While Deadeye was trying to turn his trainer into a perch, Rhea was attempting to figure out a way to meow at him without dropping her egg. She had accepted his challenge! She was gonna hold that little egg in her mouth for the whole trip if she had to! The Litten grinned as best she could, excited by the thought of their game. It was going to be so much fun! Deadeye had his beak and feet to hold his egg in but she was convinced she could do just as well with only her mouth to hold it in. If she had to she could always snuggle it with her paws while she was laying down too. That would give her mouth a break! She was so busy planning out how she was going to win the game that she didn't even notice when Venus picked her up and began carrying her along. Llorona Braithwaite Llonora's eyes narrowed on her brother's head while he spoke. If she must know? Of course, she wanted to know - he had disappeared with no explanation or any type of communication for eight years! It took just about all the willpower in her body not to start in on him for the caustic nature of his reply, but she managed it somehow while he continued to explain himself in the vaguest way possible. "Sinnoh huh? I erm- I heard good things about the region. Supposed to be pretty most of the year..." Small talk was a fickle thing indeed, but for the sake of saying she'd tried, Llonora would employ it to the best of her abilities. She wanted to question why he felt it neccesary to hide from them to such a degree but knew better than that, deciding against it for the moment in favor of jogging to catch up to Cyren so that they could walk side by side for a bit. There were a lot of land mines where this conversation was concerned, and she was bound to hit each and every one of them eventually... But in spite of herself, Llonora opted to take the high road just this one time, nudging him with her elbow while they walked and smirking. "You know, when you left I went through all of your stuff and took everything I could get my hands on. I slept in a few of your shirts for like three years. Mom and dad kept finding them eventually and taking them from me so I would wait until I was already in bed to pull my favorite out from between the mattress and put it on. Bruno was a good butler, he never told on me for that." Llonora smiled at the memory, truly happy with it for whatever reason. she was fond of the old man that had taken care of her in absence of both bother and parent, Sure he had been a creep but clearly the old man knew how to keep a secret since she still owned the oversized shirt to this day. When the Rowlet landed on Cyren's shoulder and brought her back from her trip down memory lane, she patted the Pokeballs on her belt, counting them one after another until she knew they were still all there...unfortunately. The reminder of her father's Pokemon was unnerving in every way, she didn't want it at all but here it was. "H-hey! Can I ask you one more thing?" She spouted quite suddenly after perking up, even before she knew how she wanted to phrase the simple question. Even the worst things could lead to good ideas in the right situation. Once Deadeye was on Cyren's shoulder comfortably he nuzzled the human's neck appreciatively, hopping a bit so that he could face around behind the male and watch Rhea. "I'm gonna win!" He stated cheerfully, his head rocking back and forth while he held the egg for the litten to see. The way he saw it, Rhea would have to eat eventually and when she dropped her egg he would win! Owls were known for standing on one foot so he could always be sure to hold it no matter what! When Venus stepped in and lifted the Litten for a ride - Deadeye almost considered calling her a cheater. Almost. One glance down reminded him that he too was receiving a ride, one that he hoped lasted longer than his trip on Llonora's shoulder the day before. 'I wonder when she will let me sit with her again.' He thought glumly, craning his neck a bit while the two humans conversed amongst themselves. He had to keep trying. This morning was a mistake that he would learn from until his trainer came around because Rhea was right! She was weird but things could still work themselves out if he just kept winning fights - she definitely liked it when he won fights! When Rhea noticed she was being carried she considered struggling for all of five seconds before going completely still. This could work in her favor. She could relax and focus on holding her egg instead of trying to keep up with the trainers. Venus was keeping up with them without any difficulty even though she was carrying the Litten. 'Machop are really strong.' Rhea thought to herself, using her paws to adjust the egg in her mouth so she could hold it in a more comfortable position. Eventually she was going to have to figure out another way to hold the egg. Her mouth was going to end up getting sore if she tried to hold it all day. 'Maybe I can grip it with my paws?' She placed both of her paws against the egg, keeping a tight grip on it as she pulled it from her mouth. The Litten smiled happily and purred, nuzzling Venus. Llorona BraithwaiteWhile they walked Llonora came to the strange conclusion that she had absolutely NO idea what she had thought it a good idea to tell Cyren about the random story involving his things. Sure, to her it would always hold a bit of a special spot but honestly, she doubted he cared all that much either way. He had grown and decided to leave without a trace. If he wanted his things he would have taken them with him, right? "Part of the reason...? Eh, Never mind. I'll take your word for it...One day when I get what is coming to me I will be able to take business trips all over Unova and beyond. Wherever I wanna go, I will go and no one will be able to stop me! Maybe even the Sinnoh region one day." While she spoke, Llonora spread her arms wide in a very y gesture, staring off into space while she tried to even imagine the life she would have once this trip finally ended and she could get back to the task at hand. 'Nothing is gonna stop me dad. I'm going to take the whole world if I have to.' She thought, crossing her arms over her chest quickly when he petted her. Needless to say, the gesture was enjoyed whether she admitted it or not, a light pink filling her cheeks that she prayed was nothing more than access sunlight. "He invented creepy Cy. And Erm..." She tried to find the best way to phrase her question in such a manner that it didn't come across as desperate or overly sensitive. Regrettably by the time the woman found the right words she was interrupted by what could only be described as a typical scumbag in a motorized vehicle, her body swinging around childishly so that she could walk backward. "Sounds like someone is overcompensating!" She yelled over the growing roar of their vehicles. Watching not one but two motorcycles round the bend and close in, Llonora waved her arms in a simple warning gesture - a gesture that was completely ignored as the drivers swerved seemingly on purpose, going around either side of their group and leaving a rather irritating cloud of dirt and dust in the air that spun her around. They hadn't hit anyone but they certainly had come close! While she cursed under her breath, the female growled, coughing into one hand while the other raised in another gesture - this one much less friendly. "Stupid assholes!" She yelled, knowing they had not heard a word she had said over their bikes... But they did stop anyway just ahead, the revving of engines while the dust settled causing her to cringe at the two large figures staring back at them. If their expressions were taken into account, neither of them appeared friendly... Llonora had made a terrible mistake. Menacing was actually perhaps the better phrase for just how pissed off the pair looked at what she could only assume was as a result of her flipping them off for their rude behavior. As Cyren placed the Rowlet on her shoulder, Llonora took a step back - She wasn't a coward but in this particular instance it came naturally to her to stay behind Cyren's much larger frame. There was no point in being stupid...More stupid than she had already been. "They definitely aren't just stopping for a break. Be careful?" She muttered, peeking around behind him and wincing at the flying scorpion pokemon one of the men had set upon them. 'At least they don't have guns?' She thought, watching her big brother while he seemed to contemplate his options. The Gligar looked about as friendly as either of of two men, so she half expected Cyren to send his Litten, the small cat had really proven itself already and seemed like the best choice to her. Of course, Cyren was not taking this nearly as seriously as Llonora would have liked, a half groan escaping her when the panicked Kabuto scattered free of its Pokeball and pretty much set out to embarrass them. At least if the men laughed themselves up enough they might decide not to bother with their group? The events of the very short battle seemed to play out in slow motion for Llonora, her green eyes taking on a slight tinge of respect for her brother the instant the Gligar fell from the sky in record time. Needless to say, she immediately began to 'fan girl', her hands clasping together with a wide grin despite how completely awkward the actual fight had been. "Holy crap! Hahaha! That was terrible, you two are the worst!" Laughing aloud in amusement over the rather unhappy expressions of the men, she continued on for several moments until realizing that only one of them really looked all that discouraged... the other one just looked kinda focused on something... "B-bat!" Half screaming while the Rowlet leaped from her shoulder and knocked the very oversized Golbat away before it could tackle either herself or Cyren, Llonora hissed - Of course they were upset, but that was no reason to be sore losers! With a growl, she considered unleashing the tiny feathered menace on the new opponent only to realize the poor thing was clearly seeing stars after colliding with their enemy. "Okay, I can do this! Stumpy! It's time to go to work!" She called, tossing the completely wrong Pokemon and reddening when her Roggenrola appeared before her looking every bit as confused as she was. One moment, she was napping. The next, she was standing in the dirt. This was a good day for the rock type, she liked dirt. What she did not like was being called the wrong name! The Roggenrola known as Pebbles seemed to shuffle about before its trainer frantically - more than a little upset at her. Not only had she called her the wrong name but this was the first time she had called on her at all! "No matter." The small Pokemon stated plainly. Llonora couldn't understand her and if Deadeye was any indication of the type of trainer she was, the rock type had a lot of work to do. shuffling along the ground slowly, pebbles took to staring at the Golbat in whimsical amusement - this poor thing had no idea what was about to happen to it. When the bat seemed very insistent at first about attacking from a range, Pebbles was almost impressed. It knew what would happen to it if it came down to fight in close quarters. But the Roggenrola seemed to take the flying stars in stride, waiting until the barrage was finished to jump side to side happily as if asking for more. This, of course, was a ploy - they definitely hurt! But the Golbat fell for it anyway, hissing as it swooped down to try and hit her with its body. The results were as expected, Pebbles keeping its composure even if very hurt when the Golbat was knocked unconscious and returned by its trainer. "Caught between a rock... And a hard place." He scolded, every bit as y as the trainer behind him who hadn't done a whole lot of anything seemed to be now that he had won and the bikers were running for the hills. Round One... Llorona BraithwaiteAs usual, any amount of adrenaline-fueled excitement took more of her breath away than a day worth of walking, the female taking a moment to catch her breath in the wake of their victory. She didn't bother to hide the bit of light pink on her cheeks nor did she mind the almost comical sparkle in her eyes. They had won! "God, What a rush! Did you see how fast those guys took off? They won't be able to tell anyone about what just happened here!" Llonora rambled on for several moments before she remembered she did have a Pokemon to tend to, running over and falling to her knees, against her better judgment, so that she could hug the small rock type. "You are just encourageable!" She half squealed, the Rowlet behind her rolling his eyes so hard that they nearly fell out of his skull. How had she not known just how strong Pebbles was?! The Golbat had hit it at least three or four times dead on and she just took it all in stride... Sort of. Upon inspection, Llonora frowned when she noted that the Roggenrola had physically begun to chip and crack, some of them too deep to be ignored. Once she had taken out one too many potions and sprayed the little thing to the point where it almost appeared damp, she tossed the remaining bottles back into her bag and sat back to watch and ensure that the healing was working. "Huh? What prediction?" For once being so concerned for one of her pokemon, Cyren's statement had gone completely over her head. She had nearly forgotten the topic completely. "Well... Erm... You see.." Straining just a bit as her small frame lifted the Roggenrola into her arms, Llonora grinned at Cyren from behind the safety of her Pokemon and shrugged absently. She really wanted to know the answer, but in her good spirits, she was certain she might not like the answer he gave. "Eight years you go missing, you missed everything. The Family holidays.. my prom and graduation, dad's funeral. And then suddenly you appear as if nothing happened. I guess I was just sorta curious about what could have been so important that you paused your new life just to escort me across some weird region for a stupid gym challenge...Eh, T-L-D-R, why did you come back Cyren?" When the Rowlet fluttered to her shoulder, Llonora didn't bother to scold or try to remove him. Llorona BraithwaiteEven after the head trauma the little Owl had suffered as a result of headbutting the much larger Pokemon, Deadeye had managed not to drop his egg - though this was largely for the same reason that he had not dropped it when he was certain his beak had fallen open in the sight of Llonora's behavior regarding the Roggenrola. "I think it's stuck." He managed around the ticking item, shaking the last of his dizziness away while he tried to understand just how stuck it was. Surely it would be hard to eat with the item holding his mouth open?! But at the same time, he knew that his species could easily go several days without eating so long as the Rowlet was sure to take in ample amounts of sunlight. 'Venus will get tired eventually..' He spoke with narrowed eyes on the tag team he was now very much deadset on beating. He would win once and for all and prove to Llonora somehow that he was a good pokemon! "Games are strange. Why play them when you can battle?" The Roggenrola seemed a little irritated by the fact that it had been completely doused in the potion. Yet she did not struggle in Llonora's arms, whatever was in those bottles was healing her up no problem! "Part of it?" This did not surprise Llonora at all. As her dad used to say - things were never simply black and white, but a delicious shade of grey. She shuffled a bit when he spoke of missing the graduation, her shoulder's slumping a bit at the memory. Llonora had set her hopes too high when she had half expected him to be in the crowd the day she finished school - and to finally hear it put so simply as it 'not working out as planned' did not do much for her mood. While he continued to explain his reasoning, the female held the Roggenrola up idiotically, knowing her facial expressions were quickly cycling through several things she did not want her brother to see. Of course Cyren was getting something out of it. Why wouldn't he be? She shouldn't have been surprised and yet, the little girl in Llonora had almost hoped he would have at least had the balls to bold face lie to her and say he had done it simply to spend time catching up. When she set the Roggenrola down, the woman began to pat her dress clear of any remaining dust from the cloud the bikers had left in their wake, her expression as calm and neutral as the day he had left. "That makes sense. You never did like the family business." She stated flatly. She should never have asked. Retrieving her Pokeball and returning the Roggenrola, the woman in the black dress stepped past him and pointed down the road, not bothering to wait for an answer even while asking - "It's this way right? Let's get a move on if we want to get there sometime today." Llonora could be more than a bit dramatic with little provocation, anger, sadness, sarcasm - these were pretty basic concepts to her. But it wasn't all that often that she had to deal with actual emotions and conflicting ones at that. Her ten-year-old self wanted to believe what he said - that he had missed her and wanted to keep her safe on her travels. But the grown-up she was now knew better. Braithwaite's were takers. They never did anything without some form of gain and apparently, her free-spirited brother hadn't fallen as far from the tree has he seemed to think. Lady decided to teleport them again, but this time it worked out much better than the other times. They teleported to right where they needed to be. Fortunately the festivities were just kicking off. Why they were throwing Thomas a party he had no idea, but perhaps that was just their custom. Possibly they were just a people that liked to party and celebrate. If so he thought he wouldn't mind spending some time here in the Alola Region catching some surf and sun.
Looking around at everything, Thomas found himself grinning. It was brilliant! He was going to have a great time. He started drinking almost right away, accepting the drinks offered to him by the pretty ladies in traditional attire. Under the influence, he started flirting unabashedly with them. For all the luck he had, they might as well have been speaking another language. Eventually the host of the entire ordeal found him and welcomed him in his boisterous, jolly voice.
"I was wondering when you'd get here! Thought you might not show up at all. Glad you could make it. Please, enjoy, have fun." He insisted. Thomas thanked him and did just that. He found some food to snack on while he listened to the music and watched the ladies dancing. That part in particular was probably the best part of the whole thing. Just the way the Alolan Women moved was intoxicating. He could watch forever and never see his fill.
A couple hours later when Thomas was good and tipsy, Hala took to the stage and announced that it was time for the main event of the evening. "Thomas, come on up!" He called out, scanning the crowd. Stupidly thinking he'd won some sort of prize, he climbed up onto the stage. "Please stand over there." He pointed, and Thomas moved to take the indicated spot. For a while, nothing else happened. Thomas stood there trying to figure out what was happening and why everyone was just staring at him.
Just as he was about to say something, the ground shook. He steadied himself, hand instinctively reaching for his belt. It was an instinct honed from the countless traumatic events of his past, but it was honed to such perfection that he now moved like a man completely sober. The tree nearest the stage began to shake violently. Limbs snapped and fell, and a Mankey jumped out of the shadows of it's upper branches. When it landed, the stage shook as though in an Earthquake attack.
This Mankey was HUGE. H'd seen normal Mankey before, and this thing towered over them. Hell, it towered over him. Not even knowing which of his Pokemon he was sending out, he threw out a Pokeball and it released the Butterfree he'd caught aaages ago yet had worked with very little. "Get rid of that thing!" He called out in a panicked sort of voice. Butterfree's eyes began to glow. Mankey struck once, but was then lifted up and flung bodily back into the tree where it came from. It hit so hard that it was knocked out on impact.
Hala laughed and clapped Thomas on his shoulder. Thomas jumped, not having expected it or even realized Hala was so near. "Good job beating the totem Pokemon, though I expected you to have more trouble with it. Whadd'ya say, let's battle!" Thomas, completely unaware that he was agreeing to a Gym Battle, agreed and sent out Sirfetch'd. Hala sent out a Makuhita. The two faced off at once.
Makuhita used Arm Thrust but Sirfetch'd blocked with his shield. Makuhita continued throwing blows until he struck solid bird at last. Sirfetch'd was thrown up by the force of the hit. Then, completely surprising both Thomas and Hala, he angled himself at Makuhita with his sword aimed and ready then shot at him like he was fired from a cannon. The impact was so severe that Makuhita couldn't move a single muscle after. Hala looked stunned.
Stunned or not, he returned his defeated Pokemon and sent out a Crabrawler next. Thomas returned Sirfetch'd and smiled at Butterfree, who was fluttering nearby. "Ready? Let's take care of this like you did the Mankey, okay?" Butterfree trilled excitedly and flew onto the field. Crabrawler couldn't fly, obciously, so the Pokemon resorted to throwing things Some rocks and sticks made contact, but most missed. Butterfree flew up to Crabrawler and the butterfly's eyes glowed again. Crabrawler doubled over in pain, then collapsed. Whatever Thomas' Pokemon had done using those psychic powers, it wasn't visible to the others. TL;DR

gravity_resistant  Island Kahuna HalaHala had been a bit surprised by the defeat. He knew the strength of a Sirfetch'd and it must be strong for it to evolve in the first place, but it had been quite a minute before his Pokémon were defeated by a Bug Type. Now, Hala doesn't count any Pokémon out, but being beat to this extent was surprising to him. The festivities around the stage exploded with cheers and began to celebrate once more as the challenger succeeded. Hala wasn't going to ruin the celebration, he saw no need to. He marched his way across the stage with a wide grin under his large mustache. He stopped half way in a strong and proud stance to meet with the Challenger. "I know a strong trainer when I see one. I believe you belong farther in the league already, Hm?" He questioned with a hearty laugh. He pulled out the young man's rewards and held them out to him. "Hey, you one fair and square. But if you're ever near by, swing by and we have a real battle." He offered with a nod, and looking to his Pokémon with a wide grin giving them a nod as well. "I hope you stick around and enjoy the celebration. Especially now that you've won" He spoke to the challenger, it was always nice to have a new challenger in the town.Thomas has received: TM 08 Bulk Up +14 to Sirfetch'd +14 to Butterfree

Everything was quiet in the Alola region it seemed, even in Hau’Oli City where there was a whole bustle of people, it didn’t feel as constricted and overrun like some cities she had visited before. Perhaps it was the notion of being on an island, knowing that you could look out in almost any direction and see open skies and know you weren’t land locked? That could be why it felt quiet, but was definitely a reason why Emiri would only want to visit and not stay… The ocean was such a vast, terrifying expanse, and even flying over it, far far above it, she had to push past her anxieties about it.
All in all though, the region was beautiful, and as Emiri and her Pokemon moved to the central part of this island they were on, there was a small village that housed the next Pokemon Center on their list. It was quaint, much more rural with worn dirt paths and wooden homes and buildings, but it was charming and Emiri could understand why the people who lived there would love it so. She made her way to the Pokemon Center, the baby padding along with her as he sniffed along the ground, and stepping inside she was greeted to get her next stamp. Emiri thanked the Joy there and moved back out into the open, heaving the baby up into her arms as she climbed up to Charizard’s saddle. They were finished with the centers on that island it seemed, and had to move east to a much bigger island of the region. Elfana Aroway Iki Town might as well have been a collection of huts to her. While not as bad as Paniola Town, Iki Town was a special kind of awful. She hated small towns. There was a whole lot of nothing to do in them and she didn't care for the overly friendly attitude many small town locals tended to have. Anyone that was that friendly all the time was faking it. People were not naturally nice. For example, the overly talkative nurse she was attempting to convince to stamp her booklet. She had one job but instead she felt she needed to drone on and on, firing off one inane question after another. She had been making decent time until encountering the much too friendly nurse. Elfana tried to keep her temper in check but after five minutes of answering pointless questions she ended up snapping at the nurse. The conversation, thankfully, ended at that point. Her stamp was collecting and she continued on back to Hau'oli City. They had an hour and a half left- which was more than enough time if they hurried. Walter remained behind long enough to apologize to the nurse before Teleporting to catch up with Elfana. Not exactly the most pleasant note to end their Alolan adventure on but he was impressed she managed to get through three regions before snapping at a nurse. That was a lot better than he was expecting.Alola

Lucy, who had just gotten down from Salamence's back, was already looking impressed. "It looks.. so nice." She said in reply. "This is where I want to come back to as soon as we are done." The Nurse Joy of Iki Town was as nice as any of the others. She had Pokemon assisting her that Kira had never seen before. It was a Fairy-Type with a ring of flowers in hand. When the Pokemon passed by, no, floated by her, she could smell the flowery aroma and it was so soothing. She finally got a free moment to approach the Nurse and ask for a stamp. Alice walked down the main road of Iki Town, if you could call it a town. It was more of a splattering of small houses all linked to the one road, which seemed pretty dismal and more village-like than anything. It was a boring place, but might hold a few pokemon at the very least. She frowned but pushed forward, her crimson gaze shifting from side to side as she looked around for said pokemon.
Here and there she spotted pokemon among the squat houses, but none she held any interest for, at least not enough to capture. Who wanted a useless bug type or a baby pokemon? She needed something better than that!

As time passed and Alice found no useful pokemon, she felt her spirits take a dive. Was she being too picky? Surely a good trainer wouldn't just catch anything, right? She mulled over her thoughts and took a seat on a rock beside the road, Nyx sitting at her feet.
Alice eyed the weird pokemon. It followed her and obeyed, but every time she tried to touch it, it tried to bite her. It made no sense to her. As she stared at the fluffy thing it simply stared back, and on the creepy side, so did it's tail. Shuddering, Alice got back to her feet and continued on.

As Alice reached the limits of the town, she knew she had a choice to make. Stay within the town limits in her search, or give up and move on to... she pulled out a map and double checked what was around Iki town, her gaze landing on Route 2. The odds of finding a good pokemon was probably better there, where people were less common to scare them off. It took her only a moment to make her decision and continue onward towards Route 2, hoping she'd have better luck there..

MochaThe battle set for the grand trial, Hala was beaming beneath his mustache as the battle waned, and it was clear that the purple fox like Pokemon was a good match against his fighting types. The young girl seemed to be on a good path, and Hala nodded with great gusto as he deemed the battle over, and won by the challenger.
"The Trial has been completed! The challenger claims the Melemele Stamp," he announced as he moved forward.
"Congratulations on your challenge completion! Your Pokemon did well, but," he started as he glanced down to the Pokemon before returning his gaze to his young challenger.
"A Pokemon's natural instincts can only take them so far, if you plan to grow with your Pokemon and learn about them, you must become involved with their actions and learn to battle as one! Your Pokemon will count on you if a tough spot comes up, just like you would count on them if you were trying to over come something," Hala offered, knowing all too well what it meant to be able to train with and grow with one's Pokemon in such a way.
"Take our stamp as a next step to learning how to interact with your Pokemon, I'm sure that this can take you very far," he smiled, the old master always warm to pass along his wisdoms from life.

The town itself wasn't too appealing - compared to Malie City, it was a plain village. But, it did had professor's laboratory, and it's easy enough to access.. if Kukui's lab was located somewhere deeper, that wouldn't be fair to novice trainers, right? Well, she was a novice trainer, but she still felt better than the most. At least she wasn't a sniveling 12 years old!
But nonetheless, she walked by the worn out, dirty path towards the Pokemon Center - she wasn't hungry, and she doubted that her Pokemon was hungry either but she wanted to check her in there, in private. Who knows that will the Pokemon do? In the Pokemon Center at least she had some protection and might as well ask the nurse about.. something. Help maybe? Tips? A way to soothe the Pokemon?
All of those were possibilities. Fixing her dress, she walked upstairs to her room. It was small, but Clarissa wasn't going to stay here for too long anyways. Hau'oli City was just around the corner, and it was much bigger and richer than some village. Pushing those thoughts aside, she took the PokeBall out and withdrew her newly acquired Rowlet. The grassy owl landed on the bed, shaking her body and kneading the blanked with her tiny paws. She then looked up at her, blinking.
"Hi there. I'm Clarissa, your new trainer!" she hummed a greeting, looking at Rowlet. "I know it might be a bit confusing, but I hope we will get along!"
Well, that wasn't necessarily a lie - she wanted her Pokemons to listen to her, and for that she probably should treat them.. nice. Which won't be easy, as she doesn't know how to deal with them. And Rowlet glanced at her with something akin to disbelief, too. "Well, we can try, I guess. I need you to be strong and you need me for shelter and food. I think it evens itself out."
Now she spoke in a language that the Pokemon understood. Rowlet blinked at her and nodded, before turning her head towards the window. It was open with soft breeze made the curtains wave, and the weather was perfect for exploration. Not that she wanted to spend a lot of time in Iki Town, but it was better than nothing. "Your pretty smile is a monster, and your beauty is empty"

She left most of her stuff in the room, as she walked downstairs with Rowlet in tow. Since the first interaction went great, then surely that meant they will work together well! Now, she only needed to find her some opponent, to test her properly in a battle and they will be good to go.
The wind wasn't strong, and pleasant instead and the sky was clear. It was a perfect weather, and didn't seem like it will change anytime soon. Unless the night falls, but for now it was early. It wasn't still the most interesting place to explore though, and she looked around with disinterest. Strangely enough, her Pokemon seemed to share the sentiment - Rowlet preened feathers on her wings, as if from boredom. Or she just wanted to look pretty, one or the two. Both welcome.
"Eh, come on Angel, maybe we will find something in there." she called her Pokemon, barely holding back sarcasm. What an ugly place.
Rowlet chirped something in return, but then her head turned towards the bushes. Before Clarissa could even ask her what was that about (as if a Pokemon could reply her, ugh), Angel flapped her wings and flew towards them. Surprised, she ran after her, hoping she isn't getting in trouble.. or getting herself dirty already. But she then heard a Pokemon squeal and growl, and it was obvious she instigated a fight. "Oh, ferocious! I like that!"
Still, she had to see what exactly was going on, and she resumed the run towards the bushes. Hopefully she won't have to go too deep and none of the locals will see her running around like a madman.
Angel indeed was fighting a Pokemon, but it looked a bit weird - it was like a Rockruff, but lacking the pointy rocks and its fur was shorter. But it was also colored brown and gold, with unusual shine on it as well. It took her a moment to realize that whatever that Pokemon was, this wasn't its natural color, and instead it was a Shiny!
"Angel, wait!" Clarissa recalled her Pokemon to the PokeBall, not seeing other way of stopping Rowlet (other than placing herself between them, and she wanted to avoid it).
She then crouched in front of the canine Pokemon. It didn't look that badly beaten up - well, Angel was just a starter Pokemon with barely any to no experience yet. The Pokemon glanced at her with those weird, red eyes and began licking its fur flat. It was still standing out there and there, but it was very methodical and determined. And really pretty.
"Aren't you just a cute little thing? Do you have a trainer?" she hummed, reaching with her hand at the Pokemon. It flicked its ear and sniffed her reluctantly, but shook its head and returned to the grooming. Oh, that was just perfect then! "Well, if that's the case, then I would like you in my team! I can then help you with your fur, too."
The Pokemon was skeptical, but eventually gave in and made a slight nod. That was enough for her to take an empty PokeBall and touch Pokemon's forehead, officially claiming it was her own. And now she had two, on the first day too! "Your pretty smile is a monster, and your beauty is empty"

That went surprisingly well. A Pokemon journey shouldn't be that hard, then, if she got two Pokemons in one day.. under one hour too! And two pretty ones at that, too. Clarissa was so sure the luck was on her side today.
Feeling confident, she walked back to the Pokemon Center with her head high. Oh how badly she wanted to leave this village and more some place bigger, prettier and richer. And maybe get some more cute, good Pokemons on the way too. That was a possibility - she can't be a trainer without a big team, after all.
Rissa took her bag and handed the nurse keys to the room back. The woman didn't look too surprised - probably a lot of people passed the town hastily and were never seen again. Sure, Iki Town did held the Trial, but that was it (and, well, Kukui's lab). But she didn't want to challenge Alolan League - she wanted to breach out and find her own calling, on a different region. Where exactly, she didn't know yet, but that didn't matter yet. For now, she send out both of her Pokemons to keep her company as she turned towards the Route 2.
