 Hello, This is Pepper Olsen with Dragonite News Broadcasting, chiming in to bring an update on the Island that we have only heard stories about, and now we get to see it! Sitting very far off of the coast of the Galar Region, 'Fossil Discovery Island' is finally opening it's ports to the Public! The scientists here are planning a grand opening and allowing a select group of people in to view it's wonders! This list has been selected amongst the elite, Gym Leaders, Professors, and trainers alike that will be getting a very special and exclusive early entry! We had hoped to get an interview with the Scientists and Professors that helped build this island and spear headed the ground breaking discovery of this island, But as you can guess they are very busy keeping the island running and making sure the Pokemon here are comfortable and happy. But! You will not believe what they have in store for those visiting the island. Games, sights, rides, research, and safe one on one encounters Pokemon you cannot see anywhere else! This place as something for everyone! Please, come and enjoy the hospitality and grand opening of this amazing Island! Things to keep in mind!:-This is going to be a story lined event! -This will most likely be one of our longer events so please make sure that you are prepared for this. There is no determined or estimated length at this time. However we will be ensuring that you and your characters are having fun the entire time. -The story-line will be up to rating PG-13. -This event will take place in it's own new thread, away from the main roleplay. You would be able to leave at any time, but there is a chance you may not be able to return during the story line. -This will be a progressive linear story-line, so if you fall inactive unfortunately you may be left behind and there is a small chance you may be removed from the story. However we will work with you the best we can depending from situation to situation. -This event will have the a very fun and new requirement to it! You will be selecting 3, and only 3, Pokemon to come per trainer. There will be more information on this to come! -There is no limit on how many characters that can participate. -There will be opportunity for Cannon NPC interaction. -This is the interest thread for this up coming event, so please ask any questions, if you have them. We might not be able to answer all questions too straight forward, but we will answer to the best of our abilities. Please ask away! -Please let us know if you intend on sending any characters, and which ones, so we can plan the event accordingly. However this will not be setting it in stone, you can change your mind. -We don't have an exact date to start, we need to gauge interest and plan accordingly, however we are planning for the next couple of months in the near future. Paradisity and I may have been a little eager when announcing the event. However, it seems while building the event, as well as our outside lives and work lives have progressed, it doesn't seem exactly possible for her and I to start the event as soon as we have originally intended. We never would want to start something, and leave everyone hanging because we could not keep up with the event. So, that being said, we might be hosting this event a little bit later than we had originally intended. We just wanted to keep you all in the conversation and so you don't feel forgotten. So I would expect an update more towards summer time.

We wanted to announce the official date of when Fossil Discovery Island's ports will be open! Their gates will be open on Saturday, June 11th. This gives you over a month to tie up loose ends, make your final decisions on your 3 attending Pokemon, and get there! You still have time to change the Pokemon you've picked, as well as let us know the ones you select. But, these 3 Pokemon have to be at the correct obedience level for the trainer upon arrival of the event!
