Settled on the edge of the western cape within the trees of the forest there, Rustboro City can be found, the hub of industrial activity and development in the Hoenn Region. Being the third largest city in the entirety of the region, it's no wonder that Rustboro is able to maintain a steady flow of activity and business that comes through day in and day out with the Devon Corporation building being at the heart of it all. There any and most of the technology and advancements in technology for the region are developed and brought to life by the many people that work there. Since the Devon building had been built, Rustboro actually had to expand to accommodate for the amount of people moving there for jobs, and since then, with it's stone structures and buildings and stone walkways, Rustboro has stood proud and strong as the captain of industry.
{ Rustboro City Gym (Click)}Roxanne is the official Gym Leader of the Rustboro Gym. She believes Rock-type Pokémon to be the sturdiest and the strongest of all types, which is why she not only trains rock types, but she studies them as well. She was hired as the Rustboro's Gym Leader because of her very high scores at the Pokemon Training School, as well as her highly successful battle training scores. Roxanne is a very intelligent battler, however her strategy is mostly by the book, which is a great strength as well as a huge flaw. She is a high scholar in the training world, but she never lets that go to her head. She loves facing many new opponents to see them demonstrate how they battle and with which Pokémon. She finds that each battle teach her something new, whether it's about her own Pokémon, or someone elses. When she isn't at the Gym, Roxanne can be found back in the school teaching classes to younger, and new trainers. Not only that, she's also created a class that teaches both trainer and Pokémon self-defense in the real world rather then in just battle. In her school, she has had many guest speakers and teachers, giving her quite a few famous friends around the world. Some of which being Professor Oak, Wallace, Lt. Surge, and even Bill to name a few. According to a TV show interview on Trouble Talk she did, she explained that she is an expert in Fossils and not only that, she has been written up in a number of magazines for her expertise. She is also a friend of Steven Stone and joins stone hunting groups with him. Roxanne's gym sticks out quite a bit in the City's skyline, the outside being decorated as if it were an actual large boulder. After continuing into the gym, the rocky walls continue into the gym as well, making it seem that the gym was carved into a preexisting rock, and some believe it actually was. At first, the front of the gym doesn't look like a gym at all, more so like a museum. At the front of the gym, there appears to be a lobby type area where glass cases, and displays decorate the area, showcasing many many fossils, artifacts, and various stones that Roxanne has collected on her many stone hunts. After traveling past this, the hard tile begins into hard rock as the real gym begins. The area opens up into a much wider and open area then the museum area, and is almost completely flat aside from the few craters, and ridged area from previous battles. She woke around noon, collected all of her Pokemon, and set out to explore the city. She took most interest in the Department store, spending hours looking through the different levels which all seemed to sell different things. On a whim, she decided to purchase a much more effective Ultra Ball, which would come in handy for capturing stronger Pokemon later down the road. Only then, in passing, did she hear a couple of kids discussing the Pokemon Gym.
Apparently one of them had tried to battle her, and lost. "Yeah, she was so strong! I didn't stand a chance." He looked down at one of his Pokeballs and let out a depressed-sounding sigh. "I guess I'll just have to keep training with Torchic here and... who knows." There was a Gym Leader here, one she could actually challenge?! That set her blood pumping faster than anything had yet that day. She ran off, tapped the down button on the elevator furiously, and then left the Department Store at a run to find it. She was ready for this.

Coconut replaces the smell of the bar, and I don't know if it's her or the rum. ♪ The moment Katie saw the Rustboro City Pokemon Gym, she knew what she was in store for. The building itself was shaped like a giant boulder, possibly carved out of actual stone - or else designed to be identical to true rock. That meant this Gym Leader would likely specialize in Rock- or Ground-Type Pokemon. She'd learned from someone that Gym Leaders specialized in one type, and what else could it be here?! She stepped inside, and true to her earlier thoughts it was exactly like stepping into some sort of massive cave. There were display cases in front of her, but beyond them she could see the actual Gym. Katie had very little interest in the stones set out for view, and walked right past them all until she was standing in front of a young boy. "I'm here to challenge you." She declared, much more boldly than she felt. The kid shrugged, and said; "Alright then, send out your first Pokemon." She hesitated, but knew Treecko was a good choice to counter the type of this Gym Leader. She looked at her shoulder, where the Gecko was perched, and nodded. Treecko jumped down and waited. "Now, Tackle!" The kid shouted, and a rock to their left shifted and slammed heavily into Treecko. Recovering quickly, the gecko stuck firmly to Geodude's head and started sucking the health from his enemy. Geodude slammed a rocky fist into Treecko, but a second Absorb won them the battle. "Oh no." The kid muttered, and returned his Pokemon. "Okay, okay, you win." Katie started forward expectantly. TL;DR

Coconut replaces the smell of the bar, and I don't know if it's her or the rum. ♪ She started forward to accept whatever prize the Gym Leaders gave out as proof for the win, when a voice stopped her short. "Not so fast." The voice was feminine, steady and strong. "He's a Gym Trainer, there to see if you're ready to battle me." Apparently she'd been sitting in the stands, watching the battle. So, this was the true Gym Leader. Katie looked annoyed, feeling as though she'd just been tricked and wasted her time by battling the fake Gym Leader.
Katie swallowed her pride and accepted the fact that she'd have to take part in another battle relatively quick. She returned to the painted box that told her where to stand and sprayed the spot where Geodude had hit Treecko with a Potion. "Alright, let's do this then!" Really, she should have known that was far too easy to be the real challenge. Oh well, nothing she could do about it now except get over it. "I guess you'll use a Rock-Type like he did, so I'm going to keep Treecko here in the battle."
Roxanne hopped down, landing steadily on the rocky battlefield. "Good guess, but my Geodude isn't going to be quite as easy to beat." She was quickly made to eat those words as Treecko used the exact same strategy of clinging to Geodude and absorbing any health that he'd lost from the Rock-Type's attacks. Geodude couldn't even take more than the two Absorb attacks that the other Geodude had taken. Not even the potentially devastating Magnitude attacks were enough to stop the Grass-Type.
Though she considered leaving Treecko in for the next battle, she saw the heavy Rock-Type with a giant nose and decided against it. Besides, she wanted her favorite Pokemon - Rowlet - to experience a real Gym Battle as well. The owl flew around excitedly, flapping it's small wings in a struggle to keep itself air-borne. Without even waiting for an order, Rowlet launched a succession of grass-like feathers that flew down and cut gouges into Nosepass's body.
It grunted, but threw some of the rocks nearby at Rowlet. The owl landed on the ground, one of the spare rocks falling down on his head. "No, Rowlet, you have to get up and attack again!" The owl shook itself off, feathers bristled, straightening his dual-leaf bowtie before using Razor Leaf a second time. Even the bulky and defensive Nosepass couldn't take the second attack. TL;DR

Leader RoxanneRoxanne returned her beloved Nosepass with a sigh. It never felt good to lose a battle, but she valued every battle she got to partake in. Win or lose, she knew it was a chance to see a new battle tactic. Everyone had their own tactic, it was like a signature. Some might have identical battle strategies, but everyone had their own battle quirks, and she valued getting to know everyone's, even if it meant losing. "Ah, I see your tactics." She said giving her a smile. "You battle with type advantage, It's a pretty smart strategy." she spoke as she began across the field, smoothing out her skirt as she walked across the battle field she destroyed herself. "It's a good way to battle I think. Brains over brawn. Though Brawly might not agree." she said with a laugh. "But it might not help you against him, he has a few tricks up his sleeves." she warned the girl as she got to her. Roxanne began to reach into the pocket of her dress and began to feel for the rewards. "Your Rowlet might have some things to learn, don't we all though? But I don't think you will have any troubles in the league!" she told her with proud smile. "You earned these." she told her, holding out the badge and rewards.Katie has received:

She gushed at the tiny owl. She listened to Roxanne's praise, and advice, deciding that she would probably need to toughen up her Pokemon. This Brawly guy sounded like he liked the straight-on offensive. She would have to get faster, stronger, or cleverer. That much would be likely. She left the Gym, went to have her Pokemon healed at the Center, and then she was ready to move on from this place. -Backpack-

She had quickly left the cave and after a very short walk found herself right back in Rustboro City. It was one of the largest Cities she had been in yet. It was the location of her first ever Gym Battle. She wasn't planning on stopping by the Gym for a visit, however. No. This was one of the first ever Cities she had come to, which means it'd be one of the first Cities he would come to. Absolutely not going to happen. She was confident that if he found her, he would kill her this time. He would beat her so severely, and finally cross that line he had threatened to cross a thousand times in their 'relationship'.

Coconut replaces the smell of the bar, and I don't know if it's her or the rum. ♪ Katie hastily raced to the Pokemon Center to have her Pokemon looked after. Unfortunately the Nurse wanted to observe Munchlax when Katie asked about why he hadn't attacked. She would ask the Pokemon to use attacks, but throughout the evening it would not hurt anyone else. She returned her Pokemon, but had no answer for the girl. In the end, the blonde just decided not to push the Pokemon too hard in future training. Perhaps it still needed to get used to his new Trainer before trusting her and fighting for her. Katie left the Pokemon Center and, feeling as though time was slipping away from her at an alarming rate, asked around for which way she should go.

Katie was in quite the hurry to get out of Rustboro and disappear into the mountains to the North. Ever since she had come back to this City the idea had been lurking in the back of her mind. It only just now surfaced completely as she started walking towards them. It would be possible to lose herself up there, so what chance did he have of finding her? Coconut replaces the smell of the bar, and I don't know if it's her or the rum. ♪ Getting free of the cave, they still had a bit of a walk ahead of them until they got to the bustling Rustboro City. She only had to stop once, sitting down on a ledge to rest before scooting down a hill to get to the path below. She couldn't have walked down that hill anyway, so there was no harm in the break. However, the rest of the time she toughed it out in painful silence. When they got to the Pokemon Center in the City at long last, she was pale-faced and had to sit down on a chair in the waiting section for a long time before she felt able to make it to the front counter. There she handed over her Pokemon, booked a room, and then hobbled off to find the room to which the key she'd been given would fit.
She laid down on the bed and tried to think about everything that had happened in the past few days. It seemed unreal that the girl who had run from her problems for weeks now would be given the task of fixing other people's problems. Then she let her mind return to what had been plaguing her. He knew she was here, right here in Hoenn. How had he found out? The only people who knew were Professor Kukui and her Parents. Kukui was strong - Professional Wrestler strong, but her Parents wouldn't be able to protect themselves if he'd gone to their home. It was the only explanation that made sense. He had gotten the information out of them. They wouldn't have told him unless their lives were in danger, but had he hurt them? Were they...
No. She didn't want to think about that possibility. She tried desperately to change her train of thought but her mind refused to cooperate. She could see them, in their home, dying. She had a wild imagination so it wasn't hard to picture him hurting them like he had hurt her. What if they were in their house right now, unable to call out for help. She had no idea if anyone was even checking on them anymore. Would the Professor? She didn't know. She was pretty sure that even if something had happened, she wouldn't find out until he found her - he would want to hurt her by bragging about it. Not even Professor Kukui knew where in Hoenn she was to get a message like that to her, and it wasn't the sort of information you pass along in a letter.

Katie had a long night. She spent hours laying there in that bed sorting through thoughts she'd rather not be having at all. The few times she did doze off, it was only for a short period of time before she jerked awake. Every time that this happened, she felt worse. When morning finally came she felt entirely unrested. So she got up, dressed in her Rangers Uniform, and walked down to the Nurse's Station to see how her Pokemon were doing. Turns out they were all just fine. The Nurse, however, spotted Katie limping and insisted on checking her out. Apparently she'd been hurt more than any of them had.
To her surprise, she was told that she had a pretty serious sprain. It had swollen up in the night. The Nurse told her that it could get worse, and that she would need to rest for it to heal. Katie didn't care for that idea - she'd had enough stuck inside a place for long periods of time. Even though she knew the Pokemon Center was a different situation, she had no intention of staying here for that long. So she thanked the Nurse, collected her Pokemon, and gingerly walked out of the Pokemon Center for the City beyond.

Not because the timer on Swablu's Ranger-Capture was about to run out - the device would warn her before that happened. Not because she had some pressing time-sensitive mission to complete - things were quiet and she had not received any alerts. However, there was that little problem of her abuser coming to find her... okay, fine. So it was a great-white-whale of a problem and her very life could depend on keeping out of his sight.
She hobbled out of the Center and walked into Rustboro City. She spotted a wild Pokemon floating further down the street and sent out Aipom to dispatch it with a single Thunder attack. She wanted her Pokemon to get all the experience they could possibly have between now and the moment she came face to face with him again. She knew when that happened, it would be on; on sight. Her Pokemon wouldn't know what was going on and she didn't know how to make them understand.
She was worried about them because that day could be the very worst days of their life. If they didn't get seriously hurt, they could lose their Trainer... forever. She couldn't bear to think of what might happen to them if they were separated from her. Maybe it was selfish to use her Pokemon to face off against him. Maybe she leave her Pokemon with the Nurse - with instructions to send them to Professor Kukui (and if they were okay, her Parents) - if anything happened to her. The thought of facing him alone terrified her beyond belief. TL;DR

Coconut replaces the smell of the bar, and I don't know if it's her or the rum. ♪ Rustboro City was a peaceful calm compared to the turmoil going on inside of Katie. Two halves of a whole were competing to see what she would do - run away, or stay and fight. She wasn't sure that he was even coming after her. However, knowing him as she did, it was a fair guess. During her reflection however, she decided that she would keep her Pokemon with her. They deserved the right to fight with her when that time came about. They had earned that much.
Suddenly, an alert caught her attention. She played the message that told her about another child who had lost their Pokemon. This time it was in Petalburg City. Well, she knew how to get there. It was just on the other side of the Petalburg Woods. If she was going to make it by nightfall, she would have to move now and move quickly. However, the boy standing around with his Geodude suggested otherwise. "If you want to get to Roxanne..." He squeeked at them. "...you'll have to show us you're ready!" Obviously they must see novices come through here all the time. Well, he would show them what it was to have real power. He would teach them to fear it, to respect it. When Jasper stepped forward this time, Rex and Lucky remained put. Litten was at his side, and the boy smirked. "Fire. Hah."
Jasper looked at the boy, who seemed to falter a bit under the death stare. Geodude picked himself up on his arms and palmed forward until he could set himself down on between them. Jasper glanced down at Litten, and decided to think better of that idea. He sent out Stufful instead. Rex and Lucky exchanged worried looks but said nothing. This was the first time they had seen this addition to Jasper's team, and it looked to weak and girly to do anything other than cute something to death. Some little stuffed animal was supposed to win this?
They were proven wrong almost instantly. Stufful walked forward on four legs and sniffed Geodude. The Rock/Ground-Type took a swipe at Stufful's nose, and the Pokemon retaliated with a dark force that seemed to shoot right through Geodude. They realized Geodude could not move moment's later. As it struggled, Stufful rose up on two hind legs, wound it's paw back, and slammed it right into the top of Geodude's head. It was knocked out instantly, and Jasper healed then returned his Pokemon only to walk up to the real battlefield and the real Gym Leader. "I have some questions. Guess I have to beat you first?"

Leader RoxanneRoxanne didn't get too much of a warning, after Tommy was beaten. The brunette was reading in her rocky gym, on one of the many rocks there. The male came into few as he walked into her battle field and out of the museum. She looked up, usually Tommy battled on the battle field, but he had been caught unawares by challengers a few times. But when he was, she didn't get a heads up to be ready for the challenger. She looked up from her book at the male as he entered as purposed he had questions and then spoke about beating her first. She often taught at the schools, and traveled to speak at schools, so she always was more then happy to answer. Roxanne smiled as she bookmarked her book and set it down. "Of course! I'd always be happy to help out a trainer with their questions. Win or lose." she explained kindly, as she hopped down from her make shift seat and began towards the battle field. She quickly began to analyze what she could see. A Litten. She obviously had the advantage against the Pokemon, but she was sure he wouldn't use it. But she found it very interesting. An alolan starter, that excited her. Maybe she was in for a real battle with Pokemon that wasn't usual to the Hoenn region. "I'm always ready for a battle." She added honestly as she let out her own Geodude. She was more then ready to battle other Alolan Pokemon. UNTIL THE DAY I DIE Well, she had used a Geodude. That was interesting, and confirmed his suspicions that Litten was going to be next to useless for this one. So he took a chance and sent out the Pokemon he had stolen from that cop back in the alleyway after they had beaten him. Turns out it was a Mimikyu! Awesome, he'd always wanted one of these. They were supposed to be really dangerous. The idea of his team turning out to be a dangerous force to be reckoned with appealed to him. "Well, what are you waiting for?" Mimikyu looked at him, trying for the most part to figure out who the heck he was.
Pokemon got traded all the time, but he never would have believed her Trainer had traded her away. Well, that could be sorted out later. She was in a battle right now and that had to take her attention. She flew forward and twisted just before meeting Geodude, vanishing from sight. Whether Geodude tried to take a swipe or not, Mimikyu would next appear in the air over Geodude's head and slash down with a shadowy arm from beneath the cloth.

But she didn't have too much time to dwell on the matter as he let out a Mimikyu. A very interesting choice! This made Roxanne smile, she hadn't really gotten to battle one of these little creatures, and she found it very interesting. She obviously read about Mimikyu's from Alola, and their behavior but it was a whole other story about getting to battle one. Roxanne stalled a moment however, the little ghost looked around and then to the unnamed trainer. It seemed confused, at least she thought it did, but it could have any expression under there and she'd never know. But the challenger asked what was holding the Pokemon which really did the trick. The ghost launched into action. The geodude was ready to block the attack with her strong arms. But before she could, it disappeared. "Stay sharp!" Roxanne called out, but the ghost reappeared over the rock, and took a swipe at her. The rock wavered in the air, but recovered quickly. "Knock it away from you!" Roxanne called out, wanting to keep the ghost at a good arms length away from there Pokemon. Instead of taking a swing at the ghost above her, she swiftly shifted in the air, and gave the ground a strong punch. From behind her, the ground jetted out and went straight towards the Mimikyu, to slam into it and knock it away.[Make sure you're completely filling in the damage info to your Pokemon's moveset. UNTIL THE DAY I DIE "Use your strongest move." He said, which couldn't possibly sound suspicious enough to give the game up. That made it sound as though he already knew what the move was rather than just telling it to attack with whatever it could. Mimikyu set herself to do something she knew was going to hurt a great deal and dashed forward. It feinted to the left, then shot to the right and whipped a wooden tail-like appendage around. It made a WHACK sound as it crashed into Geodude's face. For a moment they both sat there, and then a force seemed to shoot through them both. Mimikyu flew back towards Jasper, who returned the Pokemon quickly. It had done it's job, but it had also shown weakness. He would have to decide which mattered more to him later.
In the meantime he pulled out another Pokeball. The fancy one. Rex and Lucky exchanged a look, knowing what was about to happen. Jasper aimed it, not daring to throw this most valuable of Pokeballs and risk so much as scratching it. Kartana appeared, gliding from side to side on a nonexistent breeze. There they waited to see what the Gym Leader would sent out next - Geodude had been easy enough to beat but he wasn't going to count her out just yet. He wanted to see if she had anything more impressive up her sleeve before passing his final judgement on her.

gravity_resistantLeader RoxanneRoxanne had expected her comment to get a rise out of the male at least, maybe start a conversation. But he seemed to be ignoring her entirely. "Hmm, Okay then." She commented. He seemed to have gone awfully quiet after he asked her to answer a few questions. He was acting like she wasn't there, and the battle was just happening. Though, he shortly there after just called for Mimikyu's strongest attack. Roxanne was surprised at how it was called for, maybe they were use to just saying that to catch them by surprise. Boy did it. The Mimikyu zipped around the field, avoiding all of the rock's advances, only to use it's wooden tail to whip around and slam into the rock's face like a base ball bat. It forced the floating rock backwards. It landed hard on the ground and seemed to roll backwards. Roxanne knew what that move was, and it was clear why it did so much damage. But it seemingly was to much for the ghost fairy type, seeing as it was quickly returned. The male soon let out a Pokemon that Roxanne began to rack her brain to try and think what it was. She stared silently for a quick moment, before letting out her next Pokemon. It wasn't a legendary... But she hadn't seen what ever that was... "What....What is that?" She questioned pulling out another Pokeball. "What ever that thing is... I'm going to do my best." Roxanne stated, not betting on the male to acknowledge her, and to ignore her like he had been. She let out her Pokemon, the Nosepass. The magnet Pokemon whirled around in the air, then stuck in a direction. Facing north. "Lets not wait to see what it can do. Nosepass Use Magnitude!" Roxanne called out. The living compass began to shutter in the air, before suddenly rocketing downwards. It slammed against the floor and sent out a wave of ground. It caused a small crater around it, but sent rocks jetting out wards in the direction of the unknown being. The ground slammed into the weightless looking thing. UNTIL THE DAY I DIE Jasper and Kartana faced off against Roxanne and Nosepass. He knew that this, more so than the Geodude, was the real test of this Gym. It was the symbol of Rustboro City. "This is a Pokemon from another dimension." He said, smirking as he was basically bragging. There were a few accounted Pokemon from other worlds, from space, and from prehistory. They were rare by nature, and for him to have one made him quite pleased with himself. At her word, the Nosepass attacked and hit Kartana pretty hard. Jasper could tell instantly that Kartana was infuriated, like those Ultra Beasts from Poni Canyon. It didn't like being hit, and all logic went out the window.
Kartana swept forward and slashed a paper-thin blade across the bulbous nose. Presumably Rock-Types could heal just the same as any other Pokemon, otherwise that would leave a pretty unpleasant wound. Jasper stared, shocked. The last thing he needed was to be hunted down here for the murder of some Gym Leader's Pokemon. So he was planning to return the Kartana before it could do any more damage, but before he could the Nosepass made another move. TL;DR

gravity_resistantLeader RoxanneRoxanne looked up to the young man as he answered her for the first time. She expected to have been ignored the entire battle. However, she almost wish she had been. A look of confusion washed over her face as her eyes flicked from the unnamed challenger and then back to the 'Pokemon' at question. Her expression changed to that one of disbelief. She was aware of some Pokemon that were interdimensional beings, but they were legendaries. Most everyone knew about them at least. She had never seen this thing that looked like origami. "I don't know if you expect me to belief that, or you're just joking... I think we'd know if there were interdimensional Pokemon around." The young scholar commented, having yet to fully read what had happened in Alola. When she did, she might have a lot to rethink and study. But her answer seemed to give the 'Pokemon' that was unknown to Roxanne time to counter attack. The Pokemon moved very quickly in the air, and came at Nosepass as if it's arms were swords, at least what she believed to be arms. She was unable to call out to her Pokemon in time, but the magnetized Pokemon felt the metal moving quickly towards her. She might not have exactly been looking at the Pokemon, having been facing north, but she suddenly shift in the air, and tilted sideways to dodge the sword. Luckily she was able to dodge and avoid her nose form getting sliced, but the top corner of it's head got nicked. The attack was strong enough to send the living compass spinning through the air weightlessly, as if you spun a floating magnet. It continued to spin frantically, but Roxanne could see the piece of rubble that the origami Pokemon had sliced off of her Pokemon. "Nosepass!" She called out, as the Pokemon slowly stopped spinning, as it began to reorient itself north. The Pokemon was made of rock, and metal. It was hard, so she knew the Pokemon had to hit hard to cause that piece of rock to get cut off. Unnecessarily hard. Her nosepass let out a metallic groan. She knew her Pokemon was okay. She then turned her attention to the challenger. "What ever that thing is, you need to keep a leash on it!" Roxanne shouted angrily. The thing had injured, and possibly scarred her Pokemon. Had she not try and dodge it, she could have been terribly wounded. "Nosepass, if you're still strong enough. Use Rock throw. Keep it at bay." Roxanne called out. She didn't want to force her Pokemon further into danger by getting close to it again. UNTIL THE DAY I DIE He didn't feel bad about the Gym Leader's Pokemon, but due to reasons of self-preservation he was keen to get his own off of the battlefield. Just as he was about to return his Pokemon, the Nosepass launched a flurry of flying stones. Kartana tried to glide left, right, up, down, anything to avoid the oncoming stones but in the end they hit and dragged Kartana to the ground. His Pokemon was pinned as more stones landed on top of it. Now, recalling his Pokemon because he lost was a lot different than returning his Pokemon because he wanted to. He was... confused. He had watched Ultra Beasts destroy acres and acres of land as well as an entire canyon. How could Kartana have been beaten by some wimpy little giant-nosed freak?
"Fine. You want to play dirty, we can play dirty too." He hoped she wouldn't know this next Pokemon, and that it's cute would deceive her into underestimating the fluffy pink teddy bear. Stufful appeared and blinked in the artificial light. It stared at the Nosepass, and started to inch it's way closer on the pretext of sniffing the air and getting to know it's enemy. If it got close enough... it wouldn't be pretty. Jasper realized too late that his smirk might have betrayed them and hastened to rearrange his features into a poker face. He just had to hope that she hadn't noticed, and that even if she had that she wouldn't realize what this meant. Despite all that, if she knew the danger a Stufful could present then their game was up anyway.

gravity_resistantLeader RoxanneThe brunette knew her Nosepass was hanging on by a thread. That what ever it was did a number, it scarred the magnetic Pokemon, at least she though he might of. She was going to remain hopeful, she won't be able to tell until after the battle. She knew her Pokemon were sturdy. They were the strongest types after all, according to her. But if Nosepass was still hanging on, the brunette figured she could continue just fine. Her Pokemon knew their limits and she wasn't trying to call it. The strange being wavered in the air dodging a few rocks, but subsequently it was caught by the rocks. She was proud of her Pokemon for hanging on. The challenger spoke out again, claiming if she was playing dirty so will he. "Excuse me?" She asked, it wasn't in an entitled tone, more of a confused one. She had just been battling like anyone would. "Pray tell how I'm playing dirty, if you would." She commented calmly. She knew everything about battling, and she knew she wasn't playing dirty. She was conducting a battle just like any other Gym leader would. She was curious of how he would answer. He then let out a Stufful. She knew the Pokemon, they weren't rare or uncommon Pokemon, in Alola at least. They were rare here in Hoenn obviously. She knew what they were, how they battled, and what they evolved too. But not necessarily their behavior. She knew they could be strong, but any Pokemon could in her book. But she was confident in her Rock Pokemon to be stronger. She just hoped Nosepass could hang on. "While you figure out your answer, I'll continue with the battle." Roxanne stated. His expression had changed a bit since the Pokemon had been let out. But she didn't put much behind it. She just assumed this must be his strongest Pokemon, or one of them at least. She at least could see the stufful trying to make it's way closer. "What ever the plan is, lets try and keep them away. Use Magnitude." Roxanne called out. The Nosepass teetered in the air, before rocketing downwards. The Pokemon had been weakened notably, but she did what she could and sent the earth jetting out towards the little bear. He hadn't realized that he'd spoken loud enough for her to hear across the battlefield, but he chose to pretend like it hadn't happened. Maybe she'd take the hint from that. Just like before, those stones came flying at his Pokemon. Only this time the Magnitude didn't seem to do nearly as much damage. Little did he know it had as much to do with Stufful's ability as the poor 'luck of the draw' from the attack itself. "Stufful, do your thing!" Stufful's expression suddenly changed. It went from cute and curious to pure anger. Stufful stormed the distance between them and whipped an arm much stronger than it seemed into the bulbous nose a few times before finally settling and walking calmly back to the Trainer. He returned Stufful. When it seemed clear there were no more Pokemon for her to use, he made his way over to her to accept his rewards. Before she could say much, he decided to ask what he wanted to know. "I'm actually in Hoenn looking for my Cousin. Our family is worried about her. She'd be about..." gravity_resistantLeader RoxanneRoxanne returned her Pokemon after the beating she had taken from the stufful, left in silence yet again to her question as she expected. She must have known something about Stufful's strength, but regardless she had lost fair and square. She didn't look upset, or disappointed at her loss, maybe a bit worried for her nosepass, but she had learn something. She battled a Pokemon she never had before. There was a lot of research to do, and she was excited about that. However, she did like the Pokemon she had battled, it was the trainer she didn't exactly like. Roxanne began to ready her rewards, and pull out her badge, seeing the male cross the battle field. She held it out and opened her mouth to congratulate him, but he cut her off before she could. She blinked for a moment, surprised by his question and the suddenness of it all. She was a teacher and had met plenty of blonde woman and girls. She clenched the gym badge back in her hand to keep him from taking it yet. "Well," She spoke, bringing her Stone badge into view, making it the focal point as the searched her brain for an answer to his question, and how she should answer. "First things first, congratulations on your win." She told him, holding out his rewards again. "I do need to give you a piece of advise before I respond to your question. Your Pokemon are strong, but they can only get so far if you aren't going to help them. You didn't call for a single attack. I would take time to learn about your Pokemon before continuing through the league." Roxanne spoke, giving what she thought might be helpful advise. Leaving the Pokemon to battle for themselves wasn't exactly an effective way to battle. She assumed he was trying to actually get somewhere in the league rather then get information. "As to your question," She began taking another pause with a thoughtful expression. "I've met quite a few blonde, or quiet woman recently, however I wouldn't be comfortable really giving out their information." She explained calmly. "So my response will be the same as how you treated me in battle. Which is silence." She finished calmly, she was clearly calm and had no tone of anger in her voice. She just racked her brain for the most logical explanation. What if she had sent him after a woman that wasn't his cousin? Why couldn't they call her? If she was doing gym battles, she wasn't in danger. Plus, maybe she believed he would learn how to treat people, and not ignore them. Roxanne turned and moved to make her exit, she got a few steps and sighed. "Gym Battles are public record, so if you are really worried about her. You could at least see if she challenged me." Roxanne answered, unable to leave him hanging.
