He called her a sight for sore eyes, which definitely rose her mood quite a bit. She'll never state that she looks bad, but she couldn't in all honesty say that she looked good at the current moment. With a bit of adjustments of course, she could pull off the sexy wet look, but after everything she had been through she just didn't care to. But Finn had said the right thing. "Aren't I always?" She replied shrugging one of her bare shoulders. Vale soon got himself up and joined their conversation. Ridley was not upset, or threatened by him joining. She didn't think Vale would steal any attention from her. Not the attention she liked at least. Ridley had spent her time on the Barge with Briar, and keeping out of the way. She hadn't paid any attention to the commotion up in the control room area. So after hearing Vale comment that he had stopped the fight, she let out an amused gasp. "Well aren't you just a little hero." The blonde teased in a flirtatious way. But Vale was quick to pick up on their familiarity with each other, which pulled Ridley's focus to her new companion. It was true, they had met with each other quite a few times already. "We do, we always run into each other in the most sucky circumstances." She explained continuing her playful tone, but in all honesty, every time she had been with Finn she had gotten hurt or traumatized. Having to battle the ultrabeasts, or having to fight that monster of a person Raphiel in that mansion. That was a nightmare she would love to forget. She had to shake away those memories and was pulled back to focus as Vale introduced himself. She waved a hand at him, in an attempt to shush him, frowning her brows at him as if he had gottne his own name wrong. "This is Cupcake," She began, holding her arm out with her once perfectly manicured nails to Vale. Then moving to gesture towards Finn, "And this is Boyfriend." She spoke confidently. She never said that this was her boyfriend, But stated this as if his name was just 'boyfriend.' But it would seem as if the fun times were over as the sand began to shift under her. Ridley stumbled a bit in her high heeled boots in the sand. Walls began to erupt and rocket out of the sand and form solid rock around them, trapping them in. Followed by the roar of a beast as it began to climb over the side of the wall it had created. "What ungodly creature have they created again" Amma commented more so to herself as the beast began into the area they were now trapped in. The ghost moved but Ridley stopped her. She wanted to keep the ghost near her and Vale if they needed protection from another attack like Blizzard. She pulled out another Pokeball and let out Esme. The Gothitelle looked up to the beast and leered back at Ridley. "Where are you finding these beasts?" Esme questioned in her overly posh accent. "I told you, Fossils and Beasts are OUT!" She called out but Ridley ignored the psychic.
Jessica was confused at the Quilava's panic of being crowded, but if he was feeling nervous she didn't want to exacerbate it. But the trainer seemed pleased to hear from her, stating that the Rufflet's name was Oryx. But shortly after the area erupted in walls around them. Jessica followed the walls path around them, as a bellowing roar filled the air. Some thing began to climb the wall and join them within the walls seemingly it created. The large canine called for her to help the redhead escape, which she in turn was asking for an escape herself. Jessica moved forward and helped the redhead get to her feet. "Okay sugar, lets get up and make our way to the wall." She spoke gingerly, her voice still calm and smooth despite the current situation. "I don't see any way out, but lets see if I can make one." She explained helping her to the nearest rocky wall as if the trainer allowed. She was not concerned with Ridley, knowing Amma would keep her save, and it seemed that she wasn't concerned either. "I think that Floette belongs to you," Jessica offered maybe hoping to calm the trainer a bit. maybe she hadn't recognize the Pokemon from what could only be described as a battle cry.[Esme 250/250] Where: Ballroom.

His boots, while wet, were perfect for the terrain, all of this ocean and sea water and sandy beaches were what he thrived on, it was familiar territory for him. So not once did he falter in the shifting sand or stumble with his wet clothes, it was almost as if he looked comfortable in a strange way. The two water types moved along with him, Vitus lumbering through the sand and Osilvey hopping along in some of the divots that were already there, and the little water skipper almost sparkled as it were with the sand that clung to his smooth, wet body, speckled with it.
Coming closer to Ridley, pleased to see her, Finn glanced towards another figure moving towards them in tandem, a male about his height, perhaps around his own age, with striking purple hair that already seemed to be acquainted with Ridley. He regarded Finn as someone who tried to help the woman Grace from being tossed overboard during a mutiny, and frankly it was nice to hear that there were at least other people on the side of not completely deranged. Finn was still disgusted by the likes of those who were so quick to turn their backs on basic humanity for no good reason, even if this trainer hadn’t done anything to step in when it mattered at the time, to know the decision was supported was nice.
”Aye, mutiny is a dire act, not much good in it though when there’s no meaning behind it,” the pirate spoke then, speaking from experience, but that was neither here nor there, especially as he felt Bade push at his consciousness. No point in digging up that mutiny was the beginning of his death.
”An intervention was necessary. To do nothing would have been a death on all our heads, those who took no action would have been just as responsible as those who did,” Finn returned, he by no means was going to sit by and watch someone lose their life, especially when he had such a patron as the ferrier of souls along with him. The seriousness of the potential murder was passed over though as the violet haired male commented on Finn and Ridley already knowing each other.
”That we do, not from the best circumstances, but its always good to see a familiar face,” Finn smiled, knowing that he and Ridley together had been through a lot of things and fought for their lives, that definitely brings two people together in a way that cannot be ignored. The male introduced himself, and Finn would have done so in kind, but Ridley was quick to hop in, always the conversationalist. Finn didn’t flinch at her name calling, she’d referred to him as ‘boyfriend’ from nearly day one when they’d met in the Hoenn Region, it was nothing new to him, but he did have a right proper name.
”Aye, Ridley, a man has a right to his proper name. Phineas, is my name, but call me Finn. No need to be long winded about it,” the pirate returned, he didn’t admonish Ridley at all for her nicknames, his tone was light, playful even, but he did want to make a true introduction, Valentine seemed nice after all, no point in being strange about an introduction.
”Though let me know if ‘Cupcake’ if preferred, hmm? Want to make sure we get the name calling right,” Finn laughed a bit, he couldn’t help it with some of the more… interesting nicknames Ridley chose.
Things were light, and quiet for a moment, and Finn remained in conversation with Ridley and Valentine, but Bade kept a close watch behind his eyes. She eyed the Palkia still, just keeping tabs, and at the moment that the dragon shifted, she too felt something off around them.
”Phineas, something is amiss,” the wyvern tried to say, but no sooner had the Palkia made its move to pick up Valentine, the sand beneath them began to shift and shake as a rocky wall shot up from the ground beneath them, encircling them all entirely. Finn had no idea what was going on, he stumbled a bit as the ground shook beneath his boots but otherwise maintained his footing, finding the walls enclosed around them and shrouding the trees and forest and lagoon from sight. He’d been mostly taken aback by the abrupt movement of the Palkia as the large deity moved and took up Valentine in its arms, which was a bit of a shock. So the deity was tied to Valentine? At least he had to assume, much like Bade was with him, though it didn’t seem that the pair had much experience with each other yet…
”We’ll have words if you ever manhandle me like that,” the pirate spoke for Bade to hear.
”Then keep your wits about you and don’t give me a reason to. Look,” Bade hissed then, and Finn followed her feeling to the top of the rocky wall around them, where a monstrous figure was starting to climb up and over the wall that he could assume this creature was responsible for. It roared at them, vicious fangs and spikes and armored plates all poised, and Finn was certain that this was of no Pokemon he’d ever seen before, not even at his parent’s museum.
There was little that any of them could do in that moment except for prepare, they were entirely surrounded and needed to start forcing their way either over or through the rocky walls while fending off the ferocious beast. Vitus moved forward, cannons bared and aimed, but Finn moved forward.
”Vitus, take aim for the walls, once the beast is distracted, lets see if your cannon fire is enough to break us free,” the pirate ordered, knowing that of any of his Pokemon, Vitus’ powerful cannons were probably as good as anything to try and break down the walls around them.
”What’s my order captain,” Osilvey called from below, standing next to Finn’s boot, and the pirate smiled down at the young water skipper.
”Prepare for battle Osilvey,” Finn nodded, giving the order for the Mudkip to step into battle. White Prince Of Wonderland Elfy sharkeep rooker MochaGrasping the top of the rocky enclosure that it had made, the monster had started to climb over the rock wall to get close to its prey. Its back legs and claws scratched and scd at the stone as it made easy work with its clawed arms getting to the top, and it wasn’t long before it was starting to make its way over and down. Broken rock from the top of the wall showered down upon those trapped in the enclosure, sprays of sand at every rock that fell coming up from the ground, and the comparatively tiny thing that was clung to the Nidoking’s face was the first to brunt the blows of the rocks as the Nidoking climbed down. Rocks came down on its scaled and armored face, but did little to deter it since it was built like a rock itself, and as such there was a heavy thud as it came to jump down to the sandy ground beneath its feet.
The monster roared again and leered at the largest Pokemon of the group by far, the Palkia, and was ready to square up. The spikes on its back scratched the rock wall behind it, it’s giant clawed feet thrashed in the sand, and its long and heavily spiked tail swung wildly with each movement, creating no safe space on the ground below. The monster growled with open maw, showing its razor fangs, and swung its head with its prominent horn as it made its stance. One of its large clawed arms pulled back, and coated in a purple, bubbling energy, it moved to swing heavily at the Palkia for a strike, beginning the fight for its prey.

He less thought it him to be heroic, and more impressed that someone actually bothered helping the person almost everyone was mad at. It seemed like a good way of getting caught by the mob as well, in the crossfire, and yet. The best he did was yell that they shouldn't feed the Lapras human meat (yet) and.. well, it still probably happened. He didn't care nearly enough for Grace to actually move and help her, and besides.. he was with Rhienne. He could multitask only that much, alright. He had alibi in case anyone asked.
Pushing Ridley's tone aside, the man reacted well to this half-assed attempt at starting a conversation. Really, he lacked more coherent ways and he did want to start one.. or at least get his attention. The way he was speaking was kind of unusual, or his accent rather. But to be fair, Vale was a kalosian and they usually had the weirdest accents, too. Especially when agitated.
"True. I can understand being frustrated with Grace, but she still knew more about our escape route than anyone. Tossing her away like wouldn't just doom her, but us as well. Besides, there are bigger fishes than her behind the mess, I'm sure of it." now he kept to himself how he would like to toss people out of the barge too, but only those that particularly annoyed him. Which so far was one person, but still. Which was still kind of funny, since his 'job' was to save lives, not take them - except sometimes it was more helpful to make the death come quicker and easier. "Well, in the end she is still gone, but that's a different story."
Again, they didn't knew that. And now it wasn't like they could ask anyone about it. As far he was concerned, she didn't wash up on this side of the beach, and there might be possibility of her making out on other part of the island.
There was definitely a story between them, one that he wasn't sure if he wanted to know. They seemed to be at good.. or at least positive terms, but if the circumstances weren't the best and some situations crappy, then who the hell knows if it was always the case. But hey, at least they weren't glaring at each other or worse, so. He could deal with it. "Sucky situations can get a little less sucky in a good company."
They can also get a lot worse in a bad company. Like he experienced before, and even few hours ago. But those two seemed so far most tolerable, along with Marcellus and Rhienne. He had no strong opinion on anyone else, even those girls he met in aquarium.
"I can be Cupcake too, no problem." Vale chuckled, tipping his head. Her reaction kind of amused him, as she clearly tried to take lead in the conversation. Cute, but she is very mistaken if she thinks he will just step down - Ridley is lucky he isn't in the best of moods and conditions, or else she would have competition. "Still a lot better than most of many other nickname I got over the years. At least it's very sweet."
Alright, so she more or less confirmed that there is something going on, or she wants something to go on and is purposefully leading him away. He doubted it was just a joke, even though Finn reacted with light tone. Fine, he can live with that. It wasn't like a good time for anything anyways. But she can't just tell him to not look or interact with Phineas, that he will not agree with. No one can tell him what to do when it comes to interacting with people.
"Well, I hope you don't mind if I won't call you a Boyfriend. It's fun but I don't think it's appropriate for me to say. I will stick to Finn, if that's okay." he still managed to point out. And then everything went to hell. But hey, it was nice while it lasted.
He was definitely not a fan of how Oberon was handling him and he would be more than happy to complain about it, but.. well, it didn't seem like the time was appropriate. They were suddenly forced into a 'box', created by a giant Nidoking who was clearly on a hunt. Deep down he was grateful, of course, that his Pokemon is going on such lengths to protect him, but really, in front of people? He can handle himself just fine, thanks you.
"That's definitely new for them." he grumbled, as he fixed his position and clothing and checked the bandage if it was still fine. Thankfully the sudden uplift and then drop off didn't disturb it. "Usually they just shove themselves between me and the danger. Not manhandle me."
Kind of funny how they didn't seem to be too bothered by Palkia's presence. Vale was more used to people making a big deal out of it and have questions, which as a result made him a bit hesitant to be open about 'possessing' them. Not too an impossible level of course, he had used them to intimidate people before and battle too, even in gyms, so. But he was getting tired of the torrent of questions and weird looks. So having people being confused but chill with it was a welcome change. If confusing for him too.
"Are you people just used to seeing Pokemons from legends, or am I missing something." he still asked. He is definitely new to this business, and he had been a trainer for.. maybe more than half a year. How the time flies, and then again he spend most of the time at home, either recovering from getting stupidly injured or getting stupidly injured. "It wasn't in my plans for future to find one, let alone command it, I will say just that. But it's definitely not that common, is it?"
Still, he appreciated that Amma and the Blastoise remained somewhat close to them. Strength in numbers, or something. But even if Oberon was the hugest and probably well equipped to meet the Nidoking in direct combat and he didn't worry that much, there was one person that seemed to struggle the most. And no, he didn't meant the red-haired girl with bandaged head - there was obvious huge canine with her. No, he meant another woman with two small Pokemons, that barely managed to reach their group. She seemed to be prepared the worst for such situation. If he wasn't mistaken, she was one of the special guests with Roxanne and Clemont.. but definitely not a gym leader. A Pokemon professor? He probably missed the memo. But that didn't meant they couldn't spare some of their defenses, at least for someone a region would definitely miss. Professors were just as important.
"Caspian, cover her." Vale said to his Pokemon, nodding his head towards Sonia. Hisuian Samurott seemed to be uncertain about the idea, but he gave him a stern, tired look and he obliged, carefully stepping towards the woman. He tried to show her that he had no bad intentions and wanted to give her some protection, even though Oberon ordered him to 'hold' their trainer instead - but Caspian would rather argue with the Palkia than their trainer, really. Besides, they still had Amma and the Blastoise. The woman with Wooloo had.. well, a Wooloo and a Yamper. It was putting her in a considerably worse position. Hopefully she won't be too scared of his appearance - other people kept giving him weird looks, and he started to feel uncomfortable about it.
With their gaze locked on the opponent, it took them a moment to notice other, much smaller Pokemons joining the front. In a way, it bothered Oberon - with the exception of Gothitelle, all of those Pokemons were very easy to miss and they could accidentally step on them. And that included the flying Rufflet and Floette, who could as well get in their way. The humans were also in danger of being trampled over, but the best they could do now was push the giant Nidoking back to the wall, away from people. To their credit, the attacker took aim at Palkia first, recognizing them as more 'worthy' opponent, standing in a way of its meal.
They straightened their stance as the Nidoking roared and swung their head around, trying to assert its dominance and then striked them heavily with Poison Jab, making them jerk slightly. It hurt, there was no lying about that, but despite that they didn't move an inch and held their position, as the purple sludge slid off their scales effortlessly. The raw power of the Pokemon did worried them, though, as it might prove itself too strong for even them to deal with. At least alone.
"We are really out of practice." they grumbled before flaring their 'wings' open and roaring, matching the beast. Their pearls began shining brightly, and a matching glow showed in their maw as well. Before the giant could move and attack remaining Pokemons (or humans below), Oberon lunged forward and showing it back towards the wall with their own giant talons and raw weight, before unleashing a near blinding ray of raw dragon energy to their face. They couldn't risk flooding everyone with Surf (especially not when their trainer was in splash zone), and so Dragon Pulse was their next best bet - and while it wasn't a Spacial Rend, it should still be devastating. If anything, they hoped shoving it back could loosen the wall, and free the trapped people and creatures inside.

"Well, we will see if you're as sweet as your name and hair color." Ridley joked. Ridley ignored Finn's words about introducing himself. She inspected her now less than perfect nails as if he hadn't spoken, but then looked back to Vale as he said it wouldn't be appropriate to call Finn 'Boyfriend.' She shifted her weight putting a hand on her hip, popping her hip out as she did. "Why wouldn't it be? You don't mind being called 'Boyfriend' do you?" Ridley teased again. Her tone was playful and flirtatious, however now she was teasing Finn. She wanted to see if it did made Finn uncomfortable, and if it did she was going to poke and prod as much as she could. But something told her Finn wouldn't mind. However, the battle was now full swing. Ridley struggled to not stumble as the ground shook beneath them. Her high heeled boots making it hard for her to keep her balance in the ever moving sand below them. As the beast climbed over the rocky cage it created she couldn't help the step back she took as it made it's official entrance. She didn't understand how they could beat a monster like this. Ridley was very thankful for not only her own dainty womanly figure, but her own Pokemon's too as this beast began to square up against the Palkia, something she was not going to be upset with. "While it's distracted with Pinkie, hit it with Psyshock" Ridley called out to the Gothitelle was not about to hesitate. She raised her arms in the air and began to create a ball of energy and blasted it at the beast.
Vale's voice pulled her attention away from the battle. Vale wanted to know if they just saw legendaries regularly. Assuming he wasn't use to their nonchalant reaction to the Palkia, even calling it 'Pinkie'. Ridley was ready to shrug it off. Finally the Pokemon was doing some good to help them at least. Ridley shrugged to him. "Once you fall into a flooded mausoleum and get attacked by the living dead, and pulled into Darkrai's nightmare realm, or attacked by aliens... Not much else surprises you. Pinkie is pretty boring by comparison." She explained as if her previous traumas were normal. She didn't expect Vale or anyone to really believe her experiences, and she half hoped he didn't believe her to keep the conversation as light as it can be while basically two monsters duked it out. Professor Sonia Sonia watched in horror as the beast climbed over the rocky wall it created, covering her head with her arms to block the debris raining down on her. This was a beast she knew nothing about, just like the Lapras. She wasn't use to being against an aggressive Pokemon she didn't even know how to handle. Clearly it had created these walls to trap them, so it knew how to use it's abilities, or learned fast. She analyzed it to the best of her abilities as it moved to attack the larges of the group and clearly the biggest threat. Palkia. Had it not been for the beast she would have been freaking out about the legendary rather then the prehistoric Pokemon attacking them. Yamper stayed close to her side, as they watched the battle commence. She had been lucky that only a few stray rocks hit her as the Nidoking entered the battling area, but as the giant attacked it moved much to close for comfort. Sonia pulled back running even closer to the trainers as Yamper and Wooloo followed in suit. However, she was stopped by a large figure, a Samurott. "Oh my, aren't you pretty" She commented out of sheer reaction of seeing the Pokemon to suddenly. She wasn't being sarcastic, this was not a normal water starter, he seemed to be a specific kind she had read about in her books. But now wasn't the time to gush about how awesome she thought the Pokemon was. She looked back to his presumed trainer with pink hair and back to the Pokemon who clearly was trying not to scare her. "Thank you for coming to help me." She thanked the Pokemon, patting him on what would be his shoulder. Meanwhile Yamper was making himself comfortable close to underneath the Pokemon, looking up to the larger Pokemon with wide eyes. What called Sonia's attention back to the battle was the call for a psychic attack by the other trainer. She looked back, and then quickly to the Gothitelle. Assuming the Nidoking was still poison type, that would be the perfect move. "Wooloo, watch her, then use Copycat!" Sonia called out. The round Pokemon hopped as it turned to watch the psychic type move and form the psychic energy to attack. The wooloo let out a bleat as his fur began to wave in nonexistent wind. Meanwhile, the messed up fairy riding Nidoking's face opened her tiny mouth wide and sank her teeth into the skin between the scales. Vicious little snarls could be caught by only the most sensitive ears as Vera endeavored to prove that she was the craziest Pokemon here! The Floette wouldn't let go of her prey and she seemed rather convinced that she had a shot against the Nidoking. "I KNOW WHERE YOU LIVE AND YOUR MAMA'S GONNA CRY WHEN SHE SEES WHAT I DO TO YOU!" The Floette could use a chill pill. Or a chill bottle. She was not going to let today end easily all the same. For anyone around.

On the other side of the rock arena Elfana had her good arm crossed over her chest. The damaged one hung limp at her side. She hadn't found a way through just yet. While she could ask Nyalah to pick her up and carry her over, she didn't want to trap herself in there with whatever else was stuck inside. Her goal was to retrieve her Rufflet and Zacian and leave. Referring to a legendary Pokemon as something that belonged to her felt unsettling. It wasn't her fault he was so damned determined to follow her. She could handle herself just fine! She let out a sigh as she looked around for her Naganadel. Elfana wasn't the least bit surprised to find that he was missing again. He would show up sooner or later. Preferably sooner. He had her Pokeballs with him and she needed Saiphe's if she wanted to get through that Arceus forsaken wall!

White Prince Of Wonderland Elfy sharkeep rooker MochaSquaring up to the biggest Pokemon that it had trapped within its circle, the Nidoking was huffing through its serrated fangs as it struck and aimed to do so again. It stomped its feet and swung its tail around wildly, this was a beast with reckless abandon, that was only set on making its mark. It had no regard for anything around it, its surrounding area meant nothing, it was very focused on its current opponent even as it was struck by shocks of psychic energy, its fury and rage did not falter. Instead as it was pushed back into the wall by the Palkia, its spikes adorned on its back scratching and crumbling the rocks behind it, the Nidoking roared as it took the Dragon Pulse attack head on, almost in a way that it had no intention to shield itself or attempt to lessen the blow at all.
Its armored scales were marred by the energy, plumes of smoke or energy whisping off of its body, but that didn’t deter the monster one bit, it was only getting started. It slammed its tail against the ground and roared back at its attacker, pushing back with its might and taking a strong step forward. With its large hands, formidable claws, and dextrous arms, the Nidoking reached behind itself and grabbed at chunks of the rocky wall it had made and struck the Palkia with the boulders it held, and then in its sweeping anger it lunged with a fist coated in fire at the ground to try and throw the Palkia off of its feet and balance, striking another small Pokemon in the wake of its attack.

The fact the beast offered little to no resistance, actually worried them. It just took the attack to the face, without actually trying to defend itself. At least at first - but then it pushed them back, roaring and sending rocks flying, after hitting the ground and rocky wall. Initially Oberon didn't abandon their position, until the Nidoking used the falling debris to hit them in the head. The hard, sharp stone dealt quite a damage to them, despite their naturally thick scales and body, forcing them to step back.
That was a lesson, one they now learned the hard way. They definitely needed more practice, if they had to actually be able to protect their trainer. But that didn't meant they backed out from the battlefield - no, so long they were in the Nidoking's way, it shouldn't get to easily to the humans below. They needed to recharge if they wanted to clash with it again, but for now they settled on standing firmly between the beast and humans. Or at least their human. They weren't an un-penetrable wall, as it was shown with Wooloo getting hit, but that was the best they could do right now. And Oberon didn't want to imagine what would the Nidoking even do if they went back to their UltraBall.
To his relief, the woman reacted relatively well to his presence. She even complimented his look, which was.. kind of nice. That was definitely the first since his evolution, and despite the dire situation, it made Caspian feel a little bit better. But that couldn't last long, since he was on a 'mission', which was covering her. Somehow. He wouldn't normally stop her if she wanted to join the group, but.. right now it seemed like moving closer to the fighting giants was a very bad idea. The further one was from the battle, the better.
But it didn't seem to deter the giant from taking an aim at the tiny Wooloo and hitting him. That was very weird, that the Nidoking even spotted it among other, bigger Pokemons and managed to hit it so precisely with Fire Punch. And the smaller Pokemon didn't stand a chance, and it put the woman in even worse position than a moment ago. The Copycat worked, and now.. it couldn't.
"This isn't good.." the Hisuian Samurott muttered, as on top of that Oberon seemed to be not in a good shape either and backed down, as if needing to 'recharge'. Caspian realized he might need to be ready to face the giant Nidoking in their place, but he didn't want to leave Sonia just yet. Especially with her Wooloo getting thrashed roughly.
The poor thing was easily knocked out by the Fire move, one that left ugly marks on his wool. It didn't set him on fire, thankfully, but smoke still emanated from his seared wool.. that wasn't even that white anymore, and instead coated in like ash. The Pokemon was definitely unable to keep on fighting, and who knows when will they get to safety and when his trainer will be allowed to heal him properly. That wasn't really Caspian's job, especially with Oberon not doing so well, but.. he could at least do something to ease Wooloo's pain, right? He was a Water Pokemon, he could try and ease the burns with a little water. Well, the only move he really knew was Waterfall, but that still shouldn't be difficult to tune it down and just soak Wooloo a little.
Besides, his own body was cool, but he would rather rely on his Water abilities than rough paws. Keeping the Yamper under him in mind, he stepped closer to the knocked out Wooloo and checked his body carefully, assessing the damage. Well, it certainly smelled bad. He closed his eyes for a moment, focusing really hard to generate enough water as if using Waterfall, but much, much less. And without causing damage. He just needed some of it to douse Wooloo, to ease the damage, before it could be safely returned to the PokeBall. He knew it would be fine either way and the PokeBall was the safest place, but.. he couldn't imagine the discomfort.
Had he been in better shape and mood, he might actually do it and call Finn a 'Boyfriend' too, as if only to test Ridley. Whether or not she would be actually bothered. He dealt with people like that before, and he hated falling for that. But this time he won't entertain her and just stick to using the man's actual name. And what the woman had to say about that didn't concern him in the slightest.
"I always am. Unless someone gets on my bad side, but that never happens." he joked, although it was clear he was lying. He thought it wasn't easy to get to his bad side, but.. people sure do like to say he have a temper. But he wasn't always nasty on a purpose. Like, right now he was nice. It was just that easy and simple. Speaking of his hair, Vale checked how the braid was holding - it wasn't the worst, it sure was still in one piece, but didn't change the fact his hair felt gross in touch. He cringed momentarily, before pushing it aside. "Just don't eat me. I'm not into that sort of crap."
He could forgive Finn's lack of response, assuming it was because of the rampaging giant and need to be the one to be focused on the opponent. Vale put all faith on Oberon, so he didn't really bother giving them instructions or worrying too much. But more insight on the matter would be helpful, since that was the first time he met people who might actually had bigger experience with odd, mythical Pokemons than him and anyone else in his life. That time he would love to get some tips, or warnings.
"Sooo I should just get used to it and expect more. Even even more than we already see here. Got it." for his sake he decided to ignore the part about aliens. He could believe in meeting more deities, being trapped in other realms, mausoleums and all, but.. aliens? That sounded a bit too farfetched even for him. "Too bad no one would believe me, but that's the least of my problems."
"To be fair I can't tell the difference between normal Pokemons and those from myths, so they all just appear the same to me." well, Vale could recognize those he read about. But he would prefer to not met them in person if he could help it - especially Xerneas and Yveltal. Those two kind of scared him, for two different reasons. Strangely enough it felt weirder for him to imagine someone possessing literal avatars of life and death, that 'owning' a space deity. Technically it wasn't all that different and by the end of the day they were still just Pokemons, but.. it was different to him.
Especially when they show that they might not be as powerful as people act like they are. Vale wasn't that surprised - he already seen that Oberon had limits and weaknesses, like any other Pokemon. It wasn't ideal, obviously, in this situation, and thus putting them in a bit difficult position. Palkia remained an obstacle, of course, but not as efficient as before. Maybe he should had trained them longer and better, rather than act like they were too special for that. Apparently not.
"Definitely looking even less impressive now, huh." Vale said plainly gesticulating at Oberon. The Pokemon didn't seem to notice or particularly care about his comment. "I don't know if I would call them pink, though. They are an eyesore, but not that pink."
He felt like he should be actually worried about it. His seemingly powerful, mythical Pokemon couldn't quite stand a chance against what appeared to be just an overgrown Nidoking. But he wasn't too concerned yet. Maybe he just grew numb to it at this point. Of course he would like if the giant didn't squish or eat them, but.. he had no energy left to panic. And even then, he couldn't just panic. Letting his emotions loose like that was an awful idea and he was doing everything he could to keep it all down.

The giant Nidoking was getting a little too close for comfort, she had expected Palkia to obliterate it, or maybe even just open up some rift in space to throw it into. Not that she actually understood how any of that worked. But, her conversation with Vale and Finn was a nice distraction to the nerves she was feeling about what was happening. Ridley raised an eyebrow at Vale. "Why don't I believe either of those statements?" Ridley joked back, unsure if she could believe that he was always sweet, but also that no one gets on his bad side. She continued to listen to Vale, he seemed to be a little nonchalant at what she had just stated, explained she had experienced the undead, not ghost Pokemon, but human undead, Darkrai's nightmare realm, and aliens she would guest what's what the ultra beasts were. But he seemed to shrug it off too, but merely state that there's always more out there. She looked to Finn with a shrugged shoulder before looking back to Vale. "Yeah, I'm learning that there will always be more." She said with another shrug. "Why does it matter if anyone believes you? Just means they're the stupid ones." Ridley commented. Ridley didn't care if someone believed her when she knew she was right. Which she always thought she was right. They turned the attention back to Palkia, stating that he was less than impressive. "Well at least it's pulling most of the focus kinda..." She added, at least it wasn't attacking her Pokemon that's all she cared about. But she clearly wasn't out of the woods yet as it attacked Wooloo. "They're Pink enough." She added with a roll of her eyes. It wasn't that Palkia was over the top with Pink, They were pink, but also now their trainer had pink hair. As well as it's a funny cutesy name for the legendary of physical space. Meanwhile on the front lines, Esme continued her onslaught of psychic attacks, trying to keep herself moving so she didn't end up like the Wooloo
Jessica lead Liz over to the wall, hoping the large canine would follow the group. He was large enough to at least give them some cover form the beast if it turned it's attention to them. The Quilava spoke, asking if he could help her. Jessica felt of the wall, and thought for a moment. Liz asked for a wrong, and as she thought through a plan, she reached down and gave her a rock from the debris. "Do you have any hard or heavy hitting moves? I think it might be easier if I freeze the wall first to make it brittle, but I'm not strong enough to break through myself." She purposed. sharkeepProfessor Sonia Sonia felt much more comfortable for her safety being next to the very interesting looking Samaurott. She so desperately wanted to be able to study the Pokemon, he looked so interesting and just as her studying described! But now wasn't the time. Caspian helping her feel safe gave her time to worry about Wooloo more. She watched as the attacks hit, they should have done some real damage against a clear poison type. Wooloo followed the battle and trotted closer as Palkia pushed it back against the wall. He continued his psychic attack until the Nidoking began to retaliate against the Palkia. In it's frustrated it caused it's claws to ignite as it seemingly accidentally swing against the small sheep. The flaming claws hit the round Pokemon and sent him backwards. The ball of fur had caught fire as it very quickly rolled across the rocky surface. "Wooloo!" She cried out as he rolled past her very quickly before hitting the rocky wall and rolling back in their direction, and coming to a stop. By the time Sonia and Caspian could reach the Wooloo, the flames had gone out as the Wooloo's fur was now a bit singed on the outside of his round figure, and now smelt like burnt fur, and still smoked. Caspian poured water on him, which washed away the singed fur, and if Wooloo was conscious it would have definitely eased the heat. Thankfully his fur took most if not all of the burns. Sonia returned the soothed Wooloo, with a deep breath and then placed a hand on Caspian's armored arm/shoulder. "Thank you, I know that helped him feel better." She offered for him. But now the battle was back in full swing. She knew she couldn't send in Yamper with how scared he was, so she had to send in her last Pokemon. Grookey had a much more upbeat look on battles so she hoped he would be okay. She sent in Grookey who was quick to square up. "Okay, keep your distance Grookey, use Razor Leaf!" She offered as the Pokemon held out his stick and sent a barrage of leaves at the Beast. If it wasn’t the falling rocks of the wall around them crumbling, it was the splashes of sand that came up at every stomp of the Nidoking’s feet, or every swipe of its spiked tail, nothing was safe so long as they were in this enclosed area. Finn remained close to Ridley and Vale, he was shocked really to see that the Palkia had gone down at the hands of the monster before them, the entity surely had more strength than he would ever know, but if anything that was truly a testament to just how devastatingly strong this monster was…
Vitus did his best to keep moving, trying to get out of the way of swinging tail and stomping feet, and dodging the attacks going around from the monster’s wild swinging, it was making it hard to aim his cannons so that he could start making a weak spot in the wall. He dug in his heels and fired a round of shots at one point in the wall, while Osilvey used Vitus as a vantage point to get an attack in. His incredibly small size was making it really difficult to get in edge wise, but darn it if he wasn’t going to try. He hopped up onto Vitus’ shell and took aim at the monster well above him, and released a powerful torrent of water at the monster.

White Prince Of Wonderland Elfy sharkeep rooker MochaHolding itself strong in within the ring of rock it had built, the Nidoking roared at the group beneath its feet, having thought that it had bested the larger Pokemon in combat so that it could get at the other smaller things in tandem. The Beast stood tall, and flexed seemingly readying for an attack, but also seemingly doing so in celebration of defeating the other titan. But the Palkia remained, though it did not attack, instead it put itself in the way again as the Nidoking huffed and glowered at being challenged, letting out a very low rumbling growl at the Pokemon who dared challenge it again. The sound of crumbling rock caught its attention, something was striking the side of the rock wall it was using to keep them all contained. The rumbling growl stopped, while it seemed like the monster at its core was some mindless brute killing machine, it was easy to tell that it was thinking about what was going on and recognizing its actions. The prey was trying to escape it's prison, and they were seemingly doing a very good job of it. The Nidoking struck its tail against the ground, roaring again at the large Pokemon that was in its way, and it reached out with its thick arms and clawed hands, grabbing the legendary tightly and using it's full weight to shove the Palkia, not back as they grappled before, but to the side. The Nidoking was attempting to get Palkia out of it's way, and gave one big might put to get Palkia onto to the ground in a great spray of sand.
It was clear that the larger Pokemon was weakened, The beast could see that was why it no longer tried to attack. It could only steel itself in that moment as it was unable to attack, so the Nidoking was going to take that time as an attack of opportunity and aim to incapacitate everything it could hit with the body mass of their own teammate. Sprays of sand shook the ground, striking a Gothitelle on the field with a heavy blow of rocks that jutted up from the ground, and the Nidoking roared out again as it struck its tail against the ground, but not before it swiped away with a large flaming claw at a small thing that kept rushing around its face, another thing that was trying to be in its way. Swatting at the small Floette, that to this beast as a mere gnat. But a gnat that seemingly was capable of some heavy hitting. The Nidoking was now getting Palkia out of it's way to start attacking those smaller, and more importantly, it wanted to get at those trying to escape.

Their plan wasn't bad, but definitely needed to be executed better. Showing any sign of weakness only made the opponent push at them with more force and target the other Pokemons more frequently. It was clearly aiming at the people, and it was only a matter of time for it to actually achieve it - which might or might not start with their own. But the Nidoking proved itself to not be completely mindless and bloodthirsty, as a scraping noise caught its attention and made it momentarily pause.
Oberon used the moment to look at what was making the noise as well, noticing other Pokemons and trainers trying to crave an escape route. That was arguably a much better idea than engaging with a beast, who didn't seem to falter or weaken under continuous attacks. While they knew very well that Valentine hated this sort of solution and would refuse to admit defeat, Palkia knew when to stop mindlessly engaging in conflict and escape - it worked the other time for them, even though deep down they felt guilty about it. But this time it wasn't safety of whole world on their shoulder, only safety of one person (well, alright, multiple people.. but in the end they only cared about their owner).
Now, helping them carve the escape would require them to step away from the middle for a bit. Nidoking answered that for them, shoving Palkia roughly aside and then striking the Gothitelle below, but it actually gave Oberon an opening to 'send help' to those working on the wall. There was no time to warn others though, as they used their own Rock type related powers and shot a reasonably sized (for a big Pokemon like them anyways) Stone Edge at already damaged wall. They needed to hurry. They only hoped the wall would crumble in the opposite direction and not on creatures gathered on this side of the 'prison'.
He tried his damn hardest to keep his cool. It wasn't easy though, and no one seemed to appreciate his efforts. And he didn't want to talk about eating or not people. Maybe he shouldn't had joked about that, if he had thought about it. "Depends which part you don't believe."
Vale could applaud to her keeping spirits up and the playful tone, even though it was starting to grate on hi nerves a bit. He was already annoyed, and the constant poking wasn't helping him actually. Even though he could see some sense in her words, the attitude didn't fully sit with him. He didn't like when people refused to believe him in anything, when he wasn't actually lying, but he wouldn't call them stupid for that. Maybe sometimes, but usually it meant they were more perceptive and wary that he was giving them credit for. But Ridley didn't had to know that, so he went with an easier answer. "That's fair. Being called a liar after experiencing something like this is the worst."
Honestly, he was doing better before the giant Nidoking appeared, really. But the situation turned from bad to worse, and deep down he didn't react well to this. He wouldn't admit he struggled with handling stress, and how it was making easier to set him off. Especially when he couldn't just walk out and cool down somewhere else, before returning with more clearer head. They had to either defeat the beast or break the wall down to 'get out', and even then.. were they really out? He could had check if Oberon could actually carry him off the island as whole. It could be unfair to others, but he was getting to tired and hurt to care.
At least they seemed to handle each other well, unlike some others he met along the way. And didn't act like they ate the whole knowledge in the world and tried to command him. The bar was still on the ground, though. He momentarily turned away, just to see Caspian get into position to attack the monster too - apparently Sonia was secure enough for him to step away and use Waterfall on the Nidoking. It should do some damage, although he doubted they will be able to fully defeat it. Not that he wanted to particularly turn tail and run away (ignoring the fact they couldn't even do that, even if they wanted), but.. the opponent was very resilient. Hisuian Samurott afterwards returned to the professor, trying to shield her and Yamper - he knew he couldn't protect Grookey if he also participated in the battle. But he hoped that Nidoking will focus more on the heavy hitters now.
And it decided to start hitting way too close to them than Vale wanted to admit. He winced, but the Gothitelle seemed to held themselves still well enough, despite the hit. To be fair, the Nidoking shoved Oberon first and then attacked the Psychic Pokemon second, but still. And then instead of targeting the beast, they used Stone Edge on the wall. Not right near them, but where other Pokemons, like that blue dog, Blastoise and Jynx, were aiming. That was a good idea, he had to admit. And the message Oberon sent was clear enough - they need to start moving and get out. Not that he particularly wanted to flee, feeling like it was a loser solution for cowards, but.. come on, he isn't that dumb. If it was a human, then he would keep fighting them, but that was very much not a human and they were running out of ways for keeping them away.
"Now they got the right idea. Let's start moving, and maybe by the time we get there, they will crave big enough opening in the stone." he said, backing away. He kept his eyes on the beast for a moment, before turning to the wall that's being under an attack. "Maybe not too close to the crumbling wall, but.. somewhere in that direction. I would rather get dust all over me and maybe hit by rocks than have this thing crush me."

The beast was incorrigible, clearly, it was in its element and was meant to dominate any space that it could take up, that much was clear, but if they could at least get out of the circle and out into the open… Vitus was firing at the wall and Vale had the right idea too as more Pokemon were focussing their attention and trying to break through it.
”Aye, we need to get everything that we can to break through, this thing is purely physical, if we can get out and spread out, it’ll have a harder time hitting any given target, that’s why it closed us in like this,” the pirate agreed, he was completely on board as he tried to make himself heard over roars and sprays of sand and the sound of attacks flying through the air.
”Vitus, keep firing, close in and use your full firing power,” the pirate ordered.
”Ridley, your ghost, anything that she can do, we need everyone that we can to focus on the wall,” Finn inquired, he wouldn’t dare address the old ghost directly, but he knew Ridley had no such issues.
As Vitus moved in to really focus in on the wall, Osilvey stood atop his shell still and fired another torrent of water to keep up the assault from below, dowsing the Nidoking in an attempt to keep striking it where they had to assume it was weakest. This thing was clearly built for full on melee combat, were special attacks the way to go?

Ridley didn't really care if someone didn't believe her, or if they thought it was an off handed joke. She also didn't care that Vale thought differently. Everyone had their own opinions and he didn't seem to have bad ones so she didn't feel the need to argue. This didn't effect her negatively enough to argue or start her own fight on the side lines. Finn seemed to be completely absent from the conversation, as if he had something more important to take care of. Ridley was quite a bit more dismissive of the battle at the moment. They had their own titan, Palkia. Worst case scenario it could blast it into space or what ever the legendary did. But what changed her expression was when the beast shoved the legendary aside and changed it's focus. Her casual stance, as casual as she could be in high heeled boots in sand, as she now started to really pay attention to the battle. She was now in danger, not only that Esme then got clubbed fairly hard and sent tumbling backwards. Her mouth snapped shut as she watched wide eyed, making sure the gothitelle could get back up. She did but that just meant Ridley had more important things to worry about. Both Vale and Finn seemed to switch gears fairly quickly, and Ridley was on board. Get out of the walls and spread out. "Sounds like a good plan to me." Ridley agreed, looking over to Jessica to see if they made much headway after the stone edge was sent by Palkia. Finn questioned if "her ghost" was able to assist. Amma eyed over the pirate skeptically. She knew the boy was helpful, and so far he had treated Ridley well, but she didn't like his "affliction" and the very powerful entity that was always attached with him. "Well, Amma, has her own concerns like keeping rocks and boulders from crushing us. I think Jessica is enough help." She commented crossing her arms as she started making he way towards the Pokemon, whole still keeping a safe distance so Vitus could continue his assault. "Could you actually make sure Esme doesn't get stepped on though?" Ridley commented to make sure the psychic type wasn't going to get crushed in the mean time. Ridley didn't know if she could teleport just yet, so she wanted to ensure there was an escape plan just in case.
Jessica was keeping an arm around Liz, making sure she was okay when she was so vulnerable. She kept her hand on the wall as she continued to chill and expand the ice across the wall. It wasn't until she spotted the large Stone Edge heading there way did she stop. "Get down!" She shouted as her luscious wavy hair stood straight in shock as she pulled Liz and Cherry sideways away from the wall they were working at. Palkia had good aim and struck the damaged wall, she wasn't worried about that. what she was worried about was the group being hit with shattered ice or rocky debris. She used her psychic abilities to try and deflect any rocky or icy debris way from Liz and Cherry until the dust had settled. She looked up and found a good size crater, that once Vitus started blasting it with water, it busted through. "We made it through the wall," she exclaimed as she tried to ease Liz forward a bit. She looked over and flinched at the appearance of the purple... thing. Her waves suddenly stood on end again as she gasped, fearing the worst, but it appeared to be with the large canine. "What an interesting fellow," She commented eying the Pokemon over.
Meanwhile Esme was doing her best in battle trying to keep up with the beast. She had been hit pretty hard and was left in the sand with a groan. The beast had been moving on, and attacking everyone. She wasn't going to let a Pokemon that is so 'OUT' take her down. Not if she had anything to say about it. She pushed herself back up with a huff. "Don' hurt yourself. If you need to stop, I will finish the battle." Amma offered, speaking directly to the Psychic. Esme huffed again, swirling the sand up and around her with psychic energy. "Death will be 'IN' before I let this feral thing embarrass me." She spoke, giving the ghost a wink before sending a blast of psychic energy that was pulling sand with it, in hopes of maybe blinding the beast.Gothitelle || Esme [?] Squalor [F] | Hp. 250/250

sharkeepProfessor Sonia The Professor was doing what she could to try and help, but also make sure she was okay. The interesting looking starter was being so kind to help protect her from the attacks, same for her Yamper. She scooped up her Yamper as Caspian went to attack. Not wanting her Pokemon to think he should follow the starter into battle. She watched as the large torrent of water went after the beast. her mouth fell open a bit, as her Yamper barked as cheers to his new friend. She had seen loads of attacks before, but getting to see it really in action just was cool. Once she returned back to her side she smile and pat him again, "That was a good one," she complimented as she set down her canine as he began running circles under Caspian, barking in cheers for his new best friend. As the beast pushed past the Palkia she gasped and looked back quickly as it seemed a barrage of attacks hit the wall. She tapped Caspian with a hand over her chest. "I think we can get out!" She commented cheerfully before looking back to her grookey who was shouting at the fossil for running. "Keep hitting it with razor leaf!" White Prince Of Wonderland Elfy sharkeep rooker MochaAttacks flying left and right, sprays of sand, splashes of water, bursts of psychic energy and an ever so faint green glow that emanated up from the sand, the arena was in chaos. The Nidoking’s tail thrashed in every direction, its giant feet stomped with the weight and might of a herd of Tauros, but in spite of its great size and its incredible power, it still could not take whole charge of the situation. It was in a fury.It had never faced a prey that could stand up to it's might, and it was not happy.
In spite of its sheer rage and pure physical attack, striking down towards the ground with a poison laden fist at one of the larger Pokemon that was firing towards the wall, the monster was able to understand that the barrier, the arena it had built was being demolished, especially as the largest of its opposers moved to attack the wall as well, the rocky wall had started to crumble from the assaults it was taking. The monster roared, its razor maw gaping at its opposers, and it stomped on the ground in such a fury that the ground shook, and the rocky wall crumbled entirely. Every inch of it shattered as the ground trembled from the very force of all of the rocks crumbling and falling to the ground, and in that moment it seemed that there might be an opening for those trapped to flee. The Nidoking stood tall on the ground though, there was no sign of surrender, instead it began to stomp wildly on the ground as the beach shook and trembled. From the ground, giant sprays of sand began to shoot up from below, like water geysers reaching up to the sky. All over the sand, one by one the pillars of sand rose into the air and fell, turning the entire beach into a minefield of sandy streams. Attempting to stop and do what it could on a mass scale to halt the escape and maybe snare at least one or two.

Carving out a hole was easier said than done, at least up until the Nidoking did the job for them. Obviously it wasn't its intentions, as it continued to thrash on about and tried to capture them, but it worked in their favor still. At the very least they didn't need to worry about accidentally hit someone with their Stone Edge during the wall-breaking attempts, or the wall crumbling on top of people. Momentarily they spotted an Ultra Beast just casually returning the Zacian into a PokeBall and decided to not ask any question - they probably belonged to some trainer Oberon hadn't spotted yet, and it was none of their business.
Their tail thumped against the ground, just in time for sand to explode around them. The flying dust was making the navigation pretty difficult, unless someone was huge enough to stay off ground.. which Oberon was. They stretched their neck, looking for any point of interest. They know the last place they need to go is deeper into the park, and so anything that was further away from it seemed like the place to start - even if the fallen wall didn't offer any real help in that matter. It revealed only a fraction of the place.
But either way, with more open path and the danger focusing on the ground level more, Oberon unceremoniously grabbed their trainer and helped him climb onto their back - this time Valentine didn't really oppose, even though he was in a conversation with others. They didn't worry or get bothered by other people, though. They can get their own rides.
There was really not much he could really say at this point. Maybe if he wasn't too annoyed, near to the point of breaking. He was tired, hurt, damp and now covered in sand. It was all going great. The fact Vale was still standing and talking was already a miracle, really. He felt like it's been an eternity since they first got to the island and since he properly rested. But thankfully no one really opposed his idea of aiming for the wall. They were making such little progress in beating up the Nidoking, that maybe getting away from it was the best idea.
Caspian was still putting up a fight, though. People and smaller Pokemons being impressed with him and his skills was kind of a new thing for him, as he only very recently stopped being a small Pokemon himself - not that he particularly demanded attention or praise. His trainer did, that's for sure, but the Pokemon was doing fine, just doing what he could. It still felt nice when Sonia patted him and her Pokemons looked up to him. Hisuian Samurott lunged at the giant Nidoking with Waterfall again, despite the sand exploding around him - the water did helped him a little to get across, but it still wasn't pleasant. Afterwards, finally noticing the walls crumbling and his trainer making somewhat coherent plans, he could had just joined Vale's side, but didn't want to leave Sonia behind.
"Get on my back." he instead said to the Yamper and Grookey, lowering himself enough for them to climb. Their trainer was close enough to him too, and he could take her on his back too, but for now he wanted to ensure those two weren't lost in the chaos. There was still a risk of the Nidoking attacking him and thus hitting them as well, but still, moving along with him could save them time.
Vale wasn't all that caught on the affairs and what not between the other two, or why Finn couldn't ask the ghost himself despite being almost right next to each other. He raised a brow, unable to not be confused. Those people were really weird, even for his own standards - again, he was probably least experienced and most normal person on the island. Or so he will keep telling himself to feel better. But to be fair, he wouldn't be surprised if someone asked him to then ask Palkia to do something.. but unlike Amma, they couldn't communicate with humans.
"Oberon can carry someone, if needed. I know for sure they can carry two people on their back with little no problem." he found its worthy enough to mention, even though the Pokemon in question didn't like being shared. He knew that his family was an exception. They probably understood how much they meant to Vale and so extended their weird protectiveness to them too. But anyone else? That was a huge gamble. "But we only tried that when surfing, not walking. And their scales aren't what I would call stable."
Palkia seemed to have heard him and took an offense in that, as they grunted and right on cue picked him up. He really really didn't like that, and being handled like some doll (or maybe rather an unhappy Purrloin), but this time he couldn't muster a complaint or any particular noise of disagreement. And with the sand exploding around, he didn't even try to wiggle out of Oberon's grasp. And the Pokemon did him a favor and instead of carrying him in their claws, they just placed him on their back. Vale didn't really 'ride' on them before, minus when using Surf, and so it was actually a bit hard to climb.
"Alright, fine." using mostly his healthy arm, he somehow managed to climbed on top of their back, getting himself nicely wedged just above their 'wings' (or shoulders, really). "Just don't step on others, since you don't want to help them. We need them!"
Well, not all of them. If they accidentally stepped on the red-haired girl, he wouldn't be too bothered - if she refuses to move, then it's her fault and hers only. Oberon merely grunted in response, as if halfheartedly registering it, and he had to just accept it. The best they could also do, was shielding those below from falling rocks and debris, that is being shot upwards along with the sand. It wasn't best for him, but their 'wings' could still extend enough, right? They flared them as if reading his mind, shoving some falling rocks away from those who were just under them. That might not work on the longer run or flawlessly, but.. it was better than nothing, right? Especially since Oberon didn't really wait for them to make up their minds and started a relatively decently paced trek away from the giant. Vale had no idea where they were heading, but most likely towards the carved exit.
"Just follow the giant eyesore!" he called from above, trying to outshout the sandy eruptions and Nidoking having a tantrum. Palkia should be easy enough to follow, given their size and color. And Oberon seemed to have more coherent plan and was heading.. somewhere. Hopefully it was a better place than this.

Ridley didn't exactly like Amma, but the old dusty ghost had saved her life countless time as it was. She didn't mind defending and demanding respect for her. She would snap and disrespect Amma as much as she wanted, but the dusty, mean, mothball, wrinkly, old ghost was hers and no one else was allowed to say so. She had no really knowledge of Finn's... condition. But Amma did. Ridley was very quick to pick up on Amma not liking the pirate, she made it pretty obvious but that just made Ridley like him more. This was the first time she saw a bit of contempt back from Finn. It did bother her a little bit he asked her for something about Amma when she was right there, but it didn't seem to bother the ghost any, more so then she already was. Maybe she knew something already, but Ridley didn't care to look any further into it. There were much more bigger fish to fry. After Palkia, and Vitus knocked a hole in the wall, with Jessica and a few other's help. Ridley was ready to run and make a flying leap through it. But the ground shook and she looked back to the beastly Nidoking, as it thumped it's tail on the ground and shook the entire beach. Soon after the walls exploded back into sand. Ridley let out a quick shriek, and shielded her face, fearing it was another attack, but looked back as there was no following chaos. She looked back as Vale spoke about Palkia carrying another, but not wanting to risk more, and that it's scales weren't stable. Ridley couldn't resist to reach out and touch the Palkia's scales lightly just to see what he meant by "not stable." They were the god of space, would her finger go through the legendary? she was curious. But soon after the legendary reacted and took of skyward without any offer to help. "Thanks Pinkie, I didn't want a ride anyways." She called out as she looked to Finn. "Let's go." She called out to Finn, starting to hobble in the sand. Amma appeared at her side clearly unhappy with her decision to flee, but before she could scold her, the blonde spoke. "Keep an eye on Esme. You're already dead, keep her not dead." Ridley commented to the ghost. Effectively communicating to Amma that she's will willing to help, but they needed to get to safety. The ghost gave her a very sour look, but rippled away once more. Ridley continued to try and make her way across the sand in her high heeled boots, as a blast of sand exploded up right in front of her. She let out another shriek as she stumbled backwards, trying to catch herself on the uneven ground. She fell backwards into Finn, as she grappled at him for support. Meanwhile. Esme continued her assault on the beast, sending psychic energy at it.
Jessica had been trying to keep the blinded trainer safe with the other stranger Pokemon. They had just finally knocked a sizable hole in the wall, thanks to the mega blastoise and palkia. She was ready to usher Liz through the hole when the entirety of the wall exploded into sand, and begun raining down on everyone. Jessica leaved over and placed her arm over Liz's head, she could tell it wasn't too much rubble, it had been broken back into it's normal sand state. The Jynx looked back swiftly to see why the beast was allowing them to escape. She knew it didn't make any sense. They had broken free, why would it help them? "It knocked down it's own wall..." The jynx informed the blinded trainer. She spotted Vale, Palkia and Ridley starting to get moving. "We should make some distance between us and the battle," Jessica spoke, taking Liz's hands and shifting so she's walking backwards leading Liz. This way she can keep and eye on the beast and Liz as she lead her away. Keeping her at both arm's length distance, she tried to keep her moving steadily. When the sand began to erupt into geysers she stopped with a wide eye. Shortly after she found herself being ripped from Liz's grasp as a sand geyser sent Jessica flying skyward. She let out a scream as she tumbled upwards. sharkeepProfessor Sonia The Professor was glad to see that she thought they were making headway against the beast. This thing was a heavy hitter, but they were giving it right back. It helped that they had such large Pokemon, Palkia, Mega Blastoise, Caspian, and a few other strong Pokemon on their side. Even if those were a few working on an escape. The Palkia seemed to have busted a hole in the wall. Sonia was ready to book it and start moving everyone to the hole. until the Nidoking retaliated. The ground shook violently, even with the shifting sand beneath their feet. The rock wall exploded into sand which caused the professor to gasp and flinch. Thinking it was another attack, Yamper let out a Yelp from below Caspian. But seemingly nothing happened. She looked from the open beach to the beast with her brows frowned. Now that didn't make any sense. Caspian took her attention back as he lowered himself to allow them to climb on. She didn't understand what he verbally said, but the motion was enough. Yamper didn't hesitate and began trotting and scampered his way up onto the back of his new strong friend. But The professor didn't move. "This doesn't feel right, we shouldn't run... There's no reason why it would want us to be able to get distance... " She spoke trying to figure it out. As the sand geysers began to erupt, she put two and two together. It was maybe trying to scatter them, to stop the onslaught of attacks. She didn't communicate this to Grooky, but he was still ready to fight. "But I have it on the ropes! It'll go running here soon! I'll scare it off!" The small monkey howled as he sent a barrage of leaves at the Nidoking. Sonia spotted the few trainers starting to move. White Prince Of Wonderland Elfy sharkeep rooker MochaThe geyser field that the Nidoking made was erratic, it didn’t stop, and the sprays of sand littered the air as dust flitted across the beach. Given that the wall had broken and the beach was free of other confines, the trainers and Pokemon began to flee and spread out. The Nidoking was clearly in a rage, but it had got exactly what it wanted out of letting the wall down, the largest opposer, the giant dragon fled first and foremost, giving way for the Nidoking to have at the smaller members of the group. It stomped and lashed out as it stormed the beach, lunging after the many scattering trainers and their Pokemon, punching the ground with sprays of sand, turning and swinging with its clubbed and spiked tail. However, even with its great strength and incredible power, it seemed perhaps, that it wasn’t as quick or nimble as it needed to be to catch the smaller prey it set its sights on. As the sand geysers continued, filling the beach air with dust and debris, clouding vision and marring the Nidoking’s path to grab anything that it could, it seemed that the distance was growing. There was a roar and a powerful smash of sand and rock, but as any true predator with instincts for hunting, the Nidoking huffed and roared again at giving in to this hunt, it would have to find another set of prey to get its claws on.

There’s an old dock on the beach of the farthest edge of the Peninsula, where the barge would have landed had it made it all the way across the lagoon. From that dock, if someone started heading north into the thick of the jungle, they may be able to find overgrown and almost discernable remnants of a path that was marked for getting from the beach into this part of the peninsula. It’s really dodgy in this part of the jungle, its clear that the staff and scientists of the island haven’t had to be in this part of the island for quite some time, so it is very much wild jungle and potentially difficult to navigate.
About a mile inland from the beach, if someone was able to follow this broken and barely there path to the best of their ability, they would come up to an old and overgrown, abandoned guard post outside of a very high and very sturdy security wall. The guard’s post hasn’t been used in a long, long time, but it looks like there might be a light flickering inside? If a way inside can be found, or made, there is a very small and very minimal, but functioning Pokemon Center style healing machine and PC.- This is an open RP portion of the event, take time to regroup, recuperate, heal up Pokemon, and make sure everyone is alright - The goal is to get all trainers to the Peninsula Thread. It can take just one post to get there, or you can make the trek up the beach, it is your choice - You can use this time to try and find any surviving trainers along the beach, or begin making your way into the jungle to try and find the old facility - Your stopping point is a Guard’s Building outside of a gated wall. Inside this old and abandoned Guard’s post is a very small very minimal Pokemon Center style healing machine and a PC
