Quanta seemed entirely lost as far as Nick was concerned. Sure, the little bastard was floating right along with them no matter which direction they turned in upon entering the first real town they'd come across since entering this region. And of course, the Porygon's face was as neutral as ever. Still, Nicolai knew the digital entity - and even if he hadn't, his keen sense of 'something's up' was tingling harder than entirely necessary. Still, the redhead said nothing as he accidentally brushed shoulders with another traveler, raising his hand when the man looked back at him and forcing a cheerful smile. "My apologies mate, I should watch where I am walking a little better." He offered. Contrary to how these things usually turned out, the man actually paused, reddening a bit when he realized that he had already begun getting worked up over little more than an accident. The stranger returned the wave, nodding apologetically himself and then continuing down the street with his Pokemon in tow. No sooner had the man disappeared from sight than Flux emerged from Nick's collar, snapping a stern look at the redhead who only smiled without looking down in the slightest. "Calm down okay? We needed the money and that man was clearly well off. Did you see the shiny collar on his Rattata? Who even puts something like that on a rat to begin with?" To punctuate his point, Nick gently lifted the wallet he had lifted from the stranger, not even needing to peer inside to notice the bills bulging inside of it. He had wanted to go straight - and he would. A common criminal could never realize the dream that Nicolai had in store for the world. But... He would never reach said dream if they didn't get some decent food and lodging soon anyway. They were worn - which the man was typically alright with. Being worn and weary kept him sharp most of the time. But even Nick had his limits, and now that he was getting a little older he was starting to realize the things that he left unattended would add up and become a burden down the road. They passed the facility known as the Petalburg gym on the way to his true destination, causing the man to pause, his hands still in his pockets as he turned to face the structure. Nicolai's gaze might have seemed admirable to most, but that was an automatic expression he had grown to use to avoid suspicion. No, he was actually scrutinizing it quite intensely and continued to do so for several long minutes. Perhaps not now - But the human male had zero doubts in his mind that soon he would begin shattering the trainers at these facilities one by one until he could get what he needed. With a polite smirk, he forced his attention away from the gym and continued down the road towards more pressing matters.

Flux, contrary to Nicolai's observation - was only half right. Yes, the ditto was irritated he had lifted a stranger's wallet, and yes, she had hoped against hope that they would be going legitimate as the trainer had mentioned multiple times. But that wasn't why she was irritated to begin with. No, Flux was upset because he had trained her to do that sort of work and yet not allowed her to fulfill the task as he had in Littlebark. "I could do it too.." She muttered softly, sinking back down so that only her shapeless hands and eyes remained above his collar line. She would have opted to masquerade as a human today as she had so often before they went into town - but transforming so many times yesterday and preforming seemingly endless grunt work had worn the little ditto out considerably. So much so that she couldn't even be bothered to take one of her favorite shapes. Not right now anyway. Thankfully, as her current ride brought the pink Pokemon to a stop, Flux's eyes forgot all her weariness and seemingly all the negativity she had been feeling from not getting to do work for Nick. Flux had never been here before but had spent so much time with Nicolai that she easily read the features of the building and recognized the type of establishment that it was - throwing her little hands into the air and cheering gleefully to the point where even Quanta was shaken from its intense focus and peered over at her. "It's a hotel!!" She giggled, earning a half pat, half stuff down into her human's shirt before he continued on inside. Even then, the flattened Pokemon wriggled against his uniform happily, causing Nick to roll his eyes as he stepped through the sliding doors and up to the counter where he immediately forced that damned smile of his and began to chat up the receptionist. Today they would relax as normal folk.
