 "Happening and Passing City."
In the Southern most part of mainland Kanto, Fuchsia City resides on the peninsula of the region over looking most of the coast of Kanto. The landscape is open here due to almost being out on the open ocean where plains take the place of heavy forests and trees and the air is fresh and crisp with sprays of sea water. One of the longer standing cities in Kanto, the once village takes pride in being so closely related to the Pokemon that they had come to grow with and understand over the years, coming to be home to a Pokemon Zoo where young children and budding trainers can come and learn about some of the Pokemon they share the world with. Likewise, the knowledge and care taking of Pokemon continues into the city's very own Safari Zone, a regional Pokemon wildlife preserve. The city here is lively and mostly secluded, but is no stranger to passersby who come to see the Safari Zone or the city's gym.
{Fuschia City Gym (Click)}Janine is the official Gym Leader of Fuchsia City's Gym. She gives out the Soul Badge to all trainers that defeat her in battle. She is known as "The Poisonous Ninja Master!" Following Koga's promotion to the Elite Four, she succeeded him as the Gym Leader of the Fuchsia Gym. Like her father, she is known as "The Poisonous Ninja Master", and uses Poison-type Pokémon in battle. Originally, Janine's goal was to use Poison-type Pokémon just as well as her father. After becoming a Gym Leader, Janine hopes that by applying herself, she'll improve her skills and become better than her father. When encountered in her Gym, Janine hides behind the invisible walls that were installed to further confuse her challengers, further adding to her master ninja skills. Even the junior Trainers of the Gym are disguised like Janine. When she isn't busy sneaking around her own gym, she can be found milling about the Fuchia Zoo, looking at all the Pokemon and Animals found there, and even caring for some of them. She's also have been reported down in the Cerulean Department Store, arguing with Falkner over who's father is the superior Trainer. But she spends most of her time traveling over to Victory Road to visit her father. Even being the Master Poisonous Ninja, she is very caring and fun-loving. She loves meeting young trainers and fans, and enjoys taking pictures with them, however she enjoys disappearing before the camera flashes even more. Janine's Gym is a fun house of tricks and deception. The outside of the Gym looks almost like a old-fashioned Japanese mansion, and it's sits in a forest just outside of the City. The windows from the outside all seem to be black out, and once inside it appears to be a normal empty gym. However once you begin inside, it's quite the opposite. The Gym is filled with perfectly clear glass, and mirrors, almost like it were an actual fun house. The maze is very confusing, seemingly it goes on for a very long while, and every so often you might catch a glimpse of Janine disappearing around a corner. You might find yourself in a dead end, maybe getting trapped in a cloud of smoke, as well as many other tricks. However, If you make it through the maze of glass and mirrors, It's not over. Lickitung used an attack Kira was unfamiliar with, but Lucy was quick to retaliate with Aura Sphere. They exchanged blows back and forthand, both Pokemon barely standing, the smoke cleared to reveal Lickitung collapsing and unable to continue. Lucy wanted to stay in and keep fighting until she couldn't anymore. Kira wasn't going to let that happen, she knew she needed Lucy if she was going to make it out of this. "No, Lucy. Please come back." The Pokemon glanced back, nodded, and jumped into a backflip landing next to her Trainer.
The Trainer opposite Kira snarled and threw out a new Pokeball. A Deerling appeared and Kira stared at him, thinking. She decided that the Pokemon she needed now must know a Fire-Type move. A couple of her Pokemon knew fire attacks but she thought that Deerling looked weak enough for her weaker Bagon to take it down. Boy was she wrong. Deerling used Solar Beam, weakening Bagon. The smaller Ember attacks just couldn't keep up. A Jump Kick finished him off and Kira was forced to return the small dragon who had fallen in two hits.
Now seemed like just the time for Kira to be petty and go iin for the overkill. So she sent out Aerodactyl to finish the job that Bagon had started. It flapped it's leathery wings which caused a gust of wind on each movement. He had come a long way since Kira had captured him, and while not perfectly behaved he did have more control over his own actions. At least he didn't immediately storm off and attack someone random.
Thinking this 'dragon' would be as much a pushover as the last one, Deerling had no idea what it was in for. It attacked, but the attacks seemed to just bounce off of the fossil. Two Fire Blasts had Deerling on the ground for the ten count. Bagon might not have made it out of that fight but Aerodactyl had kept Kira in the lead as far as how many Pokemon fell of each Trainer. So in other words, she wasn't out of this fight and wasn't going to go down quite as easily as he first thought.
The rest of the fight was painful to watch, because of how much damage the enemy team did to her Pokemon. Dragonair fell to a Braviary after a hard-fought battle, but was avenged by Trapinch via a powerful Rock Slide. Trapinch had been furious to see his big sister taken down so ruthlessly. The enemy sent out a Stufful and Kira sent out her Noibat. Noibat tried to keep her distance and use psychic powers to take down the Stufful, but it was fast and kept charging down the small bat - using it's momentum to slam into her. Soon she was unable to get back up and Kira had to return her.
Looking to Lucy, Kira nodded and she jumped straight back into the battle. Both Pokemon charged each other down and slammed into one anotherbefore breaking apart and facking off. It looked like this would be a long, tough battle for the two previously injured Pokemon, but Lucy dodged the next charge by jumping straight up and then sending an Aura Sphere straight down into the face of Stufful as it looked up at her. Stufful fell and Lucy landed next to her Trainer again. One more Aura Sphere set Stufful flying right into the crowd of thugs. In the confusion, Kira vanished and made a run for it straight to the nearest Pokemon Center - the one in Fuschia City. TL;DR

Of course that thought had barely occurred to her when she sneezed, destroying an ice cream stand. Flavored snow began to fall all around her, and she knew she had to make a run for it. Just as she turned to run, she found that thuggish leader blocking her path. Lucy made to move between them again but Bagon took the liberty of releasing himself from his Pokeball. Before Kira could say a word, Bagon attacked. Her eyes went wide and she realized what had just happened. She was about to be in so much troub...
For the second time, her thought was interrupted before it could be finished. The Trainer looked down at his chest, which just so happened to have a smoking hole in the middle of it. It transformed before her eyes and turned into a copy of her Bagon, who charged her own bagon down only to slam it's hardened head into her dragon's body. Bagon fell back, struggled to get up, and fell again. Kira was about to return the heavily breathing Bagon. Suddenly finding a rage he didn't know he had, his eyes narrowed and he began to glow.
When the light faded, a Salamence was standing where her Bagon had been. The mimic Bagon's eyes widened, terrified, as Salamance took flight. It flew right at Ditto, picked it up, and flew it high into the air. He then let go and let it fall to the ground with a splat. He then flew straight down and landed on it before it could rematerialized. Ditto would take some time to recover from that one. Kira stared in shock. "Didn't... didn't you skip a step?" Salamance beamed, . He had been the one growing the slowest among his friends, but now he'd surpassed them - he'd done something none of them ever could have done!TL;DR

Fortunately she'd just had her Pokemon healed, and the last battle against that wild Ditto hadn't actually caused any damage to the newly evolved Salamence. She felt she could defend herself against one of them, but how was she going to fight them all if they chose to gang up on her. "Why are you doing this? Just let me go, I haven't done anything wrong!" Kira didn't understand why that made them laugh, she didn't find that to be very funny. Becoming incredibly frustrated at them, she looked around for a way she could possibly escape from the situation. There was no way she could have outrun them so she would just have to fight them off and hope for the best.
"I couldn't help notice that you like Dragons, girl." One of the boys sneered. The others started to chuckle, and egg him on. They seemed to be building up to something. "Let me show you what real Dragons look like." With that, he stepped forward and sent out a Noivern. Kira could tell by looking at the Pokemon that it was an evolved form of her own Noibat, but she wasn't stupid enough to send Noibat out against the much stronger-looking Pokemon. After a moment of thought, she grabbed one of her own Pokeballs and sent out Dragonair. She thought Dragonair would be a closer match to Noivern's strength.
She had no idea how wrong she was. In fact, if it hadn't been for Dragonair's speed and ability to keep his distance then Kira felt sure Dragonair would have lost. Noivern's moves were much stronger, but fortunately it's aim was terrible and couldn't seem to land a hit. By the time Dragonair was finished with the dodging and repeated blasts of Ice Beam, Noivern looked something like a frozen ice sculpture unable to move or even react to it's Trainer's calls. The Trainer glared at Kira and her victorious Pokemon. "You got lucky, that's all. My Dragons have trained tirelessly to beat weak little wannabe teams like yours." He returned his Pokemon, though he didn't seem to have lost any of his confidence.
That was slightly worrying because Kira wasn't sure what to expect. If he really did have strong Dragons then most of her Pokemon would prove to be weak against them. They had an advantage both in strength and typing. He sent out a Pokemon she wasn't familiar with. She could assume by his prideful accounts of his supposedly incredibly powerful Dragons that this was no exception. She was trying to decide who she would send out next, or whether to keep Dragonair in the fight, when Lucy stepped forward. She glared at Dragalge who, rather than returning a look, simply Hydro Pumped Lucy straight to the chest. Crossing her arms over her chest right before the attack landed, Lucy rode the attack out and then stomped her foot against the ground creating a powerful Earthquake.
Dragalge looked injured, but retaliated with a second Hydro Pump. Lucy took that hit like a champ and then sent back another Earthquake attack. Unfortunately, Lucy could not take a third hit. The Hydro Pump faded, and Lucy was down on one knee. Just as Kira was about to call out some encouragement to her Pokemon, Lucy slumped forward and hit the ground. "No, Lucy!" She yelled.
Returning her Pokemon, she stared back at the now laughing and celebrating crew. Katie sent out Noibat, hoping to get revenge for Lucy with the Pokemon they were all laughing at now. "Your strongest Pokemon couldn't even defeat my Dragalge, what makes you think a itty bitty Noibat will help you?" She didn't respond. Instead, Dragalge moved with an unexpected speed by shooting a Sludge bomb which struck Noibat directly. The small bat used Psychic but was cut off by a second incoming Sludge Bomb. Trying Psychic again, Noibat was again hit by a Poisonous Sludge Bomb and this time fell out of the air. "What did I tell ya?" He said, still mocking her.
Well, they wanted to make fun of small Dragons, did they? That was fine by her. She would make them eat those words. Dragalge repeated the Hydro Pump attack that had taken down Lucy but Trapinch weathered that, repeating Lucy's move which shook the ground and knocked out the powerful Dragon. Katie quickly returned Trapinch, not wanting to give him the satisfaction of knocking out a fourth Pokemon. Next he sent out a new and unusual Dragon. It was yet another she didn't recognize. Dragonair moved forward again and repeated the process of dodging all attacks and firing of Ice Beams until the defending Pokemon had to be returned for it's own safety.
She was now on a roll. He sent out a fourth Pokemon which looked as if it might have been a pre-evolved version of the previous one. Luckily she didn't have to stake her life on that, because while they were both in the same family they were forking paths on the evolutionary tree of an entirely different Pokemon. This one it seemed could fly. Knowing that the nearby Salamence might be her best defense if this battle went south, she kept him out of the battle intentionally. She sent out Aerodactyl instead. Aerodactyl performed beautifully, freezing the enemy twice with his Ice Fangs. He had taken a few hits in the process but the part that confused both battling Trainers was when Aerodactyl took a hit but Flapple fainted. "I see. Your Aerodactyl must have a hard head." He nodded, seemingly impressed. "Fine, you win."TL;DR

While all of this battling was taken Place, Salamence became increasingly frustrated that he was being kept out of the fight. he wanted to dig his new deadly claws into something and get in a few good hits. So he did what any logical thinking Pokemon would do and turned his frustration towards the closest wild Pokemon he could find. It was a wild Venemoth. He knew his Trainer essentially had her back turned so he took the opportunity to get into a battle of his own.
Venemoth didn't have any reason to suspect anything was about to happen before Salamence flew straight into it with a Headbutt. It used Psybeam and attempted to escaape but couldn't get far before a Draco Meteor fell from the sky and landed right on the bug. Among the rubble Venemoth's wing could be seen sticking out. When it woke up it would be able to dig itself out but until then it didn't look very good. He huffed and turned his attention to the battle in time to see Aerodactyl beat the Flapple.
Kira knew that she was in trouble now. All of her Pokemon were injured and even though she'd beaten two of them the others were not going to stand aside and let her walk away. She returned all of her Pokemon, including Salamence and Lucy. It was rather perfect timing when she sneezed and nearly wiped out all of those thugs at once. Again this provided her with the perfect opportunity to escape right back into the Pokemon Center. "You can't hide in there forever!" One of them yelled, though they weren't stupid enough to charge into the Pokemon Center and attack someone.
"Oh my, are you okay Dear?" The nurse asked, observing a heavily breathing Kira as she stared out of the doors as though she'd narrowly avoided being smooshed by a Wailord.
Kira turned around, jumping slightly at the sudden voice. Of course the Nurse would be there but she was on edge. "I just need you to heal my Pokemon, Please." Kira panted. She handed over all of her Pokeballs to the surprised Nurse who quickly went off to tend to them.

She watched the males become instantly enraged with a pleased look on her face. Good. If they were angry, they were more likely to make mistakes. One of them, for there were only two she had not yet beaten, seemed to have taken more insult from that than the others and stormed forward. He didn't say a word. Instead, he sent out a Toxicroak that used Sludge Bomb, actually trying to hit Kira! It might well have hit her and seriously injured her had it not been for Noibat. The bat released herself from her Pokeball and took the hit for her Trainer. Then, using psychic powers, Noibat lifted Toxicroak into the airand sent it flying back into it's Trainer.
He snarled out insults she couldn't make out as he untangled himself from his Pokemon, returned it, and sent out Gengar. She countered with Salamence, who exchanged a few blows with the ghost before standing victorious over his enemy. Salamence took to the sky and landed next to Kira.
Then the enemy sent out a Dustox and she chose Dragonair. Dustox sent flurries of poisonous powder into the air. Dragonair knew she would never be able to avoid all of it so she shot a Fire Blast that went right through the heart of the powder and hit Dustox. Unfortunately the flames couldn't destroy all of the powder and Dragonair became poisoned. Dragonair fell back, trying to avoide the moth but Dustox gave chase. Unfortunately for him, Dragonair had been feinting. Another Fire Blast hit the moth straight on. They exchanged Fire and Poison attacks but in the end Dustox proved to be too strong. Dragonair fainted.
Kira had to deal with this now, she had to come up with a plan to beat the deceptively strong Dustox. She was saved that decision by Salamence flying right back into the fight. All it took was once Crunch attack before the burn finished it off.
Next came the battle between a Roselia and Kira's Aerodactyl. Kira thought there was no way the little plant could stand up to the giant fossil, especially when he started using Fire Blast attacks left and right. That's what made it so terrible when Aerodactyl finally took his final attack and fell over backwards. Okay, so that caught Kira by surprise. However, Kira wasn't out of this yet. Roselia had been confused in the previous balttle, so Kira sent out Noibat to take advantage of that. Psychic would prove to be Roselia's undoing.

"Is this some sort of trick?" Kira asked, clearly mistrustful. He looked like he meant what he said, but people could be misleading. She knew that perfectly well. "How do I know you mean what you say? Your friends have already attacked me and chased me across two Cities.
"Yeah, well, I've already explained that they can be stupid, but they aren't bad people. Just... misguided." He gave them an affectionate look. "They're idiots, but they are my idiots. I'll tell you what. You clearly have a thing for Dragons. If you can beat me, I'll give you one of my favorite Dragon-Type Pokemon in the world. I've caught an extra, and they really can make all the difference on a team." When Kira looked interested at that, he took that as invitation to keep talking. "There's just one catch. I won't battle anyone who doesn't have at least five Badges. I just don't think it's fair to take advantage of people like that."
Kira raised her eyebrows at that. "I've got four, and I've already beaten all your friends." He laughed at that, but she didn't let him interrupt. "Fine, whatever. There's a Gym here in Fuschia that I was going to get anyway. I was just going to do a bit more training first, but if that's what I have to do to prove myself ready to kick your butt then I'll go and get the stupid badge." She turned on the spot, had her Pokemon checked up one last time before the big moment of truth, and then went down the road to the Gym.
Finding it nearly hidden in a nearby forest, she looked up at the mansion in awe. It was a gorgous place judging by the outside, and she couldn't wanit to see inside. Assuming she was in the right place that is. She'd hate to interrupt some poor family's dinner announcing her intention to fight them all for what she deserved. When she walked inside, she had to pause and let her brain catch up with her body. the inside could not have been more different from the outside. She might well have walked from the house of a royal into a house of mirrors. "Hello?" she called out, getting no response. "I'm here to challenge the Gym Leader."
"Come and find me then." Came a voice from within the mirrors. She narrowed her eyes. So, they were here to play games. Fine, she would play along for now. She walked straight into the entrance, knowing it would be much harder to navigate once she was inside. She didn't mind mazes - corn mazes and the such were actually a lot of fun for her. She did not, however, care for mirror mazes. It was only a matter of minutes before she was well and truly lost. She was just about to give up and try retracing her steps when she caught a glimpse of someone disappearing around a corner. She gave chase but realized that she was at a dead end. That's odd... very odd, there had been nowhere for anyone to go.
Feeling like she was walking into a trap, she released Charizard from her Pokeball. It had been a while since she'd used Charizard in a battle and she knew the starter would be itching to stretch her wings and get into a good fight. They were walking back to where she'd first seen the person out of the corner of her eye and there stood a Gloom where she'd been moments before. Gloom used Toxic, poisoning Charizard. She roared in anger and that's when she mega evolved! The light filtering in through the windows became severely brighter but that didn't really help them. In fact it made the light reflecting off the mirrors blinding.
Charizard tried whipping wind with her wings at the gloom, but when nothing happened except the mirror shaking, she knew their enemies were smart and experienced at this. They were hiding, using their reflections as a distraction. Charizard realized she'd have to be clever too. Gloom had to reveal itself to attack, so Charizard waited and watched. At the last moment when Gloom stepped out to use some Poison attack or another, Charizard hit it dead-on with a Fire Blast attack of unmatched proportion. Gloom never stood a chance.
Charizard was stomping forward to check on Gloom's status when an Arbok shot out of nowhere and wrapped tightly around Charizard's neck. Charizard roared, but that giave Arbok the chance to tighten even further. She tried digging her claws into the snake to get it to let go. When that didn't work, she shot figre into the Snake's face. Arbok merely re-positioned so that it's head was behind Charizard's head and out of sight. Charizard stomped and flapped her wings, but Arbok struck and bit twice to weaken her. That, along with the lack of oxygen, brought Charizard down to one knee. Then she slumped forward and did not move until Kira recalled her.
The snake collected itself and rose to it's full height waiting for Kira's next move with it's head swaying back and forth. She sent out Trapinch. She snapped her jaws and took an Ice Fang attack before Trapich's Earthquake did the necessary trick. Kira hurried forward and congratulated her Pokemon, healing it back to full health with Potions. Deciding to let Trapinch stay out as a friend, it made her feel better to have someone with her. A red light recalling Arbok lead Kira's gaze to a small-ish figure standing nearby. The figure folded their arm over their chest. Then another figure that was identical stepped out of the maze with a laugh. "You thought you had me? You'll have to do better than that."
Kira ran directly at the figure, who disappeared from sight. "Quit running away!" Kira shouted in frustration. All she got back was another laugh. She gave chase to no avail. It actually seemed like she was being run around in circles. Running, she whipped around the corner and skidded to a halt. There stood a Nidorino and a Nidorina. She looked down to Trapinch, nodding him forward, and sent out Noibat to join her. The Nido-duo charged and attacked fericiously slashing and clawing over and over and over. Trapinch and Noibat could barely withstand it. While Nidorino and Nidorina were attacking quickly and mercilessly, they were also attacking individually and just trying to inflict damage. Their enemies finished the battle by working together - with a combination of Earthquake and Psychic attacks.
Both Nidos were returned and Kira saw by who. It was the same person she'd beaten before. That didn't make any sense to her. She'd already beaten the kid once, why were they still around messing with her and fighting? Dealing with a combination of confusion and anger she returned all of her Pokemon and went after the person yet again. Along the way she made sure to heal her Pokemon with Potions, and reviving Charizard just to make sure she had every bit of help going forward.
This time she made it to the center of the maze, which seemed to be a battlefield of some sort. "Congratulations. You've made it this far." Came the same voice from before. She turned and spotted the person she'd been chasing this entire time.
"Yeah, not everyone can find the center of our maze." Came another, similar voice. She turned and the person was standing behind her also.
"Or avoid all our traps." She turned, and there was a third person identical to the first two waiting for her on the opposite end of the battlefield. Kira scowled, but approached her end of the field. "That's right, I'm the real Gym Leader. Ready for the real deal?" She held up a hand, a Pokeball between two fingers. It flew from her fingertips like a shuriken and out came a Weezing. Noibat used Psychic to keep Wheezing stationary and would have surely kept the advantage if it hadn't been for the sudden and unexpected explosion that rocked the ground. When the smoke cleared both Pokemon were down and both were then returned shortly after. "I was watching you battle earlier. Don't you think I know your Noibat was such a big threat to my Poison-type Pokemon? No, that pesky bat had to go first."
When she sent out a Venemoth Kira decided it was time to go big. She sent out Aerodactyl which seemed to surprise the Gym Leader. "You thought I came here with only one trick up my sleeve?" She asked, and Aerodactyl charged. Unfortunately he was unable to get the traction in his speed to take flight but that only made it that much more terrifying as it shrieked and stormed towards the moth. Maybe that's what made it take flight and go straight up. Aerodactyl missed it's bite by an inch before coming to a skidding halt a couple feet away. From above Venemoth sent an almost tangible buzzing sound straight down into Aerodactyl's face, but when Aerodactyl used Fire Blast straight up there was no escape. With Aerodactyl victorious, both Pokemon were returned for the next round.
"Full of surprises." Janine muttered. Sending out a Tentacruel, Kira gasped. She knew how dangerous they could be - not only to an enemy but to train. She had been taught that they had uncontrollable tempers. She knew that she needed to keep her Charizard as a worst case scenario so she sent out one of her next strongest Pokemon - Dragonair. Tentacruel quickly found it's tentacles wrapped around Dragonair's body, and used a Poison attack to the trapped Pokemon a few times before Dragonair threw caution to the wind and, in a panicked state, used Thunder on them both. Fortunately as Tentacruel was above Dragonair, it received most of the damage. Tentacruel wobbled for a moment, then took a second thunder attack. This time it fell with a heavy THUD before being returned.
"Down to my last Pokemon, but this one's a real game changer." Janine sent out a Muk. It's horrible odor was instantly overwhelming. Kira gagged, and covered her mouth and nose with her shirt. When she sent out Charizard, the mega evolved Pokemon even seemed momentarily stunned by how awful it was. This gave Muk an advantage to hit first, and hit twice in the span of time it took Charizard to shake the smell off and counter with Fire Blast. Muk kept up the assault, poisoning Charizard on contact with it's corrosive body. Charizard fell without even managing a second attack. Things didn't look so good for Kira at that point, but when she sent out Trapinch to finish the battle, she took two Gunk Shot attacks without barely even reacting and fired off a double-powerful Earthquake that took down the toxic Muk. Just like that, it was all over!

gravity_resistant Leader JanineJanine returned her Muk, it's toxic scent disappearing almost immediately at it's return. As if the Muk took it's stench with it. She made her way across the field with a grin on her face. "That was a fun battle. " she commented as she neared the challenger. She looked over the Trapinch as well as remembering the Pokémon she had with her. It was pretty surprising for such a young girl, and Janine was impressed. "You have quite a bit of strong Pokémon with you, and I can tell your team really suits you." Janine complimented as she pulled out the badges and rewards. She held them out to Kira, and let her retrieve the earned items. "It's clear you have a lot of fight in you, but generally Dragons and Dragon like Pokémon some times have a big temper so it might help you out if they got to take a breath. But I know you're gonna give Sabrina a run for her money." She told her with a kind tone. She began to make her away towards her side of the field, and stopped to look back at Kira. "Oh! If you keep to the left, you'll be back out in no time." Janine told her, pointing towards one of the entrances of the maze, giving her a quick way out since she defeated Janine. She gave the young challenger a wink, and just as she did she was engulfed in a small cloud of smoke. Once it cleared she was gone.Kira has received:

She followed the directions out of the Gym and on the walk back into town she found a Chansey and Nidorino. Nidorino looked ready for a fight but Chansey didn't seem interested. Kira sent out Salamence. Salamence put on a spectacular fight, even showcasing a new move - Zen Headbutt. Kira felt silly not having used Salamence in the Gym Battle because Zen Headbutt would have been the perfect move to use against the Poison-Type Pokemon. Nidorino went down and Chansey decided it would step up to the plate after all. Unfortunately it had no more juk against Salamence than it's companion had. After a duo of Fire Blast attacks, Kira was back on her way to the Pokemon Center to have her Pokemon healed. TL;DR

Apollo continued to walk holding Teddy in his arms. It was his first time leaving Celadon in over a month, so it was fairly exciting and bitter sweet to get on the move again. He did like the excitement of experiencing new things. but he had been traveling form the start with Kira. It was sad being on his own again. But at least he had Teddy to keep him company. And his shiny Wooper of course, who was bobbing and hopping down the trail next to him, which he had healed after the previous meowth battle. At least he had a strong bond with his Pokemon, so he won't really be alone. The closer they got to the city, the more salt water they could smell in the air. This was a welcomed scent, he loved the ocean and the beach. It definitely held good memories so this made him hope for the best. As they began towards the city, a Ponyta trotted out in to the open. It was a good time to train, so he figured why not. "Alright Wooper lets try focusing the Surf into sweeping the Pokemon away." He advised. The wooper replied with an 'oopa!' as he readied the attack. The fire pony knew what this was going to lead to and charged the Wooper, but before it could knock him off his feet, the shiny pokemon swept the horse away.[/size] {Wooper VS Ponyta (Click)}

Apollo had been walking around with Wooper, doing quick little battles to help train up the happy go lucky newt. But truth be told he had already grown bored of the battles. He was ready to be done and over with it. It was so repetitive. He never was a fan of the small battles like these, however he knew that his Pokémon had suffered a pretty tough defeat, and only came in clutch when Clefairy power housed through Erika. He had gotten lucky that she was able to dodge those moves, otherwise he wasn't confident he would have won. He wanted to get through the league and not only prove himself he could, but also accomplish what he could for Carrie. The thought crossed his mind to stop battling in the league and start doing some investigative work.
Just as he began to really consider that idea, his Pokedex beeped. He flinched; it hadn't done that before, so he opened it and saw he had a message. It opened up to reveal his boss. Carrie Sunita in her chipper reporter voice. He listened as she had announced the World Race. He stopped in his tracks. Should he enter? It would be good publicity for the new station if he did well... As well as he was in limbo while he waited for a response from Carrie. He pulled up the locations around the world he would need, he was already in a starting location... He bit his lip then took a deep breath. "Why not?" He questioned causing Teddy to perk up, having been sitting in his hood. Apollo returned Wooper and took off running. It was a race after all so he sprinted towards the Pokecenter. He burst into the door and ran for the nurse at the counter, who didn't seem too startled at his entrance. "Hello Joy! I would love a little bookie, and a stamp to start the race!" He chimed excitedly as a frantic Teddy was squirming in his hood at the sudden motion. The Joy agreed and stamped his booklet and handed it off to him wishing him luck. Elfana Aroway Elfana briefly considered stopping by the Safari Zone when she first arrived in Fuschia City but decided against it. She didn't think she would be able to keep control of her temper. A place where Pokemon could live peacefully in their natural environment sounded wonderful. The Safari Zone wasn't that- as much as it tried to claim it was. The only difference between the Safari Zone and the nearby Pokemon Zoo was that the Pokemon in the Safari Zone were collected for sport. The thought disgusted her. Catching Pokemon in the wild was fine. Catching Pokemon in captivity and pretending it was the "wild" was vile. The Pokemon in the Safari Zone were no more free than the Pokemon in the Zoo. Elfana made it a point to rush to the Pokemon Center and collect her stamp as quickly as possible. As soon as her book was stamped she turned to Walter and waited. She didn't feel she needed to explain what she wanted. The group was Teleported out of the Pokemon Center and on to the next area. She would never return to Fuschia City if she could avoid it.Kanto

She entered the Pokemon Center to find that, unlike Cinnabar Island, Fuschia City was bustling with activity. Apparently the Nurse Joy was dealing with an influx of Poisonings from Trainers who faced off against Janine and come off worse for wear. Kira hadn't even struggled against the young Gym Leader, but she could appreciate how weaker Trainers might have trouble with her. She had the habit of Poisoning a Pokemon and letting their health dwindle down over time while keeping them too busy with attacks to heal or properly defend themselves.
Still, she had been no match for Kira's dragons. They had made short work of her and moved on to other things - namely the flurry of Gym Badges she'd earned since then from other Regions. The Nurse Joy was happy to stamp Kira's book, making verbal note of the fact that she now only had eight more stamps to collect. The gathered Pokemon Trainers suddenly became much more interested in the fiery young girl, and gathered around her to see if it was true. Suddenly she felt like that one guy must have when he'd gotten to ninety stamps, and it really hit her all at once just how big a deal it was that she had passed up that milestone already.

She made her way into the facility and met with Nurse Joy, able to get her next stamp for the Kanto Region with only four more left to visit before they were finished and ready to move on to tackle the very last leg of the race around the world.
