It wasn't like Vale was purposefully walking slowly, and if his Pokemon insisted otherwise, he was a liar. There was no question that he didn't really want to go back, but what else could he really do. Alone he had really little chance of getting through the island in one piece, and he wasn't just some coward, to run away like that anyways.
On the way to the place, they of course ran into yet another park Pokemon, but this time the view actually made him grimace. It was just some young Lapras, but stranded on land - it looked rather pitiful. Dry (or somewhat dry) land wasn't a place for those Pokemons, after all, and it had no idea how it even got there. Noir still scared it off, guiding it to somewhat more wetter area, but despite the 'fight' not being hard, his Pokemon really looked tired. Prediensis yawned and shook his body, trying to muster some more energy, but Vale decided that it was better moment than ever to withdrew him.
He stretched with a yawn again, before approaching the spot the group should be. And they were there still, somehow. Everyone seemed somewhat okay, and dried than before - especially Josette and Marcellus. He seemed to be talking with the cyan-haired girl, who was now accompanied by the Litisaur. There was also some weird, brown Pokemon, that everyone seemed to completely ignore. He wasn't going to be the first to directly acknowledge it then, and pointedly ignored its and the other man's presence.
Instead, he turned to Marcellus, since he was listening most of the time. "Couldn't find anyone. Neither other 'survivors', or even park staff. Either they are hiding or trying to actually figure out what happened on other parts of the park."
In the meantime Kieran looked at the other people and Pokemons. There were more people and Pokemons than he actually expected - and talking to each one of them separately will be just a huge pain in the ass. For now he settled on waving at Josette and Inanna in greeting, since they haven't seen each other in.. hour or so. Maybe a bit longer. And it seemed nice to greet them again, even from a distance.
"What I did found was many Pokemon on the path. I only assume it leads somewhere behind the stadium itself." he continued, looking for a moment at his Pokemon, to see how he was coping with strangers, before looking at Marcellus again. "And not just Pokemons from aquarium or even aviary, but ones from other sanctuaries too. We aren't all that far from the herbivore and carnivore parts, so it's probably a matter of time until we will get Tyrantrums fancy free around every corner."
Vale brushed his hair with his hand, or at least he tried, because it was badly tangled and awful in touch. Afterwards he turned to the cyan-haired girl, eyeing her bandaged leg. It was a bit unfortunate a Pokemon insisted on lying on her, but he didn't see any blood in here and neither the Pokemon seemed to scent it, so maybe not all was bad. "Is the leg giving you any trouble? Besides the Pokemon leaning on it, I mean. Itching, bleeding?"
He wasn't going to ask how are they dry all sudden. He was getting there from moving around, and besides the cold, it wasn't all that bothersome.

Or, she might have, had the group not found itself ambushed by a very large creature in the trees. How did that even sneak up on them!? Tonya lurched out in front of Dana without a moment's hesitation. Duchess yowled at the wild Nasikeras and arched up, hissing ferociously. Zoey just yelped, then cackled as the great beast bellowed at them. "Oh, boy! You guys are in for it now--OW!" She had tried to dive into the shadows before being painfully reminded that she had lost that ability for now. "Uh-oh..." The one-eyed Gible rubbed her little snout and stared up at Nasikeras with renewed concern. Tonya bounded up to the creature and squealed as ferociously as she could manage, making Nasikeras flinch back at the initial charge. No, she wasn't a threat, but he wasn't exactly in the best headspace to be dealing with the bravest--or more likely stupidest--bite-sized snack in the world. Zoey took the initial hesitation as a sign that she could get away with messing with the creature if she was clever about it. She waddled right up as fast as her stumpy legs could carry her, screaming at the top of her lungs and kicking up dirt like she was somehow going to intimidate this thing by being loud and messy. Nasikeras slowly turned, swatting Zoey away with its tail which made Duchess spit as she lunged forward. If anybody was going to put that imbecile in her place, it would be the Meowth! The fact Nasikeras didn't just eat one of them was a miracle all its own, but the clearly disoriented predator flailed and struggled just to deal with the miniature nuisances.
It staggered and stumbled and fell heavily, nearly squashing Zoey who fell into the looming shadow a mere moment before impact. Raucous laughter pierced the clearing Nasikeras' tantrum had made. Zoey wasn't coming back out of the darkness anytime soon! Dana examined the monstrous Nasikeras calmly once it fell. It was still conscious, but it was clearly exhausted after it had escaped its enclosure. She offered a soft smile, hopeful that she could somehow communicate to Nasikeras that she didn't want to hurt it. The ball touched his snout as she had rather foolishly approached the fossil. It was pulled inside and Dana let the ball shake in her hands until it toned and settled. "I guess that's one less threat to deal with later." She mused, looking to Flareon as the kind smile melted into an uneasy one. Nasikeras was captured, nobody got seriously hurt, it was fine. For the sake of her leg, she decided to focus on coaxing her Litisaur into a Pokeball. She was not about to make the same mistake she had with Alatus a second time! It didn't take too much effort. The Litisaur near jumped at the opportunity to get in the Pokeball. All he needed to know was the Pokeball was a safe space for him that his flower could carry with her. The bigger, scarier fossils couldn't get him as long as he was in the safety ball! By the time she had tuned back into the conversation, it seemed as though everyone had decided to group back up. "Should we try to check the other areas? We can't be the only survivors, right? If we try elsewhere we're bound to run into someone." Staying where they were wouldn't do them any favors. They were completely exposed. It was only a matter of time before something bigger and meaner than the fossils that had picked on them already decided to take offense to their presence. She really needed to get Alatus back up just in case. "My leg is okay. No discomfort outside of the normal amount. Thank you for asking!"
While Hanako conversed with the others, Riven decided to approach Kintaro. She would rather have her tentacles pulled off one by one than take orders from him but now that they had a giant fossil tagalong she would prefer to have some real plan for what to do about it. Everyone else seemed perfectly content to ignore it. Save for Hana who wanted to pet it. This put Kintaro in charge as far as she was concerned. "What's the plan to work around...that." She kept her voice low so not to attract the oversized fossil's attention. The temperament of the thing was a mystery to her and she didn't want to find out it could switch to aggressive in an instant. Best not to bother it if they could avoid it. "Odyss should stay in his ball for now. I'll carry her whenever we move on."Odyss was big compared to most of the other Pokemon that were out and about. If the Dontoventris was going to view anything as a threat, it would be him.

She was soft spoken and not as explosive with energy, like Liz was, or as argumentative as Julian, Vale, or the other male. Marcellus wondered if that was just a trait most males had. He personally thought he wasn't argumentative and much more tactical to get what he wanted, but he was mostly raised by his mother since his father was taken from him. He was curious if that might be why. He wasn't sure but it made him curious. He hadn't found any others, just feral Pokémon along the way. He stated he was worried they might see quite a few larger Pokémon head this way with their proximity to the other sanctuaries. That was a very valid point. Marcellus thought for a moment, trying to imagine which direction would even be safe to go. As he did, he noticed Vale running his fingers through his tangled hair. Marcellus reached into his bag and pulled out a brush he had brought originally for Emiri. With how much hair she had it was a wonder how little she knew to take care of it. Often he was the one detangling it for her, so Vale's would be no problem. Marcellus pulled out an ornate looking brush that appeared to be fairly new and clean. Without really thinking to ask, he moved over to Vales tangled hair, and if he wasn't stopped he would start working through his hair fairly gently. Slowly brushing through the tangles ends to top, working his way through the tangles that were once a braid. As Marcellus worked through Vale's hair he smiled to the Cyan haired trainer. She was clearly thankful for the psychic drying, which he appreciated. She introduced herself as Hanako, 'Hana' and Riven, and then Zinna as he popped up on Hana's head and holding a makeshift parasol. "It's very nice to meet you Hanako, I just wish it had been under better circumstances." Marcellus greeted, and then smiling to her Pokémon, as Josette returned Riven's wave with her own. "I'm sure Hanako is, but I'm also thankful for your help on getting us out, and of course, leading the way out." Marcellus spoke, thanking Riven for helping with Hanako and Faithe, and then reaching over and giving Zinna a soft pat on the head. Afterwards he turned his attention back to de-tangling Vale's hair, assumingly he had allowed it thus far. He would make quick work of the tangles, and then begin to braid his hair for him. It may not be as elegant as it had been before, but in a quick moment he assumed it would do. Hana mentioned possibly searching for other survivors. Normally Marcellus would just hunker down with his Pokemon, and keep safe until he knew he could get out okay, but that wasn't the correct option here. Marcellus side stepped, giving Vale back his personal space, and placed a hand on his hip as he thought. "Vale did mention that he hadn't seen anyone near by, but I suppose it couldn't hurt to take a look around as we go." Marcellus offered, he knew he shouldn't want to leave everyone else on their own, as well as he was in much less danger he thought with his Pokemon's abilities back. He knew his dearest friend Emiri was still out there, but he knew she was much stronger than he was. She was most likely already soaring around rescuing people. "I just don't think we should travel further onto the island, or any closer to the carnivore sanctuary than we already are." Marcellus offered. He didn't mind searching the island to those in need, but he wasn't wanting to run head first into more Pokemon like the ones in the aquarium. "I'm guessing everyone must be in hiding. The announcement was to seek shelter, I'm sure most made moves for the buildings to hide in." He offered again, meaning that they might not see people just out and about. Marcellus listened to Vale and Hana speak about her leg and it's status. Meanwhile, ignoring what was happening with his near by Pokemon.XXXXXJosette had returned Caspian's wave. He was happy to see the friendly, now large, face back in the group. While behind her, Inanna was still drifting back and forth minding her business, deciding to keep all of the water life at bay and in the waters. As she did this, a barraskewda launched out of the water and clamped down on one of Inanna's point. Inanna couldn't help the scream that escaped her...gem. As she was attacked in surprise. The Starmie frantically flailed back and forth until she quickly whirled herself around, flinging the Pokemon off of her, and used hydro pump on the fish to send it back into the water with a good force.

Faithe stared quietly at the group for a bit, they seemed to have everything well enough in hand. So she decided to do something else, and be a bit impulsive. Faithe broke off from the group this time in search of some of those vendor buildings they had gone to before. She was cold, wet, and hungry so one of those locations would be nice. She needed an opportunity to heal and check on her pokemon as well. Teriyaki had taken a pretty solid beating, maybe there was even a pokecenter kiosk somewhere around here. The weather had improved some, at least it was no longer a freak thunderstorm and the rain was only a light drizzle if at all any more. Once she was away from the group she took the tie out of her hair and shook some of the water out and grumbled about it some to herself. She Looked to the sky, seeing the occasional flying type flit past, they weren't far from the aviary so that was of no surprise, she just hoped none of the big ones took issue with the ginger haired girl walking around beneath them.
Before too long Faithe found herself back out in the more central area, the games that had been setup for the grand opening were crashed about, having clearly been in the path of something. She snapped her fingers in a weak sign of frustration and let out a sigh, it would have been fun to have played some of those games. There was a seating area with some umbrella tables, that looked a little rough at this point, Faithe walked up to one of the seats and plopped down into one of them with a decided splat, the seats were wet, not like it mattered though SHE was probably wetter than the chairs. "Stupid boat... stupid island... I hate water." she murmurs in frustration.

He must had walked right into introductions. Better late than never, he guessed. "Well, since we are at it.. I'm Valentine, or just Vale for short. That's all."
Again, he wouldn't mind if the circumstances of their meeting were better - maybe then he would leave a better first impression than this. But it wasn't like it was his fault, not entirely. He blamed the way the whole visit turned out, for the most part. Other part were other people getting on his nerves. At least it seemed like he wasn't the only one being bothered, as he noticed the Sirene walk up to the other man, probably to give him a piece of her mind. If there was one thing Vale learned from having his own Sirene, was that they never shied away from speaking up whenever they didn't like something or someone or disagreed on something. Normally he didn't quite like when Cassilda did that, but now it was satisfying to see someone else get such treatment.
He was looking at them, when Marcellus suddenly moved closer and touched his hair, before starting to properly brush it. Vale tensed up, totally not expecting it and reacting moreso like anyone would to being touched out of nowhere. And anyone normal would probably step away and ask the man to stop, but he kind of liked it. Even though normally he didn't actually like when strangers touched his hair without asking, but considering everything that had happened and was happening, that was a really nice feeling - putting some tangled, stubborn parts of his hair that kind of hurt when brushed. But Marcellus was taking his time and doing it as gently as he could, so he didn't complain and relaxed again.
"I sure do hope they weren't hiding or trying to in the tunnels." he muttered simply, as Zoroark was meanwhile busy dealing with some flying, gray Pokemon. Well, whatever that was, it didn't matter as it went down easy, but it only proved that Pokemons are changing places swiftly. "We probably would hear them thanks to an echo, but w- ouch-"
He winced as Marcellus tried to work on a particularly nasty tangle. His hair definitely required a lot of work, although normally it's not such a huge pain in the ass, when they are properly washed and straightened - but they weren't in such conditions, and had to work with what they got. It was still rather nice of the other man to do that for him - and he even braided it. It was simple and not as stable as Vale would do, but it was still better than nothing.
"Thanks you, it helps a ton." he said that just in time for weird noise echo in the distance, soon followed by a static and a voice. He raised his towards where he thought the noise was coming from, trying to understand the message. It was heavily distorted, but after piecing those few words together, he could come to an easy conclusion. "Seems like now we know where everyone went. Or is heading to."
Now he stepped away from Marcellus, to assess the situation and their group. Only now he noticed the red-haired girl was missing.. she must had went on a walk too, all while they were talking and what not. Hopefully she will hear the announcement too, and won't get lost - he didn't want to spend eternity now looking for her, and just wanted to already start moving to the hub.
"We definitely should get moving now. No buts and ifs." he gives them five minutes. Maybe less. And then he will leave towards the nursery anyways - whether or not they actually start moving isn't his problem.

Faithe sat for a bit grumbling about the weather and circumstances when she heard an odd sound, the intercom system crackled to life and a disjointed voice came through it. "Get… main entrance…” she heard most of it, but the last bit was what told her what she really needed to hear, Faithe looked back towards where she had left the group, and paused in thought. She knew they would have heard the message, and honestly they were doing pretty good so it wasn't like they needed her there. She hummed in thought and then nodded, the best course of action was to head for the entrance and meet up with her new friends there. Faithe remembered the map, and had a pretty decent idea of where she needed to go to get to the main entrance. She needed to head through the nursery area first. Faithe stood and made sure her things were secured before heading off as carefully as she could afford to do so while making good time to the nursery.

Hanako wanted to squeal when she heard the announcement. They were going to get off of the island! As soon as they were safe she would never leave Kalos again. She took a moment to get to her feet. Her legs were killing her but she would have all the time in the world to deal with them once they were off of the island. She went straight to Kintaro. The others had already moved on but she wasn't going anywhere without him. "Looks like it's just us walking together." She hoped Faithe made it to the entrance okay. Hanako grabbed Kintaro's uninjured hand but before she could try leading him back towards the docks she was snatched up by Riven. She pouted but did her best not to squirm. Riven might accidentally drop her if she tried to be difficult. She still kept her hold on Taro's hand, refusing to let go of him for even a second. The last thing she wanted was to be separated from him again.

Odyss was released as Kintaro had to run to keep up. "Odyss! Cover!" Called out his trainer, leaving the Chesnaught only momentarily confused. Gallimelus was running like it seemed to understand something was wrong, but toward humans instead of away. "Hey! Buddy! Back up! Go that way!" Odyss shoved the little raptor-like Pokemon away, directing it toward the trees he thought would be a good cover. As long as they all found places to hide it would be fine, right?

With everyone's abilities returning, Dana got to see firsthand that Flareon wasn't just messing around with a severed head. Burst's head rolled away as soon as the Pokemon figured out their abilities were functioning again and Dana hustled to chase after the bouncing, tumbling ball. Flareon's friend really was OK! That was a relief! If a little creepy. Duchess hurried to catch up when she stumbled thanks to a Pyukumuku tangling her paws. She hissed ferociously at it and slashed it once. Then mewled in protest when Dana caught it and started sprinting to catch back up to Burst and Flareon. Bad call! She shouldn't have lingered! "Wait for me!" Cried out the woman, hoping she didn't just lose her short path to freedom.

From where she was Dana realized that Burst wasn't just some strange Pokemon with an unusual head. "What...is that?" She asked, wonder and delight filling her as she observed the colorful Ultra Beast. Dana was a well-learned girl, but she had little influence outside of Unova itself. The Ultra Beasts and the events they had caused in Alola were a mystery. She could only gasp in awe when Burst began to make its colors shift and glitter as it conjured similar sprays in its hands and threw them straight into the air! Dana yelped initially, afraid she might be leaving herself open to attack. The frightened cry quickly melted into a delighted shout and she bounced in place where she had fallen over. Burst had its new audience distracted but the true goal of summoning something else had been successful. Another terrified scream escaped Dana as Emiri descended with Charizard and her newly acquired Anisopteryx. Introductions went quickly, and Dana was offered a ride back to the entrance as she had ultimately missed the announcement across the island. The blonde and Emiri's Charizard shared wary looks, neither one fully trusting the other. It was still a way off the island, and Dana was more afraid of the giant flying fossil than she was of Charizard. Who at least had a saddle to travel with.

Having won her challenge against the great apex sky predator, Emiri took her mount on the Anisopteryx to start their search from above, while Charizard was able to safely fly beneath them in his shadow. No other Anisopteryx or aerial predator was going to come near them now, but this was by no means a show of power for Emiri, she would never. Power over others, power to force her will over others, was never something she exercised or even thought about, even though some could argue that she had the capability to do so. She had formed a bond with this Anisopteryx, it started the first moment they made eye contact with each other, and having shown him the respect that he deserved as a living creature, earning his favor, was everything to her. The Anisopteryx wasn’t a bargaining chip for her own freedom, nor a trophy for her time and peril on this island, he was a partner now, an equal just as she treated each and every one of her Pokemon. She could only imagine what he had been put through when he was created, Azuran had only ever scratched the surface of what he went through when he came to be, scientists surrounding him constantly, contained and probed, prodded and dictated as if he were no more than a formula to be solved. And then to be stuck in an enclosed Aviary, to be shown off like an exhibit, it took a lot of her will to not go back and destroy the aviary more, to make sure that everything got out…
Flying atop the Anisopteryx was everything Emiri could have imagined while she had watched him fly earlier in the day, and she made sure to maintain their level of mutual respect as she had directed him into the air. They were working together now, she could feel it in his movements, and she wanted so much to know what he was truly capable of in the air, but that would be for another time… They were still in the midst of a very trying time, and trying to find Flareon and Burst, and Emiri was trying her best not to fear the worst… It had been hours, there was no telling where they were, if they’d found each other, if they were both okay… But then from the ground, a flurry of fireworks shot into the air, and Emiri’s relief was overwhelming.
As immediately as they could, Emiri and Charizard made their descent and their landing, sweeping up rain water and mud from the ground, and she nearly fell to the ground in trying to run towards Flareon and Burst who too were happy to see her. She could barely manage to hold Flareon in her arms as she leaned into Burst’s embrace, his tall figure looming over her and arching over her as his arms wrapped around her almost twice. She was practically in tears, and profusely thanked the girl that she found with them for her help in finding her two Pokemon and working with them to stay safe, she couldn’t find the words to express her gratitude. They shared a brief moment of introductions when there was a staticy announcement that came out over the island, and Emiri could only hope that Marcellus had heard it too… Now that she had Flareon and Burst, her next mission was to find Marcellus so that they could work together to get off of the island. There was no time to waste, Emiri mounted Tilayro as he offered his wing to her, knowing that Charizard would be amicable in this situation at least to take on a new passenger. Charizard wouldn’t exactly be Emiri’s first choice for assisting someone in travel, but these were the cards they were dealt, and Charizard could deal with it, for now.

Quinn and company managed to drive through the Carnivore Sanctuary and back to the area surrounding the Aviary and Aquarium with relative ease. Though there was the occasional ruckus in the distance, nothing ambushed them and Quinn made sure to stick to the clearer parts of the path as soon as possible. The car’s navigation system quite helped with getting them back on the most direct route. Fortunately for them, the rest of the way was covered in far less vegetation. Though it seemed odd to be driving on paths intended for pedestrians in a full-sized vehicle, Quinn had no time to question that for now. Still, she found it odd and ominous to have not stumbled upon much of anything else so far. There was evidence of struggles occasionally, but only remnants of the past, even if only the recent past. Quinn remained focused and continued driving, speeding up when possible to make it back to the main hub as fast as possible. Her passengers occupied themselves in the car with her. Cyan remained vigilant in his watch of the surrounding scenery while the mysterious Pokemon played with Lux, seemingly dazzled by his lights. Sakura remained quiet as well but seemed to have a look of worry on her face. Quinn noticed this and admittedly felt bad that this time together had gone nothing like planned. She thought of what to say to the Pokemon as they drove to the next section of the park.
