Dewford Town

{Dewford City Gym (Click)}Brawly is the Dewford City's official Gym Leader. He specializes in fighting types, and his well known title is "A big wave in fighting." Brawly is a rather unorthodox Fighting Type Gym Leader. Rather then owning a dojo, or spending his time sparing this his other fellow fighting type Gym Leaders Chuck and Maylene, his passion is in the waters. Brawly, and even his Pokemon, are award winning surfers, especially after training in the rough waves that surround Dewford. Even though his passion is in surfing, he is still a well trained fighter. He has been taught by Bruno of the Elite Four, and has mastered the art of "subtlety" which is a style that turns the opponents attacks against them, as well as "brutality" which attacking the opponent head on. He often helps teach classes with Roxanne at her school because of this. He is also a deep thinker, often comparing the scene of battle to everyday life and vice-versa. He is a very fun loving guy, and is a very optimistic thinker. He believes the world awaits him as the next big wave. He often talks in surfing jargon, and constantly talks about "big waves"- both literal and metaphorical.
Brawly's Gym sits on the out skirts of the City, sitting on one of the island's many cliff sides. The Gym appears to be fairly normal on the outside, contrary to the gym prior. The walls are painted white, while the roof of the Gym his bright red, and forms a rounded dome. Once on the inside, the Gym appears to be an actual gym. The front room is filled with various work out equipment, for both human and Pokemon alike to train on. The gym is open to the public, though usually only the serious work out here with their Pokemon. The Gym trainer can often be found working out with his Pokemon, and after capturing his attention, he'll lead the challenger into a back room which opens up into a room just as large. This is where the actual battle field sits. Brawly is rarely in the back of his gym, so the Gym trainer often has to go and fetch him. The battle field is completely flat, and fairly plain. There is no stands or a place for an audience, just a large empty room with no windows. On each side of the battle field are platforms for Brawly and the challenger to stand on while the battle is taking place, however it appears to the different from the standard battle platform like in the other gyms. It sits a few feet higher, and completely covers the front half of the platform, facing the battle field, in very thick sturdy glass. Once Brawly confirms the challenger is ready, He'll signal the gym trainer who will then turn out all the lights, leaving the room completely pitch black. Brawly requires every Gym Battle here be fought in completely darkness to not only test their bravery, but also test their skill, ability to listen, as well as a bond between trainer and Pokemon.

{Marlie Brigid || Cute Contest Leader (Click)}
Marlie has a love for all pink Pokemon. As such, her entire team is made up of pinks. It's rumored that she has many other Pink Pokemon at home. She tends to stick to Normal and fairy types, but only due to their color, not for any type preference. She's a bubbly and cheerful girl, and loves to chat with people before and after a match. She's always eager for a new friend. In contests, she lets loose every charm her team has to offer. She loves to show others how adorable her own team can be.
