Matthew looks at the Zorua, still a bit surprised that he can talk. He then hears from Bravur that Copper has never been able to keep friends around before and that he shouldn't count on being the first. "You know, for a Zorua, I kind of expected you to at least smile a bit at the compliment that I gave you earlier." he then says, a bit confused. Chimchar then hops down from his shoulder and goes over to Bravur, basically telling him to open up a bit to their presence and that they're basically going to be travelling with Copper for a good duration of time. "Chimchar, you don't have to try to..." Matthew then starts to say as he hears the sound of a Drifloom approaching. Chimchar hears the cry of the Drifloom as well and turns with Matthew to see the strange figure. "Drifloom?" the Drifloom then asks, wanting to know what the two's names are. Matthew, upon seeing the Drifloom, jumps back a bit and pulls out his Pokedex to get some information on this Pokemon. "Drifloon, the Balloon Pokemon. This Pokemon, known a bit for its love of damp and humid seasons, is also said to have been formed by the spirits of humans and Pokemon that have passed away a long time ago."Hearing this journal entry, Matthew is taken ashock a bit. "Whoa... A Pokemon formed by the spirits of those departed?" he thinks to himself as he shakes his head a bit, this seeming too strange to be true. The Drifloon then goes up to Matthew, a confused look on its face and wondering what is wrong. Once Matthew sees the Drifloon coming, he looks at it and says to it, "You seem to have a pretty strange fascination for me, huh?"

Bravur liked praise, but he wasn't going to turn into Calla and become all sunshine and rainbows just because someone told him he did a good job.
"What's that supposed to mean, huh? You didn't even know I could talk, how do you know I'm supposed to be all sunshine and rainbows because you gave me a gold star," the young Zorua retorted, looking then to the small fire type that came towards him on the ground, going on about opening up and accepting that they were traveling together.
"Hey, I'm just telling you the truth, okay pal? If you want to live in some happy world, then that's all you," the Zorua returned to the Chimchar, raising his head and turning away from the fire type.
"Bravur, that's enough, just drop it, go find something else to rough up why don't you," Copper chided, having had enough of the Zorua's attitude as he looked down to the fox.
"You know what, I think I will," Bravur returned shortly, turning to pad off around the square and grass, though Cassio would always keep a close eye on Bravur as the fox went off to look for another battle or something or other to occupy himself, finding a battle with a small bird then that he took to challenge.. Copper was getting ready to apologize again for Bravur's behavior for the upteenth time though when Copper felt Cassio go stiff beside him, and he could feel the static in the air around him as the dog tensed up. Copper was wondering what could have raised his attention like that, when there was a small noise that came from the air around them, and Copper was only able to catch the shape of a balloon floating in the air, though it wasn't attached to anything at all.
"What the hell is that," Copper asked, unable to see any features on the balloon to know that it was in fact a Pokemon, but Cassio was on the defensive now since the last time they had encountered any ghost Pokemon, it had resulted in almost losing their lives. Matthew seemed unphased though, and stood back to pull out a device from his pocket, and Copper really had to wonder what for until the device started speaking, referring to the balloon as a Pokemon, a Drifloon.
"That's a Pokemon," Copper remarked, unable to fathom that just the simple shape of a balloon floating in front of him was a Pokemon, but it sounded like a ghost Pokemon at that as Matthew went on about how it was supposed to be made up of souls.
"And it's a ghost, of course it is," Copper seethed, having a very clear hatred and disdain for any ghost type Pokemon because of what they'd done to him.
"We'll get rid of it, I don't like ghosts either so watch out," Copper said then, stepping aside for Cassio to move forward after having heard Matthew's hesitant remark on it being made up of souls and watched as it moved closer to Matthew. He could only imagine what intentions the ghost had, wanting to take their lives and leave their cold bodies there in the middle of the city, and Copper wasn't going to have it as Cassio's fur began to spark and the needles in his fur became more prominent as he dog growled with bared fangs. Chimchar then gets in a battle-ready stance, getting ready to protect Matthew just in case the Drifloon would try anything funny. "Chimchar Chim..." he mutters to himself, looking at the Drifloon and daring it to make a move on Matthew. Meanwhile, the Drifloon puts a hand behind its back, seeming to pull out something. "Hmmmm... What could this Drifloon possibly be doing?" Matthew wonders, seeing the Drifloon do this. His eyes then catch sight of some sort of shiny object that the Drifloon is pulling out.
Chimchar also takes notice as he and Matthew see the Drifloon pulling out a Fire Stone. How this Drifloon managed to find an object like this, Matthew couldn't quite understand. "Huh? Is... Is that a Fire Stone?" he asks, unsure what to think at the moment. Drifloon nods and offers a gentle, "Floon..." as it then presents the Fire Stone to Matthew. "Huh? Is that for me?" Matthew then asks as he places a hand on it and looks at the Drifloon. No reply, but it is obvious that the Drifloon wants him to take it. He then smiles a bit as he looks back down at the Fire Stone and takes it. "Thanks." he then says as he places the Fire Stone in his backpack.
Drifloon then smiles before seeing Matthew's backpack. In it, it sees an empty Pokeball and decides to get close to it. "Huh? Hey hey... What's the deal?" Matthew asks as he sees the Drifloon coming close to his backpack and pulls it away, still unsure of what to think about this Pokemon. Chimchar notices this behavior from the Drifloon as well and is kind of shocked. Could a wild Pokemon really be yearning for a trainer? And if so, why Matthew of all people?
The Drifloon then starts explaining to Matthew how it has been longing for a trainer to take care of it for about a month after seeing a trainer battle, and that it can see that Matthew has quite a bit of potential for a starting trainer. Matthew then looks back at his backpack, to the Pokeball that Drifloon was trying to reach for earlier, and pulls it out. "So, you're saying you want to come along with us for the ride?" he asks the Drifloon, who then lets out a little nod. "Okay then. Drifloon, welcome to the team." he says as he holds the Pokeball out to the Drifloon, waiting for it to touch it. |

"You're actually going to catch a soul stealing ghost like that," Copper commented, completely and utterly repulsed by ghost type Pokemon and wanting nothing to do with them in his future. |

Matthew then turns to Copper. "I don't see why not. After all, it does want to be with a trainer. Why not give him a shot, am I right?" he replies as he then turns back to the Drifloon, still holding the Pokeball out in front of it. "Drifloon, don't pay much mind to that last statement. One thing that I can say for sure is that I'll definitely be the best trainer that I can be for you." he then says to the Drifloon, making it now clear that he'll be happy to have Drifloon tag along with him and Chimchar.
Drifloon then nods and smiles. "Floon..." it says cheerfully, giving its sincerest thanks to Matthew as it touches the center of the Pokeball. Just then, a clicking sound can be heard, and the Drifloon gets sucked inside. Once inside, the Pokeball closes and starts to shake around a bit, a red light glowing in the center as the catching process starts. Matthew stares at the Pokeball as it shakes in the palm of his hand, wondering whether or not the light would fade and the shaking would end with a 'ding' sound.
Soon enough, the dinging can be heard, and the light fades from the center. Drifloon had been caught. This made both Matthew and Chimchar smile as they look at the Pokeball and then at each other. "Well, Chimchar, we've a new Pokemon to travel with now." Matthew then says to his Chimchar.
"Chimchar Chim." Chimchar then replies, adding onto Matthew's statement and saying that the Drifloon is also a new training partner. Matthew then looks back at the Pokeball, smiling. "Welcome, Drifloon. We've many adventures and experiences yet to go through..." he then says. |

While Copper knew that there were a lot of things that he couldn’t see and know about, he couldn’t understand how Matthew could just see and know that this ghost wanted to be with a trainer. He couldn’t fathom either why Matthew would want to bring a ghost with him anyways, not when he had been hesitant about it before.
”It gave you a rock, how does that tell you it wants to be with a trainer,” Copper returned shortly, having only been able to see the shape of the object, not knowing what it was, but as far as he knew it was just a rock, and that meant nothing in being able to tell if a Pokemon wanted to come with a trainer. It was a ghost, for all he knew it was trying to gain Matthew’s trust before it stole his soul and left his body as the shell of its meal.
”Ok, fine, catch the ghost, but don’t say I didn’t try to warn you against it when it starts sucking the life out of your body,” Copper commented shortly, suppressing a shiver at the thought of that thing Ridley called a Gengar trying to suck the life out of him, how cold he had been and how he almost gave into the power and fell asleep to not wake up again.

After catching the Drifloon, Matthew then turns to Copper. "Don't worry, Copper. I don't see this Drifloon looking to snatch my soul away any time soon." he says to him, still smiling. He then lets the Drifloon out of its Pokeball to get better acquainted to him and Chimchar.
After a few minutes, Drifloon gets to know a bit more about his trainer and Chimchar. "Floon. Drifloon Drif Drifloon." he says, waving to each one of them, saying that it is nice to meet them and accompany them on their journey. Matthew smiles and waves back, along with Chimchar, both then shaking Drifloon's hands afterwards. Matthew then points to Copper, saying to Drifloon, "This is Copper, another trainer that is going on a journey with us." Drifloon nods and floats over to Copper, happy to meet him. "Floon." he says as he sticks out his hand to Copper. |

Even the old ghost that Ridley had, he couldn't quite remember her name or what species she was called, but that old lady of a spirit was spiteful and hardly ever had anything nice to say. He knew he was generalizing about ghosts as a whole, but he felt he had every right to after almost being killed by more than one.
"You say that now," Copper commented as Matthew went on to say that he didn't feel the Drifloon would do anything of the like, but Copper was less than convinced. Even Cassio still was on edge with the ghost being around, his needles were prominent in his fur and stray sparks moved over his ears as the Drifloon lofted around the air.
"Yeah, only for now, and I'm traveling with you, not with that thing," Copper iterated, correcting Matthew on the fact that he was not going to be traveling or associating with the ghost at all as they might travel together for a bit longer, not wanting anything to do with it. Copper moved back though, skeptical and leery as the he watched the round figure of the ghost move towards him, and Cassio growled as it extended a thin protrusion that hung down from its round body.

Hearing Copper say this made Drifloon go from being happy to get to meet him to backing up, a sad expression coming on the ghost's face as he hangs his head down a bit. "Drif Drifloon..." he says weakly, sad that Copper would think he'd want to kill anyone as he floats back to Matthew. Matthew looks at the sad little Pokemon, feeling bad for him. "Hey, that wasn't very nice, Copper. He just wanted to say 'Hi'." he then says to Copper, looking at him as he gets a look-away from him in return. He then turns to Drifloon. "Don't worry, Drifloon. I don't think you're bad." he says, trying to cheer him up as he rubs his head.
Chimchar feels bad for Drifloon as well, but he doesn't know what to do. On one hand, he wanted to go over to Copper and tell him off, telling him that he shouldn't judge Pokemon based on whatever situation or upbringing he has. But on the other hand, he wanted to say some encouraging words to Drifloon to raise his spirits. "Chimchar Chim Chimchar?" he then mutters to himself, wondering what he could do to try to get Copper to open up to Drifloon's presence. |

He didn't care if it was sad or happy or confused or anything in between, he was very adamant about not wanting anything to do with the ghost. At his words, he watched it waft away from him in the air, and rightfully so since he had given his disdainful words, with a distant whine of a sound that came from the balloon. There was no remorse that Copper showed for having hurt the ghosts feelings, as far as he was concerned ghosts didn't have feelings being dead for one thing, and they certainly didn't have feelings towards others when it came to choosing their next victim to kill.
"What does it care if I'm nice or not? Ghosts don't have feelings, they're dead, they can't 'feel'," Copper returned, hardly able to understand why Matthew was all of a sudden coddling this thing and acting like he cared so much when he had just met it. There was no telling what the ghost would do in the future, he couldn't possibly trust it and like it enough already to think it wasn't capable of the things that ghosts were known for.
"Look, you can be friends with it and have fun with it and play with it all you want, that's all you, but if we're going to make this traveling together thing work, if only for a little bit, I don't want anything to do with a ghost," Copper tried to explain. He hardly knew Matthew still, and would never know in the future if the ghost did in fact kill him one day when they weren't traveling together, so it was all up to Matthew if he wanted to 'befriend' the ghost. Copper clearly couldn't stop him at this point, and wasn't going to try now, so Matthew could keep the Pokemon all he wanted, Copper just didn't want anything to do with it. He wasn't going to tell Matthew what he could and couldn't capture, that wasn't his place, but he didn't want any business with a ghost, especially trying to make friends with something that was dead. |

It was very clear that Copper didn't like ghosts, in any way shape or form, so what reason would he have to empathize with something that he was not fond of at all.
"No, you can't get me to empathize with that thing. I get it if you might be new to this whole traveling thing, but there are dangerous things out there that will try to kill you, and ghosts are one of them," Copper seethed, trying to level with Matthew the best that he could. If there was one thing that he knew already from his traveling in the months that he had left home, it was that some Pokemon out there were dangerous and lethal and had capacities for harming things around them that he could have never imagined. He had seen Pokemon bigger than he could have ever fathomed, bigger than his house even like the towering Aurorus that he had and wasn't sure to care for. With a single step the ice type could kill someone just by walking along the ground, and there were more Pokemon than just his own that were bigger than he could have known. There were Pokemon that had power that he never knew was possible, summoning giant boulders from the sky, shaking an entire ballroom to its very foundation, some even had the power to lift an entire room of trainers into the air and drop them to the broken ground, and Copper winced at the memory of the sore muscles he still had remnants of. He had seen a lot of things already, things he never thought possible, and ghosts and knowing what they were capable of was among those things. They were dangerous and unforgiving, and could sap someone's life from them without a single remorse, and that was something that Copper couldn't empathize with in the least.
It seemed that Matthew was quick to try and change the subject though, and really Copper couldn't have been more thankful. He didn't want to think about that cold feeling creeping over his body, being held down to the floor by a force he couldn't see, and any mention of a ghost was just too much for him as those memories started to fill his mind. Matthew wanted to move on, and Copper wondered if that meant out of the city that they were in, to go on to the next city that might have a gym like he was trying to find.
"Like leaving the city? I thought you wanted to stay here still," Copper returned, having thought that he wanted to train his Chimchar, or go to that television place. |

Well, it definitely seems like it could be a great asset for us." Matthew then thinks to himself as he turns and looks at Chimchar. "Well, what do you say, Chimchar? Should we try to catch this one?" he asks Chimchar.
"Char! Char!" Chimchar then exclaims, obviously showing a lot of excitement over the idea of catching this Kricketot.
"Alrighty then, Chimchar. Let's show this Pokemon what we can do." Matthew then says as he turns to the Kricketot and Chimchar hops off from his shoulder, ready to fight. "Okay, Chimchar. Let's get things going with Scratch." he then says.
"Chim...Chimchar!" Chimchar then says as he charges at Kricketot and scratches it, causing it to stumble back a bit. The Kricketot then uses Growl to try to intimidate Chimchar. Seeing this, Chimchar looks kind of confused, though his attack stats are now lowered. "Alright. That should do it." Matthew then says as he reaches into his backpack and pulls out an empty Pokeball. He then points it out in front of his face, aiming it at Kricketot, getting ready to capture it.

Matthew threw a Pokeball at Kricketot.
Success! Kricketot was caught!
"Alright. You're mine, Kricketot." Matthew then says as he starts to wind up for the Pokeball throw. "Go, Pokeball!" he then exclaims as he throws the Pokeball at the Kricketot. The Pokeball hits the Bug-type Pokemon's head before opening up, a red light then appearing from the Pokemon. This allows the Pokeball to suck the Kricketot up and close afterwards.
The Pokeball then falls to the ground, the red light seen from the center of the Pokeball now. Both Matthew and Chimchar would hold their breathes as they watch the Pokeball start to shake. Shake and shake the Pokeball did for ten seconds, and in that time, Matthew thinks to himself, "Come on... Please let this be a catch... Don't break out. Please do not break out of this ball." Pretty soon, a dinging sound is heard, and the Pokeball stops shaking around. It was over. Kricketune had been successfully caught.
Matthew then walks over to the Pokeball, picking it up. "Alright! That's three Pokemon now!" he says as he holds the Pokeball up into the air.
"Chimchar!" Chimchar then exclaims excitedly, jumping up and down, obviously happy about the catch. Matthew then turns to Chimchar and smiles at him. "Great work, Chimchar." he says to him as he walks over and pets his head. Chimchar smiles back and allows his trainer to pat his head for a job well done.

The Zubat, yes, was a small pertinent issue since Copper did want to find somewhere to put it that wasn't this city, but it was still resting and would probably fly away even if it decided that it wanted to go somewhere so it wasn't exactly pressing. The other point that Matthew brought up was Bravur who was still padding around the small city square, sniffing around in the grass and moving through the bushes, just itching for anything to do, but Copper was little concerned with Bravur getting bored or wasting his time.
"I promise you don't have to worry about Bravur. He'll say anything to do what he wants," Copper commented, not wanting Matthew to stop doing what he wanted just on his account, or on Bravur's account even. But it seemed that Matthew was drawn from the notion of traveling for just a moment as a small round Pokemon wandered towards them. Matthew was quick to jump into action again sending the small fire type forward, but only a few attacks were spared before Matthew threw a Pokeball at what the Pokedex had called a Kriketot. He wasn't sure what Matthew felt in being compelled to capture the Pokemon, but he didn't waste a chance as the Pokeball fell still with the Pokemon captured.
"You sure you want to move on? We can stay here in the city if you want, really. You don't have to change anything just because you think my mouthy Zorua is going to get bored," Copper asked, not wanting to take away from Matthew's plans at all since it seemed he was encountering a few Pokemon here. |

Matthew then starts to think about what Copper is saying. "Hmmm... Well, if you say that I don't have to worry about Bravur, then I guess we can stay for a bit longer." he then says to him as he heads back. He then lets out his newly caught Pokemon so that she can get to meet him and his Pokemon. "Kricketot!" can be heard from the Kricketot as she comes out of her Pokeball, excited to meet her new trainer. Matthew smiles at her and crouches down to her. "Hi there, little Kricketot. I'm Matthew." he then says, introducing himself to her.
"Kricke?" Kricketot then asks, trying to repeat her trainer's name back. "I'm your new trainer for a Pokemon journey." Matthew then goes on to say as he notices the battle damage that the little Pokemon has taken. He then reaches into his bag to take out a potion and try to heal Kricketot.
"Chim? Chimchar Chim?" Chimchar then asks, looking at the potion and pointing to it, wondering what it is.
"Huh? Oh. This is a potion, Chimchar. This is for healing up Pokemon if they get hurt in a battle." Matthew then explains to his fiery companion as he starts to spray Kricketot's wounds with the potion, healing her up from the battle.
A little while later, most of the scs have been healed and the potion runs out. "Hmmm... Empty..." Matthew says as he then pulls out another potion and uses it to finish healing Kricketot. Once finished, he looks at Kricketot and says, "There you go, Kricketot. You're as good as new."
"Kricketot. Kricketot." Kricketot then says, thankful to Matthew for healing her up.
"Hey, it's no problem at all, Kricketot." Matthew then replies, picking her up and allowing her to see Chimchar. "Chimchar." he then says, smiling and waving at the Bug-type Pokemon.
"Kricke." Kricketot replies, waving back at Chimchar with one of her antennae. |

Matthew was a nice enough guy, and though Copper wasn't still exactly into the whole friend thing and traveling with someone, he had no right to conduct this traveling together thing all for himself. It didn't matter that Bravur would get antsy, and Copper knew that well enough from traveling with the small fox, that wasn't enough of a reason for them to move on if Matthew actually did want to stay around in this city still.
"Really, I promise, don't worry about my Pokemon. I'll take care of Bravur if he gets unruly, so if you do want to stay in the city, we will," Copper reassured, not wanting to take away from Matthew's ambitions here in this place. With Copper's reassurance, Matthew had taken to letting out the small round bug he had captured to heal it with a potion or two, and try to introduce himself to it. Copper looked around them at the area they were in, and while the small city square was open and had some trees here and there, it wasn't exactly open enough to have too many Pokemon in the area. He could catch the shape of buildings on either side, though his sight did still only go so far even with the abundant city noise, but he wondered if there were a more open part of the city. He hadn't had any of his larger Pokemon out since they had left the Kalos Region since he had been traveling on Eco's back, and he felt like they might like some time out before they might move to another city. Copper remained quiet then as Matthew took to looking over the small bug Pokemon he had captured as he listened to those around him, being able to catch every conversation in passing with his keen hearing. He heard mention of business meetings and lunch dates and whether or not she should buy that top in the window, and for a moment he thought that all of these people were just far too busy to make any mention of somethig recreational, but then he heard it, a young childs voice in the distance. He couldn't tell where the child was, but he caught the sound of their voice, asking their parent if they were going to the park after lunch. A park sounded like a perfect place, and Matthew too could continue to train his Chimchar like he wanted, and get to know some of the other Pokemon he was amassing.
"Hey, do you want to try to find the park that's in this city? You could spend some time training there I'm sure," Copper offered when he thought Matthew might be finished tending to the small bug Pokemon. |

Matthew then hears Copper's offer to try to find a park in Jubilife City so that he and his Pokemon can get more training in, and he turns to Copper. "Wait... There's a park here in Jubilife City?" he asks, the idea of this park peaking his interest. If there was a park here, then he'd be willing to train all of his Pokemon until he feels like they're tough enough to take on the Pokemon in the next city. Chimchar and Kricketot hear about the park as well, and they look at Copper, and then turn to one another before looking back at Copper again. They're just as curious about the park as Matthew is.
Matthew then gives the idea some thought before looking up at Copper. "Well, if there is a park here, then sure. I'd like to head there." he says to him as he then looks down at his Pokemon, who were now smiling. "I think my Pokemon like the idea as well." he then adds as he crouches down to Chimchar, letting him climb onto his shoulder. He then returns Kricketot to her Pokeball before getting up and looking back at Copper. "Lead the way, Copper." he then says. |

He returned the small bug type and his Chimchar came back to his shoulder, and Copper took a moment to take the leash off of Cassio's vest so he could go fetch Bravur to come back. Copper looked to Matthew though as he asked Copper to lead the way, and Copper stopped then, unsure of where the park actually was.
"What? Oh, I don't know where it is," Copper admitted, having only heard so much of the conversation in passing.
"I only heard a kid somewhere talking about it, he didn't say where it was," Copper commented, wondering if the kid would have even really known where the park was in the first place since they were with their parent.
"I don't always catch entire conversations, especially not when there's so many people around, sorry," Copper stated, unsure of how they might find the park since he didn't actually know where it is, but at least he knew there was one in the city, so that was a start. |

The dark type had a few choice words and grumbles as he hung there from Cassio's maw, being dropped the short distance to the ground as the Jolteon leaned down to let him down.
"You didn't have to carry me back, I was coming," the Zorua grumbled as Copper leaned down to reattach Cassio's leash to his harness when Matthew was trying to think of how they could end up at the park. Copper looked to him then, and it was a good idea to follow the kid, but Copper didn't know which direction he'd gone, he didn't even see him, he had just heard his voice among the many that were drifting through the area.
"I mean, that'd be a great idea if I actually saw the kid... I only heard him talking, I don't know which way he was going," Copper remarked, have not quite thought far ahead enough to try to look for the kid through the passing figures that he could see around them.
"I can help find the park," came a spritely, chipper voice as Calla appeared in the air beside Copper, flitting about with her small form. Copper sighed and lowered his head at knowing the Azelf had come out of her Pokeball, still unsure of how he felt about the sprite at all, but she was there, and he couldn't quite get rid of her.
"Calla, not now," Copper groaned lightly, glancing up again with his pale eyes though at Matthew.
"Sorry, she doesn't always stay in her Pokeball," Copper apologized, giving his pointed comment at the sprite to try and insinuate that he did in fact want her back in her Pokeball. |

She had been with him for a month or two now, maybe, but that didn't change his opinion much on her. She was in the way, and talked way too much for Copper's likes sometimes, considering that the idea of Pokemon talking was still something entirely absurd to him despite Abban and Bravur who spoke just as much. And the very idea that she controlled the force of willpower, to think that his ambition and courage to run away from home that day could have very well been forced, that he wouldn't have made the decision on his own because of her influence, that just left a bitter taste in Copper's mouth. He wanted this journey to be his, he wanted to go see the world, as much as he could, on his own with Cassio and nothing to hinder him like his parents' protective nature towards him, and yet Calla was here, a testament to what could very well be a lack of willpower and integrity, and he rather resented her for ever having sought him out in Unova in the first place.
"I promise I can help you find it, I just want to help," Calla offered in a quieter voice then at feeling Copper's negative energy, and the resentment that she knew was directed towards her. She knew why Copper felt that way towards her, when she had tried to explain to him why she had come to find him in the first place, she wasn't met with thanks and elation at having been out in the world on his journey, he seethed at the notion that he hadn't made the choice for himself, but that was why Calla stayed still through the time that she had. She was just trying to get to know him, and help him understand that she only offers strength and integrity when someone seeks it out, but that was something Copper was still less than interested in hearing, but he did always have so much else going on in his thoughts. She was patient, and a genuinely and naturally kind being, and she felt like she belonged with Copper if only for a short while, so she stayed, and tried to help out when she could.
Both Copper and Calla stopped as Matthew took out the Pokedex device to see what she was, and Copper only groaned at the mention of her being the spirit of willpower, like he needed a reminder of what she was and what her presence meant.
"Yes, the Pokemon of willpower, and I am willing her to go back into her Pokeball," Copper leered with his pale eyes, glancing up at Calla's figure in the air beside him, but her focus was instead turned to the other human and the fire type that Copper was with who was holding that talking human device. It had been a while since Copper necessitated the use of his, since he was getting to know more about the Pokemon that he had with him, but she had never seen Copper use his in any case, and heard it talk about her being an Azelf, which she was.
"What is that? How does it know about me," she asked, flitting through the air with her long tails waving beneath her, coming closer to the human and the device as she looked at it intently. |

Matthew then looks to see Calla floating close to the Pokedex, curious to know about what it is and what it does. "Well, miss Azelf," he starts, unsure whether or not she has a name or not. "this device in my hand is called a Pokedex." he then begins to explain to the curious Azelf. "This thing's basically a beginner's guide to learning about various Pokemon, and each trainer is given one when they start their Pokemon journeys."
Chimchar looks up at Calla, simply at a loss of words for what he is seeing before him. A real Azelf? Floating right in front of Matthew and him? And how did Copper manage to catch her? These questions circle around in Chimchar's mind as he continues to stare, starting to feel like he should be asking her some questions. "Chimchar!" he then calls out to her, wanting to get her attention.
"Huh? What's wrong, Chimchar?" Matthew then asks, turning his head to his partner to see what's up.
"Chim Chimchar Chim, Chim Char Chimchar Char Char Chimchar Chim?" Chimchar then asks Calla, saying that he knows that he's just seen her, but he's hoping to know what her name is and how she got caught. |
