldn't show off how strong he was beating up on a baby. The Pancham didn't let that deter his mouth when challenged by Emiri's Charizard. He struck an intimidating posture--or, it would have been had he been anything other than adorable little Pancham--and bared his teeth in a menacing--see also, childish--grin. "Yeah, we could've! What're you gonna do about it, Grandma!" Hollered the tiny panda defiantly. Because of course he wanted his life swiftly and brutally ended by a Charizard. Odyss just slumped in place and groaned loudly. Why wasn't he allowed to hit Marshall? "I won't kill anybody as long as your bimbo keeps her distance from my boss!" "Attica!! SERIOUSLY!?" Odyss was exasperated and his demeanor illustrated to Emiri and her Pokemon that the biggest one was not the leader. In fact, he was barely coming into the fact that he was the biggest and the strongest among his group. The Unown had really messed with Odyss' perception of his size and strength and his maturity suffered as a result. Rather than telling his tiny companions off, he was pleading with them like they were somehow superior. Attica's authority made more sense as she was Kintaro's Pokemon before Odyss, not that these travelers knew any of that.
Odyss' stress reached its breaking point when Hanako got in the middle of it. Kintaro was opening his mouth to address Emiri further when the Chesnaught's voice rang out in panic. "Miss Lucali!?" Odyss was in trouble, and was going to be in even more trouble, but he refused to let Hanako black out without some assistance. The strange man catching her should have been a relief, but now he was dealing with a stranger holding onto the Boss' friend. With Attica and Marshall already working him up, this led to an even more distressed Chesnaught. Capping off being interrupted by Odyss, Kintaro was shoved back so the mighty Chesnaught could clear the couple of steps to the small girl. There would be no peace today. Huge arms moved to encircle the girl, but the strange man had her already. Pick him up? Those arms moved to do exactly that, then stopped. That wouldn't help anything! Odyss caught up with his racing thoughts only briefly, raising his head to fix Charizard with a stern yet pleading gaze. "Please do not kill them. They're stupid. I'm really sorry. I don't want to fight anyone." He stated as calmly as his cracking voice could manage. Charizard far outclassed him in every way and that was before factoring the type advantage. He could tell, Marshall obviously couldn't. Attica apparently refused to. "What!? Hey! Who are you calling stu--!" Attica was cut off as Kintaro stabilized himself and huffed. Odyss ignored him, moving around Cyren since he seemed to have the fainting flower under control. He instead acted as an entirely unnecessary guide to bring the young woman inside. "Bring her here, right over here, please." Odyss made up for his lack of human speech with clearer gestures and quick, crude sign language attempts he had not yet practiced with his new paws. Once Cyren brought the young woman with him the two--and Deadeye--disappeared into the Center to get Hanako some treatment and attempt to revive her.
"Attica. I believe your responsibility was to rein in the others." The tall, lean man had finally regained his composure. He was angry at Odyss but he also accepted that Odyss was acting under duress out of concern for Hanako. "Why is Odyss doing your job?" He asked aloud, letting the Pawniard stew in anxiety at the realization she had completely lost her temper. She tried to protest but Kintaro returned her to her ball as she spoke up. Marshall was still trying to size up to Charizard when he yelped in protest at being returned also. A deep, exasperated sigh, then three more balls were produced to release Mary the Luxray, Jade the Croagunk, and his new Kecleon whom he had not yet named. Jade glowered at her trainer but didn't attack for once. She was tolerating him better. Mary ran right up to her trainer's feet until she sensed the tension and quickly settled in beside him, trying to figure out which Pokemon she was supposed to be scowling at. Being Master's guard was hard. How did Attica do it? "My sincerest apologies, miss. Attica has a...habit." He did not have the time or the patience to explain his Pawniard's hatred for women. Jade settled in on her haunches, watching the new trainer and her Pokemon curiously. Her knees were bent and her hands hung down between her legs. Ready to leap into action but otherwise relaxed. Mary was still trying her best to look a little scary. She had a job to do, keeping her Master safe! "I admit I thought Chifaera was just a children's tale." He remarked thoughtfully, observing Emiri's baby until it was hidden away on Kovu's back. He was also aggressively ignoring Burst's presence. It was a ridiculous creature that could not possibly be a Pokemon of some sort. He was hallucinating. Or she had a Zoroark. Those were the only reasonable conclusions. His Kecleon was not so perplexed. She stared at Burst until the Ultra Beast gave her its attention...then slapped her tongue against the creature's ball-shaped head. She had no idea what she was doing, but she was doing it! Kintaro heaved another deep, heavy sigh. "I'll find an escort that won't cause a scene one day..." He muttered irritably to himself. Wait, where was the egg? The Blacephalon had the egg...The Blacephalon had the egg! "Place that on the ground. Slowly." Kintaro would learn not to order other another trainer's Pokemon around...but not now. Jade was the first of the pair to react, hopping over the Blacephalon and quickly gesturing for Emiri's Ultra Beast to give it to her. She volunteered for egg duty. "Be careful. The inside will break." Jade had no idea what Burst was and she used the plainest language she could muster to impress that she was afraid of what Burst might do with Hanako's egg. So much stress in way too little time! The tiny frog just hoped Burst was the cooperative sort. She did not want to start a fight with this strange woman right now. Even if her Pokemon did deserve to get hit for handling an egg that wasn't his. And, of course, the whiny woman from the labyrinth was here. Cyren decided to remain in the Pokemon Center instead of rejoining the others. There was way more going on outside than he wanted to deal with. Despite being just returned to his Pokeball to rest, Mars was let out again. The Lycanroc looked more than a little irritated but he waited patiently for his orders. "Stay with Llorona. If she wants to come inside, walk with her." He did not want his younger sister to be caught up in a battle between the other two trainers. Mars rolled his eyes but still exited the Pokemon Center. Everything that wasn't Llorona shaped was ignored by the orange Lycanroc. He stood beside the younger Braithwaite, nodding towards the Pokemon Center and tilting his head as if to ask if she wanted to go inside. "Are you going to stand outside and deal with this shit or...?" He nodded towards the group of Pokemon and their trainers. "I think this falls firmly under the 'not our problem' category." With this thought in mind, the Lyrcanroc left Llorona's side long enough to sneak past Burst and retrieve the Litten that was about to start explaining what an egg was. He picked the kitten up by her scruff and carried her back to Llorona, refusing to put her down even after they had rejoined the young woman. "You are not going to play with a bunch of questionable and hostile Pokemon. Every Pokemon you see isn't a friend, kitten." He scolded the Litten for socializing with what he thought was a group of dangerous Pokemon. "We don't have that same bullshit pride in being Braithwaite Pokemon as that mouthy fuck with the gloves but we have standards all the same. Interacting with creepy clowns and aggressive idiots isn't something we do."
The Litten's ears drooped and she pouted as she watched the other Pokemon. "But...you and Yami are aggressive." Rhea argued but didn't try to escape the Lyrcanroc's hold on her. That was different though. Mars at least didn't try to challenge a baby to a fight. Yami was Yami. Rhea sulked but agreed to not try to play with the other Pokemon. Mars decided not to give Llorona a chance to decide what she was doing. He nudged her leg and nodded towards the door to the Pokemon Center. They were going inside. "Follow...stay here...I don't care what you two do." This was directed to the two Wimpods following Llorona. The male was right to Llorona's feet but the female seemed perfectly content where she was. Llorona Braithwaite At first, Llorona had somehow not quite noticed whatever this clusterfuck in front of the Pokemon center really was. She'd seen Hanako, kept her bit of distance - and everything else had been background noise. Just, really, really annoying background noise. Of course, once Cyren had taken the fainting goat indoors the woman found herself rather forced to take in the rest of her surroundings. These surroundings included what Llorona really, really wanted to believe was Kintaro picking a fight with a stranger. "Well, they certainly know how to keep the blood flowing." She'd heard the expression 'you make me want to punch a baby' before but never seen it in literal practice. And for once, the girl found herself not really all that interested in the drama... Probably a side effect of that god awful 'party' from last night. "I just wanna go home." She muttered, turning her head to the left and finding Atlas missing, and then sweeping to the right to find her shoulder devoid of owl before slumping both shoulders and heaving a sigh. She really needed to stop talking to herself. Deadeye was patient and careful on Cyren's shoulders - careful not to throw the fit he desperately wanted to in the wake of seeing the poor girl fall so suddenly. He wasn't sure what had happened to her, he hadn't seen her take any damage. Perhaps a ghost pokemon had lulled her into a slumber?! He chittered nervously while they took Hanako away. "What happened to her?" He asked, staring at Odyss expectantly. He had seen this Pokemon at the party and knew it to be among the same party that traveled with Hanako, except he thought maybe this one belonged to the boy instead? It was hard to tell when so many pokemon had been tossed into the same area so chaotically. As the Rowlet's nerves grew he began to scuttle side to side on Cyren's shoulders without even realizing it. There was still something going on outside from what he could hear, and he had left Llorona out there by herself - Atlas wasn't even with her! Nervousness became panic and the tiny owl turned his head toward the front of the Pokemon center only to have it soothingly scratched by Cyren. Just because there was a lot going on did not mean one could not appreciate the little things in life. Plus Cyren had some really strong fingers. The tiny owl nodded under the temporary scratches whilst attempting to process which woman 'she' implied would actually be okay. After a moment he reasoned Cyren probably meant both of them. He wouldn't have Left Llorona outside if he didn't think she would be okay and clearly he had some confidence in the pokemon center staff who'd taken possession of the tree woman, Hanako. "I hope everyone is okay..." He chirped quietly when Mars was released. The Lycanroc was so strong looking he was glad that the thing was being sent to fetch Llorona. He just wished he was big enough to be the one people sent to protect others. Llorona was still standing in the same spot she'd been in when her brother disappeared into the center when his Lycanroc showed up and stood beside her, a small smirk spreading over her lips when the creature seemed to motion towards the center. It wasn't that Cyren had literally sent a dog to fetch her as if she were a stick - it was the absolute apathy with which the Lycanroc operated that really caught her eye. This wasn't the first time in her life she wished she spoke Pokemon but it was one of the rare opportunities where she could say it would have probably been pretty funny to hear the creature. He was clearly a sassy beast. "I might need to get me a Lycanroc too." She stated, watching Mars fetch Rhea with that same apathy. It was a strong quality for sure, one that reminded her of her father in the best way. It was less of a request and more of a 'So this is happening now'. Being so caught up in her own amusement over the way Mars was acting right now - she stumbled a bit when he nudged her. Not that he had full-on pushed the woman or anything, but she hadn't seen it coming and jumped instinctively. Another thing she really, really needed to stop doing. Uncrossing her arms, Llorona threw them up a bit in surrender. Where normally she would have been irritated being pushed around - she actually found herself liking Mars enough not to speak up about it. He reminded her of her father but also of someone else she just couldn't put her damned finger on. "Alright, alright - we're going." She made a face back at the Lycanroc only to see the two Wimpods kind of just hanging out. She was like ninety percent sure the one closest to her was the one Cyren had offered to her as a gift. Buuuut - she honestly couldn't tell the difference between them and the last thing she wanted was to lose the wrong Wimpod and have her brother notice. That was grounds for long-term guilt-tripping and while Cyren wasn't that type of person so far as she knew, there was absolutely no way she was going to let him get the ammunition anyway. After scooping up a wimpod under each arm and thanking the stars they didn't need to be carried that far - Llorona half walked, half waddled towards the Pokemon center. Maybe the plant girl would be out all day and they wouldn't have to see her! She stopped short with at least one Wimpod wriggling in her arms as a sudden thought struck her, beaming back at Kintaro who seemed to be, well, busy in a discussion? Either way, she couldn't resist a quick barb, taking an exaggerated breath and putting on her sweetest, most innocent look in an attempt to replicate Hanako. "Good luck Taro~ You can do the thing!" And with that she went through the doors, still not quite sure why exactly she'd done it, but feeling satisfied either way. Standing with the Machop and the still frozen in place Kabutops, Atlas remained casual and cool. Aside from giving a few humans that wandered a little close the warning look, there wasn't really much else to do until Mister and Miss Braithwaite returned. "Your new form must be frightening to you. For what it may be worth, you look very strong now." He mentioned eventually to Yami, if only for the sake of trying to calm him down with conversation. "When I evolved it was startling as well, and I didn't really have all that many changes to endure... Well, aside from learning to duck my head in smaller doorways." He chuckled calmly. Jokes were not Atlas's forte by any means but he felt something needed to be done to attempt to relax the rigid Kabutops. Plus it was completely true! When he had been small - he still had a head, torso, two arms, and two legs. Evolving hadn't changed anything but his height and weight. Yami was not so lucky. This creature had gone from clinging to the ground at less than a foot and a half tall to being easily Atlas's height, bipedal, and with two new appendages. That couldn't have been easy to deal with. After a few moments of contemplation, the Hitmonchan prepared to speak again only to have his face contort briefly, gloved hand flying up just in time to catch the sneeze that ensued. He wriggled what passed for a nose on a Hitmonchan and then excused himself politely. He did not normally sneeze... Someone somewhere must have spoken about him. 'All bad I hope.' Were it not for the lumbering Chesnaught that seemed to have the only sense about how ridiculously out of control its teammates were, Charizard had already been considering a torch and run on her part to put the other two Pokemon in their place. They could come back to Camphrier later. She was wising up in her growth and experience, though her tail did flare at the mouthy runt of a Pancham that decided to call her grandma? And while neither she or Emiri had any idea what a bimbo was… Charizard could only take the connotation as negative and was really itching to shut the both of them up herself. All the while, with Emiri’s head spinning at the onslaught of things happening so soon and so suddenly, the Chesnaught lumbered away with the turquoise haired girl and another human, and the other two extremely volatile and aggressive Pokemon were returned at the scowling disapproval from the older male that stood before them, and now three new Pokemon were out and about… For one reason or another. It wasn’t until things were at least settled, but still entirely too awkward and weird that the man apologized about only one of his Pokemon, though Emiri or Charizard couldn’t know which one really. All of his Pokemon seemed to ‘have a habit’ as Charizard eyed the Luxray that seemed fidgety at best and was side eying everyone, and the Croagunk too looked like it was just waiting for something to happen. Despite this though, Emiri in trying to reel herself back into reality and at least begin making an attempt to get out of this situation now looked up to the man again at his apology.
”Uhm… Thank you…? I think…,” she muttered after a moment, really unsure if he meant the apology or was just saying so to save face… It was hard to tell, he was so stern, and so stoic, even in her own connection to auras she couldn’t really feel anything strong from him, he was just… there.
”We don’t have to take anything from any of them, Emiri. We should just get ready to go,” Charizard glowered, turning for a moment to see if she could find Kovu who was still sniffing around begrudgingly looking for Cerian still. She sighed, knowing the young Replisol was both a bit impulsive and easily distracted, he could have run off anywhere and now they might have to go looking for him. Emiri though was still paying attention, as much attention as she could really, to the male and heard his remark about Chifaera. A children’s tale? So he thought they weren’t real? If she were being honest, she didn’t even know that the species as a whole existed at all until his egg hatched.
”He’s just a baby… I don’t know a lot about him yet, we lost his mother…,” Emiri answered back, without being able to think of much else to say since she had never even heard of these Children’s Tales that outlined a mystical existence of a Pokemon species.
In the meantime, off to the side, Burst was keeping to himself now that he had picked up the egg from the ground to keep it safe. He was gently cupping it in his white hands as he held out his long arms just a bit, and while he wasn’t sure on what he was going to do with the egg now that he had it, he knew at least it wasn’t on the ground, so it was a one step at a time kind of process of thinking. Charizard glanced over at the colorful creature, noticing that he was holding an egg now, and she knew indefinitely that that did not belong to them in the slightest, and she wasn’t about to have any argument that it should or did or why he was holding it or anything thereof, not with these lunatics. Charizard was getting ready to move forward to take the egg from his hands when the Kecleon that the male had released from its Pokeball made an audible smack of a sound as its tongue came into contact with Burst’s head. The sudden and unexpected sensation startled Burst, the shimmering colors on his head froze and his long arms curled around the egg in security, but the most shocking part of his reaction was the pap sound that his head made when it popped clean off of his shoulders and bounced and rolled a few feet like a dodgeball that had a bit of helium in it.
Standing there in complete and utter shock, Emiri and Charizard both could only stand there frozen and stare, their eyes shifting between Burst’s still and unmoving figure, and his head that had come to a stop and laid there on the ground. Emiri could only let out a small squeak of a sound, her blood cold and her eyes wide. Did he… was he… is he…? It seemed like time itself was standing still, like everything had slowed down, but it was only a second later before the colors started to shimmer again on his head off to the side when the Croagunk spoke about giving the egg back. As if nothing had happened, as if he wasn’t missing his head, Burst’s figure moved and uncoiled his thin arms from around the egg and actually did hand it down gently to the Croagunk, no questions asked. Emiri and Charizard could only watch in bewildered astonishment and shock then as his figure moved effortlessly, not a stumble or a show of pain, towards his head and gently picked it up from the ground now that his hands were free, and in a whimsical fluid motion he lifted an arm as the head rolled down to his shoulder and settled back on the ruffled cuff of his neck, completely unharmed it seemed. Kintaro Satoshi Today...was a day. He wasn't going to pretend anything positive, surely, but he wasn't sure he was quite dealing with anything negative save for his own team being a hot mess. Training was necessary. Mary, at least, was trying to figure her job out without being told. "You're only an observer, Mary. Calm down." His tone was the gentlest it had been so far with his Luxray who only ever wanted to make her trainer happy. Jade's decision to take the egg won the barest hint of a half-smile from the male. He had a social encounter to complete. He would present the toxic frog with proper praise later. The Luxray relaxed visibly after his assurance she wasn't supposed to be preparing for a fight. Her tail still switched as she looked over Pokemon she could recognize as female, the switching going to a more playful sway when she gazed upon male Pokemon. Her Rivalry was strong, just not aggressive.
Burst's head rolling off should have been jarring, Kecleon and Jade were both put off by the Ultra Beast apparently decapitating itself. The latter accepted the egg and quickly backed away. Kecleon's tongue remained on the ground briefly while she processed that she'd knocked off Blacephalon's head. Her tongue snapped back into her mouth. Jade cradled Hanako's egg protectively as if she expected Burst to try something else next. Kintaro took it all in stride. It was a very determined Zoroark, he would give it that. His deadpan stare scarcely faltered at the initial shock of a creature's head rolling free of its shoulders. Burst's display of rolling it right back into place won a slight sigh. Mary and Jade traded uneasy looks like they thought their trainer had lost his mind. How was something's head falling off normal to him!? He turned his gaze away from Burst, content to ignore the showboating creature regardless of what it really was. Something seeking attention was best ignored to show that it was not going to get any behaving in such a way. If Emiri was intimidated by the unfazed expression of the man, she at least got to see a more human aspect when Llorona decided to rib him with mock encouragement. A sharp twitch of the eye, the expression fell flatter than ever and he pointedly avoided looking toward Llorona lest he engage the bratty woman. It was a crime to assault a child. It was a crime to assault a child... At least he had Emiri's explanation about Chifaera to mull over. Composure regained once more, he cleared his throat as if the last few moments had been completely uneventful and awkwardly quiet. "I see. That is unfortunate. Fairy tale or no, nobody should have their family taken from them." He remarked, his thoughtful frown showing some empathy even if the object of it was not near him now.
Odyss fidgeted anxiously while trying to determine how best to serve Hanako's needs without actually being able to help her. He flailed random signs at Cyren when probed about the young woman's condition. He had no idea and the random gestures conveyed that better than if he could successfully sign out "I don't know!" to the strange man. Zinnia's appearance made the Chesnaught...slightly less of a neurotic mess. "Zinnia! Miss Lucali fainted again!" As if the Frogadier hadn't just seen for himself. "Is she gonna be OK? She doesn't normally just fall down like that." He knew better than to worry entirely about Hanako's health every second of the day. The poor Chesnaught was just so stressed out from trying to wrangle Attica and Marshall that her sudden fainting spell had tipped him over the edge into a blubbering mess of emotion and panic. Hana's fainting wasn't normal, but it was more frequent than he liked to admit. Kintaro wasn't typically fainting at least. Odyss needed to go back out before someone else tried to start a fight. He really didn't stand a chance against that girl's Charizard but he had to be there in case the bravado turned to battle. Anxious Chesnaught fidgeting resulted in the ground shaking slightly as he bounced from one large foot to the other. Furtive glances between the front door and the back room telegraphed his worry about leaving Hana alone, but also certainty that he was needed outside. Atlas's attempt at calming the Kabutops down had fallen on deaf ears. Aside from a small twitch when Atlas sneezed, Yami remained still. His empty red eyes took in what they could of their surroundings but he hadn't made enough sense of where he was to even consider trying to move his awkward new form. He made a low, aggressive hissing sound any time someone wandered a bit too close for his liking. The Machop was surprisingly calm about the whole ordeal. Even going so far as to lean up against the side of the Kabutop's unsettling blades. Had she not been there he might have tried to take a swing at the few things Atlas hadn't been able to convince to stay away. He was aggressive but he wasn't stupid enough to cut apart his own teammates. "Bless you." The Machop glanced at Atlas when he sneezed then shrugged. "When do you think they'll be back?" She hoped their trainers didn't take long. Nevermind that the man’s friend seemed to have fainted just a couple moments ago, and was taken away by the Chesnaught and another person that had come up towards them, it just seemed like now was the best time for her to scurry away… Emiri’s wide eyes and almost panicked expression shifted between the man and Burst whom had just lost his head moments ago, but much to the distraught disposition of both herself and Charizard, the colorful creature seemed completely unharmed and was back to aimlessly meandering, noticing Kovu trudging along with Cerian whom he had found hiding in a clutch of bushes not too far off. Charizard sighed, she was just about through with this whole situation, it was definitely time to go.
”Okay, this has definitely gone on long enough, I think it’s time we leave,” Charizard huffed, looking around to make sure the rest of her team hadn’t gone awol like the male’s Pokemon very well could have.
”Yeah… Uhm… We have to go now… We’re trying to race around the world,” Emiri chimed in after a moment, looking up to the man again. Burst heard her words and moved towards her at the mention of needing to go while Charizard took the lead among her Pokemon.
”Nimbus, here’s Emiri’s stamp book, go get the stamp from the center,” Charizard called out, gaining the Raichu’s attention. The psychic type moved over, floating along on his tail as Charizard held out the stamp book for him to take.
”Kovu, get Cerian and start leading everyone into the air. We’re going to head north from here,” she continued, starting to move towards her team with Burst following close behind now. Emiri looked up to the man who had asked for her contact information, he was interested in knowing that Chifaera and Nightrial were in fact real species of Pokemon, and while Emiri wasn’t necessarily thinking straight, she did give it to him absentmindedly before Charizard came back towards her. Nimbus had already entered into the Pokemon center and gained their stamp for Camphrier town from the Nurse Joy, so now they were all ready to go.
”Come on Emiri,” Charizard grumbled a bit, eyeing the male still before Emiri tentatively moved towards her. Charizard offered her saddle to Emiri as she leaned down to meet the small girl, the rest of her Pokemon having already started into the air above them.
”It… It was nice to meet you? Maybe… Uhm, I hope your friend feels better,” Emiri offered in a lost sort of tone, at least acknowledging that she did hope the other girl felt better after fainting just moments ago. Burst helped himself up into the air too, levitating and climbing as Charizard spread her wings, and with that Emiri removed her wide,g glossy gaze from the man as they left off from the ground, moving on for the race around the world. Kintaro Satoshi With Odyss gone temporarily things seemed to calm down considerably. Though Charizard remained largely unimpressed with absolutely everything about this man and his Pokemon, Emiri seemed somewhat interested. He couldn't help showing intrigue at the mention of racing around the world. "Oh? You're partaking in that event?" He frowned thoughtfully. "I had been considering it...but I think it's going to be too late." He pointed to his arm still in a sling (which I totally didn't forget about until now) and then gestured to the Pokemon Center. "By the time we recover, we are not likely to get very far." That was his own fault. He shouldn't have rushed the altar like he had. There was a touch of a genuine smile as he stepped back to let Nimbus by. Not that he needed to do so, but the gesture was still intended to be helpful. Jade took the hint and hobbled over to her trainer with the little Egg. Kecleon just continued to stare at Emiri's Ultra Beast. "If I may, miss, perhaps we could maintain contact. I have inquiries about your Pokemon, and I would be remiss to let their rarity be any excuse not to learn of them." The exchange was quick and simple, very much something Kintaro appreciated. He dipped his head to the girl's Charizard who appeared to be just as stressed as Odyss had been. "I apologize again for my Pawniard and Pancham. I should have expected Marshall to think he could fight you. Attica is...a unique case. She reacts negatively to females of any species." Only when Kintaro was around, but Kintaro wasn't around to know that fact. Mary and Jade exchanged a look, then imitated their trainer in lowering their heads. Jade less so given she was still caring for Hanako's Egg. Kintaro was glad his two Pokemon had followed suit. It was especially impressive for Jade who had shown she actively despised her trainer before. He had to backpedal quickly as Charizard lowered herself for Emiri to mount up with the others already taking off.
Kintaro shielded himself from the surge of dust and whipping winds before raising his arm in farewell rather than waving. Odyss came tumbling out a moment later shouting incoherently about coming back to make sure everyone was OK. The giant Chesnaught had to wave from his position on the ground as he had face planted in his impatience to get outside again. "She seems nice, Boss." Odyss mused aloud while Kintaro knelt down to claim the Egg from Jade. "Thank you, Jade. You were most helpful." He lowered his head in respect to the Croagunk who eyed him suspiciously even as she slowly mimicked his action. Her eyes never left his face. The poor thing had been exposed to enough bad humans to be afraid of Kintaro on principle. Kintaro only sighed, then gave the Croagunk another quick nod. "Let's go check on Ms. Lucali--Kecleon?" Kintaro had to stop and remind himself that he'd only just caught this creature this morning. He looked down to find she had wandered off. A moment of worry was squashed when the male watched the Pokemon Center doors open up, then shut again. When had she camouflaged? Why had she camouflaged? This couldn't end well.
Kecleon scaled the wall once she was inside and quietly crawled along the ceiling until she was hanging over the Braithwaite siblings. The Floette-eyed human was with the really skinny Mr. Mime. She stared at Llorona for a long time, trying to decide what kind of Pokemon this obnoxious human was. Chatot. Mouthy little animal. No feathers...maybe something else. Kecleon was no longer camouflaged when her tongue snapped out of her mouth and slapped Cyren on the cheek. At some point the Kecleon decided she was going to abduct him. With her tongue. And his several feet and hundred or so pounds on her. This would work out swimmingly! Kintaro came in to see his Kecleon attached to the stranger. His expression was flat again and he had to resist slapping his forehead since he was busy carrying the Egg. "I see you've met my latest acquisition. Kecleon. Get do--!" Kintaro was still in the middle of ordering Kecleon to come down when she just...obeyed. Soon the chameleon Pokemon went from sticking to Cyren from the ceiling to flopping in the tall man's lap. And also still stuck to him. She caught the stranger. He would give the flower back now. Llorona Braithwaite Ever relieved TO BE relieved of a heavy burden, or burden(s) in this case as it were - Llorona sighed as the much stronger of the two took the Wimpods from her hands. They probably weren't very heavy by Cyren standards... maybe thirty pounds each or so, but two of them for Llorona had been a bit of challenge - especially when one of them refused to sit still! After she'd taken the time to adjust her outfit, the woman peered around the Pokemon center, spotting several of Hanako's pets that she easily recognized after the ordeal in the maze. They were not happy campers, not that Llorona could really blame them for it. "Thanks, Cyren." She muttered as an afterthought, stretching her back out and nodding at the mention of whatever was going on outside of the pokemon center that she had immediately recognized as being none of her business. The woman couldn't resist a smirk at her own comment outside. In hindsight, it had been childish but that wasn't necessarily a bad thing - apparently, since it wasn't like she'd even know if Kintaro had even heard her. Still, it had been fun. At the mention of what she had to assume was Hanako, Llorona stared at Cyren a moment and raised her finger on instinct. "She's not my fri- Oh, oh wait. Fair enough." There was a strong possibility he had actually been sarcastic in the way he had phrased it, but nonetheless, her big brother hadn't been wrong. Her Not-friend was an accurate way to describe the plant woman.... even still though she was curious what had done the frail, thick and short girl in this time. So strong was the woman's curiosity that she actually took a few steps towards the back of the center to maybe take a quick peek and see what had become of the tree girl only to give herself pause at the counter and turn around. Whatever the reason for her initial turning had been was lost on her when she saw IT. There was absolutely no need for a Pokedex where the creature was concerned. Her father had read her stories of this particular creature before, among other luxurious and powerful beings - but Jirachi had been her favorite by far. After all, how many other Legendary Pokemon literally granted wishes?! As it spoke, her mouth hung open - realizing that it was communicating to CYREN of ALL PEOPLE. Her first immediate instinct was to try and capture it since surely it did not belong to Cyren Braithwaite. Then she noticed the way it looked after taking one slow step back towards the pair and stopped with a furrowed brow. Was Jirachi drunk? Was that possible? Or perhaps it was sick? The creature had a slightly flushed expression that simply could not be ignored, it was too cute! On one hand, she really wanted to get closer, maybe she could even capture it? On the other hand - they were psychic type and notoriously evasive creatures. One did not get their heart's desire so easily. "Uh....Um...." The moment the creature wrapped itself up as if to take a nap, she knew the conversation had ended and immediately began to flail her arms in a vain attempt to get Cyren to look at her, all thought of Hanako, the potential chaos outside, and even her own journey forgotten. There was only that creature sitting next to her brother and the potential for instantaneous gratification that it held. During his attempt at playing Traffic cop, Atlas had grown rather bored. The weather was nice, this city was much prettier than the inside of his Pokeball, and despite the weakness, he knew he'd be feeling for at least another few weeks as a result of his extended stay inside of the capsule - Atlas felt fairly good physically. None of this really stopped the ache the Hitmonchan had felt since the day he could first stand, however. The ache for battle, to train and grow strong. He had wasted too much time resting, even if it had been against his will. He needed to fight and stretch and become half the mon he used to be before he'd feel anything close to normal again. When the Machop acknowledged his inadvertent bodily function, Atlas nodded respectfully but didn't respond, not immediately anyway. Instead, the Hitmonchan began to kick a literal rock around out of boredom. "Knowing Miss Braithwaite...?" He trailed off, knowing that Llorona had two speeds - fast as a lightning bolt, or slow as an iceberg with no in-between, which alternated depending on what designer human thing they happened to be shopping for. Since either phrasing would have come off as an insult, The hitmonchan coughed politely into his hand instead of finishing his previous statement and shrugged, opting instead for something a little more polite. "Master Braithwaite is a functional young man, as his Pokemon, you must be aware of this. I'd like to safely assume he would not leave poor Yami here even a second longer than he needs to be." Of course this omitted Llorona potentially slowing him down, and the fact that getting a ball repaired as opposed to replaced could be a task in and of itself. Elfana Aroway Camphrier Town should have been one of those straight to the point stops in her journey around the world. Instead she found herself staring at the most unusual obstacle in the middle of the road. The malnourished Hitmonchan was deeply concerning in himself but the Kabutops was the more immediate- and solvable- problem. She ignored any attempts to redirect her but stayed just out of slashing distance. Across the street wasn't exactly the ideal location for examining the Kabutops. Once again she found herself missing her lab. Something was clearly wrong with the Pokemon's eyes but she couldn't put a name to the condition without a more thorough examination. "I'm assuming your ears work fine." She waved her Scyther over, never taking her eyes off of the Kabutops. When he didn't immediately respond she sighed and glanced over at him. "This isn't up for debate, Alastor." The Scyther hissed in protest but eventually approached his trainer. "Tap a blade against the ground." He stared at her for several seconds before doing as he was asked. The noise seemed to get the angry Kabutops' attention. He attempted to turn himself in the direction of the sound. "Again." He rolled his eyes but tapped again. This time the Pokemon tried to mimic the gesture. "Whenever you aren't sure of your surroundings, examine the area with your blades. They can tell you a lot." Elfana took one of Alastor's blades and extended it in front of him, just enough where it could bump into an obstacle before he could run into it. She considered trying to do the same with the Kabutops but thought the better of it. He was far too hostile for her to risk touching. The Machop, on the other hand, was leaned up against his arms. "Machop, position one of his arms like my Scyther's." Elfana was getting really tired of Pokemon staring at her like she had grown a second head when she gave a basic command. The Machop was staring at her the same way her Scyther had. To her credit, she responded a lot sooner. Once the Kabutops was in the proper position, she gestured in the direction of the Pokemon Center so the other two had a general idea of her plan. "Let's try moving now. Keep your blades out in front of you. They'll keep you from running into anything."
She expected the Kabutops to remain where it was. He seemed very against the idea of doing anything other than standing there. She had given him enough to work with so anything from then on out wasn't her problem either way. The aggressive Pokemon hesitated but began to follow when it noticed the way her heels clicked against the street. That gave him something to follow. Elfana kept to a slow pace so he could keep up but made sure her Pokemon gave him a wide berth. When they were outside of the Pokemon Center, she stopped and turned to the Machop with the Kabutops. She had remained right at his side the entire walk. "I'm going to assume you can handle him from here?" She waited for confirmation before going inside. Camphrier's Pokemon Center was particularly crowded. The Vulpix on her shoulders raised his head, examining the noisy lobby before sighing. "Agreed." Elfana muttered before heading towards the counter...which was being blocked by a young woman performing what she could only assume was some form of interpretive dance. Of course. She approached the girl, catching one of her wrists to stop the flailing. With her free hand she waved towards the rest of the lobby. "There are plenty of other places you can stand without being an obstruction." She released her wrist and gently nudged her aside so she could reach the counter. As soon as she collected her stamp she turned and left the Pokemon Center. She wanted none of what whatever was going on in there.Kalos

Venus wasn't sure whether she was more concerned about the fact that a stranger had managed to get Yami to cooperate with her or the strange feeling in her head that only seemed to get worse the closer they got to the Pokemon Center. She stopped before it could get too bad and grabbed one of Atlas's gloves to stop him too. "Something's wrong." She wasn't sure what yet but Yami was clearly feeling the effects too. The Kabutops had managed to find his way to the Pokemon Center just fine until he was right outside. Then he started stumbling. Soon after he fell flat. That could have been dismissed as his vision problems making him tripped had it not been for the laughter that followed when he tried to get back to his feet. At least she thought it was laughter anyway. The hissing sound was truly bizarre. The Machop swayed a bit before falling on to her rear. Staying on the ground was probably for the best until her head decided to stop spinning.Partners: SorukaNyoki rooker

Llorona Braithwaite She just couldn't wrap her head around it. It was like seeing a pitcher at a baseball game chucking a football at the batter. It was like going to a fast-food restaurant and seeing tastefully done paintings adorning the walls! It was like - 'it was like trying to think of a good metaphor when a legendary Pokemon just pops into the pokemon center of its own accord and starts striking up a conversation with your brother.' THAT. That last one nailed it perfectly. Llorona was about to make her move, though what that move entailed beyond literally getting closer to Jirachi, was anyone's guess - when she found her wrist caught up by someone else. She glanced at the woman briefly, just long enough to notice she had some of the most beautiful hair before the apathetic grandmother scolded her! "Excuse me?" She asked sarcastically, only to find the rest of a retort was dead on her tongue. Damned Jirachi was occupying all of her current focus to the point where she couldn't even make the jokes that should have flowed forth so naturally! By the time one came, the woman was gone, and Llorona felt just a little lesser because of it. "Meh..." She grumbled a bit, moving away from the counter but telling herself it was NOT because she felt she was an obstruction! "Huh? You really think so?" The response to her brother came without conscious thought and she reddened a moment after she'd already spoken only to let her mouth hang open just a bit as she stared at him. That wasn't very Cyren-like at all. Nor was the next thing that her brother did... Or the next. "Are you okay?" The woman in the frumpy clothing asked, not sure if Cyren had even heard her considering he was still very awkwardly conversing with Kintaro but walking towards her brother anyway while still taking more than a few glances at the potentially sleeping Jirachi that everybody else seemed to just be super cool with having around. Once she'd gotten close enough, the girl placed a hand onto his shoulder and took a good, long look at Cyren as he spewed forth nonsense the likes of which was unmistakable. Her brother was absolutely toasted right now. "If by finding things you mean finding some water and a chair then yes, yes we need to find the things. Wait, what did you take? When? I was gone for like five minutes Cyren!" Of course it didn't dawn on her that the Jirachi could have something to do with it, she hadn't seen the little Pokemon carrying around a flask to share. Thus, while it was entirely out of character to picture her brother chugging a bottle of something fierce so early in the day, if ever for him - there was no other logical conclusion to this situation for her. "Come on big guy, let's go find the thing." Llorona offered in an unusually comforting and sympathetic tone. The woman could not relate to many things, but being drunk and uncomfortable was certainly on the small list. Atlas was grateful for the stern woman who seemed to show up and guide the Kabutops when no one else could. He'd caught her immediately as she approached on her way to what eventually became the Pokemon center- was hard to miss a human in those heels and with that hair. But mostly it was her expression that really stuck. She looked very serious, and while he did his best to keep her at a distance at first - that ultimately proved to be a useless endeavor since she never actually tried to break Yami's personal bubble anyway. One moment they were teaching Yami to walk, the next they were on their way, strange how easy she ended up making it look. Perhaps she'd had some experience with blinded Pokemon before? "She's very good." He commented to Venus as they drew closer to the center, only to find himself stopped by the smaller fighting Pokemon. "Danger?" He asked, instantly taking the word of the other fighting Pokemon as good gut instinct... Then both Yami and Venus both began to act irrationally, though it was certainly more disconcerting to see the Kabutops fall and laugh than to see the Machop do nearly the same. "Are you sick?" He asked suddenly, crouching in front of Venus and taking a look at her. The Machop was quickly beginning to look a lot like some of the humans he'd seen at parties in the mansion... which should have been impossible. One glance to the fallen Kabutops all but put the theory of carrying Venus inside to bed however since he was absolutely not about to try and guide that thing anywhere - even if it did seem to suddenly be in the best mood of its life. Kintaro Satoshi Today could have been weirder. That bothered Kintaro more than it should. This wasn't the craziest stuff he'd had to deal with in recent memory and it should have been. Moments flew by quickly and the man was now holding a Wimpod along with Hanako's egg. Kecleon remained attached to Cyren's face, staring between the two men as if she were trying to decide something.Wimpod remained still as if she expected something terrible to happen the moment she moved. Kintaro looked down at Wimpod, then looked up to Cyren. He pointed at the machine near the PC. "This requires an official exchange of ownership. Kecleon appears to have grown...attached..." He hated himself for that pun. Why did he say it? At least this man seemed entirely too distracted to appreciate how idiotic Kintaro had just been. He apparently needed to find something, but surely that could wait until after the trade. "We need to return them to their Pokeballs for the registration to be transferred." He wished at this moment they could just swap the balls and be done with it. That interfered with the coding so far as he understood it. At least Cyren got where they needed to go...eventually. If Kintaro had been a lesser man there would be photos of the young Braithwaite to show to the rest of the world at some point. There were not, and he was more than willing to leave it that way. Especially for this Wimpod he'd been--in essence--gifted by the strange and awkward man. The Pokemon agent looked down at the thing nestling into his chest for comfort. What was it with small, pathetic things clinging to him for safety?
Once the trade was complete, Kintaro made his way to the counter of the Pokemon Center as he carried Hanako's egg for her. Wimpod was released as soon as she was claimed from the trade. The Bug Pokemon was perched on his back near his right shoulder, clinging to his clothing and staring coyly over the top at Nurse Joy. Kintaro gave the necessary information to learn a little more about Hanako's condition. Not great, considering what had happened, but better than he could have expected. All he had to do was be patient and let the professionals do their jobs. He might have received a less curt reply if this wasn't normal behavior. Odyss just watched everything unfold without anything to actually say. He saw Jirachi! That was...a thing. That happened. Why was the Wish Maker drunk? Kintaro's Chesnaught had so many things to understand in life. Cyren Braithwaite
Cyren stumbled out of the Pokemon Center with Rhea nearly tripping over her own paws behind him. The poor Litten wouldn't be able to keep up long if someone didn't pick her up. Venus was clinging to Atlas and stubbornly trying to pull herself to her feet. Why was her everything not working correctly?! "Rhea. Can you pick up Rhea?" She muttered when she saw the Litten. Alas, Atlas's arms were filled a few seconds later when Cyren shoved the Wish Maker into them. He briefly wondered if the disease would spread to Atlas as well...probably too late to be thinking about that now! "Hold that. It needs to fix whatever it did to me." With that, Cyren began awkwardly trying to navigate the streets. He didn't bother looking to see if anyone was following him. If he had he would have noticed Rhea knock over a nearby flowerpot. Hanako Lucali
While Hanako was out of commission, Vervain had taken over her team. He had gotten her Pokemon taken care of by the nurse and had convinced Ember to navigate the PC for him long enough to store Sage. Hanako would be safer without the aggressive Pikachu. They could worry about explaining his sudden disappearance to her later. Zinnia spent his time staring at the spot Jirachi had been in, trying to process what he had just seen. Was that how the Wish Maker was supposed to behave? "Wouldn't that make him bad at his job?" He asked nobody in particular. Legendary Pokemon were a mystery. He would never understand them.

Llorona wasn't quite sure what was happening anymore, not that she'd ever been one hundred percent aware of what was going on to really begin with. Everything was just... stupid. Literally everything. Cyren, his Pokémon, even that know it all Kintaro - they all seemed to be acting stupid in their own ways. She had to watch the trade between the two boys with her head slowly tilted down and her hand mostly shielding her eyes. It was awkward to say the least. And while her brother might not have heard the cringy joke the other male had made, Llorona certainly had and was all the lesser for having experienced it. And then there was her brother in general who, by the looks of him, had just taken a much too long sip from the metaphorical 'kool-aid' as it were. She hadn't been joking before, it'd been no more than five minutes that they were apart so WHY did he look absolutely blitzed? The black and blue haired woman did her best to ignore yet another comment about the rude old prude whom, despite her attitude and age, was seriously sexy in that outfit. The concern that he might have been drugged by someone else actually managed to help the woman forget both the redhead and the fact that Jirachi was in the room for a few precious moments, only to be reminded of the legendary Pokemon when Cyren decided to give it to Atlas! She narrowed her eyes at the fighting Pokemon, half jealous, and half angry that he got to hold the wish maker over herself - but couldn't keep the angered look on her face with Cyren looking absolutely covered in Pokemon and rammed into a wall before stumbling outside. She needed to pick a poison. Either focus on the Jirachi or focus on her brother. Llorona heaved a sigh, Deadeye returning to her shoulder and giving the woman a knowing, sympathetic pat on the back of her head with his wing as her decision was made. She could try to coax a wish from the sleeping legendary Pokémon after her brother walked off this insanity. "Wait for me!" She called, jogging out and falling into step beside Cyren in his chosen direction. "Sooo..." She trailed off, not entire sure what the right thing to say here was. On context, it seemed like Cyren was blaming Jirachi for his current state.... aaaaand apparently it was a state shared by every single one of his Pokemon. Llorona took a rather dramatic step sideways to put a bit more space between herself and her brother. She wanted to keep an eye on him but if this was contagious it was the last thing she wanted. Alcohol didn't sit well in her stomach now that she'd had a little too much in her high school party days. Which wasn't to say that she never partook in it, but it was a much less common practice for her after the nights of vomit and shame. She frowned when Cyren asked her to pick up Rhea, but looked back at the poor litten anyway and felt that frown deepen at the sight of the small feline. She was definitely going to get lost if someone didn't scoop her up. "So much for social distancing." She muttered, falling back just a touch and picking up the fumbling kitten. She held Rhea with both arms and tried to let the little one rest at chest level, looking down every few seconds in fear that with the way everyone was acting, one of them was bound to throw up eventually. "Cyren? Maybe if you tell me what the thing is, I can help you find it faster?" She offered in what she hoped was a helpful tone even if she knew that more than a bit of irritation showed through in it.
"Well this is nice." Atlas stated cheerfully to no one in particular, holding the sleeping Jirachi with the practiced ease of a mother on her fourth child or more. He rocked the sleeping Pokemon while walking behind the rest of the group. He'd heard of Jirachi - every greedy, self absorbed human being who already had too much but wanted just a little more, knew of the wish granting power of this creature. He wasn't sure how or when Cyren had come to apparently OWN such a Pokemon - but based on the look Miss Llorona had given him in the Pokemon center, he was most pleased that it was Cyren and not his master, who currently held possession over the thing. His loyalty to Lady Braithwaite was absolute but that didn't mean he was stupid. She was still much too young for such a power but Cyren.... "Well..." He trailed off after looking at the awkwardly stumbling man and realizing Perhaps Cyren had made a wish already. If he had, The Hitmonchan was most certainly going to have to take back his thoughts on just how responsible and pure the man really was. Then again, he doubted this was Cyren's doing and so he continued to reserve judgement and simply followed behind the humans to wherever it was that they were supposed to be heading. Today was going to be strange indeed.

Kintaro Satoshi Today was a day where things happened and existed. He was ready for today to stop existing now. Except for Emiri. The conditions weren't ideal but the girl was certainly interesting. He would like to remember interacting with the young trainer. Maybe after he finally trained the aggression out of Attica toward women. He did not appreciate the behavior of his Pawniard. Hanako's call couldn't be answered. Even if Joy was already busy working on something for Hanako, her Chansey was already there waiting for the man to try and cross the threshold. He still contemplated trying to take on the caregiver Pokemon. Nothing bad could possibly come of that. He had his Wimpod, Cyren now had a Kecleon with exactly one brain cell....Maybe he should try not to think too much while also plotting to defy policy and visit his sick companion. Chansey's Pound was super effective on his brittle bones! The male grumbled as he was physically shoved from the Center and told not to come back inside without permission in no uncertain sign language. His mistake for letting Chansey realize he could sign to her. Of course they learned it.

As Kintaro parted ways with his new friends and was left alone with his unlikely friendship with the female nearby him. It would seem that these two attract adventure and danger as the sky above them began to darken. There were no storms, just dark clouds as the winds all stopped and all signs of life around them silenced. The ground beneath Kintaro's feet began to rumble which led to a loud cracking sound. The earth split open as a large serpent like body burst from the cracks, blasting Kintaro and anyone around him with wind from its quick movements, surrounding the area will smell of smoke and... death. Once the serpent settled in the air above the male, Kintaro can realize that this is Giratina itself. The Legendary looked down at Kintaro seemingly ignoring anyone else in the area. "Hello Kintaro Satoshi." his deep voice boomed in the area. The legendary didn't seem aggressive by any means as he eyed over the male he had come to visit. "I would like to request your assistance. You will be rewarded." He spoke to the male, giving him the option to take the offer or not. The legendary shifted in the air as he continued, not giving Kintaro time if he were going to deny his request. "I cannot operate outside of my realm, and four of my souls have escaped. I need you to find them and return them for me." The Giratina told him. It was clear that he had no power outside the reverse world and was asking the male for his help. "My souls have long since passed, and do not belong in this world any longer. They are confused and lost, and will cause chaos and harm the longer they are here." Giratina explained the dangers that they could be. "They won't know who or what they are until they're subdued, so it'll be dangerous. But please hurry before they cause anymore damage." The Giratina advised urgently. Despite being the villainous Giratina, his statements appeared to be genuine in his need for help.
Kintaro scowled up at the Legendary Ghost Dragon, slowly rising from his position on the ground caused by Giratina's overzealous entrance. He was alone as Odyss had decided to stay where Chansey or Joy could summon him if Hanako needed help. Jade had to be stowed as she was torn between fighting Chansey for Kintaro or jabbing her trainer for trying to bully his way into the back room. The back room he was told repeatedly not to enter! Mary had tried to Spark Chansey, so that got her stowed as well. Leaving only Odyss out and fidgeting while Vervain took over and Zinnia was dumbstruck by the situation with Jirachi still. Kintaro wasn't sure what he wanted to say to Giratina, but the lost souls had sparked his intrigue. "A reward is an interesting proposition. Why not just give this to one of your followers?" Kintaro was leaning toward taking this job--probably against his better judgment--but he still had to wonder...why him? There had to be dozens, thousands of trainer far more qualified for this engagement. He didn't believe himself incompetent by any stretch but nor did he delude himself with the idea that he was going to rampage around the area and save the world. Then again, he had also faced death twice in the past two years, not even counting the event that left him hobbled for the rest of his life. There were definitely better trainers. "If this is truly what you believe, then I have no choice but to lead by example." If the Legendary had any idea who Kintaro was it would make sense that he was referring to how he helped Pokemon discover their purpose in life no matter how unusual it may be. He felt like Giratina was making a poor choice but he was willing to trust the Legendary Pokemon and his judgment. How else would he prove to Jade and Mary that they were capable of more than their species made one assume? "I will return these spirits to your custody. Where they belong." He added, nodding slowly as he considered the situation. He had a group of grossly mismatched Pokemon to pair with his own poor judgment. What could possibly go wrong?
