Hanako fidgeted in Odyss' arms as she watched Faithe try to reach Roxanne. She didn't think he would let her down if she asked him. That would go directly against Kintaro's order to keep her out of the water as much as possible. She wasn't comfortable letting Faithe and Charlotte try to help on their own. While the other trainer going to help appeared to be an ally against the fossil menace, she didn't know if he was friendly or not. For all she knew the strangers could be every bit as unsafe as the fossils. Which would mean Odyss would get in even more trouble if he let her go near them. Hanako needed to be on her best behavior for now. She had already caused both Odyss and Kintaro more than enough stress for one day. After some consideration she turned her attention to her Sirene. "Riven, follow Faithe." If she couldn't follow Faithe herself she would send one of her Pokemon with her. Odyss wouldn't get in trouble for putting her down and Faithe would have an extra friend with her. Hanako considered that to be a win. The Sirene hesitated for a couple of seconds before following after Faithe and her ghostly chandelier. She would have preferred to stay by her trainer until the battle was over. Hanako was safe with Odyss.

He was glad to see that they weren't alone. Looking them over, at a quick glance at least, it appeared there was a very serious looking male, unfortunately wearing a suit. It was pretty well tailored to him, at least looked like it would be if it hadn't gotten so wet in the tunnels. He appeared to be older, and more of a threat than the other trainers which was good for them. The other small girl appeared to be injured which was a bad sign already, but she was being carried and tended to by a Chesnaught he could only assume was hers. Marcellus would have preferred the grass starter in battle, but he could understand if he wanted to protect his injured trainer. The next was a red head he could only help but think she reminded him of Liz. They didn't look at all alike aside from the hair. But he couldn't help but feel like they had to same energy. He couldn't tell if that was a good thing or a bad thing just yet. Vale's voice pulled him out of his thoughts and asked about Roxanne and the others. "Yes, She's a Gym Leader form Hoenn. I've collected her badge." Marcellus spoke, watching the Gym Leader who was in danger. It wouldn't be good for anyone if anything serious happened to a Gym Leader. But they did hold a special place in his heart, not only had he gotten to battle her, but he had been assisted or even saved by Gym Leaders in the past. They may not all have been nice, but they had effected him for the better. However regarding the others, he had no idea. "I haven't met or read anything about them that I know off." Marcellus answered. Regardless he didn't care, they appeared to be here to help that was all that mattered to him.
XXXXXMarcellus's attention was pulled away from the conversation as the battle seemed to ahve gotten started. Marcellus watched as the Pokemon targetted Novu and Caspian. Novu was quick to respond as he jumpped out of the way of the large blade swinging at him. But he was only able to dodge the first as the second swing made contact, knocking him backwards as he tumbled to a stop. The Omastar used this and began to grab onto the Bulbasaur and ensnare him. Marcellus gasped as he watched Novu get attacked twice. "Novu, try and break free! Attack the Omastar if you have to!" Marcellus called out, as Novu began to struggle with it's tentacule. After trying to pull away and then run, and failed. Novu charged the fossil and rammed the Pokemon as hard as he could.
XXXXXMeanwhile, Marcellus heard Vale speak, but it didn't exactly register what he had been saying. He ran for the Gym leader, Marcellus reached out to try and grab him, but was much to late. "Valentine, no-wait!" Marcellus gasped and then watched as he snuck past the Pokemon, and went to help Roxanne, as a Chandelure seemed to also float over and help courtesy of the redhead. He watched wide eyed from the side, his eyes flicking from Novu to Vale concerned for his Pokémon and his new travel partner.

Kera was still floundering in water and had Kintaro helping her swim until she reached a space to climb up on and observe the conflict. He would have tried picking her up but he had injured himself enough. Carrying his Houndour would have been a bad decision this early in the expedition. He might need that strength for something else. "Gandor, be more careful! Assess your opponent before you attack!" He called out to the Rotom, making Gandor flinch slightly. Assuming Kabutops did retaliate to the buzzing slaps to the head, that high of "getting the first hit" on him was about to wear right off! Odyss, on the other hand, was already taking stock of the situation. He wanted to rush after Faithe and Riven but he was already tasked with protecting Hanako. Staying out of the struggle was best. Unless.... "Riven! Get her to me!" He called out to the Sirene, hoping Roxanne wouldn't protest too much being manhandled by a Chesnaught. Odyss was anxious watching one of the other two men approaching Roxanne as well. He knew nothing about them and Vale was headed straight for Roxanne. Was this going to make things better, or worse? He hoped Vale would agree with the assessment that sending the injured Gym Leader to the Chesnaught was a good call. He could defend them from attacks and serve as a space Roxanne could recover without getting more water into her wounds for the time being.

sharkeep Faithe Elfy rookerThe three prehistoric Pokemon weren't expecting the barrage of attacks that they were met with. Usually if a fight broke out within the aquarium usually the attendants were quick to break it up, as well as usually the smaller Pokemon didn't attack them. Only same size or Bigger. The Kabutops tried to swipe at the little ghost that had begun attacking his head but missed each time. While the many attacks that hit the Omastar sent him tumbling backwards, dragging the Bulbasaur with it. If anything this caused the Omastar to grip tighter refusing to let the bulb go. The shellfish began to try and shake the snake off of it's shell, trying to avoid the bites as it snapped at him. While the Cloyster seemed to square off with Caspian who returned fire. The moment it began upright and opened it's shell she received a sharp punch to her softer insides. The Pokemon turned their attentions to different prey then before. The Kabutops had had enough of the ghost type, he let out what could be considered a roar as he stepped back and began to swing it's blades at the electric type slicing at the air quickly in attempt to strike Gandor multiple times. While the Omastar made no progress on getting Alatus off of his shell, he decided to use what he had to attack what he could. Using the captive grass starter, Omastar swung Novu with his tentacles into the air and slammed him into Gandor, attempting to swipe him out of the air. While once the Bulbasaur landed the Cloyster closed and began to rocket across the ground again spinning away from Caspian and sliced into the downed Bulbasaur with it's spikes.
As the battle commenced, Roxanne attempted to very slowly inch her way across the counter and out of the line of fire. She didn't want to get his with a stray attack, or have the fossils remember her. "Of course, of all the things I could be attacked by, it's a living fossil." She cursed under her breath. Fossils were her expertise, she found it ironic that this was what was trying to end her. She knew everything she needed to to battle these Pokemon, but she had no how to battle them with these current restrictions, and especially with her Pokemon sitting in their pokeballs some where on the other side of the room. She had made her way to the end of the counter and had begun to try and silently climb down, finding it difficult with her few injuries she had sustained. Before she could, she had been so focused on staying quiet and not getting hit, she hadn't noticed the wet pink haired trainer that had come to her rescue. She recoiled away at first in fear, but relaxed and accepted his help and used his help to climb down. "Thank you so much," She thanked him quietly knowing that he put himself in danger to rescue her. But soon after the male came to help, a red head came down riding a Chandelure, and a Chesnaught came to her aid. "I appreciate all of your help, really, but I think we need to get mov-" She began only to stop as the chestnaught scooped her up. With a quiet yelp she found herself in his arms. She pat his shell gently as she finished her thought. "Thanks big guy, but I don't want any of you to get hurt for me. Can you shield all four of us while you try and inch us away from the battle?" Roxanne asked the large Pokemon. Not arguing being lifted, but wanting to make sure Vale, Faithe, and her Chandelure got back out safe. Just as she finished, The Kabutops blades began to clang against Odyss' shell a few times before the fossil returned to the others, most likely not doing much damage to the starter but a reminder they weren't safe. {Battle Overview(click)}

Unfortunately for Marcellus, Vale didn't quite care about his safety. He barely acknowledged the other man calling after him, as he kept his eyes on the gym leader, periodically glancing to his left and right to ensure he isn't going to get sniped from the side by one of the fighting Pokemons. Hell, he didn't even notice the other trainer doing the same thing as him (except using a Pokemon to move, which was fair). Well, sometimes when he had a set goal in his mind, it was hard for him to just stop. And he was tired - in his mind it seemed like the faster they will get Roxanne out, the sooner they will find a normal resting spot. Which was probably only in the hub area at this point.. probably.
The fight was getting a bit messy, but Vale still managed to reach the desk. The woman must had not notice him coming at first, as she appeared rather startled but thankfully not enough to stumble back and fall down - instead, he reached out to her, helping her get down more safely. At the very least they both looked like a mess, although he at least wasn't that bruised or scratched, and only soaked wet. Only then he noticed the red-haired girl and her ghost approach as well.. and for once he didn't even mind.
"You're welcome." he said back, just for the sake of courtesy. They did just trek all the way through flooding tunnels to help her, even though neither of them expected the screaming person to be a gym leader - to be honest, Vale was expecting a park worker, a security or something.
With that in mind, where was the security? It was far beyond the point when they should intervene, or just do their job and help the park attendants. For crying out loud, one of them was a member of a Pokemon League, wasn't that a big deal?
Those questions had to wait, because they really needed to get out of here. He wasn't too found of waiting for the Pokemons to stop mauling each other, especially not when the water level was still rising. But he didn't even had a chance to ask if Roxanne could walk on her own, before the Chesnaught just swooped her into his arms. Well, that was somewhat helpful. "Do you think you could be still able to walk on your own? Just in case the Chesnaught gets attacked or his trainer calls him out?"
Swimming was definitely out of question - at least in her case. He could still swim and all, but he didn't know about the other trainers. The red-haired girl seemed like she wanted nothing to do with water, same with the cyan-haired one. And that man.. was wearing a full suit, which was the last thing you should wear when swimming. Or doing any physical activity, really. But hey, it wasn't like they were able to predict how this 'vacation' would go, right?
"All's great and shit, but any idea how are we even going to get out of here?" Vale sighed, sounding more exhausted than he should. There was a way, sort of, but it required him using Oberon to break the ceiling. Hopefully there were no more water above them, but the rubble could still pose problem to unsuspecting people and Pokemons.. and to be honest, he wasn't sure if Palkia could carry so many creatures anyways. "The route me and Marcellus came from is definitely fully filled with water, I'm afraid. And I highly doubt any of us is that well equipped to swim."
But inching away from battle was still a good idea. He would rather not get cut by the Kabutops (preferably not the one that came really close to them, but then walked away for some reason) or wrapped by the Omastar, and getting the gym leader out in one piece could also be good.. for many reasons. Some selfish, but he wasn't even sure if 'saving the gym leader' was a big achievement. But as he looked for any good, safe spot, he noticed something float on the other end of the room. It was a bit hard to spot, in the limited light and flurry of fighting Pokemons, but something was standing out against the wet floor. He eyed Roxanne, who was carefully held by the big Pokemon, not just in search for blood on her clothes, but also for-
"Hold on. Is that your bag, over there?" he asked the rather obvious, but still important question. That would explain why she wasn't using her Pokemons for self-defense - even without elemental attacks, they could be still useful, since it might been her leader team. And if she didn't had it with her, then it must been somewhere in the room.. hopefully it was it.
Vale then turned to the red-haired girl and her ghostly companion. "Could your Pokemon be real nice and float over there to retrieve it? Unless you want to get there yourself, then whatever, but it will still be faster. And I don't want to know what would the league do if she lost her team."
He couldn't bother using nicer tone, as they had limited time and he really wanted to have it all behind him already. She might been a total stranger and it wasn't a good first impression - but unlike his clothes, his patience was running dry.
While his trainer dealt with the gym leader, Dewott was dealing with the mess of a battle. The Pokemons really seemed to be confused why they were fighting them, as they might not been used to such resistance - Caspian wasn't entirely sure, but at least that would explain why the Cloyster, instead of attacking him again, spun away from him and towards Novu. In fact, the Bulbasaur seemed to get the most attention from the fossils, which was.. a bit strange. Sure, he was probably the smallest of the bunch (except for that purple snake or floating.. orange thing), but that didn't meant he was the weakest. Caspian could sense that Novu was stronger than he looked, but it was still unfair for him to be continuously attacked.
But before the otter could attack the Omastar, he spotted the Kabutops inching its way towards the huge green Pokemon.. and his trainer. Obviously Vale will be too occupied with the gym leader and other person to notice the fossil creeping on them, and Dewott didn't want to risk him getting hurt, not while he can do something about it. The otter ran forward, zig-zagging between other fighters and fossils, and just as Kabutops moved away from Odyss, Caspian jumped at it, landing a Punch on its.. weird, segmented chest.
Well, his paw hurt a bit afterwards (the Pokemon might not been a Rock-type, but that didn't make it any less hard) but at least it dealt some damage to it.. and hopefully distracted it from his trainer and the others gathered around Roxanne. As a Pokemon, Dewott could live after getting attacked in retaliation, but his trainer wouldn't.

Faithe looked back up to her new ghost friend as she disembarked at the woman they were there to help. She arrived at the same time as a decidedly more helpful force did. Riven and Odyss gathered up the woman "no shield for me! gotta keep movin!" Faithe chirps with more excitement in her voice than she had expressed since the start of the storm, she finally took note of the other trainer there, he had an interesting look, he had pink hair. like PINK pink she SO BADLY wanted to play with his hair, but now... now was not the time. "Oh, we came from a path that leads out to the entrance to this building!" Faithe states as she points back towards the entrance they had used. "The water was deep, but not 'you have to hold your breath and swim' deep." She adds not pleased to go back through there, but most assuredly not willing to go UNDER water for a different path. "OH! I'm on it!" Faithe exclaims looking to where the bag was, no one should be without their bag that was, criminal. "Charlotte, lets go." She adds looking to her chandelure. "Yes Miss Faithe, right away." Charlotte expresses happily due to the change in tone coming from Faithe towards her. Her new trainer was, a bit of a strange girl but her willingness to expand her trust circle was refreshing honestly, even if perhaps a bit naive. She dips down low enough for Faithe to grab ahold of her 'arms' so she could carry her already waterlogged trainer over to the bag. She wasn't entirely sure how the pink haired man had intended for her to grab the bag anyway, she didn't have access to any power that she would normally use for that kind of physical manipulation of objects, and she most certainly did not have any hands. Faithe reached up and grabbed ahold of Charlottes lowered limbs, then the ghost lifted the girl out of the water and began an expedient hover towards the bag."Release the little bulb!" Teriyaki expressed in a frustrated cry as she rotated her shoulder and leapt after the Omastar. She now had another reason to pursue further attacking the obnoxious shellfish because now the Ekans that had been travelling with the cyan haired Hana had wrapped himself around the thing, so she would be more clear to strike it with less chance of retaliation and hopefully a greater opportunity to release the trapped bulbasaur. "If you don't just let the little guy go I will break you!" she howls in warning before throwing another punch for the Omastar she had to take care with her aim to not strike either the Ekans or the Bulbasaur, but there was enough surface to beat on that it wasn't too concerning.{combat}Teriyaki (lvl. 14) vs Omastar (lvl: ???)

Then Flareon tried. Duchess just stared like he was making a complete fool of himself. Zoey didn't let the fact lie silent. She laughed raucously at the Fire Pokemon trying to mime his way to success. Dana, meanwhile, was trying to ignore her two unhelpful Pokemon as she clearly recognized the attempt to communicate. So he was looking for something...? That thing was tall. Really tall! Or maybe it was just taller than Flareon. He seemed to believe it was tall, at least! So something at least bigger than he was... "So this belongs to your friend? And you want to...bring it to them." She queried, trying her best and failing to get the whole picture. To her credit, she had managed to intuit the general concept of what Flareon was trying to do. Truth was far stranger than fiction, after all. Dana's misinterpretation could at least equip her to search for Burst...whether she would believe what she saw or not was a bridge to cross when they came to it. She still wasn't entirely certain she understood Tonya's distress, and she wasn't willing to say out loud just yet that Flareon was looking for something that was already dead. She could only hope she had enough of the right idea going on here. She just had to follow him, maybe help him move that ball...head? Thing. He seemed to be having quite a bit of trouble with it. The thunder cracked as if demanding to be noticed by the party that had ignored it up to this point. Rain poured down and Duchess soured right along with Flareon. Dana tried to perk up and offer a kind smile to the Fire Pokemon. "It's alright. We'll figure something out. Together." She offered, moving slowly toward Flareon again hoping he wouldn't respond with hostility this time. He was clearly trying to ask for help before. "Then we can find your partner." She added in case Flareon was still wary. sharkeep Faithe Elfy rooker White Prince Of WonderlandWhile water continued to fill the aquarium tunnels far beneath the surface, the battle had turned into an all out brawl as the fossils continued their assault on those who were attempting to escape. Tentacles and limbs, scythes and fists, and everything in between were filling the battle scene. The Kabutops continued its quick assaults as it was the most dextrous and lithe of the fossils in the group, capable of moving in and out of attacks swiftly and landing it's devastating hits. It swung its scythes with great precision, keeping the immediate area around it clear, even as the otter in the group rushed forward and got in a swift strike in its mid section, the fossil screeched and swung again, clearing its path. The Kabutops rushed forward with its great speed, head rushing through the surrounding Pokemon, the floating Rotom especially, and struck the Bulbasaur, continuing its heavy hitting assault.
The Omastar and the Ekans were still caught in a wrapped up struggle, the snake using its length to ensnare the fossil, but the Omastar was using its tentacles in kind to further entangle the two. It was fuming, and continued to wrap itself around the Ekans, wriggling free one tentacle as it slashed and struck the snake with whip like speed. It flailed wildly then as the Blaziken came into try and pry the two apart, but the Cloyster made quick work of lunging itself into the frenzy. The clam zeroed in on the Blaziken and furiously struck with its pointed horns, spinning around with each hard hit.
Out of the fray for now, Roxanne stayed close to the larger Pokemon that had grabbed her away from the assaulting fossils, now knowing that she really needed to keep out of harms way until she too had her own Pokemon. She wasn't sure how much longer the fossils could keep going on in this fight, but surely if they were perfected by this science, did that mean that they might be stronger than the fossils that they knew today? It was a curious question, but definitely one for later as she tried to keep tabs on what was happening, and definitely holding her breath that no one would get hurt in trying to get her bag for her...

Dewott hated to admit it, but he was getting a bit tired. He had a feeling other Pokemons felt the same, but he wasn't entirely sure how much they had fought before getting there in the first place - and while Marcellus changed who was fighting on his side, Vale didn't and thus Caspian was starting to feel sore for all the fighting. But he also couldn't step down, especially not now. The water was slowly but surely reaching their place as well, and thus Kieran was out of question.. and he didn't even think about being swapped with Oberon. The space was now too tight for a Pokemon of such size, unless his trainer really wanted to break out from here - but he would risk injuring gathered here people, and Dewott knew he wouldn't do that. Unless they had no other choice, that is.
Now, between the three Pokemons, Cloyster seemed to be least attacked - and it was apparently taking out her frustration on the Blaziken. Surprisingly, the big bird wasn't actually that durable.. well, he assumed some Pokemons just get big way too early and it costed them a lot. But there wasn't really time to sit and wonder about it, as the fossils kept the offense going. While the Rotom and Ekans were doing not-so-great either, Caspian made the decision to attack the Cloyster, to distract it away from the bird - the snake was a bit weird, and the ghost sounded like, in a way his trainer would describe it, a complete asshole. It was loud and running its weird, ghost mouth too much - and he wouldn't be surprised if Kabutops won't try to shred it to pieces again, for once and all. But the otter really didn't want to inherit his trainer's 'somewhat uncaring towards strangers' attitude.
He ran forward again, this time going for the shell Pokemon and waiting for the right moment as she opens her shell, so he can punch her softer 'inside'. Or her weird head, one or the two.
Vale meanwhile was inching his way along with the Chesnaught, towards the big Pokemon's trainer. Either way, it seemed like the best way out - not counting the not obvious breaking through the ceiling, of course, but he was less and less sure it will be a good idea. Roxanne didn't gave him a clear answer and the red-haired girl hadn't returned with the bag yet, so it was still the best option, to move along.
Now that he was mostly out of the water, he was painfully aware of his condition - even with the jacket on, he was cold and highly uncomfortable in wet-but-slowly-drying clothes, and his hair felt the absolute worst. The braid was barely holding together at this point, with clumps of hair sticking out in every direction. And it was.. well, awfully moist, and naturally drying in room temperature (or lower than room temperature.. or it was just his imagination). Actually, dipping into the water or getting showered by rain didn't seem like all that bad.
There were still more pressing issues than his discomfort - besides the obvious, they really shouldn't take the oxygen levels for granted. Could the vents be flooded too? Surely they were protected from outside forces and harsh conditions, but with Pokemons going rampart and wandering around, one might guess if smaller ones could had found their way inside and either break it or clog it. Or both.
He hoped the fossils will eventually grew bored of them or tired. They really shouldn't spend whole day there, for one reason or another.

Teriyaki had her attention fully on the Omastar and wasn't paying the kind of attention she should have to the rest of the attacking pokemon, much to her own peril. The Cloyster decided to teach her a lesson the hard way when it crashed its hard spiky body into Teriyaki's back multiple times. When she was able to Teriyaki leapt away from the assailing Cloyster.
"SIS fall back!" Faithe cried out to Teriyaki having gathered up the bag and turning to see the ferocious hit land on her poke-sister. "Charlotte I have an idea... I trust you can do it. I need to stand on your arms so you can help me move, and I can get this bag to its owner, and then get into position to help Teriyaki." Faithe states as she held tight to the bag.Charlotte gave an accepting bow and lowered her height so Faithe could 'climb aboard' so to speak. It was awkward for Charlotte to distribute weight like this but she did not find it impossible. Once situated Charlotte increased her hover height, and took to the plan that Faithe had expressed. She moved quickly to get close enough to the woman whose bag they had gone to collect. "HEY! CATCH!" Faithe shouted as they got close enough to Odyss and Roxanne she waited just long enough to ensure she got Roxannes attention before launching the bag towards its owner. "Okay, back to Teriyaki." Faithe stated looking down to Charlotte. She still wasn't so sure about ghost types, but at least this one seemed pretty good. Charlotte responded by turning around and keeping enough height that they wouldn't catch any unwanted attention from the fight. "SIS YOUR TURN TO CATCH!" Faithe shouts as she pulls a berry from the snack pocket in her pouch, food items were kept separate from her other goods in the main bag, she learned that the hard way, glitter donuts may look pretty but they aren't fun to eat. Faithe launched the berry down to Teriyaki who had continued to back step as far as she could from the fight. She snatched the berry and consumed it right away she knew its properties, and after that heavy blow from the Cloyster she needed it. It didn't matter that she wasn't to keen on the flavor personally. "These things are really strong, I mean I guess you already figured that out. But dont take any unnecessary risks down there okay!" Faithe adds as she looks down on the chaos. "Hey... Charlotte. Your doing a great job. Thank you." Faithe adds softly as she looks down towards her new ghost friend.
"It is my pleasure, miss Faithe." Charlotte responds with a happy tone to her soft voice.{combat}

His elegant braid he once had was now in chuncks as it had been fairly tangled. That was something that Marcellus was able to help with. Many of times he's had to assist his friend Emiri with her hair quite often. She had much more hair than she knew what to do with, and often didn't do anything with it. The fossils seemed to be targetting him. He was thankful for Novu's training otherwise he may not have been able to handle the battle. "Novu, keep attacking the Omastar unti; it releases you!" Alatus hissed when the tentacle first hit him but didn't protest beyond that. He was just glad that Gandor hadn't been targeted again. The Ekans was incredibly stubborn. Instead of letting go of the Omastar after it attacked him, he tightened around it even further. He wasn't letting the fossil get away any time soon.

"Odyss. Get ready." Kintaro called to his Chesnaught as he came in with the group that had Roxanne in tow. He turned his head slightly when Josette had greeted them but didn't answer her. A quick glance down to his injured hand before he folded both hands behind his back to hide the damage. It was much harder to hide the wince as he held his hands. He watched the melee among all the Pokemon, trying to factor what would happen next. Gandor was close to falling but still he worked hard at doing as much damage as he could. Somehow this didn't bother him the way Marshall had. There was a lot going on and he couldn't afford to let Gandor's enthusiasm falter. "Gandor! Focus on one at a time!" He called out to his Rotom. He didn't have a problem with Gandor being so eager to dole out damage, but if he spread his attention out too much then they all might decide to return the favor. He was uncertain. Getting Cloyster to lay off of Teriyaki wasn't a bad choice, he was just more concerned about his own Pokemon than Faithe's Blaziken. Apparently Gandor disagreed.

sharkeep Faithe Elfy rookerAs the group began to move to safety, and battle, the aquarium began to groan once again all around the trainers and Pokémon. The domes and tubes were built to withstand the immense pressure of all of the water in the bay, but now that there was a weak-link in the tunnels it would seem it was starting to fail. As the metal infrastructure around them groaned, the sound of glass shattering was heard in the distance as it would seem more tunnels were starting to flood and fill with water. Meanwhile, Roxanne wasn't concerning herself with her safety from the dome, she was more concerned with the trainer who was especially surfing on her Chandelure. That was a sight she had never seen before, and she couldn't help but grip the Chesnaught a bit tighter. The red head seemed to have done it though, she had gotten her her bag. The trainer tossed it to her which was easy for her to catch. "Thank you!" Roxanne called out tot he flying trainer, and looked back to the male who originally came to help her. "Thank you for helping me, and giving her the idea to get my bag too. I might have been in trouble if you hadn't come" The gym leader offered to Vale. She then pat the chest of the grass starter and began to climb out of his arms. "Thanks for keeping me safe, but I'm going to have to do my part now, big guy." She told him and eased herself onto her feet. Now that she wasn't running and dodging for her life, the pain of her injuries were setting in. Roxanne limped her way over to the trainers, and secured her bag on tight, and pulled a Pokeball out. She let out her Geodude. "Alright Geodude, punch that omastar into next week" She called as the Geodude let out a cry and moved into action, it raced forward and and punched it's rocky fist into the fossil and knocked it backwards out of the grasp of the snake, and forcing it to let go of the Bulbsaur. Once it landed on the counter Roxanne once was on, it recoiled into it's shell defeated.
The two remaining fossils noticed the fall of one of their allies, and a new Pokémon on the field. They needed to start moving in to win the fight. The Kabutops moved to attack once more setting it's cross hairs on Teriyaki. Using it's blades it began to slash at the fire starter, getting two good slashing hits on her. While the Cloyster whirled around to the Ekans that was holding onto the Omastar and began to slash at her with it's spiked shell by spinning around like a top rapidly. {Battle Overview(click)}

He very much didn't like the sounds the whole place was making all of sudden. Sure, they should had expected that eventually, as the place was not build to withstand a flood and all the water from outside (plus hefty bonus from the storm?) getting inside, but hey.. couldn't the structure be nice and wait for them to leave before breaking apart? That would be really nice. Vale would also prefer if the girl went to get the bag normally, rather than standing up on a Pokemon like that.. while wearing a skirt on top of all. And not toss it like a slingshot, but it did the trick, thankfully. But he isn't going to bind her bones together if the falls down from that high and breaks something. He is on a vacation, despite everything going to hell, thanks you very much.
At least, inch by inch, they reached the other trainers and Josette (he didn't even notice her going there, but alright). He grimaced, as he eyed the two strangers up close. The girl really looked like she need assistance, in multiple fields. The man was clearly hiding his hands behind his back and his expression said everything. Seriously, what was with everyone just getting themselves hurt here? Vale knew for sure his back was bruised and all, but that wasn't the same. And he didn't look like he was dying, at least.
"Scratches are still worrying, if a Pokemon caused them. I don't think their claws are necessarily dirty or anything and water likely cleaned most of the dirt, but still." he pointed out, once he registered what she said to Jynx. Gabites weren't all that big or heavy, but given her small posture, it might end up a lot more deadlier.. or just more bone-breaking.
He then bit down a complain and need to order Roxanne to stay on the Chesnaught - especially since she was clearly limping. But who was he to order the gym leader around, even if he meant well?
"No problem. Who would want to see someone become a fossil food?" he asked, despite him very much planning on feeding strangers to the fossils earlier, to buy himself (and Marcellus') time to escape. But hey, turns out having other people alive with their Pokemons doing something was actually far more useful, what a shocker. Even though two of them already fainted and there was no end on sight, but it still works. Kind of?
"What were they feeding them, anyways? I don't think they are supposed to be that tough. I mean-" he gesticulated at the remaining two fossils. "I know they are normally part-Rock, but they aren't here. Unless they didn't tell us about something crucial, which wouldn't be too surprising."
Eh, he probably shouldn't share weird theories with those strangers and the gym leader, no matter how curious he was about their own. Unless they didn't care, which would be to be expected. Usually people just carried on, blissfully unaware, and that was all to satisfy them. But that didn't work with him - if there was something to be discovered (hey, just like the name of the isle), then he is very much interested in getting to the bottom of it. No matter how hard. And since there is already a mystery and an 'anomaly', he wanted to know how did the park manager's fucked it up so badly. And were they not hiding, forcing the unsuspecting guests to fight for their lives alone.
Geodude's sudden appearance spooked the Dewott, but at least it dealt with the Omastar swiftly. And by the lord, they needed some allies at full strength, especially since two of them fainted. Well, he tried to help the Blaziken, but he was only one Pokemon and there were three enemies.. actually, two now. While Cloyster still seemed to have a bit more energy, it was the Kabutops that bothered him the most and thus he picked the big fossil as his target now. Feeling motivated, despite tiredness, Caspian rushed towards the opponent and pounced at it, aiming to land on his flat head and land a Punch between his eyes. Hopefully, while clinging to his head, the otter will be out of the range of the blades or from whatever Cloyster might come up with.. unless she would be willing to damage Kabutops on the way to get him. Could they accidentally 'friend fire' each other?

Hanako decided to run straight into the fray and retrieve her Ekans. He was still partially coiled but trying to gather up nearly seven feet of snake in the middle of a battle wasn't exactly easy. She grabbed just enough of him to move him and let the rest drag on the floor as she positioned herself in front of Teriyaki. She didn't want anything taking a swipe at her injured friend before Faithe could return her. A Dewott was keeping the Kabutops busy and the Omastar had been knocked out but the Cloyster was a problem. Or it would have been had Riven not followed after her. Punching a Cloyster hadn't exactly been on her to-do list but there she was- hand freshly bruised after the hit collided with its shell and her tentacles wrapped around its spikes as she tried to pull it towards herself.

- Bad Egg is a hold item that immediately will attach itself to one of your active party Pokémon of your choice.
- It will not count as a hold item, so you do not need to replace its current hold item if it is holding one.
- Whether the Pokémon of choice is physically holding the Egg it will still receive its effect.

Faithe went wide eyed as the kabutops struck her poke-sister once more. Teriyaki lurched forward and lost her footing dropping to one knee, the attack was too much for the bird "Sis... top ball." Teriyaki barely managed to articulate to Faithe. Faithe numbly grabbed the ball that Teriyaki told her to grab, sure enough it was Teriyaki's pokeball. She wasn't sure when Teriyaki had put it on her satchel but it was a good thing that she had done so. Faithe used the ball to return Teriyaki, and now that her sister was not visible anymore, and therefore able to prevent Faithe from making any stupid decisions her eyes set hard and fast on the Kabutops.
A low angry growl escaped from Faithe as she shifted her weight on Charlotte she clutched her hands into fists shifted into a combat mindset and then prepared to leap from Charlotte directly at the kabutops. However the chandalure was not about to allow this foolhardy decision and shifted her hovering pattern, with a drop and a twist Faithe went from preparing to leap into the fray to falling into a pointedly awaiting arm of Charlotte catching her by her belt leaving the girl to dangle for a bit from her bad decisions "I cannot allow that course of action Miss Faithe." Charlotte states tenderly as she held Faithe aloft for a few moments more before lowering the girl and releasing her. "Allow me to enter combat in your stead as it is, after all, part of my expected duties." the chandalure explains to the fiery ginger haired trainer.
Faithe's eyes flashed angrily to the ghost but she lowered her gaze and relented, she knew she was not physically capable of fighting something like this. It wasn't like punching out a misbehaving human. These pokemon were very dangerous, and they had defeated Teriyaki in only three stikes. "...Fine..." she spits with rage "just... don't be reckless" she adds as she looks back up to the ghost "get out of here Hana." Faithe states as it sank in that Hana had come out there too, her tone more stern than she had likely intended and also rather unwarranted even if she was afraid of her friend getting hurt. She wasn't being allowed to fight the fossils, she wasn't going to let her new friend fight them either. Charlotte sailed overhead her arms reared back she zipped past Riven and slammed what served as her fist into the face of the Kabutops intent on delivering the displeasure of her new trainer directly to the fossil in the most effective format available to her a big punch. "You have brought this upon yourself." Charlotte states as she assaults the kabutops.

She seemed to put herself between Josette and the battle while she answered what happened. Josette listened to the woes they faced, as she reached out, and delicately placed her hands on the small woman's shoulders and slowly twisted their placements, so Josette's back was once again to the battle at hand, having traded places once again as if she wasn't doing anything. "Oh no, Gabite can be nasty beasts to come across. Here especially." She spoke in a calm friendly tone, rubbing the cyan haired trainer's shoulder gently, She was about to comment about the male, 'Taro' seemingly not being normal which was normal for him it seemed? But before she could Vale arrived and began to comment on it. She looked back to the male as Vale explained he might want it looked at, but the young woman ended the conversation stating they'll talk about it later. She clasped a hand over her chest, surprised at the suddenness of the conversation ending, however the conversation for sure was over once the battle took a turn and the Cloyster knocked out her Ekans. The young woman took off running into the line of fire. Josette reached out to try and stop her but was too late. It was no place for someone as injured as her. She looked to the quiet male who had arrived with her. "Someone might want to stop her,"She chimed. She wasn't about to run into a battle that Marcellus hadn't asked her to do so. This wasn't a battle she wanted to fight.
XXXXXMarcellus was letting Josette handle the other trainers, and left her to her own devices. He was delighted to see Roxanne and Vale return to safety, and the Gym leader even entering the battle. She was a gym leader, so he wasn't surprised when she game in hot and knocked out the Omastar despite having defeated her in the past. She was another ally, and took out an opponent. This was a positive. What wasn't, was the surrounding dome groaning. Marcellus looked back to the tunnel they emerged from, and then to the tunnel the other trainers arrived in, seeing that tunnel having failed as well. Their exit windows were now closing. They had achieved their goal, but he knew if they didn't defeat these Pokémon, they would follow them. Not only that, they would then have to battle them in the water. On their own turf. That was something Marcellus was not willing to take part in. He looked back to the battle and noticed that two of the other trainers were now in the midst of the fray."What on Earth-" Marcellus commented out loud as he saw the two woman in the middle of this very dangerous battle. He had seen both of their Pokémon get knocked out, but this was not the appropriate response to take. The Omastar was now off of Novu, so this freed him to attack. "Now that you're let go, go for the Kabutops, we don't want it attacking the trainers!" He called out, as Novu was huffing. It was a very tough battle, but he couldn't let Marcellus, or his new Pokémon friend down. He saw the two humans, and began charging to try and take the attention off of them, and rammed the fossil. While the battle commenced Marcellus made his way over to Vale as he returned back to safety. "I wasn't aware you were so heroic," Marcellus commented trying to muster a friendly smile, but he may have failed given the current stressful situation. "What do you make of this-"He added, and then gestured to the woman who were putting themselves in danger."-situation" he asked, wanting to see what Vale made of the new comers. Kintaro won another exasperated cry from Gandor as Hanako moving meant Kintaro was moving. Josette didn't even get to finish her sentence for the tall man to start wading after his traveling partner. The noise he made had to be masking some pain because otherwise there was a special level of rage Hanako had unlocked and that just didn't seem like something Kintaro did. She gathered Alatus, Gandor was now attached to her hair, Kera was attached to Kabutops, and the structural damage was taking its toll. He couldn't feel his hand, which was definitely a good thing having it tangled in Hanako's shirt collar. "We are going to discuss THIS later!" He snarled, already working on dragging the small woman away even as the numbness suddenly wasn't so numb anymore. He was confident whatever he did at the end of this he would require extensive therapy to get his hand working in any capacity, let alone normally. He just glowered at the Jynx and men on his way back over to them. "What, precisely, do you think you are waiting for? They cannot disengage until we are out of the way! GO!" He snapped, swinging his left arm wildly forward urging everyone to leave this room before it flooded. It might not make a difference, but they wouldn't be trapped in a battlefield when the water came in and that was one degree safer than now. Why was no one else running? Was he the only one who could hear the metal? Was he somehow uniquely qualified to know what a catastrophic structural failure sounded like? Problems for the survivors. Kintaro was wading right past the others in an effort to leave with Hanako, Alatus, and Gandor in tow.

sharkeep Faithe Elfy rookerChaos seemed to have filled the area as two Pokemon had been knocked out and as the surrounding tunnels began to flood below the domed area. Thankfully for the trainers, that the area they were battling on were lifted above, so they did not have to worry about the flooding. Yet. The two opposing fossils watched the battle unfold, seemingly unaware, or didn't care about the status of the structure around them. The Kabutops took the attacks fairly well still, however the closyter seemed to be slowing down and recoiling into it's shell much more often. Both prehistoric Pokemon noticed the two, and soon to be three, humans run out into the battle field. "Stop! Get out of there!" Roxanne called out to the young woman who went in to rescue their fainted Pokemon. The Kabutops had gotten distracted by the onslaught of attacks thrown it's way, the Cloyster however was a bit more free as it spied the much more vulnerable humans. As the male went into to pull the other trainers out, the Cloyster closed it's shell and began to spin like a top once more and went for the three trainers who willingly ran into it's grasp. It moved very swiftly prepared to take them out, but as it neared it grew entangled in the tentacles from the Sirene. It had just barely been able to graze the trainer's legs before being stopped. The Cloyster angrily fought the Pokemon's grasp, as it earned itself a swift punch from the Sirene and Geodude. This was all the Cloyster had left as it's shell closed around itself once more and it fell still on it's side. The Kabutops however was far from over, as he turned on the Pokemon that had been holding his attention. It let out a loud cry as it ran forwards towards the Chandlure, and slammed it's hard head against the new opponent.
Once Roxanne had let out a deep sigh of relief, now that she was out of the way of becoming fossil food, it seemed three others ran head on into it. Once they seemed to have been save, she returned her partial attention to the trainers. Roxanne thought for a moment, sifting through her past years of learning. "Well Cloyster are water ice types normally. I'm not sure if their species have evolved typing, but I haven't learned or read anywhere that they had any other typing, unless there are quite a bit of discoveries made here." Roxanne commented. She was well versed in Fossils and Battling, so this should be her cup of tea, but she just felt to... out of the loop it felt. She didn't have all of the information so she found it hard to come up with any exact answers. "Well, It may have to do with our Pokemon's inability to use their usual abilities. They're attacking with all their might, but this is nothing compared to what they could do with an energy ball, or magnitude. It's possible these prehistoric Pokemon are much more use to battling like this." She purposed. She had no idea if it was true or not but it seemed to make sense to her. {Battle Overview(click)}

Hanako couldn't see the damage but Riven could. The Cloyster was lucky it had closed its shell after it fainted. She would have been ripping out every soft bit she could get her hands on otherwise. Since that wasn't an option, she turned on the Kabutops instead. She wrapped her tentacles around its legs, hoping to trip it up if it tried to flee. Its blades weren't a concern at all. She could deal with a few cuts so long as she got to punch the fossil in its face. The poor Kabutops had just turned into an outlet for the Sirene's aggression.

Charlotte took note of the incoming Cloyster attack and dipped quickly her limbs catching under Faithe's arms and lifting her out of the way of the attack just in the nick of time "REMOVE YOURSELF FROM THE AREA OF COMBAT POST HASTE MISS FAITHE!" Charlotte gathered up her most demanding and mighty voice, it was very wrong to be ordering her trainer around, but it would be more wrong if she permitted her trainer to be harmed in the execution of her duties. Just as she delivered this demand the Kabutops slammed its head into Charlotte from behind. Charlotte let out a startled grunt as she worked to not drop Faithe ontop of what was easily the most threatening pokemon in the area. Faithe flipped over and put herself atop Charlotte once more.
"I understand, sorry Charlotte. We will get out of here." Faithe states tempering herself trying to keep in mind the actual threat that was occurring. On top of these fossils attacking them, she was pretty sure she had more than once now heard the structure itself groan and complain. Which really could only be a bad thing. Faithe fetched an Oran berry out of her bag and fed it to Charlotte before she used her floating friend as a rather effective springboard and jumped after Hana and Kintaro. She may have been mad that kabutops had harmed her sister-mon but that didn't mean she should behave completely recklessly and get herself hurt by it too. Teriyaki would have already yelled at her by now, and Charlotte was doing her best despite how Faithe had treated her at first. Which meant she was once more in the water, how frustrating.
Charlotte bobbed in place her head spinning from the impact she responded to Faithe's actions by making sure her movements propelled Faithe in the correct direction, and of course accepting the berry instead of just having it splatted on her face which would have been gross, and sticky and entirely unpleasant.
Faithe chased after her friends she did not see Hana get hit by the Cloyster, but as she scrambled after them she was fairly certain she could see things that hinted at her friends potential new injury. They really needed to get somewhere, not wet, and where they could take care of the various injuries plaguing these people.
