The two talked back and forth for a while and Quinn was mostly able to keep up with the Ducklett’s quacks, though the Pokemon didn’t seem to mind having to reexplain itself occasionally. As they talked, the city slowly began to wake up and, before long, was beginning the first rush of the day. Near the time for her meeting with Aiden, Apostrophe alerted her by causing her X-Transceiver to buzz. Though Aiden and Quinn had known each other for a long time, she saw their relationship as strictly professional. That being said, she wasn’t naive and suspected he at least had some feelings for her. When she thought about this, she felt a little guilty about asking him for favors such as this one. Still, it would help her get ahead in her career and she could at least give him first-hand accounts for a story this time. As she got up to head to the TV Station, Quinn waved goodbye to the Ducklett. As much as she hoped to study it more and have it as a companion, she did not want to battle and capture it that way. That being said, she had a suspicion that it would follow with her, not having any indication of it already having a trainer nor a particularly strong tie to other Pokemon in the area. Rather than waving back at Quinn, the Ducklett did just as Quinn had predicted and hopped out of the fountain to follow her. “Are you planning on coming with us? We’ll travel quite far and abroad, so I wouldn’t want you to miss this place too terribly,” She said, genuinely not wanting the Ducklett to regret its decision later. The Ducklett puffed out its chest as it let out a pleased quack. “Well, alright then. Let’s go!” Quinn replied as she held out a Pokeball in front of the Pokemon’s face who then pecked the button and was promptly absorbed inside. “I suppose I’ll call you Noira from now on,” Quinn said aloud to the ball before she and Cyan made their way towards the TV Station. {Party (Active)}

The Station was a relatively short walk from the park and, despite arriving several minutes early, it seemed that Aiden was already waiting for them outside the building. Quinn wasn’t one to arrive at places late, so seeing that he arrived even earlier than she did was just another reminder of his enthusiasm to help her out when he could. When he noticed Cyan and Quinn in the distance, Aiden called out to them and waved his empty arm to them in greeting, the other holding a folder with papers attempting to fall out. “Good morning, Quinn! I see your Croagunk is still with you. That is good to see!” Aiden said, more chipper than the average person this early in the morning. “Good morning to you too. Yes, Cyan here is always by my side,” Quinn began before wasting no time in getting straight to business, “Do you have the information I requested?” “Ah, uh, yes, I do! I put copies of it all in this folder for you to take with you. Sorry, it is a bit disorganized, but you could probably get it all to fit nicely in there. You have always been the tidy type.” Quinn reached out and grabbed the folder from Aiden’s outstretched hand while the other was behind his head. She skimmed through the papers for a preliminary search for anything of particular note and her eye was caught on a report of Alamos Town being taken over by electric-type Pokemon. “Do you know any more specifics about the Alamos Town hoards?” Quinn asked plainly. “Oh, yes! It’ll say in the report I printed too, but apparently, the town was taken over by electric-type Pokemon. Early reports before things started going dark also suggested that typical methods of combat against them seemed ineffective, namely ground-type Pokemon. Not sure what that was about though. There was also mention of increasing levels of static in the air before the levels were high enough to block out coherent signals going in or out of the town…” Quinn continued to scan through the papers for a few moments more until Aiden interrupted her focus by beginning to ask another question, “So, uh, Quinn, did you want to grab some coffee before you leave town again?” Quinn looked up from the papers briefly before looking back down and answering, “Sorry, but I have to get to Alamos Town soon as Professor Juniper instructed me for research purposes.” “Oh, that is fine. I understand…” Aiden said, dejected, “Well, I guess I will let you get going then.” “That would be most appreciated, thank you. Also, thank you for all of these papers, they will surely help with my research assignment. I’ll let you know what I discover about the phenomena firsthand when I am finished. Hopefully, you can make a good story like you usually do out of it,” Quinn replied adding the subtle compliment at the end to not seem as cold as she usually does. The two waved goodbye before Quinn and Cyan headed out to the nearby Alamos Town. The trek wasn’t long and they were able to arrive by the afternoon. Quinn was shocked, both literally and metaphorically, when they arrived. {Party (Active)}
