"Winds of a New Beginning."
Just on the southern coast of Johto, tucked away in a shallow south eastern valley, a small town remains as not just a homely and quiet little town for it's residents who call it home, but a beacon for those travelers all over the world who come to visit for the renowned Pokemon Professor Elm. It is here that many a trainer young and old come to begin their journies for the Johto League, so even without a gym or even a Pokemon Center within the small town, those who live here are no strangers to passersby and the ever frequent traveling trainer new or old who travel through to start into the Johto Region. The people here take kindly to both Pokemon and trainer, making it a great first stop for an even greater journey ahead.

Out in the late morning of New Bark now and away from the laboratory, Demeter didn't hesitate to drop the Eevee in her arms who of course didn't touch the ground before Loki's tall, slender, raven haired figure came beside her. He looked down at her with gleaming green eyes and a pleased grin on his face, his hands clasped gently behind his back. "Cute," Demeter growled, not needing to look at the illusion beside her to know what was going through the Zoroark's mind. "If you honestly weren't expecting anything of the sort, I'm sorely disappointed in you," Loki spoke quiet honestly, looking ahead as they'd continued walking. "I don't see if you loath going into personas like that, that you had to. We could have just as easily taken anything we wanted in there, though I can't say anything was really of value," he continued, trailing off though as he heard a small bout of snickers from beneath them. "Speak for yourself, I found some pretty good stuff in there," came Calcifer's voice, his toothy grin showing in Demeter's shadow for only a moment before the woman turned to look at Loki. "And I'm disappointed that you haven't seen the reason for assuming this identity on the main lands," Demeter quipped back, taking Loki a bit by surprise. "Is that so? Would you please regale me with these details then, darling," the dark type asked so graciously, but Demeter knew after these years now that despite his dripping sarcasm, when he questioned her in such a way, he actually was interested to some degree about what she had to say. "All of these gym leaders in the leagues of the main regions are connected. They know each other, they talk to each other, and have resources here that we may never know," Demeter began, explaining her method of thought. "Becoming a trainer here, the more formidable you become, is like being welcomed as one of their own," she continued, watching Loki's eyes start to shine as he began to realize just what kind of opportunity Demeter may have presented for them. "If under this new identity, we can start making a name for ourselves in this league, we might have access to information we might never find on our own. And we know how much it pays to have friends in high places," she stated knowingly. "I must say, I'm rather impressed," Loki praised. "The more leaders we challenge, the stronger we become, the closer we'll get to those in power. We'll have eyes and ears in every corner of the main lands, and someone out there has to know where that mindless beast has gone to," Demeter spoke. "And too, we're absolved of all crimes here under this guise. If Vanessa Montrell is a friend to the gym leaders, I dare say Vanessa could do no wrong," the dark type added, though looked down again to a less than convinced snicker from Demeter's shadow. "Man, you guys are funny. There's at least a dozen Cypher goons looking for that Lugia, and you think one of them is just going to pass you on the street," Calcifer laughed, hardly able to believe that the two could have over looked such a simple detail. Admin from Cypher that weren't running facility repair were out looking for the Shadow Lugia, and not a single one of them were going to let another one of them pass them by, it was a giant free for all now, and a dangerous one considering what was at stake. Desperation brought out the worst in people. "I know they can't take us, I mean, come on, but there's no way in hell one of them wouldn't recognize you and rat you out. You know what happens to trainers who start making a name for themselves? They get noticed, they get recognized on the streets, that's like putting a target on your back if someone figures out what you're doing," Calcifer continued, his shining eyes looking up at them from the darkness. "And then what? When 'Vanessa Montrell' is really Admin Demeter from Team Cypher infiltrating the league from the inside? We can take our fellow miscrients, but I'm not stupid enough to say we could take on a whole region of gym leaders. And after that, when your target is shot clean through, you'll put a target on Cypher because now they think that Cypher is pulling for an inside job, and with how jacked up we are now, what defense do we have," he finished, looking up to Demeter and Loki who listened without a quip or remark. "And then not only will Cypher be in ruin, but you'll have not just the league on your ass but what's left of Cypher too for ruining everything, and I don't know how you expect to make a come back from that.""Sorry to burst your bubble, but I mean, come on? I thought you dumb asses were the smart ones," the ghost stated. Julian returned the professor's nod, with a curt and polite smile. He had always been a polite kid, almost to a fault. He accepted the items, setting them into his shoulder bag in an organized way. Everything had it's place, and that's where everything would be with him. As he turned to walk away, the two Pokemon turned and followed at his heels. With his new Pokemon in hand, he wondered how easy this journey would end up being. He wasn't filled with confidence that it would be simple, but he was ready for the challenge and for the chance to prove himself. He returned to his Parent's house, stopping by to show them his new Pokemon (which his mother found simply adorable), and sign; 'Goodbye'. His Mother pulled him into a big hug, before letting him go and signing back; 'Are you sure you want to do this? The world is a dangerous place, and you have nothing to prove.' As he walked away, he simply smiled and replied with a; 'Yes, I do'. And with that, he was off to forge his own path. Sure the road ahead was dangerous, but it was dangerous for everyone beside him as well. He'd already missed out on four years he could have been exploring this Region because of his Mother's worry.
Training these Pokemon was going to be interesting to say the least, especially since he decided to only take two of the many specially-trained Pokemon from home. He told his Parents that if he needed them, he would have them send the Pokemon to him down the line. That's only if he had too much trouble training the wild ones though. He now had a Cyndaquil, but he had to teach it to obey him. That's where the problem would lie. He sent out Cyndaquil, and Umbreon and Espeon were always by his side. He got Cyndaquil's attention, using Umbreon and Espeon to lead by example. He would make a hand signal, then point at something. One of the Eeveelutions would know to tackle it. At first, Cyndaquil had no idea what was going on. Finally, however, it began to catch on and follow their lead. Cyndaquil would finally tackle without a vocal command.
Learning to follow a lead in battle was one thing, but he wanted to teach them to react to battles on their own without being ordered into one attack or the other. He wanted to be able to trust that his Pokemon could handle themselves, think for themselves. That, however, he wasn't sure how to do. His Father had been the one to train Umbreon and Espeon, Julian wasn't there for that. 'At least...' thought Julian; 'I taught him Tackle.'

It was time to move on, having taught Cyndaquil to follow a silent command to use Tackle. Julian stretched as he walked, smiling down at Umbreon and Espeon. He looked around himself to see what type of Pokemon were in the area. Sure, there were birds and owls, snakes and rodents, but he was looking for a few specific Pokemon to add to his team. He knew all about the Pokemon in this area through books, and he knew who evolved into Pokemon he could utilize well.
He walked with purpose down the path out of Newbark Town. He was ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead. 'Bring it on, World'. He thought to himself.

Dare sincerely thanked Professor Elm before leaving the Lab. It was a slightly awkward interaction, but then Dare was a slightly awkward guy. But wait, here he was, he was finally a pokemon Trainer! How cool is that? After four years of patiently waiting, four years of training, and a live time of desire, he was finally ready to start his journey! What kind of people would he encounter? What mysteries lay ahead of him? Dare could scarcely think of it! To make things better, Dare now had a new companion with him, his new grass pokemon Chikorita would be here with him for every step of the journey! He must meet her! Opening his pokeball, Dare would welcome the new creature to his team! "Hello Chikorita Dear! My name is Dare, and this is Tyrogue! you're going to be traveling with us, if you would like, that is! Today we are going to start an adventure together, to reach new heights and to conquer all sorts of obstacles! Would you like to join us?
ChickoritaLv. 5HP- 40Ability:Tackle- 20Growl- Lowers target's attack by one stage
Chikorita came out of the pokeball in the familiar New Bark Town, she had spent much time here already, and it was a comfortable place for her. She could hear someone talking, and looking up, she saw a man who was not the Kind professor Elm. However when he asked her whether she would like to travel with him and a Tyrogue who stood in the background eyeing the chikorita with quiet reserve, seeming to size her up. She could tell though that these two boys were kind at heart, and that was what she wanted, companionship with kind friends. So in response to Dare's question, she began to dance around in elation, She was ready for a journey!! "I'll take that as a yes," Dare said with a smile. "There's just one more thing before get going that must be done." Dare reached into his back and retrieved a beautiful Blue Scarf and tied it around Chikorita's neck "There!" Now Dare and the crew were ready to be doing things! ___________________________________________________________________Traveling Posts: 1/3 Encounter Posts: 1/- Trainer Post : 1/25 Items:Unlimited Pokeballs Unlimited Potions Pokedex.

Dare thought that he and his crew were ready to do things, however they were not! It was not three seconds after he thought they were ready to roll that a thunderclap billowed overhead. While he did not believe that a little rain would hurt them, the moment he saw Chikorita, aptly named Rey-Rey, acting like the rain was going to melt her, he decided to seek shelter. This shelter was found inside one of the stores in the small town, where using the little money he had left, He purchased a jacket for himself. While he was all for training his fortitude, he also knew that it was fall, and the cold weather was coming, and that there was a difference between being stupid, and being tough. Tyrogue, on the other hand, was of the opposite mind set. The weather was the perfect way to train his fortitude. So he stood outside in the rain while Rey-Rey and Dare found a nice jacket to keep the weather at bay. He held a solemn expression as the water rolled down his face and over his body. He would not be overcome by this weather. After purchasing the jacket from the store Rey-Rey and Dare returned to tyrogue. Rey-Rey was comfortably poking her head out of Dare's jacket, seeming content to be babied as the newest member of Dare's now 3 man band. "Alright! Now we are ready to do things!" ___________________________________________________________________Traveling Posts: 2/3 Encounter Posts: 2/- Trainer Post : 2/25 Items:Unlimited Pokeballs Unlimited Potions Pokedex.

The air seemed crisp and alive for the trainer, he had just exited the professors lab with a new companion. This time twelve years ago he had stepped out those same doors with a fire Pokémon hanging off his belt. This time around a totadile was his choice, it only seemed fitting.
the young Pokémon had a certain fiestiness to him that all young totadile's seem to have, it made the bearded trainer laugh when he flicked the ball up in the air, a red beam shooting the monster out in front of him. The laugher came from the small creature's apparent energy, the scaled blue tail swaying back and forth while it's reptile eyes scanned for anything to sink its fangs into.
"It's you and me now little guy, if you stick by me I'll help you get as strong as you want. I'll never push you past your comfort zone though." Carter said, getting down on one knee so he was at eye level with the creature. Totadile merely nodded and ferociously snapped its name into the air as if to challenge anything to fight it. Laughing again Carter pat its head and stood up. "Well let's get going, the day light is good and we have a ways to go."
Without wasting anymore time he shoulder his back pack and began walking toward the coast, his partner in tow looking for any action it could find.

They had been walking for only about fifteen minutes before they found a cafe, the smell of puffins was enough to make Carter want to stop in. He needed to figure out what treat his partner liked, too many times before he had been in a bad spot when a Pokémon went on a rampage and he always found himself wishing he had puffins in those moments.
The small Totodile growled as if it were agreeing with stopping at the cafe. Not wanting to appear too eager he absentmindedly scratched his stomach, his tiny claws scrapping against his scales. Carter smiled, he had always enjoyed Pokemon with a defined character and it seemed he had gotten a new partner with some flare.
"Alright tough guy, let's get you something to eat." He joked, Totodile smacked his tail on the ground in excitement before jumping up and climbing his way to Carter's right shoulder. He wasnted to be at eye level with the action. Once he was settled in Carter walked into the cafe and smiled at a young girl working the counter, "nice day we're having. "
She smiled before going back to cleaning a counter while he excused himself to look at the puffin selection. The cafe wasn't large and didn't specialize in puffins but the variety was varied enough for his liking. Feeling a tail sway back and forth on his shoulder let him know Totodile was okay with his choices too.
He leaned in so his Pokémon could get a closer view and see what it wanted to eat. The blue Pokémon wasted no time leaping off of him and into a pile of red puffins, the spicy kind.Carter laughed and pulled his wallet out as the cafe worker came over to chastise him for allowing his Pokémon to ruin the small pile, "I'll buy them all. I have a feeling I'm going to need them." His eyes were lit with laughter as he paid for the treats and boxed 18 of them, leaving two out for his partner to enjoy.
With the side trip finished they both waved a good bye and headed back out the door toward the coast, "we're going to head to Kalos. I haven't been able to explore that region much." He spoke out loud, more thinking to himself than speaking but still he heard his partner echo its name from his shoulder in between bites of puffin, Totodile was on board as long as they would have fun.

The port was simple enough in this town, the ferries were coming and going each with a specific destination in mind. Carter stood with his stomach against the rails on the hillside leading down to the pier. The taste of salt was thick in the air and he was excited. He could feel his excitement echoed in his partner who still waited on his shoulder. A shadow over head caught his attention as he saw a flock of Murkrow pass by and begin to circle a spot down on the coast a few minutes away from the pier, "something's wrong." He whispered to Totodile before taking off, jogging at a brisk pace toward the circling flock to see what they had found. His years of Ranger expercince told him it was most likely a wounded Pokemon, they had had a fierce storm the night before and something could have been washed up and beached on the banks right outside of everyone's view. He came to a stop at the bottom of a rock wall build up, these were common to stop the tide from eroding the shore line. Without warning his partner he began to scale the rocks to get to the other side where the flock was still circling. He was happy to have picked a water Pokémon who might be able to assist him with whatever was on the other side of the rocks. Once to the top he kicked off the rock and landed in the sand in the other side and almost fell over in astonishment as he saw a large wounded Dragonair laying in the sand. It appeared to be a female and her skin looked dry as sand hung to it. She was in bad shape, she must have been thrown against the rocks during the storm but he wondered just how far off her course she had been. It wasn't common to see these rare Pokémon this far south. Even when he was younger he had only ever encountered on wild Dratni and it was at the town with the dragon gym. The Pokémons eyes barely stirred as he made his way closer, his left hand touched its side and he pulled it away at the heat, the Pokémon was almost feverish. Nodding to himself he set Totodile down and ran to the water line before removing his shirt and soaking it in the ocean water. Before he could think to give the Pokémon a potion he needed to help it recover its hydration. Totodile didn't know water gun yet so he had to resort to this. He ran back and forth in the sand to get his shirt soaked and put it on the Dragonair before going back and getting more water. This carried on for hours as the sun beat down, he could feel the sun burning his skin as the day wore on but that could be dealt with later, right now his concern was the wounded Pokemon. Day quickly turned to evening, Totodile stood over the wounded Pokemon and Carter kept running back and forth to the water line to make sure the Pokémon stayed hydrated. He had been too afraid to move her because of her size and the condition she was in and he was scared to attempt to capture her and send her to a Pokémon center but he was beginning to think he would have no choice soon if she didn't stir. As the sun began to set he had decided it couldn't wait any longer and was heading to his back pack to grab a pokeball when he heard the sand swish with the Dragonair moving. Totodile grumbled in protest as he had been napping by her side and the movement woke her up. Carter though held his breath as she lifted herself up to full height. He had been reaching for a pokeball but his hand dropped it in the bag and he grabbed two potions instead, he knew what he had to do and his mind slipped back to Mankey and the day he helped him. He had no doubt this was going to be rough as he began to approach the Dragonair, it needed the potions but they stung as they healed and the Pokémon would fight it. Her large eyes locked onto him and she stared, almost questioning him in a way as he approached. He kept his hands out stretched and walked in slowly until he was within the distance to spray her. Wasting no time his right arm wrapped around her neck and he began to spray her with the potion in his left hand. She screeched and instantly began to fight him, her long serpentine body wrapped around him quickly and began to constrict but he didn't care. The first potion was done, almost instantly her strength seeemd to grow while he fought to uncap the second one. She wasn't having any of it, she trashed about in the sand kicking up debris as Carter hung on for dear life. Spray shot out from the second potion and for a brief moment he was eye to eye with her, he saw the anger in her eye but he expected it. She didn't know any better, she only knew pain was bad and she was going to fight it. The spray finished with not a moment to spare as she flung Carter toward the rocks he had jumped off of earlier in the day. His sun burnt back hit the rocks and he saw stars for a moment while he sat there dazed, Totodile jumped between him and the Dragonair. The little blue beast growled a challenge. The Dragonair paused as if considering it's options before it saw the damp shirt laying on the ground by where she had been laying, she looked back to the human and for the first time noticed he was shirtless and his back was almost beet red from burns. Her tail swayed and hit the empty potion bottles and she looked at them in turn, they had burned like fire when they touched her but afterward she remembered feeling her strength grow. Her large eyes then went to the little Pokémon defying her and standing between her and the man she thought was an enemy. Totodile growled again and echoed its name as if it were speaking to the Dragonair. The little guy was telling her how the two had spent the entire day trying to heal her and she had returned the favor by attacking his trainer. The Dragonair looked once more to the human who was beginning to collect his senses and she lowered herself to his height. Carter shook his head to collect himself and blinked a few times before realizing a large blue head was right in front of his face, twin eyes like black orbs stared at him and he almost winced as he expected the fight to start again. Instead he was surprised as he was met with a nuzzle from the large Pokémon. Her snout rubbed against his cheek and he laughed a bit before patting her head. Totodile had done his job and Carter could see his tail poking out from the back pack as he rooted for a puffin. "Don't eat them all. I can't afford to spoil you rotten." He joked before standing up and collecting his shirt. The wet material was coated in gritty sand so he washed it off again before and redressed himself. The cold water felt good against his burns cussing him to sigh in relief. A press against his left hand made him aware that the Dragonair had followed him and he looked at her, " Well girl you're all patched up but a long way from home. You might want to swim closer to shore to be safe so the storms dont hurt you again." He said, trying to help her before he turned away from the coast and went to get his quickly fattening Totodile from the back pack. He pulled the chubby blue Pokémon out by his tail and lifted him up so he was hanging upside down at Carter's eye level, "you're already getting chubby big guy. Looks like I'll have to cut puffins out for a bit." He said, joking with the Pokémon. Totodile attempted a play bite and Carter laughed again before depositing his partner back on his shoulder and picking the pack up. The pokeball from earlier lay in the sand and he picked it up, staring at it. Part of him wanted to catch the Dragonair because he had always been mystified by dragon Pokémon but he knew it was wrong to attempt it.As he stood staring at the pokeball he felt something push him from behind and looked to see the Dragonair hadn't left yet. If was following him like a lost child and before he could open his mouth to speak the Pokémon tapped its nose against the button on the pokeball, a red beam hitting her and pulling her in. His jaw hung slack as he realized what had just happened. Totodile hummed deep in his chest happy to have another friend join the party. "Well... welcome aboard Dragonair." Carter whispered to the pokeball. He would leave her alone to rest for a bit as he began to walk toward the pier again, if he was lucky he might catch the last boat leaving for Vaniville Town. He was forced to run to make it in time for the last ferry out of New Bark town. The usher seemed irritated that he had waited to the last second to bored but he merely offered a smile and an exhausted laugh before paying his fee and stepping on board. Totodile chirped with excitement as his clawed feet clipped across the wooden deck. This trip could take anywhere from a day to three depending on the weather so the were given a room.
The room was large enough for him and his two Pokémon to stretch out and relax but he wasn't in the mood to lay around. Part of him hoped to find a trainer and have a small battle on the deck while another part merely wanted to walk around the deck and watch the stars for a bit. His left hand slid to his belt where he unclipped his Dragonairs pokeball. In a wash of red light the Pokémon appeared, her mouth opened and let out a low soft noise like a yawn before she blinked a few times lazily, washing the sleep from her eyes. She looked much healthier now than when Carter had first found her earlier in the day.
"I don't want you to spend all your time locked away in a pokeball so unwind and sleep here, the bed is big enough. Totodile and myself are going to watch some stars for a bit." He said, the dragon type Pokemon swaying like a snake as he spoke. He could tell she understood, her eyes showing a deep brilliance. His right hand rubbed her snout which caused her to release a soft purring noise before he exited the room, Totodile electing to walk beside him rather than ride on his shoulder.
The two sat in the railing of the ferry and watched the stars come up over the water and slide by in brilliant fashion. Carter scratched the under side of totodile's firm jaw where the pokemon's stubby arms couldn't reach. He was quickly rewarded with a nuzzling that rubbed his skin raw slightly from the pokemons scales but he didn't care, they hadn't been together long but he already knew he had found one of his partners, "what a journey we're going to have bud." He whispered as they made their way to Kalos.

Julian Malcolm
Pidgeot cascaded from the sky, brilliant plumage of blue, red, and gold shimmering in the sunlight. The very large bird landed, the draft from his wings making everyone nearby hold onto their hats, as well as anything in their hands a little tighter. It was a commotion even the Professor and his Laboratory Assistants hidden away inside their lab couldn't miss. Shortly after, Noctowl caught up and landed beside them as the Trainer slid from Pidgeot's back - Noctowl couldn't keep up as well, but still wanted to fly freely in the open sky so he'd refused to be put away in his Pokeball. Thomas recalled Pidgeot, and was met by Professor Elm who had by now (most likely) ventured outside to see what the commotion was about. "Hello, Professor. I'd ask if we could speak somewhere more privately, but what's more private than our own minds?" Julian smiled jokingly. "I had a couple questions - one, I sent my Meowth into the Pokeball, but when I called it out next into battle it was a Persian. How is it possible for them to evolve within their Pokeball?" He waited a moment before he continued. "The other question was more a request. I've recently come across a fossil that's been restored to the Pokemon it had once been... I believe the Scientist said 100 Million years ago. I was wondering if, in the process of studying it, you could help it adapt to modern society so it will be ready when I come back again?"

Professor Elm It had been yet a slow day in the labs, granted, there wasn't too much excitement that went on in his labs. His research was surrounded by mostly Pokemon's Eggs, and helping with the safety regulations for Breeders. So usually the most exciting thing that happened in his lab was an egg hatching. So, it didn't take long for the news of a Mega Pidgeot sweeping through the town, causing messes and accidents in it's tailwinds, especially since one of the lab assistants out in the field were got in the tailwind. Elm was quickly notified of the Pokemon headed for the labs, assuming it was someone with important news he needed to be alerted about. He got from his desk, and began out into the labs, and as he got out of the front doors, the massive bird landed in front of him. It was definitely a sight to see, he eyed the bird over before it was returned. Only then did he notice the trainer, a trainer he remembered visiting his labs a bit ago. "Oh hello!" he exclaimed as he pushed his glasses higher on his nose. Before he could as how he could help, relieved that it was just one of the trainers, rather then some horrible news, a voice rank out in his head. It was not a familiar voice, and he couldn't locate the source of the until he laid eyes on the Noctowl, and smiled, looking back to the trainer. Before their only interaction was with a pen and paper, but now he was able to hear the deaf and mute trainer's voice. "What a wonder, you've discovered and utilized your Pokemon's skills." He exclaimed out loud in a proud tone, even though it would be psychically translated back to Julian. He did chuckle at the teen's joke, and then walked back into the door, holding it for Julian. "Of course, follow me, we can speak in private in my office." he explained and lead him through the labs as the teen's voice asked his questions. Elm lead him into his office, and closed the door behind Julian, as he thought for a moment. "Now, those are excellent questions, Julian. I'll start with your question about your Persian" he began over towards his desk, and sat down, and gestured towards the chair across to him. "That is a question better suited for Professor Rowan, but you're in luck, I have read up on evolution quite a bit." He explained as he began to absentmindedly shuffled papers and began to clean the very messy desk. "We are still learning about Evolutions, and what causes them. Every Pokemon is different." Elm began, and then leaned forwards, and fixed his glasses again as he continued. "For some Pokemon it happens during a battle, or during a stressful time, due to accomplishments, or for survival. But others evolve because of an emotional event, or for their own growth as a Pokemon. Such as when a Pokemon and Trainer grow close enough." Elm explained. "In this case... It is very rare for a Pokemon to be called back as one Pokemon and let out as another, but it has happened." He told Julian. "It all depends on your Persian I suppose." he finished with a nod.

Julian followed the Professor into the Laboratory, and from there into his office. He hadn't expected to be back here - it seemed like ages ago for him after the events of the Tower Challenge, but to Professor Elm it was far less time. He had come so far in such a short amount of time here in the real world, it was something to be proud of. He took a seat, listening to the Professor both telepathically and by reading his lips. They matched up perfectly, so it was hardly a challenge to understand one another. The explanation was less that he'd hoped for, but still it did sort of answer the question even if it was a little vague. When it came down to it, his Persian must just be special. He'd known that all along, although it was more in a 'that's my Pokemon, so I love it and it's special to me' sort of way. "Thank you, and about the fossil?"

Professor Elm Julian seemed to take in everything well, as did his Noctowl, and he seemed to be processing everything he had said. He seemed to be a rather quiet fellow, no pun intended, but he was sure his mind was figuring everything out for himself. "It could be one of numerous possibilities. It might benefit you to speak with your Persian, it might know. If not, I'm sure if you paid Professor Rowan a visit, he could run some tests on your Persian and if you the official answer, or I can try my hand at those tests." he expressed, hoping to give boy an answer, rather then a list of possible answers. "Ah yes, the fossil." He replied, having almost forgot the second question. "For that, I would have to take it off your hands for a bit, assuming it's already been revived." He commented, and he continued standing up and walked over to the book shelf near his desk, and pulled out one of the many books, one thick book about fossil Pokemon. "Every Pokemon is revived differently as well. Some adapt well, and don't remember their past, some do and are revived just as wild as they were back in the Cretaceous period, Jurassic period, or which ever period it's from. It could take days, or weeks depending. Is that alright?" he asked the trainer, making sure it was alright if it might take a bit longer then a few days for the Pokemon to adapt to modern day.

Julian nodded, that time-span seemed just fine with him. He had some more unfinished business to take care of anyway. With a smile, he handed over the Pokeball to Professor Elm. He wasn't even sure now what it was, or what it looked like. Just that it was a Rock- and Water- Type Pokemon. He didn't want to see it yet, preferring to have a surprise waiting for him when he returned to the Laboratory next. Parting ways with the Professor, Julian again mounted Pidgeot's back and they took to the sky with one less Pokeball in his bag. Where he would end up next would be a mystery, so until next time...!

Elizabeth Morgan Liz could hardly contain her excitement when she was presented with the Pokeball. Actually, that excitement deflated slightly when she realized she wasn't being handed the physical form of the creature she was being offered. Even so, she accepted Cyndaquil's ball with a tenderness not always seen in excited young Trainers. She was being entrusted with a young life and the redhead was not going to take such responsibility lightly. Green eyes shimmered with wonder and a yet untapped maternal instinct. She was so enthralled with her first Pokemon, she failed to recognize Professor Elm was trying to give her more. When she finally recognized that it had gotten quiet but Elm was still there, she glanced up to see the offered Potions and Pokeballs.... And an odd little contraption she had never seen before. The woman quickly became distressed as she realized that she didn't have a place to safely place her Cyndaquil and accept these gifts from the Professor. She may have been at least partly aware that this was no truly special gift, but she was surprised and in awe all the same. "Professor. I--thank you!" Liz couldn't come up with the words to express her gratitude. She could get more Pokemon with this, and she could help her Cyndaquil recover from outside threats with the Potions. She would figure out what Dex was for, surely, but she didn't bother to make the reasonable decision and just ask about it.
When she reached for the items, she foolishly did so one-handed--she wasn't going to let go of her precious Cyndaquil--and all hell broke loose with the first misstep. She slipped trying to grasp no less than three different objects at the same time. That quickly devolved into a poor display of juggling before Liz squealed and dumped herself on the ground with her items falling all around her. The one thing that didn't hit the ground was one Pokeball. She had no reasonable explanation for how she knew, but she could pick Cyndaquil's Pokeball out like it had a bright sign screaming that it was here. She heaved out a heavy sigh of relief and frustration, smiling awkwardly at Professor Elm as she sat up from her spill. That could have gone much better. "Ow..." Arol had swooped in to help, but had only picked up the Pokedex before Liz was already gathering everything up in her arms and depositing them into her Bag with her clothes and other provisions. "It's alright, Arol. I'm fine." There was an edge in her voice that onlookers might notice, even as she tried to be more appreciative of the Ghost Type. "You can go home. I'll be okay. I have...Cherry!" Liz held out Cyndaquil's--Cherry's--Pokeball to Arol. The Lampent observed the object uneasily, not convinced he was free to go. Nor did he want to leave to begin with. "Come on, Arol! Mom is going to get worried about us both if you don't go back!" Liz insisted, noticing how hesitant her guardian was. He had good reason to be, it didn't help Liz feel any better. She wanted the Ghost gone and he was being difficult about it! How could she solve this problem without treating him worse than she already had?
It finally occurred to Liz that Arol was just as concerned he wouldn't see her anymore as he was that she would get hurt. She had to think about it before an offer formed. "Arol, you should go back. Mom misses you. And I can't stay gone forever." She pointed out, much as she wished she could. "I'll come visit. You'll get to meet all my new friends, too. Doesn't that sound like a good thing?" Liz offered, giving her mother's Lampent the most sincere smile she could muster. Yes, he meant a lot to the family, but the things he reminded her of didn't make her feel any better about it. Arol finally cooperated, saluting with one fringe and making a sweeping bow. The Lampent twirled and began floating away. He started slowly at first, like he expected Liz to change her mind if he waited long enough. "Mom's gonna be sad if you don't hurry back!" The redhead shouted at Lampent. Arol made a panicked cry and rushed away, leaving Liz alone for the first time in a while since heading for Newbark Town. It felt good to be alone with her thoughts again, and her Pokemon. Cherry would get to prove his worth without Arol around to attack anything that threatened the pair, and Liz would get to finally experience her own Pokemon battles!Pokemon Encounter: 1/7 Trainer Battle: 1/25 Moving: 0/3 -> Item Posting: (Oran Berry) 1/26 Pokemon: Arol

Julian Malcolm
A new outlook on life was just what Julian needed. He realized that he hadn't taken the time to relax, have fun, develop proper friendship, etc. He realized that he needed to take some time to relax, and develop a proper friendship with more Pokemon, starting fresh in a new Region. Maybe, just maybe, it would help him grow as a Trainer. Pidgeot flew him back to Professor Elm's Laboratory, and just like before he landed flawlessly - only to send a draft out and nearly bowl over a starting Trainer who had just collected their first Pokemon - a Cyndaquil. He recalled Pidgeot, and Noctowl flew behind him as he let himself into the lab. "Hello, Professor Elm. I've come back for my Prehistoric Pokemon."

Professor Elm Elm had been meandering about his lab, keeping everything in check the best he could. It had been a hectic couple of days in the lab with the two latest Pokemon the labs. It was nothing too out of the ordinary, and nothing they didn't want to do. All of the assistants loved Pokemon, so it was no be deal to them. However, he received the same news he did days prior, about a mega pidgeot soaring through the towns, and towards the labs. Elm thought that the male was right on time! Before he could make it to the doors, it seemed Julian arrived. Elm walked up to him, and made sure he was within eye shot of the male, even though he could see the noctowl entering with him. "Hello, welcome back!" Elm greeted with a smile. He asked for his Pokemon back and Elm nodded. "Of course, your Tirtuga has adjusted nicely into modern day, and he definitely is ready to be out in the world, and not stuck up in a lab." Elm commented with a laugh. He knew the fossil was being harmless, but he made it know he was ready to get out of the building and out to explore the world, even with being kept in a habitat he was use too. Elm walked over to one of his assistants and asked her to fetch the fossils and turned back to Julian. "So, we do have a question for you, more off an offer. " he explained. Elm could tell that the young male was a good trainer, and was able to train his Pokemon to be strong. He hadn't checked everything up to day, but he had tracked Julian through the league and could see he had quite an impressive amount of badges, so he thought Julian was more the capable enough to take another Pokemon along with him. "While Tirtuga was here, he did get well acquainted with another fossil Pokemon we have here, and it is just as eager as he is to get out. I was wondering if you would like to take another Fossil Pokemon with you." Elm offered. The assistant entered the main lab again, only she was completely soaked, seeming to have played a little game with the fossils against her will. She walked up holding out two Pokeballs. "Here is your Tirtuga, and the other is a Kabuto if you wee interested in bringing it along with you." he offered the male kindly.

Julian Malcolm
It clearly wasn't what the kid had been expecting, a second Fossil Pokemon in the same lab? He wasn't one to refuse such a gift, and learning how to train two Pokemon literally out of time would help him develop his own skill. "I welcome the challenge." He replied to the Professor, and he grinned at the Aid who left the room dry and came back soaked to the bone. So, the Fossils were either playful or didn't listen to others well. He found himself hoping for the first. Either way, Julian collected the Pokeballs, pocketing them before requesting if he could use the Professor's PC. If he was going to start over fresh, then he wanted to make some new friends along the way. The only way he could do that is to, at least temporarily, replace his old party with a new team.

Elizabeth Morgan The day was not working out for Liz the way she had hoped. After Arol left Liz had tried to let Cherry out to no avail. She kept trying to pry the ball open and was now shouting at it to open. In fact, she was doing nearly everything she could think of except touch the button or even just toss the Pokeball. She looked up into the air above when she heard some surprised shouts to find the most terrifying and awe-inspiring bird Pokemon she had ever seen. She knew what Pidgey were, and she could vaguely recognize the form of a Pidgeot, but Mega Evolution was far and away a brand new experience--and that was not helped by the blasting winds that came next. Liz moved to cover her face, then immediately doubled over when she remembered that she had Cherry's ball to worry about first. She wound up tumbling over backward rather than shielding herself--or the ball--from Pidgeot's entry. On the bright side, once she became aware once more of her surrounding, Cherry was sitting out nearby the sprawled form of his new trainer. The little Cyndaquil stared quizzically at Liz and Liz tilted her head upside down to look "up" at her first Pokemon. One was considerably more impressed than the other with this first meeting. It took no time at all for the woman to flip over and scoop her Cyndaquil up into her arms. "You're even cuter in person!" She had to hand it to some of her friends. She didn't actually expect Cyndaquil to be so completely adorable.
Cherry, on the other hand, was thoroughly confused by the way he was being handled. He wasn't even sure that Professor Elm had chosen to send him away just yet. Was she a groomer here to clean him up, or a nurse in for a check up? The little Cyndaquil bumped his nose against Liz's chest while he was being smothered. A lack of reaction prompted another bump and continued until Liz stopped gushing long enough to notice her partner was unsure of the situation. She kissed Cherry's nose and proceeded to hug him again, this time with a lot less force. "I can't believe I'm so lucky! I thought for sure that Professor Elm wouldn't have any of you left! Everyone talks about you like you're the best Pokemon ever." That last part sounded uncertain and somewhat rude, but Liz was still processing what she perceived as great fortune. She believed without a doubt that Cherry was the best stroke of luck she'd had in years.Pokemon Encounter: 2/7 Trainer Battle: 2/25 Moving: 0/3 -> Item Posting: (Oran Berry) 2/26 Pokemon: Cherry Cyndaquil Male 1' 8" 17.4 lbs Level 5 EXP: 2/15 HP- 40 Ability: Blaze - Power up Fire Attacks in a pinch! Julian Malcolm Leaving the Professor's Lab with his new party of Pokemon - those he'd caught over the brief span of time since setting out on his own journey with Espeon, Umbreon, and Cyndaquil - the next step was to figure out where exactly he would go from here. He knew he wanted to start over in a new Region, but there were so many to choose from. How was he ever going to decide? So many places offered so many unique and interesting Pokemon that not only could he capture and train, but that he could learn from in return.
Julian had been so lost in his own thoughts, that he didn't realize he'd been walking towards a young Trainer. It was the same kid that Mega Pidgeot's draft had toppled, but he hadn't noticed in his rush to get to Professor Elm. With Noctowl still out of his Pokeball, the deaf Trainer could still communicate through the owl's Psychic powers. "Oh, hello..." It would very likely be a first for the kid, hearing someone else's voice inside of her mind like this. Julian couldn't help but smile when he noticed her company; the same Fire-Type Starter that he'd once received. "Your Cyndaquil is very cute. My first Pokemon was a Cyndaquil also."

Elizabeth Morgan Elizabeth hadn't accomplished much between meeting her Cyndaquil and meeting another trainer. She smothered the poor thing against her chest, Cherry didn't seem to have any problem with the affection until it got hard to breathe. She relented after a strained cry from her Pokemon brought her back to her senses. "Oh, sorry. I've just never had my own Pokemon before. That makes you pretty special too, Cherry!" It felt good. It felt really good knowing that Cherry here was her companion. Liz stood up from where she had fallen finally, Cherry cradled in one arm as she brushed off her legs and shorts before she focused her full attention on her Cyndaquil again. For somebody interested in going on an adventure, Liz was going to spend a lot of her first day as a Trainer playing out by Professor Elm's Laboratory. When a new voice came, she was too distracted with Cherry to realize it wasn't a normal voice but one inside her head.
"Hm? Oh, hello! Where did you come from?" Liz responded quickly, still holding her own Cyndaquil in her arms. She noted that the Noctowl next to the boy was quite large--and staring at her. It gave her the willies, but it also gave Liz an idea of just what she was dealing with. "You're a professional, aren't you? Is that one normally so big?" She added, pointing to the the giant owl in question. She looked nervous, but she held her cool well enough to be civil about it. If they were going to hurt Cherry, wouldn't he have done it? "Wait, you have a Cyndaquil!? They really are the best partner, aren't they!" There was as much question as there was declaration. Liz had no earthly idea which Pokemon was "best" for any reason, but she loved the idea that somebody touting a giant scary owl around was going to tell her that her Cyndaquil was great. It was exciting, and felt like an indirect bit of support from this boy. If he had a Cyndaquil and was a strong Trainer, that meant she could do it too!
