 On the very southern coast of Poni island, there is only one settlement that makes up any form of civilization on the entire island, and it's not a permanent settlement either. For some parts of the year, this place is only a series of docks and wood planks, completely devoid of any form of life, but throughout most of the year, it is teeming with boats and sailors. This community is made up entirely out of shops and homes that were made on a boat and therefore can travel freely at any time. These 'Seafolk' as they've been known to be called are constantly traveling through the many islands that make up the Alola Region, and not just the three main islands that have major settlements on them. They are traders and merchants all who tend to each other, gathering goods and learning new trades before heading back out onto the open ocean again, hardly ever taking a step into the wilderness of Poni island that stretches beyond their docks.  {Poni Wilds Gym (Click)}Mina is the Trial Captain and Gym Leader of Poni Wilds, her primary trial grounds being her house in Seafolk Village. She specializes in Fairy-type Pokémon. Mina is an aspiring artist who started painting at an early age, spurned after her family's Snubbull accidentally destroyed a picture she made while trying to express its liking of the work, an action Mina interpreted as her art not being good enough and striving to become better. She is acquainted with Ilima, and Mallow keeps one of her paintings in the foyer of her family's restaurant. Mina is known amongst her friends and family for her eclectic attitude that has been likened by her father as that of a fey vagabond. She's often wandering the seemingly endless Canyons looking for scenes and Pokemon to sketch and paint. She's often missing in action because of this, and some challengers and trial goers have to find her first. For her trial she asks the trainer to select one of her Pokemon, and paint it. Though, despite her putting her main focus on her art, she is a very strong battler. When she's not painting, she's often seen bored in the plains and has nothing to do because she has already defeated every trainer on the island. If you inspire her in the battle, or make a good impressions been known to give away paintings to the trainer, or even paint anything on request, Mina spends so much time wandering and painting, she never decided on what her gym would look like, so she opted to have one that's almost nonexistent. Her gym sits in the Poni Wilds just on the land behind the Seafolk Village. There is a clearing where the grass and wild life is open and flat that she will lead the competitors to.  {Ariana Belmont || Tough Contest Leader (Click)} Ariana grew up with her family in one of the farm houses near Paniola Ranch. She was raised on a ranch, so she knew what it meant to work hard from dusk until dawn. But she also knew what it meant to play hard as well. Ariana is very strong willed, and tough. But even still, she doesn't ignore her feminine side. She has tried her hand in Pokemon Battles, and while she enjoys them and has fun battling and winning. However, after trying her hand at them, she really enjoyed Contest more so. She loved the rough and tough side of battling, and the excitement, but not so much the violence of it. So, once she tried her and at it, she excelled greatly. In her category, she is often counted out, and assumes she's just a filler. However she loves to prove everyone wrong. She loves having fun, and adventures. She loves contests regardless of the outcome. His green scales no longer held the shine and gleam that they did upon his first emergence in this new form, instead they were dust and dirt ridden, scratched and scd, and there was blood that dripped and smeared in more than a few spots from the perils that they had all just endured. Despite that though, Scarux was not one to give in to the growing pain in his body until what needed to be taken care of was done, and that meant getting himself and his captain to the village in the west in order to begin their recovery.
The rest of the fight against the brutish Ultra Beasts was trying and truly more than Finn could have bargained for in taking up the responsibility to see the conflict through to its end, there was hardly time for him and the rest of the trainers to be able to adapt and gain their footing in the battle in order to really get a grasp on defeating the creatures. After the rockslide took out half of the canyon top they had taken solace on, it had seemed that the battle could have taken a turn for the worst. Finn winced as he breathed through gritted teeth atop Scarux's scales, his body sore and scd from having thrust himself from Verasi's back in their attempt to evade the falling rocks. He knew that the young dragon wouldn't have been able to endure the landing well at all if they had both made impact with the ground, but at the speed she was traveling in their descent, he took a hard hit in landing on the ground as he thrust himself off of her. Verasi's landing still wasn't as easy as he might have hoped after throwing her into the chaos of the fight, she hit the other side of the canyon wall in an attempt to pull up from the ground and fell back towards the dusty earth. In the midst of the chaos, Finn didn't have time to make sure she was alright as her slumped figure lay motionless on the ground, and in his pain he only managed to return her as the battle ensued. Scarux continued to take the head of the battle, leaving Finn to fend for himself, but it was just as wll since the canyon could have given in at any moment with the attacking Ultra Beasts. HE knew that Vitus had already taken his share of blows from the events of the day, and never mind the squabble that he had against that Mismagius regardless, and he couldn't risk having out too many other of his crew mates in the fray. The fight went on, through a blizzard caused by one of his assumed teammates, rocks continuing to fall and flood into the canyon trench they were trapped in, smoke and dust clouded the trench constantly, and the Ultra Beasts awesome power in the attacks that they held and Finn wasn't sure if this was something that they would be able to get out of with thier lives. Nothing that they did, collectively or individually seemed to cause any real damage to the beasts, not even the rock slide and the barrage of boulders seemed to cause them any harm, instead it only spurred their rage. There was going to be no easy way out of this, he could fathom so far that the other trainers might have already started thinking of escape plans, though to his dismay he wouldn't want to leave this matter and allow things to get worse, but if things kept going the way that they were, he would either need Bade or she would step in on her own, and they both knew that they couldn't have that. When it seemed like everything was going to come to an end, and they might all have to hope for the best in getting out of the canyon, Finn was looking for Ridley through the dust and rubble when there was that same shift in the air. Finn and Scarux both stopped and within moments two of those wormholes had opened up again, and the two beasts fled the first chance they got and left the canyon behind. Everything was quiet, and Finn could have sworn that it wasn't over, but the professor Burnet came, a bit too late, with an entourage of helicopters in tow to make sure that everyone had made it through alive. The pirate could have assumed that they had been tracking the events, but with something so large scale going on that they weren't prepared for, it made sense as to why they were having trouble keeping up. He hoped though that it was true that they would be prepared for something like this in the future if it ever did occur again because Finn felt as though that was far from the last time that they would see those interdimensional beasts if the fabrics of space time didn't hold up like they were supposed to, and that was anyone's gamble. All in all, casualities and collateral damage were minimized it seemed, and it was good to know that they had done what they could in conserving the areas that the Ultra Beasts had appeared in, but if he were being quite honest with himself he was rather over the concept of saving the world as he now started to wane down in how tired and beaten he was.

He saw her figure moving high above them, and it was comforting to know that she wasn't far, and hadn't been through the entirety of the events of interdimensional war. She herself however was quiet, in much the same reason that Finn was, for now there was much more to think about and consider in knowing that they were not alone in their plane of existence, and there was truly no way of knowing the expanse of these other dimensions that could pose a threat to their way of life as they knew it. The wyvern also had her less than pleasant encounter with her affiliate in life, the being beyond death, and that whole interaction left a bitter taste in her mouth. It had been centuries it felt like since her last interaction with him, and she had done well to keep to herself in her good work, but knowing that he was there and not knowing why had been one of the most daunting things aside from the threat of interdimensional war, and she almost hesitated to let her guard down. He didn't understand or didn't care to understand how fragile the base of life and existence was, and one foolish move from him could disturb and disrupt so much, and she didn't want Finn anywhere near him or his power. Cyren Braithwaite 
"Did you enjoy the trip?" Cyren asked his Machop as he helped her off of the boat. Venus nodded quickly, still playing with the crystal. She still didn't like boats but the trip had been better than she had expected it to be. "Where do you think we should go from here?" Venus looked up at her trainer and shrugged. They didn't have a destination in mind when they left Hau'oli City. They had no real plan other than to wander and see what they find. When Cyren started to move she followed right along behind him. Venus was usually a very careful Pokemon. She was supposed to be the leader of Cyren's team and she took her job very seriously. Had she not been distracted by her new crystal she would have noticed the Wimpod sitting on the dock, minding its own business. She would have done exactly as her trainer did and walked around it, leaving the Pokemon to go about its day. Instead she stepped on the poor thing. She tripped and would have fallen flat if Cyren hadn't caught her in time. The Wimpod panicked and attempted to bite her, fortunately just missing the Machop's leg. The encounter was entirely her fault and she probably would have apologized to the bug if her trainer didn't decide this was the perfect opportunity to find out just what was in the Pokeball they had been sent. Cyren expected many things to come out of the Pokeball- all of them soft, squishy, or as panicky as Yami. He really needed to find out what was wrong with his Kabuto at some point...That was a problem for another time however. Of all of the things he was expecting, a Noivern was not one of them. "This...feels like a bit much." Cyren considered recalling the Noivern but she didn't give him a chance to do so. The sight of the Noivern frightened the Wimpod even further and it managed to land a bite on her. She was having none of that. The Wimpod had made the mistake of latching on to the Noivern's wing. A fierce flap of her wings set the unfortunate little bug flying into the air above her...and straight back down on to her head. The Wimpod began to flail about until the Noivern threw it off of herself, at which point it stopped moving. Cyren sighed, watching the fainted Pokemon for a moment before taking a Pokeball from his bag and throwing it at it. It shook a few times before it pinged to signal the Pokemon had been caught.
"That was a thing." He muttered to himself as he picked up the Pokeball. He would have to stop by a Pokemon Center eventually. For now he turned his attention to the Noivern. She shook herself off, looking more than a bit pleased with herself for taking out what she considered to be a very obnoxious little bug. Anything else that made the mistake of trying to fight her would meet a similar fate if she had her way! She licked at her wounded wing, ignoring her new trainer up until he tried to spray the injury with a Potion for her...at which point she snapped at him. "Okay. You don't like being touched." Cyren raised his hands up to show he wasn't a threat. "I'm sorry." He glanced at Venus, who shrugged helplessly. What were they going to do with a Noivern?Eve Vs. He'd only had eyes for ridding this plane of the malevolent which of a Mismagius that had caught Vitus in her power, and while Bade had taken charge of her place in the world with the ghost, that had hardly ended and given Finn a moment of reprieve before Melemele Island errupted into sheer chaos. The attack by those Team Skull miscreants was one thing, their attempt to dismantle the Kaua'I Mokihana Festival was frutless but definitely a hindrance for one of the regions' biggest festivals and Finn was happy to have done away with the grunts and 'operatives' that he could. However, that all seemed to pale in comparison to the first attack by the Ultra Beasts that occurred on the beaches and southern parts of the city, and nothing could have prepared him or his Pokemon for what they were going to face. It was a lucky stroke that the two giant beasts fled when they did, or just sheer circumstance that the alignments of their dimensions came up just in time for them to return from whence they came, otherwise Finn wasn't sure that he and the other trainers would have made it out of the canyon alive. It was also a relief to know that there was a Pokemon Center on Poni Island where the Seafolk Village usually congregated, giving him somewhere to stay and somewhere to tend to his Pokemon. He had faced worse, much worse in regards to injuries and otherwise, the fractal scar that branched over his chest, left arm, and back was proof enough of that, and his crew mates had definitely been been worse for wear before. It was just the sheer power that the Ultra Beasts had and the lack of any preparation or knowledge that they had to combat the beasts that made it just as difficult as anything else they had faced off against. Vitus and Verasi weren't up to par with the demands of the fight, and Scarux whom had taken most of the day's events was bone tired and worn down though the dragon would never admit to it. He himself had endured quite a bit, scs, bruises, cuts and smeared blood, and his body throbbed from throwing himself from Verasi's back, but he couldn't complain if he really looked himself over. That nightmarish ball and Darkrai's realm all presented just as dire threats, so he truly just needed some rest and bandages and he felt like he would be right as rain, except for the new onslaught of existential thoughts that came to him.
The rest of the day was spent at the center when Scarux landed on the western side of the island, Finn needed to get his Pokemon tended to and he needed to get himself cleaned up, but he didn't spend near as much time in the center for himself as might have been beneficial for him. As soon as he was bandaged, he moved out from the center to come find Bade whom had taken solace just north in the wilds and fields. Finn knew that the wyvern had experienced a lot that day, all starting with the Mismagius and her derogative disposition to Bade's power, and things like that always made her second guess herself and her morality, and what it meant to be in her place in the world. She didn't tell him of her encounter with Giratina, but she was hard pressed if she thought that Finn wouldn't know that something more was wrong after their years spent together. They were quiet for a while, Finn found himself homed and relaxed by the sound of ocean waves in the near distance and the salt in the air as he rested on her wing, both taking comfort in each other from the unprecedented conundrum they had been introduced to. The idea of inter dimensional creatures and worlds beyond theirs just made things seem so mall now, even Finn felt as though his state of living between life and death was insignificant. It was fair to say that they had experienced so much in such a little amount of time, they were both overwhelmed and unsure of how to take on this new fact of life, but for the time being there was nothing they could do but fret over the uncertainty of it all, and neither of them wanted to dwell on that. They had time to themselves again, so for now they would take care in recovering from the day's events and try to move forward.
The next day came quickly enough as Finn had opted for a bed inside the small Pokemon Center to stay the night in while Verasi, Scarux, and Vitus were being tended to by the nurses of the center for the night. He slept soundly if only because his weariness finally did catch up with him, but he still had a bitter taste in his mouth from the things that had happened the day before with no real outlet for those misgivings to go. He woke eventually that morning, still somewhat the early riser that he had always been on his ship, though he struggled a bit with sore muscles and pinching skin as he became more animated. In recent times however, he almost welcomed the pain, homed by the feeling of his physical being and knowing that he was still there, he was never quite sure if one morning he wasn't going to wake to sunrise, a thought he tried not to bring about too often. The pirate recalled vividly the day before and what transpired, but he had a new light in being at the western edge of Poni Island and knowing that he would get a chance to see the nomadic villagers that came and went. He was worried though, knowing that they had all evacuated the day before, it was likely that they hadn't returned to land yet depending on how far they had gone. Taking some time to cool down and rest sounded like a novel idea, and he felt that spending his day out on the ocean to visit with any of his sea fairing familiars was just what he and his Pokemon needed. It had been far too long since they'd been out on the water, even his mates like Scarux and Pintel would say that they missed the open sea air, and he felt that he owed it to his Pokemon like Vitus and Thaedra and even young Osilvey to spend some time out in the water.
"Not many of the villagers have returned from sea," came Bade's voice as Finn was gathering his things within the small room he had been given to stay in. It was no surprise, they didn't know what might have come of the island and weren't sure if it was safe to return, Finn was just glad that they had all escaped safely should the Ultra Beasts have bested them in the canyons and taken to the rest of the island.
"Aye, they took to the seas to evacuate, the leader Mina mentioned that she had helped them on their way when the beasts began to attack when she came to aid us in battle," Finn returned, his satchel ready and slung over his shoulder as he moved out of the center.
"Ah captain, good to see you've rested well," Archimedes spoke then after seeing Finn move through the main of the center. The Greninja had been one of Finn's first Pokemon that he released upon arrival at the center, knowing the frog would be ample and capable help in making sure that everyone got the attention that they needed. The water type was nothing short of intelligent and Finn and trust him to be out and about, and he smiled at Archimedes' greeting.
"You should know by now it takes much more to shake the salt from my bones mate," Finn quipped, always trying to make the most of his state of being in recent times.
"Vitus, Scarux, and young Verasi have all made a full recovery. No serious injuries were incurred," the frog proceeded as Finn came to join him, and the pirate was not the least bit surprised when Archimedes held out the pokeballs of his crew, having already retrieved them from the nurse for the morning.
"A welcome start to the day," he smiled, taking the items from the water type.
"And what's our heading for this day," Archimedes asked then as they started through the center doors and out into the fresh mid morning of the island. The sun was high already and the air was crisp with sea salt, and Finn drew in a deep breath as he looked out with his bright green eyes, and in a moment of contentment he took two of his Pokeballs and released Osilvey and Hyse out into the open.
"We'll take to the seas today. The villagers deserve to know that nothing came of their docks here on the island, they might not have received any word after the beasts returned to their worlds," he spoke then, just a tad bit eager to get back out on the open ocean after what seemed to be far too long.
"But captain, do we know which way the villagers traveled when they were evacuated," the frog asked, knowing of course that they had no trouble navigating the open ocean, but it would be best to know in which direction they needed to go instead of wandering aimlessly.
"Bade mentioned that some of the villagers have returned, they might not have gone as far as some of the others. If they know which way they started to travel, then we can use that as our direction," he answered, moving from the center to the wood of the docks, and true to her word Bade was right, there were about two boats that had come back to the docks.
"There look, there's someone," came young Osilvey's voice, the small Mudkip padding around on the wood of the docks where he watched a man with a Noivern down the way in a small stint with a Whimpod. Finn looked on in the direction Osilvey indicated, and he found that they were not alone out in the village then, and he smiled as he moved towards the male in question.
"Aye mate, a striking Noivern you've got there. She's beautiful," Finn called out then in an attempt to get his attention, noting the dragon that stood with him. It seemed though that the dragon was a bit touchy when it came to the human beside her, but what fierce creature wasn't a bit haughty. Even Ishani had her moments of superiority, and Thaedra certainly had a bit of a vanity complex.
"Good to see you've made it back safe, you're one of the villagers, right? Do you know which way the boats departed yesterday? I want to make my way out to the seas to let them know its safe to return," the pirate asked, glad to see that their lives weren't too terribly uprooted due to the events of the day before, much unlike parts of Malie City that had unfortunately been destroyed because of the Ultra Beasts.
"Yeah, there were big monsters that were attacking, Finn wouldn't let me see any of them, but it's safe now," the Mudkip went on, padding forward on his small feet as he looked towards the Machop and the Noivern in question. "I think she appreciates the compliment. Sorry to say but I don't think we're going to be much help. We're just passing through. We happened to catch a ride with someone headed back this way from Hau'oli City." Cyren replied with a slight frown. "If one of the boats was near Hau'oli City I imagine there must be a few more that way." He wished be could be of more help to the stranger but he really had no idea where any of the boats had gone. He didn't even know what had happened to cause them to leave in the first place. All he knew was there was an evacuation for some reason and he and his sister had apparently come to Alola at the worst possible time. "I have no idea what's been going on around here but if there's anything I can do to help please let me know. We would be happy to help however we can."
"Big monsters? That sounds unpleasant." Venus sounded somewhat concerned by this news. She hoped the villagers were okay. "Are you guys from around here?" She asked the Mudkip, tilting her head curiously. Judging by the questions the pirate was asking she felt it safe to assume that they weren't but it couldn't hurt to be sure.
While Venus and Cyren were distracted by their conversations, Eve located what she assumed was the Wimpod she was looking for. "Gotcha!" She pounced on the Wimpod and found herself on the receiving end of a bite from yet another frightened bug. Once again she used her wings to throw the poor Wimpod away from herself. This time, however, she followed after it, clamping down on the little bug while it frantically tried escape. It thrashed and bit at her for a while, scratching up the Noivern pretty good before it stopped moving. Victory was hers! She had defeated another irritating little bug! Soon the Wimpod menace would be gone for good! She wasn't going to let a single Wimpod escape her. After some consideration she decided to carry the Wimpod over to her new trainer, offering it to him like a cat bringing home something it had hunted as a present. He had captured the first bug so why not this one too? She was working hard to knock these things out so the least he could do was show some appreciation and lock it away for good in a Pokeball! These things would never be allowed to see the light of day again if she had her way.
Cyren stared at the Wimpod being offered to him and frowned. The Noivern looked so proud of herself but he really didn't know what he was going to do with another Wimpod. He didn't even know what to do with the first Wimpod. "Thank you." He said after he realized he was staring at the Noivern. He decided he would humor her and capture the second Wimpod- more for the Wimpod's sake than anything else. Being carried around in the mouth of a Noivern could not have been comfortable. They were going to have to find something to distract her with to keep her from messing with any other Wimpods in the area afterwards. Cyren took a Pokeball out of his bag and pressed it against the Wimpod, letting the ball shake around in his hand until it dinged to signal that the second Wimpod had also been caught. Eve began searching for a third Wimpod immediately and settled down when she couldn't find one. The Wimpods were on to her plan to destroy them. She pouted and decided to distract herself by watching the water for a bit instead. She didn't feel like joining the conversation.

He donned black breeches that were tucked into his worn leather boots, dusty and well used from the years he'd had them, but he hadn't been able to be bothered that morning to spruce up the rest of his appearance because of how bone tired he still really was. His captain would have had him rigging the sails all morning for his disorderly appearance since his brown linen shirt was untucked from his waist and hung loosely over him, his laced sleeves were undone at the cuffs and hung around his wrists, and the laces on his chest had hardly been touched as the neck hung open against his chest. If only for the sake of keeping it out of his face in the stiff sea breezes, Finn managed to tie back his dark brown hair for the morning, but that was all he had mustered in regards to grooming himself for the day, and he almost had to laugh earlier at the thought of his captain looking down upon him in his disheveled conduct.
Moving forward with Finn as they had started out onto the vast docks of the village, Archimedes kept a close eye now on the two younger and smaller Pokemon that Finn had let out from their Pokeballs to make sure they didn't stray too far or get into any trouble. He wasn't so concerned with young Osilvey, the small mudskipper was behaved enough to not merit much concern. The young croc however, Hyse as they had come to know him, he was trouble from the moment they'd encountered him within that blasted realm of Darkrai's, and the frog couldn't be certain of how he would take to being out and about in such a free space. They could very well lose him the second he decided to take on a different color within his surroundings as opposed to what they'd come to realize was the natural almost reflective blue of his scales, but he knew he was not without help since the wyvern Bade always kept such close watch over all of them, something they'd gotten used to over the years. Archimedes' attention turned to the human though that they had come into contact with, graciously stepping aside to allow the Noivern a chance to move past them as the dragon huffed at one thing or another, though didn't notice that Hyse slipped by him too in an attempt to follow the biggest Pokemon that was around them for the moment out of sheer curiosity.
Having been expecting to have come into contact with one of the villagers that resided on the coast of Poni Island, having never known the docks to be much of a tourist route by trade by any means, Finn was rather suprirsed to hear that the male was just passing through as he put it, coming to the island from Hau'Oli City. He supposed that docks from Hau'Oli and other major cities would have started to send relief efforts and supplies to the affected areas of the region in order to begin rebuilding, but he was now a bit disgruntled again at not knowing which direction most of the villagers had gone in fleeing from the island.
"Ah, apologies then, this place doesn't see many visitors aside from the ocassional challenger, I assumed you belonged to one of the boats here," Finn digressed then, though beside him as young Osilvey had padded forward, he was a bit taken aback that the water type was so forward about speaking of the monsters they'd faced the day before. He had taken the time to regail some of the detail to his other crew mates that hadn't been a part of the battles, knowing that it was in good practice to keep everyone on the same page, but it seemed that Osilvey had his own take on things now in recalling the big monsters that they fought. He almost didn't catch the rest of what the male had mentioned, offering help, and Finn was grateful, but wasn't sure what he could do.
"Aye, help would be appreciated, we're planning on traveling out into the seas today to find the rest of the villagers. Any water fairing Pokemon you have could be helpful, extra sets of eyes might aid us in our search," Finn offered, still taking a little discretion in what had occured, but Osilvey on the other hand looked up to the Machop that spoke back to him about the big monsters, padding forward still towards the fighting type.
"Yeah, there were big monsters, as big as our friend Bade, and they were attacking the big rocks over there," the water type spoke, pointing over towards the east where the canyons were, but Archimedes was quick to chide the water skipper for his words, knowing that while they might not be able to hold the discretion of what happened in regards to the Ultra Beasts because of the inter national attention the incident was sure to get, they could be just a tad more discreet about their own affairs.
"Now Osilvey, there's no need for you to go on about those creatures," Archimedes hushed, knowing that Finn would appreciate the discretion just the same.
"But they were attacking the big rocks...," he said again, a little discouraged, but the Machop asked another preceptive question that caught Osilvey's attention, and he turned back with his bright eyes and looked up at her.
"From here? No, but Finn is from the water, he talks about the water a lot. We travel all over going to different places and see different things, I've been a lot of places with Finn," the mudskipper commented, looking back and forth from Finn to the Machop.
"Where do you come from," he asked then in an inquisitive curiosity.
Slipping away from the group to follow the big Pokemon, Hyse hobbled along on the ground on his flat feet as he watched the dragon inquisitively and curiously, paying no mind to the conversation that was taking place and clearly not concerned from having left the group that he had been traveling with. He was young and impressionable, and learned by watching, and right now he was watching the big dragon move around the area in search of something that had skittered off before. The small croc looked over her scales, the dark black of them striking his interest, and as he moved forward to keep following, his own scales changed shade and became the color of hers, a way for him to start processing what it was that she was doing. He watched as she found the strange shaped Pokemon that she was looking for and promptly shot for it with her wings and snatched it in her jaw, holding it tight before the Pokemon stopped to struggle and began to walk away with it. This was a peculiar behavior, but surely this was how things were done when one of those Pokemon came around... Hyse contemplated things for a moment before he rushed around on his flat feet, trying to find one of the same creatures that he had watched the dragon take on. Scuttling around on the ground, he found a much smaller one in comparison to the one that the Noivern captured, but he used his strong muzzle to clamp down on it and drug it away much less effectively than she did, but it was detained all the same.
"I found the beast, the beast is right here, I found it like you did," the croc mumbled with his mouth full as he scurried along the wooden dock towards the Noivern, holding it up for her to see, but then he was confused to see that the other human took the Pokemon and captured it...
"What do I do with it," he mumbled again, struggling to keep the small whimpod in his jaws as it struggled, his teeth were no where near as long or strong as hers, and he did nothing more really than agitate the bug that was being drug around like a toy.
Unaware of Hyse's antics, Finn's attention was still on the trainer whom he'd come into contact with, and the young man asked what had happened that might have caused the evacuation. Finn knew that it was all public record by now, conservation efforts heading towards the Jungle that had been attacked, he knew parts of Mallie City were in ruin, there wasn't much of a way to keep that quiet, it would only be a matter of time before he did get the whole story. He just wasn't sure how he felt talking about it.
"Well, and take this all with a grain of salt mate, it's a lot to take in, I'm still having trouble going through it all," Finn cautioned, really unsure of how to begin, which was such a struggle for him being the natural story teller that he was.
"It would seem that we in this plane of existence only belong to one of many dimensions out there, and there are creatures that scientists call Ultra Beasts that are unlike anything anyone has ever seen. These scientists weren't prepared for a clash in this dimension structure, and some of these Ultra Beasts ended up here in Alola, and it would have been a tragic disaster if they had been able to roam free here," Finn tried to explain as easily as he could, but nothing about what he had to say on the matter seemed to make any semblance of sense. The only credibility that he could possibly have to his statements were the desctruction paths through Hau'Oli and Malie city, otherwise he probably sounded like an absolute loon trying to recount the events that he was still having trouble grasping. "Sounds like you guys have had a rough time." Venus decided against prying any further. The frog seemed against discussing the creatures and talking about them probably wasn't good for the young Mudkip. She smiled when he asked where she was from, pointing in the direction the boat the had taken to get to the village had come from earlier in the morning. "I'm from another part of Alola. Cyren is a new trainer so we haven't had the chance to explore as much. I'm sure we'll get to see all sorts of different places someday." She paused, toying with the crystal she wore around her neck for a moment. Encountering a bunch of big monster seemed like something that would be scary for a young Pokemon. The Machop decided it best to try to give the little Mudkip something else to think about for a while. "Is there anywhere in particular you think would be worth visiting?" She doubted Cyren would stay in Alola forever. Perhaps if the Mudkip knew of some nice locations elsewhere she could ask Cyren to visit them someday. At any rate, giving him something pleasant to focus on would hopefully help get his thoughts away from the "big monsters" and whatever it was that they had done.
The other male had been correct in saying it was a lot to take in. Cyren briefly struggled to process what he had just been told. Creatures from another dimension had managed to stir up quite a bit of trouble in Alola. There were a lot of strange or new things he had expected to encounter upon becoming a trainer. New Pokemon, odd but fascinating people, different regions and their varying myths and cultures...Somehow creatures from another dimension hadn't quite made the list of things he expected to hear about. He didn't dismiss the claims as the ramblings of a crazy trainer after giving them some thought. Something had clearly happened in the village and he had no reason not to believe the other trainer. Stranger things had happened. "Not the weirdest thing I've heard." He commented with a grin before his expression fell. "I can't imagine how the villagers must feel right now." Or how anyone who had been suddenly uprooted by the Ultra Beasts had to feel. They must be having an awful time. "Best to find them quickly. I'm sure they'll be glad to hear that they can return home." Or at least he assumed they could. It sounded to him as if the problem had been mostly resolved. The sooner they found the villagers, the sooner they could return and try to get back to their normal lives.
"I've got a few Pokemon that can fly and a Kabuto- though I can't promise he'll be much help in the water." Or on land...or anywhere really. Yami was going to be basically useless unless they encountered something he might be able to freeze with Blizzard. The poor Kabuto's eyes didn't function nearly well enough for him to be able to help in the search for the villagers. Releasing the two Wimpods to help them was also likely ill advised. He couldn't be sure how his Noivern would react to the Bugs. Mercury wouldn't have any trouble flying along to help search for the villagers. His Ledyba and Noivern were going to be his best options in helping the other male search for the villagers. "My name is Cyren Braithwaite. It's a pleasure to meet you." When they arrived at the Pokemon Center he finally remembered his phone, taking it back from Venus and opening up the message again. He blinked when he realized that the options had changed from "Accept" and "Decline" to "Ready". He must have hit Accept without realizing it. So long as he didn't hit "Ready" he figured it wouldn't be a problem. He didn't have to acknowledge the message any further than he already had. There were more important things for him to worry about and yet..."What do you think? Should we go to the ball?" Cyren asked his Pokemon. Venus only shrugged in response while Eve was too busy trying to shake the water off of herself to acknowledge him. He considered his options before deciding he would go to the ball. If Llorona was there he could confirm she was okay and retrieve his Litten. If she wasn't there he could return to Alola. The plan seemed simple enough to him. He hit "Ready", unsure what would happen when he did. He assumed he would be given a location that he would be required to go to. He wasn't expecting an Abra to appear. "This saves us some traveling I suppose." The male smiled at the Abra, gesturing for it to wait while he changed into something not dripping wet. A few minutes later Cyren had dried his hair as best he could in that short amount of time, brushed it out, and changed into the closest thing to a formal outfit he could find among his things. Cyren and formal did not mix. During that time his Noivern and Wimpods were patched up by the nurse. "Are you girls ready?" For the better part of the day, in an attempt to do right by the villagers who had almost had their home marred by the raged beasts that came in such a fury of anger and power, Finn and his Pokemon set out on the water to at least spread word that everything was safe. Finn set out with his trusted partner Vitus, and kept Vitani close, with Osilvey and Hyse who were enjoying the water for the day. Archimedes and Pintel set out from the air and water respectively together, and Scarux made easy work, especially in his new form, of soaring through the skies, his keen senses keeping an eye out for any of the homes that might be out on the water, where Bade remained higher above them all to aid in their small mission for the day. They spanned out for miles from each other, going in different directions, Thaedra got in on the search as well with Verasi practicing her flying in the open skies, landing on the water serpent when she needed a rest from the heavy winds. Spreading out over the water, and with their own seafaring intuition plus Bade’s guidance from above, they did find a few of the villagers that Finn and his older Pokemon had grown familiar with over the years, able to give them word that Poni island was safe, and they could return when the tides gave way. Hours had gone by, and they were able to come back together in a group, swimming and flying or perched across the water, and for the time being Finn was enjoying being out on the open ocean again as he remained atop Vitus’ shell. The sun warmed him, and the sprays of the sea were soothing, and he had almost forgotten how peaceful it was for him to be out on the open water, as though he was able to forget about what had just occurred in his life, if only for a little bit, and become more himself again.
Having gone far out into the open ocean around the islands of Alola, miles and miles out to try and find as many of the villagers as they could, Finn and his Pokemon made easy work of moving back towards the mainlands, but weren’t in any kind of hurry. The pirate was enjoying the open water, and could tell that his Pokemon were too, especially Osilvey and Hyse who were splashing and swimming around and playing with each other. All of his water fairing Pokemon kept a close eye on the two younger swimmers, Archimedes in particular made it a point to follow them if they went too far. The frog followed as they dove down into the water, making sure that they weren’t going to get into any territory that would cause trouble from Sharpedo or other territorial species, but it seemed that their curiosity was piqued because they found something in the depths, the remnants of an old ship.
”How remarkable, a shipwreck is down here,” Archimedes commented, actually proceeding forward beneath the water, and Finn and his Pokemon looked at each other at the mention. It was common knowledge that there were shipwrecks in every corner of the globe, they weren’t as rare as some might think because of how many ships used to travel the oceans, and still do, but it was always riveting to find one in their travels, and of course Finn absolutely loved the history of it.
”Take us down,” Finn smiled eagerly, patting the side of Vitus’ shell. The turtle knew that to Finn he was his most trusted seafaring partner, they had long ago developed many forms of non verbal communication in order to make underwater travel possible between them, and still Finn felt that Vitus’ speed in the water went unmatched, which did make it easy for him to be able to come up for air when he needed. The turtle made sure that his cannons were tucked in and waited for Finn to brace himself, and as he began his descent, Finn drew in a hefty breath. The pirate had had many years of practice in being underwater, and was capable of holding his breath to complete tasks and otherwise for extended amounts of time, and so as Vitus descended beneath the surface of the water, Finn prepared himself and held fast against the turtle’s shell. Vitus picked up his speed as they both looked around to find Archimedes, and they found the frog in the near distance motioning for them to follow. Within seconds, they too found the sight that the frog had beheld, and it was in fact an entire shipwreck that Osilvey and Hyse were moving towards.
”I’ll be, she’s beautiful,” Finn commented, looking down towards the structure stuck among the rocks and coral of the ocean floor.
”Go in for a look Archimedes, what can you tell,” the pirate asked, keeping a bit above the wreck to make sure they had a clear way to the ocean’s surface, but Archimedes acquiesced as he moved downward to inspect the remnants of history. The frog was intelligent and well read already when Finn had met him years ago, and over the course of their travels Finn taught him what he knew and vice versa, so the Greninja was well versed in pirate history and the things that fascinated him. The Greninja followed closely behind Osilvey and Hyse to keep an eye on the two younger Pokemon, coming closer to the ship’s remains, and already he could tell that the vessel had a well worn history. He came to the tip of the remnants of the mast of the ship, inspecting it closely, and carefully touching the wood beneath the seaweed and moss that had taken over.
”Oak wood… Ships in the late 19th century were being built from iron and steel, this could easily date back two hundred years or more,” Archimedes began, already deeply fascinated with their find.
”It must have been incredibly well built, a strong vessel indeed. You can see the size of the gun deck, and how many ports in the hull there are for cannons… This had to have been a very feared force on the seas…,” Finn commented.
”Phineas… I feel something sinister around us… Something powerful,” came Bade’s voice in warning, she was lofting in the air above the space where Finn had gone under, eager of course in his ambitious actions, but as soon as Archimedes commented on the age of the vessel, she felt something stirring… She couldn’t place it though…
”We’re keeping a watchful eye. Archimedes, see if you can get to the starboard hull, find a name for this vessel,” the pirate asked, quickly dismissing Bade’s caution in wanting to find out more about the history of this ship. He was familiar with many historical pirates, their ships, the meaning of their ventures, and he wanted to know if he could identify this vessel. Hyse and Osilvey were swimming circles around the remnants of the mast while Archimedes moved downwards, and Finn watched in eager awe from above, trying to be sparse about the air he held. The frog searched for a moment or two, trying to find the right placement for a placard or carving that would indicate the name of the vessel, and he did find it through the moss and seaweed. He was careful in trying to brush through the foliage, making sure not to harm the state of the ship until he was able to make out two words.
”The Walrein,” Archimedes spoke then, repeating what he’d read. At that moment there was a shift in the water, a thick pulse emanated from the heart of the ship and outward, knocking Osilvey and Hyse through the water and pushing Archimedes back, and Finn had to brace himself against Vitus’ shell as the pulse rushed over them. Finn struggled to hold himself against Vitus’ shell, but he tapped a small sequence with his open hand on the turtle’s shell, and the water type knew it was time to head for the surface. Archimedes made quick work of rushing through the water to grab Osilvey and Hyse so the two young swimmers weren’t lost to the open water, but just as he too was heading for the surface of the water, he heard the wood of the ship creak and crack at something moving within, and he caught the sight of movement in the dark water. Finn came up from the water atop Vitus’ shell, gasping for a breath at the sudden exertion he had gone through, situating as Vitus crested in the water.
”The energy, it’s coming from the ship, there’s something down there,” Bade hissed as she appeared through the clouds, looking down at Finn and his Pokemon.
”The Walrein is the most infamous ship in history, Captain Flint was notorious with his reign, but no one ever knew what happened to him or his ship,” Finn coughed as Archimedes came up from the water, and Finn had to wonder if it was the spirit of Captain Flint that Bade was feeling.
”There’s something in the water, something is surfacing,” the frog heaved as he rushed forward with the two small water types who were both in a panic, and he only just managed to move forward before something crested out of the water, a large figure emerging through the sprays of sea water, revealing a very large Dhelmise before them. Thaedra and Scarus hissed at the figure while Vitus glowered at the emergence, but Finn looked on now in awe, knowing what Dhelmise were… Spirits of those lost at sea, forever bound to the vessel they died with…
”Ye be warned, you’ll not disturb The Walrein,” the ghost cried, and it’s anchor fell from it’s hold, ready to strike, but Finn stood quickly atop Vitus’ shell.
”We come with no ill will Captain Flint, we are but humble pirates ourselves,” Finn called out, trying to appease the spirit.
”How dare you speak that malevolent name! I’ll have you drowned, my fate will be yours,” the spirit bellowed, and it’s anchor lunged forward towards Finn and his Pokemon, enraged at the mention of Captain Flint’s name. Finn was confused, but understood the severity of the situation, leaping from Vitus’ back and into the water to try and dodge the attack of the massive anchor, swimming through the water towards Thaedra who hissed and roared again at the attack.
”Phineas, Archimedes, come to me,” the serpent hissed, knowing that her large figure would be able to withstand the force of the attacks, and that would leave Vitus free to do his work. Finn heaved himself through the water, stroking as fast as his arms could carry him, but it wasn’t fast enough as the anchor struck the water, and the force sent a powerful wave in either direction that caught him in its wake, thrusting him through the water. He maintained himself though, drawing in a breath as he was submerged, but Thaedra’s quick action allowed her to move effortlessly through the water and she caught Finn’s figure on her back while Archimedes moved forward to meet her. Vitani and Verasi also moved to Thaedra’s figure, all wanting to keep away from the line of fire now as Vitus squared up against the Dhelmise in the water. He bared his cannons and took aim, and fired with dark energy at the ghost, and the blows struck head on with a force that proved to be powerful as the Dhelmise recoiled back with a cry.
”I don’t understand, if not Captain Flint, who’s spirit has been tied to the vessel for two hundred years,” Archimedes spoke to Finn as he too had climbed onto Thaedra’s back, coming to find his captain in the midst of the battle. Finn had been trying to think too, the Dhelmise reacted so violently to just the mention of the famed captain, but why would that be?
”I’m not sure.. The history of The Walrein has always said that no one knew what happened to Flint and his ship, he marooned his entire crew in going mad to protect the riches he’d garnered, trying to find somewhere to hide it all that no one would ever find…,” Finn recalled, knowing the history well for one of the most infamous pirate captains to exist. The most exhilarating part of Flint’s story was the legend and lore that surrounded his reign, as it was said that he was capable of conquer distances unfathomable to sea travel, and no one ever knew how… Not even his crew…
Despite the blow that Vitus had dealt to the Dhelmise, the ghost type was far from willing to concede as it lunged forward with it’s seaweed tendrils, making quick work of swarming Vitus and wrapping the turtle in its tangled grip. The tendrils began to glow an eerie green, sapping Vitus’ life energy for its own. The turtle glowered again, struggling against the hold, trying to free himself, and struggling to remain conscious through his life energy being drained, but he took aim with one free cannon and let lose another bout of dark energy, and it struck the Dhelmise again in close proximity. The Dhelmise reeled at the force of the attack, and the seaweed tendrils that constricted Vitus trembled before letting his figure go, and the turtle fell and splashed into the water at being released. The anchor fell limp into the water, but the wheel remained lofting in the air, ragged and worn from its exertion in battle. Finn could have easily had Vitus finish the creature, sending it back into the depths of the sea back to its ship, but he wanted to know more about who it was, and what happened to the Walrein. He climbed his way up Thaedra’s back and onto her head, and motioned the serpent forward despite her animosity towards the hostile spirit. He could feel Bade there with him too, and her shadow loomed over them now as Finn moved forward still, but he wasn’t afraid.
”Spirit, hear me, I beg your pardon. I humbly request a parley,” Finn spoke out, apologizing to the Dhelmise. The ghost heaved a breath, turning to face Finn atop Thaedra’s head.
”A parley? What treachery do you wish, human,” the Dhelmise spoke then, and Finn could feel the animosity from the ghost, the way it spat the word ‘human’ at him.
”If knowledge is treachery, I’ll be properly hanged for my crimes. I wish to know of your fate to The Walrein,” Finn inquired. This seemed to catch the Dhelmise off guard, but it turned more to face Finn now.
”What does this knowledge mean to you,” it questioned then, though it’s tone was not hostile or aggressive now, instead it seemed to be at a sort of ease.
”In truth, I believe this to be a fated encounter. I myself am no more a whole being than you are… I know of your species, bound to the ships that you perished on, honoring a life at sea with your final breath. You used to be a living being, but now you struggle with the remnants of your mortality, just as I do…,” Finn spoke then, having never encountered a Dhelmise in his life, but ever since his own death, he now understood what it must be like to be harbored to a body that just didn’t feel quite right… The Dhelmise was silent for a moment, but seemed to take in Finn’s words, eyeing him with the compass that looked as though it were truly focused on him.
”How is it that you, a mere human, have come to understand mortality in such a way,” the ghost asked.
”I have died, I lost my mortality and was meant to cross over, but I was pulled away and placed back into my body by the ferrier of souls, Yveltal,” Finn answered, looking up to the sky above him, and the Dhelmise followed his gaze, finding Bade in the air above them. While all of this was taking place, Bade was searching in herself to find who this spirit used to be, and it wasn’t until she made eye contact with the Dhelmise that she found their soul, long lost to the world over two hundred years ago. She was young in her life cycle then… She hadn’t quite yet become prominent in her place in the world...
”I know your soul… Your fate was not supposed to end in you being bound to your ship…,” Bade commented solemnly… She couldn’t get to their soul in time to ferry it to the other side before it was too late…
”Aye… My fate is sealed… Has been for more than two centuries,” the ghost spoke then, though it was an acceptance of Bade’s apology, for now it was too late for her to change what had happened.
”Who are you to The Walrein,” Finn asked again, looking out to the ghost. There was silence for a few moments, save for the waves of the sea around them, but finally the Dhelmise began to speak, telling its story.
”My name was Groves, and in my life I was a Gallade. Flint was an unbalanced human who sought out power and fortune in every facet that he could and had built a fleet of ships in his infamy, but always wanted more. He had a Sableye amongst his crew, and when Flint encountered me, that wretched ghost imprisoned me on the ship, forever bound and hidden from the world. Flint demanded my power, my capabilities in teleporting in order to flee from pursuit and evade all eyes of those he targeted, thus building the legend that is still known of his reign,” the Dhelmise explained solemnly, and Finn could tell that these memories were still just as painful for it to recount, being able to recall them in vivid detail despite this being over two hundred years ago…
”Over time, Flint became unhinged, manic almost, and raved about protecting his treasure and the fortune he had built. He became distrusting, and eventually destroyed every ship of his fleet, and finally marooned the rest of his crew in a fear that they only sought to steal his riches. He vowed to hide his treasure, wanted to be the only one that knew where it was aside from his trusted Sableye, but kept me aboard for his travels. I was made blind to the rest of the ship’s sailing until a treacherous storm struck, and since there was no crew to man the ship, we were doomed. Flint was a coward then, abandoned ship in an attempt to salvage his own life… But I was still trapped there, forever imprisoned by that Sableye, and thus accepted my fate as the vessel succumbed to the power of the storm…,” the ghost finished, recounting his final moments in life before being bound to the ship for the rest of his existence, having to live with that pain, the imprisonment for centuries, never being able to be free again. Finn listened carefully to the ghost’s story, just as all of his Pokemon did, and he couldn’t believe the tale he had just been told. All of the legend and lore he had heard of the Walrein all made sense now, knowing that Flint was using teleportation to travel the lengths of the sea that he was, but Finn had no idea that the ship, and the reason for it’s capabilities had had such a tragic end…
”I cannot undo your fate… I apologize that I was not there to tend to your soul in death…,” Bade spoke first, being able to feel the Dhelmise’s pain.
”You’re generous in your words, I’d always heard tellings of the harbinger of death, but never imagined to be met with kindness,” the ghost admitted, glancing up to Bade above them.
”I cannot change your existence in the world, but would like to recompense for my absence those years ago. I can free you from your bonds to this vessel, you would be free from that prison,” the wyvern offered, hoping to make some amends for her mistake in the early parts of her life cycle.
”I would be eternally indebted to you,” the ghost remarked, unable to fathom what it would be like to be free for the first time in centuries.
”No debt to be paid,” Finn commented, earning the ghost’s attention.
”You’ve lived a life of servitude long enough. As a captain of my crew, I would never ask for a life debt for any mate” the pirate returned.
”Phineas is right, there is nothing we would ask of you,” Archimedes added, situated behind him on Thaedra’s back.
”Then I humbly request to become a part of your crew. I believe this to be a fated encounter as well,” Groves requested then, pulling in his anchor from the water below and turning fully towards Finn.
”Aye, we have an accord then,” the pirate agreed with a smile. Up until then, Aslan moved along the canyon ground, taking each new path that the canyon trenches could provide, and he and Emiri spent a bit of time conversing and getting to know one another. But, upon feeling that shift, that break in the energy around the canyons, Emiri knew that had to mean one thing, that the ghost’s powers had been dissolved. The white lion stood still, his ears poised and listening, and Emiri’s heart jumped at the sound of a familiar roar coming to her through the air, it was Charizard calling out to her.
Within moments, as Aslan rushed through the canyon trenches in an attempt to find a break, they came to an open spot and Emiri called out for Charizard, knowing she would hear her through the canyons. One by one Emiri’s Pokemon came up over the canyon walls, Charizard carrying Nimbus, Zapdos moving along with Flix in tow. Salamence bearing his new form with Lynno limp in his claws, and Cerian riding atop Ho-Oh’s golden feathers. And lastly Azuran came over the edge, Kovu’s wings draping over his sides, and Burst held himself atop Hantu’s back as they all landed one by one around Emiri. Nearly falling from Aslan’s back, the baby clutched in her arms, Emiri ran towards Charizard who came down to greet her, throwing an arm around the fire type’s neck. Her Pokemon gathered together, happy to see that each other had made it out alright, but knew that their fallen teammates needed to be tended to as soon as possible. Emiri took Nimbus, Kovu, and Lynno into their Pokeballs, and now that she had her pack with her on Charizard’s saddle, did offer one to Aslan whom had expressed his desire to travel with Emiri while they traversed through the canyons, and as quickly as their wings could carry them, Emiri and her Pokemon rushed to the small Pokemon Center that they had seen to the west upon traveling to this island.
Spending the evening there at the Pokemon Center, Emiri was relieved to learn that Kovu, Nimbus, and Lynno were all going to make full recoveries, their injuries and ailments during battle against those terrible ghosts hadn’t been too severe. It was fortunate, Emiri didn’t want to have to go through another recovery period so soon, not like Charizard or Kovu, or Venusaur or Rhydon whom had all encountered some of the worst injuries and situations they had come across. Emiri was thankful to know that they had all worked together, made sure to watch out for each other as they had been separated and made sure to defend each other and keep their teammates safe, and it really spoke to how strong their bonds together were, and how much they meant to each other. While there at the Pokemon Center, resting outside in the quiet of the night, Emiri learned that Aslan was actually the cause of the dimensional rift, as he was a Pokemon capable of traveling beyond this realm of existence. Emiri was shocked to learn this, she couldn’t have had any idea, but upon learning that Emiri had an interdimensional creature with her such as Burst, Aslan felt it necessary to divulge that information to her. Unfortunately, there had been a terrible disturbance in the dimensions beyond, which led to things like Burst ending up in their dimension, and when Aslan had traveled to Poni Island, he had only just barely made it. It was dangerous right now to be traveling between dimensions, things needed to settle, and Emiri felt fortunate that they hadn’t encountered the rift and made any kind of attempts to send Burst home… It could have ended terribly. Despite her wanting to send him home though, Aslan could tell already that the Blacephalon was adjusting and adapting to this new life on Earth, and he was pleased to see that the otherworldly creature was content and even happy with the human Emiri. That gave him even more contentment in his decision to travel with the young human while he rested and gained his strength back, and could see the potential of traveling with her for a time afterwards much like that of her other Pokemon.
It was early into the next morning now, Emiri and her Pokemon were rested and healed, and while Emiri had stepped into the Pokemon center after spending the night outside to make sure she had her supplies stocked and ready for heading… Well… heading somewhere… She heard a familiar voice come up on the television that was in the center. Emiri recognized it as Carrie Sunita, the lady that broadcasted important news when something was happening, and much to Emiri’s intrigue, it seemed that this was a call to begin another race around the world. That was something that she had done just a few years ago, traveling from Kanto to Kalos and everywhere in between, but now the Alola region and the Galar region were in on the event too, making it even more extravagant than it had been before. The last time she had done this, it was just so much fun… Getting to see new places, visit old places, and being together with her Pokemon. They bonded, spent the time together, and got to have such a great time, it was no question that she wanted to do it again. Slowly but surely she was feeling less and less burdened by the things that she had experienced, though their weight varied from day to day, but things like this, these wonderful memories that she could make with her Pokemon, those were the things that could keep those darkest parts at bay.
The Pokemon center that she was at had yet to receive any foot traffic being so far out from the main islands of the Alola Region, so Emiri didn’t have any fuss in registering and getting a little stamp book for herself, and collecting her very first stamp from the good Nurse Joy. It had been stated that there were one hundred and fourteen Pokemon Centers to visit now, a significant increase from the last time, but Emiri was confident in being able to reach them all. Coming out into the early morning to meet her Pokemon, Emiri shared the good news with them all, and before too much longer they were saddled up and ready to go. With the baby in her lap and a map set out in front of her, Emiri began to map out their world wide trip through the regions, on route to hit their next location already. Elfana Aroway Elfana was already liking Alola better than Kalos. Less walking, relaxing boat rides, an abundance of Water Types, and a relatively relaxing atmosphere made for a tolerable region. If only the sun would vanish for a while. She might be willing to say she enjoyed Alola. Her Pokemon weren't in the least bit bothered by the light. Before their boat had arrived in Seafolk Village, he had been soaking up the sunlight and enjoying the lovely ocean view. Kayuki and Walter were every bit as content as the Grass Type to sit out in the sun and enjoy the trip. Elfana and Haruka ended up being the only two that spent the boat ride to Seafolk Village inside. Their trip to the Pokemon Center ended up being a quick one. There was really nothing in Seafolk Village that could hold Elfana's attention. They collected their stamp and went to find a boat to their next destination. Their route through Alola wasn't as straightforward as she would have liked but given how little walking she had to do for the first little bit of the journey she could deal with that.Alola

 As her strength returned to her, Alice made her way between the boats lined up along the dock. Here and there she spotted something she wanted, but somehow she managed to keep her wits about her and not go broke. She had ways of making money, sure, but not enough that she could spend it willy-nilly.
"Excuse me, miss?" A voice interrupted her thoughts, and she followed the sound to a floating restaurant a few feet away. An old lady was smiling at her from behind the make-shift counter, and Alice could smell something delicious coming from the larger boat. "Sorry to both you, dear, but I was wondering if your little dragon there could help me? Our restaurant is called Dragon's Barge, but our poor Druddigon isn't feeling well today.. We'll pay you of course!"
Alice hesitated, however at the mention of being paid she quickly relented and flashed the old lady a smile. "Of course! We'd love to help." The old woman's eyes grew wide and she grinned happily at the news. "Oh perfect! Let's get to work little one!"
